Le Sentier du Littoral in Cap d’Antibes is an absolutely amazing coastal path, taking about two hours to complete. Be prepared because much of the walk is right by the sea, and you might find yourself in your bathing suit, which can be a little tricky and uncomfortable at times. But trust me, it’s totally worth it. The views are simply breathtaking: endless shades of blue, dramatic cliffs plunging into the sea, and wild, untouched nature all around you. Every turn reveals a new postcard-perfect scene that makes you want to stop and take it all in. I truly left a piece of my heart on that path. It’s one of those rare places where you feel completely connected to nature and the beauty of the world. Truly wonderful, and a must for anyone visiting the area.

2025-August: renovation on the ‘white’ segment: The usual ‘Loop ‘ is currently interrupted at the (baie des milliardaire) so the ‘white’ segment is only 400n long. Which leaves a good 1h40 of breathtaking hike. From the (phage de la Garoupe Beach) to the (Chemin des Douaniers - Chemin de la Croé)? The hike ends on s pebble beach.

This was a gorgeous *HIKE* (and I’m emphasizing hike because I think so many people who come here think this is a walk to beaches). Be sure to bring sturdy shoes, water, sunscreen and snacks; then be prepared to carry it all back out. We thoroughly enjoyed our hike along this section of Le Sentier du Littoral. A large portion of the hike is through jagged and uneven rocks, so I would not recommend this trail for those who have poor balance. The swimming was great, and we wish we brought a snorkel and goggles with us! The water is crystal clear, the foliage is gorgeous, and we saw lots of marine and wildlife. There were not beaches, but rather accessible rocky outcrops that had stairs carved in that lead to accessible points to swim at. I would highly recommend this route for your visit to Antibes!

This is a lovely walk, taking you all around the edge of the Cap. You will need shoes with a good grip, and a bag with some fluids, sun screen.

Amazing hike around the cape, beautiful views, multiple amazing stops for a picnic, and several great swimming areas as long as the sea cooperates. I took the train from Nice to Antibes, then took bus #2 to the fontain bus stop. Pack a lunch, make sure you bring towel and swim suit, and enjoy an amazing hike.

Beautiful moderate hike on the coast of Natives. We started at Billionares Bay - get the Bus 82 from Antibes station and get off at Fontaine then walk the road down to the beach. Swim for a bit then start your hike. The path is pretty straightforward but I used the All Trails app for accuracy which was good. Hike took just over an hour and we ended at Plage Garoupe which is a small sandy beach before walking back to the bus stop to Antibes station. Yes there are a lot of stones at a certain part so good/sturdy shoes are recommended. However I did it in water shoes and saw some others do it in flip flops so we could jump into the clear blue water along the hike and dry off as you continue walking due to the hot sun. Just take it slow on the rocks if you’re not wearing appropriate footing. Would definitely recommend this hike but take water and snacks as you will get tired and sweaty.

An amazingly beautiful place. Can tranquilize the most upset and volatile mind. Even the sun wasn't out and it was drizzling, but the beauty of the sea against the rocks and so close can't be compared. You can keep your swimming wear close as there are a couple of places where you can take a dip, but most of the places you gotta be careful. However, I wish I could live here forever.

As a lover of art, I travelled far to witness the amazing art museum of the great artist Pablo Picasso. I was not disappointed as it not only offered to view his work and other artists, it also had magnificent views of the mediteranean sea in the old town of Antibes, at the Château Grimaldi. Warning to those who don't like heights and lots of steps, my knees had quite a bit of a challenge.

We visited the Picasso Museum in Antibes during busy July and only waited about 15 minutes outside. No need to buy the tickets in advance. A friendly staff lady kept us cool with cold water mist and made us laugh with her French jokes. The museum sits right by the beach next to the Antibes cathedral, offering gorgeous views from every window. The highlight for me was Picasso’s cool collection of pottery plates, which felt very alive. The museum also showcases a diverse mix of local contemporary artists and abstract expressionists from Picasso’s time. We spent about two relaxed hours there; inspiring for any artist . Come and see it for yourself, wear sunscreen be openminded and you’ll surely enjoy it!

For me, this is a 3 storey museum with a shop. There's two floors of random artists then the Picasso art is on the top floor and it's very basic to say the least. I spent 12 euros to do this and was in/out in 10 minutes. I'd recommend the Matisse museum in Nice moreso than this. If you queue up at 2pm, you can buy a ticket from the tourist office for a queue jump for €15. Otherwise you could be queuing up for 30-45 minutes for a quick experience.

A must see in Antibes but perfectly doable in an hour. Small museum with Picasso works on the top floor and a terrace with sculptures. Expect to queue but it went fairly quickly. Centrally placed so perfect to add into a day trip.

A must-visit for art lovers, especially if you’re a fan of Picasso. The Musée Picasso in Antibes is set inside the historic Château Grimaldi, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. It’s a relatively small museum, but it holds a focused and powerful collection of Picasso’s work created during his stay here after World War II. Some of the pieces were made using recycled materials, due to the scarcity of supplies at the time, which adds a layer of depth and historical context. The sculpture terrace is a highlight, with expressive works displayed against a beautiful sea backdrop. You’ll also find other artists represented, including contemporary works that add variety to the experience. The layout is clean and well-organized, and the building itself is full of character. That said, there are a few downsides. The museum was extremely hot during our visit, with little to no air conditioning, even though it was 34°C outside. It made the experience uncomfortable and rushed, which is unfortunate for a cultural space where people want to take their time. In the summer, you may also have to queue outside in full sun, sometimes for more than 30 minutes, which could be better managed. Staff are friendly, the space is accessible with elevators, and the facilities were clean. At €12 per ticket, it’s well priced for what you get. Despite the heat and the wait, the museum is a gem for anyone interested in Picasso’s work, art history, or simply exploring something unique in a stunning location. With a few improvements, this could easily be a five-star experience.

Well-Presented Museum but Needs Better Multilingual Support Accessibility & Location: Musée Picasso is conveniently located and easy to access, whether by public transport or on foot. The surrounding area is clean, safe, and well-kept, making the approach pleasant for all visitors. Signage was clear, entrances and exits were easy to find, and the pathways were manageable even for families, elderly visitors, or children. Entry & Organization: The ticketing process was smooth and efficient, and security checks moved quickly without delays. Staff at the entrance were polite and welcoming, ensuring a stress-free start to the visit. It was unclear whether maps or printed information were provided, but the overall organization of the museum was solid and visitor-friendly. Ambience & Presentation: The atmosphere inside was calm and enjoyable. The lighting and layout enhanced the artwork, creating a clear flow through the exhibits. The museum was spotless, with all spaces well-maintained and free of clutter or damage. Temperature and crowd control were well-managed, and visitors could comfortably view works without feeling rushed. The historic architecture complemented the modern art beautifully, adding to the visual and emotional experience. Exhibits / Features / Attractions: The exhibits were impressive and well-presented, showcasing Picasso’s artistic range. However, explanations for paintings were primarily in French, which made it difficult for non-French-speaking visitors to fully appreciate the context and detail of each piece. Considering France’s international tourism appeal, adding English translations (or at least bilingual summaries) would significantly enhance accessibility. The collection itself was strong but not particularly unique compared to other major Picasso museums. Photography was allowed and managed respectfully by staff. Staff & Visitor Support: Staff were visible throughout the museum and available to assist when needed. Facilities such as restrooms and shop were clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable visit. Value & Experience: The museum offered good value for the price of admission. The experience was enjoyable, educational, and worth the time spent. While the lack of English descriptions limited full engagement, the overall visit remained rewarding for anyone interested in Picasso’s art. ⭐ 4 / 5

The Musée Picasso in Antibes is a treasure where art and landscape merge seamlessly. Wow! Absolutely amazing. The staff really interact with the animals and all the animals are so close to where you stand it's amazing to see them. Would highly recommend a visit.

Sadly this park is closing at the end of the year. We visited 2 weeks ago. Absolutely loved it. Animals are well cared for and are being relocated. Go and visit. You won’t regret it. Amazing place.

To visit the entire park with all attractions takes around 5 hours. But do not rush, the animals at this place are very unique and artistic. The environment is very animal friendly. Decorations are comprehensive and very close to the nature ones.

I was quite sceptic about this aquarium but after visiting I am absolutely excited! It is interesting idea that you not just walk here and there but walk from one show to another. I really saw,how the trainers love their animals, kiss and hug them and I don't think they lie about their feelings. I have cried all the time of the visit)) So one can teach and show how we should care about animals without clueing itself to the road... The deal with food included worth it too. And the Fotos at the beginning were perfect! Love you guys, you are super!stunning!perfect! Thank you!!!

it is a nice park. my kids enjoyed it a lot. the only con was that the presentations at the begining of the shows were very long (starting in french, then switching to english at the end) for my kids taste. Compared to Loro Parque in Tenerife it still needs more entertainment.

Lovely place to spend time with your kids and to enjoy some awesome shows: eared seals, dolphins and orcas. First time visiting this place and I will definitely come back again.

Unfortunately disappointed... Nothing to see other than the shows. I would have expected to see an aquarium or at least a bit more activities for the amount of money paid. Social Distancing is virtually NON existent, not from the organisers, but by the people and the organisers are not following up or enforcing the covid19 rule... even masks wearing is not respected...

One of the best museums I’ve visited. The architecture itself is really nice , and the sculpture garden is beautiful and relaxing, complete and offers a café for coffee or a bite to eat. The collection is thoughtfully curated. Plan to spend at least three hours to fully enjoy it, and arrive early as it can gets busy after 12.

Beautiful and monumental spot with stunning form and broad collection of contemporary artists. The architecture is stunning, combined with nature and beautiful view, creates unique and one of the kind atmosphere. It’s also great to sit in the garden cafe house and admire the sculptures around. The prices are quite high but it’s still worth visiting at least once.

My first visit here was in 1990. It was like discovering a rare, precious gem. On my latest visit, 40 years later, the magic and charm continues on... it is without doubt my most favourite art museum anywhere in the world!! The location amongst natural parkland, with glimpses to the sea in the distance, is bomeyond spectacular! Dining on the open terrace, next to the Chagall mural and by the stained glass of the chapel is something not to miss. I will certainly visit again, next time I'm in the south of France.

In my opinion one of the finer museums in the world. Restorative experience amidst the pine trees. Timeless mid century modern architecture with sculpture garden featuring works by Henry Moore, Calder and especially Miro. Impressive collection of 20th century modern art. Plan two hours minimum to enjoy the place. Early morning is nice and quiet, especially in the off-season. If you’re outside on the terrace around 12:00 plus 12:07, you can hear chapel bells ring.

A lovely day out from Nice. I had been to the Fondation a number of years ago when, I thought it just ok. But a major extension and renovation in 2022-24 has yielded great results. The gardens were always beautiful. But now the indoor galleries are way more extensive now showing off the beautiful collection. Plus their restaurant is lovely. We had lunch by the fountain. I highly recommend a visit.

What a brilliant place this is! We had a beautiful lunch to begin with, in the courtyard overlooking sculptures in the garden. We then meandered through the exhibitions and out around the grounds. I was a perfect interlude as we headed up through the mountains.

There’s nothing like witnessing the sunrise during a morning run along the promenade. Ending the run by dipping my feet in the sea and listening to the waves and birds is a truly wonderful way to begin the day. It's a perfect moment of peace and connection with nature!

Great views of the bay and the city. The promenade is apparently over 7 kilometers long and offers lovely views of the water and the city. You can also get a great view of planes taking off to land and coming in at Nice airport! With so much seating available it is a fantastic spot to park up with some takeaway food and watch the world go by. It can be especially pretty at sunset. If you are visiting Nice you will probably walk along here a bunch of times

Wide, wonderful, paved walking path between the town and the sea. Sit in one of the famous blue chairs to watch the waves and the beach scene. It's an enjoyable stroll at any time of day.

Nice is a very beautiful city. I could not have enough of it. The clear blue water and the buildings are just breathe taking. Even from the airplane I could see the blue color of the sea. This city should be seen on feet, walking around is the best to see its beauty. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the long beach. It was difficult to walk with my feet in the water because it was a stone beach not sand one.

Every visitor to Nice must visit here. The sun and beach, this is Mediterranean life.

Very disappointed with the way the carnival was conducted. The place itself was ok but man is there 0 information about what happens on opening night. They say its free for entry and then when you queue up suddenly everyone has tickets. They block the whole view from the sides for the carnival and hold it in a super exclusive staged area. We travelled all the way from UK for this for nothing. If people say we should have bought tickets in advance, its clearly mentioned on the website that its free on opening day and doesn't mention about any tickets!

Lovely area with live music regularly. We found many shops and restaurants in the area. We didn't have a chance to see if uber was well represented here because our hotel was close enough to the water as close enough to Nice Massena that we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Old city is very near. So is the castle hill. Both places I would highly recommend. The beech of course, too! We found it quite easy to communicate as English speakers. We were only in Nice 2.5 days but would happily return to this area!

If you're in the French Riviera, you clearly have to come to Nice and to visit this place. It's always full of people, a lot of places where you can seat. Thanks to the metro it's pretty easy to go there. Also most of the time there are artists which perform music.

The place was simply beautiful. There are lots and lots of services like restaurants, bars opened till night, markets, clothing markets and souvenir markets. The bus servise works also very good all around the city. You can visit a lot of places in the city like Massena square, Garibaldi Square, the old city centre, the castle, the English promenade. There are many things to do and to visit. You must Go there!!!!

One of the nicest parts of Nice I visited (pun intended). I was there during the Fifa women's world cup and Rngland was playing, all the expats were out in force. It was enjoyable.

City centre good for hangout It is well connected by tram, busses and even Nice central train station. This is large square with lots of activities and entertainment. Many shops and restaurants are located alongside this square. Sea beach is on walkable distance.

Lovely place for kids chill out in hot days. Two down point though: locals take dogs for a ride in the middle of kids playing and some others smoking closing by where there are kids around.

Nice’s museum opened by and dedicated to Marc Chagall - primarily consisting of his ‘biblical’ works, and those related to religious themes and tropes. Interesting to see this line of his work compared to some of his other more famous pieces. Not overly big, but interesting for any art lovers.

The Marc Chagall National Museum is located in a primarily residential neighbor situated on the hills of Nice. This museum was inaugurated while Chagall was still alive and it houses several of his paintings as well as explores his famous mosaics. There are tours available on a first come first serve basis. Guillemette, our tour guide, was extremely informative sharing insights into Chagall’s history, his collaborators, and his inspirations. We learned about the process of making mosaics too from creative inception to the actual works. What’s more, there is an outdoor cafe that’s serves sweet and savory, hot and cold snacks and beverages that is also worth checking out. Keep in mind, you will be asked to remove your water bottles and any food that you bring with you so best to avoid bringing them. Recommend bringing very small bag if any at all. Spent a delightful couple of hours at the Marc Chagall museum enjoying his art and the natural surroundings. Highly recommend

Visiting the Chagall Museum in Nice was an absolute delight. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the city, it feels like stepping into a peaceful world filled with color, imagination, and poetry. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by Chagall’s luminous blues and dreamlike scenes that seem to glow from within. What I loved most was how personal and intimate the museum feels — it’s not overwhelming, and you can really take your time with each painting. The biblical message series is breathtaking, and the stained-glass windows add a special light that changes the whole atmosphere. The staff were welcoming, and the small garden outside is perfect for sitting for a few minutes to let everything sink in. It’s one of those places that leaves you both calm and inspired

The Marc Chagall National Museum in Nice, France together with the Matisse Museum were my unexpected finds in a vacation that was just free flowing and no detailed itinerary. At first, I was apprehensive as it was my first time to visit a museum on my own and in another country even. However, I did not regret my decision to forego seeing Cannes in favour of the great works of Chagall and Matisse all in one day! The 75 or so Euros cost of Uber (Holiday Inn Hotel - Matisse Museum - Holiday Inn - Chagall Museum - Hotel) plus tickets in both museums was definitely worth it! The Chagall Museum was inaugurated on July 7, 1973, and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. It houses a large number of artworks donated by Chagall, his wife, and his heirs to the State of France, including the 17 Biblical paintings inspired by the books of Genesis, Exodus and Songs. The museum is located in the Cimiez district with address Av. Dr Ménard, 06000 Nice, France. It stands on a vast plot of land donated by the city of Nice. The entrance to the museum is 10 euros and is opened from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM it closes on Tuesdays. I don’t consider myself as a very artistic person and usually not sure about how to interpret modern art. But in this gallery I did enjoy simply looking at Chagall’s masterpieces and felt a beautiful soul, an innocent mind, and curious attitude toward the world.

Sadly it's in need of upkeep but the art is still spectacular. The fountain around the outside mural is empty. And the museum closes for lunch. And the red room is posed off. You can only view it from it's entrance.

Wonderful place and totally worth the climb! Tip: go in the morning, the sun hits the hill on the other side. You will get better views and will avoid the crowds. Also, if you go in summer, it's way cooler!

Coming here in the rain turned out to be an excellent idea — there were almost no people around, and the views were still amazing. A bunch of viewpoints overlooking the city and the sea, walking trails, waterfalls, parks… it feels like someone was playing a video game and packed everything into one place. A beautiful experience.

The Colline du Château is also known as Castle Hill. It has several ideal lookouts / viewpoints from where you can see the best views of Nice. At the top there is even a terrace with a couple of benches, occasionally with a musician - there was a drummer when we were there. In addition to many scenic walks and viewpoints, there is also a waterfall, archeological ruins, playgrounds for children, and a cafe. It’s hard to miss seeing the Colline du Château from the famous Promenade d’Anglais and whether ascending either by steps on one side or a ramp on the other, it’s worth the effort. Spend an hour or the day as there are plenty of public restrooms and a couple of snack kiosks. Highly recommend!

Parc de la Colline du Château ended up being one of my favorite spots in Nice. The park is absolutely beautiful—lush pathways, peaceful corners, and some of the best panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean. Whether you hike up, take the stairs, or use the elevator, the views at the top are completely worth it. I loved wandering around the ruins, the gardens, and the waterfall area. It’s the perfect place to take a break from the busier streets below and just soak in the scenery. The mix of history and nature gives the whole park a calm, charming vibe. Overall, Parc de la Colline du Château is a must-visit when in Nice—great for photos, relaxing walks, and unbeatable views of the coastline and Old Town.

Colline du Château offers the quintessential Nice experience! Ascending to the top rewards you with arguably the most spectacular panoramic views of the Baie des Anges, the bustling port, and the terracotta rooftops of Vieux Nice. The waterfall is a delightful surprise, and the park itself is a perfect, peaceful escape from the city's energy. A must-visit spot for breathtaking scenery and a moment of calm reflection!

Amazing view point for Nice and a good day out for sure! There is a lift you can take to the top of the hill which definitely improves the accessibility. It is decently busy (but what else would you expect). Upon my visit there was 2 people I encountered who seemed to be a little pushy to get people to take pictures with their Doves in exchange for money.

Colline du Chateau, also known as Castle Hill is a wonderful walk with stunning views of Nice. The waterfall was spectacular. We were also surprised to find a couple of places at the top of the hill where you could purchase refreshments. No tickets required, the walk is free, unless of course you wish to skip the exercise and catch the little visitor train.

Important note for spring visitors: As of May 2, the road leading to the refuge and church was still partially covered with snow. We were able to drive part of the way, but had to leave the car and walk the final ~4 km. The refuge and church were both closed, likely due to the season, but the hike was absolutely worth it—fantastic views all around. Just be prepared for snow and closures if you’re coming in spring!

It is a very ancient and large sanctuary in Europe. It is a suitable place for spiritual exercises and prayer for the pilgrims. There is a beautiful natural views and also have a good volunteer services and facilities. For visitors and pilgrims have good opportunity to stay there and Foods are very good.

We have visited Isola in March, expected a lot of sun but have got a snowfall all 7 days long. But slopes was well trodden, staff worked hard during nights to prepare it. It's nice and quiet ski resort, with a lot of blue slopes for ski enjoying. Also there was not too many people, which is a good thing for us who love that.

Isola 2000 in the summer is a beautiful green place, they rent bicycles and you can take a lift to the very top to ride, there are not very many people, the infrastructure in this area is not very developed. We found only one supermarket working, there was nowhere to eat, June 2025

Don’t go there! It’s well maintained, perfect weather and empty off season (when high season in Austria). Food is amazing and surprisingly cheap. A true hidden gem. Don’t share it with anyone.

Lovely scenery and excellent facilities. However I appreciate hikers aren't their target customers because to find the trails for hikers was really difficult. It is complicated with the VTT as obviously it is a perfect destination for this type of holiday. If I had a bit more practice I would have loved to have done the circuits on a mountain bike but I'm not at that suicidal level 😉😁😁 The swimming pool was really good and there is an excellent choice of restaurants and shops. The Doctor service is brilliant along with the pharmacy who were really helpful and rescued me from a problem. There is so much to see there and I will be going back if I can. The views around there are breathtaking and a trip up the mountain needs to be done. The tourist office staff need to remember that a smile costs nothing. I had a lovely young lady who was really helpful cheerful and couldn't do enough. My wife went in there twice and both times was not impressed with the attitude or service Isola 2000 is a lovely gem hidden in the mountains and I really liked it.

Great ski resort close to Nice (1hr30). Skiing is great considering winter weather on the Mediterranean (we went from 1 degree on the mountain to 17degrees on our drive home in January). Travelled with baby under 1 years old, which can be a bit difficult to walk around the main area as there are steps and stairs everywhere. Nothing major, though, if you are there for a short time. Plenty of skiing and eating options. All reasonably priced

Medium sized, friendly resort with plenty of amenities and some lovely runs, almost all of which are snow cannoned, although not a particularly massive skiable area. Very pleasant to stay in, wouldn't hesitate to return. A bit more peaceful and relaxed than some of the larger, more famous resorts, even at the weekend!

Beautiful place in the mountains just 1:45 minutes from Nice. Temperature during summer is around 20C compared to 34C in Nice. Teleseage funicular is open to get to the top of the mountain either for walk or with bike to drive down. Ticket price for funicular is very moderate.

Nice view off the top of the mountain, and their's a lovely french cafe that serves the best homemade waffles of all kinds. The zipline is a MUST DO !

Really nice place for families. Welcoming people, good infrastructures for kids to learn skiing (and much more in summer) and wonderful landscape around. We come back every year, for winter and summer activities.

Beautiful and well curated. The aquarium part is well kept, with interesting information about the fish and other creatures kept in the tanks. It is not too big, but with its focus on the Mediterranean, it covered a lot of species. The exhibit part was very interesting and organised, and much better than what I would expect from what I thought would be an aquarium. The 2050 exhibit was positive and engaging, and I left feeling hopeful (in contrast to the usual feeling of helplessness against climate change). The view from the terrace is beautiful.

A fascinating museum in a beautiful location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This museum is also home to the Monaco Oceanographic Institute and highlights the country's commitment to ocean conservation. The upper floors have exhibits about the history of oceanographic research and current Mediterranean undersea exploration. The lower floors contain an aquarium and marine life exhibits. I really enjoyed learning about the progression of ocean research technology and techniques used to study the ocean. I also liked the immersive undersea exploration experience on display when I visited. If you love ocean and/or city views, be sure to visit the rooftop, where you can get 360° views of Monaco and the Mediterranean. There is also a full restaurant, children's playground, and snack bar on the roof. This was a fun museum with something for people of all ages. The only downside was that I don't think the museum has air conditioning. I visited on a warm April day, as it was uncomfortably warm inside. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth next to the front door, no reservation needed. You can also buy a combo ticket which includes the Prince's Palace for a discounted rate.

One of the most beautiful museums in Europe! On the very edge of a steep cliff, carved into stone overlooking the ocean. Very modern and well kept with exhibitions ranging from polar ice explorations and skeletons of blue whales to the history of Monaco. Definitely a must visit if you go to Monaco! We did not buy tickets in advance nor did we wait, visited in July!

Cool place where you can do several activities! Only downside: the pool is cold. Remember, due to French regulations you have to wear a tight swimsuit and also the swimming cap.

Really fun via Ferrata consisting of 3 parts from easy to more difficult, multiple escapes. Ticket office is near the start, a couple of minutes walking from the towns parking lot. Really friendly staff. The route has recently been renewed.

The Park Alpha is located in the Mercantour Alps, on a highs of 1900m over sea, nearly 2 hours drive from Grasse. The way is curvy and due to the big storm Alex,three years ago, especially the streets in the mountains are damaged and you really could see what water is able to destroy. Arriving at the park we first went to the store and got some nice things to remember this visit. Afterwards we went to the park itself, a little bit higher the street than the store,more in the valley. We had some time to see the surrounding and at 5pm our guided tour, a very well animal things known women and very well english speaking women went with us in the inner park to see the mountain goats first and then to see and feed the iberian wolves. This was amazing and wonderful to be part of it. Can't believe to be so close to a wolve. After this we went over to another side in the park and could see the european wolves pack and our guide told us so many things, answered any question to know about wolves in general as well as special things for this area and the wolves. I would like to say a very big thanks to her for this time to spent with us to get this experience with the wolves. We only could recommend this place to support and see this wonderful animals. We will come back to this beautiful place some time.... thanks!

Rare attraction but definitely worth going if you’re an animal lover. I would say more interesting for kids. The park has altogether 6 wolves, due to the river floods in 2020, some animals like the Chamois escaped as we were told. The facility is very secure, the park guides are very informative and answer all questions about the wolves, we got to see them feed the wolves, it was quite interesting.

The 1 hr 20 min journey from Nice was absolutely stunning - with the road passing through gorges and mountain tunnels and cliffs towering high on either side. Our boys (11 and 14) loved it. It was 28 degrees in Nice (mid August) but high up the Alpha Park temperature dropped to a very pleasant 21 degrees. Makes sure you get your tickets at the building next to the very tall outdoor climbing wall. Then walk along the road a little before turning left up a rough Alpine path where you will find a bridge with an automated ticket barrier. At the Park we watched one of the pack of wolves up close through one way glass as they were fed raw chicken. Amazing! And then as we were leaving another pack began howling in unison. Very special. There is a restaurant but we didn't have time to enjoy it as we had to catch a flight home. Wish we could have stayed longer.

A nice place to enjoy nature and watch wolves though I did not come at the best time. There was snow on the ground and started melting, so the road was wet, dirty and slippery (I felt twice and luckily I didn't get hurt). Remember to come before the feeding time (twice a day at 11:15 and 15:45) and not to miss the feeding though it lasts a few minutes. The wolves are around before the feeding. Seems they are/have been expanding to include more animals and activities that will make it worthwhile for the long drive up there.

Great location, well organised and friendly service. Beware it is 1500 meters up in the Alps - you need some good clothes and take some food with you... it is pretty much a wild forest so not many options to get your meals bought on location 😉

Spent 1 night with 1 tent here. The view is great, staff is friendly. The campsite has decent and clean showers and toilets. You can easily access by foot from the town, but it is a steep and sweaty hike in the summer! 20 euros for the night (solo, 1 tent, 1 night, no car). Slightly noisy depending on where your spot is because you can hear cars/motorcycles from the roads.

Nice location for train excursions to nice and Monte Carlo as well as the town itself. Bathrooms older and not clean. Not even toilet paper provided. A bit pricey at Euro 48 per night off season. Approach is a bit challenging for larger motorhomes.

Great campsite in a great part of the French Riviera. We have returned to the campsite having spent 4 nights in our campervan last year. The facilities are kept clean and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. Steep walk up to the campsite but it doesn’t take long.

Fellow Americans, if you’re lucky enough to visit Menton then you absolutely must visit Maison Herbin. It’s right in town and you’ll pass it many times if you’re in the central town (it’s small). Preserves make such a great souvenir and the myriad of choices, including award-winning flavors, will light up your mornings for weeks after returning. Classics you have to get are the famous Citron de Menton, Framboise is heavenly, just about everything else is magical.

The confiturerie offers free visits of the kitchen three times a week at 10.30am. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable and were able to answer any questions we had. We even witnessed the delivery of freshly picked oranges, lemons and kumquats which was great as normally you don't realise how many varieties there are. The tour ends with a tasting session of their many jams, including the gold winning raspberry, green lemon and bitter orange confiture. Then you can go to one of the two shops to buy whatever jam you fancy, and they also have a small selection of biscuits, teas and other things. Very enjoyable experience, although I did spend a small fortune on jam.

This review is for the awful customer service, not the actual products and facility. I had gone to this store twice in a day as I had repurchased other products , so one would assume the sales person would be even nicer and happier to see a returning customer, however that wasn’t the case for me, the sales women was extremely rude and unwelcoming. It was my first time visiting Menton and this store specifically, she didn’t even bother to greet me or even ask if I needed help, I saw others come in who I suspect were locals and she immediately greeted them and attended to their needs . I was scolded by her because I took a jam jar from the wrong queue and rather than guide me or politely tell me to take a different jar, she persisted to yell infront of others. This women was either having a bad day or prejudice towards foreigners and by the way, I speak French fluently, so there were no Language barriers. The customer service should match the integrity of the products. Extremely disappointed with my experience with this shop, despite it being extremely quaint.

Menton has been attracting European vacationers and retirees for 150 years and many of them ended their days here. And it would be hard to find a more scenic spot for a last farewell. There are residents here from the USA to Russia and most points in between. Many of the graves teeter on the brink of a precipice with no safeguarding for grieving relatives or inquisitive visitors but it is wildly beautiful. The British section is on a lower level accessed by a gate to the right of the main entrance where you will find escapees from Stalybridge and Wimbledon resting in the Mediterranean sunshine. Joining them for a few moments quiet reflection is rewarding.

About 10-15mins straight walk uphill from the basilica cathedral is the cemetery. There is only 1 exit and entrance which is beside a main road. Entry is free. On a late Thursday afternoon, it was very peaceful and there were only 3-4 other visitors. The cemetery offers a nice view of menton but the place itself is very charming with its medieval theme and random spots w wild roses growing 💕 Definitely worth a visit if you happen to visit the cathedral as well!

Great botanical garden to visit. We wandered around for a hour or 2. Lots to see and everything is kept nice and clean. Mosquitoes are a thing ( everywhere in this region!! ) but they offer free repellent at the reception.

Very nice visit to the gardens. Not far to walk from centre of Menton voya beach promenade and about 7 minutes up a small inclined street. Friendly staff, helpful numbered walking path around lovely gardens and the beautiful villa. The lily pond and flowers was the highlight. They also can make coffee/ tea plus ice creams

Before you come, make sure to bring mosquito repellent like Autan, otherwise the mosquitoes will eat you alive. The garden has about 40 minutes’ worth of content, but it doesn’t seem like it has been updated in a while (at least when it comes to the information boards). Some signs are wrongly placed (decribing trees that aren’t even there) and some QR codes lead to 404 pages. If you’re into botany, you might enjoy it. But even as someone who likes plants, I’d honestly rather spend my time in the park next to it, just sitting by the sea and watching the waves.

A pleasant way to spend an hour if you’re already visiting Menton. A small but peaceful garden with an array of exotic plants I understand were introduced to the region from around the world in Queen Victoria’s reign. The centrepiece is the fabulous lilly pond, with giant species from Bolivia, we spent quite some time taking in the scale and beauty. Worth visiting for this alone. We visited this garden after having already visited the tropical garden at Eze which is mind blowing, the logistics of planting the spectacular cacti on the mountainside incredible. I think if we’d not seen Eze first, I would have Val Rameh higher.

The lily pond was a definite highlight and a stunning spot for photos, demonstrating the excellent maintenance across the entire garden. An unexpected bonus was the presence of a few kind, resident cats that wander the pathways! Staff were welcoming and kind throughout our visit. My one major note for future visitors is the accessibility challenge. There is no designated parking, and we had to park about an 8-minute walk away in the city and hike up a steep hill to reach the entrance. At just 8 Euro entry, it was absolutely worth the cost for the hour we spent exploring. The garden itself is a fantastic destination for plant lovers and anyone seeking quiet beauty. Just be aware of the difficult parking situation and plan for the uphill walk! I look forward to returning to see the collections in a different season.

This is an extraordinary place dedicated to the cure and the culture about wolves. It's managed to buy young people I need to collaborate with local Rangers. The tour includes a route discovering the story of a young wolf and a visit to the turret to try and see some of the wolves they have in semi captivity. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A visit here is highly recommended.

It was a great experience, unfortunately we didn't saw any wolves for real. The story they made was entertaining, even for kids. Unfortunately they had only English guides, so it was for us difficult to explain to our kids what we heard and keep them close to the story. A tip for improvement would be to arrange a transalation in Dutch.

This is the continuation of parc du mercantour on the Italian side of the Alps. It is just as beautiful, it has the same abundance of wild flowers and wild animals. The mountains are a little bit different but maybe even more spectacular. When we were there there were far fewer people than on the French side. The welcome in the mountain huts is very friendly. There are places in the Italian Alps were the food is better.

A tiny museum with the most exceptional 12,000 year old cave etchings from the region. The museum would prefer to give you a guided tour but if you assure them you can translate the didactics on your own, they don’t mind.

Very good exhibition about the history of the Alps and the people living there. Make sure to rent a guide if you don't read French...

Better then i expected

Snow isn't great for the start of the season. And the cost is around 49€ per day, so it's Very expensive. But the lifts are in perfect condition and the slopes are very nice

Nice ski area where you can find slopes for all levels. Nice staff, nice views, toilets are free and most of the time clean. The only bad point is that the direction is greedy for the tamping of the slopes, no tamping from Sunday to Saturday ... a little bit exaggerated But despite that it is a really nice place to enjoy days with friends or family for an honest price.

A bit hard for a beginner. A lot of reds and blacks, a few blues. Maneggio is the place to go if you are new to skiing, there's easy access chair-lifts/ski-lifts as well as really good restaurants. Ate pretty good pizzas there that wasn't too expensive. If you are renting ski equipment near the village, you can take the cable car up but only red trails will be available to get to Maneggio. We had a hard time on the first day to get there since it was our first time, we chose to walk on the second day (approx 10min from Bottero Ski shop to Maneggio). Booking the skipass online was quite a hard task, the website is mostly in italian with some bad translations, but managed to get past it and get a pass for me and 2 friends. Will surely come back next time for some snowboarding!
