Such a nice place. We went on a windy day and it wasn’t nice to go for a swim. The views are amazing. There are a lot of caves with long corridors inside- really impressive. The water looks amazing and you can spend 1-2hours just walking around. Free of charge. There is free parking. No easy access for handicapped.

A must go place in Milos. Better visit it in the morning with better sunlight and lesser people. Highly recommended to wear water shoes for easy walking and getting back to shores after swimming. Water is quite cold in October

Went here twice during our weeklong visit to Milos! This place is out of this world — definitely one of my favorite watering holes ever. I’d recommend going for sunrise or sunset to avoid the crowds.

Absolutely stunning! A must do in Milos. Went at sunrise and it can get crowded throughout the day, but totally worth it. Also, if you go explore farther to left you’ll be able to get away from the more touristy areas!

Really busy Lots of tavernas to choose from. Selling lovely Cretan dishes. Great shops down tiny little streets. Beautiful handmade wares. Stunning scenery in the little streets and across the harbour.. Well worth a day trip. Boat cruises for hire too.

Well worth a visit. I would suggest trying to get there early morning for breakfast and a walk. Late morning it was absolutely heaving with fierce competition for seats in the harbour restaurants. A walk into the harbour and along the outer harbour wall is a great experience set aside at least an hour to do the walk both ways. A number of places advertised real Greek food, but to be honest, the fare on offer was pretty similar in terms of an "intetnational" menu. The exception to this were a few better quality restaurants just on the edge of the main drag.

This place is absolute magic. The history of nearly 5000 years of civilization is on fully display here. The old Venetian port area is beautiful, restaurants are fantastic and the people are very friendly. Will definitely visit again!

Have been there 7 years ago, returned again for good wibes and memories. It's a gemstone of Venetian architecture with a bit of Ottoman influence, some ruination after WWII and flavours of Greek cuisine. Definitely worth a visit and a walk, if you're on the Crete island. Save couple of hours to stroll in the labyrinth of the narrow streets, wonder in the shops, savour some local food! Just enjoy it!

Clear clean water. The lighthouse. Views that one is not tired to make photos enough in any time of day. From land or when you get out with the glass bottom boat. I let here some of my photos. Enjoy..... And go to see by yourself. You will be astonished and happy relaxed all the time you are here.

Chania is an absolute must visit. Beautiful old harbour. Lots of fabulous shops, restaurants, bars. Those around the harbour front are no more expensive than the ones in the maze of streets behind. The streets behind have a great vibe both day and night. Chania is services by a great bus station with buses running into the early morning to outlying areas like Kato Stalis, Agia Marina, Platanias and much further. There is a wonderful fort to visit and the whole area is very safe. I just love it ❤️

The trip was about an hour and a half from where i'm staying.But after you get out of the hustle and bustle, the trip was awesome. A lot of places you could pull over and take pictures or just pull over and go down to the shore. The temple itself was twenty euros, which seemed kind of high.But I did have a good time and got plenty of pictures.

The temple is beautiful, but the tickets are a little expensive for how much time you can actually spend here. This is definitely one of the best places you can watch the sunset from, though. We went on a semi-cloudy day, and even then the sunset was stunning. There is also a cafe that is nice to take some time to relax at, since if you're staying in Athens it is a bit of a drive.

A beautiful place in itself, but the unjustifiably high price of €20 made us turn back and take a free walk in another part of the peninsula, where the views were just as breathtaking. Is the price of watching the sunset — even next to such a stunning temple — really comparable to the entrance fee for Mycenae, Corinth, or Epidaurus, where, in addition to the ruins, you also visit a museum and get a wealth of information? A highly promoted tourist spot — deservedly so for its amazing views, but not for its price.

This place is just magical during sunset.🌄 It was actually raining when we got there and just before the sunset at 18:30, the weather turned. There was also a beautiful rainbow🌈 Don't buy tickets in advance due to weather conditions, so just buy on the spot.

Visiting the Temple of Poseidon was an unforgettable experience. The temple itself is truly majestic, standing tall for more than 2,000 to 3,000 years and offering a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Greek history. The surrounding sea views are breathtaking, and when combined with the temple’s presence, it feels almost magical. The highlight of the visit was without doubt the sunset. It is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, with the colors reflecting over the Aegean Sea and the temple glowing in the evening light. The road leading to the temple was also a wonderful part of the journey, with scenic views all along the way. A must-visit when in Greece! 🌅🏛️

The temple on the edge of the sea is a magnificent view. It's definitely worth it to visit. It's not so hard to get to there from Athens with the public transport. You can take the bus to Sunion which cost only 6.20 euros in direction. We took it from the Singrou-fix at around 11 o'clock. The trip to there takes around two hours and the road is very beautiful by the sea. The entrance ticket is 20 euros. There is coffee/restaurant there. The bus will drop you off right to the entrance of the temple.

A great stop if you are exploring Athens. The building is modern with huge windows and a clear view of the Acropolis itself. Inside, you will find ancient sculptures, pottery, and a cool glass floor that shows ruins underneath. The top floor has the Parthenon pieces laid out like they were originally placed at scale, and the cafe has a solid view. Easy to enjoy even if you are not a history buff.

We were initially unsure whether to visit the Acropolis Museum, as some reviews claimed it wasn’t worth it. However, we decided to go anyway — and we’re really glad we did. The entrance fee was €20 (current price as of autumn 2025). We went around 6 PM and it was almost empty, with no lines at all. The museum was open until 8 PM, so we had plenty of time to walk around and explore. The museum itself is beautiful. It features an impressive collection of artifacts found on the slopes of the Acropolis, as well as everyday objects from different periods of Athenian history. There are also many statues, architectural fragments from temples, and other fascinating pieces. On top of that, the museum offers lovely views of the Acropolis and the surrounding area. We later found out that there is an audio guide available — just look for the QR code inside the museum. We wish we had noticed it earlier! Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit. We had a great experience.

One of my favorite museum experiences worldwide! Bernard Tschumi’s masterpiece covers Athens historical layers by physically reconstructing them through five different levels. The context and the place in the city are omnipresent and shine through the building. The museum is generously laid out and there’s hardly any waiting times. The flows through the exhibits work smoothly and although there are huge numbers of visitors there is never any feeling of crowding. Full points for this jewel!

Be prepared to be amazed by history where myth and reality are hard to distinguish. Modern, spacious, with a lot of light, this is a big museum, be prepared to spend ~4h if you wanna see everything. I advise people to bring headphones to listen to the audio they offer. Be careful, any backpacks have to be stored in a locker room. And check their cafe, it has a wonderful view! Their shop has a variety of books in several languages.

A very well-thought-out and well-organized museum with beautiful unique exhibits. It uses modern technology in a great way to bring the glory and power of ancient Greece to life. The museum also has a nice café with good service and a view of the Acropolis — not the very best view, as you can see from the photos, but still lovely. Definitely worth a visit!

It's incredible to visually learn about the history of the place and the people - the ART!!! The museum is beautiful and in the evening hours it's lit up and you can see the Acropolis and Parthenon on the hill out the windows and from the large outdoor patio. I spent three hours (with the free audio guide)!

One of the best museums I've visited so far (and I have seen a lot in my 45 years of age). Must see if you visit Acropolis site, only then you will get full picture of this amazing preserved archeological foundings. Unseparable.

A must see if visiting Athens. Its uneven surfaces for parts of it so walking boots are recommended. The Parthenon is very impressive and the View of Athens from the tip shows how big Athens is. Worth getting a guided tour to learn the history of the site.

We've been there at the end of October, which is is probably the best time of the year. Weather is usually still sunny, while at the same time its not too hot. And the Acropolis is not overcrowded even tho you will meet lots of ppl. Keep in mind this is one of the worlds most visited must-see hotspots. You have to book a time slot in advance when you buy the tickets. If your kids are EU citizens and under 18y old, they do not have to pay the current 30 EUR entrance fee! They get free entrance, but passports/IDs are required to proof your citizenship. You can not book these free kids tickets in advance online. So you will have to line up at the two ticket offices. Once at the office you usually wont get instant access. So plan for another 2-3 hours waiting time ahead. We went to the acropolis museum (extra 20 € pp, kids free). Try to visit the museum before you actually visit the Acropolis as you will learn a lot. Once you are on the top you will understand why this place is so special. View is spectecular and you will notice how massive the buildings must have been. Enjoy!

Absolutely stunning!!! You have to pay to get up there, but it is worth it. Incredible views of Athens and observing the scale of these structures blew my mind.

The Parthenon at the Acropolis completed our Athens trip!!! Amazingly beautiful with breathtaking views of the city. The walk up to the top is a bit tiring but it you have a disability card they will let you use the elevator at the North entrance. It’s worth the visit!

The Acropolis/Parthenon experience was nice. The climb up wasn’t so bad (just kind slippery floors and wear shoes with good grip). We bought tickets a day prior for the 6pm slot and were allowed in at 5.45pm. The good: Overall a pretty place. As a history buff, it was a special experience to be standing at a place where so much history was made. Got some nice photos of the structures against the evening sun. There were shaded spots here and there for some respite from the sun. The bad: The €30 ticket price. It isn’t justified given that there are a lot of works actively being done inside. There were a lot of scaffolding and machinery around. The structures were also cordoned off. You just feel like a visitor going through the area and snapping pictures instead of feeling like you’re really experiencing what it must have been like to be up at the Acropolis back then. Some may be okay with this, but I just feel a €20 ticket would make more sense.

Magnificent Greek architecture! The uphill walk with marble stairs was worth it. It’s best to arrive before opening time to avoid the crowds. We were in awe of the ruins, and the view of Athens was incredible.

Simply amazing! As impressive as a wonder of the world. Climbing those marble stairs really makes you understand the grandiosity of this civilization. To add the cherry on top, finally there are no scaffoldings. I would recommend going at the last entry time for the golden hour experience. I also recommend climbing any of the neighboring hills to see the Acropolis from an incredible perspective.

Visiting the Acropolis was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Athens. No matter how many pictures you’ve seen, nothing really prepares you for standing up there in person. The view over the city is incredible — you can see the whole of Athens stretching out below, with the sea glimmering in the distance. I went early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds, and that was definitely the right move. Climbing up is not too hard, but wear comfy shoes and bring water — the stones can be slippery. Once you reach the top, the Parthenon and the other ancient temples feel almost unreal. You can actually feel the history around you, it’s crazy to think how long these structures have been standing. The atmosphere is peaceful, especially if you take a moment to just sit and look around. The Acropolis Museum nearby is also worth a visit — it’s modern, cool, and helps you understand what you’re seeing up there. Overall, it’s an absolute must-see in Athens. Go early, take your time, and enjoy the view — it’s one of those experiences that truly stays with you. 🇬🇷✨

What can I say? One of the most iconic archaeological sites in the entire world. An absolute must visit,come early at 8am either with a guided tour or with pre book tickets because it gets very busy as you'd expect. We visited in late October,it was 24c which was perfect weather. Our visit was with a guide from Viator. I will visit again just so I can explore the slopes which we didn't have the chance too.

You know the feeling when you feel that you are in a special place, where something important for the human race happened there, that's the feeling here! A place that I saw so many times in the books, finally in front of me. Different kind of emotion, amazed by what people could build with such different instruments from the one we have now with the progress of the technology.

The entrance fee is €30, and you can buy tickets online (highly recommended to avoid queues). It’s best to visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds. I bought my ticket for 11 a.m. because earlier slots were sold out, and walking around while constantly dodging people wasn’t the best experience. Still, the place is absolutely incredible — no matter how many photos you’ve seen before, it never stops amazing you. Definitely worth the visit.

A phenomenal experience that you simply have to live through. We had tickets in advance online, and at the entrance we waited about 5 minutes. There was a crowd, but it was still pleasant. Bring water—the walk is naturally tiring and steep, and at the top the sun really beats. Enjoy the view of the vast city of Athens from above, as well as the history and the remains that are indescribable to see, knowing that someone lived there so long ago, and just like this. Fascinating! Remains from the earliest settlements, as well as from the later sanctuary, offer countless things to see and enjoy.

How do you rate this any less than five stars? So much history and beauty in one place. I have mobility issues and thank goodness the elevator was working!! Scary ride up, but so worth it!! The entire time we were there, we felt speechless! Absolutely awe inspiring!!

I couldn't believe it but this place is over 2500 years old and it's still standing. The idea that it was built on this tall hill made it even more awesome. The history was interesting too. I learned the Athenians were welcomed inside whenever enemies were approaching. We had an excellent tour leader, too.

Definitely worth visiting, expected the worst after reading the reviews, but isn’t too bad getting there , the road it’s pretty bad but not impossible to get there , just have to make sure you have a good car . The walk is about 30 min going down the hill , so make sure you’re wearing good shoes, definitely not flip flops or sandals. It is a workout but worth it for the beautiful views

What a lovely place! We took the car to the carpark. The drive is doable with a normal car but be patient. The last 8km takes 30minutes at least. It is unpaved with big stones / holes in some sections. We did the walk down to the beach with a 5 year old and two babies in a carry-on. It is a nice walk but you have to be careful. It is not an even path and there are some stone stairs. The beach itself was very peaceful with fantastic view of the sunset. In november there were not that many people and we enjoyed our stay. The way back up is of course a bit harder (certainly with baby's in a carry-on, but after 30min we were back at the car. Certainly worth the trip!

Stunning place, we took the ferry here from kissamos port which was far more enjoyable than taking the dirt road. We came in mid October and I must say the water was quite cold. Stunning location though, lots of space for being flopped on a towel taking in the sun. Lots of goats to keep you entertained and just lovely views.

After a 40 minute off-road drive ( actually not bad) among goats and beautiful mountains, you reach a place like you've never seen before. The turquoise, shallow ( and jellyfish-less) sea is just incredible having the white sand next to it. It is simply impossible to comprehend how so close to red sand covered mountains there can be a place like Heaven on Earth.

Beautiful view also crystal clear waters ! But there is a danger to all this beauty , be very careful there are a lot of rocks everywhere no walk path , I fell very badly sprained my ankle and I had the best running shoes on ! also there are no bathrooms or coffee bar ect please be careful

The beauty of this place is unfathomable. No picture and no video can do it enough justice. The whole experience is tremendous. From the tough drive to get closer, then a nice hike through a wondrous terrain with the phenomenal reward simply waiting for you by the corner. Don't miss out on this on your visit to Crete

Most beautiful beach I have ever been to! There are very naughty beach goats - be careful about bringing food in your bags! There is a bit of a hike to the beach (not terrible - old ladies and kids were doing it and many people wore flip flops. Would recommend sneakers - no need for hiking shoes. The road up there is unpaved and winding. However our Toyota rental car did just fine!

Will have to agree with the rest- a very beautiful beach (but wouldn’t call it unique), crystal water (not deep), soft warm sand, but too expensive regarding the prices. I totally understand that tourism is the main income for most of the people on the island and for sure as a visitor, I am willing to spend, in order to enjoy the perfect vacation, but it’s not necessary to feel exploited in the end.

Pros: One of the top beaches in Crete. Crystal clear water. The beach and sea floor covered by soft fine sand. (Few sections with pink sand )Turquoise water. West oriented, which makes the sunset spectacular. Nude section. Large free parking. Cons: Expensive sun beds( on other 10 cretan beaches we visited before this one, we paid between 6 and 15(only on VAI) euro for sun beds set ), here cheapest was 20 euro. Expensive food and drinks. Very few showers. Not many toilets. Conclusion: great beautiful beach which must be visited, but may be not the best choice for everyday use.

The beach is long and suitable for everyone. It has soft sand and a cozy vibe. We loved it more than the famous Elafonissi Beach

September 2025. One of the best beaches we visited while in Crete, definitely worth spending the day here. Parking was €6 entire day. We stayed middle of the beach, 2 sunbeds for €20. Far right side by the 3 restaurants sunbeds were more expensive front rows €40, middle €30, back €20. The beach is huge and didn’t feel crowded.

Falassarna Beach is stunning — wide, golden sands and turquoise waters create the perfect setting for a relaxing day by the sea. The sunsets here are unforgettable. Truly one of Crete’s finest beaches.

No matter what I say about this beach, it wouldn't be enough. It’s simply perfect — the beach, the water, the sand, everything. Just perfect. The sunbed for two people in the second row is 40 euros. However, it depends on the beach bar, though I don’t believe the prices are any lower elsewhere.

Free parking around Maracaya Beach house, great lounge area, amazing food and drinks. The water is clear and beautiful. There are some fish on the shore line to look at though goggles. Loved the whole experience

Amazing condition with only basic restoration. To be able to climb tge steps & sit on the ancient seats is such a treasure. Would be fantastic to attend a show there. A small museum was also quite interesting. The walk through the remaining archaeological site was sadly cut short due to rainy weather.

This is a place to visit indeed, a massive and well-restored ancient theatre overlooking the mountains. We have seen other theaters before, in Thermessos, Aspendos and Phaselis in Antalya, this one is far bigger though. The place has great acoustics and definitely worth a visit, there’s also a museum with findings and inscriptions from the past and a large archeological site.

Incredible site to see! Highly recommend. If you sing, this is a chance to get heard by strangers for an impromptu performance with amazing acoustics and likely applause from visitors. We got lucky and got to hear a short casual performance.

An absolutely incredible site and a must-see in Greece! The ancient theatre of Epidaurus is astonishingly well preserved and famous for its perfect acoustics — you can literally hear someone speaking or dropping a coin from the stage, even from the top rows. The setting among green hills adds to the magic of the place. The surrounding archaeological site and small museum are also worth a visit. It’s an easy and peaceful walk around. Truly one of the highlights of any trip to the Peloponnese!

Really impressive space. The amount of constructions around the place, the sheer size of the theater, the unbelievable acoustics, the good state of conservation, the scenery, everything make up for an unforgetable experience. A must.

It’s impressive to see the theatre, views from the top are wonderful. We did also catch a girl briefly singing & the acoustics are just amazing. The rest of it is just ruins! Very expensive at €20 each - it’s not worth that. No audio guide, not even a restaurant open! No discount for English seniors either, EU only! Another brexit bonus. It was dog friendly - though not allowed in the actual theatre.

The place exceeded my expectations! We didn't manage to see ancient theatres in Athens, but coming here was much better experience. First of all because of much quieter location, much greener, lovely nature and the whole complex around. The theatre structure itself deserves a credit for being preserved so well. Parking at the entrance is huge, no worries about where to leave your car. All info tablets are in two languages, wonderful museum with sculptures. But, obviously, visiting place in mid-October also contributed to my super positive experience. Looking at infrastructure, I can imagine flow of people here in summer.

The Corinth Canal is a truly spectacular sight, and it's much more than just a waterway. Standing on the bridge, you get a powerful sense of the history and the immense engineering effort it took to carve this narrow, deep channel through solid rock. The sheer cliffs on either side are breathtaking, and watching a ship navigate this incredibly tight passage is a unique and thrilling experience. It's a must-do for anyone traveling through Greece, offering both a stunning natural view and a fascinating glimpse into human ingenuity.

Nice place to stop by! Such a deep and narrow cuts which separates the Peloponnese peninsula from the Greek mainland. With a nice history behind ofcourse. Only the view from the bridge is stunning. I wanted to try bungee jumping here but it was closed 😩 Still, totally worth the visit!

Had an amazing boat ride through the Corinth canal both ways. Only €22 each on Anna 11 cruises. Lasted about an hour or so and went from the quay on the Athens side of the canal. It's incredible how it was dug and dynamited out of the rocks. Very steep sides in places with road and rail bridges spanning it. Well worth doing. Maravilho.

We visited the Corinth Canal and were absolutely amazed by its breathtaking views — it’s a must-see both for its visual impact and historical significance. Standing on the bridge and looking down into the narrow, deep waterway is truly unforgettable. There are several nearby restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy a meal or a drink at relatively reasonable prices. It’s a great spot to take a break, enjoy the scenery, and soak in the atmosphere. For thrill-seekers, there’s also the opportunity to go bungee jumping right over the canal. At around €100 per person, it’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that adds a real adrenaline rush to your visit. Parking was easy and the area felt tourist-friendly. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through the region — even a short visit is worth it!

The Corinth Canal is a fascinating sight. Typically, tour buses heading to the Peloponnese start there for a rest break and spend a few minutes seeing the canal. The ancient Greeks and Romans dreamed of building a canal here, but lack the technical ability. It was completed in the late 1800s using steam equipment. If you are able, suggest driving to the Diolkos. This was the ancient road that ran across the isthmus, mainly to transfer goods and on rare occasions ships.

You can't imagine how much I love Corinth canal, it looks unreal. I was many times here and always is amazing. I can stand on the bridge all day long. Don't miss this beauty.

It it really is one of the most beautiful sights in Greece not far away from Athens 1 hour drive. Truly mesmerizing and if you are up for the bungee jumping experience that's another plus

Beautiful views from the top, the panoramas are really worth it. Unfortunately, the site itself is poorly maintained, not really visitable inside, and the €20 entrance fee is absolutely too much. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price – €5–10 would be more appropriate considering the limited access and its recent history.

A fantastic place to visit in Nafplio! The view from the top is absolutely stunning, especially when the water around the town turns that beautiful blue-green turquoise shade. There are several viewpoints around the fortress, so take your time to walk around and enjoy the different perspectives. There’s also a small café inside for a quick break. You can either climb up the famous stairs or drive up — both options are worth it. The only downside is that the ticket price feels a bit high, but overall, it’s definitely worth the visit for the view alone!

Absolutely gorgeous views and a very impressive fortress. The architecture and preservation is amazing. We had so much fun exploring and there seemed to be a new view around every corner. I was surprised they even had a little snack cafe’ in the main area and it appeared they were working on some sort of museum as well. Oh…bring good shoes with traction. You’ll thank me later.

The view from the top is breathtaking — you can see the entire town of Nafplio, the sea, and the surrounding mountains. It’s worth every single step of the climb (or drive up if you prefer). The fortress itself is massive, beautifully preserved, and full of history. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring the different bastions, tunnels, and stone pathways. Every corner has a different perspective and photo opportunity. It’s peaceful, scenic, and gives you a real sense of Greek history and architecture. Whether you hike up the 999 steps or drive to the entrance.

The fortress is an impressive place with amazing views over Nafplio and the sea. The history and atmosphere are truly worth experiencing. However, the entrance fee (20€ per person) feels a bit high, especially since there’s no museum or additional exhibition inside. It takes no time at all to climb the stairs, but walking down the road will take you about an hour.

The Palamidi Fortress, a grand and impressive Venetian fortress, is nestled on the crest of a high hill overlooking Nafplio. A must-see sight, it feels like a never-ending structure that sprawls across most of the hill. It’s a top destination to visit if you’re nearby, as exploring it and learning about its rich history can take two hours or more. You can access it by climbing 913 steps from the town of Nafplio or by car/taxi, which brings you directly to the fortress entrance, where parking is available. We recommend arriving early, as the parking fills up quickly. The fortress also offers free public restrooms, a bar, and a museum shop.

Really incredible visit. The views are top notch and the entire site is exquisite to visit and learn about. We were nervous about the time to drive up from Athens, but we hired a driver for the day and it was worth every bit of the cost. Not only a driver, but guiding us along the drive and pointing us in the right direction once at the site. Worth doing, don’t drive yourself and I’d avoid the massive tour buses. Very much worth a visit all around. Do the site first and museum second. Bring water and be prepared for hills.

Wonderful museum and archeological site closed to the modern village of Delphi. The museum has wonderful artifacts but is not overpoweringly large. There is a good flow through the development of Delphi as a sacred site and it's demise before being restored by the Romans. The archilogical site is deceptively large, winding a long way up the mountainside. Allow at least 90 minutes to see the whole site. Cafe at museum ticket office serves good coffee and sandwiches. The shop is a bit twee but has some interesting items. Main downside of the site is the toilets. There is nowhere near enough for the volume of visitors and the inevitable queues and lack of cleanliness are quite offputiing. Much better to take the short walk into a taverna in the village, and probably as quick

Delphi was absolutely breathtaking — one of the highlights of my trip to Greece. The combination of stunning mountain views, ancient ruins, and peaceful atmosphere makes it a truly special place. Walking through the archaeological site, you can really feel the history and imagine what it must have been like thousands of years ago. The Temple of Apollo, the ancient theater, and the stadium are incredible to see up close, and the museum adds great context with beautifully preserved artifacts. Everything is well organized and easy to explore, and the scenery surrounding the site is simply majestic — it feels almost spiritual.

We visited ancient site first due to rain, but recommend museum first. Great exhibits. Do not miss an allow at least 2 hours. Came later in the day and seemed ho be thinning out. Lots if tourist busses. Also was able to park on street close to museum for free. Lots of great artifacts and pieces of history.

Lots to see, varying degrees of difficulty great for individuals with wide range of physical capabilities, and must have a good knowledgeable guide to bring the site to life. Little known fact, a landslide in the last few years has made the area around and access to the Athena temple a restricted no entry area. However, there are plenty of amazing views and spaces to rest in the shade that allows you to soak it all up.

Delphi and the museum are just wonderful. There really is something special about the site and the museum is concise and has great information about the history of the area and more. Definitely worth the visit! My only drawback was the very expensive cafe at the museum - I bought a half a tiny pizza that was tasty but somewhat dry and far, far too costly.

It was a long drive from Athens but it was worth it. If you have time, it's definitely worth seeing there. The same ticket works both for the Museum a d the Archeological Site. Beautiful history and well preserved statues. Highly recommended 👌🏼

One of the worlds’ most visited monuments. It is an experience not to miss. Tip:you may also find 3D binoculars/ augmented reality somewhere in town (we didn’t know but we saw many people using them) to help you understand how the building used to be in ancient times.

A must visit when visiting the peloponnese, has so much history and great things too see. I went because my wife is really into old things but as a neutral I found the place fascinating with information boards all around the site telling you what each rock was and what it was for. The tickets are well priced for what's included and will take up 3 hours or more of your day. There's also plenty of shaded areas as it does get hot in the sun.

Very interesting to see, where the Olympics originated (both the historical site itself as the two museums) One about the history of the site, the other one about the history of the (old) Olympic Games. With one ticket you can visit all three locations. It is a walkable distance from each other. As for the archaeological site... amazing!!!

this is a massive area of archeological exploration. it is the home of the worlds first stadium dedicated to athletic competition. the start line is still there. it boasts large training areas, roman baths and temples. the area is relatively flat and easy to negotiate. this multiple acre dig really gives the visitor a feeling of what their lives were like. the museum has an amazing number of relics from the grounds. this is apparently the site of the olympic games. our guide the importance of these games in opening the doors to peace.

Amazing to walk through so much history - having a guide to explain the finer details was extremely helpful. The size of the site & all of the various buildings across Greek & Roman history was fascinating. Worth the bus trip.

We spent hours here. It's absolutely amazing. We first came on the August full moon but due to local fires it was closed. We spent 3-4 hours in the 2 museums and we had about an our in the archaeological site, we could have done with at least another 30 minutes at least. It really is impressive and a must for visiting. The ticket for the 2 museums and site costs 20 euro per person. Children were free. You can purchase your tickets at all 3 places and where ever you buy it that's where you have to enter first.

Wow first time here . Wasn't that busy we had 2 hours to walk around where the first Olympics were held. A lot of bits and pieces marble. The museum was cool alot of artifacts and info.

This is a truly surreal and stunning experience. Highly recommend at least once on your life. We took a tour bus which on total is a 11 hr day but totally worth it with no hassle. Costs £5 each to enter each mosque.

Great place for a day trip. If you are driving, you will enjoy the wide and safe road. You can go to the top by driving your car. Hiking route is also available. Overall, the scenic view is breathtaking and humans capability of building churches and residences are absolutely surreal!

An amazing experience - far exceeded our expectations. We visited St Nicholas & Varlaam monastries. St Nicholas was small with lots of steps but was fantastic. Not very busy. Varlaam was larger & easier to access. The art work in both is stunning. Having a guide to explain was useful. The views are breathtaking.

We absolutely loved the visit to Monasteries in Meteora. It was so peaceful! We visited two - one with Monks and second with Nuns. Both were equally beautiful and well maintained. Views from these locations were breathtaking!! 😍😍

Amazing view, don't miss the monastery itself, they want 5 euro for adults, kids up to 6yo are free. notice they want cash, but accept cards too. it's beautiful inside, very interesting. 1 hour easy, take your time.

I wonder who put less than 5 stars. I visited many beautiful places and I lived in Rome, but I have rarely been as speechless as here. Simply wonderful! I took hundreds of pictures from every angle. A must-see!!!

I was overwhelmed!!! The unique beauty of the area topped off with the monasteries on top of the unique rock formations was breathtaking. We hired a guide and went as early as possible. Dress code for men and woman to enter the monastery. 5€ to enter each one. A couple are a lot of climbing up stairs.

Very clean hotel. Receptionist very helpful. Staff lovely in general. Excellent warm pool and another smaller one for kids although too deep really. Bar at the pool was great and there's another by the beach,again Excellent. Rooms are not overly sized but fine really and modern with a decent sized bathroom and balcony. Bad points : We were greeted on arrival with the climate charge which is now €5 instead of €3 per night. Then we were asked if we wanted air-conditioning on which was another €8 per night. As if that wasn't enough there's another €3 per night if you want the use of the safe !! So a ten night holiday had an extra charge of €160. Want to pay even more ? The parasols and sunbeds in the grounds of the hotel look lovely don't they? If you want to use them there's another €15 charge per day making a total of €310 added to your holiday. When I booked this hotel I assumed I booked a room and hotel with the use of what's in it! The sunbeds on the beach are €20 but to charge for them is acceptable and normal. Such a shame they feel they need to charge like that as the hotel is nice in a great location.

Great hotel!! I would rate it 4 stars instead of 3, breakfast is very extended, really nice staff. Sofia at the reception is a lovely warm welcoming person. The hotel is next to the beach which is sand beach so great. Really nice vibe, no music at the pool which we liked and no entertainment so a nice quiet hotel. Everything super clean! Only bed matrasses could be better, they were really hard.

Brilliant hotel right on the beach. Breakfast was a good spread. Pools are great, beach bar is good. Only thing that one needs to be aware of is that the airport is right behind the hotel over the road, so all day and up to about 10pm you have landing and taking off planes coming over super low.

I stayed at this hotel for just one night, and overall, it was a decent experience. One of the biggest advantages was its great location, especially for travelers — it’s very close to the airport, which made getting there super convenient. While you can hear the sound of planes taking off, I found it surprisingly non-disruptive and easy to tune out. However, the room was quite small, which could be uncomfortable for longer stays or if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. For a short stay like mine, though, it was manageable and served its purpose well. If you’re looking for a place near the airport for a quick overnight stop, this hotel is a convenient and acceptable choice.

Staff is nice, breakfast is good and very close to one of the nicest beaches in Zakynthos, refresh every day. I recommend booking here!

Whilst we were holidaying in Kalamaki. We used this as a base for visiting the beach. Great food, great value, fantastic location, just an all round friendly place.

It would be nice place with easy access to the water but it’s full of drunk young polish and brits. There is tons of glass and trash that is not being cleaned. I would rather go to kalamaki

A lovely, long sandy beach lined with plenty of bars and restaurants along the way,perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. The water was shallow, clear, and great for swimming or just cooling off. We really enjoyed our trip here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot with good amenities nearby.

Busy yet lovely sandy beach. The sea is a few meters from your sunbed (should you wish to rent one... 10 for 2 and umbrella) and as smooth as a pond. The beach bars are reasonably priced for a snack. A view to enjoy and if you like planes, a good spot yo see them come in to land!!

We really enjoyed this beach overall. Water was clean and very shallow for kids to play. Beach was fairly clean from what we saw with many Restaurants and Beach Bars near by as well as some water activities for rent as well. We’d definitely return here again some day.

Laganas Beach is a wide sandy beach with shallow and clear waters, perfect for swimming and relaxing. The area is lively, with many bars, restaurants, and water sports options, so there is always something to do. It can get crowded, especially during peak season, but the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. A great spot if you enjoy long walks by the sea, good food nearby, and a mix of relaxation and entertainment.

The photos are taken after a storm. The beach is covered with sand and a few clams. You don't need special shoes for going into the sea as the first meters are with sand and clams, but after that it's only sand. There are multiple restaurant/beach clubs which offer sunbeds for 10 euro/person, drinks not included.

Clean and quiet beach. Sand! Not rocks. Chairs with umbrellas to let. Not much parking. The water is beautiful.

This is for the south nudist section of Scala around the large rocks. Mid Sept and and the beach was great. Late Sept 2025 and the beach was getting pretty well destroyed by the storm. Was small pebbles and loads of fish for snorkelling. Also easy to swim around to Spithi and Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK the next beach along which are both nudist. Spithi is not good but Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK is huge and great. Those are quite difficult to get to direct as the car parking is severely limited.

Long beach clear water stones and sand mostly stones. You'll need water shoes as its very stoney. But it's a beautiful beach we just laid our towel on stones and sat Dippin feet. Skala is a long beach so plenty of space you can hire deck chairs or sunbeds and umbrella if you wish. You can sit close to or far away from water sports the 1 place on beach for watersports is amazing and super friendly. No pressure from them either if u do sit close by.

Lovely beach, would recommend sea shoes as it stoney!! But once tour in its ok, it's also a bit of a drop off, 6 feet in and your chest deep. But still lovely

Beautiful beach with a relaxed vibe — I stayed at the 9 Musses Hotel beach, where a set (2 sunbeds and a large umbrella) goes for €12. The water was refreshing but not too cold, and while water shoes aren’t a must, they could come in handy since the beach is a mix of small rocks and sand. The beach bar menu had all the classics you’d expect, and I’d personally recommend the Margarita pizza — simple and tasty. Prices were very reasonable. It’s a great spot to spend the day soaking up the sun, and if you feel like grabbing dinner or going for a nice stroll, the charming town of Skala is just above the beach, offering a lovely walking area and plenty of restaurants to explore.

Very very big and nice beach which honestly surprised me. Great water, sand is mixed (probably imported). Nearby hillside with parking is gorgeous with a really beautiful small city. Road from Argostoli to here is nicer and easier to drive then going to north or east side of island.

The beach is beautiful with crystal blue waters and white sand, but it's totally overrated. Also, there are minimum 5 boats in the bay at every time. Since 2024, there are regulations from the Greek Government to not let anyone go on the beach or swim nearby because of falling cliffs (and you can see rocks that fell on the beach on the sides). You can only stay on the boat as they will turn for 15 minutes in the bay, then go to another spot if they have swimming spots included.

Always wanted to see this since I was a kid. Finally nice to have ticked it off. Shipwreck is cool but the amount of tourists is insane. Do prepare yourself for that. Best to hire your own boat for the trip as it will be more enjoyable. I would do that next time.

Lovely viewpoint, very small area open to be able to take a picture. The queue for the viewpoint platform took about 40 mins. They are doing work in the area so may be better next year. Well worth the wait though, probably best to see from a boat tour.

Iconic place, a must see both from the sea and the viewpoint. Closed to public from 2023 due to limestone landslide, no access to it by car, the viewpoint gets a bit busy, it’s a 10 min walk to the furthest point. Views are incredible. Mind the hike back up, it’s a paved but quite steep, can get kinda hard in the heat. Mind the shadow/sun on the beach for good pics. Water photos taken at 11:20am early June. Viewpoint photos taken 2:30pm. There’s also a military base nearby & you can see F16 flying around super low to the water - spectacular sight

This famous cove can only be reached by boat, and you cannot go ashore because of the shipwreck remains on the beach. Still, the view of the dramatic cliffs and turquoise water is absolutely breathtaking, and swimming in the crystal-clear sea right from the boat is an unforgettable experience. It is definitely a tourist hotspot and can get very crowded, as it’s one of the most iconic places in Zakynthos. Despite that, the scenery is so unique that it’s worth seeing at least once. Floating in the water with the shipwreck and cliffs in the background is something you won’t easily forget. A good tip is to visit during the week rather than weekends, as it tends to be slightly less busy. There are no facilities here, so come prepared — but that’s part of the adventure. Overall, a must-see location in Zakynthos for the incredible views and experience in the water.

It's definitely a must-see, but it's impossible to reach by land. The stunning color of the sea and the ship create a wonderful blend. However, going to the beach and swimming in this area is dangerous and forbidden because rocks can fall from the mountains. But I definitely recommend visiting by boat to see the scenery.

The colors of the water are not exactly like in the pictures you see on the internet... We went at 10 a.m. and it wasn’t too crowded. The boat ride takes only 3 minutes, and during that time, because of the large number of people on the boat, you don’t really have the chance to take photos or properly capture the moment. The price is €10 for adults and €5 for children.

Melissani Cave is undeniably a natural wonder and well worth a visit, earning a solid four stars from me. The cave is absolutely stunning, especially when the sun's rays penetrate the open roof, illuminating the incredibly clear, turquoise waters with a surreal, glowing effect. It's truly mesmerizing to glide across the water in the small boats, and our guide did a good job explaining the cave's history, including how it's named after the nymph Melissani, who, according to myth, drowned herself here out of unrequited love for Pan. The story adds a layer of mystical allure to an already magical place. However, while the beauty is undeniable, the experience itself is quite brief. The boat ride around the cave lasts only about five to ten minutes, which, for the price of admission, feels a bit short. This brings me to my main caveat: it absolutely does not worth waiting for hours in a queue to experience this. We saw incredibly long lines, and for a five-minute ride, that kind of wait would severely diminish the enjoyment. My advice is to try and visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid peak times. If you can get in with a reasonable wait, Melissani Cave is a uniquely beautiful place to witness nature's artistry. Just manage your expectations regarding the duration of the visit and you'll be captivated.

Melissani Lake is one of the most magical places in Kefalonia, a cave with an underground lake where the crystal-clear waters glow in shades of blue and green as sunlight pours through the open roof. The boat ride is short but very charming, and the rowers often sing during the journey, which creates a special atmosphere. At the end, however, they do expect tips and may offer to take photos for the same reason—something to keep in mind. To reach the boats, you need to go down about 30 steps and then walk roughly 200 meters through a descending tunnel inside the cave. It’s very important to arrive early, because when several cruise ships are in port, the lines can get very long and the wait may be close to an hour before entering. I recommend bringing water and an umbrella, since the queue is often under the sun and the heat can be strong. Despite the wait, the experience is absolutely worth it, especially around midday when the sunlight makes the water shine at its best.

One of a kind experience! We arrived and queued for about 20-30 mins from beginning to being in the boat. Tickets 10 euro each. This is at 11am, the whole thing lasted ab 10 mins, you can leave a tip if you want to the boat guy, ours was really fun- took a picture of every one of us on the boat separately, there were about 3-4 more boats. Unfortunately the view from top was closed.

Melissani Cave is a stunning must-see in Kefalonia! The water's vivid blue color is breathtaking, appearing almost glowing. Inside, you'll see bats flying overhead and may even spot electric eels swimming below, creating a magical atmosphere. The tour lasts about 15 minutes, led by a local guide who rows the boat and shares interesting tidbits without a lengthy lecture. Don’t be discouraged by a long line at the ticket office—multiple boats operate simultaneously, so the wait goes by quickly. This stop offers a serene break from the beach, making it a highly recommended experience!

Beautiful place with history. But you queue for 10-30 minutes, walk down a set of steps and a ramp, hop into a boat, have a 10 min tour and then you are done. It’s €10 per person and is worth seeing but do not plan for it to be a half day out as it’s only a short stop. Parking is free and toilets in the car park

A very nice beach. The water was very nice and warm. Parking was free on the side of the road and there was plenty of space for public or private beach. It is worth a visit here.

Incredible beach with all shades of blue color water of the sea. Waves are large and increasing with each hour until evening. There are restaurants, wc, parking and shower , umbrella and beds. We took parking under cower with two beds and umbrella 15 euro all. On the beach there is savior. On the sea must be careful, beach It starts with sand - finely ground pebbles, and then large stones in the water. You must go to the water without everything- sunglasses, shoes , hat, because everything will change and you won't notice . On this beach you do not need swimming mask . Magnificent picture all around there. The horizon is incredibleand so endless.

Beautiful beach, but very crowded in the season. There is almost always wind and waves, so you can forget about the heat. This beach is not for non-swimmers and small children. It is recommended to try paragliding.

Kathisma is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada and definitely worth visiting. The beach is long and wide, with plenty of space to find a good spot. Sunbeds are around 20€ for the ordinary ones, or 25€ for the wooden set with parking included, which is very convenient since parking can get busy in high season. The beach itself has small smooth pebbles instead of sand, which makes the water crystal clear. After just a few steps it gets deeper, so be careful if you’re not a strong swimmer. The waves are usually big and fun, great for people who enjoy a bit of adventure in the sea. There are also water sports available for those looking for more activities. Restaurants and bars are located right by the beach, offering food and drinks throughout the day. Overall, it’s a lively beach with good facilities, beautiful scenery, and a bit of everything – relaxation, fun, and comfort.

Sky blue waters, The water was murky and the mask didn't work. The beach was fine sand and for some like me it is not comfortable. You can bring your own umbrella or you can pay sunbeds. There was a lot of free parking but also private parking 5€/day. You need to get up early 9-9.30am to be at the place if you are looking for free :) The locals told me that you have to be carefoul when its windy and there are bid waves bcs some people has lost their lives! Meanwhile you can do paragliding there. Bars and restaurants was close by.

An impressive place, definitely worth visiting and a person to experience their own adventure. You need aqua shoes because the water is quite cold, as well as a dry bag for luggage, they are sold in the parking lot. In places the water is deep, but everyone can explore as far as they want. They offer a variety of adventures, horseback riding, kayaks and boats on the river.

Lovely place with stunning, picturesque sites, definitely worth visiting. But the river is freezingly cold, literally could not keep my feet in it for more than ten seconds. Rafting is a must and we chose the first one to offer us this, at the very beginning of the tourist site. All in all, really well-organized, and definitely we will come again some day, just fully- equipped next time, to be able to explore more of the canyon.

The best excretion in the area... One of the best rivers to walk and swim in Greece... Really worth the visit and try some of the activities in the river like horse riding, zip line, cayak etc.... Highly highly recommended really impressed with the area...suitable for all ages from very young children

"Are you far from the river?". Our trip to the River Acheron was the highlight of our recent holiday in Parga. It is a truly extraordinary experience which I will never forget. The water is refreshingly cold and it gets so deep at points at the Gorge that you may have to swim. There is also rafting, kayaking and horse riding. There are plenty of places to eat in Acheron, beautiful open-air stores and bathroom facilities.

Life changing experience. Be prepared for cold swims and a bit of climbing. Bring swimming shoes though, or buy some before entering! Truly an incredible experience that everyone should go through at least once in their life.

Epic views, spacious beach with colder than usual waters. Expect it to be extra crowded during high season. A victim of its own success. I visited during a weekend in mid August, after 18⁰⁰ and it was epic.

Beautiful beach, was not that crowded. The access is easy by car or motorcycle and the parking fee was 2€. The water was warm and waves not that big, so you could also swim safely.

My favorite beach on the whole island. Parking is 10 euro but is near the beach. The water is turquoise. It’s a big beach and even with a lot of people is not so full. Food available near the parking lot. You can see a lot of small beautiful fishes if you like diving. I was there in the end of September.

Mesmerizing! The parking is 10 euro, there is a place to eat, plenty of spots to park your car. We went off season and the beach was not overcrowded. The water was cristal clear. The beach itself was also very clean.

One of the prettiest beaches (if not the best on the island). You can park for free on the road, as many people do, parking is 10€ nearby but it gets crammed. The beach gets crowded but you can always find spot. There are no sunbeds to rent (late September). The stairs are not difficult to use, and many people are stopping on them to take pictures of the beach.

Stunning beach with the most blue water I have seen anywhere in the world! Pay for parking in the lot about 10 euros or free parking just outside of the area. The drive was windy and narrow but incredibly cool! Don’t go too fast and risk it. Food and drinks are sold before you go down to the beach, there are no services available on the beach itself.

Stunning beach with the most beautiful coloured water, lovely winding drive down, plenty of free parking, toilets, changing rooms and showers on site. As many have said, be a little careful as the sea bed suddenly drops within less than a meter of the shoreline. Lovely cave at the end to explore / swim through. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Gorgeous beach and drive down. Very busy. There are some sunbeds/umbrellas but none were available the whole time I sat in front of them. Parking is a bit of a nightmare. So yes, lovely beach, but by far not the only incredible beach on the island.

One of the most stunning beaches we have ever visited. Crystal clear and clean waters. Difficult to find a parking because it’s crowdy, but it has such a huge coast that you will barely feel how busy it is. A must-visit beach if you are in the island. You can also watch a terrific sunset setting in front of you. We had a sup board with us, so we were lucky enough to paddle across beautiful landscapes at the edge of the beach.

This is truly one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. The crystal-clear waters are absolutely stunning, and the whole setting feels like paradise. If you’re visiting Kefalonia, this spot is a must-see, don’t miss it!

The most beautiful beach in Kefalonia, the water is an electric blue dream and the landscapes are superb, surrounded by high mountains. There are many free parking spaces here, the road is steep but in good condition. Everything here is superlative.

It was the most beautiful beach I've been! The colours of the water and spectacular cliffs make it the number one beach on the island. Pack your lunch and drinks in the cooler and take an umbrella, as no amenities on this beach(which is its beauty, in my opinion).

The most amazingly blue sea. We were lucky enough to get fab waves but I think that’s rare. As per most beaches on this coast, it gets deep quick so not the best for weak swimmers. Showers and loos on the beach.

The place is amazing, full of history, and it has a very unique charm. The only thing I missed was a little shop or a refreshment stand… The area is quite large, so I would have appreciated some place to buy water or a small snack😊

We visited Butrint National Park and were truly impressed – it’s a beautiful and enchanting place full of history. However, I left with the feeling that more investment is needed in the park. There’s still so much to be discovered, with some monuments partially buried or even underwater. It’s a site with huge potential that deserves more preservation and attention. I also think guided tours inside the park would be a great addition – I would happily pay to learn more about its rich and fascinating history!

I was hesitant to visit because of the summer heat, but the park is surprisingly shaded, and there's a lovely breeze from the water that keeps things comfortable. The archaeological site is fascinating, with explanations at each part of the monument to guide you through. It takes about an hour to walk around, and while some paths are a bit steep, it’s manageable, just be sure to wear good shoes. The views are stunning, especially from the acropolis. Don’t miss the walk up, it gives you a breathtaking view of the entire site.

Well worth the visit. The ancient city has a ton of history from greek, roman, ottoman and venetian times. Mix of ancient ruins and more recent castles. Unfortunately no turtles there in early October

Very interesting peninsula with many ruins of Ancient Greek, Roman and Medieval structures, highlighting the historic meaning of Butrint. The visit takes about 2-3 hours and despite the heat, it was still manageable thanks to the abundance of shade. Highly recommended to visit when you are in the south of Albania

Lovely place to walk and visit with a lot of history! As you spend some time here, would have been nice to be able to get a drink or a snack but there was no place to get at least a bottle of water. Make sure you bring something to drink or snack with you.

Fascinating place if you like history. I walked here one morning (slightly accidental as I was only supposed to stroll to the bay near my hotel but missed my turn). Spent a couple of hours wandering around the old ruins. It’s lot bigger than I expected and well worth the 1000 lek/10€. Traffic was gridlocked at the entrance / little ferry when I left though. Pleased I walked it despite the heat. It’s worth parking at the top in car park over looking the bay and walking the last bit

I recommend having a tour guide give you the history of this place. The statues around the villa are awesome. Give yourself an hour maybe a little more to go through this site.

Unfortunately the Palace itself was closed for renovations during our visit. However, we were able to explore the grounds which are beautiful and have amazing views. Disappointing we had to pay full entry fee for half of the experience.

Nice gardens, spectacular views and the gardens refurbishment is looking good. The building is not much more than 100 years old and is currently closed. The building must have looked impressive in it's heyday but has been neglected for a long time so is in a really poor state of repair. I felt quite sad to see it like this and expect a lot of time, money and skill will be needed to bring it back to it's former glory. Worth a visit but manage your expectations accordingly.

Beautiful place to visit and visit the Muses, as well as Achilles. ❤️ The building itself is currently being updated though, so you can't go in. The Gardens and statues are absolutely gorgeous though and it overlooks the city in the distance.

The garden was beautiful. Unfortunately the place is closed due to refurbishment. But there are couple of screens set up around the gardens where you can watch history of Sissi. You have to go and see massive statue of Achilles with a stunning view that will leave you speechless. Tickets for adult was €7 (only garden)

The Achilleion Palace on Corfu looks serene under a cloudy sky. Its neoclassical walls and statues blend with the soft gray light, giving the place a quiet, timeless charm.

Beautiful location with imposing statues. The interior was closed at the time of our visit but I enjoyed seeing just the gardens for a slightly reduced fee.

Had a great 6 nights here. Got a west-facing room and just about managed to see some sunsets (due to time of the year!). Breakfast had nearly everything you could want. Staff were excellent. Pool was nice. Location of hotel was perfect. Watch out for mosquitos at night and have breakfast inside if you can to avoid the wasps! Didn't have dinner here but the pool menu was more expensive than I expected - although similar to bars/restaurants nearby. Would return

A really good hotel with beach access, nice swimming pools and great views on both sides. I would say it is good value for money for what you get. The breakfast buffet is endless with a huge variety of good quality options (one small thing - it would have been nice to have fresh fruit juice, not concentrate). We had a superior bay view room, we were a little disappointed with the view as it was restricted so I would recommend a sea view room instead. Overall though a great place and we’d stay again

Beautiful! Love the calm vibe. The hotel has two sides with equally gorgeous views. Access to the beach is down many steps so may not suit some. The Rocky beach was more secluded and great for snorkelling, access to water from a ladder! Main beach is beautiful and accessible from hotel terraces that are never too busy. Rooms are clean and love the Olivia Thinks shampoos and body lotions. Breakfast included and something for everyone’s tastes.

Excellent experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff extremely polite, and the stay comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely visit again. We were absolutely satisfied. The cleanliness, tranquility, and service exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it. A wonderful place to relax and unwind. The attention to detail and the kindness of the staff make all the difference. We can’t wait to return.

Totally worth it! Rooms are lovely and the staff is so incredibly helpful and wonderful. And of course, the cliffside sunbathing area is just to die for. Totally lived up to the photos and hype. I was out there everyday having the time of my life. Reading and swiming in the water all day long. Playing in the near by sea caves, and snorkeling and enjoying the sea life. The food here is wonderful! Make sure to get the half board, it's totally worth it. Also, make sure to make an appt to eat at their bar, food was phenomenal! My husband and I rented a car while here, but there is a bus that run from the Hotel to Corfu all day long. And it hardly costs anything. We actually used it to go into Old Town so we wouldn't have to worry about parking. The only complaint is that people will go put their towels down by the rocks, and leave them there for hours. Taking up the few sun bathing beds there are in the cliffside. I wish the staff would oversee that area. The rest of the resort has signs that say if you leave your things in attended for 30 min, they will be removed. People would put their towels out and disappear for 2 hours for breakfast, then for a couple hours again for lunch. I thought it was rude! I always would take my towel with me when I left and offer my seat to someone else. Trying to hog a spot seemed so awful and just plain selfish. Especially as there were times I would come and go and the entire time the person who's spot was saved, was never there! Literally, once I noticed for 3 hours a couple didn't show up. Even though other couples came and went hoping for a spot.

Outstanding experience. Celebrating anniversary and were upgraded. From the modern, zen-inspired design and furnishings in suite, the incredible views from most everywhere in hotel, the friendliness of the hard working staff, wonderful breakfast offerings to the personal touches we enjoyed like our immaculately cleaned suite (thanks Maria!) and beautiful towel art. We also received a few special gifts from the staff for our anniversary. In my family’s many years of travel, we have never encountered such care and attention to detail as we did at Akrotiri Beach Resort and the next time we are privileged enough to visit Corfu again, we will absolutely be sure to stay here again. Thanks for such a wonderful stay❤️

This hotel is beautiful. The only “negative” I would say is that there are a lot of stairs in order to reach the beach. I would be concerned with how elderly or people with disabilities would be able to access the beach. The staff is incredibly nice. The rooms are very clean. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. A buffet breakfast is available from 7:45-10:45 with my stay. There are restaurants within walking distance! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

swam here in October. made it over to the rocks. 15 minute swim across choppy waters... safe as long as you are a strong and confident swimmer. also swam through the cave which is a bit rough but easier if you swim with the incoming tide and not against it. my pictures were taken from the offshore rocks so unique vantage point

I LOVED this spot. I came at 5pm and it was perfect. The sun was hot, but I never needed sunscreen. The water was refreshingly cold and serene. There are many places to lay around on the rocks. I never even went down to the sandy 🏖️ beach as it was way too overcrowded. There are so many fun places to jump into the water, little caves to swim inside of or climb onto. The view is spectacular. There is free public parking right at the entrance.

We were there at 7 in the evening. The waves were very big, and by then only a few people were swimming. The sun shines beautifully there, it’s a great spot for photos. Definitely check it out if you’re in Corfu. The water is murky for swimming, but the view from above is stunning.

The canal is really nice and worth a visit. It can get a bit crowded (as expected), but still enjoyable. I’d recommend spending a few hours here to take in the atmosphere before heading to one of the many nearby beaches.

Canal d’Amour – A Natural Masterpiece in Corfu Visiting Canal d’Amour in Corfu was like stumbling into a dream-landscape of sea, stone, and legend. From the moment I arrived, I felt its magic — the way the sunlight strikes the sandstone cliffs, the narrow channel carved by wind and waves, the promise of romance woven in every ripple. This place isn’t just a beach; it’s an immersive moment in nature’s artistry. First, the setting: Canal d’Amour is on the north-western coast of Corfu, near the village of Sidari between Sidari and Peroulades. The location is quite accessible by car or taxi, with nearby parking — though during the busy season you’ll want to arrive early to avoid the crowds. What makes Canal d’Amour truly special are the rock formations. Sheer sandstone cliffs sculpted over centuries have created a channel and several small coves and caves. Natural arches, tunnels, small lagoons, all of them bathed in crystalline, turquoise water that invites you to swim, snorkel, explore. Legend enhances the atmosphere: swim through the channel with someone you love, they say, and your bond will last forever. It’s romantic, playful, maybe a little cheesy — but I loved every bit of that folklore. The beach area itself is relatively small, which gives it charm but also poses limitations. At times the shore is crowded, towels and umbrellas packed in tightly, especially in peak summer. There’s beauty in that shared enthusiasm, but also moments when you have to compete with others for a good spot. If possible, go early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the light is softer and the crowds ease up. Amenities are pretty good. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, nearby tavernas and cafés where you can grab something to eat or drink, restrooms, places to change. It’s not ultra-luxurious, but everything you need for a comfortable visit is there. One of my favorite moments was exploring the sea caves and the small bays. Swimming under rock overhangs, peering into caverns, feeling the water shift from calm and shallow to deeper blue as you move away from the shore. The views from above are just as striking: walking along the rock edges, looking out over the sea and cliffs, and watching the sun set — that golden hour is unforgettable. If I had to sum it up: Canal d’Amour is more than a photo-op — it’s nature, story, and landscape fused in one place. It’s not perfect (crowds can be a downside, the beach small), but those imperfections don’t erase the wonder. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Corfu. Go with open eyes, a spirit for adventure, and maybe someone you care about — the legend says it matters 😉.

The Canal d’Amour, or “Channel of Love,” is a famous natural attraction near the town of Sidari on the northern coast of Corfu.
