(Translated by Google) Madam, open a tea room if the “dirty” tourists that we are bother you… so you can have a chat with your friends and make fun of people as you wish. Sorry for not meeting your mountain princess standards. There isn't just one brand of hiking shoes 🥾 and being in good health doesn't mean that I don't know how to walk or even less find out before a walk. It was very instructive to hear you take us for idiots. And since you are in the judgment and the odious aspect: change your hair color it is disgusting to welcome people on the roundabout. Rest assured, the people of the village are super nice and will better advise and guide you. The area and surroundings are charming, as are the superb steps. Courage. Courage.

La Chapelle Matisse

Mentioned on
3 lists
Chapel
Museums
The Rosary Chapel, also known as the Chapelle du Rosaire, is a stunning landmark located north of the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Designed by Henri Matisse himself, this gleaming white chapel is adorned with blue, green, and yellow stained glass windows that flood the interior with light.
This is a must visit experience. One of Matisse's models in the 1940s decided to become a nun and then reached out to him in the 1950s to tell him that they were going to build a new chapel, in an area he was familiar with because he lived there for a few years . The artist immediately offered his services, and the result is this chapel. The stained glass is simple yet very colorful and interesting. The artist designed the vestments for the clergy. There is a good video that runs about 55 minutes, which should be seen even if it's in French, you can get the idea. The gift shop has a few interesting items that are worth taking home.
Joel D — Google review
This was a wonderful stop on our visit. Parking was a little difficult but worth the walk. There was lots of information about Matisse and the building of the chapel. A great stop to make.
Jeff H — Google review
While it appears Matisse considered this his best work, I was underwhelmed. I liked the stained glass but the rest of the artwork looked like a weird type of subway wall vandalism - black marker sketches on white subway tiles. I appreciate art but this didn’t touch me. I suppose Matisse just isn’t my favorite artist but if you absolutely love him, you may appreciate this anyway.
Dorothea R — Google review
The iconic chapel designed and painted by Henri Matisse (1869-1954). This project was driven by Sister Jacques-Marie (1921-2005), who had worked for Matisse as nurse and model prior to becoming a nun. It was built and decorated between 1947 and 1951. The one disappointment during my visit was that photography inside the chapel is prohibited (but not in the museum). I particularly liked the colorful priest vestments designed by Matisse.
Nils P — Google review
The chapel is of course stunning and simple. It's set at the side of a small road that snakes out of Vence and you have to park on the road if you come by car. There's now an exhibition which leads into the chapel. It's interesting (Matisse's preparatory pencil sketches in particular) but I think slightly spoils the simple transcending beauty of just walking down the stairs into the chapel as you used to be able to do. The altar area is now roped off as well, where you used to be able to wander around freely. If you're a Matisse fan it's absolutely worth seeing, but it's a slightly drier experience now - it feels more like a museum and less like a living place of worship, and for me loses a little in the process.
John S — Google review
Fantastic museum - inspiring presentation of the little-known religious aspect Matisse’s practice. Chapel is worth a visit by itself but the there is some much more inside - drawings, models, and a gift shop. Beautiful views of Vence. Must visit!
Osei B — Google review
A truly delightful gem of a building, designed and decorated by Matisse and which gives insight into his art and ways of working. The stained glass is beautiful, the chapel simple and contemplative, and the accompanying museum highly informative. Don't miss the lovely terrace either. The only downside is parking nearby is very scarce indeed. Better to park in the town and walk, but it will be around a 10 minute walk on the roadside.

Fontaine Peyra

Mentioned on
1 list
Fountain
Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
Fontaine Peyra is a famous landmark in Vence, built in 1822 by architect Etienne Goby. It provided water to the city and its thermal baths during Roman times. The ancient streets of Vence, the medieval castle walls, and the Place de Peyres add to its charm. The fountain symbolizes Vence and distributes water from the Foux. Despite being invaded by restaurant tables at times, it remains a beautiful sight when water flows through it.
The Fontaine Peyra in Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a charming, historic fountain located in the center of the village. As I approached it, the cool, clear water flowing from its stone spout immediately caught my attention, set against the backdrop of the village’s ancient stone buildings. The fountain sits in a quiet square, surrounded by cobblestone streets, providing a peaceful ambiance as it has done for centuries. Its rustic design and the gentle sound of the water offered a perfect spot to pause and take in the beauty of this picturesque Provençal village. The fountain is a true symbol of Saint-Paul-de-Vence’s timeless charm and history.

Jacqueline M — Google review
(Translated by Google) The incredible charm of the ancient streets of Vence, which you never tire of circling, the power of the walls of the medieval castle, the beautiful Place de Peyres, which served as a place of trade, city meetings and punishments (the stones from which its name comes) and which now houses restaurants and shops, an ancient fountain - all this makes an unforgettable impression. But what also impressed me here was the ordinary modern life of modern people in this ancient city. I called it that for myself with admiration: “life in historical settings.” It is not at all surprising that at the end of the 19th century the city became so popular among artists and writers who created their creations here.

DEFINITELY worthwhile! My husband and I spent just over 3 hours admiring all the art inside and outside the gallery and then having a simple lunch outside in the restaurant. It was a wonderful way to spend the day. Whether or not you are an art lover, I think you would enjoy this museum. It's beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the artwork. The outside area is peaceful and has stunning views of the town below too. Food in restaurant was very good. Plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill. Not necessary to speak French to enjoy. Tickets are easily purchased onsite. Nice gift shop too.

Amazing place. Exciting, beautiful, well curated. A must- see. You need 3 hours at least yo enjoy it. There’s a nice restaurant and Bar with art all around in the sculpture garden.
Brian C — Google review
One of the best museums I’ve visited. The architecture itself is really nice , and the sculpture garden is beautiful and relaxing, complete and offers a café for coffee or a bite to eat. The collection is thoughtfully curated. Plan to spend at least three hours to fully enjoy it, and arrive early as it can gets busy after 12.
Tonia I — Google review
Beautiful and monumental spot with stunning form and broad collection of contemporary artists. The architecture is stunning, combined with nature and beautiful view, creates unique and one of the kind atmosphere. It’s also great to sit in the garden cafe house and admire the sculptures around. The prices are quite high but it’s still worth visiting at least once.
Zuzanna S — Google review
My first visit here was in 1990. It was like discovering a rare, precious gem. On my latest visit, 40 years later, the magic and charm continues on... it is without doubt my most favourite art museum anywhere in the world!! The location amongst natural parkland, with glimpses to the sea in the distance, is bomeyond spectacular! Dining on the open terrace, next to the Chagall mural and by the stained glass of the chapel is something not to miss. I will certainly visit again, next time I'm in the south of France.
Julie R — Google review
In my opinion one of the finer museums in the world. Restorative experience amidst the pine trees. Timeless mid century modern architecture with sculpture garden featuring works by Henry Moore, Calder and especially Miro. Impressive collection of 20th century modern art. Plan two hours minimum to enjoy the place. Early morning is nice and quiet, especially in the off-season. If you’re outside on the terrace around 12:00 plus 12:07, you can hear chapel bells ring.
Sven — Google review
A lovely day out from Nice. I had been to the Fondation a number of years ago when, I thought it just ok. But a major extension and renovation in 2022-24 has yielded great results. The gardens were always beautiful. But now the indoor galleries are way more extensive now showing off the beautiful collection. Plus their restaurant is lovely. We had lunch by the fountain. I highly recommend a visit.
George W — Google review
What a brilliant place this is! We had a beautiful lunch to begin with, in the courtyard overlooking sculptures in the garden. We then meandered through the exhibitions and out around the grounds. I was a perfect interlude as we headed up through the mountains.

Les Gorges du Loup is a beautiful canyon carved by the Loup (French for wolf) river flowing down the Alps. There is a wonderful hiking trail taking you up the canyon to the picturesque village of Gourdon - some say it is the most beautiful in France - like an eagle nest dominating the valley beneath. Up there enjoy the spectacular view spaning southwards to the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean. On a clear day the snowy summits of the island of Corsica (240 km away) are in sight if you look to the south. A narrow road connects the tranquility of the wild, rugged and under-appreciated back-country from the village down to the overcrowded touristy coast.

A small criticism for dog owners who let their pets do their poop on the spot, along the path, as for those who throw it on the ground, better still who hang the little black one with the droppings inside, instead of throwing it in a bin. I was quite sceptic about this aquarium but after visiting I am absolutely excited! It is interesting idea that you not just walk here and there but walk from one show to another. I really saw,how the trainers love their animals, kiss and hug them and I don't think they lie about their feelings. I have cried all the time of the visit)) So one can teach and show how we should care about animals without clueing itself to the road... The deal with food included worth it too. And the Fotos at the beginning were perfect! Love you guys, you are super!stunning!perfect! Thank you!!!

it is a nice park. my kids enjoyed it a lot. the only con was that the presentations at the begining of the shows were very long (starting in french, then switching to english at the end) for my kids taste. Compared to Loro Parque in Tenerife it still needs more entertainment.

Lovely place to spend time with your kids and to enjoy some awesome shows: eared seals, dolphins and orcas. First time visiting this place and I will definitely come back again.

Unfortunately disappointed... Nothing to see other than the shows. I would have expected to see an aquarium or at least a bit more activities for the amount of money paid. Social Distancing is virtually NON existent, not from the organisers, but by the people and the organisers are not following up or enforcing the covid19 rule... even masks wearing is not respected...

Visiting Entrevaux feels like exploring Minas Tirith from “The Lord of the Rings”! Winding, narrow, cobbled streets. Arched gateways and hidden squares. Staircases that spiral up into the shadowed heights. And towering over it all the Citadel. A magical place to wander around for a few hours.

Cath R — Google review
Quaint medieval town - tough climb up to the citadel but its worth it for the panoramic views of the town and the surrounding area.
Sam H — Google review
A stiff walk from the town is very worthwhile . This fortress, typical of Vauban, is definitely a must visit when in Provence. The history dates from 1690 when it was built to the beginning of the twentieth century when it was used in WW1 to house German POWs. The views are also exceptional and worth the climb just for the scenery.

A very nice place to visit, it was super nice to take a ferry from Golf Juan and come. We were with a small kid and it was all great, we were walking around the island, but what we did not expect is that we should have made a reservation for lunch (we bought sandwiches which were also super tasty and fresh). The only thing is that beach is not equipped at all, nowhere to lay, no changing cabins, no showers.

(Translated by Google) I had the opportunity to spend a day on Sainte-Marguerite Island. There were very few people and the weather was beautiful during the month of May 2023. The island is very clean, with little human presence compared to the many visitors it must welcome, which is very pleasant. The landscapes are magnificent (the photos speak for themselves). Île Sainte-Marguerite is a charming small island located just a ferry ride away from Cannes. It boasts beautiful beaches and an ancient fort, offering stunning views of the French Riviera. The island is also home to La Guerite, a renowned establishment since 1902, where visitors can enjoy exquisite dining experiences surrounded by lush Aleppo pine and eucalyptus trees.
A great one-day trip destination. A stroll around the island will take you a couple of hours. Highly recommended it outside of high tourist season.

Very nice beaches and if you like to walk around the whole island you will find some very nice spots. Food in one of the two places available was very good.

Pretty place, expect lots of hiking. There are loads of small beaches but they get busy really quickly, I spent the whole day there but I reckon 4/5 hours would be more than enough.
Cassandra — Google review
Beautiful island for a day trip or half day trip. Easy to get the 15 minute ferry from Cannes. There are nice walks around the island and beautiful swimming spots with crystal clear waters. Perfect place to take a picnic, relax and enjoy the views. There are a couple of food vendors for snacks and drinks. Also check out the diving / snorkeling spot with underwater statues. The area is on the opposite side of the island to the boat port. Cool experience, swimming out to find the 6 underwater statues/sculptures.

Île Sainte Marguerite is a fifteen-minute boat ride from Cannes. You can pick up your tickets directly on the quayside. The crossing is rather quiet. The island also depends on whether it's high or low season. It's clean and the landscape is well preserved. The boats come and go frequently. And the average return fare is less than €20, depending on whether you buy online or in the stalls. Buying on the spot seems cheaper.
Chérie A — Google review
Île Sainte-Marguerite is a natural temple, breathtaking and unique. Unfortunately, some people ruin it by parking their boats just 10 meters from the shore — something both illegal and dangerous, for swimmers and for the fragile marine environment. I expected to see the coast guard enforcing the rules, but this is Cannes: if you’re wealthy, it seems you can do whatever you want, and the local administration turns a blind eye. Sadly, the damage is already visible — much of the underwater algae is dead. A paradise like this deserves real protection, not neglect.

A beautiful and peaceful island near Cannes, known for its crystal-clear beaches and stunning sea views. Easily accessible by ferry, it’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy both nature and history. Highly recommended! 🌊🌿
Our_Discoveries5 — Google review
I visited Île Sainte-Marguerite during my trip to Cannes, and it was such a peaceful and refreshing experience. The island is surrounded by crystal-clear blue water and has beautiful walking trails through pine trees. You can visit the old fort, enjoy the sea views, or simply sit and relax by the shore. It’s quiet, clean, and perfect for nature lovers. There are limited food options, so it’s good to carry some water and snacks. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a calm and scenic escape from the city!

Île Saint-Honorat is a picturesque island in the Lérins group, known for its 15th-century fortified Cistercian monastery. The island is covered with vineyards and is home to some of France's last winemaking monks. Visitors can taste and purchase award-winning wines at a special degustation room and enjoy a meal at a high-quality restaurant.
This place is a short cruise trip from Cannes. Boats start leaving from 10 am in morning and last from the island is around 430 pm, never miss it. You can spend a whole day exploring this small but beautiful island. There are multiple small beaches to swim and sun bathe. One of the destination of French Riviera.

Such a beautiful island! I definitely prefer this island to the bigger one. There are a lot less people and have quite a few cute quiet beaches. It takes a couple of hours to walk around the whole island but I definitely think you can make a whole day of it if you relax by the beach and then go sightseeing.

Beautiful, quiet, secluded island with a monastery and vineyards. Like l’île Sainte-Marguerite, it is only accessible by ferry. There is a lovely, short walk around the island, and a nice restaurant overlooking the water.

We began with the boat trip which was lovely. Staff were very pleasant and it was good value for money. The island is beautiful and well worth a visit. The highlight for us was to be able to join the monastic community for Mass on Palm Sunday - quite a special day to visit with a lovely procession carrying palms through the cloisters. . The singing was profound and added to the spirituality of the place. The aroma of the scented incense added to the beauty of the Liturgy. After Mass we toured the island which is very historical and interesting. We ate our packed lunches at a picturesque spot at the edge of the Mediterranean sea. Our return boat trip was just as pleasant as the initial journey. Thanks to the Community for a truly inspirational and enjoyable day. Would love to return some time 🙂🙏

Beautiful little island with a monastery but don't plan a day for it. We were there for an hour and a half and that's enough. There's nothing to see other than the monastery and a bit of a walk around. It's definitely worth a visit but not a day trip.
Sukanya A — Google review
Beautiful little island, but in winter you better be organised for lunch cause everything is closed and in the only shop that's available (the Abbey shop) there is no food and the lady is very very rude ( I think she hates tourists). Everything is really beautiful though.

Short cruise from Cannes, great views, cute little island, you can walk all around it in like 2 hours. Nature blooming, cicadas playing, nice old monastery (with monks living in it still), a lot of hidden little bays where you can walk on the rocks or swim. Nice restaurant La Tonelle, good food and drinks, service ok.

One of the most beautiful cities in Europe that I have visited. It really exudes unusual beauty and romance. The buildings are beautiful and I really like that kind of architecture. Along the coast of Cannes, there are beaches along almost the entire length. They are very clean and it is a real pleasure to swim. Lots of restaurants for every taste and pocket. And of course La Croisette! Beautiful! I will be happy to visit Cannes again!

Popularly known as Palais des Festivals et des Congres", La Croisette is about 22 km long promenade in Cannes along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea where the Cannes Film Festival is held. There is a sidewalk with hotels, casinos, brand stores, a rose garden and places with lots of shady trees where families meet and spend their quality time. There are interesting places around this place to stroll and explore. If you are falling short of time or do not have energy for a walk, then one can enjoy a small touristic city train tour to explore the nearby area. The place is dynamic with lots of hustle bustle of the tourists and locals. The evening sunsets and the night illuminations and combined with festive fireworks make this place truly romantic and mesmerizing. A must to visit when you are in France.

Grotte de Saint Cézaire

Mentioned on

Natural history museum
Nature & Parks
Grotte de Saint Cézaire is a stunning cave system filled with intricate stalagmites and stalactites, offering guided tours that showcase its celebrated cave, dolmens, and barrows. The 40-minute exploration of this underground world provides a glimpse into its Roman and medieval past. The tour is informative and suitable for all ages, with the temperature inside remaining constant at 15 degrees Celsius throughout the year.
This is such a cool (both in vibes and temperature!) place to visit if you're within a 90-120 minute drive, especially since the Grotte in Monaco was/is closed. The drop from 37°C to around 17°C as you descend deeper into the caves brings instant relief and calm, particularly on a sweltering Summer or early Autumn day. The way the lighting gently illuminates the stalactites and stalagmites really enhances the beauty of these ancient formations. The rock formations look like something out of a fantasy world, with jagged, towering stalagmites rising from the ground and delicate stalactites hanging like icicles from the ceiling. The ambient lighting also makes the cave feel more expansive and reduces any potential feelings of claustrophobia by adding depth and dimension to the space—though I personally can’t vouch for this as I don’t experience it! It's a great spot to visit with friends, your partner, or the kids. Plus, there's a fun little gift shop to explore and a simple but decent restaurant/café just outside for a nice break after your tour.
Philip K — Google review
Home to some interesting underground features, and the guide truly does it justice. Humour, kindness with the kids, a great educational experience! If you're used to caves though this one probably won't fare as the best you've seen. The tour lasts about 40 mins.

We visited on a Sunday in February and it was a great time to go. Only a handful of people were on the French/English tour. The guide was approx 45 mins while we winded through the cave passages. It was well done, lots of interesting information along the way. Be careful as it can get slippery and there are some low parts that you need to crouch down. Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. 15 degrees no matter what season. A lovely shop at the entrance to purchase souvenirs. Well worth a visit especially for children, it was such a great experience!
Charlene E — Google review
A very nice visit with a great and knowledgeable guide who spoke both french and english. Didnt buy tickets in advance but if you plan to visit that might be advised especially on weekends
Alice P — Google review
Beautiful jewel of an afternoon out. I would suggest trainers for this 40 minute exploration of a grotto to discover a secret underground world. The tour is about 40 minutes and is in groups of around 10. The history of the formations is fascinating and the kids loved it. The Nex door there is an accrobranche zip line facility which the kids would like, but it was raining on our visit. Drive up to St Cezaire is beautiful also and there is free parking on site. Well worth a visit.

This place is amazing! I and my friend had a week long paragliding lessons (beginners) with Olivia (pardon me if I spelt it wrongly) and he was amazing. Though the course was in French, he explained us everything in English too.. every single bit of flaw in my technique was explained in the video analysis session, the technique to glide was broken down with us doing bit by bit everyday. On day one, we did not mnage to pack lunch and our water was very hot to drink. Olivia kindly gave me his pizza and some water to eat and drink. The commands given to us by Olivia when we were in the air was so calm even though we might be doing some mistakes, he didn't panic or even if he did, we didn't know he did. The person that own this place is also very passionate about the sport. He was at the landing guiding everyone of us to land safely after being in air for about 10 mins. He spoke to us after and helped my friend through the scare of heights! He said whiskey works best if I am scared of heights (hahahaha).. I have given a few recommendations to improve management efficiency and more clearer communication. This was taken very well by Philippe and Olivia. Regarding the village, it is such a beautiful place. The mountains, rivers, lakes.. we would go to the river near by after our session almost everyday. The people are also very friendly.

Everything was arranged perfectly and was very clear. It al felt very safe and secure and it was obvious the jumpers were very well trained and had perfect control in the air. This is highly recommended. For my daughters it was the single best highlight of our holiday. Be advised that there are different weight categories. Because of this I could not participate in the same group as my daughters (One group is 15-80 kg and another is 40 kg+)

Barrage de Malpasset is a historical landmark that stands as an impressive testament to the power of nature. The concrete arch dam ruptured in 1959, leading to a catastrophic flood that claimed many lives. The site features massive concrete blocks with reinforced steel beams scattered across the valley. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the dam on foot from the parking lot, and another 10 minutes to continue along the trail towards the lake.
Beautiful surreal landscape and ruins given the tragedy of 1959, well worth a visit, free car park, not many humans there on a Monday morning even though extremely hot

Impressive landmark which shows the sheer power of the water when the dam burst in 1959. Massive concrete blocks with reinforced steel beams are shattered across the valley. From the parking lot it will take you about 20 minutes to reach the dam (walking) and another 10 to continue the trail towards the lake. Don't forget to bring some water, there is not a lot of shade around the trail and summer temperatures can be high.

Affordable way to go to Saint Tropez as a tourist without a car. About 42 EUR for round trip and you get to choose departure date and time. Boats were on time and within an hour you're on location. The only thing is that when the sun is hot, they don't have enough shelter, like a roof when waiting for the boat to arrive and you just wait outside in the burning sun.

Purchased 4 r/t fairs to St Tropez. Missed the 11:30 by a few minutes, waited 2 hours and departed at 1:30, arriving at 2:30. I Asked the lovely man named Ludwig about the 5:30 return and he looked at our tickets and said, you leave in 1 hour. The lady at the desk never asked what time we wanted to return. 1 hour for €42 was never the plan. He said he would call and we would get a refund. We arrived back, spoke to the same woman that sold is the tickets and said she had informed us it was for 1 hour. I said we didn’t have time for even a gelato, we had beach bags, swimsuits etc…and that no one called her from the ferry. . They were ride, uncompromising and basically said to write to the website. What a horrible disappointment and disaster of an afternoon not to mention $200 USD for nothing.

A beautiful charming medium size boat, staff is very helpful. You will experience long wait in line without any short message or information, will be great a short announcement to satisfy the waiting travellers.

Really easy experience with this company getting to and from St Tropez. The staff was pleasant, and the process was fairly easy. I also appreciated how responsive the team was via electronic communication with my questions. A one way (as I was staying two nights) is a bit more complicated as you can only reserve the one way there. You must buy the second one way on the boat on the way back. I think there is a way to allow for this all at the time of initial reservation personally. Of note, the drop off in St Tropez is at the newer port, not the old one, which is a SLIGHTLY farther walk for those with luggage.

Nice park, with a lot of different attractions, for children as well for adults. We enjoyed it. The attraction cost is from 5 to 7€ for a ride per person, only the Skyrider is 30€ for a ride/person. I really liked the magic mountain rollercoaster. I bought several tickets. It was not crowded like in other amusement parks. we were there around 22.30. The food was really good, I ate a kebab. Car parking and entrance are free.

We. Old get on all the rides quickly and the kids loved it. Make sure you have the discount ride tickets from super markets or travel office. Around 5 euros a ride which isn’t crazy. Worth a visit for sure

This is ok bring plenty of cash. Lots of prize games to play and some good rides. The catapult and human pipeline is probably the highlight. Plenty of food stalls around if your looking for somewhere to eat. Some of the rides were not operating when we were there. Not sure why. My 7yr old twin boys enjoyed it

Adorable – negative reviews reflect people’s (may be skewed )perceptions of what a habitat should be. So, no the African animals did not have a sprawling savanna to gambol about in, but they seemed healthy and well fed enough. The little farm/petting zoo area replete with goats was a big hit for our disabled son and so many of the kids who seemed to be enjoying it so much. This was also small enough that you can have a nice time in a few hours not feeling terribly worn out. We opted for an annual membership!

This place is a lot bigger and nicer compared to what is was like 35 years ago. We went on a Sunday in August and there were lots of people. It was nice for me to see how much this place has evolved over the years (in a positive direction.)

It was a great place to visit. We ware there in the beginning of the evening and there is a big carpark. At 20:00 they open and have great security. We already ate but it was a pitty because the food they serve smelled amazing! Its a nice place to go, we and the kids had great fun!

Pretty good place, bit rough and ready and the bouncy castles are quite rough material to slide in and definitely give you a burn!!worst thing though is definitely the mosquitos, very bad here for some reason....still worth going to and the Finland for a tenner for smaller kids is good value
Alaric C — Google review
I visited Luna Park Fréjus last night with my family, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience — particularly at the caisse centrale where we purchased bracelets for the kids and tokens for the games. While the lady at the counter was friendly and welcoming to the customers before us, her behavior toward us was quite the opposite. She gave us a cold, disrespectful look and spoke in a very dismissive tone. It felt like we were being treated differently, possibly because of our ethnicity and the fact that we don’t speak French very well. What hurt us the most was hearing her mock us to another Luna Park staff member in the cashier after we had completed our purchase and walked away. This was not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful. We came to enjoy a fun family evening, but instead we left feeling judged and humiliated. I truly hope the park management takes this seriously — everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, no matter where they come from or what language they speak

Excellent waterpark - one of the better ones we have visited in Europe. Not too big or small and plenty 9f variety in the slides and pools. Food is outrageously expensive - €4.10 for one bottle of coke. Bring your own food and you will be fine.
Bruce W — Google review
Good park, very busy, we went on a Thursday in summer. Slides are nice, but only 2 are really awesome. Long queues, so fast pass is almost needed an day like this. We brought our own food, it's allowed, decently priced drinks.
Pieter T — Google review
The park is nice. Enough parking lots, well maintained, slides are OK, queues are reasonable without fast pass (except two biggest ones). My three kids had a happy times there. But the attitude is terrible. Half an hour before closure security guards are pushing you to leave faster, very few staff speaks English or any other language. And my favourite - I have paid 150+ euros for 5 entry tickets and one lunch (euro 15). The food court that serves prepaid food was closed at 15:10 when I went there to get my lunch. No signes, nothing. Other food courts didn’t accept my QR code. I wrote an email to them afterwards and got a response that this food courts works between 11 and 15:30 that was never mentioned at the time of purchasing the tickets. They behave very cheap by declining my request to make a return of 15 euros. Cheap crooks in OK water park :(
Yevgeniy S — Google review
Great park. Super nice during end of season once the kids were back to school, as there were zero lines. Only complaint is they nickel and dime you at every opportunity. Parking: £4…Locker: £7 Beach chair: £4. My 5 year olds were just a few inches short to ride any of the slides, but there were 2 kiddy parks, a lazy river and a large pool they could use which was enough for them. Will definitely come back.
Justin L — Google review
Good waterpark, the kids had a great time all day and we felt they were safe. We hired the sun-loungers in the VIP area for €40 and it was worth the money. Longest wait for a ride was 1 hour and we didnt bother with fast passes as they were very expensive. Family of 6.
James H — Google review
Been there many times before. Some queuing always happened but this year was the worst ever! We were able to go on three rides in an entire day of being there and queued for hours. It works out at €10 per ride unless you are prepared to pay the extortionate extra of€30 per person for a fast pass. This would bring the entry cost per person to €57. That is too steep and just reeks of greediness. The introduction of the ‘fast pass’ has lead to excessive wait times and is just another sign of how big corporations exploit people. We will certainly never return after this disaster of a day.
S G — Google review
Bigger and better rides than the nearby St Maxime site. (which was our first choice when taking children under 10. The Frejus site is now our first choice as the kids are old enough to go off by themselves. The kids love it, we now go every year. Food and Drink is expensive though, we normally pack drinks and sandwiches which they are happy to let in. There does seem to be an issue with hard case cool boxes, we’ve never had an issue with material cool boxes.
Steven O — Google review
Get the fast pass! You'll regret it other wise. The two main rides (Vertigo and the Serpent) are very popular and you'll have to wait for 1-2 hours in line. Other than that all the rides are great!

(Translated by Google) A few days of training to validate my APPI level 5, and after 17 years of experience and various schools, I can say that Stéphane is a very good teacher, passionate about teaching. He spends neither hours nor kilometers in a 4x4 to find the right spot and help his students progress by sharing his passion with them. He knows the area very well and knows how to choose the right site based on the weather conditions and each student's level. The school is well-equipped and everything is designed for teaching; it's not a two-seater factory like some other schools. In short: a school I'll happily return to. We visited Friday 22nd August and went to the naturist section which there are 2 off both are a right mix of n7de and textiles which is fine, but what really put us off was the people with dogs who did not lift the poos they just left them or even worse covered it with sand.

One of the best beaches in the Saint Tropez / Ramatuelle area. Just stunningly, but busy.
Paul D — Google review
It is a nice beach but beware bring water and anything else you may need. We had a reservation at Nikki Beach but before that all of the ‘beach clubs’ won’t really even let you buy water or a drink, and renting chairs at them is very expensive.
Burt H — Google review
Superb beach - totally clean water, nice waves, easy to walk in and all of the services you may need: ample parking (8 hours for roughly 20€, 30 min free), life savers services along the beach, an ice man running by with a cart and several clubs where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas plus have expensive lunches. Awesome place.

The beach Pampelonne Beach I visited today was absolutely splendid. The azure waters of the ocean were crystal clear and full of life. The pristine shores were immaculate, and the velvety sand felt luxurious under my feet. Not a single rock could be found anywhere, enhancing the beach's allure. I highly recommend this beach as a must-visit destination.

Nestled between the stunning Cap Camarat and Cap Taillat, Plage de l'Escalet is a picturesque haven featuring a series of three beaches that seamlessly blend sand and pebbles. Each beach is separated by charming rounded rocks, creating an intimate atmosphere. The closest beach to the parking area tends to attract crowds during peak summer months; however, those willing to explore further around the bay will find more tranquil spots.
Too Little spot, getting packed quickly, but possible To hike around and find another spot either in rocks or in small places between cliffs. Perfect possibility of hiking and swimming) dogs allowed, which is awesome 🙌

Came in afternoon. Was very lucky to score a parking spot as the place was packed! Beach crowded and quite rocky to get to. Showers are not working. Water was clear and relaxing. Not much to see if snorkelling around the rock faces.
Jeff P — Google review
Best beach in the area. Free, shallow, very convenient to get to, if you want to park tho, get there early. we walked and the hill back out is a 7% so be warned. Lots of families with small kids, dogs are allowed but only on leads and there is no shade so it’s a bit cruel to bring them here. 2 snack vans and ice cream seller. Only thing that spoilt it on this trip was groups of local teenagers dropping rubbish but unfortunately that happens everywhere I guess, some people just can’t appreciate how beautiful where they live is.

Additionally, there is a dinosaur-themed mini-golf course and a family-friendly restaurant called The Rotisserie that serves homemade dishes in a relaxed setting.
This was really good. We went on Saturday night. There was nearly no waiting on any of the rides. We had a fun pass and went on 12 rides. Would recommend.

Visited on a recent family holiday with 2 kids (8 and 10). On first arrival we were impressed by the size and classic carnival atmosphere but in the end what we really liked was that there are rides and attractions for all ages and levels of courage. There are lovely kids rides (think tiny trains and carousel type) and many, many grades between that and the 'proper' thrill seeker rides. OK, it's not gonna be a cheap visit but the prices are typical for this sort of thing. It's cash only but there is an ATM on site. People who knew that they were doing, purchased park passes. That might be worth researching in advance. On our visit we found the staff to pretty friendly and we saw some instances of staff who were really good with kids who were upset or who required additional support.

We visited Azur Park yesterday and had a fantastic time! The park overall is great — there’s a fun atmosphere, a good variety of attractions, and something for everyone to enjoy. However, there was one major downside: the King Coaster. It was absolutely horrifying — not in a thrilling way, but in a very unpleasant one. The ride was extremely shaky from start to finish, and by the end, we had a headache from all the jolting. I even lost one of my earrings during the ride! We definitely do not recommend this particular coaster. If you're new to roller coasters, please avoid this one — it might ruin the experience for you completely. After riding the King Coaster, you might never want to try another coaster again!

Gigaro Beach is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean. This sandy beach is located just south of St Tropez, and lifeguards are always on patrol to ensure safety for visitors. The calm waters make it a great spot for swimming, snorkelling, or simply taking in the natural beauty of the area. There are also several restaurants and shops nearby if you need some refreshment or supplies.
Our favorite beach in the region! Quiet in the morning but even if crowded in the afternoon it’s a chilled crowd, good for families or people who just wanna enjoy the serene beauty of this beach and the amazing water. There are public toilets and paid parking right behind the beach. A spar and some food stalls around.

Finding this beach by car was easy, and with a bit of patience, we always found parking. Bring your own sunbed and something for shade to stay comfortable. It’s a fantastic beach for families with kids. We enjoyed visiting multiple times during our holiday, exploring different spots to swim.
Cenk G — Google review
After 20 years away we returned to Gigaro and we were not disappointed. It's not your normal sandy beach but it is all the better for it. The quick drop off into waist deep water filled with rocks and seaweed give an abundance of fish and sea life as soon as you step into the water. Take something comfortable to sit on and you could spend all day here with ease. We have always loved to eat at Popeye's near the Spar and we're delighted to see it is still there. The menu has changed somewhat in 20 years but it was still excellent and well worth a visit. 5 stars is not enough but all I can give along with my greatest endorsement.

I love the Gigaro Beach. In winter it’s a perfect spot for walking on the beach and looking for nice cobbles. In summer you can sunbath on the beach or on the rocks, which is lovely.
