The entrance is just 4 euros and you spent easily 4 hours in the parc. There is nice array of animals present going from reptiles and birds to bisons, zebra's and so much more. There is a place where you can eat, it is self service. But throughout the parc are multiple benches where you can sit and have a picnic. The parc is also super clean.

Such a great zoo and at the same time it's inexpensive. The animals seem happy and from what I saw every animal was a pair, so it doesn't feel lonely. Every habitat seemed well maintained. I would've paid double or event triple the price without an issue.

One of the best zoos we have visited - amazing variety of animals, extremely well organised, spacious, clean and helpful descriptions of the areas and species. It is a steal at €3 per person!!! We had a very enjoyable morning/afternoon watching the animals.

We had a great time at the Maksimir Zoo. There are enough animals for a good time and a pleasant tour. The ticket price is symbolic, from 2 to 4€. If you sit for a coffee or ice cream, the stay can last 3-3.5 hours. It's not like the Budapest or Prague Zoo, but it's still beautiful. A sincere recommendation.

Zagreb Zoo is a fun and relaxing place to visit. The animals, like the lions and monkeys, are active and fun to watch. It’s clean, with lots of green space, but some enclosures feel small. The entry fee is €4, and it’s great for families. I enjoyed the peaceful vibe and learning about the animals.

Petrovaradin Fortress is very important and beautiful fortress in Serbia and, in brief, it was used for military and strategic purposes by different empires and kingdoms throughout history. It's something to read about. This river is a well known European river Danube.

The Petrovaradin Fortress has a huge historical value and it's one of the most beautiful place to visit while being in Serbia! The sightseeing is out of this world! Being on top of everything offers a great experience while looking at the city of Novi Sad from above. I recommend this place to all the tourists! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really nice view of Novi Sad and beyond. Also lovely to be able to walk freely around the walls, ramparts and grounds. We were there just after the 2 big storms so trees and roof tiles were scattered everywhere, as well as plenty of other debris. Hope everything gets put back together!

Great place to spend a couple of hours and it's free. There are information plaques in Serbian and English located around the site with explanations of what you can see. Definitely worth a visit.

Νιce view near river nisava. The gate is across the bridge. It is a theatre and has coffee and food shops inside the fortress.

A wonderful and interesting archaeological place. It also contains places to buy beautiful souvenirs, in addition to quiet cafes surrounded by a forest with a beautiful view. It is really a wonderful place to enjoy.

A great place to visit in the city. There are many old things and buildings in the fortress that you should see. At the entrance there is a public toilet that is free, and in front of it a souvenir shop. There are two small trains here for the youngest who want to enjoy a walk through the park in a different way. A large part of the fortress is under deep shadows. The whole place is with lush vegetation and lots of greenery. Here you will see the remains of an old church, a mosque, a lapidarium, visit museums and many other things. In August, one of the most famous music festivals in the region, Nisville, takes place. It is worth visiting.

Good park, with some attractions around. Has a place for coffee, several souvenir shops, and an open stage with events (might be available online, but I'm not sure). There was no entry fee nor ticket required, but it could be only for this visit. It has a miniature locomotive which provides a sightseeing tour, not sure if it is guided. We parked at a public payed parking, but at the end of the work time for Saturday, but we found it a bit difficult for people who do not have a local Sim card. There is an app, but requires an account which we did not bother to make. Nearly there is a bazaar which has WONDERFUL produce at EXTREMELY affordable prices. Those aromas and tastes took me back to my childhood at my grandma's house - just wonderful, highly recommend!!!

I don't usually enjoy any destination with throngs of people, but this was well worth while. The canyon is quite beautiful, and we enjoyed the boat ride to the cave. While I recommend the boat ride, there is also a (free) walkway along the side of the canyon that was surprisingly empty, but which does not permit access to the cave. Tip: I originally considered hiring a cab to do this, but am very glad I saw the canyon as part of the Canyon Matka Tour. The tour was an excellent; well organized and reasonably priced, and driving and parking looked like such a nightmare that I doubt a cab would have taken me anywhere near the entrance.

Rarely does a big city have a place so close for kayaking on fast waters, but also for relaxed paddling, motorboat rides and enjoying the natural beauty of the canyon. Or just come here and enjoy the view with a coffee.

Lake Matka is an artificial lake created by construction of dam in North Macedonia. It's a popular outdoor destinations that exists within the beautiful Matka Canyon. There is a walking trail around the lake, which is very scenic. We took a boat ride in the lake which was very enjoyable.

We visited the lovely Matka canyon/dam/lake via a road trop to Ohrid and Tirana, we must say arriving early (on a weekday) has its advantages there was no crowds, for an hour we had the place to ourselves. It was so peaceful and tranquil, with amazing views, many piccies to be had, definitely worth a visit, as a day trip or on the way, to Ohrid.

Nice place for a weekend. Kayak rental, restaurant, parking. And the main thing here is gorgeous scenery and nature. There is everything you need to have a great time. Not far from Skopje. It is better to come by car.

I was in there 19th of December around at 16:00 o’clock during the winter time it was almost empty and little bit scary for me because l was alone and the weather is getting darker. End of the stairs there is a small restaurant which has a lake view and good spot for photos. Price is little bit higher comparing the other restaurants.

Additionally, the strong presence of Muslim culture, including frequent calls to prayer echoing from what feels like countless mosques, can be jarring for visitors not accustomed to it. While this is part of the area’s cultural fabric, the sheer volume and intensity can feel overwhelming, especially when combined with the chaotic crowds. The bazaar’s authenticity is a double-edged sword—it’s vibrant and bustling, but the lack of order and the aggressive street interactions make it feel less like a cultural gem and more like a disorganized mess. The absence of visible efforts to manage the crowds or maintain a welcoming environment for tourists only adds to the frustration. For every moment of architectural charm, there’s an equal dose of discomfort that makes the visit feel like a chore. In short, the Old Bazaar has the potential to be a fascinating stop in Skopje, but the intrusive begging and relentless noise from nearby mosques make it far less appealing. It’s a shame, as the historical elements deserve better presentation.

Visiting this place is like taking a trip back in time. It is one of the largest and oldest bazaars in the Balkans, dating back to the 12th century. The narrow cobblestone streets are filled with Ottoman-era architecture. The atmosphere is vibrant, full of craft shops, jewelers, cafes and restaurants. I found it great for a stroll, buying simple souvenirs and soaking up a genuine atmosphere.

Charming bazar with great food, but watch the weather Visited on 26 October 2025 and spent about 2 hours exploring and trying food. The Old Bazar is a cute, small, historic area full of character, with lots of different things to try — perfect for wandering, taking in the architecture, and sampling local treats. We especially enjoyed some lokma at Lokmades Skopje, which was absolutely delicious! It was a bit rainy during our visit, and some roads had standing water due to poor drainage, so I’d suggest visiting on sunny days for a more comfortable experience. Overall, a must-visit spot for those wanting a taste of traditional Skopje and local flavors. ✅ Recommended.

Amazing waterfalls. The best sight in Greece. They view is breathtaking especially when you are aunder the waterfall. There is a path which takes you further down to the path of the waterfall. There is no ticket so it's free to see such an amazing gem of nature. There are plenty of coffee shops around to enjoy a coffee or eat something after your trip. Definitely don't miss

The waterfalls themselves are spectacular as is the cave behind the fall and are worth going out of your way to see. However the infrastructure around them has begun to deteriorate. Edessa itself is also worth the visit the rivers running to the falls run through the town. 🤩

A beautiful tall waterfalls inside Edessa City. Overlooking the view of the villages around. You can find it easily inside the katarraktes park. Just be ready to go down some stairs to see it from down, there’s a cave you can explore and if you go more further down the stairs/path you can see small magical lake. Markings can be found if you want to explore its surrounding. <3

As a teenager I used to come here from FLORINA an hr away on my motorcycle with friends for a frappe.. it’s such a beautiful city and a must see at the waterfalls 🇬🇷🇦🇺🫶🏽

We vizited just part of the waterfalls, as everything else there was closed at 16:30 , no aquarium or other places or activities there, some of the places looked closed long time ago, full with dust and spiders. Beautiful place, unfortunately not well entertained.

I would recommend the waterfalls for a short 1-2 hour visit. The cave behind the waterfall is also a muat see. You can also pay to see a couple of other museums and a herpetarium, but it's optional.

The Great Meteoron Monastery is an incredible place to visit and truly lives up to its name. We reached it by hiking through the forest from Kastraki, and the walk was magical – quiet, scenic, and full of breathtaking views of the rocks and valleys. The monastery itself is steeped in history, with beautifully preserved frescoes, impressive architecture, and interesting exhibits that give you a real sense of the past. The views from the top are simply unforgettable. It’s a bit of a workout to get there, but the experience is one you’ll remember forever.

A beautiful and well-preserved monastery with many authentic and original details. The real highlight is the rock formations. We visited in autumn, and the mix of colorful leaves, green bushes, and stone cliffs was breathtaking. You can see the monasteries on top of the rocks without needing drones. A truly magical place.

Calm and peacefull place with astonishing views..although its quite crowded in day time. Maybe theres less people in the morning..Dont forget to wear longpant and women - a dress covering legs and shoulders. Be respectfull for the rules inside, this is a place not for selfies or photos but fot prayer and meditation.

Great views and beautiful monastery. Went early morning as it is quite a lot of steps down & up to get to the entrance. Entrance fee was €5, as with the other monasteries. There is a nice, large gift shop here with a variety of religious gifts, honey, wines, soaps etc.

The most popular monastery at Meteora, and I can see why. Despite the many steps to get to the top, there were tons of people walking up and down. The views are incredible, they have various museums inside the walls, and plenty of art inside the churches. This one was the most complete in terms of showing you the historical way of life of the monks living there.

This is a truly surreal and stunning experience. Highly recommend at least once on your life. We took a tour bus which on total is a 11 hr day but totally worth it with no hassle. Costs £5 each to enter each mosque.

Great place for a day trip. If you are driving, you will enjoy the wide and safe road. You can go to the top by driving your car. Hiking route is also available. Overall, the scenic view is breathtaking and humans capability of building churches and residences are absolutely surreal!

An amazing experience - far exceeded our expectations. We visited St Nicholas & Varlaam monastries. St Nicholas was small with lots of steps but was fantastic. Not very busy. Varlaam was larger & easier to access. The art work in both is stunning. Having a guide to explain was useful. The views are breathtaking.

We absolutely loved the visit to Monasteries in Meteora. It was so peaceful! We visited two - one with Monks and second with Nuns. Both were equally beautiful and well maintained. Views from these locations were breathtaking!! 😍😍

I was overwhelmed!!! The unique beauty of the area topped off with the monasteries on top of the unique rock formations was breathtaking. We hired a guide and went as early as possible. Dress code for men and woman to enter the monastery. 5€ to enter each one. A couple are a lot of climbing up stairs.

One of the best museums we ever visited! And we visited a lot! Presentation, location, historical significance, atmosphere! And artefacts!! Just WOW! The whole story... It's like it's all just a myth! But it's real!! And unfolding in front of your eyes - in such a unbelievable beauty, preserved like it's untouched... One of these things needed to be seen to be believed - and when you see it, it's almost unbelievable :D

I visited the site of the Royal Tombs of Aigai in Vergina and the nearby museum, which is located about one kilometer away: I started from the underground complex, where I spent an hour and a half among burial chambers adorned with frescoes and grave goods such as jewelry, ceremonial weapons, and pottery, which showcase the craftsmanship and religiosity of the Macedonians in conceiving the passage to the afterlife and a short introductory video that contextualizes the archaeological discoveries. Afterwards, I reached the separate Museum, dedicating about an hour to its exploration: the spaces are organized with essential captions and 3D reconstructions. For Italians over 18, the ticket costs 20 euros per person, while those under eighteen enter for free; the price may seem high, but it includes access to all rooms and enriches the visit with multimedia insights. Also included in the price is a museum detached from the tomb structure, located roughly 1 km away. I appreciated the cleanliness and the calibrated lighting that highlights the details of the artifacts, even though at first it may seem a bit excessive (the rooms are completely dark except for the area where the artifacts are to be admired), without causing discomfort to the eyes, and the accessible path with multilingual panels (English, Greek). I recommend inquiring privately for a guide, if you want one, because the facility does not provide it. Overall, it is a vivid and engaging

Here is the magnificent tomb of Philip II as well as the famous golden urn and other valuable personal belongings of the great King of the Macedonians. The unique frescoes like the vivid representation of the Abduction of Persephone, reveal the achievements in the arts and painting during the years of reign of the glorious Macedonian Kingdom.

Stunning place, recreated in the same underground tomb where it was discovered. Extraordinary, detailed recreation of a myriad pieces found. Perhaps the best designed museum in Greece.

A unique experience that not only showcases in a mystic way masterpieces of ancient craft, but also takes you in a detailed journey through the burial rights of ancient Macedonians. And let’s not forget that this is the place where one of the most significant figures of the ancient world was buried and everything is connected to Alexander the Great! Definitely a must see and should be combined with the royal palace and the new museum.

Wonderful museum with incredible exhibits! The light work is fantastic and makes you see the exhibits in detail. The ticket costs 20 euros but you use the same for the Polycentric museum which is about 1 km away. It's worth a visit like nothing else!

I am glad that I came here by walking from Litochoro for 2 hours. I didn’t take the big bus tours from Thessaloniki or Katerini, saving much money, & I am free to stroll leisurely on the lush green meadows for 2 hours. It is a good place to relax & to enjoy the charming scenery. most magnificencia is the Hellenistic theater.

Great place to visit! Within the site you can see an incredible amount of sanctuaries and remains of the old city! Take yourself round two hours to see the whole site! I agree with the lack of quality concerning the signs, that’s why I deducted one star!

Sadly, the trip here was really not worth it. The site is not well maintained, clearly there are many renovations taking place since there were tapes, tarps, fences and trucks/industrial vehicles around many of the sites, which of course we were not informed of. Some areas are very overgrown and unsafe (we came across snakes), poorly marked, no clear trails to follow and signposts with no signs in them explaining what you're looking at. The signs that are present mostly have illustrations or photos of the ruins as we can see in front of us already, as opposed to graphics showcasing what the buildings once were. It leaves a lot to the imagination and if I could give you any advice it would be to go to the museum instead, as the ticket price is actually worth it there. I can see some beautiful photos in older reviews and regret we could not see the same.

Our hotel overlooks Aristotle Square, which is a huge public square lined by various restaurants; and which appears to be a major ‘go to’ place for locals and visitors alike. Very popular as the heat of the day dissipates.

A beautiful and lively spot in the heart of Thessaloniki! The square has lovely architecture, great cafés, and an amazing sea view. It’s perfect for a walk, coffee, or just relaxing and watching the city life. Especially nice in the evening when the lights come on. Definitely worth a visit!

Aristotle Square is a beautiful place. The crowd is quite crowded. It's close to the sea. It has its own flair. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Thessaloniki.

This is the main church in Thessaloniki, where Saint Demetrius is buried. The architecture is excellent, and the temple is beautifully and richly decorated inside as well. There is no entrance fee. There is a souvenir shop inside and outside. There are often tourist tours.

We visited on 26 of October, even we came quite early it was overcrowded, not surprising since almost all Thessaloniki was there, including us came from abroad! We highly recommend to visit it, but please come on the service days earlier in order to find a place... I also recommend a small shop at the right corner of the church, it has much spiritual attributes, ikons, crosses, and even books! I found all the books of St Paisios only 15 Eur per one, so is the first place I recommend to visit in Thessaloniki! We definitely plan to come back again 🇨🇾🫶🏻

The Church of Saint Demetrius, or Hagios Demetrios is the main sanctuary dedicated to Saint Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki. Since 1988, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a part of the site Paleochristian and Byzantine monuments of Thessaloniki. The first church on the spot was constructed in the early 4th century AD, replacing a Roman bath. A Repeatedly gutted by fires, the church eventually was reconstructed as a five-aisled basilica in 629–634. This was the surviving form of the church much as it is today. The most important shrine in the city, it was probably larger than the local cathedral. Thessaloniki became part of the Ottoman Empire in 1430. About 60 years later, during the reign of Bayezid II, the church was converted into a mosque, known as the Kasımiye Camii after the local Ottoman mayor, Cezeri Kasım Pasha. The symbolic tomb however was kept open for Christian veneration. It functioned as a mosque (1493–1912). It was converted again to a church in 1912.

On the one hand, you must go here when visiting Thessaloniki. It is the most famous landmark of the city and has a lot of history attached to it. On the other hand, it is rather expensive (at €8) for what is a relatively small (but interesting) museum. But I have to say that the views from the top are terrific. So Yes - go!

A wonderful place to visit! The White Tower is full of history and beautifully presented inside with clear displays and interactive exhibits. The climb to the top is easy, and the view over Thessaloniki and the sea is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a must-see landmark when visiting the city!

Excellent attraction..6euro entry p.p. The walk up tonthe top with its several rooms and chambers along the way was really well worth it. You could easily spend 2 hours here going through the various write-ups & history. Some audio on English via your phone was available at key points. The views from the top are amazing. You see the length & breadth of the coast line and nearby hils. Apparantly you can see Mt. Olympus on a clear day...we were not so lucky.

This is a must when visiting Thessaloniki! The ticket is 6€ and children under 18 don't pay the ticket. This isn't just a place where you go for the view from the top (even though it's very beautiful), but it's also a museum. You have a couple of stops before you reach the top where you can learn more about the history lf Thessaloniki. You also get a free audio guide available in many languages free of charge! I couldn't recommend this place enough.

A lovely place to walk around and enjoy the sea breeze. The view from the top is stunning, especially at sunset. Definitely one of Thessaloniki’s highlights!

The White Tower of Thessaloniki is A MUST monument-museum-attraction to start, when visiting the city. Start with just inhaling and enjoyig from outside the spirit of the place.(White tower is a starting stop and for the Cultural line 50 - the local tourist live guided bus tour -2€ regular fee (https://www.oasth.gr/en/tourism/cultural-route). Entering inside the museum (6€ regular ticket) you can select from 13 languages in which to learn and understand better the history, culture, life, culinary, evolution of the city during your way up trough the seven levels to the top. The observation terrace is a perfect selfie's spot and also a greate way to orientate yourself in the next directions trough your journey felling in love with Thessaloniki... Enjoy!

A must place to visit if in town for the first time. The tower is multi leveled with each level having an exhibition of the city's history. It's not tiresome to climb as there are no steep steps and you have to stop to see the exhibits. At the top one can enjoy the excellent view of the city and the bay. There is also a museum shop that was not operating on the day we visited.

Sven took us down the coast with stops along the way to swim and snorkel from his comfortable yacht. Lots of soft drinks and sandwiches were included, and we stopped off at a beach bar where we could buy more drinks. Sven is friendly and so too were his other passengers (his boat was not over crowded and there was space to either sit in the sun or shade). Our day was enjoyable and memorable. The trip was easy to check out on the website and book through WhatsApp messaging. The trip is great value for money.

We couldn’t recommend Daysailing with Sven enough. The day was excellent from start to finish. The tour was easy to book direct on the website and Sven communicated with us via WhatsApp, which was super convenient. The weather was amazing, the sea calm and we met some lovely people. All while having a laugh and visiting some of the most beautiful swimming bays & beaches around Halkidiki. We were given our own cooler box with plenty of drinks and a lovely lunch. A SUP board & snorkel equipment was also supplied. This is a perfect trip for couples, friends, or families - highly recommend! ⭐️

We booked a sunset sailing trip with Sven in September 2025, for a special anniversary. The experience was absolutely perfect. Sven is a very hospitable and a very skilled sailor. The views of the Kassandra “leg” were great, we saw a pod of dolphins jumping all around the sailing boat “Sirena” and had time for swimming once the anchor was dropped. Then some drinks and delicious fruit, taking in a glorious sunset, before sailing back to shore. Would recommend very highly, unforgettable.

What a fantastic day! From the moment we boarded we felt very welcomed. Plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel and attempt paddle boarding throughout the day. Not a moment felt rushed. Sven was a brilliant host, and we came away with many happy memories, including a mobile phone retrieved from the ocean floor by Olympic diver, aka, Sven 😉🤣....11/10 experience!

I joined the “Daysailing in Group” tour and had a great time. Sven really knows what he’s doing. He communicates very well and has such a positive attitude. The boat was clean, we didn’t have any issues, and everything was super enjoyable. The spots where we stopped to swim were absolutely beautiful. At one point, we went ashore with a Zodiac and visited a beach bar. 🍸 All in all, the organization was excellent. Thank to Sven and his son! 😊👍⛵️☀️🏊‍♂️🏝️

We had an amazing sailing experience with Daysailing. The captain’s many years of experience were evident in every part of the trip, and his friendly, confident manner made the whole journey even more enjoyable. We were lucky to catch a great wind, which gave us the chance to experience proper sailing at its best. The trip ended with delicious sandwiches prepared by the captain himself, adding a personal and thoughtful touch to the day. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy both the thrill and the peace of being out on the water!

Great communication from the first minute, easy online booking, clear instructions for the meeting point, well balanced route, suitable for all ages, great secret spots for swimming and snorkeling ! Really incredible visit. The views are top notch and the entire site is exquisite to visit and learn about. We were nervous about the time to drive up from Athens, but we hired a driver for the day and it was worth every bit of the cost. Not only a driver, but guiding us along the drive and pointing us in the right direction once at the site. Worth doing, don’t drive yourself and I’d avoid the massive tour buses. Very much worth a visit all around. Do the site first and museum second. Bring water and be prepared for hills.

Wonderful museum and archeological site closed to the modern village of Delphi. The museum has wonderful artifacts but is not overpoweringly large. There is a good flow through the development of Delphi as a sacred site and it's demise before being restored by the Romans. The archilogical site is deceptively large, winding a long way up the mountainside. Allow at least 90 minutes to see the whole site. Cafe at museum ticket office serves good coffee and sandwiches. The shop is a bit twee but has some interesting items. Main downside of the site is the toilets. There is nowhere near enough for the volume of visitors and the inevitable queues and lack of cleanliness are quite offputiing. Much better to take the short walk into a taverna in the village, and probably as quick

Delphi was absolutely breathtaking — one of the highlights of my trip to Greece. The combination of stunning mountain views, ancient ruins, and peaceful atmosphere makes it a truly special place. Walking through the archaeological site, you can really feel the history and imagine what it must have been like thousands of years ago. The Temple of Apollo, the ancient theater, and the stadium are incredible to see up close, and the museum adds great context with beautifully preserved artifacts. Everything is well organized and easy to explore, and the scenery surrounding the site is simply majestic — it feels almost spiritual.

We visited ancient site first due to rain, but recommend museum first. Great exhibits. Do not miss an allow at least 2 hours. Came later in the day and seemed ho be thinning out. Lots if tourist busses. Also was able to park on street close to museum for free. Lots of great artifacts and pieces of history.

Lots to see, varying degrees of difficulty great for individuals with wide range of physical capabilities, and must have a good knowledgeable guide to bring the site to life. Little known fact, a landslide in the last few years has made the area around and access to the Athena temple a restricted no entry area. However, there are plenty of amazing views and spaces to rest in the shade that allows you to soak it all up.

Delphi and the museum are just wonderful. There really is something special about the site and the museum is concise and has great information about the history of the area and more. Definitely worth the visit! My only drawback was the very expensive cafe at the museum - I bought a half a tiny pizza that was tasty but somewhat dry and far, far too costly.

It was a long drive from Athens but it was worth it. If you have time, it's definitely worth seeing there. The same ticket works both for the Museum a d the Archeological Site. Beautiful history and well preserved statues. Highly recommended 👌🏼

A beautiful beach that is near two great taverns, has a bar, and has an organized stone staircase to go down to the beach. It’s not hard to access, but it has limited parking spots. BUT CAREFUL. You need to check the weather very well before you come here. It can have a strong wave and could cause danger to some weak swimmers. Come here on calmer, less windy days for the best enjoyment.

Amazing and beautiful beach! The water has an gorgeous color. Make sure to swim to the sides of the beach, and bring a floating mattress and a pair of goggles. Be aware that renting beach equipment such as a parasol and beds are pretty expensive.

One of the most beautiful beaches we've been to. The descent to the beach is also very special and beautiful. There is an opening in the stone that actually creates a separation between two beaches - one is smaller and more intimate but quickly fills up with people as time goes by. We arrived around 10:00 and it wasn't busy yet. The parking lot was full. The beach fills up quickly and when we left, around 1:00 PM, the parking lot and the beach were already full. The cost of renting an umbrella and two beach chairs is 30 euros. Worth the investment.

I recently visited this stunning beach beneath Pelion mountain, and it was an absolute paradise! Fantastic beach with crystal clear water. The beach is made of small and large stones, it is not easy to place an umbrella. The beach consists of two parts that are connected by an opening in the rock, and those who do not want to go through the rock can also go through the shallows. In the long part of the beach there are several openings in the rock that look like entrances to caves. The sea here is fun for snorkeling because there are a lot of underwater rocks. There is a free parking lot above the beach, which is partly in the shade. There are steep steps and a steep and slippery path leading from the parking lot to the beach, so be careful. There is a restaurant in the parking lot with a great terrace and a divine view. There is a beach bar on the stairs with a fantastic view. On the beach itself, there is a bar that rents sunbeds at a price of €20 per set, which is too expensive. There is a shower and a changing room.

Beautiful beach with nice clear water, but the people ruin the whole experience. No free umbrellas, better buy one for 10 euros and use it in the free zone. By 2:00 pm 2,3 water taxis with 300 people each pour out and the whole idyll on the beach is ruined. The sand is fine, but full of thorns from the trees.

Beautiful beach with lots of natural shade, and also a beautiful forest with a lake just next to the beach. Enjoyed every moment here. Beach bars are whatever tho but they have everything you need like coffees, drinks and food.

Beautiful sandy beach and clear blue water. There is a charge for the beds, local restaurant is nearby serving drinks and fantastic food. Sadly the toilets were not working so we had to walk 20 minutes to the other side of the beach. The beds are close together, its Europe so expect smokers and sadly that's all they do.

Considering this is one of the most popular beaches we had a great day here. We didn't get sunbeds but there are lots of trees where you can go in the shade. The water was great for snorkelling. There is nice beach bars too, changing places and a shower which is handy. The bus drops you right to the beach which was great.

A go to beach, perfect sand, clean water, and its big so its never actually overcrowded. Its pricey cause its popular, a normall frape will cost you not less than 4.5 e, a beer 5-7 e (small-big) and sunbeds are 30e, but you can find place in the shade beneath the pine trees which are practically everywhere, and the smell they give is perfect.

Love this beach! One of my favourites! We got two sunbeds and an umbrella for €30 at end of July. They were very comfy ones though and a man would take orders and bring you the food and drink. The water is so lush and had so much fish, was great for snorkelling. I rented a kayak at the stand there for €15 which was great and they were very nice there. We got the bus and got off at stop 20 and it was an easy walk down. Absolutely loved it and had a great time 🤿😅💕

We really enjoyed our time at this beach. We arrived around 10 a.m. and it was still quiet, with only a few people around. It started to get more crowded closer to midday, but there was still plenty of space on the public beach and under the pine trees. The water was crystal clear and deepened gradually, making it ideal and safe for our toddler. A lovely spot for families!

We recommend go arrive early (before 10 am). You can get good spots both on sunbeds and on your own blankets under the trees. There are taverns, toilets and showers right on the beach. The sea is clean, in the afternoon there are more people on the beach.

Sand beach with an incredible amount of fish. The sea bottom here is sand with small sea weed like a football playground. This is the way we saw it in the beginning of September. If you like snorkeling this is definitely a nice place. The beach is easily accessible by bus. It is a popular beach and most of it is with sunbeds. However there is a small free area. We visited it just for a couple of hours in the morning to enjoy the fish in the sea.

The beach itself is nice, no waves, clean water but overall the facility is not worth the money you pay for the sunbeds. There are no restrooms, no trash cans…

Very easy access to the beach, excellent beach bar, plenty of space for those who don’t want to pay for sunbeds. The only thing that bothered me was that two boats arrived, bringing a lot of people to see the beach, but they left quickly afterward. Everything else is beautiful

A beautiful beach made very famous by a movie. The waters are caribbean-style blue, crystal clear and the coastline is long enough for many swimmers. There is a beach bar nearby where sunbeds are available, although I did not visit it. The beach is reachable by car and on foot.

Nice beach with beach umbrellas and sunbed (you have to pay, of course). For the ones who are not interested in them, remember there is not plenty of room for free: go before 10 o'clock and you will find it. The sea was rough but the waters were still colourful. Very nice landscape, indeed. One of the best beaches we have seen in Skopelos.

I didn’t pay for a sunbed, but they cost €14. There’s plenty of space to lay your beach towel and soak up the sun. The beach bar also has a toilet.

Beautiful although quite full beach with lots of memories from the Mamma mia movie. You can actually hike your way to Milia beach, which is also very nice and quite bigger. The views from the narrow path full of thorns are breathtaking! The path from the bus stop is a bit steep and about 10-15 minutes

Easy access, there is enough parking space. There is enough space to sit down with your own umbrella if you do not want to pay for sunbeds. The beach has small stones (pebbles) that you can walk on barefoot, no waves at all. A perfect place.

Really loved this beach and came here twice during our stay. The water is crystal clear and great for swimming. Is you buy food you get the sunbeds for free at Espresso. We also ate a Linarakia at sunset which was lovely.

A relatively long beach in Skopelos offers many opportunities, as there are supermarkets, beach bars and restaurants nearby. The waters are crystal clear and the beach is perfect for the lovers of shingle. The downside: private yachts visit the area which can be distracting. Suitable for families as well.

One of the best beaches on the island. Clean but can get windy. Adjacent to a great drink bar, free loungers, parking can be tricky. Watch out for the bitey sea bream!

Our favorite beach in Skopelos. The best part is this: ignore the paid beds and large beach area and head west of the last tavern on the northern end is a small beach area shaded in the afternoon by the trees in the forest. To access this, you either go through the shallow water or over some rocks (it isn't too hard but bring beach shoes because it is stony). There's sufficient space for a towel and you are a couple of feet from the waters edge. No loud music, no beds, just you and nature. There is an abundance of fish here as well if you want to look below the water. Rub your feet on the stones and watch the fish eat the algae you kick up!

The clearest water i have seen in my life. Very nice! Parking is available. There are not many sunbeds, so make sure to come early if you want that. If not there is plenty of space to put your umbrella but there is no natural shadow.

The museum and the archaeological site of Corinth are definitely worth visiting! I recommend bringing water, a hat, and comfortable shoes, especially on hot days. The only downside is that it’s a bit tricky to get there: you either need a car or have to take a taxi (from Corinth town we paid €12 to reach Ancient Corinth and the archaeological site). That said, it’s absolutely worth it. On our way back to Athens, our taxi driver stopped at the Isthmus of Corinth(20€): we got to see the canal, take some photos, and there’s also a ticket office and a bus stop for the return to Athens.

Easy to get to off the main highway. Normally open 8am to 8 pm. Closes at 6:30 in October. Costs to enter. They do not give you a map so you will need to read the signs to understand what you are viewing. The museum was nice and flowed well. It is easy for adults and small children to navigate.

We have been looking forward to seeing this archaeological site for years. The ruins of Corinth we see today are from the Roman era. This site was founded by Julius Caesar himself. The Greek city was destroyed by the Roman general Lucius Mummius in 146 BC. For us, the best aspect of seeing these ruins is to follow in the footsteps of the apostle Paul. He ministered to Corinth for 18 months.

So incredible to walk through what was once a thriving and bustling structure in ancient Greece. We especially were in awe of the Bema where the Apostle Paul would speak...so cool and rich in biblical history. A must see in Greece!

I went with a group and we had a guide. I would say having a guide of some sort is key to understanding more of its history. The ruins are beautiful and there is a small museum that also has restrooms. There is a decent amount to explore in Corinth. There is also a small town center with snacks, food, and souvenirs.

100% worth the drive especially if you combine it with a trip up to Acrocorinth. So much history happened here both from a Greek mythology perspective and a Christian/biblical perspective. Bring you walking shoes!

Great museum, the ancient city grounds and ruins are one of the best in all of Greece. If you love the anvient cities it is a must see. Rent a car and drive out and visit this and many sites nearby. Free for under 18

Impressive place to visit if you are in historical stuff, or have a vivid imagination, took me about an hour to study it but the sun was unforgivable, take sunscreen and put it on all your body parts :) there is a car parking at the top. The place is quite amazing.

Very interesting history and some very impressive sights. Some of the paths are slippery and hard to walk on so be mindful of what shoes you wear. Costs 20 per person so not bad but would be a much better value if you are a history buff. The experience was quite humbling at times thinking about the ancient civilization. Parking was nuts and it wasn’t even that busy of a day. Overall we were happy we went but it isn’t something we’d pay for again.

We stopped by on our way to Nafplion and it was totally worth it. The site is surrounded by mountains, and the views are just amazing - both towards the peaks and the sea. We arrived around 10 in the morning and it was already pretty busy, parking wasn’t easy to find. By around 1 p.m. it got really crowded, so it’s better to come earlier if you can. The ticket costs 20€, which feels a bit pricey, but the place is quite big and full of interesting things to see — tombs, caves, and old stone walls. Definitely a must-see if you’re in the area.

Very extensive site with good explanations in Greek and English. The parking was a bit tight but cleared out after buses left at midday. I love the beehive tomb very unusual in my experience.

A must-see, of course! Even though not much remains from the Bronze Age structures, it’s fascinating to walk through the site and imagine how this mighty citadel once stood proudly atop the hill, surrounded by majestic mountains and a breathtaking landscape. The atmosphere feels ancient and mysterious — you can really sense the weight of history here. Don’t miss the royal tombs, especially the Treasury of Atreus (or Tomb of Agamemnon) located a bit further down the road — it’s truly impressive!

Parking is small, it gets filled up quickly. The museum should be visited first for a better understanding. The Mycenian culture greatly influenced other peoples, it is very significant in history. The city is huge and with lots of monumental architecture. Too little info onsite to be honest.

A must visit site for anyone interested in the Mycenaean civilisation. Be warned though, there is very little shade and thus no real respite from the heat on a hot day. Additionally, the 'cafe' at the entrance is run by a scalper - €5 for a litre of water is outrageous.

The Corinth Canal is a truly spectacular sight, and it's much more than just a waterway. Standing on the bridge, you get a powerful sense of the history and the immense engineering effort it took to carve this narrow, deep channel through solid rock. The sheer cliffs on either side are breathtaking, and watching a ship navigate this incredibly tight passage is a unique and thrilling experience. It's a must-do for anyone traveling through Greece, offering both a stunning natural view and a fascinating glimpse into human ingenuity.

Nice place to stop by! Such a deep and narrow cuts which separates the Peloponnese peninsula from the Greek mainland. With a nice history behind ofcourse. Only the view from the bridge is stunning. I wanted to try bungee jumping here but it was closed 😩 Still, totally worth the visit!

Had an amazing boat ride through the Corinth canal both ways. Only €22 each on Anna 11 cruises. Lasted about an hour or so and went from the quay on the Athens side of the canal. It's incredible how it was dug and dynamited out of the rocks. Very steep sides in places with road and rail bridges spanning it. Well worth doing. Maravilho.

At around €100 per person, it’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that adds a real adrenaline rush to your visit. Parking was easy and the area felt tourist-friendly. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through the region — even a short visit is worth it!

The Corinth Canal is a fascinating sight. Typically, tour buses heading to the Peloponnese start there for a rest break and spend a few minutes seeing the canal. The ancient Greeks and Romans dreamed of building a canal here, but lack the technical ability. It was completed in the late 1800s using steam equipment. If you are able, suggest driving to the Diolkos. This was the ancient road that ran across the isthmus, mainly to transfer goods and on rare occasions ships.

You can't imagine how much I love Corinth canal, it looks unreal. I was many times here and always is amazing. I can stand on the bridge all day long. Don't miss this beauty.

It it really is one of the most beautiful sights in Greece not far away from Athens 1 hour drive. Truly mesmerizing and if you are up for the bungee jumping experience that's another plus

Incredible beach if u desire, appreciate seclusion & privacy. Also fantastic for snorkeling & seeing abundant sea life (urchins, many many types fishes, fireworms , crabs, snail's etc). Has a area too, that has free sunbeds, around 14 or about....probably best going earlier in day if wanting grab 1 those though. 2 beach bar's, restaurants also close by. The only negative (didnt bother us) is it's full pebbles,rocks there. Probably best bringing a pair water shoes for protection also advisable because was lot's sea urchins.

Good beach with 3 bars and small water playground. There are sunbeds which cost 15€ (for set). Water is very clear and fully of fishes in various colors or diffrent sea animals like sea urchins, sponges and even octopus. This beach is one of the best on the island. Highly recommend.

Arguably, the best beach in the island. The waters are very clean with a million shades of blue. Access is fairly easy, although parking may be an issue when the beach is too crowded. Finding a sunbed is easy and probably the cheapest in the island. Do visit the cozy beach bar and try the pita with galotiri cheese sandwich. Lastly, if you are lucky enough you could also meet the resident duck. Sadly anonymous as yet.

This is one of the most popular beaches on the island but personally I didn’t think it was special. Of course that’s not to say it’s not pretty. There are sun beds at €15 the set but the sun beds are old and run down - the owners should consider lowering the price or buying new ones

Beautiful views from the top, the panoramas are really worth it. Unfortunately, the site itself is poorly maintained, not really visitable inside, and the €20 entrance fee is absolutely too much. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price – €5–10 would be more appropriate considering the limited access and its recent history.

A fantastic place to visit in Nafplio! The view from the top is absolutely stunning, especially when the water around the town turns that beautiful blue-green turquoise shade. There are several viewpoints around the fortress, so take your time to walk around and enjoy the different perspectives. There’s also a small café inside for a quick break. You can either climb up the famous stairs or drive up — both options are worth it. The only downside is that the ticket price feels a bit high, but overall, it’s definitely worth the visit for the view alone!

Absolutely gorgeous views and a very impressive fortress. The architecture and preservation is amazing. We had so much fun exploring and there seemed to be a new view around every corner. I was surprised they even had a little snack cafe’ in the main area and it appeared they were working on some sort of museum as well. Oh…bring good shoes with traction. You’ll thank me later.

The view from the top is breathtaking — you can see the entire town of Nafplio, the sea, and the surrounding mountains. It’s worth every single step of the climb (or drive up if you prefer). The fortress itself is massive, beautifully preserved, and full of history. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring the different bastions, tunnels, and stone pathways. Every corner has a different perspective and photo opportunity. It’s peaceful, scenic, and gives you a real sense of Greek history and architecture. Whether you hike up the 999 steps or drive to the entrance.

Awesome view of the city of Nafplio from the firetress on top of the hill. The foretress itself is well built and has some interesting stories behind it.

The fortress is an impressive place with amazing views over Nafplio and the sea. The history and atmosphere are truly worth experiencing. However, the entrance fee (20€ per person) feels a bit high, especially since there’s no museum or additional exhibition inside. It takes no time at all to climb the stairs, but walking down the road will take you about an hour.

The Palamidi Fortress, a grand and impressive Venetian fortress, is nestled on the crest of a high hill overlooking Nafplio. A must-see sight, it feels like a never-ending structure that sprawls across most of the hill.
