ZOO

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
The Wrocław Africarium is a large zoological garden and oceanarium that contains exhibits of over 1,000 different animals from Africa. It is one of the oldest working zoos in Poland, and open all year round. The zoo also has an exhibit devoted to the flora and fauna of the Dark Continent, which are unique on an international scale.
The Wrocław Zoo is absolutely amazing. The territory is huge, beautifully maintained, and full of animals from all around the world. One of the highlights is definitely the Afrykarium (aquarium) – breathtaking and worth the visit on its own. I spent about 4 hours walking through the entire area and covered roughly 8 km – that’s how big and impressive it is! There are plenty of toilets and food courts, which makes the visit convenient, especially for families. Prices for food and extras are on the higher side, but it’s definitely worth it for such a unique experience. For parents: renting a children’s wheeled cart costs 30 zł per day, which can be very helpful. Overall, an unforgettable experience and one of the top attractions in Wrocław. Highly recommended for everybody

I visited Wrocław Zoo on two separate occasions in September 2025 in order to make the most of my time in the city and the weather. I visit zoos across the world in order to photograph their animals, and would consider the one in Wrocław among the best. The zoo is well laid out, with many indoor houses and outdoor enclosures for species across the animal kingdom. The houses that most impressed me were the Terrarium (for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates) and the Afrykarium for African fauna. The Terrarium is laid out over two floors (unfortunately not accessible to wheelchairs) and contains around 100 exhibits for animals ranging from tiny insects to crocodiles and giant tortoises. All of these are appropriate in size and conditions for their inhabitants. Many of the animals here can only be seen here in Europe, including some tiny colourful geckos from the Indian Ocean. I spent several hours in here on my two visits, photographing all the animals I could see. The Afrykarium takes you on a journey through the continent and its waters. The only deviation from this theme was to replace the rare African manatees with their slightly more common Caribbean relative, of which I could see five individuals swimming in their tank. Other inhabitants include penguins, fur seals, sharks, hippopotamus, aardvarks, and elephant shrews. The building is accessible to wheelchairs with a few elevators, but one was out of service on my visit. Other notable exhibits include the bird house, with its many rare species, Pallas’s cats, and olive baboons. Overall I recommend a visit to anyone interested in birds, endangered species, unusual reptiles, or just animals in general.
Mo H — Google review
I absolutely loved my visit to the Wrocław Zoo! It’s one of the most beautiful and well-organized zoos I’ve ever been to. The animals look healthy and well cared for, and the enclosures are clean and spacious. The Afrykarium is a must-see — it feels like stepping into another world! 🐠🐧 There are plenty of places to relax, grab a snack, and enjoy the atmosphere. Perfect for families, couples, or just a peaceful walk surrounded by nature and animals. Highly recommend visiting! 🌿🐘🦓
Iryna K — Google review
Truly amazing experience! The Wrocław Zoo is much bigger than I expected and incredibly well kept. You can really see that the animals are healthy, well fed, and properly cared for — everything feels very natural and clean. There are so many different species to see, and the Afrykarium is just breathtaking! The only small downside is that not every section has English translations, but honestly, it didn’t stop us from enjoying it at all. It’s a wonderful place for both kids and adults — definitely one of the best zoos I’ve ever visited. Highly recommended!
Emil T — Google review
Great value for ticket cost, 176zł (£36.05 for x2 ticket, £18 per person). So many animals, a lot to see, indoor aquarium was amazing and tunnel under the sharks and rays was a highlight. Hot dogs from cafe at beginning were great, little expensive compared to other places (48zł for x2 hot dogs, x1 cola, x1 water, £8.82. Each hot dog at 12zł (£2.45) compared to 8.99zł (£1.84) for hot dogs and cola bottle elsewhere). Gift shop closed hour before zoo closed so missed out on getting any items from there sadly
Olive S — Google review
Absolutely stunning—easily one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to, and I’ve seen quite a few. Massive grounds, an incredible variety of animals, and more than enough to fill an entire day. A definite must-visit if you’re in Wroclaw.
Stefan B — Google review
Great ZOO with quite a long history! I'd especially recommend pavilon with manatees (there is not very many places to see those in Europe) and very nice terrarium. There is an underground parking nearby, so you can leave your dog in the car without worries even if it's hot outside. Very worth visiting once you are in Wroclaw!
Petr H — Google review
An incredible zoo with lots to see including an aquarium. The zoo covers a huge area and it’s really enjoyable to explore the grounds and buildings on site. Highly recommend a visit and would suggest half a day to explore as a minimum.

Sights & Landmarks
Racławice Panorama is a must-see attraction in Wroclaw, Poland. This circular building houses a 360-degree painting depicting the 1794 battle, along with maps and videos providing historical context. The city of Wroclaw offers numerous other attractions such as Ostrow Tumski, Cathedral Island, adorable gnome statues scattered around the city, and the impressive Centennial Hall.
IT WAS GORGEOUS, it will probably be one of the best things you'll see in your entire life. There's a new "performance" every 30 minutes, but I suggest you buy your ticket in advance to avoid waiting outside for too long. 🎟️ The price is worth it but it's so beautiful that 30 minutes are way too short to admire it to its fullest. There are also free audio-guides in many different languages that explain the history of the painting and describe it; but PERSONALLY I'd have preferred it without it (because it gave a bit of confusion because I focused on what the voice was saying instead of the actual painting).
Anna H — Google review
It was Amazing! If you are in Wroclaw it's a must see. My husband loved it. The panoramic painting is huge and it's designed this way for you to imagine to be in the middle of the battle. The session is 30 minutes long and the narrative is in Polish however if you need a translation please ask once you are inside. It's a beautiful beautiful piece of art. You won't regret it. It's about Polish uprising and Kosciuszko.
Anna S — Google review
I have to admit my boyfriend suggested this as a destination to go and see and I kind of thought no at the time but after going I genuinely think it was fantastic. It’s very cheap which is a bonus obviously. But you go In we bought a ticket before and you go up as a group you see the paining and they have translator devices so we chose English which if you have earphones is great and if you don’t you have to just hold the thing up to your ear. You hear all about the painting and they talk you through different sections as you walk around. It is genuinely impressive how they integrate the 360 art work with some scenery and props and lighting they’ve added to give you the immersed experience. All in all only took about 30 mins from getting there to leaving if that but it was fantastic and well worth a visit. As an aside, going during school hours will probably mean it’s full of class trips, so plan the journey that suits you. Although they sat at the side and didn’t get in the way on our trip.
Alice L — Google review
A great and worthy visit in Wrocław, the painting was amazing and very impressive to see. The only thing I’d suggest with the audio guide is that it has headphones, as it was very difficult to listen to the audio guide without headphones. The entry ticket also gives you entry to 3 other museums, and I suggest you book in advance as when we first went the showing was sold out until a few hours later.
Bella L — Google review
Interesting experience-a unique panoramic painting, combined with props, makes for an impressive visualization of a battle. It is worth spending the time. The tour is guided in multiple languages. Remember to book at least 2 hours ahead of time.
Bartek K — Google review
The Racławice Panorama is a monumental work commemorating the Battle of Racławice in 1794. A team of painters led by Jan Stka and Wojciech Kossak exhibited it in Lviv in 1894, on the centenary of the battle. The exhibition took place in a rotunda built especially for this purpose. During the tour, you'll first see a small panorama with a brief historical overview. Then, you'll enter the center of the redoubt, where you'll walk around and admire this work. I highly recommend it :)
Robert O — Google review
While in Wroclaw, I recommend visiting the Racławice Panorama, which is displayed in a huge rotunda in the city center. The painting covers 1,800 square meters and depicts the Battle of Racławice in 1794. In front of the rotunda entrance is the so-called Small Racławice Panorama. This multimedia presentation presents the origins of the painting and the group of artists led by Wojciech Kossak and Jan Styka. A wonderful exhibition!
Tripsforgroups — Google review
Very unique experience. To me, that was the most interesting piece of art I have experiences. I enjoyed the fascinating history and stories behind the art. One thing that would make it even better would be if they could provide headphones for the translation device so you don't have to hold it to your ear the whole time

The Museum of Bourgeois Art is located in the old town hall, a historic building dating back to the 13th to 16th centuries. The museum hosts the Wroclaw Symposium, a platform for artistic exchange and debate. Visitors can also embark on a scavenger hunt for over 350 dwarf statuettes scattered around the city, each with its own historical significance.
The Gothic town hall built from the 13th century is one of the main landmarks of the city. Very beautiful architecture❤️

The building itself is amazing, but I won't recommend anyone to visit inside (especially if you are a tourist). Let me tell you why: 1. Lack of English description 2. Staff are careless; they can't even speak simple English and are too loud 3. The interiors are boring and too plain. Please save your money and only take photos from outside with the building 🥰
JN0827 — Google review
Circa 30 min visit is about rifht. Nice building with historical significance for the city. Beautiful sealing and with few panels to read about the history itself.
Ladislav V — Google review
The facade of the building is quite beautiful and worth to see. But, the contents of this museum had a lack of storytelling. Simply, the historical objects are placed with info board. I hope they will improve for the future.
SATOSHI ( — Google review
I didn’t actually go inside the museum as I didn’t have the desire - but the exterior is absolutely stunning. Built in the gothic style and was built in the 13th century. Much of it survived the war so you can enjoy its natural beauty. Make sure to appreciate all the fine details 🥰

beautiful town hall which is now a museum. the astronomical clock at the east facade represent the Solar System with the "geocentric model" which is in accordance with the ancient experienced world and philosophical views of a pre-Copernician era.

My main interest in visiting this place was to see the inside of the town hall, which was very interesting to see complete with English language explanation of the evolution anf ornimentation of the building. The small exhibitions (kerosene lamps, German silesian porcelein, etc) were a bonus really, but still enjoyable.
Alex C — Google review
The building is very attractive from the outside, but the exhibition inside is fairly small. Personally, aside from a few items that were beautiful and interesting, most of what I saw didn’t impress me. Thousands of tree & flower species fill this lush green space, known for its rhododendrons & lilies.
One of the most beautiful flower orchards and parks that I have ever visited! This place is not only rich in history (many flowers were actually created here!) but it’s landscaping and depth of flower variety is truly breathtaking. I highly recommend you come here in the spring season and preferably not in weekends or holidays as the feeling is unlikely to be the same with the crowds. I suggest you take 3-5 hours for your visit, possibly including a picnic on the grounds (it’s allowed). There is also a surprisingly good cafeteria with warm and cold meals, excellent cakes and good coffee!

Amazing place! Definitely recommend to visit. Perfect place to relax . All plants and trees have tables with names. Big playground for the children. Additionally you can buy a map for children on which you will be collecting stamps during your walk in the garden. The perfect time for visiting is spring when everything is in bloom.

At the end of the Garden there are lots of cherry 🍒 tree. During the season it is possible to pick as much cherry possible and take them home. Highly recommend for family picnic.

Beautiful place for a nice walk, variety of plants, rocks display, grill, playground for kids. A free car park. Just a bit too crowded, and when you walk in - just number of ads, food places etc makes you dizzy. When you just over the first part, rest allow you to enjoy weather and nature
Luke — Google review
A great place to visit to walk among beautiful flowers. But I am told May is the best time when they are in full bloom. You could easily spend half a day here. Bring some food if you want to cook over a barbecue. You can buy food but the queues are long. There's a fun game for children to collect stamps dotted around the place. But this is a place to relax and enjoy the sun. But that's where it's appeal ends, as not sure what you can do in any other type of weather.

Church of Peace in Świdnica

Sights & Landmarks
The Church of Peace in Świdnica is a remarkable wooden religious venue, boasting ornate Baroque interiors and offering tours and services. It is part of the Churches of Peace, which were built by Silesian Protestants following the 1648 Peace of Westphalia. Only two of the original three churches have survived, with Świdnica's being one of them. In 2001, these churches were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
This is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever visited. The wood structure is unique and it is amazing to see a wooden church still in use after so many years. There are plenty of plaques outside around church where you can read about the history of relevant buildings and the cemetery. Inside the church you can read the information brochure and admire the art inside. When I visited this place, there were very few tourists so that you can spend a lot of time to appreciate the masterpiece. The history of the church is also very moving. I did not have a parking lot dedicated for this church. I guess street parking is the most convenient way. The parking meters show information in English and are easy to use.
Mengyang L — Google review
Really magical place. I stayed there for about an hour to read and hear about the history of this church. The whole area ist very peaceful. Some kind of stillness "reign" at this place. I was inspired to buy a guidebook about "treasures" of lower Silesia
Pawel B — Google review
Quite beautiful and special 17 century Lutheran church. It’s the largest Baroque wooden church in Europe. Thank to it’s remote location, the church was intact after WWII. It took us about one hour and half to admire the church, its surrounding and learn about its history. At the ticket counter you can get a document which explains most important details of the church ( history, construction, maintenance, renovation….) don’t miss it.
NGUYEN V — Google review
It is definitely a must see if you are in the town. The church was built only with wood in very little time. All the information about the church history is available on leaflets once you are there. Judging by the exterior - which is also nice - you could not tell how beautiful the interior is.
Arek M — Google review
We always visit this place in Świdnica with tourist groups. It's the largest wooden Baroque church in Europe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first mass was celebrated in 1657. Although the church was built as a result of religious wars, it remains a symbol of reconciliation.

The Bridge of St. John in Klodzko is a stunning architectural masterpiece that served as inspiration for the famous Charles Bridge in Prague. This Gothic bridge, spanning over the Mlynowka Canal, is one of the oldest and most well-preserved passages in Poland. Its historical significance surpasses even that of its renowned counterpart in Prague.
Interesting architecture, shame we only spend a few hrs in Kłodzko.

Very cool, defensive fortress with centuries of history. The underground corridors are impressive and sometimes even scary with their tight size and darkness. A very interesting place to visit. I recommend it

A very impressive fort, with a rich history throughout the ages. The museum is full of tales from the past and from the many different nations whom once claimed it as their own. The many facilities in the fort tell a thrilling story of the functions and the people who worked here. A well preserved historic site, worth visiting in the area.

Such a cool place to visit. This unique fortification complex is one of the kind. We recommend to buy combined ticket to tour the fort and the underground tunnels/the labyrinth. The views of Kłodzko town and surrounding hills from the observation points are remarkable.

We paid 60pln for castle and labirent I think it’s a lot for this place because it’s a castle in 24.500 people population city It might be quite important place however they don’t even have English guide for the tour . I tried to understand with the things they put for reading but Some of parts were just polish as well. Inside was not super interesting and only tunnel was okey to see The lady explained everything Polish and we didn’t understand anything and we got bored . It’s not worth it money 💰

Plece is ok to visit, but nothing very special. If I were to visit this place again, I would choose to see the sights without a tour guide.
Mieczyslaw W — Google review
The ticket you get is good for the whole day. You may also re-enter the fortress on the same day. The guided tour is interesting. It takes you also through several exhibitions, but there isn't much time to see them through. You might want to consider visiting them again after the tour is over.

Very interesting underground network from medieval era. There’s a lot of dressed up manequins and screens playing videos all throughout the tunnels. Takes about 1 hour to get to the exit. There’s no english version of leaflets or narration in there.

Fabulous tunnels with rich history but so disappointed no English translations underground. With so many tourists this would greatly enhance the experience for many.

Minieuroland

Amusement park ride
Minieuroland is a unique tourist park in Klodzko, Poland, featuring meticulous miniature replicas of iconic Polish landmarks. Situated in the picturesque Lower Silesian voivodship, the park offers visitors a chance to explore famous attractions on a smaller scale. The meticulously crafted miniatures include well-known structures and landscapes from across Poland. In addition to the miniatures, the park also features beautiful flower displays, some animals to see, and a playground for children.
The last time I was there it was 2 years ago. I can see that they are really building it up continuously. I was nicely surprised to see some small animals there. It is a great place to spend a few hours and they have quite nice restaurant area as well. It is busy and I can see why. I will definitely be back there.
Iwona M — Google review
Visiting Minieuroland was an unforgettable experience that filled my heart with joy and peace. This place is simply amazing, every corner is bursting with color, creativity, and care. It’s not just a park; it’s a carefully crafted wonderland where every detail is spotless and thoughtfully designed. One of the highlights for me was how well-treated and loved the animals are. It’s heartwarming to see such kindness and responsibility, they’re clearly happy and well cared for. And the flowers... wow. They surround you with breathtaking beauty, creating an atmosphere that feels like heaven on earth. I couldn’t stop smiling as I walked through the vibrant paths, soaking in the colors and fragrances. The attractions are truly spectacul, not just visually stunning but emotionally uplifting too. Each one brought a unique sense of wonder and excitement, and I genuinely loved the feeling each one inspired in me. I left Minieuroland with a happy soul and a peaceful heart. It’s a place where you can reconnect with joy, nature, and creativity. Highly, highly recommended!

Who would have thought, the mini buildings were the most boring part of the exposition? No, they are not so bad, but time with friendly parrots and other birds and animals was just much more fun! Also, all plants, bushes and trees made the area very pleasant place to be if you're not in a hurry. Overall, if you're coming here to see the miniatures, you might feel a bit disappointed, especially if your not from Poland, but there's always more to see!
Michal Š — Google review
A great place to spend the day for both children and adults. The abundance of flowers and miniatures is a feast for the eyes. You can visit the squirrel, bird, and parrot enclosures, where you'll have direct contact with the animals. There's a cafeteria, so after a walk around the park you can grab a bite to eat at low prices.
Jolita V — Google review
Adorable destination for a family trip, suitable for all ages (visitors mostly consisted of pensioners and young families at the time of my visit). The gardens are very well kept, miniatures detailed and larger than we expected. We didn’t stay for any refreshments, but it seemed to be a popular spot to grab lunch and some ice cream. I would only suggest a bigger range of souvenir options, not just fridge magnets and toys for kids.
Gabriela Č — Google review
Great place for families, we had a great time seeing the birds and miniatures. An Australians visiting Poland it was great to have the squirrel enclosure,my kids had so much fun. They could have spent the whole day just playing with them.
David H — Google review
DO NOT GO HERE! The animals are not happy! Overstimulated, Mistreated, Dirty and overcrowded enclosures. There are no attendants making sure that the guests don't slam the doors of the enclosures, the tour guide walks around with a microphone even between the animals in small cages. I reported a squirrel trapped between the door and fence and a worker scuffed it off (pictures below) The parrot cage is criminal, no ground just concrete and overcrowded with lots of people and music blasting. Instead of putting proper plants in the enclosures they would rather stick in a dry branch with dead leaves and put the pretty flowers outside - PATHETIC! The cages in the buildings have no airflow and it's boiling on the inside due to the heatwave, there are fans, but they are off! To make things worse, there are no places for the animals to retreat to if under stress, the cages are so small that they can't hide so they are so tired that people can pet them (pictures of squirrel trying to sleep but being touched) I'm sick to my stomach. SHAME ON YOU! And shame on anyone who can look at these animals and choose to go here! DO BETTER!
Jozua B — Google review
Beautiful park, you can make it in one hour but also spend a half of day there, depending on weather. Food is a bit poor, but everyone can find something small if needed. Be aware of parrots since they fly free and are also biting or chewing earings or any metal parts on the hoodie!

Visited with my family and all of us like it. Big park to relax, enjoy and spend the day in the company of various animals and birds. The real fun is life size display of dinosaurs and a big park for children to play. The information about dinosaurs is in both english and polish. Parking is free and big enough. Along with this, the restauant within the park serves decent ice cream and quick bite for those who are hungry. Definitely recommend for both children and adults.

Very wonderful park for family vacations. It will be interesting for both children and adults. Very well combined vegetation, paths, aviaries with birds, a separate corner with pets and of course life-size dinosaurs! Although they are plastic, but still make an incredible impression, each figure occupies a separate place among the bushes and trees. It is possible to approach, touch the models and take photos, as well as aviaries with birds, fences create a boundary between visitors and birds, but this does not change the fact that you are practically sheltered from them. Two hours in the park flew unnoticed. Highly recommend for a visit.

"Riese" complex - Włodarz

Mentioned on
1 list

The Riese complex, located in the Lower Silesia region, is a historical site from WWII that offers insight into the use of slave labor to construct underground bunkers for Hitler. The complex, situated in the Gory Sowie (Owl Mountains) near Ksiaz Castle, provides hour-long tours at a cost of 35 zl. Visitors should be prepared for low temperatures and wet conditions inside the bunker.
This was a very interesting experience. The tour lasts one hour (we had to wait 35 minutes for our time slot) and begins with a 10-minute video, albeit in Polish. This is not suitable for disabled visitors or those who find it difficult to walk as the surfaces inside the complex were very muddy, wet, and uneven. There were also steep stairs to climb up and down as well as a rather small wobbly boat to get in and out of. It is a great shame that they don't offer any English-speaking tour (not even once or twice a day) as this is clearly a popular tourist attraction. The guide we had was able to speak English so this would be possible to implement. They also need to improve the infrastructure. The road into the attraction was incredibly bumpy, and parking was difficult to find. Also, the toilets are stinky portaloos. So it's clear there is still a lot of work to do. Consider it a work in progress, but even now, it's still very much worth a visit.

Worth a visit. Interesting place. Price around 10€. Tours are organized every 30 minutes. Tour takes an hour. Free parking. Dress appropriately because it’s cold, humid and wet inside. Guides speak in polish so google before if you don’t speak polish.
Žygis K — Google review
We were there 4 years ago and it was interesting tour, duration around 1 hour, we visited unfinished parts as well as finished parts of the mines. The guide shared a lot of information and it was impressive. Unfortunately it was 4 years ago. Visited again few days ago and it was like conveyor - quick tour through unfinished parts only, guide was bored and constantly checking time, in half an hour we were through without visiting the finished parts. Total disappointment!
Rauls P — Google review
This was possibly the best of the 3 even though there was no English audio at all, however there's only 5 people at a time going down. You do get to take the boat through this one but honestly they just run their own tourism in Poland by not having English speaking tours or audio. I even emailed them and received no response at all! I mean it's just embarrassing for Poland because soo many more people would probably visit if they stepped up their tourism in the remote areas! All of the hotels around you are affected by you not marketing to Western tourist with English speaking tours! It's very cold inside the caves so bring something warm.

The Underground City Osówka is a fascinating tourist attraction located in the Ani plateau, characterized by hundreds of caves that have been carved out over time for various purposes such as dwellings, animal shelters, churches and pigeon houses. Among these caves are a network of tunnels and rooms built during WWII by Nazi slave workers, whose purpose remains unknown to this day. While the research on this underground city has been limited, visitors can explore it with a guide who shares stories about its history and significance.
Great spot for history and mystery lovers! The tour was in polish but there are English audio guides available. I will always remember this experience!
Анна З — Google review
Great experience, awesome place to visit. That being said, english audio guide can be rented next to the ticket office at the gift shop. They wanted us to pay 50 euros per audio guide as a deposit. I didn't have cash and the lady said that's fine go ahead and insisted we return them at the gift shop. When we returned everything was closed only people were some waiters from the next door restaurant so we left the audio guides with them. Questions - if the audio guides are worth 100 euros wouldn't you want them back ? Was it forgetfulness or trying a scam ?
Bogdan Z — Google review
Well worth visiting if you are interested in a WW2 history. Be mindful that enter is granted in tours only with guide provided no individual entry.

Awesome place to visit. It takes one hour, possible to pay by card. Audio guide is available in several langages (Cz, UA, RO, HU, D, EN...)
Pavel S — Google review
Very interesting place! Did both tours. The "special" tour is only in Polish and will take you through the flooded part of the tunnels. Its approximately 200m in the dark but you get a flashlight along. This is the only extra compared to the normal tour The normal tour is with an audio-guide in English, French, German or Czech. Together with the guide you'll walk trough the illuminated tunnels. At every stop he tells something in Polish and as a non Polish person you can listen to the audio-guide. Both tours take app. 50 minutes. The guides speak a bit of English so you can ask them for some extra info. After the tour is finished you can walk up the mountain to see the casino and the ruins. An intense but nice walk.
Michiel — Google review
Great experience, really good tour guide provided a lot of information.
Katarzyna W — Google review
What a disappointing tour - if you are not Polish! If you do not speak Polish, you get an audio guide. The audio guide however is inadequate. They put non- Polish speakers all together in a group with polish speakers who have an actual human guide. Some sections of the audio guide lasts for 2 minutes, say. Then you have to then wait until the human tour guide speaks to the rest of the group for a further 5 minutes or more. Why can't the audio guide be the same content as if you were a Polish speaking tourist? I thought the whole experience was to attract tourists from all over the world to spend their money here and learn about Polish history. Also, the tour guide is loud, so the people listening to headphones (sorry, 'headphone' because they only give you one!) can't actually hear what is being said in their ear. So the audio guide people linger at the back and then get told off (quite rudely) by the guide for being left behind whilst they are still listening. Some sections of the tour were spoken by the tour guide in Polish and were completely missed off the audio guide. It is a shame because this piece of history is very important and interesting to this part of Poland. I came away feeling that because I wasn't a Polish speaker, I was treated like a second class citizen. Either make the audio guide much better or seperate the Polish speakers from the non-speaking tourists.
Frapptree — Google review
Nice experience! First impression then you come closer to the cave - is extreme cold. So do not forget warm clothes. The cave itself is impressive, the same as the history behind it. Guides are only in polish language, so do not forget to take audio guide at the ticket office. Deposit for it only in cash.

A fascinating place with history reaching back to the early 20th century, built by Prince Jan Heinrich Hochberg for his wife Daisy of Książ Castle. It has kept its original structure and unique charm to this day. Inside, you walk through long glass corridors filled with palm leaves, citrus trees, and giant cacti. Each greenhouse has a completely different atmosphere – from tropical humidity to desert warmth. Everything feels authentic and alive, more like a living garden than a museum display. Outside, there’s a small park with creative installations, a flower peacock, and a cozy little shop full of plants. We even caught a seasonal Halloween setup — pumpkins, decorations, and autumn colors everywhere. 🎃 You can easily spend around an hour walking through the gardens and greenhouses, just soaking up the calm and atmosphere.
Lukas B — Google review
After the recent renovation, the place looks less attractive — it feels more cramped, with less greenery and open space. The overall atmosphere has changed, and unfortunately, the quality of the staff service has also declined, making the visit less pleasant. It's still interesting to see, but I expected a more vibrant and welcoming environment based on its previous state. Overall, it’s an okay place to visit, but there’s room for improvement.

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Książ Castle, the largest castle in Lower Silesia, is a grand chateau-style complex situated on a hill overlooking the river Pelcznica and part of the Waldenberg mountains. Originally built in 1288 and expanded in the 16th century, it showcases Gothic, Baroque, and Rococo architectural styles. The castle offers guided tours with informative audioguides that seamlessly lead visitors through its rich history and art gallery.
Zamek Książ is a very impressive historical place to visit with rich history, culture and mystery. The palace is so huge, elegant, well maintained, super clean and well managed. Thump up for the dedicated staff. I have visited the palace few times and I well visit again as it is near impossible that you can absorbe this rich history from one visit particularly when you see the picture of Princess Daisy with her dazzling beauty and philanthropy. But I am glad that after the WWII, the castle was restored and open to the public to see first hand the beauty and charm of such amazing historical castle in the whole world. You got to see the place. You will not regret it. I recommend.

We walked in the summer, but wanted to see this castle last winter, which might be a bit problem as the path may have been a bit slippery. It's a nice circuit along the river, quite uphill, from St Anne's church, (ruins) through the old castle to the new chateau , which is beautiful and the park maintained, free to enter. The place is photogenic and on the way there you can stop at the viewpoint. However, choose the right part of the day not to have the sun directly to your eyes.

Unbelievable castle! Very huge with an extended park. Tha castle itself is nicely decorated and furnished. You can feel the atmosphere of the past. By official suggestion you need 2.5 hours to go round but we did it shorter because we didn't have too much time. We went on the underground tour as well which is very interesting. It was part of the Rise Project of nazi Germany. A sharp contrast with the peaceful world of the castle!! You have to climb a lot of stairs!! Be careful. But it is worth!

It was an interesting visit, but there were some organizational issues. Ksiaz Castle is definitely worth a visit. The self-guided tour of the interior is interesting and informative. Seeing the original furniture and décor from different historical periods was fascinating and really helped us imagine life in those times. The castle is large, and the tour takes about one to two hours, depending on your pace. You can explore at your own pace, which is a big plus. After finishing the tour of the interior, you can access the gardens, where you can walk around, relax, and even grab a bite to eat at the café. Note that prices are on the expensive side. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience with the security staff. Due to the large number of visitors, it was difficult to stop and take photos, so I wanted to walk back and capture some shots I had missed. However, I was told that going against the flow is not allowed, even though I saw someone else (not a staff member) doing so freely. It felt inconsistent and frustrating. Make sure not to skip the underground section of the tour. It provides fascinating insight into the castle’s role during WWII. It's quite cold underground, so bring a warm layer. Plan to spend about 40 minutes down there. Overall: It's a beautiful, historic place worth visiting, but be prepared for some crowd-related limitations during peak times.
Mykhailo — Google review
Better to come earlier to prevent huge queue for the tickets. Use terminals to the left from tickets office (same enter as tickets office), they were totally free. Great and clean place inside and outside. P.s. if you want to enjoy coffee after visiting castle - better stay in cafe inside (NOT on terrace), because they have huge queue and bad coffee quality. So buy inside whatever you want (as take away) and enjoy terrace view.

Beautiful church made entirely out of timber! No metal used, no stones, even the nails keeping the planks together are wooden. No wonder it is a UNESCO site. There is an entry fee, and for taking photos there is another fee, so please remember to bring some cash with you.

The church is absolutely stunning, and well worth the visit and drive despite it being out of the way from normal tourist stops. To our surprise, when we paid the entrance fee he put English audio on over the speakers that narrated the history of the church. I know it's in several other languages as he did the same for other visitors. It was quiet and peaceful and we explored the nooks and crannies downstairs. The Church of Peace in Jawor was built in the mid-17th century after the Thirty Years’ War, when Protestants were granted the rare right to build a place of worship—but only under strict conditions. The church had to be constructed outside city walls, without a bell tower, and using only perishable materials like wood, straw, and clay. Despite these limitations, it became a stunning example of timber-frame architecture and is a marvel to wonder at today.

Very beautiful Church made out of Timber. It is definitely worth a visit to this beautiful Church. There is an entry fee that is very minimal but they do not provide any guides in English. You have to look at the pictures to see how beautiful this church is inside. When we were there there were people working on the church refinishing portions of the art. I'm glad that they are renovating the portions that need to be done and I want to be able to support this effort.

One of only three lutheran churches allowed to be constructed in Poland during the second half of the 17th century. Of the three, only two remain, those in Lawor and Swidnica. They now belong to the Unesco world heritage. When I visited in July of 2025 I was the only visitor. You pay an entrance fee upon which you have to pay an additional fee if you are taking photographs. The church is constructed using the same materials as in many regular houses of its time, wooden beams, clay and straw. The interior is beautifully decorated in baroque style and can seat up to 6000 people on several rows of balconies. A marvelous experience that you definitely should not miss if you are in the region of any of these two cities.

Fantastic monument! Everything about it it's just breathtaking. Must place to visit in Lower Silesia.

Must visit. Top architecture. No nails used while building. Stunning inside.
Anna P — Google review
A stunning example of 17th-century engineering and religious resilience. Built entirely out of wood, without nails, in just one year – and it still stands strong nearly 400 years later. A must-see for anyone interested in architecture, history, or how to outsmart imperial restrictions. And yes, they accept card payments – bless modernity.

Nature & Parks
Stołowe Mountains National Park, located in Lower Silesia, is a vast and relatively undiscovered mountain landscape that offers a range of outdoor activities. The park is known for its hiking and biking trails, as well as opportunities for skiing and nature exploration. Visitors can explore the picturesque villages and resorts within the park, which offer accommodations ranging from small mountain huts to cozy hotels with traditional Polish cuisine.
I wasn’t familiar with the road, my phone had no signal, and there weren’t many tourists, so I didn’t find the main scenic spots. But I still got some exercise and saw some works of nature.

The Stolowe Mountains are a must visit in the Czech Republic for any hiker. You have multiple trails in the national park where you can follow the marked trees by different colour and/or pattern or the signs that point to the correct direction and tell the distance ahead. Also in the start of many trails you can find parking spots and a stand with additional information about the length and difficulty of the trail. In the trails you will encounter many stones in magnificent shapes and forms and rock walls that seem "outwordly". For our hiking we used AllTrails application to stay on route - it did help us multiple times as you can get off road easily as there are many routes/trails in the area! Note: most of the trails are dog friendly

Stołowe Mountains National Park is located in the Central Sudetes, in the south-west portion of the Kłodzko region, at the border with the Czechia. The largest attraction of this national park is its picturesque rock bastions traversed by caves and labyrinths, as well as boulders, known as “mushroom rocks”, featuring shapes not seen anywhere else in Poland.
Paweł — Google review
One of the most interesting places to visit in Sudetes. Tourist attractions Szczeliniec Wielki on which is an interesting labyrinth and an amazing view, and Skalniak on which is the labyrinth Błędne Skały (Errant Rocks). Highly recommended.

Szczeliniec Wielki, located in the Table Mountains, offers a thrilling hiking experience with its intricate rock formations and well-maintained trails. The peak provides breathtaking views and is accessible to hikers of varying fitness levels. Visitors can explore the labyrinthine Skalne Grzyby or Bledne Skaly formations and enjoy the stunning scenery from various viewpoints along the way.
Amazing views, easy climb. It’s even better than Zakopane. Recommend to everyone

I recommend coming here. It’s a long walk up but when you get to the top it is well worth it. You might want to take some snacks and water with you.
Oliver M — Google review
What a great place to visit! Trails and mountains are breathtaking, well maintained and beautiful. Strongly recomend.

Absolute must when in the area. The pathway along the gorges and maze like rock formations of Szczeliniec are breath taking and also loads of fun to squeeze via various narrow pathways feeling closer to nature than ever. One spot I had to go down on all 4s as otherwise would never make it but still had a blast. There’s also a mountain shelter on top with a variety of food, snacks, gifts and drinks for before taking the between rocks path. People say it’s worth to buy tickets in advance, but in early November there was no need. So if you’re planning in peak season check the website for an early purchase.

There are many nice hiking trails in Stołowe mountains. This is the most crowdy, popular and probably interesting one. Mostly because great view platforms. Easy to climb and walk. 2 hours in total.

Highly recommended to visit here with kids. Tickets can be booked online to avoid the queue. Preferred on Weekdays if it is summer.

Breathtaking views! Wear tracking boots, water, some food. Walking to the top is about 20-40 min, depends on your physical condition. I was there in about 12:30 PM and there were some groups of people. Not too crowded. Back road is easy.

Errant Rocks, also known as Bledne Skaly, is a series of named rock formations located in the Stołowe Mountains near the border of Czechia in Kudowa-Zdroj, western Poland. The area offers stunning natural beauty and a unique hiking experience. The rocks form a natural labyrinth where visitors can navigate through narrow paths and crevices, making for an exciting and adventurous journey.
Fantastic scenery views and great day out there with the family. Very interesting walks in twin massive rocks..same tunnels was very hard to get through, due my weight. Very tidy, but was a challenge adventure. Not advice for small babies and if you have same extra weight or back pain. The National Park could provide more portable toilets in 1 more spot, just after the rocks walking end.
Pedro C — Google review
Excellent attraction - I would recommend buying tickets for parking beforehand since without parking you need to walk up the 3km beforehand until you get to the rocks and parking is sparse ( unless someone wants to walk up ), other than that the trail is excellent, views are great and its funny trying to get through the more narrow spaces. I would go again to visit more of these rocks other than the tourist trail we did.
Luiza W — Google review
Błędne Skały in Poland is a very interesting and unique place. The rocks create a natural maze with narrow paths and unusual shapes. Walking through it feels like a small adventure. The area is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. I really enjoyed exploring Błędne Skały and think it is worth visiting.
Daria — Google review
A truly unique place that is worth visiting. I recommend purchasing your access tickets in advance and especially reserving the time you want to enter the parking lot. Access to the parking lot is at a fixed time and if you do not show up a few minutes before the scheduled time you risk losing your spot. Access is by car on a narrow road with a length of approximately 3 km to the paid parking lot. There is free parking at the bottom but this means that you will have to travel a few more km round trip to access the rock labyrinth.
Enjoyfamilytravels — Google review
Right on the border between Poland and Czechia lies a hidden gem truly worth visiting. I honestly didn’t expect much—I’ve seen plenty of places called “Rock City” before. But this one surprised me. What makes it different? The trail winds through the rocks, not just around them. Sometimes you have to crawl, squeeze through narrow gaps, or twist your body to fit through tiny loopholes. I felt like a kid on a giant natural playground—it was pure fun :)
Sergej M — Google review
The Errant Rocks (pl: Błedne Skały) in the Table Mountains(pl: Góry Stołowe) in Poland are an intricate labyrinth of rocks. Their formation is estimated to have taken millions of years. This popular tourist attraction is located within a national park. Nearby are viewing points, parking lots, restrooms, and educational trails.
Robert O — Google review
Absolute gem, rocky formations with a great path between them, at times very narrow passages, so some fitness required and no claustrophobia. If you’re tall (like me) be ready for some serious crouching. Not for chubby people as you might get stuck in some really tight spots. The views from the top are amazing though so still worth the visit even if not accessing the “maze” it self.
Filip S — Google review
Errant Rocks is located at 853 m above sea level and has an area of 21 hectares. The rocks are here about 6 to 11 meters high and you move here on your own like in real rocky labyrinth. I don’t recommend using here huge sport rucksacks as it may be difficult to move with them. The trail has a few hundred meters and sometimes the tourists have to squeeze through very small rock crevices so if you are too fat- the place is not for you. It is really amazing experience.

Skull Chapel

Shrine
Sights & Landmarks
The Skull Chapel, located in Czermna near Kudowa Zdroj, is a modest 18th-century chapel that serves as a haunting memorial to the victims of war and disease. The walls and ceiling are adorned with over 3,000 human skulls and bones, with an additional 20,000 to 30,000 filling the crypt below. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior offers a chilling reminder of the tragedies of history.
If you have never seen any skulls chapels this place is worth visiting. It is small but is done with a purpose, and you see the history, and you understand the reason why it has been done. The story that will told inside about this place. It worth visiting it if you are nearby.
Anton M — Google review
Amazing Chapel. We had a very informative guide that explained this was a memorial to the people and soldiers that were killed during the Thirty Years War, disease such as syphilis, and a wife and husband murdered. Then he opened the trap door on the floor full of bones. 3,000 skulls. No photo rule for interior but easily can be viewed on Google.
The P — Google review
In 1776 human skulls and bones were found near the bell tower. These were victims of the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) and numerous epidemics. The human remains were cleaned and collected in the chapel. Currently, there are approximately 30,000 of them. No photos are allowed inside.
Tripsforgroups — Google review
Spot to be seen during a visit to the Lower Silesian voivodeship, the Table Mountains Landscape Park. The chapel, whose decor is real human bones and skulls. A place of contemplation.

Interesting place and story about how it was build. Unfortunately they take way to many people at once. We couldn't see much or hear from back.
M K — Google review
Huge scam. In reality, the place is very small and looks fake. They advertise it as something much bigger than it really is – the photos are very misleading. Taking pictures is not allowed, probably just to prevent people from showing what a scam it is.
Kacper W — Google review
Story told by a real person, however, no photos allowed.
Johnny P — Google review
Located in the small Polish town of Czermna, the Skull Chapel is a small and unassuming chapel. However you would be shocked by what’s hidden behind the wooden door. The skulls and bones of over 3,000 victims of wars and plagues cover the walls and ceiling and another 21,000 skeletons fillings the church crypt below. The chapel was built in 1776 by Bohemian local parish priest Vaclav Tomasek, who served as a mass grave for local people who died from war and disease during that period of time, the chapel was intended as a shrine for the dead, as well as a “memento mori” for the living. The Skull Chapel is the only such monument in Poland, and one of six in whole Europe.

Adršpach-Teplice Rocks

National reserve
Nature & Parks
Adršpach-Teplice Rocks is a nature reserve featuring impressive sandstone rock formations, perfect for tours and rock climbing. The rocks were formed 85 million years ago under the Cretaceous sea, making it feel like a prehistoric wonderland. Visitors can explore clearly marked paths and enjoy the stunning beauty of nature. In winter, the area can be slippery but still worth visiting, while in summer, it's an ideal place to cool down.
Adršpach Rock Formations – Like Another World Absolutely surreal place – it really feels like stepping into another world. A beautiful destination, perfect for families. Everything is incredibly clean, especially considering how many tourists visit. The first time we went was on a weekend – and wow, it was packed! No tickets left, no parking spots. It was chaos. I highly recommend going on a weekday morning. There are way fewer people, which makes it much easier to walk, climb the stairs, and just enjoy the experience without being rushed or bumped into. Make sure to buy your tickets (and parking) online in advance – saves you a lot of stress and ensures you can enter on time. If you’re wondering whether it’s doable with kids – it is! We managed the entire trail with our 4-year-old. We carried them up the steeper stairs, but overall, it was totally worth it. As for the extra boat ride – there’s not that much to see (a short trip through marshy water), but it was still worth it. The captain was hilarious – we hadn’t laughed that much in a while! And the climb up those stairs afterward made it even more memorable.

A little over 2 hours drive from Prague, but worth the journey! Breathtaking scenery around every bend. The main green trail is easy. The yellow trail is more intense terrain, but well marked. Impossible to get lost. I spent 5 hours here.

The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are absolutely stunning! The natural rock formations and breathtaking scenery make it a must-visit destination. We opted for the green trail, a beautiful hike that took us around an hour and a half through the park. The walk was peaceful and offered amazing views at every turn. Just a heads up, you need to book your tickets in advance. We scheduled our visit for 5:00 PM, which turned out to be the perfect time—great weather and fewer crowds. Highly recommend!

In June 2024 I had the opportunity to visit the Museo Project Arado. Not only did I like it very much, but in this comment I want to highlight the excellence of the staff that serves the visitors, for their education and extensive knowledge of the subject that the museum deals with. Also, while I was buying the ticket, one of the volunteer employees of the museum, upon learning that I was a War Veteran of the Argentine Air Force (because of the cap I was wearing that had that legend) had the courtesy to attend to me preferentially and I made the visit with the guide of BARTOSZ MICHAŁOWSKI, this young "soldier" guided me through the different tunnels while he was telling me in great detail (in very good English) the events that occurred 80 years ago, denoting a great knowledge of the subject. With his performance BARTOSZ has raised the level of this museum even more. Thank you BARTOSZ MICHAŁOWSKI I was very impressed by your excellent work.

Part of the massive underground system built by Third Reich in the Lower Silesia Mountains, well preserved and now accessible. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff and guides. Just opposite the entrance you can find a book store with plenty of books, maps, gifts etc.
Wiktor J — Google review
The "Arado project" is the most modern underground complex in Poland. Innovative illumination lights, audio effects and a guide that takes the role of an agent of the Polish intelligence and leads the group to get German secrets – are just some of the attractions that await tourists in Kamienna Góra. The underground hides unique exhibits – elements of the V-1 missile and V-2 rocket, a German radar, and even the German enigma. Kamienna Góra is located in Lower Silesia, halfway between Wałbrzych and Jelenia Góra. During World War II, this mysterious town was riddled with underground complexes like Swiss cheese with holes. Today, we know about ten underground facilities located in various parts of the town. They were dug by the Germans (or rather forced labourers) to house the design offices and factories producing aerial structures and weapons. At that time, Kamienna Góra was one of the centres of German aerial technology - the former textile factories housed, inter alia, the design office of ARADO company, which constructed the most famous jet of World War II - Arado 234 Lightning and the mythical airplane Arado 555. Mr Maciej-tour guide is a great ambassador for Arado's project with his knowledge of its history. He was knowledgable, stopped at some very special places on the journey and all the stops were interesting. You will see more in my gallery-31 pictures from my visit. Full recommendation!
Piotr J — Google review
The tour was more about rusty weapons with unnecessary theater and questionable jokes than actual history of the place. Not worth the price.
