A beautiful church, and one of the 4 papal basilicas in Rome. Huge scale, striking gold, ornate ceiling with circular portraits of all past Popes lining the wall. At the time of writing, Leo still awaits his portrait. Aside from the incredible basilica itself, and the entrance courtyard, there is a quiet cloister one can visit for €3, which includes a small museum space where one can look at relics and artifacts dating back many hundreds of years. Nice cafe and shop too. Easy public transport links, or a straightforward stroll from Trastevere Station for the more athletic.

Breathtakingly beautiful and moving. We were lucky to visit during the Catholic Jubilee and experience a service with a beautiful choir on a sunny day Was very crowded but we never felt crushed. A must visit for lovers of religious architecture.

I went especially to walk through the Holy door. There were no crowds except in the gift shop, but the shop had lovely souvenirs. I also paid a euro to go underground to see the archeological site. Truly amazing to see remnants from so long ago.

This basilica have a huge shop to purchase your jubilee 2025 souvenirs and all. We only know this at the last of our journey but still managed to pick something up. One of the four holy doors are here so this is a must visit too. You can easily spend an hour here. Take note not to make loud noises and be considerate of the people here who can be old people.

This park was really good, despite there being very few rides, with most of them being either broken or in need of a refurb. Costs €5 extra to get into the Nintendo experience, so make sure you book online since my family didn't (somehow). The fact that Mario, Sonic, Harry Potter and Topo Gigio are incorporated into the park is amazing, especially since it attracts both English and Italian speaking tourists to the park. There needs to be more sunbeds and rides as well since there weren't many. I think the Zoomarine in the Algarve is a tad better as it has more space and more rides, and also has rides that are of better quality. I would definitely recommend this! Also, there needs to be more English on the signage, I can't speak or understand that much Italian as I'm an Irish tourist :)

We really liked this waterpark. They offer various shows for families as well as a large selection of pools and joy rides. It has a bit of everything and you deffinetly need a day to be able to enjoy everything. I recommend buying tickets online to skip the queues.

Beautiful place, dolphins are so happy… however… seals need much more space. They seem very depressed and it’s not a good look for this park. They deserve a place where they can waddle, swim freely and relax.. the3x2metre cages they are in are not enough! The other aspects of the park are beautiful, the aquarium, butterfly atrium and rides are incredible and worth a visit. I really loved my time here but felt guilty to support a place where the seals are unhappy.. please respect your seals and make them as happy as the dolphins!

Great experience and lovely rides and shows. The place is really big so make sure you get there early and you have a lot of stamina as there are tons of things to do and see. You have to pay 5 euros for the car park, which we did not see in the prepaid tickets we bought online. Also, there are some awesome bundle packages online. The place is super clean and the kids loved it. The dolphin show is amazing but better still pay for the one on one sessions a bit more expensive but worth the price. Have fun!

This place gave us horrible experience. The pool is extremely disgusting. Full of leaves and so much mold around that will make you sick. The food is dirty and there were no places to sit and the staff didn't treat us like there customer at all. I don't reccomens comming here ever as a tourist because it's very toxic.

Had a lovely day today. We were very pleasantly surprised. Good sized park, which was well maintained in most areas. Some slight attention to detail around weeding around some rides would improve this slightly but that is me just being picky. Food prices were ok for a theme park. 5 of us ate for just under €70 which would be very difficult to do in a UK theme park and notably drinks were ok too, €3.50 for a coke zero and €2 for water. The main reason for 4 out of 5 was due to a few rides being out of action. We wanted to go on the rapids and were told they would reopen but unfortunately didn't or if they did we missed it. Also the sky viewing platform ride was also shut.

We visited as two adults and really enjoyed the day. The park is very clean and beautifully maintained. There are a couple of really exciting attractions - especially Shock, which will definitely not leave you indifferent. The water rides are also a lot of fun - particularly Le Rapide, the round raft ride that gives you absolutely no chance of staying dry. 😅 A perfect mix of thrills and fun, highly recommended!

I dont know why i seen so many complaints about this place saying it's expensive or staff are rude i experienced the opposite of that. I spent the day at MagicLand with friends — we had fun, especially on the roller coasters! The park is nice and clean, but the lines were pretty long and food inside was pricey. Still, it’s a great option for a weekend trip near Rome.

The place itself is great and a lot of fun. It felt safe, and both the restrooms and different areas were clean. However, the pricing is tricky. Online tickets are supposed to be cheaper, but we never received the validation code for registration, so we couldn’t complete the online purchase. We were also charged extra items with the food we ordered, which didn’t feel fair. Additionally, not all staff members spoke English, or not at a sufficient level, which made communication difficult at times.

I had an amazing time at Magic Land! The park is full of fun attractions, and everything is so well-organized. The highlight of my visit was the fantastic show at the theater—absolutely enchanting! Gorgeous gardens (ticket 12 €), quite large, so you will spend some time here. There is even a small cafe bar with some food right under the Greek theater (you can also find toilets here, next to the theater). We also caught the concert in the evening from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM and the ticket cost only 8 €. Fallowing the song for parking and ticket office if you are by car (around 1 km from down, another entrance by foot).

This is a must-visit-place if you visit Ischia! The place is incredible, and there's so many wonderful, beautiful and unique places. Make sure to have plenty of time, and it is a big garden and theres quite a lot of walking, paths up and down, elevations and stairs. At the very top and bottom, trees offer you a bit of shade and fresh air. The the levels in between, the sun and stairs can make it an incredibly warm experience. Make sure to bring water and something for your blood sugar if it is a very warm day. The place is relatively easy to reach by public transportation. Parking is a bit more tricky, however if you enjoy a slightly challenging drive on small roads there's a small parking lot at the very top of the garden.

If you’ve visited botanical gardens in other major cities (500,000+ population), this one won’t surprise you — it’s pleasant, but quite standard. Plan for about an hour to see everything. One important tip: there are a lot of tiger mosquitoes here. If you’re not familiar with them, look them up and make sure to bring repellent — it will make your visit much more enjoyable.

The Veiled Christ sculpture is without a doubt the most impressive. The way the marble looks like a delicate, transparent veil over Jesus is unbelievable. I honestly couldn’t believe it was carved from a single block of marble. It’s one of the most beautiful and emotional pieces of art I’ve ever seen. The other piece that really stood out to me was the one with the marble net (Il Disinganno). The fine detail in the net is just mind blowing. Although the chapel isn’t very big, every part of it is full of intricate art and symbolism. I do wish we could take photos, but I also understand why it’s not allowed, it helps you focus more on the moment. Highly recommend booking in advance, as it can get very crowded. But it’s 100% worth visiting!!

The highlight of my trip is Guiseppe Sanmartino’s Veiled Christ in the Sansevero Chapel Museum in the heart of Napoli’s old city. I have been waiting for this moment since for 2 years when i first learnt about this incredible masterpiece. The thinness, fluidity and transparency of the veil, the expression on the face and body of Christ as he laid in the tomb is remarkable and hard to imagine that the material is marble. Very unforgettable an experience. The staff are helpful and excellent in managing crowd flow. The chapel is small and the experience of entering in is intense and mystical. Too bad no photography of any kind is allowed but there were books to purchase at the end. I wish there were more literature on Guiseppe Sanmartino’s life and history. This great craftsman remains a mystery to me for now.

So there is no warning online when you buy the expensive tickets that you can not take photos inside. Which is fine, people would take a long time if everyone took photos, and it is a small chapel. However you can not take photos in the store of the postcards either. I find that ridiculous for the price of 12€ entry to this tiny thing. The sculptures and frescoes inside are stunning, with an incredible level of detail and realism. Without it, you miss a lot of context and can’t fully appreciate what you’re seeing. For such a short visit, it’s definitely worth it. The visit takes around 20–30 minutes, and it never feels long or heavy. It’s short, fascinating, and full of beauty. If you’re in Naples, it’s an essential stop — a small gem you shouldn’t miss.

I can't recommend it enough, it's astonishing. If I was to go back I'd visit the palace one day and the gardens another. I spent a whole day from 8:30 am to 4pm and I could have easily spent a few more hours just walking around soaking the beauty of the place, but I was tired and I had to get the bus back.

Grandiose structure (mostly empty) but the royal chambers (Piano nobile) are quite extensive and richly decorated and elegantly furnished. I enjoyed a 90 minute very informative guided tour in Italian (unfortunately with an excessive amount of Bourbon-era nostalgia... and no critical comment on the social costs of such bombastic projects and the sociopolitical effects of spatial distancing of royalty from the common folk in a guilded playground). I found this Reggia more elegant and pretty than the Quirinal and some other palaces in Italy (laden with austere or disproportionate displays of Baroque or mismatched styles or unfinished or unrestored works). Many similar palaces in Germany and Austria are however more elegant and aesthetically pleasing (they have also been restored to a supreme level of splendor and decadence by exceedingly generous government allocations in recent years). What recent administrations have done to restore the Reggia after decades of neglect is surely remarkable. The mixture of contemporary art with the original museum exhibits (after COVID) is not always very convincing: some combinations work fine but in other cases there is no real dialogue between works of art (the contemporary pieces - of differing quality and from a single collection linked to a recent natural disaster - seem put there very jarringly simply to respect the conditions of the donation, i.e. that they reach the widest public possible, and little concern for the dignity and harmony of the rooms' decor). Some works would work better in the empty exhibition spaces of the palace (even with baroque and neoclassical works included for comparison). You can skip the palace, its just another palace, but you should get to the garden! We ve made the one way on foot, and we came back with the bus. Its a reaaaaly long distance, so i would suggest you to rent a bicycle. it would be much more pleasant. If you get there at its opening time, you will have the garden for yourself!!!

Inside the park so kinda weird that there’s a separate Google listing for each temple when you pay once to visit them all. Plus, how would you rate one temple fewer stars than the others? They’re all over 2,000 years old still standing! I’m struck by how perfectly level and straight the columns and flooring blocks are. Shows fantastic engineering and planning and site prep.

Don't miss Paestum. We arrived just as they closed the gates, but the views from outside the fences were so good we almost didn't go back the next morning. What a mistake that would have been. Upclose access to wellpreserved temples, and acres of tumbled ruins of lesser homes and palaces.

We got free entry as it was a national Republic day then. The temple complex is huge. The archaeology remains appear much grand than in pictures. However still in good shape particularly the temple of Neptune. I would suggest to buy a booklet giving information and it has nice illustrations about how this place must have looked in its heydays. A very impressive archeological park that we stumbled upon whilst motor biking from Diamanté to Salerno. Well worth the €15 ticket - the park is well maintained and well organised. Plenty of parking available and some nearby food options. It’s ideal to park at the exit, closer to Temple of Athena, and walk up to the entrance. Allow at least one hour, more if you visit the museum which is included in the ticket price.

This place is far more interesting than you expect. We were here for about 3 hours. The museum is informative. Once you are on the actual site it seems wrong to be able to walk all over the sites of the buildings. Beautiful mosaics are left open to the elements. The castle itself is very impressive, but everything around it simply ruins the experience. Parking is paid, as is the shuttle. There's a con man standing by the free restroom trying to take money for admission. After parking and the shuttle, there's a ticket to the castle itself, which costs 10 euros for a tour inside the castle, which is actually quite small; it takes no more than 15 minutes to explore.

Amazing Swabian castle dating back to about 1290! It is surrounded by a forest and you only need a few hours to see everything. Bring some good hiking shoes, unless you are able to pay for parking close to the castle. We went during the week and it was not very busy. There are a few great videos inside the castle, which stays amazingly cool in the summer heat!!

We went in early November so it wasn’t too crowded. We parked in the nearby private lot for €5 but I think if you park in the lot ~2km away it’s free. The museum was great. Text panels in Italian and English and braille. Video and tactile exhibits. Audio guide in multiple languages available at an extra cost. Bathrooms on the premises. A restaurant nearby as well. Can be seen in its entirety in under an hour.

Built on a hill 540 metres above sea level, the fortress of Castel del Monte in Andria is considered a brilliant example of medieval architecture, reflecting the humanistic culture and vast education of its founder, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Sicily. The octagonal castle is surrounded by an octagonal tower at each corner. Mysterious and an almost inhumanly exact geometric shape, some theories claim that the octagon represented the union of the circle and the square. The octagonal layout gives Castel del Monte the configuration of an elegant stone crown, and is present in all the castle's rooms. There are eight rooms on the ground floor, and eight on the first floor. There are eight towers surrounding the building, all with an octagonal layout and each arranged on one of its eight corners. Pretty but... I can't help feel that Polignano is a victim of its own "beauty". Certainly worth a visit, but I felt I kept on waiting for it to deliver, and it never did. It does have an impressive setting, built above and into the shallow cliffs, and it had the typical bars and restaurants to enjoy, with a "new" viaduct where an old Roman one used to be, above THE beach - pebble and crowded, so for viewing from a distance rather than enjoying as a beach. You also run out of things to experience pretty quickly, so give it an hour for a coffee, beer or glass of wine, and move on! Free parking up by the station.

A special place to visit! The tall narrow houses clinging to the cliffs with the crashing waves below. Let your eyes soak up the beautiful clear Adriatic sea. Walk the narrow passages in centro storico. Experience the poetry of the little village. Dive back to Roma times.

What a charming place to stay for a long weekend. Polignano a Mare looks like it is straight out of a movie set. This part of Italy (the heel) does not suffer over-tourism so I found it peaceful. The small town is very eye catching, as it's perched precariously on steep sea cliffs. The houses have flower laden balconies and are separated by tight alleyways. You really feel like you are stepping back in time by decades. Your standard run of the mill restaurant here, would be a top class Italian restaurant at home, and the prices are great. There is a statue here dedicated to their favourite son - the famous Italian singer, composer, and actor Domenico Modugno. There is not much English spoken here, so you are better off making the effort to learn some Italian words. If you are in the Bari area, I would advise coming here for a day trip at least, it's that special here.

A very nice small city with narrow streets and fresh sea air. If you dare, you can try swimming down at the rocks because this area is always full of visitors and tourists. While walking at the streets don't miss the beautiful sea view!

I honestly can’t stress enough how important it is to book this wonderful tour if you are planning a trip to Alberobello! Especially if the wonderful Mimo is your tour guide. He is funny, informative and educational and makes for a very insightful and informative tour ending in visiting an actual Trulli house doubling as a museum then a perfectly prepared lunch served in a secret garden whilst being serenaded by a beautiful live music! Epic experience!

Va very nice beach ended. It is very difficult to find sandy beaches in Puglia. This one is one of them and I think it definitely worth it! They call it "Maldives" ... Of course it's a metaphor. Nothing is like Maldives in terms of beaches. But anyways, if you're a beach person and would like to spend some time on the beach, this one it nice!

A wonderful beach, perfect for families with children! The water is crystal clear and shallow, ideal for safe swimming. The beach is clean and well maintained, with both sunbeds and enough free space if you prefer using your own towel or sheet. Peaceful atmosphere, soft sand, and easy access — everything you need for a relaxing day at the sea. Highly recommend it for a family holiday in Salento!

Best to go in the morning. During the evening the light doesn’t show the beauty of the place but in the morning it was beautiful. There were a lot of people during the weekend.

The sea itself is great, but the rest is terrible. Extremely crowded on a Friday in July, no changing rooms and 1 public toilet somewhere in the parking lots for the whole beach. There are plenty good beaches around salento, not worth driving that far to the most crowded one.

Had a great 6 nights here. Got a west-facing room and just about managed to see some sunsets (due to time of the year!). Breakfast had nearly everything you could want. Staff were excellent. Pool was nice. Location of hotel was perfect. Watch out for mosquitos at night and have breakfast inside if you can to avoid the wasps! Didn't have dinner here but the pool menu was more expensive than I expected - although similar to bars/restaurants nearby. Would return

A really good hotel with beach access, nice swimming pools and great views on both sides. I would say it is good value for money for what you get. The breakfast buffet is endless with a huge variety of good quality options (one small thing - it would have been nice to have fresh fruit juice, not concentrate). We had a superior bay view room, we were a little disappointed with the view as it was restricted so I would recommend a sea view room instead. Overall though a great place and we’d stay again

Beautiful! Love the calm vibe. The hotel has two sides with equally gorgeous views. Access to the beach is down many steps so may not suit some. The Rocky beach was more secluded and great for snorkelling, access to water from a ladder! Main beach is beautiful and accessible from hotel terraces that are never too busy. Rooms are clean and love the Olivia Thinks shampoos and body lotions. Breakfast included and something for everyone’s tastes.

Excellent experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff extremely polite, and the stay comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely visit again. We were absolutely satisfied. Totally worth it! Rooms are lovely and the staff is so incredibly helpful and wonderful. And of course, the cliffside sunbathing area is just to die for. Totally lived up to the photos and hype. I was out there everyday having the time of my life. Reading and swiming in the water all day long. Playing in the near by sea caves, and snorkeling and enjoying the sea life. The food here is wonderful! Make sure to get the half board, it's totally worth it. Also, make sure to make an appt to eat at their bar, food was phenomenal! My husband and I rented a car while here, but there is a bus that run from the Hotel to Corfu all day long. And it hardly costs anything. We actually used it to go into Old Town so we wouldn't have to worry about parking. The only complaint is that people will go put their towels down by the rocks, and leave them there for hours. Taking up the few sun bathing beds there are in the cliffside. I wish the staff would oversee that area. The rest of the resort has signs that say if you leave your things in attended for 30 min, they will be removed. People would put their towels out and disappear for 2 hours for breakfast, then for a couple hours again for lunch. I thought it was rude! I always would take my towel with me when I left and offer my seat to someone else. Trying to hog a spot seemed so awful and just plain selfish. Especially as there were times I would come and go and the entire time the person who's spot was saved, was never there! Literally, once I noticed for 3 hours a couple didn't show up. Even though other couples came and went hoping for a spot.

Outstanding experience. Celebrating anniversary and were upgraded. From the modern, zen-inspired design and furnishings in suite, the incredible views from most everywhere in hotel, the friendliness of the hard working staff, wonderful breakfast offerings to the personal touches we enjoyed like our immaculately cleaned suite (thanks Maria!) and beautiful towel art. We also received a few special gifts from the staff for our anniversary. In my family’s many years of travel, we have never encountered such care and attention to detail as we did at Akrotiri Beach Resort and the next time we are privileged enough to visit Corfu again, we will absolutely be sure to stay here again. This hotel is beautiful. The only “negative” I would say is that there are a lot of stairs in order to reach the beach. I would be concerned with how elderly or people with disabilities would be able to access the beach. The staff is incredibly nice. The rooms are very clean. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. A buffet breakfast is available from 7:45-10:45 with my stay. There are restaurants within walking distance! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I recommend having a tour guide give you the history of this place. The statues around the villa are awesome. Give yourself an hour maybe a little more to go through this site.

Unfortunately the Palace itself was closed for renovations during our visit. However, we were able to explore the grounds which are beautiful and have amazing views. Disappointing we had to pay full entry fee for half of the experience.

Nice gardens, spectacular views and the gardens refurbishment is looking good. The building is not much more than 100 years old and is currently closed. The building must have looked impressive in it's heyday but has been neglected for a long time so is in a really poor state of repair. I felt quite sad to see it like this and expect a lot of time, money and skill will be needed to bring it back to it's former glory. Worth a visit but manage your expectations accordingly.

Beautiful place to visit and visit the Muses, as well as Achilles. ❤️ The building itself is currently being updated though, so you can't go in. The Gardens and statues are absolutely gorgeous though and it overlooks the city in the distance.

The garden was beautiful. Unfortunately the place is closed due to refurbishment. But there are couple of screens set up around the gardens where you can watch history of Sissi. You have to go and see massive statue of Achilles with a stunning view that will leave you speechless. Tickets for adult was €7 (only garden)

The drive was windy and narrow but incredibly cool! Don’t go too fast and risk it. Food and drinks are sold before you go down to the beach, there are no services available on the beach itself.

The boat ride takes only 3 minutes, and during that time, because of the large number of people on the boat, you don’t really have the chance to take photos or properly capture the moment. The price is €10 for adults and €5 for children.

Melissani Cave is undeniably a natural wonder and well worth a visit, earning a solid four stars from me. The cave is absolutely stunning, especially when the sun's rays penetrate the open roof, illuminating the incredibly clear, turquoise waters with a surreal, glowing effect. It's truly mesmerizing to glide across the water in the small boats, and our guide did a good job explaining the cave's history, including how it's named after the nymph Melissani, who, according to myth, drowned herself here out of unrequited love for Pan. The story adds a layer of mystical allure to an already magical place. However, while the beauty is undeniable, the experience itself is quite brief. The boat ride around the cave lasts only about five to ten minutes, which, for the price of admission, feels a bit short. This brings me to my main caveat: it absolutely does not worth waiting for hours in a queue to experience this. We saw incredibly long lines, and for a five-minute ride, that kind of wait would severely diminish the enjoyment. My advice is to try and visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid peak times. If you can get in with a reasonable wait, Melissani Cave is a uniquely beautiful place to witness nature's artistry. Just manage your expectations regarding the duration of the visit and you'll be captivated.

Melissani Lake is one of the most magical places in Kefalonia, a cave with an underground lake where the crystal-clear waters glow in shades of blue and green as sunlight pours through the open roof. The boat ride is short but very charming, and the rowers often sing during the journey, which creates a special atmosphere. At the end, however, they do expect tips and may offer to take photos for the same reason—something to keep in mind. To reach the boats, you need to go down about 30 steps and then walk roughly 200 meters through a descending tunnel inside the cave. It’s very important to arrive early, because when several cruise ships are in port, the lines can get very long and the wait may be close to an hour before entering. I recommend bringing water and an umbrella, since the queue is often under the sun and the heat can be strong. Despite the wait, the experience is absolutely worth it, especially around midday when the sunlight makes the water shine at its best.

One of a kind experience! We arrived and queued for about 20-30 mins from beginning to being in the boat. Tickets 10 euro each. This is at 11am, the whole thing lasted ab 10 mins, you can leave a tip if you want to the boat guy, ours was really fun- took a picture of every one of us on the boat separately, there were about 3-4 more boats. Unfortunately the view from top was closed.

The beach is beautiful with crystal blue waters and white sand, but it's totally overrated. Also, there are minimum 5 boats in the bay at every time. Since 2024, there are regulations from the Greek Government to not let anyone go on the beach or swim nearby because of falling cliffs (and you can see rocks that fell on the beach on the sides). You can only stay on the boat as they will turn for 15 minutes in the bay, then go to another spot if they have swimming spots included.

Always wanted to see this since I was a kid. Finally nice to have ticked it off. Shipwreck is cool but the amount of tourists is insane. Do prepare yourself for that. Best to hire your own boat for the trip as it will be more enjoyable. I would do that next time.

Lovely viewpoint, very small area open to be able to take a picture. The queue for the viewpoint platform took about 40 mins. They are doing work in the area so may be better next year. Well worth the wait though, probably best to see from a boat tour.

Iconic place, a must see both from the sea and the viewpoint. Closed to public from 2023 due to limestone landslide, no access to it by car, the viewpoint gets a bit busy, it’s a 10 min walk to the furthest point. Views are incredible. Mind the hike back up, it’s a paved but quite steep, can get kinda hard in the heat. Mind the shadow/sun on the beach for good pics. Water photos taken at 11:20am early June. Viewpoint photos taken 2:30pm. There’s also a military base nearby & you can see F16 flying around super low to the water - spectacular sight

This famous cove can only be reached by boat, and you cannot go ashore because of the shipwreck remains on the beach. Still, the view of the dramatic cliffs and turquoise water is absolutely breathtaking, and swimming in the crystal-clear sea right from the boat is an unforgettable experience. It is definitely a tourist hotspot and can get very crowded, as it’s one of the most iconic places in Zakynthos. Despite that, the scenery is so unique that it’s worth seeing at least once. Floating in the water with the shipwreck and cliffs in the background is something you won’t easily forget. A good tip is to visit during the week rather than weekends, as it tends to be slightly less busy. There are no facilities here, so come prepared — but that’s part of the adventure. Overall, a must-see location in Zakynthos for the incredible views and experience in the water.

It's definitely a must-see, but it's impossible to reach by land. The stunning color of the sea and the ship create a wonderful blend. However, going to the beach and swimming in this area is dangerous and forbidden because rocks can fall from the mountains. But I definitely recommend visiting by boat to see the scenery.

We really enjoyed our trip here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot with good amenities nearby.

Busy yet lovely sandy beach. The sea is a few meters from your sunbed (should you wish to rent one... 10 for 2 and umbrella) and as smooth as a pond. The beach bars are reasonably priced for a snack. A view to enjoy and if you like planes, a good spot yo see them come in to land!!

We really enjoyed this beach overall. Water was clean and very shallow for kids to play. Beach was fairly clean from what we saw with many Restaurants and Beach Bars near by as well as some water activities for rent as well. We’d definitely return here again some day.

Laganas Beach is a wide sandy beach with shallow and clear waters, perfect for swimming and relaxing. The area is lively, with many bars, restaurants, and water sports options, so there is always something to do. It can get crowded, especially during peak season, but the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. A great spot if you enjoy long walks by the sea, good food nearby, and a mix of relaxation and entertainment.

The photos are taken after a storm. The beach is covered with sand and a few clams. You don't need special shoes for going into the sea as the first meters are with sand and clams, but after that it's only sand. There are multiple restaurant/beach clubs which offer sunbeds for 10 euro/person, drinks not included.

This is a truly surreal and stunning experience. Highly recommend at least once on your life. We took a tour bus which on total is a 11 hr day but totally worth it with no hassle. Costs £5 each to enter each mosque.

Great place for a day trip. If you are driving, you will enjoy the wide and safe road. You can go to the top by driving your car. Hiking route is also available. Overall, the scenic view is breathtaking and humans capability of building churches and residences are absolutely surreal!

An amazing experience - far exceeded our expectations. We visited St Nicholas & Varlaam monastries. St Nicholas was small with lots of steps but was fantastic. Not very busy. Varlaam was larger & easier to access. The art work in both is stunning. Having a guide to explain was useful. The views are breathtaking.

We absolutely loved the visit to Monasteries in Meteora. It was so peaceful! We visited two - one with Monks and second with Nuns. Both were equally beautiful and well maintained. Views from these locations were breathtaking!! 😍😍

I was overwhelmed!!! The unique beauty of the area topped off with the monasteries on top of the unique rock formations was breathtaking. We hired a guide and went as early as possible. Dress code for men and woman to enter the monastery. 5€ to enter each one. A couple are a lot of climbing up stairs.

One of the worlds’ most visited monuments. It is an experience not to miss. Tip:you may also find 3D binoculars/ augmented reality somewhere in town (we didn’t know but we saw many people using them) to help you understand how the building used to be in ancient times.

A must visit when visiting the peloponnese, has so much history and great things too see. I went because my wife is really into old things but as a neutral I found the place fascinating with information boards all around the site telling you what each rock was and what it was for. The tickets are well priced for what's included and will take up 3 hours or more of your day. There's also plenty of shaded areas as it does get hot in the sun.

Very interesting to see, where the Olympics originated (both the historical site itself as the two museums) One about the history of the site, the other one about the history of the (old) Olympic Games. With one ticket you can visit all three locations. It is a walkable distance from each other. As for the archaeological site... amazing!!!

this is a massive area of archeological exploration. it is the home of the worlds first stadium dedicated to athletic competition. the start line is still there. it boasts large training areas, roman baths and temples. the area is relatively flat and easy to negotiate. this multiple acre dig really gives the visitor a feeling of what their lives were like. the museum has an amazing number of relics from the grounds. this is apparently the site of the olympic games. our guide the importance of these games in opening the doors to peace.

Amazing to walk through so much history - having a guide to explain the finer details was extremely helpful. The size of the site & all of the various buildings across Greek & Roman history was fascinating. Worth the bus trip.

We spent hours here. It's absolutely amazing. We first came on the August full moon but due to local fires it was closed. We spent 3-4 hours in the 2 museums and we had about an our in the archaeological site, we could have done with at least another 30 minutes at least. It really is impressive and a must for visiting. The ticket for the 2 museums and site costs 20 euro per person. Children were free. You can purchase your tickets at all 3 places and where ever you buy it that's where you have to enter first.

Wow first time here . Wasn't that busy we had 2 hours to walk around where the first Olympics were held. A lot of bits and pieces marble. The museum was cool alot of artifacts and info.

Beautiful views from the top, the panoramas are really worth it. Unfortunately, the site itself is poorly maintained, not really visitable inside, and the €20 entrance fee is absolutely too much. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price – €5–10 would be more appropriate considering the limited access and its recent history.

A fantastic place to visit in Nafplio! The view from the top is absolutely stunning, especially when the water around the town turns that beautiful blue-green turquoise shade. There are several viewpoints around the fortress, so take your time to walk around and enjoy the different perspectives. There’s also a small café inside for a quick break. You can either climb up the famous stairs or drive up — both options are worth it. The only downside is that the ticket price feels a bit high, but overall, it’s definitely worth the visit for the view alone!

Absolutely gorgeous views and a very impressive fortress. The architecture and preservation is amazing. We had so much fun exploring and there seemed to be a new view around every corner. I was surprised they even had a little snack cafe’ in the main area and it appeared they were working on some sort of museum as well. Oh…bring good shoes with traction. You’ll thank me later.

The view from the top is breathtaking — you can see the entire town of Nafplio, the sea, and the surrounding mountains. It’s worth every single step of the climb (or drive up if you prefer). The fortress itself is massive, beautifully preserved, and full of history. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring the different bastions, tunnels, and stone pathways. Every corner has a different perspective and photo opportunity. It’s peaceful, scenic, and gives you a real sense of Greek history and architecture. Whether you hike up the 999 steps or drive to the entrance.

The fortress is an impressive place with amazing views over Nafplio and the sea. The history and atmosphere are truly worth experiencing. However, the entrance fee (20€ per person) feels a bit high, especially since there’s no museum or additional exhibition inside. It takes no time at all to climb the stairs, but walking down the road will take you about an hour.

The Palamidi Fortress, a grand and impressive Venetian fortress, is nestled on the crest of a high hill overlooking Nafplio. A must-see sight, it feels like a never-ending structure that sprawls across most of the hill. It’s a top destination to visit if you’re nearby, as exploring it and learning about its rich history can take two hours or more. You can access it by climbing 913 steps from the town of Nafplio or by car/taxi, which brings you directly to the fortress entrance, where parking is available. We recommend arriving early, as the parking fills up quickly. The fortress also offers free public restrooms, a bar, and a museum shop.

Beautiful beach with nice clear water, but the people ruin the whole experience. No free umbrellas, better buy one for 10 euros and use it in the free zone. By 2:00 pm 2,3 water taxis with 300 people each pour out and the whole idyll on the beach is ruined. The sand is fine, but full of thorns from the trees.

Beautiful beach with lots of natural shade, and also a beautiful forest with a lake just next to the beach. Enjoyed every moment here. Beach bars are whatever tho but they have everything you need like coffees, drinks and food.

Beautiful sandy beach and clear blue water. There is a charge for the beds, local restaurant is nearby serving drinks and fantastic food. Sadly the toilets were not working so we had to walk 20 minutes to the other side of the beach. The beds are close together, its Europe so expect smokers and sadly that's all they do.

Considering this is one of the most popular beaches we had a great day here. We didn't get sunbeds but there are lots of trees where you can go in the shade. The water was great for snorkelling. There is nice beach bars too, changing places and a shower which is handy. The bus drops you right to the beach which was great.

A go to beach, perfect sand, clean water, and its big so its never actually overcrowded. Its pricey cause its popular, a normall frape will cost you not less than 4.5 e, a beer 5-7 e (small-big) and sunbeds are 30e, but you can find place in the shade beneath the pine trees which are practically everywhere, and the smell they give is perfect.

Nice beach, with a lot of natural shade from the pine trees. But also a lot of pine needles. The water is amazing, clear.
