The presentation was most informative and interesting, answering all the questions the audience had. The tour itself was a little short as it didn't show some of the steps that would be interesting such as the pressing and the pressure of the press. If this is not feasible then picture brochures would be informative. Also disappointed in not receiving at least a disc with the company logo as a souvenir or even the good, bad, and ugly discs. For promo material, the excellent guide should push to view the souvenir shop. I can imagine not all visitors are aware of the items for sale.

Absolutely stunning!!! From a distance we sit and stare at the castle, but to walk up and around inside gives you a whole other perspective. Stunning scenic outlook being so up high, from all angles and so much history to absorb. Highly recommend! We loved it and are so glad we came to stay and experience the beautiful hillside town of Mertola in South Portugal.

If you happen to be passing through then it is a worth a wander round the castle. As the views are good, looking in both directions along the Guadiana river and the town. Although it's not as spectacular as the castle at Beja.

Really enjoyed our visit. The town is fabulous around the castle with cobbled streets and picturesque buildings. It is a bit of a climb to the castle but not too bad. Once there, there is an excavation underway of roman ruins around the castle which is very interesting with plenty of view points. The castle offers fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. We visited in November and it was free.

We stumped up on this little beautiful peaceful well maintained town on the way from Spain to Lisbon. The castle is so well maintained with all renovated levels that have wooden and marble stairs and museum floors with a local staff who was extremely nice and knowledgeable to tell us about the town. Everyone who worked here was so nice, proud and educated of their own town. The entry fee is FREE. I'm super impressed with how they very well managed to maintain their history, the whole neighborhood and castle. So much respect for these people and this town. The whole atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing. We also stopped by a restaurant down the tiny street and the food was so delicious and healthy. Highly recommended!

Well worth the drive. Start early, it gets hot quickly & wear good footgear. We took a picnic to enjoy there. Please please take your rubbish back with you. We were so disappointed to see the carelessness of visitors before us.

We drove from the West. Quite a long drive along bumpy narrow roads eventually leading to a dirt track for the last 1.5km. Google tries to take you off road but follow the signposts through the village instead. The rock formations are interesting but quite honestly not worth the trip. There is a footpath along the west but on the east side there are boardwalks. No toilet facilities. The water looked polluted with scum and foam. So many nicer places to go to so I don't recommend this one unless you happen to be nearby.

This is far better in person than it is in pics. The gorge is other-worldly and I have seen no other place like it. However, other than a few tiny spots, there are no beach or swim areas here and accessing the river is somewhat difficult, except for a tiny unmarked path past the 'merendas' area. Even this is difficult. NOT for children to play or bath in. To reach the access, do not follow trail markings once you pass the gate. I did and it just took me in circles once I passed the dry brook. Better to drive past the gate (close behind you) and just drive down the well kept gravel road till the end. The other side you see marked on Google maps is a "Pesadiços" boardwalk that is quite extensive, but has no access to the river edge.

An unforgettable experience. I recommend. Note that the site is next to a café by the river and only opens at 4.30 pm. The phone is a simple answering machine. Pay only at the moment. You can book online without paying.

I am extremely dissatisfied. I had called before to clarify whether my 15-year-old son could do this alone. This was confirmed! Then I told them that I have about two hours to travel and would be leaving now. When we arrived, they said he couldn't travel alone as he wasn't 18y. old and wouldn't be able to get back across the river on his own. So the journey was for nothing. The treatment was also disappointing: while the men were friendly but reserved, the woman at the counter was dismissive. This was not the service I had expected.

Great way to spend a few hours.... obviously the zip line itself takes a minute, but both villages either side of thr river are well worth a look.

This was my third jump with LimiteZero, with previous jumps in 2015 and 2019 with different groups of friends, and the first two were excellent with everything easy and well laid-out. On this occasion, the website would not permit us to book or pay - there was an error on both occasions that we tried. I followed up by email, and they accepted our booking and said we could pay on arrival. When we arrived, there was some confusion, but we were able to pay and jump. On previous occasions, we have been given information on how to purchase photos of our jump when we landed, but that didn't happen on this occasion; the photographer was busy taking photos of other jumpers and in a roped off area, so we assumed the process had changed since the pandemic and contacted LimiteZero about the photos the following day. Unfortunately, if you don't speak with the photographer immediately on landing, the photos are deleted. The photographer was dismissive and unpleasant when I contacted him, directly blaming me for not knowing how the process worked, which was a sad ending to the experience. I'd recommend that LimiteZero return to providing information on landing. The jump itself still feels safe and well-prepared, but the admin surrounding it could be improved. Note that the ferry from Alcoutim runs half-hourly; if you're coming from Portugal, allow time to get across the river, and remember that Spain is one hour ahead.

Overall an exceptionally good day. The day started slowly with a slow up stream journey. Then we stopped at the riverside to visit the farm. A hot walk up the hill, and so several of the group went swimming in the pool. Then lunch, the best food and entertainment I have had on many Day Excursions. How the host team kept changing roles and languages was remarkable. All of them helped to make a memorable day, Well Done.

I’m not a local guide and therefore I’ll post a real review if you’re 60+ and enjoy an ‘on the rails experience’, where you are treated like children or a geriatric, then this is the tour for you. Super basic, if this cost €25, I wouldn’t mind But for €50, you get treated to a meal that costs maybe €5 - you don’t even get your own water glass you have to share it with your wine glass to stop you drinking too much The staff were friendly, but the main owner literally treats everybody like children. He literally stops and stares at people if they dared to talk during one of his recountings in three different languages. The tannoy system on repeat tells everybody what they can and cannot do in the swimming pool And everybody is made to walk 10 minutes in boiling conditions up a hill. I had to help carry a lady up the hill who was suffering. There is transportation, but it’s not sufficient for the number of people that need help. I accept that this probably wasn’t my cup of tea , but being told off repeatedly for not walking in a straight line or taking a shortcut is just frankly insulting. Additionally, the forced entertainment and for singalongs after lunch was probably the final straw for me.

This was the ‘Moorish Tour’. I paid 56€. I did this excursions by myself and soon made a friend as the day went on. It was half safari and half river cruise, making this an all day excursion. It starts in Vila Real de Santo Antonio (VRSA) via Jeep and brings you back to the same location via boat. The day starts of with meeting at the meeting point near the port in VRSA. You get put into groups according to what language you speak and then you are put on the jeeps. On the ‘off roads’ you are allowed stand up in the jeep but hold on tight. On the main roads you have to remain seated and belted as by law. The jeeps travel in a convoy through the Nature Reserve. Where you can see flamingos and natural salt. You stop off at a place where they male natural jams, salts and chutneys. You can have a taste and buy some products (don’t feel obliged, but they had really nice products). The jeep then goes on and shows you some more natural parts and produce of the land. Around 1pm you stop at the farm and have lunch. There is also a bar ( which is not included in the excursion price)and a swimming pool (so bring swimwear). Lunch is served inside: Starters- Vegetable soup and freshly made cheese Main- Chicken, salad, potatoes Dessert- Organic Oranges Live traditional Portuguese music is played and the staff also sing some lovely songs. After lunch, you walk down to the boat and take a cruise up to VRSA, passing under the international bridge. Which connects Portugal and Spain. On the boat there is a bar and live music. To me this was the most slow part of the day and I wished there was a bit more happening on the boat and maybe louder music so people could dance a sing. This is the main reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The boat pulls into VRSA port where the excursion ends. I was made aware by others on the excursion that this company does transfers from your hotel to VRSA. As I was staying in VRSA I didn’t need this service.

Not a cruise but a party boat for all ages. Interesting day out where everything worked like clockwork. The boat was comfortable and the village we stopped at was really unusual. Lunch and the entertainment was lovely. All of the people who worked at Riosul drove, waited on tables and performed. Surprisingly no tips were sought. All in all recommended very highly.

No animals in cages, renovated time or just dead park , very sadly

There are abandoned dogs inside the "zoo". We asked in the office and there were just excuses, the park is not maintained at all. A pity, the location and design is quite good. Also all the doors but one were closed.

To go from feeling wonderfully content and happy to be in such a beautiful town, to moments later being truly disturbed by the lifeless animals pacing up and down with glazed looks in their eyes due to sheer boredom. I 100% agree with rescuing endangered species but too keep a tiger on its own in a tiny, grassless and baron enclosure seems to be the opposite of letting the animal live on in a protected environment. How for a moment this is happening is beyond me, when across the world there are so many wonderful places where the animals have a great deal of enjoyment and stimulation.

Great little place considering it is free but some parts were being reconstructed so no lions this time. I would agree that the animals do look a bit cramped and a bit sad. I think it would be better to have less animals and more space for them.

Dolmen de Soto (Andalusia, Spain) was rediscovered in 1922, located in the municipality of Trigueros (Huelva) is one of the most important and best preserved megalithic sites of the peninsula. As a historic site I would rate it five stars. As a visitor experience it is one star because despite signs on the gate giving opening hours, it is definitively CLOSED for conservation. Don’t be fooled by the write-ups which say it re-opened in December. Maybe it did, but it is closed now.

We had an excellent guide who took us through the history of Dolmen de Soto. I learnt that they found evidence which dates back nearly 6000 years ago. It was all very fascinating 👏 😊

The Dolmen is fantastic, a must see. Great effort has been made to restore and preserve this historic monument. The interpretive center and staff are wonderful. The resources for English speakers are limited to subtitles on the video presentation but our experience was excellent. This is a lovely site that should not be missed.

It was truly magical. The landscape is so pretty! The camels are very friendly and the staff is really kind. You get an optional walk on the camel, then you get tea and dates while they explain things about the camels, a tour of the farm and wash your hands with natural, organic, eco-friendky soap made from camel milk. What an amazing experience. The camel ride through the dunes was just wonderful. Then afterwards a talk about camels filled with very interesting information - we had no idea just what unique and amazing animals they are… they’ve got a lot more going on than long eye lashes and water storage!! The love of camels by the owner was really special and we adored the whole experience. A total bargain and not to be missed.

The unexpected highlight of our holiday. My teenage son and I thoroughly enjoyed the camel ride through the dunes, followed by tea and dates and a really interesting talk about Camels . My husband was also welcomed into the farm for the tea and talk even though he didn't book a camel ride. A five star experience , highly recommended .

We booked our Doñana jeep tour with them after reading the reviews and they didn't disappoint. Fran, our guide, was highly knowledgeable and made it very entertaining and enjoyable. We were super lucky and spotted a lynx! Also several deer, endangered birds and bunnies. They gave us increible insights about the Spanish Serengeti and one could feel the passion to share and protect Doñana. A beautiful park with a great guided bus tour! They provide binoculars and our guide was absolutely great and pointed out so many different types of birds. We went early in the morning and it was a beautiful place to see the sunrise!

The morning tour was great. Very good english translation. We saw a lot of special birds and flamingos as well as deers and a fox. Maybe it should start a bit earlier to see more animals.

Excellent tour with Nacho, who gave the tour both in English and Spanish. He was extremely knowledgeable and kept us fully informed for the 3.5 hour duration. Although we didn't see any iberian lynx, there were plenty of deer, birds and other animals and insects that we saw and learnt about in the park.

The atmosphere at the entrance was more relaxed compared to other major landmarks. My friend who lives in Seville was able to enter for free at any time without a designated time slot.

We visited the Cathedral of Virgin Mary, popularly known as the Cathedral de Sevilla as a part of a small group guided tour. The guide Martha was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. The cathedral itself has much signs of Islamic influence when compared to its counterpart in Cordoba. But its a stunning structure nonetheless & covers a huge area. The golden altar, the magnificent choir, the tomb of Christopher Columbus, his son and the famed Bell Tower, Giralda were some of the highlights. I would highly recommend this attraction to visitors to this beautiful city.

Very lovely cathedral with lots to read about ! You do need to be modest to enter, no exposed shoulders or knees. They do give out blue shawls you can buy before entering so you are not denied entry. You can go to the top of the bell tower which is about 40 or more flights up, but it is a ramp not stairs. Very worth it though ! There’s pockets of balconies you can sit along the way up too. It is in the city in a lovely part of of town, so you can visit other places as well.

Greatly enjoyed Seville and booked our tour through Get your Guide(small group, English speaking)our guide was very user friendly, knowledgeable and professional. There were many tours going on, but we never stalled out waiting to get in or waiting to get into a specific room, she knew her stuff and timed our coming and going appropriately. Worth every penny!

An absolutely magnificent cathedral — truly breathtaking in size, detail, and history. The interior is stunning, with beautiful altars, artwork, and impressive architecture throughout. Seville Cathedral is breathtaking — its sheer size and intricate details leave you in awe. The views from La Giralda tower make the climb completely worth it. Legendary building in Sevilla This is a beautiful tower in Andalusia. Part of the BIG 3 you have to do, with the Mezquita, the Giralda and obviously l'Alhambra. The Giralda is a beautiful tower sitting right in the town centre or the old town. It is a fabulous building and looks really grand. It can obviously be visited but you really need to book for this like most impressive sites in Spain. Highly recommended we really enjoyed it!

We visited on a weekday afternoon and had to line up several times — first to get in, then again for audio guides, and finally to enter La Giralda. The tower is well laid out, with around 35 ramps and rest stops along the way for those who need them. Most people should be able to make the climb without too much trouble. However, it was extremely crowded. The path is narrow, so you go up and down in a single file, often shoulder to shoulder with others. Once at the top, you line up again just to get a view out of each window, and there are fences that make it hard to get a clear look. There didn’t seem to be any real crowd control at the top, which really took away from the experience. If you’re claustrophobic, I’d skip this part. There are plenty of other great spots in Seville to see panoramic views of the city. The cathedral itself was much more enjoyable — there were clear signs and pamphlets explaining the art and architecture. That said, unless you get the audio guide, there’s not much context provided about the tower itself.

La Giralda is a former Muslim minaret transformed into a church bell tower, symbolizing the fascinating transition from one culture to another. The construction itself is magnificent, a true masterpiece of architecture. Be prepared for a bit of a workout—the climb to the top can be challenging, but it’s absolutely worth it. The panoramic views of Seville from above are breathtaking. I highly recommend this unforgettable experience.

The area encompassing the open area next to the Seville Cathedral and surroundings. The history is amazing. There is a large sistern below the outdoor open area enclosed by the walls of the Giralda. This was essential for providing clean cool water to the town in antiquity. The Guadalquivir River was likely not the best place to get drinking water due to the number of upstream towns and villages likely dumping sewer into the river.

The tour is about 35 ramps with only steps at the end so easier to manage for old and young. Originally it was so guards on horseback could ride to the top. It was totally busy at 4 pm on a Monday in October. Tickets in advance are necessary unless it’s really off season. Shoulders must be covered and anyone showing up in a tank top could buy a wrap for 3€. They said legs should be covered to the knees but there were plenty of shorts that they didn’t make an issue of.

Giralda is the tower of the Sevilla Cathedral. It has no steps, just a continuous ramp up to the top, which makes it very easy to climb. The space is wide for a bell tower. The views from the top are amazing. I bought the tickets online, so there was no waiting for us.

The interior of this cathedral was very ornate with beautiful gold sculptures. I bought a ticket for a smaller Church nearby which included a ticket to the cathedral. This allowed me to bypass the very long line to buy tickets at the cathedral. The other church was nice too.

We bought our tickets in advance for 22:00 but luckily we were able to change the time of the ticket to see the sunset from here. It was absolutely stunning and nice to have a view from above. Unfortunately we had to leave for another appointment before seeing the light show at night. But if you have time linger around. This was great!

One of the best parts of my 3 months in Europe traveling!! A beautiful structure you could spend hours looking over the city at. I went at 6:45 after booking an online reservation about 2 days prior due to still being lots of tourists in the area. It was the perfect time! I beat somewhat of the sunset rush, so I could explore the structure and see it during the daytime. Then returned to the main viewpoint to watch the sunset and the lights turn on. It does get extremely busy around sunset, with very little space at the top miradouro. A rooftop bar in the surrounding area would have just as good views with less crowds BUT staying up after sunset allows you to see the lights turn on from the top which is SOO cool. The little film they show at the end is interesting and the theater is well kept with comfortable seating. Well worth the €16 I spent for full admission!

I enjoyed the Setas. It's a large structure made to resemble mushrooms. There is a deck above the ground level which anybody can access. The view is nice. You can also pay yo go up on an elevator to the top for a view of the city. There is an indoor market in the ground floor area that has all sorts of vendors. They have various good seafood vendors. There are coffee shops and tapas bars. It's a neat place to hang out got a while and just browse. If your in Seville for a couple days it's well worth checking out.

Love the look of the design and was pleasantly surprised at how well the structure fitted into the surroundings. If you wish to see the sunset, buy tickets at least 2 days in advance. We didn't buy tickets to see the sunset because we bought them 24 hours before, and the first available tickets were at 20:00. This is a good time to see the light show. The light show is with music, and it is a little crowded, but everyone gets a chance to take photos and videos if they wait for a few minutes. You can watch a short movie included in the ticket, and I suggest watching it. You can spend as much time there as you want. It's a must-visit when in Seville.

Standing beneath this structure and looking up is truly awe inspiring. In the evening, colored lights are shifting and moving around inside the structure which makes it even more magical. Underneath this statue at the ground level is a market for meat, fish and a couple tapas bars that are also quite good. The market is only open in the morning and early afternoon. At one end of the statue is a large staircase where there is often live music played by street musicians. Down below the market are some Roman ruins.

Personally I felt this was a huge let down. It is amazing from the ground but you could see certain blocks that weren’t lighting up, but we had to see what the hype was about, so we paid the $16 euros each and went to the top. The idea is a good one with light mood music being played and the lights moving and lighting in unison to the music. The downside to this is the street performers directly below you playing AC/DC, Guns N Roses, and, I kid you not, N-Sync. These performers drown out any music related to the lights. Next for the lights. They need to do some maintenance, because a large percentage of the lights aren’t working, you can see this in the pics and videos. Basically they built something that is cool in concept but they haven’t maintained it. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of two is for the immersive movie at the end, very cool and a must see. Pretty much all I found this good for was to go up to have a 360* view of the skyline and sights but it is DEFINITELY NOT worth $16 euros, maybe 8-10.

A nice, mostly wooden structure with a great viewpoint. At the top there’s a walkway and an information board showing which landmarks you’re looking at. In my opinion it’s nicer in the evening, because the landmarks are lit up and the structure itself has a light show. The entrance fee of €16 per person is a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth it.

Make sure you book at least one to two weeks in advance — it fills up fast, and with good reason. The Alcázar is absolutely breathtaking. The detail in the architecture is something else — arches, tiles, carvings, gardens… it’s a living masterpiece. The Mudejar style (that blend of Islamic and Christian design) gives it such a layered, soulful feel. You can really feel the history here — not just see it. We decided to book the 8:30am VIP tour with GetYourGuide, and it was one of the best decisions of our trip. No queues, no chaos — we were inside before the heat and the crowds. Anna, our guide, was phenomenal. So passionate, informed, and completely in love with the place — her energy brought it all to life. Worth every single cent. Go early, go with a guide, and take it all in slowly.

The Royal Alcazar of Seville is a beautiful palace & garden in the centre of the historic old town centre of Seville. Architecture & art from the 11th century are on display - from the Andalusian era, Gothic from the time of Alfonso X, & Mudejar from the time of Pedro I. The carved plaster & stone wall friezes, colourful geometric wall tiles, & Mudejar painted & copper covered mahogany wooden ceilings are exquisite. The formal gardens are extensive & offer glimpses of water pools & fountains, amongst trees & sculptured hedges. Booking in advance is essential, & allow up to 3 hours for the visit. There is a really nice cafe in the garden, serving drinks, cakes, & light snacks, & this is reasonably priced. This is a world heritage site for good reason - this is truly a world class historic attraction. 10/10.

We spent an entire afternoon visiting this his historic royal palace. We enjoyed meandering through the rooms and admiring the art and architecture. The gardens outside were so beautiful and offered additional views of the exterior architecture. We walked, sat, and admired the beauty all around us.

Honestly, the place is pure magic. I’ve seen countless pictures, but nothing prepared me for how breathtaking it is in person. The sheer amount of detail in the architecture is incredible, and you can see so much history in the different styles. The gardens are a whole other level—they're huge and so beautiful, with hidden corners and fountains everywhere. It’s the perfect escape from the city heat. I could have happily spent the entire day just wandering through them. My biggest recommendation, especially if you're visiting in the summer, is to pre-book your tickets online. Seriously, don't even think about showing up to buy them on the day. The lines can be absolutely brutal, and you'll spend a ton of time waiting in the heat. Booking online gets you a specific time slot and lets you skip the main queue, so you can head straight to security and start exploring right away. It's the best way to make sure you get in and make the most of your visit without any stress.

Amazing palace and gardens. Don't just go there during the day. The light show Naturaleza Encendida in the evenings (Oct till March, I think) is well worth the separate ticket too (dress well, it's much more chilly inside the gardens than outside in the streets).

Nice building. Beautiful architecture and gardens. Everything is beautiful, but I wasn't blown away by it. I'm not sure why, and think it's either personal preference or my mood that day. I wish more places included arrows or maps because we nearly missed a lot of what there is to see.

Interesting to see a castle transition from Muslim to Christian nobility. Very few people venture far into the gardens, so peaceful. While the tickets are timed, you can show up to 30 minutes after the selected time. If after your selected time, you can just walk in without the line. The free audio guide is good, although you have to skip through advertising for the paid version.

The park is so beautiful and lovely! I simply enjoyed the vibe here and had a wonderful time just taking a morning walk in it. You can feel the balanced mixture of nature and human in this place, all the colors and cool architectures are also making visiting this place a unique experience. Definitely recommend to come and visit, such a nice place to chill and relax.

The world famous Plaza de Espana is residing inside the Maria Luisa Park. After watching so many beautiful pictures of this place, I finally made it to get there this past July. Though the weather was scorching hot at >95F during the summer, it was still rewarding to visit this magnificent place. The Plaza was built around 1928 to show case Spanish heritages and history. Thus you can find sections of the regions decorted by colorful ceramic tiles to illustrate their cultures. The plaza has a built-in small canal for boating. But it was closed at the time when an outdoors concert was set up, incidently, the concert stage also consumed most of the plaza real estate. But that did not stop the daily activities at the plaza. A group of artists performed the Flamenco dance in the square, which really highlighted the Spaniards' passion. I was told the dance was originated in Seville. And Seville used to be the center of Spain before Madrid became the Capital. The are plenty of suveniors to buy at the square. The most popular one is probably the castanet after watching the Flemenco dance. Highly recommend this place if you visit Sevelli.

Lovely park with beautiful plants, lots of animals and a bunch of interesting sights. Perfect for both a walk and also just to chill due to several benches where you can relax in the shadow. Cicadas can be a bit loud depending on the season and the horse carriages leave behind their dumps everywhere, leading to bad smell at some areas.

What a fantastic place to visit, and walk around. We used the Hop on Hop off bus to get there, it was so easy. You can spend a couple of hours walking round.

The amounts spent on these construction projects are just mind-blowing. And when you remember how many people lost their health or even died there, it gets uncomfortable. 1. Tourists today admire the marble, the gold, the columns—but for someone, all this cost a life. Nobody remembers the names of the workers, though nothing would exist without them. 2. Sometimes I look at these buildings and think: was all this beauty really worth those sacrifices? For some, it’s a symbol of the nation, but for others, it’s years and strength lost. Honestly, I’m always a bit envious of the architects of that time—to plan something on this scale takes real talent. But at the same time, I feel for those who paid for this “eternity” with their health. I can’t feel just one way about it. The architecture is impressive, but the price was enormous. Sometimes you look at a cathedral and realize there’s a heavy shadow behind all that beauty. What about you? Can you just admire places like these, or do you also think about the price?

Sept 2025. Wow! Time was lost as soon as we arrived. Spent a good part of the day just cruising around this gorgeous place and beautiful parks surrounding it. Was easy to walk around, not hoards of tourists (even though i was one haha). The water and bright green flora just popped colour against the majestic architectural marvel that commands its prescence in a humongous semicircle. There are 52 mosaics with tiles representing each province (i didnt count them to check ok). The beautiful Vicente Traver Fountain is in the centre with bridges crossing the canal, good photo opportunities!! It was also a back drop for Star Wars II. Cool. Rent a boat and bob around the small canals for something a bit different, you may spot some fish swimming happily underneath and ducks nurturing their babies, cute as. Part of the building is used by government institutions too. There were some VERY talented musicians playing underneath/amongst the super grand stairways leading up to some great viewpoints. And when you're done with all the beauty of this place, you can check out a couple of stalls out the front, then walk and embark on another adventure, the grand parks and grounds surrounding this place emersed with its own history and beauty. Great place for fitness and many people running, cycling, walking and chilling. My advice, don't skip this place, its a feast for the soul ;)

Oh my goodness. This is an absolute must to see. Worth coming to Seville just to see this. It's absolutely stunning and photos cannot do it justice. As you walk around it, you get to see yet another photo you just have to take. Can't recommend this more. Also, next to it resides a stunning park with lots of interesting structures or features interspersed within it. I recommend doing a zigzag walk through it to find them all. Made for a very satesfying day

Visited Plaza de España in Seville early in the morning in October 2025 to beat the crowds. Built in the 1920s, it features stunning semi-circular architecture blending Spanish Renaissance and Moorish styles, with colorful tiles, fountains, canals, and ornate bridges—truly a photogenic and iconic landmark. When we visited, the canal was dry, but when filled, visitors can row boats along the curved canal for a unique view of the bridges and colonnades. Horse-drawn carriage rides around the plaza and nearby Parque de María Luisa offer a classic, leisurely way to explore the area. We also saw a couple of locals selling souvenirs on the ground. A must-see when visiting Seville!

Loved this Planet Naboo scenery in Seville (Star Wars fan here). It is breathtakingly beautiful and one rarely gets to see something of this scale in real-life. It is simply majestic to visit.

The Plaza de España is one of the most beautiful squares I have ever seen. The majestic central palace blends seamlessly with the serene water canal, creating a truly breathtaking scene. In front of the square, there is a charming garden that adds even more to the beauty of the place. You can also admire the detailed mosaics, each one depicting the history of a different Spanish city—a wonderful way to explore the country’s heritage in one spot. Best of all, the entrance is free, and I highly recommend visiting if you come to Seville.

Magnificent! A simply amazing place to visit. Nobody wouldn't like the beautiful architectures and the smart designs. It really deserves the name of "Plaza de España", it truly shows how grand an empire was and how brilliant the people were. Visited twice, both in the morning and the evening, and both breathtakingly beautiful. I really like the fountain, not a big fan of the horse carts though. In general really a landmark and nice place you wouldn't want to miss when in Seville.

Great race track, super cafe under the stand for food, drinks & brilliant viewing

Great parking and quick entrance process compared to other tracks we have been at with WSBK. Small regarding food, drink and merchandise but it seems to work. Not a lot of shelter if the days are really hot so advised to take an umbrella for the shade. Over all a good experience.

A fantastic circuit in the very south of Spain. Very friendly staff and the track is in great conditions. We wend with ca. 45 customers with the Yamaha Riding Academy from Switzerland. We will be happy to come back!

We’ve been coming here for several years, spending around £1000 each time, and now we’re told we can’t use cameras — that’s insane. We need the video footage for analysis, and on top of that, the security guard was rude and arrogant. You should post such information on your website — your sales will definitely drop, as everyone will prefer to go to another GP track with normal rules.

Went to see the final round of WSBK. I hope to come back for MotoGP. Great track. Easy park. Stand is great. View of 6 or 7 corners.

One to the world superbike finale. 10 out of 10 for atmosphere spectator viewing superb and one of my favorite tracks. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere at WSBK’s final round of 2025. Nice accessibility for stands X1, paddock and main stands. However, food was not comparable with events like Assen or Most.

This was our third visit to Arcos de la Frontera and the first time the church was open and it did not disappoint with lots of beautiful artwork and a beautiful alter. Admission was just €2. This is a late Gothic hall-church, with three naves of equal height and a monumental curved apse. The naves are separated by circular pillars made of beamed rods, supporting complex star-ribbed vaults. Although everything inside is worthy of admiration, it is worth noting the Retablo Mayor, an altarpiece which is a true Renaissance jewel; the Gothic mural painting; the uncorrupted mummy of San Felix; the Nieves chapel which houses the image of the patron of Arcos; the extravagant organ and the choir, considered one of the best in Andalusia.

This basilica is a beautiful display of how rich this region used to be during the 14 - 17th century. Almost everything here is made of gold. And the scale of the carvings and central display is huge. Additionally, the viewing tower is a definite must to see and hear. There are many bells on the top that sing every hour. And the views of the area can be captured here on the tower. Overall, this is a must visit when in Arcos.

You can't come to Arcod de la Frontera without going up the tower of this church! Amazing views and the church itself is a delight.

Impressive church from out and inn. And the church bell tower is worth special attention. It is worth to climb 100 steps for breathtaking views of the town and surroundings. One of the best tower views you can find in Spain!

This largely Gothic styled church was built around the 15th century. It sits atop the limestone cliffs of Arcos on Plaza del Cabildo - a square which is essentially a carpark and also the location of the Parador de Turismo. You'll be rewarded with some great views overlooking the countryside from the mirador or visit the bar in the Parador for an even better view and a refreshing drink after the steep climb to get here. If you're mobility restricted there is a small car park here and also taxis (probably the best option as the street are very narrow in places).

I loved the visit. You can ask for an introduction video of 20 minutes in your native language (at least English and French). The site shows pictures and explanation that throw you back in time.

it is really historical and nice town in Sevilla.. From Sevilla center you can go by bus or by car and it is around 20-30 minutes … It is good alternative to have a nice day and eat good food 😅 We ate in Plaza de Abastos and at Bar Goya … All of them was very nice but also i loved all the food at Bar Goya … Should mention quite expensive but good for some weekendvibes😇 I have put photo of our salad🤤 It is a small town but nice town for walk so it is better if you go when the weather is not so hot… During summer time it would be better to visit morning time or during late afternooon Or you can do what we did ; we ate all early afternnoon and waited for weather to be little cooler then we walked around😂😂 We were too full but also we 🔥 some calories for sure😊 Aaa i forget to mention that we had coffe too😌 In Carmona there is very beautiful Parador 🏨 and they have very nice view of surrounding area .. We only had coffe there and it was expensive again but could be nice experience to have rest over there… Otel has also some nice pool 🏊‍♀️ For you i have put some photos from there as well If you enjoy the day like i do let me know vale😇

Free to visit this is a very interesting place especially if you want to know more about Roman burials. Views of the surrounding countryside are also good. Certainly worth a visit.

Roman Necropolis on top of a hill overlooking surrounding area. It’s an beautiful area. Museum is very small. The necropolis contains the famous elephant tomb where a rich aristocrat’s family was thought to have been buried.

A great archeological site with an interesting museum and one of the most unique necropolis I've seen in any roman town across Europe. A must see when visiting Carmona!

A town full of history. The castle was the best choice to visit, amazing view over the city.

Great place to visit if you want to understand the city better. This fortress was first built way before roman times. You can clearly see the roman ruins and the ruins of the Arabic period, but the first layer of stones is from the Carthaginian period. The folder gives you a lot of explanation, as well as the texts you can find in one of the rooms. Audio is only in Spanish. Booking required for guided visits.

One of the oldest towns in europe. Great side trip from Seville. The parking is reasonable, with no entrance fee for the old walled city. There are several museums and churches to visit. A very laid back yet intersting place.

Wonderful architecture, a vast palace with several big gardens full of history. Be aware that, because of COVID19, you can only buy tickets online with credit card (code generator machine needed), so if you are coming from an outside country buy the tickets in advance.

On part of the old fortress walls in Carmona. Still majestic though only a small part of it remains. A great place to take photos or climb to the top to see the surrounding area.

Hours of history to explore. You can even use your phone for the audio guide. You can purchase tickets online to skip the line to buy them in person.

If you don't go up this place, you can't say you've seen this city. This is the most beautiful view point. If I should choose between a famous restaurant and this place in Carmosa, I choose this puerta.

We had very good introduction about the leather history of Ubrique. The staff was very funny and friendly. Highly recommend!

There are some fine examples of leather work, well worth seeing, but not a word of explanation in Spanish or English, possibly due to the leather manufacturer's quest for secrecy of their processes.

Well worth the hike to the top of the hill to view the old castle. Spectacular views of the village below and the country side. You can walk up to the tower and then back around the walls. It is free and open during daylight hours or until 9/10pm. You need good footwear as the rocks are slippery and unstable in places.

A nice castle with nice views. During our visit there was a significant amount of renovation work being done and the towers were not accessible. There is almost no parking close to the castle so we recommend parking in the town and walking up (it’s very steep). During off season you should be able to find parking nearby.

Beautiful spot in a sleepy local town. The views were stunning and populated with Birds of Prey. Eagles, Egyptian Vultures I think? We popped over on our wedding anniversary and found it a romantic quiet stroll.

Amazing Views. I wish there were more context. Unfortunately the path to the castle was littered with dog faeces - making the climb very unpleasant especially for those with kids who like to run around. Free to enter.

This is my third time back with FlySpain. Just completed a MentorPlus and CrossCountry courses, and again excellent! Great and knowledgeable staff. Made every effort to get us in the air but, also with respect to the weather and skill levels, kept it safe. Fred, Paolo, Rob and Nik with there decades of experience were fantastic instructors/guides. Went to a variety of locations based on conditions. Even a shuttle pick up and drop off from Malaga Airport is included! Excellent prices and accommodations are included as part of the course. Just a 10 minute walk to town for restaurants and groceries. Hope to be back again FlySpain!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FlySpain BHPA CP Course Review I completed my BHPA CP Paragliding course with FlySpain and couldn’t recommend them more highly. Instructors Fred and Rob were exceptional throughout. They struck a great balance between structure and flexibility, keeping safety at the core while adapting to each pilot’s level and confidence. Their pragmatic approach stood out. Those of us with a bit more experience were encouraged to progress faster and try more challenging tasks, while others received the extra guidance and coaching they needed. It created a supportive atmosphere where everyone could develop at their own pace without pressure or delay. The week was well organised, the equipment was in top condition, and the site offered a perfect range of conditions for learning. By the end, I felt genuinely confident flying independently, something that’s a credit to how Fred and Rob teach. If you’re considering learning to paraglide or completing your CP, FlySpain is a superb choice.

Rob, Dylan, Fred, Marcello, and Paolo are incredible instructors — professional, patient, and fully committed to helping every student get the best out of the course. The safety standards are top-tier, and it’s clear how much time and effort goes into every aspect of the training. Great accommodation and a friendly, supportive community made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend.

The instruction with Tony, Julio and Paulo over the two courses EP/CP was outstanding. Accommodation offers a choice of rooms and cooking facilities with a small pool close to town. Great team, efficient and your safety is paramount to them. Looking forward to returning for my MP!

I did the EP course here in late September/early October. The course and instructors were great and the accommodation was very pleasant to stay in. I would happily come here again for further training! It was also very enjoyable and informative being able to socialise with other paragliders who were staying in the same accommodation but doing different training.

This is my second time coming to Algodonales to do a course with FlySpain. I was on the Mentor Plus with Paolo and Dylan. I really enjoyed my time, despite being a group with varying airtime and experience the instructors made sure they catered to everyone’s abilities. Dylan and Paolo are very safety conscious, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I got a lot out of the week and was able to be pushed of my comfort zone because I felt so safe and seen (they always had eyes on us and were on the radio whenever it was needed). The instructors were open to my many questions and always had answers and ways to explain things so I could understand. My highlight was having my first thermalling flights! For a travelling dirt bag like myself the price is at my limit of my budget, but I believe it is worth it for the quality of the course, instructors and accomodation. The whole team is amazing. I would recommend this school to my friends and hope to be back again one day. Much love, thanks team!

My son and I have just returned from two weeks with FlySpain in Algodonales doing back to back EP and CP courses and to sum everything up in two words: SIMPLY FANTASTIC. We could not have asked for more. Our instructors, Marcelo, Julio, Fred & Dylan overseen by Rob, were all absolutely top draw. We could not have wanted for a more comprehensive, safe, teaching environment with great kit and weather. Nothing was too much trouble and every effort was made to create and enjoyable balance of theory and flying, resulting in some epic soaring flights, including nearly two hours at sunset over El Bosque. To cap things off, we stayed in FlySpain’s accommodation “The Eagle’s nest”, a very comfortable cluster of houses equipped with all mod cons, with outside terraces and pool, five minutes walk from the centre of Algo’ and its cafes and bars. Finally, a shout out to Nic, who clearly works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the show on the road and makes all of the organisation seem effortless. Truly an exceptional experience and thank you FlySpain for the life changing memories! I cannot recommend them enough.

I’ve been coming to Andalucia to cycle with Andalucian Cycling Experience for well over 10 years now racking up at least 4 or 5 trips in that time. This time was a little colder and I actually finally saw a couple of the very few rainy days in this region but I still had an excellent cycling trip. Ashley and the team are very flexible and have helped make it so easy to get across to cycle including organising airport transfers and hire bikes which have always worked well. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Ashley, Drew and Michael were absolute troopers ensuring to the daily organisation, enjoyment, safety and fun that we all shared on our bespoke cycling tour of Andalusia (May/June 2025). There's no doubt that Claire played a pivotal role in attending to the many trip logistics and from an accommodation perspective, our selected hotels were worthy of the properties where I would have certainly received a double pat on the back from the wifey, should I have booked them on our holiday in southern Spain 👉🏼😉. A special mention to our stay at the Hotel Reina Victoria Rhonda where the blood red sunset presented that elusive “stop the clock and savour the moment” event, enjoyed overlooking the 6th century BC old valley from the warm of the infinity pool. ACE supplied Willier and Bianchi carbon fiber road bikes that were in like new condition and accurately sized/setup based on our individual measurements that we had earlier provided. The road quality was surprisingly good for such an old agricultural region of Spain but ensure to use plenty of sunscreen if you’re planning to cycle there during Summer as we experienced constant mid-high 30’s and a blistering maximum temperature of 41°C whilst we were there… Considering the diverse terrain and potential heat of Andalucía during Summer, I would recommend Andorra to less competent riders seeking a cycling adventure of Spain. That said, I would highly recommend that you reach out to ACE should you be seeking to tour Europe on a bicycle supported by a friendly company that can competently manage all the necessary logistics.

I had an amazing week with Andalucian Cycling Experience. Everything was customized to exactly what I needed and wanted. They really bent over backwards when my luggage was delayed a day at the airport. All the arrangements were made ahead of time which made the traveling very easy and stress free. The hotel was fantastic and they shared some great dining recommendations. The cycling each day was great and the scenery was absolutely amazing. I really appreciated the personalized coaching and guiding each day. They have good quality bikes for rent and you can take your own shoes, pedals, and saddle if you want. I really built a lot of confidence in my bike handling skills over the week. I would definitely do this trip again and highly recommend it to anyone interested in cycling.

Had a most wonderful journey through Andalucia, taking in some of the most spectacular views you can imagine. ACE were incredible in helping us organise our bespoke tour and they went to great effort to accommodate our specific needs. Awesome trip.

Self-guided Sporting Tour (9 days) We enjoyed every pedal stroke of our self-guided sporting tour – absolutely stunning! Breathtaking landscapes, countless peaceful climbs, fresh mountain air, sunshine, hardly any traffic, and super-friendly people. The hotels were simple but spotless, with delicious breakfasts. All our wishes regarding route lengths and elevation gain were perfectly tailored. Transfers to and from the airport, as well as luggage transport from A to B to C worked out superb. Knowing that Ashley and Claire from Andalusian Cycling Experience had our backs in case of any emergency meant we could just focus on cycling and soaking it all in. What a truly memorable “bike more, worry less” adventure – the perfect way to end a fantastic 2025 season!

Our group of 5 did the self guided White Villages cycling trip though the Andalusians. It was spectacular. Ashley’s team supplied excellent e-bikes, well marked route maps, booked super hotels, and ensured our luggage was at our next location when we arrived. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the trip. Thank you!

I had a fantastic experience with Andalucian Cycling Experience. I am an amateur road racer in the US and wanted a week of training before the spring season to improve my endurance and climbing skills (and of course to ride in gorgeous southern Spain). I rode with Andalucian Cycling for one week with Ashley. There were three other riders who signed up that week and we were able to choose from two pace groups each day. Ashley took us on a different route every day with lengths around 80-100 km and provided a great pace that wasn't too aggressive but also challenged us (he is an incredible cyclist who seems to never get tired!). We had one rest day in the middle of the week and all of the rides included at least one coffee / toast stop. I had such a great time on this week of riding and felt like it helped me become a stronger rider, especially on long climbs. I rented a Wilier road bike, which was comfortable and fast. Ashley also set me up with housing in Ronda, which was a beautiful, newly-renovated apartment within walking distance of the historic core of Ronda. Ronda is such a lovely town to stay in and has great food options, beautiful surroundings and few tourists (at least in the winter). I will absolutely return to ride with Andalucian Cycling Experience again and 100% recommend it to other cyclists who are looking to enjoy beautiful scenic rides, improve their fitness and become stronger racers.
