(Translated by Google) Favorite place of leisure. On the website you can buy or book tickets, as well as watch upcoming premieres. The productions are not only for children, as before during the Youth Theater, but also for 16+, often with deep meaning. Ticket prices average 250-350 rubles. The staff is responsive. The performances are all humorous and you remember the troupe from the very first performances. The actors are a separate page, I adore them all together and each individually, I follow their lives on social networks. Of the minuses: it can be cool in the theater, but they warn you about this and ask you to wear capes or scarves. And our audience is completely uncultured, everyone talks and laughs loudly, they don’t turn off their phones, which makes it difficult to watch the performances.

The park adjacent to the Diorama features a stunning pond that remains unfrozen even during winter months. This splendid body of water boasts two distinct levels, adding to its charm and uniqueness. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere while observing an array of ducks and pigeons that inhabit the area. (Translated by Google) Diarama Pond is a great place. What is especially nice is that the ducks living in the pond stay for the winter. And they can be fed all year round. You can also go boating. Yulka and I did this quite often. In the summer of 2018, Dan Barbos and Alenka Zayats also went for a ride. But with them was a drunken Doe, whom the distributors did not allow onto the boat. Then the Doe from the other bank, at the risk of falling into the water, got into the boat, holding ice cream in her hooves.
DMITRY K — Google review
(Translated by Google) Beautiful place. Near the circus, McDonald's, Hilton Hotel. You can go boating. But! The pond is dirty. There is a very narrow path around the pond. The coverage is disgusting in places. It is quite difficult to get around the pond with a stroller or a children's bicycle, because... There are no ramps. You have to carry it by hand over the steps.

A one hour distance from Nizhny Novgorod very peculiar museum and folk art show room with live demonstrations of hand made art, music and dance presentations. The staff make you feel very welcome and the tea house at the end of the guided tour is something worth while. If you have the opportunity to visit the town, do the souvenir shopping over there, as the prices are much cheaper.

This location takes you back in the history and culture of Russia. They offer so many things, from typical small souvenirs to hand made items by you! They help you make something unique. You can watch and buy their art (paintings, clothes, souvenirs). You have here also a place to eat and drink, toilet that is clean and free. The stuff is very polite and professional, full of knowledge about the history, culture and art. It is a nice place to visit with your family or friends. It has also a playground for children.
Luka T — Google review
I recently visited the Cultural and Historical Center in Gorodets city (Gorod Masterov, Gorodets) with high hopes of immersing myself in the rich cultural heritage of the city. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had expected, leaving me feeling disappointed and frustrated. First and foremost, the staff at the reception were incredibly unfriendly and impolite. Their lack of warmth and willingness to assist visitors was disheartening. I had hoped for a welcoming atmosphere where I could engage in meaningful conversations about the exhibits and learn more about the city's history. However, the reception staff's demeanor was off-putting and left me with a negative impression of the center. Additionally, the craft demonstration for children was a letdown. It felt rushed and lacked the enthusiasm needed to engage the children effectively. The crafts presented seemed disorganised and poorly prepared, failing to create an enjoyable and enriching environment for the kids. Craft demonstration ladies were looking to perform for large tourist groups rather than individual visitors. We ended up returning a ticket back to reception, because we didn't feel like doing another class with this kind of atmosphere. The receptionist's respond was very rude, unwilling to fix the problem or apologise. As someone who values cultural experiences and seeks to support local institutions, it was disheartening to encounter such a disappointing visit at the Cultural and Historical Center. I sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns into consideration and works towards improving the overall visitor experience, particularly in terms of staff friendliness and the quality of interactive demonstrations. Visitors, specially yang kids, deserve a warm and welcoming environment that showcases the cultural richness of Gorodets, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of that expectation.

(Translated by Google) Wonderful museum & Amazing staff)) Having visited many museums, we note this museum as the best, but not even about the beautiful exhibition, but about three beautiful women. Such a charge of patriotism is conveyed, so much enthusiasm. We We were speechless, my mother was crying... you won’t see anything like this anywhere else. We leave only the best wishes, we recommend this museum to everyone - every person. Miracle - museum! In Mstera we saw a lot of beautiful things, the residents were very friendly, they had ancient nobility. Let's note the unique art museum, (take a magnifying glass, you won’t regret it) We had lunch at the monastery (special order). We went to the artel where they paint icons and boxes - it was fascinating... We recommend a trip to Mstera from our group.

Don’t be surprised if the people of Palestine greet you on the street ☺️ It’s very sweet and sincere. A beautiful building, inside of which the furnishings of the house of Levitan and his cohabitants have been preserved, as well as a quite impressive collection of paintings by Levitan. I really liked it! (Translated by Google) The entire significance of Ples, in my opinion, is connected precisely with the name of Levitan. The museum is small. The interiors of the rooms on the mezzanine, which were occupied by Levitan and Kuvshinnikova, have been recreated. If there is a tour group in the museum, then viewing the exhibition is extremely difficult. There is no toilet in the museum, only the art gallery has a toilet. For those who arrived by boat, this is a victory, but for other visitors to Plyos it is a problem.

(Translated by Google) The Levitan Museum itself is very interesting, like all museums dedicated to someone. You can have a good time here, we went and looked at it on a guided tour. At the exit they sell souvenirs, books and paintings with the artist’s work. In Plyos, although a small town, it is very addictive to walk along the embankment and look at the ancient buildings and the life of ordinary people, as if you were transported to another era.

(Translated by Google) Dobrograd is beautiful!!! Were on July 1, 2023. at a concert of opera soloists of the Bolshoi Theater. The impression is amazing!!! The only thing that upset me was the organization after the end of the concert. There were clearly organized buses from the parking lot that took them to the Dobrograd gates, but back there was chaos. The girls told everyone to walk, the bus would not go to the lower parking lot. There were older women with chopsticks. Everyone was outraged. We had to walk (although the buses passed by were half empty). The situation is unclear... and it left a bad aftertaste. Minus for the concert organizers.

(Translated by Google) Great place. The service is like in a good European hotel. You just need to take into account that the standard rooms are on the 1st floor, and this turns out to be a basement floor, but this is not very critical, since the hotel is built, as it were, on a hill. The spa is simply magical, we visited at the end of October and it would have been so nice to enjoy a warm pool on a gloomy autumn day. Large selection of steam rooms (Russian, hammam, stone, salty, Finnish). Be sure to go to the Shower of Impressions, it will leave an indelible impression)))). You can walk to Dobrograd Park, but it’s a bit far for lazy people. You can order a transfer; it’s free for hotel guests. When you’re in the park, be sure to visit the Rope Town (there’s enough adrenaline for a year) and the Stork’s Nest restaurant.

(Translated by Google) A good and kind performance was organized here for children. I recommend visiting if you are traveling with children. Thematic presentation is about 30-40 minutes. Starting on the street, guests are then invited to the mansion where guests are greeted by the Snow Maiden and the Bayun cat; in one of the rooms, Santa Claus greets the children via video. The animators are very attentive, but it feels like they are limited in time - timing. The second plot is in a “frosty” refrigerator room where ice figures are presented: a throne, a Snow Maiden, a Christmas tree, etc. You need to buy a separate ticket here. They give a quilted jacket and pour glasses of mead for adults, and milkshakes for children. We came in, froze, and left. But the kids have fun. Thanks to the animators! In addition to the animators in the tower, there is an administrator who they forgot to dress up as Baba Yaga and a cashier who is clearly alone not coping with the sale of skip-the-line tickets to newly arriving guests, masks and souvenirs from the shop (shoe covers are fortunately free). Baba Yaga three times during the performance demanded to see receipts for payment for the performance, despite the fact that these tickets were bought here. It’s good that I had a wife and had someone to distract the child, otherwise the impression would have been completely ruined...

We were at the last session (5 p.m.), there were a lot of visitors, despite it being a weekday (August, children's holidays). It was felt that the artists were tired, but their charm, especially the one who was with us in the ice room, was beyond praise! In general, I express my gratitude to all the artists! And also to those employees who took part in filling the room with fairy-tale characters - very high quality dolls! When visiting Kostroma, be sure to check out this place! There are places to take pictures, an interesting excursion, fascinating stories, and you even take part! The impression is good, the only ice room flies by quickly, since children freeze quickly, and it’s cold, but the mead from ice glasses is very tasty - it’s for adults, and the cocktail is delicious for children too! I recommend visiting, the price is not very expensive, the ice room is the most expensive, a ticket for an adult costs 320 rubles, and for a child 160 rubles. There are so many photos, it’s impossible to upload them all🤗 (Original) Kostroma Gostiny Dvor is a remarkable destination that showcases the charm of provincial Neoclassical architecture in Russia. This well-preserved complex, built on the historic site of the ancient Kostroma kremlin after a devastating fire in 1773, features over ten buildings constructed across nearly fifty years. Visitors are enchanted by its timeless atmosphere, reminiscent of nearly two centuries ago.

The Ipatiev Monastery, also known as the Hypatian Monastery, is a significant historical site located on the bank of the Kostroma River in Russia. Founded around 1330, it features relics such as ancient icons, books, and vestments. The monastery played a crucial role in Russian history as it was where Mikhail Romanov was elected Tsar in 1613, marking the beginning of the Romanov dynasty's rule.
A must-visit. The Ipátiev Monastery in Kostroma, Russia, is historically significant as the site where Mikhail Romanov was elected Tsar in 1613, beginning the Romanov dynasty's rule. It later gained tragic notoriety during the Russian Revolution when Tsar Nicholas II and his family were held there before their execution in 1918, marking the end of imperial Russia. Today, the monastery's restored churches and serene atmosphere attract visitors interested in exploring Russia's imperial past and reflecting on the profound political shifts that shaped modern Russian history.

Museums
Nestled just outside the south wall of a historic monastery lies Kostromskaya Sloboda, one of Russia's pioneering open-air museums dedicated to wooden architecture. Established in 1960, this enchanting museum park was created to preserve traditional wooden houses and churches that were at risk due to the rising waters from the Volga River. Visitors can wander through a picturesque setting that resembles a quaint village, showcasing how people lived in past centuries with authentic tools and amenities on display.
Really interesting and educative place. It is museum on the open and looks like a village. You can see how people used to live with all the amenities and tools they used. Some of the houses are opened and staged so you can see inside as well. It is well maintained and clean. Staff is nice and helpful. They have a small gift shop and refreshments at the entrance. You will need one hour to go around and explore. Definitely recommend to visit and enjoy here.

Absolutely amazing! Houses of peasants of 19th century were brought there and partially reconstructed. A church of 17th century looks like nothing presented in the city itself. A pond and birches create an atmosphere of a remoted village. Besides, there is Ipatievsky cathedral nearby (a 5 min walk on foot). We took a taxi there, which costs 100 rub. Very convenient and saves plenty on time.

The Church of the Intercession on the Nerl is a significant symbol of the Orthodox religion, located in a stunning setting overlooking the confluence of the Nerl and Klyazma rivers. Constructed in 1165 by Andrei Bogolyubsky in memory of his son, this medieval Russian church stands on a massive limestone foundation near Bogolyubovo. The landscape surrounding the church is truly breathtaking, with its white stone structure built on a specially constructed hill to protect it from flooding.

On the banks of the river Nerli in the 11 th century this beautiful church was built as a hope for the nascent Christian Community of Vladimir. This Church was actually on the bank of the confluence of two rivers which was indeed a trade route. The stones were brought by the boats as no stones were available in this area. The surrounding area was all complicated by the criss crossing of the electrical wores stretched all over. A recent Governor of the placed removed them and it's a magnificent monument of the.hope of Russians in an open space filled with silence, stillness and serenity. Just opposite of it one can see the Andre Boglubiluski Monastery, a blue domed convent.

Svyato-Bogolyubskiy Zhenskiy Monastyr'

Convent
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled along the highway, Svyato-Bogolyubskiy Zhenskiy Monastyr' is a stunning convent that captivates visitors with its serene beauty and rich history. During my visit in September 2020, I felt an uplifting sense of inspiration as I wandered through its flower-filled grounds. The monastery's origins trace back to Prince Andrey Bogolyubsky, who was said to have received divine guidance for its establishment.
(Translated by Google) It is believed that the history of the Holy Bogolyubsky Convent began during the time of Prince Andrey Bogolyubsky, or rather, after his death, although there is not a single temple from those times on the territory of the monastery. From the 12th century, only a fragment of the princely chambers has survived - the only fragment of a civil building of pre-Mongol Rus' in Russia. The existence of the monastery has been documented since the end of the 17th century. During the Soviet period, the monastery did not operate, but began to be revived in the last decade of the 20th century. Nowadays both the monastery churches and the territory of the monastery look quite decent. A walk through the monastery will certainly be a pleasure.

(Translated by Google) A couple of years ago, on the way to the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl, we noticed this monastery (it opens well from the bridge over the railway). This year we stopped by. In fact, it is the western outskirts of Vladimir. Nearby, close to the monastery, there is a very busy and very noisy highway M7 (E22) or the Volga highway. There is nowhere to park. We and a couple of cars sat down just outside the gate to the monastery. The gate is right behind the church bench. The holy gates with the temple and bell tower are tightly closed. A very small, beautifully landscaped area, but very crowded. The proximity of Vladimir, Suzdal, etc. has an effect. There is a lot to see in the monastery, but every step costs money. And only for cash, for which you have to cross the highway to cash out the card. Transfers are not accepted. Moreover, even just the mention of gadgets causes an explosion of indignation and some kind of primitive anger (money for some reason does not cause such anger). As a result, the wife was cheated out of more than ten thousand rubles in a shop inside the Cathedral, and she didn’t even really understand what she paid for... I had to visit a lot of monasteries, including women’s ones, including strict ones. But here this severity is brought to some kind of absurdity and is softened (for a short time) only for money. I did not feel the grace of the Lord within these walls.

The Suzdal Kremlin is a historic site dating back to the 10th century, featuring a 13th-century cathedral with distinctive blue domes. This UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of the fortified town enclosed by a single wall, housing notable structures such as the Bishops Court, Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, bell tower, and Church of St. Nicholas from Glotovo village.
It's a beautiful countryside. Its the must see places of Suzdal. Take a walk to Kremlin we walked on a frozen lake on our way. We took 60 roubles ticket to roam around the area and took pictures.

Well preserved heritage site. Walking through the bridge on iced river was an experience. The meeting hall inside was an experience in itself. Was thrilled to see India in a old map kept there. This place should be even more beautiful in summer. The guide was very helpful and describing everything patiently.

As a bonus when we were there we saw a bridal party taking pictures ! We loved sitting outside in the chairs that are in the grassy area and just enjoying. If you climb the small berm, you will see the wooden bridge and be rewarded with a special view of Suzdal.

Nice place with beautiful views and landscapes! Here are some museums and places for rest. It's possible to take sunshowers, free chaise-longues available. Take half an hour just for walk or about two hours in case of visiting museums for this Kremlin.

Museum inside Kremlin is worth visiting and also the church so i suggest buying ticket also to the buildings inside the Kremlin. You can also buy ticket just to the Kremlin area if youbare not interested in museums.

A picturesque monastery by the side of a small river. The architecture is beautiful and the whole place is well maintained. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Outside Moscow if you would like to have a real Russian experience this city is highly recommended. Traffic is heavy on weekends it took almost 5 hours to get there from Moscow centre on Saturday morning. Lots of areas for walks and green space for children to play.

Suzdal must visit. We did it in one day trip from Moscow. It is enough. We took fast train 7:15 morning and back 20:15 to/from Vladimir. From Vladimir taking local bus 159 from Autostation to Suzdal. Every 30 min. This is most picturized Russian town not destroyed by Soviet architecture and old industry. Like Russia 200 or 800 years ago. A lot of history and a lot to see.

Incredible pleasant visit. If you've only time for one thing in Suzdal, this is the place. Pleasant grounds, amazing exhibits, although almost no explanations are in English. However, with even rudimentary understanding of Cyrillic, the non-Russian speakers can get the gist by visuals and reading dates. We visited on a late winter day with lovely snow and darkness. Exhibit rooms are very warm. We spent a perhaps two hours. Grounds are peaceful.

This monastery in the city of Suzdal is a gem of Russian history and culture. Every hour they have a bell ringing. And it's not just a few bells, it's a whole ensemble. You can also walk up the walls. A certain part is open for tourists. Inside they have an authentic monastery herb garden. And in the cafe near the entrance they'll offer you an herb tea from these same herbs.

The Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasant Life, known as Muzey Derevyannogo Zodchestva I Krest'yanskogo Byta in Suzdal, Russia, provides an immersive experience into the traditional lives of Russian peasants. The open-air museum features well-preserved wooden structures such as log houses, windmills, and churches dating back to the 18th century.
On our one day tour of what is termed the Golden Ring out of Moscow which offers three villages each of historical interest. This on in Suzsal is the Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasant Life which is an open-air museum that offers a fascinating glimpse into traditional Russian village life. It has about 20 Historical Buildings which are very well preserved from the 18th and 19th centuries, including houses, churches, windmills, and barns. These structures were relocated from various villages in the Vladimir Oblast to preserve their historical and cultural significance. The Peasant Life Exhibits showcases the daily life of Russian peasants, with exhibits featuring rustic clothing, dishware, furniture, and tools. We got a good idea of how families lived, worked, and worshipped in the past.

interesting museum. You can see the way of life of the kings. The truth I will not say that I have not seen this before. In the village of my grandfather, everything was exactly like that. But many entertainments, performances of remarkable musical collectives, a fashion show of quilted Suzdal sewing, master classes on matryoshka painting, embroidery of napkins, pottery. Sale of handicrafts: gzhel, products from birch bark, quilts, clothing from flax and much more. On this day the film was filmed. Participated in one of the scenes. The weather was good, on the street 28-30 degrees. I recommend to stop here

Pokrovsky Monastery

Shrine
Museums
The Pokrovsky Monastery, a Russian Orthodox religious complex constructed in the 16th century, boasts stunning buildings adorned with golden domes. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, this place exudes an atmosphere of tranquility and inner harmony. The meticulously maintained territory features a charming garden and is bordered by a nearby river. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the monastery's ornate church while also indulging in the highly recommended daily menu crafted by the devoted sisters.
The Intercession (Pokrovsky) Monastery was founded in 1364, but from this initial period, practically nothing was preserved. All that has come down to our days, mainly refers to the first half of the 16th century and a later period, and is associated with dramatic events in the life of the Grand Duke's family – the Moscow prince Basil III. He decided on an unheard violation of church rules – a divorce with his first wife Solomoniya Saburova, who after twenty years of marriage never gave birth to children. She came from an old boyar family of Moscow. During the 1508-1518 Basil III richly equiped the Suzdal Intercession monastery, while seeking a divorce from the church and looking for a future new wife – Pole Elena Glinskaya. In 1625 Solomoniya Saburova was forcibly tonsured into a nun (under the name of Sofia) and exiled to the Intercession Monastery. Since then, the Intercession Monastery has become a place of exile for the disgraced tsarinas and women of noble boyar families. Among its nuns and elders – the daughter and niece of Ivan III, the wife of Prince Vladimir Staritsky – Eupraxia, the wife of Tsarevich Ivan – Evdokia, one of the wives of Ivan the Terrible – Anna Vasilchikova. The last crown princess of the monastery was Evdokia Lopukhina, the wife of Peter I, accused of plotting against the tsar. Here, many aristocratic spiritual prisoners ended their lives. In the monastery were found the burials of representatives of families of Nagies, Gorbaties, Shuiskies and others (more than 20 eminent nuns). In 1934, in the tomb of the Intercession Cathedral, under a small white stone slab (without an inscription), the director of the Suzdal Museum A.D. Varganov had uncovered a children's burial. In the wooden deck, "remnants of semi-decayed silk fabric without bone remains" were found. This burial began to be connected with the rumors that were going on in the 16th century, about the birth at the monastery, allegedly, of Solomoniya's son George, whom she gave to the upbringing to faithful people, having arranged a fictitious burial. In 1650 Solomoniya Saburova was recognized as a saint (Sofia of Suzdal), her tomb, "exuding miracles", attracted pilgrims and enriched the monastery treasury. The monastery received the richest deposits and new landed estates with thousands of serfs. It was visited repeatedly by royalty. The main temple of the monastery and at the same time a tomb for noble nuns was the Intercession (Pokrovsky) Cathedral. It is a majestic three-domed temple in the design of which the decorations of the white-stone Nativity Cathedral of the Suzdal Kremlin were used (arched-columnar belt, lush portals that are clearly visible through the open arcade of the gallery). The interior decoration of the temple was very ascetic: the floor was paved with black ceramic tiles, the walls were not painted. But the magnificent icons and artistic sewing made the interior exquisite. The tented bell tower is connected to the cathedral with the gallery. It is a rare monument of the ancient Russian architecture: its lower two-tiered part, dating back to 1515, was an octagonal pillar-shaped church "under the bells" (i.e. completed with a tier of belfry). The tent of the modern bell tower appeared at the end of the 17th century. The original architecture of the cathedral is repeated in the Holy Gates, built, like other buildings of the monastery, commissioned by Basil III around 1518. It is a four-sided tower with two asymmetrical arched spans over which the gallery and the elegant three-headed gate-church of Annunciation rise. The decorations of the facades of the building resemble carving on wood, giving to its appearance a sincere simplicity and elegance.

Although it is indeed very beautiful, you can't really visit most of it, which is a shame.

Nice monastery but somehow we lacked the good feeling and spirit we found in other monasteries and holy places in Russia. It has a rather cold atmosphere, also the nuns are not very friendly, we found nicer women monasteries than this one.
