Prometheus Cave Natural Monument, also known as Kumistavi Cave, is a vast limestone cave located 21km from Kutaisi in Tsqaltubo, Georgia. The cave stretches about 11 km in total, with 1060m open to visitors and features 22 chambers, six of which are accessible to tourists. Visitors can embark on an easy walk through the cave illuminated by multi-colored LEDs that highlight its stunning stalactites and stalagmites.
It was an enjoyable experience, taking about an hour to explore the entire cave. Be ready for walking and climbing stairs. No jacket was needed during our July-August visit, as the cave was cool and refreshing. Aim to be at the front of the queue to better hear the guide, as groups can include up to 100 people.
Awesome L — Google review
Relatively enjoyable experience, it takes about an hour to complete the guided tour through the cave. The tour I was on spoke the information In Georgian, English and then Russian which I feel was too much. It would be better to split into language groups which would make the groups more manageable…there must have been 60 people on the one I was on. The cave itself is very beautiful though and the pathways are well kept. Well worth visiting, just go in the morning and on a weekday when it’s quieter!
Ellie S — Google review
Well-presented cave with good atmosphere Prometheus Cave is worth the visit if you're in Kutaisi. The cave itself is impressive, but what really elevates it is how they've set it up. Each hall has its own music and lighting that changes as you move through. It's not overdone—actually adds to the experience rather than feeling gimmicky. Made viewing each section more engaging. The formations are solid, well-lit so you can actually see the details. Walkways are in good condition, easy to navigate. At the end, there's an optional boat ride out of the cave for an additional 20 Lari. I took it and enjoyed it—nice way to finish the tour rather than just walking back out. Tour moves at a reasonable pace. Not rushed, but doesn't drag either. Good value for what you get. Would recommend.
Jun S — Google review
Prometheus Cave is a stunning natural site. The walk through the cave takes you past incredible rock formations, all beautifully lit and well-maintained. The inside is cool and refreshing, especially in the summer. If you get cold easily, a light jacket is a good idea. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes — the walk is long but enjoyable. At the end of the cave, there’s a short boat ride that adds a fun touch, although it doesn’t last more than a few minutes. After exiting, you’ll find a small supermarket for refreshments, and a shuttle bus takes you back to the main entrance. There, you can enjoy traditional food or shop for small souvenirs. As for the guided tour, it felt a bit rushed. We didn’t get much time to pause for photos unless we were okay falling behind. The guide spoke English, but it was hard to follow due to the fast pace and overlapping noise from other groups. A slower delivery or separate tours by language would improve the experience and help everyone enjoy the cave more fully. We used the Maxim app for transportation — it was cheaper and quicker than Bolt in this area. Overall, it’s a must-visit in the Kutaisi region, but the tour style could be improved.
Abdurrahman — Google review
The Prometheus Caves in Georgia are a breathtaking natural wonder that invite visitors into a world sculpted by time. Located near Kutaisi, these limestone caves are filled with stunning stalactites, stalagmites, underground rivers, and shimmering lakes that create an almost otherworldly atmosphere. Colorful lighting carefully illuminates the pathways, highlighting the intricate rock formations and amplifying their natural beauty without diminishing their authenticity. The guided tours offer fascinating insights into the cave’s geology and its discovery, making the experience both educational and awe-inspiring. For those seeking a touch of adventure, the underground boat ride through the final stretch of the cave adds a magical sense of exploration. The Prometheus Caves remind every visitor of nature’s artistry and the quiet grandeur hidden beneath the earth’s surface.
Darwin D — Google review
This place could have been incredible, but we expected a bit more. The cave itself is breathtaking, yet the guide rushed through it, played the same music on repeat while watching videos on her phone (???), and gave minimal commentary that only repeated the information boards. The boat ride lasted maybe two minutes and was so fast you barely had time to take in the cave or the light installations. With some investment in the surrounding facilities and proper training for guides, this site could easily attract large numbers of tourists because it is worth it.
Eva — Google review
The caves are a natural wonder. The different formations underground are mesmerizing and it's a 1.4km walk on a cemented track once underground. The track is a bit wet so be sure to wear proper comfortable shoes that are tough to get wet. There are no exists midway and the tour takes about an bit over an hour to complete. There are 6 main halls with each having its own significance.
Osayed R — Google review
Guided tour through cave at a very nice pace. Optional boat ride at end must be paid in advance. At end of cave a small bus takes you back to the parking lot

My mother told me that it is a beautiful place…. Well only Russian tourists are able to see it. What a shame….
Nani R — Google review
In ancient times there was a valley and a river at the site of the modern lake. A girl named Ritsa lived there with three brothers Agepsta, Atsetuka and Pshegishkha. Ritsa used to pasture her animals in the valley and her brothers hunted in the high mountains by day and returned to the valley in the evening, where they ate, sang songs, and admired their sister. Once the brothers went too far into the mountains. Ritsa missed them and sang. The forest robbers Gega and Iupshara heard her and decided to kidnap her. Iupshara caught her and rode down the valley, while Gega covered his flank. Ritsa's brothers heard her crying and came to the rescue. Pshegishkha threw a sword at the robbers, but he missed and the sword flew over the river. The valley was filled with water and turned into a lake. Ritsa broke from Iupshara's grip, but fell into the lake. The brothers couldn't save her. Then Pshegishkha threw the robber Iupshara into the lake, but Ritsa's water wouldn't accept him and threw out him over Pshegishkha's sword and the water carried him away to the sea. Gega ran after Iupshara, but he didn't manage to rescue him. Out of grief, the brothers turned into mountains, and today they are still standing here to protect the resting-place of Ritsa.

A place that a tourist should visit in Abkhazia. If you love geology and discover how the nature can surprise you, this is the right place. The tour lasts around 40/45 minutes. Remember to bring a jacket because also in summer the temperature is around 10°/12°

Batumi Botanical Garden, established in 1912, is a vast expanse of greenery that offers guided tours showcasing its diverse subtropical plant collections. With over 5,000 varieties of flora from around the globe, it boasts an impressive array of Asian trees, South American flowers, bamboo forests, evergreen gardens and titanium trees. Nestled within the beautiful Mtsvane Kontskhi area, visitors can bask in the sun or take a refreshing swim.
It's a beautiful garden. It's better to go early in the morning. It will be harder to leave. You can walk for hours and admire the beauty of Japanese trees. There are a lot of people and Arabs. Only 1 cafe with huge prices. Take food with you. There is an exit to the beach. The beach is great but there are no changing rooms and toilets. The toilets in the garden are terrible.
Artem P — Google review
Incredible botanical garden. You could spend an afternoon exploring it. Well worth the time and money. Well kept, clean, and beautiful. Very large. Expect to use the bus service within the park. There is also a fee to enter the park and a separate fee for the bus service within the park. Costs more for foreigners, of course (one of the worst parts of Georgia is the foreigner fee in so many places).
Tom G — Google review
A wonderful place to walk in the lap of nature. Tickets are priced at 20 GEL, which is a little steep. And if you need an electric vehicle inside, you'll have to end up paying even more. Plenty of photo spots along with some great views of the Black Sea. There's also an amazing zipline for those seeking a little adrenaline rush, but again it's a little pricey at 70 GEL. Be prepared to walk a lot, so wear comfortable shoes.
Puneet B — Google review
We visited the garden in October. The view is very beautiful and the air is fresh with green and flowers smell. We went by bus 10. It is hard to go through all the garden as it has different elevations which make it difficult. Also, there are electrical cars too.
Ghada E — Google review
Amazing park with beautiful sea views♥️ There is an electrical bus that can take you one way through the park with an extra fee of 10 gel, takes like 15 minutes ride Pay attention that most of the park has uphill paths, we are with a baby stroller so it was a bit challenging so we took the bus and then it was nice
עדן פ — Google review
It was so beautiful that I enjoyed all of the moments there. I spent 4 hours day. Definitely it’s better to go from morning to. All of the view were breathtaking. The weather was also nice.
Bahare M — Google review
A stunningly beautiful botanic garden with collections of plants and trees from all over the world. With views along the coastline, rolling hills covered in lush vegetation and plenty of places to sit and relax in the shade, it's the perfect place to get away from the bustle of the beaches.
Simon T — Google review
Honestly, I’m not a garden person, I usually prefer adventure and thrill over long walks and greenery. Most tour guides in Batumi don’t include the Botanical Garden, but we decided to visit anyway… and I’m glad we did! Yes, there’s a lot of walking (be ready for it!), but once you reach the top, the views are absolutely worth it — stunning landscapes and a gorgeous view of the Black Sea. 🌊🌿 My main reason for visiting, though, was the zipline....and oh my god, it was amazing! Totally thrilling, 70 Lari, and worth every step it takes to get there. You’ll feel like you’re flying over nature. So if you’re into adrenaline or just want some jaw-dropping scenery, this spot is a must. I went there just for the zipline, but ended up appreciating the whole place.

It is the perfect place to stroll at any time of day, whether for walking, running, or renting a bike. It's clearly a meeting point for locals and tourists, always full of life. A gem of a museum! Has deservedly won the European Museum of the Year Award some years back. Just after you enter the main building is a description of the 11 sections of the museum and the layout of the sections. Then at the beginning of each section is a brief history of what is exhibited and the most important things to see. It made the viewing very enjoyable and interesting. And the exhibits - wow!! Such a great collection. It was definitely one of the best museums I’ve visited!!

Well done museum. Displays are well lit and easy to see, even in a crowd. They have sculptures and pieces of life from thousands of years BC.
Debbie E — Google review
This is one of the most important Museum about Anatolic antique culture and Art. It is a great journey into the ancient art from Paleolitic period with divine feminine little sculptures (paleolitic venus), mural paintings and graffiti, decorated & zoomorphic vases, the fascinating Grave Sun Disk Ornament and primitive utensils till 1.000 BC. But nonetheless, there’a central rooms with decorared walls from ancient temples and cities. A must-see place, expecially if you are not going to travel through the region to visit ancient ruins spread all over former Anatolia. The location of the Museum is also a nice quiet place within a nice little park and close to a typical turkish market descending back to the big avenues. The Museum has designed also some space dedicated to rest and have some talks when finished the tour. Finally, as a restored old marketplace, the building in itself is a pleasant spot in the caotic architectural melting pot of the capitol.

Anıtkabir in Ankara is a grand mausoleum and museum dedicated to Kemal Ataturk, the founding father and first president of the Republic of Turkey. It also serves as the final resting place for Ismet Inonu, Turkey's second president. The site features a marble hall, turrets, murals, and art galleries. The Ataturk Museum within Anıtkabir displays his personal items, medals, wardrobe, and gifts received during his lifetime.
I love the experience most especially the changing of the guards. It is a much awaited and MUST see! The museum is very well kept. The arts are really amazing! I just wish that people really adhere to not smoking in the area. Overall, it was a great experience.

Amazing place especially the informative museum. Security is tight and can take a while to clear. Our guide told us dslr cameras 📷 are not allowed in. However, on entry we noticed a number of people with them. At exit, asked the Security about this, and he advised that as long the camera and lens don't appear large, it's permitted. Not advisable to take more than one lens, so take a zoom type. Also be prepared for large crowds especially at weekends. Changing of guard is worth watching 👀. It happens every hour at quarter past hour.

The day we were there was very busy due to national student holidays, that's why the main hall was very crowded and approaching the tomb took a long time. Was surprised to see how well the old cars were maintained for exhibition. Smoking is prohibited on the whole area, watching the soldiers marching in the yard was interesting too.

A must visit in Ankara. It's free to enter, there is just an extensive security check at the entrance. They have an exhibition of Atuturks personal belongings as well (clothes, swords, medals, pipes, tea sets etc.) and an area displaying scenes from the war of independence. So it's also like visiting a museum. They have a small cafe too.

🇹🇷 Ankara — Atatürk Memorial (Anıtkabir) Visited the majestic Atatürk Memorial in Ankara — the final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the visionary founder of modern Turkey. The monument’s grand architecture reflects both ancient Anatolian and modern influences, symbolizing unity and progress. Standing before his tomb, I could feel the deep respect and pride the Turkish people hold for their leader. The Changing of the Guards ceremony was particularly moving — precise, solemn, and dignified — a timeless tribute to the Father of the Nation. 🇹🇷 #AtaturkMemorial #anitkabir #Ankara #ChangingOfTheGuards

A huge and truly beautiful place, easy to reach. I was very impressed by the moment when the Turkish national anthem starts and everyone stops to show respect. If you happen to be in Ankara, I definitely recommend visiting Anıtkabir

The complex consists of various structures and monuments, including the Sarcophagus of Ismet Inonu and Atatürk & The War of Independence Museum. We went there during The National Teachers Day.

I just love this lake, anyone who comes to Bolu should visit and enjoy this beauty ♥️ We visited it almost everyday during our stay and enjoyed it every time differently Once at sunset, another time during the morning with some fog and so on it keeps changing and giving you another side of it's beauty The place is full of benches for picnics and also a walking path around the lake, and the trees there are just magnificently tall big and just magical ✨

Sazova Science, Art and Culture Park, also known as Sazova Park, is a popular attraction in Eskisehir, Turkey. It offers a variety of activities for families including play areas, a pirate ship and a fairy-tale castle overlooking a boating lake. The park also features an academic center with wax models of scientists who contributed to various fields.
Loved the park. The entrance is free for the park. However, the different attractions (castle, pirate ship, zoo, etc.) have a separate fee. But it isn't a lot. Kids loved exploring on foot and enjoyed the train ride as well. The play areas with slides and see-saws are nice. The whole park is extremely clean and well kept. The castle was nice but did not have a word of English in it which made it difficult to understand what the cultural pieces/drawings were about. However, it did not take away from the beauty of it. Overall, we had a great time and were there till it was about to close.

A Magical Place for All Ages – Sazova Park is a Must-Visit! Our visit to Sazova Science, Culture, and Art Park (Sazofa) was absolutely unforgettable! The park is incredibly well-designed, offering a perfect blend of nature, education, and entertainment. Whether you're with kids, friends, or just exploring on your own, there’s something special for everyone. We loved walking around the peaceful green spaces and were amazed by the beautiful Fairy Tale Castle, which looked like it came straight out of a storybook. The pirate ship, mini zoo, aquarium, and planetarium were big hits with the kids, while we enjoyed the calm and beauty of the Japanese Garden. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were polite and helpful. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this park a place of joy and learning. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Eskişehir — it’s a place where imagination and culture come together beautifully!
Wael S — Google review
It was a nice park to take pictures in and had several cafes for people to rest, I could not get in the castle but I don't think they have a lot of fun in there anyways, it did not allow picnicing of any kind which made the experience less fun because what's the point in sitting by the pond if I am not going to be eating some homemade sandwiches by it, right. Other than that, it was free and the weather was good, so I liked the place but can't say I loved it. You can go there just to see the castle and get some pictures.
Esra N — Google review
A nice place to take young kids to enjoy. It is more like a miniature version of Disneyland, but nothing like Disneyland. The surrounding and outside of the building is beautifully designed but nothing much to see inside the castle. The mannequins inside the castle are a disaster, i wonder how they even got approved to be kept there. The 5 star is for just the view and park outside

Wide, beautiful, green place with multiple coffee shops on the site, I was expecting more things to do and more places to visit other than the castle that was mostly restriced which was a bummer, and the pirate ship which was very nice and well made

You can reach to Sazova park by bus or tram. If you go by bus then take bus 11 from Odunpazari which goes to Sazova park directly. There is a bus stop in front of the park. If you travel by Tram, the last station is Osmangazi University. From there, you have to walk for 20 minutes to reach the park. The park is just right side of the university. The park is free for everyone. The park has following amenities- Sazova Castle, Lake, Ship Museum, Natural views, Water Aquarium and Science Museum.

Медина Н — Google review
The Ulu Cami Mosque is an absolute must-see! If you visit Bursa, this magnificent mosque should definitely be on your list. It was commissioned by Sultan Bayezid I after his victory at the Battle of Nicopolis in 1396 and completed around 1399. The mosque was designed by the famous architect Ali Neccar, and it stands as one of the finest examples of early Ottoman architecture. Built in the Seljuk multi-dome style, it features 20 domes supported by massive pillars, a design that symbolically reflects the Sultan’s vow to build twenty mosques, which he instead fulfilled by constructing one grand mosque with twenty domes. As its name suggests, the “Great Mosque” is truly majestic, richly decorated with intricate calligraphy, geometric motifs, and a central fountain used for ablution. Ulu Cami marks an important transition between the Seljuk and classical Ottoman styles, blending simplicity, symmetry, and spiritual harmony.

Termessos Ruins, located atop Güllük Mountain within the Mount Gulluk-Termessos National Park, offer a captivating experience for history enthusiasts and nature lovers. Accessible via hiking trails, this well-preserved Pisidian city sits over 1,000 feet above sea level and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The site features ancient ruins including a theater, tombs, baths, schools, and churches.
Fantastic place. A must see in Antalya. Entrance is about $2 per person. The entire path from the parking lot to the amphitheater is 3.5 km. The path to the amphitheater is constantly uphill and over rocks. It is difficult, but definitely worth it. Wear comfortable non-slip shoes.
DaVinciFX G — Google review
The place is in ruins, you will be walking through a jungle forest with large stones and pieces of column all around you. Occasionally, you’ll see a wall or an arch. There are a few exceptions to this, the most notable being the theater, which is in remarkably great shape given how the rest of the city fared, and the small temple of Artemis (not the one near the parking lot). The setting is amazing, once you get up to the higher levels, you can see that you’re sitting in a straddle of a few shorter peaks with great views down two large valleys. Bring hiking shoes, the town is about a Moderately steep hike up from the parking lot. It took me about 3 1/2 hours round-trip and I got to see most of what I wanted but not everything. I walked about 9000 steps and climbed 51 floors. So it’s not like many sites where you pull up to the parking lot walk a kilometer and see just about everything.
Trey C — Google review
The theater place at the border of a cliff worth the trip alone. Small hike from the parking, around 20min. Correct shoes needed and water.
Thomas L — Google review
Amazing place. Like Indiana Jones discovery. Fully natural with no manmade artifacts. One of the best ruins I have seen anywhere in Europe. It's a uphill ride from the entry gates which is about 5 km below. Then from the car park it's a 30 minutes walk up. Of this the first 10 minutes is tiring but after that it's all very exciting. A must visit.
Arun P — Google review
Best ruins I've ever been to. Go and hike up to the theatre. Whole place is stunning.

Don’t visit the site, if you have an army like Alexander the Great did. He returned and went away from this eagle cradle. Otherwise with peacefull concerns Termessos calls you for a great experience in both, in history and in nature!

Must visit. But be prepared and take some water and snacks. Make sure to read about the place before you go as there is little to no info anywhere on the site.
Asya P — Google review
My lord this place was like no other ancient city I've visited in Turkey so far and I've been to more than 10+ now! There was so much still there lying as rubble on the floor, especially on what was the main street in the city, and it looks as though it has remained untouched for centuries since it was destroyed by earthquakes. But the piece de resistance was the largely intact remains of the theatre in the mountains, really magical and ethereal! Loved this place!

Lake Salda, located in Western Turkey, is a stunning natural wonder that offers breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. The lake's crystal-clear blue waters are surrounded by picturesque mountains, creating an idyllic setting for relaxation and nature appreciation. Visitors can also explore the nearby Lavender plantations and indulge in photography sessions to capture the beauty of the surroundings. Known for its healing minerals believed to benefit skin diseases, Lake Salda provides an opportunity for picnics and camping amidst its pristine environment.
One of the most beautiful place we have ever been. I hope that people keep it here clean and tidy as it is. The transportation is easy by car, just don’t park middle of the road, otherwise you will get a ticket, find a proper place. Take your trash with you. Swimming is not recommended and I think it shouldn’t be allowed to. Make sure you go there with slippers, and be prepared to be drawn by the mud.
R. B — Google review
We drove from Antalya to Salda Lake, and the drive was smooth and easy, with clear roads. The lake itself is visible from a distance, but the main tourist area is a bit further inside. Positives: •Great for Photography: The lake offers stunning views that are perfect for photography enthusiasts. •Fresh Air: The surroundings are refreshing, providing a great escape into nature. •Beautiful Views: The lake’s unique turquoise waters make for an amazing sight. Improvement: •Cleanliness of Shoreline: While the lake is beautiful overall, the shore could be cleaner. Extra Note: Be cautious of honey bees in the area. One seemed especially interested in my wife, leaving her with a memorable sting! A picturesque spot with minor drawbacks, Salda Lake is worth visiting for nature lovers and photographers.

I thought it was underwhelming but my wife thought it was great. It was on the way to Pamukkale from Sagalassos so worth a short detour. We just waded in, but some people were swimming. I can't say I noticed any special healing powers ;)

Beautiful tranquil lake. Not crowded when I visited in an October afternoon.
Albert W — Google review
We were pretty hyped about coming here after reading it. The lake is a unique experience, but was not exactly what we thought. We went to a campground on the NW side of the lake and there was a sign saying "Prohibited entry to lake" with no exploration as to why. We didn't know if it was due to no lifeguard or because of something harmful in the water. We continued to drive around to the east side where there is a restaurant. We ate there (better food than expected) and they said we could get in the lake, which the kids did. All in all it's a neat experience, but we didn't see anything around the lake that actually talked about the significance of it. And there wasn't a single dock; we didn't see any boats, canoes, etc.
Noah V — Google review
What an amazing nature and beauty about this place which is unbelievable, lake is super huge and we went from one corner to another even the village is so beautiful while going to Salda Lake. A must place to visit and also there restaurants and coffee shops around some key spots with restroom facilities.

Salda Lake, often dubbed the "Turkish Maldives," is a breathtaking natural wonder with its striking turquoise waters and white sandy shores. The lake's unique beauty is a testament to the delicate balance of nature, created by the rare hydromagnesite minerals that form its shores. While its serene atmosphere and picturesque landscape make it a must-visit destination, it's crucial that we approach this fragile ecosystem with care. With increasing tourism, the need for responsible travel and strong conservation efforts is more important than ever to preserve this pristine paradise for future generations. Inst: @uyuyangezgin

An amazing place to visit near Pamukkele. It is most famous for the vast layers of travertine formed from sediments of minerals from hot spring water flowing through the hills. The views are fantastic, other worldly. You are allowed to walk on a section of travertines, but only with bare feet. Watch out, it can be slippery. It was used as a spa as early as 2nd century BCE. A city was formed around it and many people who came there never left leaving behind a necropolis.

Great day out, very pretty and amazing sight. The salt was a bit hard on your feet at times as you can't wear shoes until you get to the top. It was nice to paddle in the pools.
Annmarie S — Google review
We enjoyed ourselves and it was very informative. The ruins are cool especially the reconstructions but also just lots of columns and carving laying about. The museum was also very good. It was hot but there are numerous fountains and shady benches and picnic tables, cafe prices are relatively reasonable considering.
Robert Q — Google review
Beautiful site, but frustrating experience Hierapolis is stunning, with incredible ancient ruins and breathtaking views. However, the visitor experience could be much better. They charge $10 for Bluetooth headphones, but you can’t even use them during the tour, which feels misleading. While the history and scenery are worth seeing, the management of tours and extra charges leaves a lot to be desired.
Nafiz I — Google review
If you love going back in time to see how the ancient people lived, then this is a must see place. The amphitheater is mind blowing and breathe taking. This was a city that had Roman influence and the artifacts and carving were mind boggling.

Completely bad ass. Mega old city up on a hill. The tomb of Philip the Apostle, BTW it's empty. Calcium pools at sunrise, i cut my foot in there. Balloons at sunrise...way cool. Oh and the Gates of Hell. You can't go in there because, yep, you'll die. WOO HOO!!!
Mark S — Google review
It's a quiet good place but to much people and looks kinda artificial. Not enough water and it could be very hot in a sunny day. And in the entrance they try to scam you. They'll give you 30 euro tickets then will charge like 40 euros and won't even ask if you wanna pay or not I just realized it because I was paying for few people and the money it deducted was like insane then I asked them why have I been charged extra they said that they gave me a headphone that I never asked for then somehow I managed to return the head phone and get refunded but I bet 90% of people who are paying by a card won't even notice

Nice place to see some history, be prepared to walk and get lots of sun. Has some cafes for food and drink Be aware that if you want to walk down you need to go barefoot. The Travertines of Pamukkale are a must-see natural wonder in Turkey. These stunning thermal pools, formed after earthquakes, are surrounded by white limestone and offer a breathtaking view with rolling hills and ancient ruins in the background. Accessible through rough rocks, the lukewarm water is clean and clear, perfect for wading around. Visitors can take a dip in Cleopatra's pool and capture memorable moments with photographers available on-site.
We were so nearly put off by the bad google reviews of people expecting a paradise of blue water everywhere! But in reality, this place is so beautiful and has so much history. It is worth going for the amphitheater alone and the travertines is a bonus! We recommend visiting the South Gate at 6.30am to see this amazing place without other tourists. There are also hot air balloons that fly at 6am and it is stunning to watch them! An absolute must do!
William C — Google review
We were attending this attraction on Saturday, 11 o'clock. It took us 3.5 hours to get there from Fethiye so we couldn't make it earlier and we were ready to see many people inside , even though it wasn't high season anymore. You make a big circle on the car to get to the official parking lot, pay 120 tl for parking and then get through the gates. In October 2025 1 ticket costs 30 Euro and you pay in liras. Then you start your journey using a golf car or walking The territory is huge. At first, you walk through the ancient city and it takes you around 20 minutes to get to the travertines. There are not many people around, they are all chilling at the pools. There's a beautiful garden and mountains around your way, many benches and tables for the picnic which is really nice. You can also visit the museum and the ancient theatre. The travertines are very beautiful in the sunlight. Not all of them are filled with water but you can still take great pictures Some people get deep down so they are alone in the bigger area, all of the tourists are concentrated on top of the pools. You need to take of the shoes to get there, the stones can be slippery but the water is pretty warm. The views around are breathtaking! You can also enjoy your time at the cafes right next to the travertines and get some snacks. So I'd say it was worth visiting once in the life time (in the sunny weather and preferably earlier on the weekday) however the entrance fee is very high and I'm not sure it's equivalent to the experience you get

Pamukkale is impressive from the first step. The snow-white terraces and azure pools look almost unreal, like a natural chalk castle. Hiking trails allow you to get close to the cascades; the water is warm and pleasantly tickles your feet. There are many tourists, so peaceful photos are rare-arrive early in the morning or late in the evening. There's an entrance fee, and some terraces are closed for conservation, but the overall view is breathtaking. Nearby Hierapolis boasts a well-preserved Roman amphitheater it's worth a visit. Bring comfortable shoes, a swimsuit, and water; don't leave litter and respect the securit rules. I highly recommend it it's one of those places that's easier to experience than to describe.
P — Google review
It is an amazing natural formation by accumulating minerals from the flowing hot spring water. There is a dedicated section where tourists can experience travertine and hot spring water under their feet. It is required to enter the travertine area without shoes and socks. There is a self serve cafeteria. There are always a huge number of tourists visiting it. Considering that there is an entry fee, the authority could increase the number of WC facilities.
Dipak O — Google review
A magical place for me! The real experience of walking barefoot (like most) or with some bathing shoes in this white marvel is bar none. Even though there is a lot of water, I found the surfaces to be not slippery at all. You can spend a few hours just running around the hill. Enterprise of €30 is a bit steep.
Oliviu G — Google review
We entered through the South Gate, which is the closest entrance to the travertines. If you’re visiting with children, elderly people, or anyone with walking difficulties, it’s better to take a buggy car — tickets for it are available right after the ticket check. The amphitheatre is a bit uphill, but worth the short climb. Many of the travertine pools had water during our visit, and all the main attractions — the travertines, ancient amphitheatre, Cleopatra Pool, and other monuments — are located within the same area. Unfortunately, the Cleopatra Pool was closed for renovation when we visited. Please note that the entry gate opens only at 8 a.m. We arrived at 6:30 a.m. but were told that even the parking area gates would open only at 8 a.m. We still got to enjoy watching the hot air balloons take off around 6:30 a.m. from outside the gate, which was a beautiful experience.
Jayashankar B — Google review
Very beautiful place. Very interesting. It is better to come with short clothes or a swimsuit. It's just a shame that it's so expensive for tourists. For tourists 30 euros and for Turks 4 euros. At the checkout they are trying to sell headphones For 10 euros. That they don't need them at all.
Dovile — Google review
It’s definitely an attraction worth visiting, but I don’t feel the €30 entrance fee is justified. The place is rich in history and the audio guide shares fascinating stories from the past, making it a wonderful site to learn from. Still, the price feels a bit too high. I hope the government could consider lowering the entrance fee or at least offering discounted rates for groups. The colors give the impression of being painted, and uncovering the history behind them makes the experience truly engaging.

Kekova Island is one of those rare places where history and nature exist side by side, quietly and beautifully. As you glide across the turquoise waters by boat, the first thing that strikes you is the clarity of the sea — so transparent that you can almost touch the ancient ruins submerged just beneath the surface. It’s a surreal, almost dreamlike sight. The sunken city, with its stone walls, staircases, and ancient foundations, silently tells stories of life, trade, and time lost to earthquakes centuries ago. There’s no glass or barrier between you and this past — just water, light, and imagination. It’s both humbling and awe-inspiring. What makes Kekova special isn’t just the ruins, though. It’s the serenity. There are no crowds, no overbuilt developments — only untouched coves, the hum of the sea, and the occasional sound of a passing boat. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, swim in history, and simply be. For anyone exploring the southern coast of Turkey, Kekova isn’t just worth visiting — it’s a moment of stillness and wonder you’ll carry with you long after you’ve left.

I recommend a boat cruise with the option of swimming. Beautiful views, azure waters. The town is nothing but ruins—foundations and a few walls. Nearby is a quaint little port town with a castle. And 20 kilometers away, the picturesque port town of Ka$ is a must-see for food and shopping.

Don’t do a day tour here especially if you are staying at Antalya area. You are only given 20 mins time to swim.. but it takes about more than 4 hours to get here by tour bus. Beautiful place but the swimming experience was too poor due to the limited time given by my tour provider. If i gonna visit next time, I will just rent a car…

Nice ‘Day ly’ trip/tour by boat, just drive to the location there is car park, hotel must experience the Boat-Tour😀enjoy

Excellent boat charters abound to the island of Kekova and surrounding sites. Not to be missed is the mysterious sunken city ruins. Only accessible by boat, the water is calm and beautifully clear so it is easy to see the sunken walls and structures that have long since been swallowed by the sea. Swimming is forbidden in the area, so you will have to be content to gaze upon the ruins from the comfort of your chosen boat or kayak. Definitely one of the top activities while visiting Kaş.

Nice island, very simple village caffès for ice cream and coffe. Nice little hotels, I recommend to stay there because atmosphere in the evenings are magic.

We took a boat tour around here with a small group and also stopped to swim. It was totally worth it and swimming was very refreshing on a hot day. The views are amazing and there's a lot of ruins of the sunken city.

Saklikent National Park is home to one of the world's deepest canyons, with depths reaching up to 300 meters. Visitors can embark on a picturesque walk through the canyon to reach a stunning waterfall. While the water may be initially cold, it gradually warms up and provides a refreshing experience, especially on hot days.
Amazing stunning canyon. One of the best hikes i have ever done in my life. Water is crystal clear and you can see it come up from the underground springs, some sections the water is almost a neon blue colour. The canyon is very tall and super grand. There are a few pools in the canyon with water knee deep which require you to trek though the water. You also need to climb waterfalls which are very fun and walk through caves. Water is freezing cold at the start of the trail which is refreshing on a hot day. Highly recommend if you are in the province.

The gorge was amazing and a decent challenge to make it to the end. The water is very cold at first but refreshing. Make sure your footwear is suitable for both water and climbing rocks. The views are amazing. We did the rafting and mud bath which was definitely worth it. The restaurants by the water are over priced but the views are great.

It's beautiful. For the ones that appreciate the nature I'm sure u'll love it here. I'll let my pictures speak for itself. The only thing I want to warn you, or give an advice, come early in the morning. We arrived at 9.30am and we did the "hike" (more like a walk) through the canyon within 2 hrs time. On the way back I couldn't believe how crowded the place has got. Crazy. And it was a weekday - Friday. So yes, definitely worth seeing. Also there are nice places u can eat, beautiful surroundings, it felt very refreshing :) and please make sure u bring water shoes, we rented shoes there for 100 Turkish lira per person.
Erika G — Google review
The walk in the gorge was very short because of the rain the day before. There are some very cosy, hippy like terraces. You will have to wear a helmet. Be aware that you must cross the river at the start, bring water shoes! After that, the path is easy and dry.
ASTRID M — Google review
Very cold water in this amazing canyon. Especially in the hot summer a cool place to go. You can also walk way up into the canyon for a long walk. Entrance fee is 65 tl. Parking is 200 tl.
Janet B — Google review
This was a crackingly good day out and an excellent place to beat the heat. The water is icy cool and super refreshing and there are benches and tables in ankle high water so you can cool off while you eat. There is ziplining and rafting available (costs extra, about 500 lira each person/activity (£10)) in addition to the gorge itself, which is rather stunning and offers plenty of great photo opportunities. If you want to see everything, you will need to get wet, to at least knee high, so take some water shoes (I saw lots of lost sandals floating away) and beware that small children may need to be carried through some of the deeper or faster moving sections of the stream.
Nathan K — Google review
Don‘t go with a tour. Just take a local bus! Entry is 65. Watershoes to buy 200. Tours just go to the beginning of the gorge, you will miss incredible landscapes! Took me around 90 minutes inside. After 45 minutes there is a high waterfall, you can climb from inside the rocks if you feel confident. After that you can probably continue a while.
Flo X — Google review
The natural beauty here was incredible. A few things will help you enjoy yourself: the water is FREEZING. I visited in September, it was a warm day, but the water remains absolutely ice cold. The rocks are pretty painful on bare feet, so water shoes would be good - but because of the current, flip flops were a bad choice. Your feet go numb really fast, and it's hard to keep the flip flops from falling off and floating away. We definitely saw multiple people slip and fall in, so having a dry bag for your things would be good. There are places to get food, ice cream, and souvenirs. It's cash only, and we did have to pay to park. The scale of the gorge is really hard to document, but it was incredible.

Nestled at the base of a striking mountain gorge, this tiny beach offers clear blue waters and is accessible via a narrow stairway with around 300 steps. Nearby, there are several other beautiful beaches such as Patara Beach, which is part of a national park and known for its 12-kilometer stretch of sand and turtle sightings.
I’ve traveled to many coastal towns, but the sea in Kaş is by far the most stunning. Crystal-clear water, breathtaking views, and a feeling of pure serenity — it’s a destination that I’ll always recommend!! It’s like a painting come to life — turquoise, deep blue, and sparkling under the sunlight. It feels untouched and natural, making it one of the most magical experiences I’ve had traveling 🥹🫶🏾🫶🏾

Such a gorgeous beach! We were here by the end of September, 2025. Current prices are 50tl for access; umbrellas and sunbeds for 250tl. There’s a sign that says no food or drink from outside but we brought our own and so did so many other people and no one said anything or even checked our bags. We couldn’t rent sunbeds as the beach was full by time we arrived (12noon), but we threw our beach towels and it was fine! To my surprise, the water wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be, so it was perfect! Totally recommend to arrive by public bus (dolmus) to avoid the parking hassle. Bus ticket is currently 75tl and runs every 30min. If you come from Kas, you can hop on at the bus station downtown. It stops right outside the main entrance both ways! Here’s the updated schedule.

Great beach, we went at 10h30 in the morning , it was okay but 2 hours later it became crowded so we left at 13h , entrance is 50 lira , sunshade 230l , it quickly gets deep so you should be a good swimmer
Donia S — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in Kaş, but services aren’t great and prices are high (almost like a beach club). The café was poor for the price. Stairs up are a bit painful, down is easier than reviews suggest. The sea gets very wavy—check the wind before you go and avoid windy days if you want to swim.
Ceren G — Google review
One of turkiye's most beautiful beaches with magical turquoise water. You have to descend several steps to get there. There are douches and changing rooms. The entrance fee is 50 tl.

Kaputas Beach, located between Kas and Kalkan, is an absolute must-visit if you’re exploring this part of Turkey! The beach is famous for its stunning turquoise water and jaw-dropping view from above—you’ll want to snap a hundred photos before you even head down. If you’ve never been here before, put it at the very top of your list. There’s everything you need for a perfect beach day: sunbeds, umbrellas, a café, plus you can always just bring your own towel and relax right on the sand. The beach is free to visit; you only pay a small entrance fee. One thing to know—Kaputas is super popular, so it gets really crowded, and parking can be a challenge. To get the best spot and enjoy a bit of peace, try to come really early in the morning or around sunset. It’s totally worth it!

Maybe in low season is worth a visit , in high season is disgustingly full, the place is nice but too crowded and you will find cigarette butts everywhere, there is a long staircase to get there . 50 liras per person the entry fee. Parking there is a mess and you risk someone parking and blocking your car .

Great beach, super large with plenty going on in the area. Water was turquoise and crystal clear! Super beautiful, we went in the beginning of may and it was extremely empty and pretty peaceful.

its a really cool place. but be prepared: it is very crowded, they will charge you multiple times for different things. The sun shades are a bit small, you need to adjust your sun-bed constantly (if you have space of course). it has a locker tho’ which is really handy, but didn’t worked for us, but the staff did a workaround to fix it for us. :) All together we had a blast at the bay, the water is very clear once you pass the shallow water. and if you up for exploring , you can climb the surrounding “mini island” rocks. i wouldn’t miss it!

Beautiful Beach. Love the scenery. It’s pebbly, but the pebbles are smooth. Water is crystal clear. Beach has washrooms. Entrance was 100TL per person. No stamp or receipt to leave and come back. Parking is extra. We had a scooter and just parked it outside the gate for free.

⭐️⭐️ Ölüdeniz has always been known as one of the most beautiful beaches in Türkiye, and I’ve visited many times over the years. The sea is stunningly crystal clear — but sadly that’s the only thing left I truly love about this place. Prices have gone through the roof, the beach itself isn’t very sandy, and the lack of security is a real problem. There are people walking around taking photos of women without proper control, and one man with a parrot goes around pushing photos on tourists. When I said no, he was extremely rude and even shouted at me because he didn’t understand my answer — which is not my problem. It left a very bad impression. For such a famous destination, it feels poorly managed and not welcoming anymore.

Dalyan Strait, also known as Dalyan Canal, is a picturesque waterway in the Mugla province of Turkey. The 10 km long canal connects Koycegiz Lake to the sea and meanders through the Dalyan Delta. Visitors can stroll along a wooden promenade on the eastern bank, where the town of Dalyan comes alive with a lively atmosphere.
Dalyan canal, (Dalyan Strait) , is a stream that carries the waters of Köyceğiz Lake to the sea , located in the province of Muğla , and is the lake's conduit . Its length is 10 km. The waters coming out of the lake reach the sea by drawing meanders. Approximately the last 5 km of Dalyan flows within the Dalyan Delta. To the east of the Dalyan canal, the town of Dalyan in the Ortaca district is established. The area is within the borders of the Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area , which was the first in Turkey in 1988.

Really nice, clean beach, the dolmus end is cheaper than the boat end. And the turtle hospital is in walking distance.

Very nice, spacious and clean sandy beach. Water is crystal clear and it's shallow for like 20 meters. The only downside was the parasols; they're rather small and don't have great coverage. However the beach is pretty cheap -100 TL for a couple of beds and a parasol - so it's definitely worth it.

Great beach with cafe , toilets, changing etc. entrance is 200TL for the car and 350TL for 2 sunbeds .
Matthew B — Google review
This is our first trip to İztuzu Beach by car, and the journey is quite long. The breathtaking views on the drive to the beach make it worthwhile. The parking lot costs ₺200, and payment is required upon entry. They also provide changing rooms and restrooms. There is a restaurant and tanning area where you can pay ₺165 per person or ₺350 for two wooden sun loungers, or choose a free one on the sand. The beach was extremely crowded. The only thing you have to do when you go swimming in the sea, all you have to do is walk far enough until the water is deep enough. İztuzu Beach is absolutely stunning; unfortunately, we did not get to see any turtles, but we had an enjoyable time. I recommend it purely for the experience.
Inga — Google review
İztuzu Plajı is one of the most beautiful and unique beaches in Turkey. The sand is golden, the water is shallow and warm, and the scenery is amazing with mountains on one side and the river delta on the other. What makes it special is that it’s also a protected nesting area for Caretta Caretta turtles, so it feels like you’re visiting both a beach and a natural reserve. There are no big hotels or loud music, which keeps it peaceful. Best to bring your own snacks and water, and respect the turtle areas. Truly a natural paradise!
Ali T — Google review
One of my favourite in Turkey. Perfectly clean, wise, and beautiful. Dalyan in general is a magic place for a vacation. You can get there by the boat, or by the bus service. It takes around 30 minutes, both ways are enjoyable though, views etc. A lot of empty space, if you walk a little far from the sun lounges. Sandy clean beach, warm clean sea, perfect
Шампан С — Google review
I liked this beach a lot. The fee is not that much (2€ per car, no matter how many people are inside it), there are public toilets and showers (with cold, salty water) and the beach is clean. The water doesn't get deep enough for swimming for more than 50meters which makes it ideally for kids. You can also visit the Turtle Hospital (which is located close to the entrance). There is also shadow under some pine trees, but if you arrive after 10am most probably you will find it already occupied. At times it gets very windy. The restaurant inside has reasonable prices.

The walkways are adorned with flower beds, fountains, and sculptures, while an array of bars, restaurants, and shops provide ample entertainment options.
A really beautiful marina, lovely to walk around by day (very hot of course) or by night. Lots of flashy yachts to admire and lots of restaurants and bars - more of a family vibe though rather than drunks teens which is nice. Highly recommend an evening stroll and a meal under the sky. Don't forget to stroll up to the impressive castle if you have a chance too.

Very nice well designed place with whatever a sailor can need such as warm water, every time clean big spaced toilets with hair dryer. Good shopping area with many cafes restaurants and sailing shops, a very close super market just next to marine, close to heart of Marmaris just a few minutes walk you are in castle historic area and bar streets.
Elgin K — Google review
It used to be very nice and friendly, in the last two years prices have become unreasonable. Let me explain: first of all is very noisy at night (both from night clubs but also fron other boats partying) but the worst thing is the high speed powerboats entering or leaving the marina. So once in while unexpected waves come out of the blue caused by tenders. Additionally the behavior of certain staff + the refusal to speak English is funny when working in tourism! There is a rule in marketing called "willingness to pay", i don't mind the higher cost BUT downgrading the quality of your services is serious.
Spyros — Google review
The marina is impeccably clean and well run, the town has everything you cod need to refit your boat with. Most of the mariners speak good English and are very helpful and the technical support is also readily available. It is also a very safe and secure marina with someone attentively patroling on a tender through the night .

Visitors can rent sun loungers and umbrellas for a fee and enjoy various water sports in the crystal-clear sea.
Really beautiful sandy beach. We were there mid November so it was really quiet with most of the beach bars and hotels shut. The place we stopped at for lunch on the beach was closing the next day so had a really limited menu, but it was a lovely beach.

Most people friendly and salt of the earth. Couldn’t do enough for you. Any time of the day or night, there would be shops open. Some phenomenal evenings, breakfasts and lunches at The Majestic by the beautiful flower lined and walkbridge connected Canal. Surprisingly though, prices were similar to Sydney, Aus. prices or a little cheaper. It wasn’t as cheap as I had expected for such a small town. Overall, my experience in Içmeler was fondly memorable! Worth the trip.

This 5-star hotel is in the seaside town of Rhodes and features a rooftop terrace with a pool and bar, as well as Italian dining. It also has a front desk, room service and currency exchange. There is also a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and bar, as well as shared lounge.
What a lovely hotel, first and most important is the amazing service. Everyone is so kind and helpful, one cannot ask for better. The rooms are comfortable and well looked after. The location is perfect, only thing is it can be a bit noisy at night from the club across the road but after the first night it didnt bother us. Thanks so much for being such great hosts!

Great new and super clean hotel, the staff is fantastic and welcoming and everyone that works the breakfast shift are just so welcoming. Only downside is that at times if your room is facing the front of the hotel the beach bar/club is noisy. They tend to shut down the music at 1 am onwards so choose different rooms if you want a more quiet experience.

More Meni City Beach Rhodes is a fine hotel. Our first and second choice hotels along this stretch of the east side of Elli Beach were fully booked for middle of September 2025. The location is great; comfortable walking distance to the old town; and the stretch of the sea in front of it appears a lot more protected than other parts which was choppy. The sea water was calm and clear with many small fishes which make for a pleasant swim. The room rate was much higher than what we expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. The loud music at night did not bother us too much as the room assigned to us did not face the beach club and bar. Date of Posting : 25 Sep 2025

Great experience as it was our first time in Rhodes and will keep this place in mind if we every return. The staff were fantastic especially Elenor (apologies if incorrect spelling). She went above and beyond for us whether it was giving us tips for local bars and restaurants, best breakfast items and asking if we needed anything. Its the little things like this to made our stay more special so thank you. They had a great rooftop bar are that had a great view of the Sea. I was surprised this bar wasn't utilised much by the other guests as there's not.many rooftop bars in Rhodea town with that view Overall, we would recommend the hotel and glad we choose here. Thank you to all the staff at CC

I was a little concerned that this would be a noisy hotel being based near the beach clubs. So I requested a quiet room which was at the back of the hotel and this was fine... I hardly noticed the beach clubs and had a very peaceful sleep. TBH this is rhodes so evenings are always full of entertainment and I've stayed in noisier "quiet" retreats. Rooms have great furnishing, loads of space and the air con is perfect. I thought they were fantastic and very clean. Breakfast is a la carte and cooked very well. A special mention about all of the staff. I dont think I've stayed in a friendlier hotel with every staff member being happy to help or say hello. It wasn't a case of asking for breakfast items.... more a case of declining as I was so full! All at breakfast were great! The roof top bar is great for some views and an evening drink. It's a city hotel so the pool is really a cool down pool rather than something you can swim in but you can chill out around it. So the bonus of being near the beach bars is.... you're near the beach bars! And it's located in a great spot for exploring the old and new town too. There are so many restaurants in a short stroll that we only ate once in the old town. Our 6 night stay flew by. Thanks for a great stay

Accommodations: - Delicious breakfast made to order every morning that includes almost anything and everything you could think of! Pancakes, Omelettes, Oatmeal, Yogurt, eggs, bacon, etc! - Outstanding rooftop pool and bar area that overlooks the beaches of Rhodes - You can order drinks and food at the rooftop pool or sit and lounge by the bar area - The most accommodating, helpful, and kind hotel staff I've ever met - They include a mini shaving cream, razor, q tips, and other small travel necessities you may need in your hotel room - They also have a paid laundry service where they send out your laundry and you get it within (roughly) two days (we did this and it was so nice to have clean + fresh clothes on vacation - def worth the money!)

First the positive: The hotel is modern and furnished with love. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast is a la carte and freshly prepared. There is a fixed selection of sweet and savory dishes and every day an additional choice. The rooftop terrace won us over the most, in September there was not so much going on so we had this to ourselves on some days. However, the pool is very low (90cm), if that bothers anyone, for us it was fine. You can park for free in front of the hotel, we always found a parking space. The location is very central and you can be in Rhodes town in a few minutes walk. The hotel is located in the second row on Elli beach. This is a bit confusing, because the pictures that some providers show on the Internet convey a direct beach location. However, this is a beach bar that does not belong to the hotel. The sun beds also belong to this beach bar and are relatively expensive (20-30 euros). The hotel itself therefore has no direct view of the beach and also no beach chairs. Another point is the already often mentioned beach bar across the street, which sometimes has loud music on until 3 o'clock in the morning. We had initially also thought that some vacationers exaggerate here, but we were convinced of the opposite. Who is really looking for peace and quiet, is definitely wrong here. The view of the tennis court is also not very nice. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay very much, but felt that the price paid was clearly too high for the hotel category.

Tuntas Beach Hotel Altinkum

Tuntas Beach Hotel Altinkum is a laid-back 3-star hotel located in Altinkum, Turkey. It's conveniently situated within walking distance of the beach and offers direct access to the beachfront. The hotel features 110 comfortable rooms, each with a balcony providing stunning sea views. Guests can enjoy amenities such as an outdoor pool, a restaurant, and a bar. Families will appreciate the kids' club and playground for children while couples can relax at the spa.
Would recommend and definitely would be happy to return there, located in a quiet area, at the end of the tourist strip, with easy access to main shopping area, off licence near by (not that we needed anything, as the all inclusive was pretty good) Beach right in front of hotel, so you can literally go from the hotel swimming pool to the beach in 10 steps. Only negative thing is swimming pool is very small, but who needs the swimming pool when you have the beach right in front! Sun beds are there free of charge. Hotel bar also right there so we can enjoy as many drinks as we like whilst at the beach or at the pool. Staff very friendly however majority had difficulty in speaking English but tried their best, also used their phones for translation. John at the reception was the only one that spoke fluent English and was extremely helpful, always going above and beyond with any request. The all inclusive was good, had a good selection of food, considering the price paid it was actually amazing. If you compare the prices of other hotels, this was a great price so I guess we need to be realistic and see how much we paid and it is 10000% worth it. Rooms were nice and clean, good size, everyday had housekeeping. When you first arrive and visit the strip near by you feel a bit disheartened as feels like there isn't much to do but if you ask the locals they will tell you there's a path that leads you right to the city centre where there's a massive shopping centre and a huge touristic strip, full of shops, pubs, restaurants, all that you need. Hope this review helps. For me it was definitely worth the money spent and I had a great holiday.

This hotel is classed as all inclusive. If you go please bring lots of money to eat out because the food is disgusting full of flies and cold and the same nearly every day I would not give it to a dog. The only good this is the beach is right outside. Don’t expect to get wifi in your room. Only accessible by the pool or the lobby and it is terrible. The bathroom sink leaking water all over the floor as well.

I come here every year. Just had my 4th holiday here. Amazing service as usual from all the staff, Roger Metin oruno furkhan ahmed bedir on the bar and all the boys in the restaurant. Lovely food, good variety, rooms lovely and cleaned every day, entertainment almost every night which was brilliant as always. And yes I’ll be back again next May, look forward to seeing it. Highly recommend my favourite hotel and resort.

Where do I start …The hotel is very basic ,we had no WiFi ,shower door and it was dirty and beds were like rocks. The food was disgusting barely edible and no staff members spoke English. There was no activities or entertainment. The only saving grace was the beach and weather even though people fight over sun-beds and if you didn’t want that needed to pay extra for them.Turkey is beautiful but don’t go near this hotel

We booked a room one month in advanced, for 3 people. When we arrived we were told that the reservation got mixed up and that we would stay at another hotel . They didn’t give our money back and refused to take any responsibility for their mistake . We got to the other hotel and it was much smaller and the rooms were tiny . The bathroom wasn’t even a proper bathroom. The only accommodation we got was that we could eat and use the pool at the other hotel but that was it .

Temple of Apollo

Ancient Ruins
The Temple of Apollo in Didim is a significant historical site, once home to an important oracle and a major center of worship for the ancient Greeks. The temple's impressive ruins showcase its former grandeur, with towering columns and bases that hint at its colossal size. Visitors can explore the site and immerse themselves in its rich history, imagining the craftsmanship and dedication that went into building it centuries ago.
The Temple of Apollo at Didyma (now in Turkey) was one of the largest and most influential oracular centers in the ancient Greek world. It is recognized as the second most important oracle, after the Temple of Apollo at Delphi (Greece). Both sites were sacred places, attracting thousands of people seeking prophecies from the god Apollo The sacred spring, as described in ancient oracular activities, no longer exists as a naturally flowing stream. What remains are the archaeological traces of where that sacred spring once was, and it's a crucial part of understanding the temple's operations. The temple was never completed. Now, whenever you visit the temple, you'll always find a few archaeologists from around the world conducting field investigations.
Thuong N — Google review
The site is closed indeed, as they are actively building a new entrance pavilion (I have seen no restoration being done on the site itself). Still you can get a good view from behind the fence and you can also walk around the temple behind the fence - there is a paved path, getting views from several angles - it still gives an unforgettable grandeur impression. The security cameras on the perimeter make sure nobody scales the fence. The temple is so massive it’s surprising it has suffered such severe damage, but apparently a powerful earthquake has destroyed it in 7th century A.D.

I visited the Temple of Apollo in early September on a weekday, and it was a great, with hardly any other tourists. The quiet made it easy to take in the atmosphere. We skipped the headphone guide since there are plenty of well-written boards around the site. You’re free to walk right up the temple steps and wander around at your own pace, which I loved. The inner sanctum, where the oracle once spoke, still carries a strong presence. The acoustics there are striking; even a soft voice carries. If you’re after an authentic ancient site that hasn’t been overrun by crowds, this is a place I’d highly recommend. It feels both accessible and special.

Beautiful ruins. Little tip... Admission is only 6 euros per person so save yourself some money and dont buy a tour. It a 12 minute walk off the No.4 bus route. The same bus will take you to the Mavisehir Market. The bus is 25 lira each which is a bargain but it can get very very crammed.

It is a very very great historical place and it is in quite good situation and well preserved… Definitely recommend to visit it… We visited the Temple of Apollo and it was really really great due to the fact first of all that the facade lightings were very lovely and second it was marvellous to run away from day heat so by the evening visit you really can enjoy the the site in a more different way because the evening hours provides more cooler temperature and on the other hand it has also less crowded environment…

The Temple of Apollo in Didim is an absolute gem! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by the awe-inspiring ruins. It wasn’t just a temple; it was home to one of the most famous oracles of the ancient Greek world, second only to Delphi. Pilgrims from across the Mediterranean traveled there to consult the oracle, making it a major spiritual and cultural hub. You should definitely visit this historical place.

Bodrum Castle

Museums
Bodrum Castle, also known as the Castle of St. Peter or Petronium, is a historic landmark in Bodrum overlooking the international port. Built in the 15th century by the Knights of Rhodes, it has served various purposes over time including a church and a mosque during the Ottoman Empire. Today, it houses a significant underwater archaeology museum and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016.
As with many castles this one was also rixh with history. We chose to explore on our own and found it to be a fantastic experience ( we really enjoy castles already and have seen many) but this one was fairly well preserved with many labels. It also includes a museum of a couple shipwrecks that have been partially re constructed which were truly fascinating. ( Ill say no to buying tickets in advance because it was simple to do with a Visa or Mastercard at the entrance otherwise you must use Turkish Lira currency)

This place is huge and beautiful kept. We spent nearly 3 hours combing through every detail and exhibit. The grounds, museum and setting inside the castle takes you back to life in the country so many years ago. Definitely visit if you are in the Bodrum area. Very less crowds also, so you can really spend some time by yourself. Also, the photos of the harbour from the castle walls will come out so good!
Nayan D — Google review
I wasn't expecting a great deal from the castle, so we saved it for a cloudy day, but I was wrong because it is a fascinating place. I forgive, a little, the Crusaders who in the early 15th Century stole stone from the already 2000 year old Mausoleum of Helicarnassus to refurbish and strengthen the existing ancient castle. But, in doing so, they created the historical and architectural heart of the Bodrum area. The local shipwrecks and their history just add an extra layer of interest and I defy any woman not to try on the golden crown of Artemesia. If, indeed, it was her. It is a very well spent 3 hour alternative to the bars and the beach, so if you are feeling footloose (final photo!) Do try it.

Quite disappointing to be fair!!! €23 entry fee wasn’t really worth it… maybe €10-12 would be better 👍🏻 I’ve noticed since been in Turkey & Bodrum, this country really loves to milk the tourists for there money 💰 a few old towers, a few old pots & statues, somewhat decent views but not a lot to see for the price you pay !!!! I was there almost 2 hours, hoping to find something profoundly interesting & utterly unique but not much else… the highlight was the indoor ship & if you wanted to see the other “ behind the glass ship “ that’s an extra €6 !!!! There are far greater things to spend €23 on but that’s my opinion 👋🏻
Nomad T — Google review
It's a large castle with a lengthy history and lots to see. Even without paying extra for the. Museum there are numerous displays from shipwrecks just off the coast. The day we went was extremely hot so we struggled as seniors to see everything. The separate buildings have fans to cool you down and that helped. As castles go it's a good one to visit.
George F — Google review
An awesome experience! This Castle is full of history and it was an inspired idea to use the various rooms & towers to tell stories of local archaeology as well as the shipwreck finds. There are 2 impressive reconstructions of ships and plenty of bilingual panels to learn about each display. Other archaeological exhibits include a realistic recreation of the Carian Princess which shows us that the ancients weren't too different from us. An absolute must for history and shipwreck buffs!

The castle is very big and there is a lot of stairs. The view from above is unmatchable. If you have spare time don't miss it just take is slow and easy.

The scenic location of the castle is certainly dominant - Right on Aegean Sea! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of visiting and touring the castle, which is very well preserved and full of historical artefacts. It is certainly worth visiting.

Yalıkavak Marina

Shopping mall
Nestled in the picturesque Bodrum region, Yalıkavak Marina is a vibrant hub that perfectly blends luxury and leisure. This expansive marina boasts an array of upscale shops, chic hotels, and delightful waterfront dining options that cater to every taste. Upon my visit, I was captivated by the stunning views and the warm hospitality of the staff who were eager to assist with any inquiries or recommendations.
The atmosphere, shops and cafes were upper class, but the view is amazing and makes for a great early evening walk around
Vicky C — Google review
Yalikavak Marina was high on my to do list when I visited Bodrum. I was really exited to travel there by bus, driving up and down the hills with stunning views. As I arrived the sun was due to set within the next half hour so I knew I got there at the best time. Unfortunately, being there in Mid May meant that a lot of shops were still closed or under construction. While the views and the breeze was absolutely breathtaking, I was disappointed by the lack of options and things to do at the time I was there. I checked online for all the new food shops that were being advertised as ‘now open’ - only to find out they’d be officially open a week later. Why false advertise and lie to people? I had to find alternative plans for places to eat and some of them were only taking bookings. In the end I found some places to eat and do shopping. The trip was definitely worth it but it would’ve been even better if stores and restaurants were open as advertised. However, this is a must visit place to spend some time taking in the scenery of the palm trees, modern architecture, yachts and ocean views. There always someone around to help you if you need assistance and mini LED maps with a list of restaurants, shops and activities in the area. Be sure to check it out and have your cameras ready.

Yalıkavak Marina is a delightful destination offering a relaxed yet upscale coastal experience. The marina itself is beautifully designed, with sleek walkways lined by luxury yachts and top-tier boutiques—an ideal place for a leisurely stroll or some scenic window shopping. The dining scene is excellent, with a wide range of restaurants and cafés providing stunning sea views and diverse cuisines. Notable spots like Zuma and Novikov stand out for both ambiance and quality. Even if you’re dining by the water, the atmosphere is elegant without ever feeling stuffy. Amenities are top-notch: the marina consistently wins awards (like the TYHA’s “Best Superyacht Marina” and “Clean Marina”) and is known for its high standards in service and facilities. The Yalıkavak Marina Hotel offers additional perks—beach access, a pool, spa and fitness centre, and private parking—adding to the overall convenience. On the flip side, it does get quite busy, especially during peak season, and prices tend to reflect its premium positioning. But for those seeking a refined seaside outing with plenty of charm and amenities, this place delivers. Overall, Yalıkavak Marina is a high-quality, scenic hub for dining, shopping, and strolling—an enjoyable and polished afternoon (or evening) by the Aegean.

Attached is my feedback written to the marina - nobody replies. This marina is just taking money and don't manage relevant complaints. the shopping mall is nice, but the marina and their handling is not. After having a 20-minute intensive talk and clear fact with them, this is more than disappointing – and to be honest made me very angry. They are only defending formal positions and not at all listen to my customer feedback which they should value. Here are the facts: After booking and my captain communication I called the marina myself and asked about the places and positions. I expressed my wish to be near to the mall for a surprise event for my guests. The person on the phone said, there are no promises but said, there will be for sure a great solution nearby. Yes, it is not a formal confirmation, but a clear sign of making things possible for customers. We got the most far out place available. We asked to change without any positive reaction. The berths near the mall are 50% empty – I know some owners want to reserve – but no action to solve or explain. Your communication and advertising are misleading – and only for this – with my feedback you should react properly. The price of 1.000.-€ / night you are charging is the double / triple as other marinas around – which is ok -but service, experience and surrounding must be excellent. And to sum up these are the issues: Communication was not as it should have been and even worse you don’t find proper solutions to calm me down No feedback at booking, where boats this level and size all the time will be located – clear briefing totally missing The pier we are at P4 – the pier is broken and has safety issues, see pictures / video attached The mooring robes are too short, in very bad conditions and are massively full of barnacles. bad for operations. The power supply was broken and needed to be repaired. Is this service worth 1.000.- €? plus 200.- € for power and water ? Not at all! Is your management of a relevant complain good ? Not at all! Instead of fixing this on the phone or in person with me you ask me to send mails and spending senseless time to prove my concerns.
