Cool beach to spend your summer holidays! It has a perfect infrastructure, nice sand, warm water. For us, it's the nicest beach in Europe.
Ausra B — Google review
Long straight beach with white sand. Easy on the feet. The water is shallow so very suitable for kids. Coffee shops and others along the shore. I traveled there in Autumn.
Philip L — Google review
I love it 🇪🇪💙 so pure and crystal clear water, soft sand and large beach. There is also nice bar and very best big sweet drinks /smoothies and great music and children were dancing also friday night .

It's not quite summer, but -18°c in deep winter! There is a lot to see on Pärnu beach, the bay is frozen, people are walking and enjoying the sunset!
Mairis K — Google review
Long, clean beach. Was completely empty in September. The water is very shallow: after 20m, my ankle was not completely under water. Probably a good thing if you want a photo of you walking on the water.
Laurent B — Google review
Nice beach, the sand is clean. there are plenty of parking spots available around, There is also a restaurant along the beach, kids activities to play with, beach volleyball or soccer infrastructures are available.

One of the best beaches I've ever been at the baltic sea. Even in summertime not too crowded. Not to compare with beaches at the German Ostsee. This in Pärnu ist classes above.

Nice place. Little bit oldschool but there are lot of fun especially for the little kids.

Welcome to the 80s, there is an accident waiting to happen. Don't get me wrong, kids (6&9yrs) had time of their lives during our visit. That's the good news. Problem is that the tickets for a family of four cost 124€. What did we get for the price: dirty toilets, unhappy employees, broken rides, rundown park area and a water park that was just in disgusting shape. We arrived during the first opening hour and toilets were not cleaned, great way to start the day. We didn't get a single hello from the staff. When we thanked them, we got back grunts. If the measurement is that kids have fun, great, that was achieved. With 124€ I expect more. Where is the money from the tickets put into? Not in maintenance, employees or cleaning. We spend 0€ to anything else during our visit just because everything was over priced so badly. Margins for basic ice cream must be around 85%. The whole place is a total rip off. My last visit was in the early 90s and I have to say that nostalgia was real, nothing had changed and the park was in way worse condition that I remembered. Water park side was just as run down. Black mold on the walls. Dead bugs, food and feathers from local wild birds in the water yet all staff were just on "life guard duty". Why not clean the pools while watching the pools? Why everything was covered in brown stains? There were not too many people and I understand why. You can't be asking this kind of price and keep the park in such state. This is greed in it's purest form. One star because the kids had fun, one star because there was no queues and parking was free.
Tapio K — Google review
Quite dated activity park for kids; has bit of a russian feel to it. Nice bang for the buck however. Really cold water in pools even on a hot day. Hard to get to without a car: from Riihimäki train station take a bus to Tervakoski and walk 1km. They go every 2-4 hours or so and only during weekdays. Very incompetent summer staff when we visited.
Matti D — Google review
A bit worn out but still super fun! Definitely will come again earlier to have enough time for all the activities. Recommend to buy the return ticket too.
Eva P — Google review
It was a trip down the memory lane for me. Seeing the place after tens of years with my own kids was awesome. It is good since there are a lot of activities that kids can actually do.
Juho J — Google review
Lots of things that you can do here with kids. Price is not bad at all. Super kind and friendly workers, too. Were really having fun here. The best thing was puuhamaa grilli customer service. Recommending 😊
Saara G — Google review
Very good place to spend a hot day with kids. Rides become lame after 1-2 times, but the water park doesn’t disappoint. The bad: food is crappy and expensive.
Claudio C — Google review
Went with a 4 year old and a 14 year old. We were there for opening at 10:00 and kept active until almost 19:00. Plenty to do. It was pretty quiet but well staffed. Didn't have to wait at all for anything. Plenty of sitting space while waiting for kids on every ride. Water park was clean and safe, with good slides for kids of all ages. We had a great day.

Willa Shopping Center

Shopping mall
Shopping
Large, modern mall offering many retailers, including department & grocery stores, plus cafes.
A beautiful place with all you can eat. The price level is more than acceptable, given the prices in the area. Great selection and amazing taste this place like me for a high position. I am very happy to come back here regularly.
Jan N — Google review
Lots of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and coffee-shops to easily spend your day.Good and spacious inside carparks. Visit and enjoy like we do quite often !;))
Lauri M — Google review
A one stop shopping centre for most of your home needs. From restaurants to pharmacy, specs shop, clothing and DNA phone provider, just to name a few. Likely also homing the nicest cafe in Hyvinkkää town, Kulmakonditoria. Parking is plenty of going by car. And it's easy to get to from the train station. Just one warning, personally found the mall a bit confusing to navigate particularly getting to/from the back side of it.
Maitte — Google review
Beautiful big shopping center with very standard mall brands. Nice place to hangout or to do the shopping. Quite big that even both Prisma and K- Citymarket both situated together. H&M, Gina Tricot and New Yorker etc cheaper fast fashion retailers available, and better premium brands such as Guess also situated here.
Mugi B — Google review
I love this place, especially vintage shop~! there is a lot of stuff and can find good products well :D also employees are kind. I go there quite often :D. I hope a lot of people know about that store. also I hope the store will be very active~!!!
휘바캣 — Google review
Only bigger problem is that there is no info about the store and restaurants location. You don't find what you need.

The Finnish Railway Museum

Museum
Historical landmark
19th-century station & engine shed setting for railway history museum with rolling stock collection.
Very nice and a well arranged place. Many train models are exhibited. Exhibits are well preserved. Sound effects in the exhibition halls are really nice. Anyway, it's bit difficult to see inside of some trains due to dust accumulation on the windows. Overall, recommended for both kids and adults. there is a special area for kids for some activities too. And a tiny train operates across the garden during the summer. You can have a ride. Just a short walk from Hyvinkää railway station. Staff is very friendly.
Rehan M — Google review
Great view over the history of the Finnish railways. Many old locomotives to see. There's also a cafe outside with a possibility to hop on a small train that rides around the park area during the summer time and when it is dry.
Juho Ä — Google review
Great half-day trip from Helsinki! The Finnish Railway Museum is perfect for families with kids. The miniature train ride in the garden is a highlight. There’s also a fun indoor play area with wooden train sets, drawing corners, and even a real locomotive they can climb into. The museum is just a 10-minute walk from Hyvinkää train station, making it super easy to reach from Helsinki. The museum grounds are spacious, with well-preserved station buildings and outdoor displays that feel like walking through a piece of history. A most to-do if you’re in Uusimaa.
Catalin M — Google review
Great museum with unexpectedly beautiful and nice renovated trains. The condition of the locomotives are very good and during my visit there was some outdoor event as well with some modern trains and a running locomotive. It was great to visit and just around the corner from where I was living.
Sander V — Google review
Great collection of historic trains. Several free entrance days, worth watching out for. Some days in the summer of steam trains running... But many more days a diesel is running. The park "ride on" train is nice, a 3min lap of the grounds for 1euro each. (Only runs in the summer)
Gabriel P — Google review
The museum located in an old locomotive depot. A lot of rare trains as steam locomotive's. Very nice place!
Mike C — Google review
I really enjoyed my visit thanks to the plurality of trains exhibited there. Despite the fact that the big hall is not heated, it was really pleasant being able to go really close to all sort of trains, and even to take look into the inside from the windows. The only negative point is that a big part of the presentation signs are only written in finnish and not translated.
Baptiste V — Google review
One of the most interesting museums in Finland. The Uusimaa area is full of quirky modern art museums so it’s exciting to visit a history themed one that provides insight into the development of not only railway but also technology and the entire country as a whole. The museum’s premise is large, with many things to see and experience.

Ainola

Museum
Nature & Parks
Museum home of composer Sibelius in the villa where he lived with his family from 1904-1957.
Nice. The house Sibelius lived in for more than 50 years. No theme park. Just the house with furniture and the story of their lives. Loved it
Tony B — Google review
Please with this. The garden is beautiful and the place itself is a walk into a history book. The building itself is stunning and the rooms nicely kept. You can see a lot of the old ornaments and catch a glimpse of the of how people lived during this period. The garden is stunning and well kept. The cafe is also a nice place to hang out and walk around.
Rosana E — Google review
Very interesting home museum of the Finnish national composer Jean Sibelius.
Juho Ä — Google review
After seen Sibelius Monument in Helsinki, it's just natural that one wants to see Ainola, the home of Jean and Aino Sibelius where they lived some half a century and which is now open for visitors as a home museum. The ticket price is 16 euro (summer25) which sounds a bit expensive if we think that the entrance costs to Kiasma, Ateneum and other big museums in Helsinki some 20 euroa. But maybe the ticket price doesn't matter so much if one is really interested in life of Finland's most famous composer.
Hannu T — Google review
A visit to Ainola had long been on my bucket list, so I arrived with high expectations. It's easy to see how the last 20 years or so of Sibalius' productive career, could have been influenced by such a stunning place. Today, the environment is a little spoiled by the proximity of a trunk road. But the house and gardens are unchanged since those days past, and you will appreciate the beauty and calm they install within you.
Sean J — Google review
Beautiful house and gardens. Highly recommend taking the time to visit the 'temple', the route is absolutely stunning.
Anne B — Google review
Really nice buildings and park. The interior and art collection are great. And the sauna! Worth visiting even if Sibelius is not your thing!

Water & Amusement Parks
Serena Water Park is a large water park in Europe that offers a variety of pools, slides, and spas suitable for all ages. The park features thrilling rides like Villi Virta and provides amenities such as lockers and dining options. Visitors can bring their own food and enjoy the day at the park from opening to closing time. With indoor and outdoor attractions, it's an enjoyable destination for both kids and adults alike.
An fantastic waterpark for the complete family. Outside slides have been upgraded and renewed in 2024. You have a lot of slides inside and outside for all ages..baby areas, toddlers and adults. At the wintertime only inside slide open. You can also organised birthday parties there. Only thing I don't like is the restaurant. We always bring our own food. Cool box full of fruites, sandwiches and drinks brings an special family experience on low cost.
Reeni — Google review
Nice place to spend time lot for kid to do. Get little overcrowded inside when they close outside due thunderstorm for a while. Get very load noice instead when all people was inside same time. Food at place very slow, ketchup was empty many say about it took over 10 min for them to refill it. Que to buy food and they close second place to order food instead to have both open. Buffé not to recommend and burgers was soso. Work to buy todays ticket when buy ticket instead to upgrade afterward.
Kjell G — Google review
For a family of 5 and all kids above 8yo awesome place as all attractions are suitable. Highly recommend renting the cottage as well.
Kristjan P — Google review
Extremely clean, beautiful, and exciting. I wish it was grass instead of asphalt.
سعید غ — Google review
Great overall experience. Perhaps they could do something to ease the queuing for food in hot weather. They could have some water fountains as well, that would help as I heard a mother telling her kid not to drink from the pool as she saw a floating piece of poop. I want to believe it was just her way to warn her kid from the dirty water. 🥲
Adri E — Google review
Parking 5e per day. You can park and pay at the machine near the entrance. During 12pm, there was separate queue available for advanced booking. They allows outside food and there are dining spaces. Better to go with swimming suits or shorts as all others will be wearing those. Locker facility available in the dressing room, take 2euro coins to access them. Hair dryers are available in the dressing room. Many rides are indoor. First aid medicines are kept there.
S J — Google review
Serena is the best water park in Finland and open all year, although the outdoor attractions are closed during the winter season. About half of the water slides are indoors, and the indoor area is warm all year. The park offers waterslides for the whole family, and the biggest ones serve also the slightly daring ones. A mediocre restaurant offers burgers, a buffet lunch and some smaller snacks and during summer time there is also an ice cream kiosk. Serena is a great day trip distance on a beautiful summer day.
Viliina L — Google review
Good waterpark, a lot of sides for all ages. But if you looking for saunas and relaxation, better go somewhere else. Also, you have to bring money or card if you are going to the restaurant, it is not so convenient.

Kuusijärvi

Nature & Parks
Parks
Kuusijärvi, located just north of Helsinki in Vantaa, is a popular year-round recreational center offering various activities for families and visitors. In the summer, it's known for its excellent swimming facilities and sandy beach, while in winter, it offers cross-country skiing opportunities. One of its highlights is the public smoke sauna called Savusauna, providing a unique experience for visitors to enjoy the sauna before cooling off with a swim in Lake Kuusijarvi.
Feeling bored??? Pack your swimming costumes and head for this place. You can go swimming, do grilling, have fun in sauna, play outdoor sports, lay on the beach for the warmth of the sun, opt for a walk and so on. You can literally have fun in way more options you will find here. You will enjoy more with your own buddies or hang out with anyone as well. Loved every bit of time here.
SHWETA C — Google review
Ice skated in the lake with a layer of thin snow and thick ice, very nice 🙌🙌
Daffa B — Google review
The smoke saunas are truly authentic, and we met plenty of locals while we were there, which is always a good sign. It is very easy to reach by public transport and also makes the perfect stop after a hike on one of the many beautiful nearby trails. Practical tip: Bring your flip-flops and shower gel, though both are available for purchase on site. You can also rent towels if needed. A word about timing: The smoke sauna opens at 2 pm, and the temperature gradually drops throughout the day. Because it is heated in the traditional way, there is no thermostat, so the temperature cannot be controlled or predicted precisely. Early in the day, around 3 pm, it can reach up to 135°C (275°F), which most people would find far too intense. By the end of the day, it may drop to around 50°C (122°F), which could feel a bit too mild. From what we gathered, the sweet spot tends to be between 4 and 7 pm for most people, but it really depends on the day. If the smoke sauna happens to be too hot or not hot enough during your visit, the electric saunas in the main building are excellent. There are two for men, and we assume there are also two for women. Each one has its own character and charm. They are designed in an authentic Finnish way and offer a great alternative or complement to the smoke sauna. Important to know: Swimsuits are required in the smoke sauna and in all outdoor areas, including when cooling down in the lake. In the electric gender-separated saunas, however, you are not supposed to wear anything and are expected to use a seat pad. We went in naked, but we did notice that even some locals kept their swimsuits on, so it seems you are free to wear whatever makes you most comfortable. The lake itself is lovely. It has a few clearly marked very shallow areas, ideal for children or anyone who prefers not to go too deep. But most of the lake is deeper, especially by the wooden deck, reaching about three to four metres, which is perfect for a proper swim. At just €16, it is truly excellent value. While visits are technically limited to two hours, the atmosphere is relaxed. No one is watching the clock, and you will not be rushed out if you stay a little longer. There is also a cosy café serving tasty food and drinks, which makes a perfect way to wind down after your sauna session.
Thomas M — Google review
I stay around 6kms away from this place. It’s just two months since I landed in Finland and this place has already attracted me so much. I have been to this place twice so far. I take a walk on the side of the woods, take the 1.8 kms lake circle walk, feel the fresh chill breeze, journal for sometime. I love the tranquility and calmness of this place. The nature at its best. There is a proper swimming partition on one side of the lake and there are free saunas available. You can see lots of people taking bath even in end of autumn and beginning of winter. When you visit here plan to spend some good amount of time. There is also a grill available outside on the other side, so if you wanna have some grills and enjoy the nature, its a perfect place.
Rajee J — Google review
One of the best Sauna I've ever been. I'll definitely come back one day.
T Y — Google review
Beautiful natural park where you can swimming, jogging or go sauna. There is also restaurant where you can buy drinks and food. Recommend to visit in summer time.
Michael A — Google review
I simply love this place - lake, the forest path and it's easy to come by bike here, cause of the straight asphalt road heading here. Grilling and swimming are always a big plus. PS If you do not tired you can explorer in the Sipoo National Park at the same shoot!

Lovely art gallery and shop. Nice looking cafe, this time didn't buy anything. I went to the brewery/ locan goods shop. The road was really narrow but the view was quite spectacular to the sea. Saddly didn't take any pic from it. It was worth of the drive.
Maria K — Google review
It’s a cool drive there. Be aware that the road is really narrow. On your way out you can take the other way out from there also. The parking can be a tad crowded on the weekends.
Aix C — Google review
Very nice art gallery featuring all types of mediums. Interesting store and what looked like a good cafe all within the gallery. The drive there definitely takes you on backroads through beautiful lakefront landscapes that we would not have seen otherwise.
Pam G — Google review
Well, the art center was nice. Also in a beautiful location. However, it's a pretty commercial place. Lots of cars on the road. The municipality of Gumbostrand has forgotten about road maintenance. The road there was in terrible condition with gravel pits.
Tuija Y — Google review
Excellent place! We loved every part of it. Very beautiful exhibition and nice design shop. Exhibition is free of charge. Also has a good restaurant. Highly recommend!
Oksana L — Google review
Nice place, with great art and a small shop. The restaurant is very nice as well but slow and when ordering, they tend to forget to mention how long of a queue there is. We waited for 50 minutes for our food.
Matti — Google review
Great place to drop by to escape the summer heat. Fully air-conditioned with lots of things to see and buy. Clean, spacious bathrooms.
Kkero — Google review
The gallery and millieu are wonderful. Exhibitions included interesting works and gallery has a nice little shop. They also have a good looking restaurant that has quite minimalistic menu. Minimalistic is fine, if the food is good. I ate halloumi salad and it was quite bad. It had regular dry salad with can corn, cucumber and water melon. It had almost no oil/balsamico/dressing so it was dry and boring. Bathrooms were nice and clean but they should mark them all as unisex. Will go again and give the restaurant a new opportunity.

Lakeside villa designed in 1903 by a trio of renowned Finnish architects, with guided tours.
Fantastic weather to sit down and relax with a nice hot cup of coffee and pastry and enjoy the sun and peace at the cafeteria terrace followed by a visit to the museum and a pleasant walk around the gardens and then through the countryside down to the beach, the whole experience was truly amazing.
Stuart C — Google review
Visited the manore together with a Ukrainian guide who gave us a nice excursion into the life and world of three renowned architects and their families who lived there. Now the museum is open only in the part of Saarinen premises. The entrance fee into the museum is 10-15 euros. The territory around is wonderful. There is a open air cafe open from June there. Definitely worth visiting.

Great place to visit in the summer! Interesting unique interior, nice surroundings- garden and a small beach down the hill, interesting history of the place. Definitely worth coming here at least once! Free entrance with the museum card. Better come by bike because the car parking is usually full

Very nice mansion complex and museum for a day tour near Helsinki. Though I do not have much knowledge of architecture, I still managed to enjoy the well-designed studio home and the amazing view. ”Work is the key to creative growth of the mind.” Btw, it is covered by the Museum Card.

A marvelous place that brings visitors serenity. We strolled through the forest and alongside the lake whole afternoon, enjoying summer sunshine to the fullest. - The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday during summertime.

In a city full of neoclassic, minimalistic and functional design, this building still stands out as one of the best examples of Finnish architecture. The view over the lake is glorious at almost any time of the year. It is well maintained and organized.

Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the heart of Helsinki, Temppeliaukio Church is a unique attraction known for its distinctive architecture. Carved directly into solid rock, the church features rock and rubble interior walls, complemented by a striking copper-lined dome and skylight windows that allow natural light to filter in. This popular venue also hosts concerts and offers visitors a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Temppeliaukio Church is one of the main tourist attractions in Helsinki. Tourists come there by bus, by vans, by walking... 8 euro entrance fee doesn't matter, people wanna see what is "must see" in Helsinki. So, tourists who have only one or two days time to spend in Helsinki prefer to visit Temppeliaukio Church. One can hear there a real mix of languages. No doubt, Temppeliaukio Church is worth of visit. It is architecturally a very special building. To create this kind of church - a church excavated into the rock, with a dome made from copper strip for ideal acoustics, with ceiling windows for natural light to come in - has been a genious insight. Even though there were so many visitors in Temppeliaukio Church when we were there, I enjoyed very much to finally see well this church.

Temppeliaukio Church, also known as the Rock Church, is a stunning example of modern architecture. Designed by architect brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, the church was completed in 1969 and is carved directly into solid granite. Its unique design features a massive copper dome and natural rock walls, creating a serene and awe-inspiring atmosphere. The interior is circular, with natural light streaming in through 180 window panes, highlighting the rough-hewn rock surfaces. The acoustics are exceptional, making it a popular venue for concerts and events. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful ambiance and admire the innovative design that blends nature and architecture seamlessly. While the €8 entrance fee is reasonable for such a unique experience, it's advisable to check the schedule for any events or services that might be taking place during your visit. Overall, Temppeliaukio Church is a must-visit attraction in Helsinki, offering a memorable experience for architecture enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

This distinctive church, renowned among tourists, features two stories. For those interested in photography, I would suggest going upstairs, as it offers a more convenient angle to capture the captivating interior. Please be aware that there is an entrance fee.

Such a cool church. On the eye, probably the most aesthetically pleasing. €8 euro entry fee, but id say it was worth it to see. Just a beautiful church
Jjj M — Google review
Beautiful and interesting church. Worth a visit. You do not need a long visit but nice to take a look around and admire the structure. NOTE: They do not have any public restrooms when you are visiting
Andrea D — Google review
We visited this "stone church" or "church in the rock" on purpose. The relatively expensive admission fee (€8) is surprising, as it discourages tourists who are only interested in taking photos, but also those who would like to appreciate the unique architectural design and modern sacred atmosphere, which is truly unique. We sat listening to pleasant ambient music for about 40 minutes and silently watched the preparations for the event, when hundreds of (unfortunately electronic) candles were lit. The visit was pleasant, and the space invites you to return just for the atmosphere. However, due to the not-so-symbolic admission fee (especially for poor visitors from Eastern Europe), I would think twice about it.
Michal S — Google review
I loved the architecture of this church beautifully made - never seen anything quite like it !! Thus i find the ticket pricing should be at least 5 euros when theres no service as theres not a lot to see , its just one main room.
Andrea B — Google review
Unique church, luckily a pipe organ artist came in to practice when we were visiting. The music was phenomenal. The church is very acoustic, must be ideal for a concert experience. And there’s no cross in the church. We learned it’s the open heart of Christ accepting everyone with any religion.

The Helsinki Central Railway Station is a beautiful and awe-inspiring building located in the heart of Helsinki, Finland. The station was newly designed in 1909 to modernize it and accommodate the ever-growing demand for rail transportation. The two statues at the station symbolize the whole Finnish railway system, which has gained success thanks to recent TV commercials.
What a stunning building! Helsinki Central Station is not just a train hub, but an architectural masterpiece. It's incredibly efficient, easy to navigate, and a perfect gateway to explore the city. Definitely worth admiring even if you're not catching a train.
Matej M — Google review
Beautiful from the outside but undergoing many renovations that make it very inconvenient and hard for foreign travelers to find any services. When I finally found the VR office, employees ignored me until they finished their personal conversation. The beautiful wooden doors are a major pain when it comes to getting through them with luggage-wish they were automated

The Airport Express train stops here which is right at the city centre. Navigation can be slightly confusing but you’ll eventually find your way around it. Stunning architecture as well!

Helsinki Central Station This is the last stop coming from the airport. As many cities in Europe, this train station have restaurants, restrooms and other amenities. This is the main station in Helsinki. The main entrance is beautiful.

Beautiful, effective, easy to navigate (even if you only speak English), obviously very central! We arrived in from Tampere and had no issues finding our way out and to our hotel, easy peasy!
Gordon M — Google review
Very large main train station to the center of Helsinki. Plenty of ways to get here and relatively easy to read the signs to figure out where to go. Trains and terminal are relatively well covered so you only need to venture out occasionally in the bad weather to get to your train.
John D — Google review
Railway station is very historic and the architecture is fabulous. And it comes with all the modern facilities like locker storage, info center, VR office, and other shops like subway starbucks and fancy restaurants. The waiting area is huge, however benches are limited which are mostly occupied with drunk people if you come late or early morning. Connected to most of the areas with metro and tram and also a cab station.
RupeemeetsEuro — Google review
The outside of the station is stunning with its clock tower and the Lantern Bearer statues. Inside it was clean, light and airy. There were places to eat, luggage storage and toilets. You do have to pay for the toilets. Cards are accepted. I did not use them, so I cannot comment on cleanliness. There was a ticket office. For HSL trains, you can choose your zones and tap on when you board. AB tickets are valid for 80 minutes and can be used on other transport modes. ABCD zones are valid for 110 minutes and allow transfer to other modes. Tickets can also be purchased online. Day tickets can be purchased. The station is disability accessible. There is an assistance point at platform eleven. There are accessible toilets.

Kamppi Chapel, also known as the Chapel of Silence, is a modern architectural marvel situated in Helsinki's vibrant Kamppi district. Designed by K2S Architects, this elliptical wooden structure stands out amidst the urban landscape. Its minimalist interior and serene ambiance offer visitors a peaceful retreat for silent contemplation and reflection away from the city's hustle and bustle. This unique space provides an opportunity for personal introspection and tranquility within the heart of the bustling city center.
The Kamppi Chapel is a peaceful oasis in the middle of busy Helsinki. The wooden interior and soft lighting make it feel calm and welcoming, perfect for a quiet moment of reflection. A small but unforgettable spot — definitely worth a visit!

Very small Chapel in the centre of Helsinki. Nicely designed mostly wood . Closed on a Sunday which I found odd for a religious building. Inside silence must be observed .
Peter M — Google review
1 | A very interesting chapel in the center of Helsinki, notable for its unusual architectural design. It is made entirely of wood and has received several architectural awards. 2 | Unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside because it was Sunday. Strangely enough, the chapel is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Nevertheless, it is so remarkable that it’s worth seeing even from the outside. 3 | The entrance fee to the chapel is €5. I can’t really say whether it’s worth paying. 4 | The chapel was only opened in 2012, designed by the Finnish architectural studio K2S Architects. It is 11.5 meters high, and the section with the altar has no windows at all.

The Kamppi Chapel, often called the “Chapel of Silence,” is a truly unique experience in the middle of busy Helsinki. The modern wooden architecture is stunning, and stepping inside feels instantly calming — a peaceful escape from the noise of the city. It’s not about religious services but about offering a quiet moment for reflection and stillness. A beautiful example of design meeting purpose, and a must-visit if you want a few minutes of tranquility during your trip.
William O — Google review
Interesting building made from a variety of woods. Inside it is very quiet if you are not inside with rude tourists! You are asked to be silent inside the chapel. It is just the chapel room, we were there maybe 10-15 minutes max so it’s easy to slot into a busy schedule and take a breather.

Very nice chapel. Of course, it’s quite a sight externally. €3 it cost to enter, which was fine. It’s a shame that pictures aren’t allowed inside, but it’s very beautiful. Silence must be observed.

Just across the square from Oodi, this wooden chapel offers a moment of absolute peace. The design is simple but powerful. As soon as you enter, the noise of the city disappears. I sat for a few minutes just enjoying the silence. It's a beautiful reminder to slow down.

The Kamppi Chapel, also known as the Chapel of Silence, is a unique and serene space nestled in the bustling heart of Helsinki. On a sunny day, the chapel's wooden structure glows warmly, inviting visitors to step inside and escape the city's hustle and bustle. The chapel's minimalist design creates a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for quiet reflection and contemplation. The gentle curve of the wooden walls and the soft natural light filtering through the skylight create a sense of peace and calm. It's a place where you can truly disconnect from the outside world and find a moment of stillness. Located in the Kamppi district, the chapel is easily accessible by Helsinki Regional Transport (HSL) zones A and B. It's just a short walk from the Kamppi metro station and several bus and tram lines. This makes it a convenient stop for anyone exploring the city center. Whether you're seeking a moment of peace, an architectural experience, or simply a break from the city, the Kamppi Chapel is well worth a visit. Helsinki Cathedral

Helsinki Cathedral, designed by Carl Ludvig Engel, is a grand neoclassical landmark with an iconic green dome. Located in the heart of Helsinki at Senate Square, it attracts both locals and tourists throughout the day. The cathedral's gleaming-white facade stands out against the cityscape and is particularly striking when illuminated at night. With its towering central dome and four smaller surrounding domes, this iconic structure took over 20 years to build and was completed in 1852.
It was under construction, but still a sight and experience to behold! I recommend as a visit. My family and I enjoyed it. Outside near the church is great space to walk around and nearby restaurants to eat.
Linda N — Google review
Beautiful church. Unfortunately, it was being renovated on the exterior when I visited... so that took away from the overall astetics. Also, the inside was a little stark compared to other cathedrals I've visited in Europe, but I still think it's worth a visit if you are in Helsinki.
Paul C — Google review
Helsinki Cathedral is one of those landmarks that instantly takes your breath away. Standing tall above Senate Square, the white neoclassical façade with its green domes is iconic from every angle — whether you see it from the harbor, the square, or climbing up the grand steps. Inside, the cathedral is calm and minimalist, a beautiful contrast to its imposing exterior. The high ceilings and soft natural light create a sense of quiet majesty, and it feels more like a space for reflection than decoration. The views from the steps are also worth it — you can look out across the city and the harbor, making it a perfect photo spot. It’s free to enter, easy to reach in the heart of Helsinki, and honestly a must-see whether you’re into architecture, photography, or just soaking up the city’s atmosphere.
Louie F — Google review
Beautiful cathedral! Make sure to also visit the nearby Uspenski Cathedral. Unfortunately, this one was under construction, so we couldn’t experience it fully, but the restoration work was covered nicely, giving a good sense of its full appearance. The interior was lovely — definitely a must-see if you’re already in Helsinki!
Ryan K — Google review
We had a special experience visiting Helsinki Cathedral as they were displaying Luke Jerram’s MARS within the cathedral. Cathedral is beautiful in itself but seeing the scaled replica of Mars with the sound track made for a unique experience. The cathedral is something to see when visiting Helsinki
Andrea D — Google review
Helsinki Cathedral is a landmark right in the heart of the city, and it is truly breathtaking at any time of day. Morning, afternoon, or night — the atmosphere changes beautifully, and each visit feels different. You can climb the steps and enter the cathedral, where the calm and solemn interior offers a moment of quiet reflection. During my stay in Helsinki, I found myself visiting almost every day. From 28 November onwards, a Christmas market is held in the square in front of the cathedral, making the area even more lively and festive. My schedule didn’t allow me to attend this year, but watching the preparations made me want to return and experience it in the future. A stunning place that never fails to impress.
Tomoe M — Google review
It was a pleasant tourist attraction with a large square. Regrettably, several areas were undergoing renovation during our visit. However, there were still a considerable number of tourists present.

Helsinki Cathedral and it truly lives up to its reputation as one of the city’s must see landmarks. The white neoclassical building looks stunning both up close and from the Senate Square below. Inside it’s peaceful and beautifully simple a nice place to pause for a moment away from the city noise. Don’t miss the view from the steps outside; it’s a perfect spot to sit, take photos, and just enjoy the atmosphere.

It was completed in 1852 to honor Tsar Nicholas of Russia and is a key element of Engel's grand city plan. Nearby, the Tori Quarter offers modern amenities within revitalized neoclassical buildings.
It’s indeed a beautiful church, in the centre of the city. Was undergoing renovations in back portion of the church. Basement has a cafe and exhibition space, and brick styled (entrance from a separate way), though can also enter from inside of the church.

I mean it’s a square alright. Very nice buildings around. Obviously topped by the big dog, namely the Helsinki cathedral. No fee to enter obviously, it’s a public area. The downside was that there was work ongoing in the cathedral which kind of dulls the photos but hey, it was still great

Senate Square, located in the center of Helsinki, Finland. The square is the oldest part of Helsinki and is Europe's most beautiful square. The large white building at the back, with green dome is Helsinkis cathedral, constructed between 1830 and 1852, as a tribute to Emperor Nicholas I of Russia. It is covered due to repairs and maintenance. Alexander II's statue, is in the center of the square, remembered for supporting Finnish Economy. The square is surrounded by neoclassical buildings like Govt. Palace, Helsinki's university building etc. Quiet awesome I must say, fabulously so.

We did the introduction walking tour of the gpsmycity, the tour was 3.1km in length and took us a few hours to complete, including taking pictures and stops. The tour started right here at the square and and ended at the Temppeliaukio Rock Church. It was a good introduction and the scenery was marvelous.
Patrick X — Google review
Visited Senaatintori, the historic heart of Helsinki, but unfortunately much of the square was under renovation during our visit. The main cathedral and surrounding buildings were partially covered with a temporary facade, which made it hard to fully appreciate the architecture. The square itself is spacious and historically significant, and it would normally be a stunning spot to admire Helsinki Cathedral, government buildings, and cobblestone layout. Worth visiting if you’re in the area, but be aware that the view may be obstructed during renovations.

Perched atop a hill in Helsinki, Uspenski Cathedral is the epicenter of the Finnish Orthodox faith. Known as the 'Russian Church,' it boasts an ornate exterior with red brick and distinctive onion domes. Inside, visitors are treated to lavish interior decorations that reflect Orthodox Byzantine style influenced by Italian Art Deco. With its thirteen towers and east-facing crosses symbolizing Jesus and the Twelve Apostles, this cathedral stands out as Scandinavia's largest Orthodox church.
A gorgeus architecture of orthodox church! Is a must see place when you are Helsinki , capital of Finland. Words about this place can't describe the beauty of the building. The Uspenski Cathedral is considered to be the largest Orthodox temple in Northern and Western Europe. The cathedral’s size is emphasized by its location on the highest hill of the Katajanokka district. The central cupola of the cathedral is 33 meters high. The cathedral was designed by the Russian church architect Aleksei M. Gornostajev. The Uspenski Cathedral was consecrated on October 25th, 1868. The Uspenski Cathedral is consecrated to the Dormition of the Mother of God (uspenie). The praasniekka church festival (also known as prazdnik or kermis) is held annually on August 15th.

Uspenski Cathedral is one of Helsinki’s most beautiful landmarks. With its red-brick walls, golden domes, and hilltop views over the harbor, it’s stunning inside and out. The interior glows with gilded icons, chandeliers, and rich Orthodox detail — a striking contrast to the minimalist Helsinki Cathedral. Free to visit and just a short walk from the center, it’s a must-see in the city.

It is a pleasure to visit, and it is quite outstanding. There are many tourists. We can go inside but it is a small Orthodox-style church. If you are not particularly interested in churches, tou can still appreciate the exterior and the city view from its terrace.

Uspenski Cathedral is a striking and beautiful landmark that you can’t miss when walking along the harbour. Its impressive red-brick exterior and golden domes stand out against the skyline, and the closer you walk towards it, the more magnificent it becomes. You can also enter the cathedral, which adds to the experience. I visited on a weekday morning, and it was already lively with many tourists. Wandering around the area and taking in the details of the architecture was a lovely way to spend time. During my stay in Helsinki, I found myself noticing the cathedral almost every day, and it left a lasting impression on me. A must-see spot when visiting the city.

1 | The largest Orthodox church in both Northern and Western Europe is also the main cathedral of the Helsinki Orthodox Diocese. It is located close to the Helsinki waterfront, and I was personally captivated by its brick-red color. Around 700,000 bricks were used for its construction, brought from the Bomarsund fortress in the Åland Islands. 2 | The church features 13 gilded domes, symbolizing Christ and the twelve apostles. The main dome rises to a height of 33 meters. 3 | You have to climb several steps to reach it, but it’s worth it. Entrance to the church outside of service times costs €5.

Esplanadi is a lovely spot right in the heart of Tampere. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, as it is clean, well kept, and full of life during the summer months. There is a good balance between green space and places to sit and relax, which makes it ideal for a coffee break or simply watching people go by. The location is perfect too, with shops nearby and close to the main attractions. I give it 4 stars mainly because although it is beautiful, it can become quite crowded during the busiest hours, which slightly affects the peaceful vibe. Still, it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the city.

I suggest taking your time, the whole day, if you want to explore the island. There are cafes and restaurants, if you get tired or hungry. There is a supermarket, where you can get coffee and warm pastries. There are museums which are defenitely worth visiting. Walk along the shore and enjoy amazing views. Go explore the tunnels for sure, if you dare. Have a picnic if you wish. There are so many things you can do and see. The guide is also available. WCs are everywhere. Only fragments of the fortress survive, mostly stretches of old stone walls and a few scattered pieces of artillery such as catapult remnants, yet the site is still a great place to wander and enjoy sweeping sea views. There apparently is some history exhibitions but it was unfortunately closed on the day of our visit and nobody bothered to tell us beforehand. Still full price ticket. They are showing “art” of a lunatic and you can buy an espresso for €3.50 at 22 floor. So for €19 you are taking a lift to see dirty carpet, dirty toilets and not working floor windows (except 1) - absolutely pathetic. Now I know why they do not accept ICOM cards - they would have to be ashamed for what they are actually selling. Absolute SCAM - as those places are everywhere in the world free - when you are having a restaurant or cafe in the top where you can spend your money ((

Very big disappointment! So many things are wrong about this place. When you buy a single full admission ticket online it’s 18 euros, same ticket on the spot will be 19 - cashier didn’t give heads up about it while selling the tickets. There’s almost no exhibition, really just several photos and fun facts, all looked old and used, and seemed that designed for children, not adults. There’s a small exhibition on the 2nd floor, also auditorium, then on the floor 21 there’s 360 degrees observation spot (not impressive, same old and used) and on the floor 22 - restaurant and small part of the open terrace where you can walk behind the wire fence. Overall, really overpriced place, and I cannot understand why do many positive reviews… We do not recommend it!

Really enjoyed our visit here! Definitely worth taking the time to see, especially if you make sure it's on a clear day. Wonderful 360 views of the entire city and great educational areas about the tower.
Rashida B — Google review
The TV Tower offered good views and a simple layout for exploring the upper levels. The outlook across the city was impressive and worth the trip, but the experience itself felt limited. Beyond the observation deck, there was not much in terms of interaction or engaging features, and it could easily be developed further to make it more memorable. Staff were polite and efficient, and the tower was well maintained, though the overall visit felt short. It was worth seeing once for the view, yet the tower itself could make more of its space and history to improve the experience.

The Tallinn TV Tower is a very interesting and modern place to visit. The highlight is the edge walk — you can even take photos sitting on the edge, which is such a unique experience! Our guide Annika made the tour really fun with her great explanations about Tallinn. Definitely worth it!
Andej B — Google review
The Skywalk at Tallinn TV Tower is an unforgettable experience! Walking along the edge, 160 metres up, was both thrilling and a bit nerve-wracking—especially with the wind, but the views are absolutely spectacular. Sitting on the edge and dangling your feet over the ground is something I’ll never forget. If heights aren’t your thing, you can still enjoy the views from inside, check out interactive displays, or try the VR flying experience. The staff were friendly, the gift shop was reasonably priced, there’s plenty of parking, and the panoramic views over the botanic gardens and the view to Tallinn and beyond are amazing.

Viru Gate, dating back to the 13th century, is a significant entry point to Tallinn's Old Town. The gate consists of two large watchtowers covered in ivy and serves as a major sightseeing attraction in the city. Originally part of a defense system, it once guarded the bustling market square beyond. The gate leads down to the city center from the castle and offers incredible views from the top.
I loved everything about that place. I lost my card and I found it untouched. I felt safe... I don't know if it actually is but I did. Beautiful and calming energy. I walked around at night so not lots of people either. Magical. I'm in love
Miyurin — Google review
There truly are a lot of gates in old town and out of all of them this is the best one. There are also some nice flower shops right outside the gate. I also suggest going to the park next to the gate like an upper level of the gate viewing area for some better photos and less crowds. It’s rare that the better photo spot also has less people

(Translated by Google) A beautiful medieval well-preserved place! You don't need a ticket to enter Tallinn Old Town or to explore the city gates. The two towers are a fairytale entrance with some flower shops at the local market which are great for taking pictures and you can also buy souvenirs there! Basically, it is very photogenic and many people look at it every day. Great to stop by and explore, highly recommend!

The Viru Gate in Tallinn is a captivating entry point to the city's charming Old Town. The well-preserved medieval gates offers one a glimpse into Tallinn's rich history and serve as a picturesque backdrop for exploring the cobblestone streets and historic landmarks beyond. Whether admiring them from afar or passing through to explore the Old Town, the Viru Gate is a must-visit destination you can’t miss when in Talinn

I loved this and I had a great time here. As soon as you see this gate you can’t get lost because it leads to every other tourist attraction such as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Toompia Castle plus the Town Hall.

Up the street you will find the main square, town hall and some restaurants. Nothing spectacular but very cute!

Nestled at the entrance of Tallinn’s enchanting Old Town, Viru Gate (Viru värav in Estonian) is a striking portal that ushers you into a world where medieval charm meets vibrant modernity. This iconic structure, often the starting point for exploring Tallinn’s historic heart, promises more than meets the eye for those who take the time to delve beyond its impressive facade. Historical Background Built in the 14th century as part of Tallinn’s formidable city defenses, Viru Gate originally featured a more extensive structure, including walls and additional towers, which were part of the city’s protective system. Over time, much of these fortifications were dismantled as the city expanded, leaving the gate as a historical remnant. The two round towers that stand today are remnants of what was once a more complex entrance to the city, serving as a reminder of Tallinn’s medieval past. Unique Features and Hidden Gems 1. Medieval Tower Secrets The gate’s twin towers are more than just picturesque landmarks; they house narrow, winding staircases that are often overlooked. While not always open to the public, during special events or guided tours, you might get a chance to explore these hidden stairs. If accessible, they offer a fascinating glimpse into the architectural ingenuity of medieval Tallinn and provide a unique vantage point for viewing the surrounding area. 2. Floral Market At the base of Viru Gate, you’ll find a bustling flower market that brings a burst of color and life to the stone structure. This market is not just a delightful photo opportunity but also a testament to the gate’s role as a gateway to everyday local life. The flowers here are fresh and vibrant, often changing with the seasons, and browsing the stalls offers an intimate experience of Tallinn’s local charm. 3. The Secret Passageways Just beyond Viru Gate, tucked away in the nooks and crannies of the Old Town, are several less-trafficked alleys and courtyards. These passageways, some of which are remnants of old defensive routes, offer a quieter, more intimate exploration of the city’s medieval architecture. Look for the small plaques and signs that tell stories of past residents and historical events. 4. Nighttime Enchantment Viru Gate takes on a magical quality after dusk. The gate and its surroundings are beautifully illuminated, casting a warm glow that accentuates the medieval architecture against the night sky. Visiting after dark allows you to experience a different atmosphere, less crowded and more serene, with the added charm of the gate’s dramatic lighting. Tips for Visiting • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late evening to avoid the crowds and enjoy the gate in a quieter setting. • Exploration: Take time to walk through the small alleys just beyond the gate for a more authentic Old Town experience. • Photography: Capture the gate’s charm both during the day and at night to appreciate its full character. • Local Interactions: Engage with the flower sellers at the market for a bit of local interaction and perhaps pick up some Estonian blooms.

Hotel Viru & KGB Museum, located in Tallinn, was one of the first foreign-owned hotels during the Soviet occupation. It is known for its association with the KGB, who allegedly wired every room to eavesdrop on guests. The museum showcases artifacts such as uniforms, cameras, and spy gear used by KGB agents during that time. Visitors can explore two rooms that have been preserved since the 70s and 80s, featuring bugging devices and officer uniforms.
Book a tour on the website or make a reservation with the front desk. Meet up in the lobby about ten minutes before your tour. You're going to take an elevator ride up to the top of the hotel to learn about it's unique history as a means for the KGB to spy on foreign visitors. It's an hour tour and a thorougly enjoyed it. About 20 people on the tour and the guide leaves ample time for you to take pictures of the rooms. Great conversation and great views of the city too!

A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour from Mart, whose dry sense of humour, personal experience and bank of knowledge made it a good all-round experience. I considered it good value for money but be prepared to digest information at a fast pace as Mart speaks quite quickly! He answered all my questions in between stops, which I was very thankful for. A great way to spend an hour and learn more about a very interesting time in Estonia. Would recommend.
Louis B — Google review
Very interesting tour, a little on the expensive side, but I didn't mind paying for it. The tour guide is great, very knowledgable, you visit a couple of secret rooms on the floor that didn't exist and you also get to use both balconies facing in opposite directions to get a good view of the city. I don't think it said in the booking that the meeting place is the left side of the hotel lobby, there's a desk with the google map marker and the word "here"
Keri B — Google review
Our guide was excellent…. Very interesting and sincere. She shared her personal experiences in the Soviet Union in Tallinn, which made the experience much more meaningful. I wish that more of the hotel had been preserved for the tour.
Pam G — Google review
This was my second time visiting the museum for the guided tour and it was a really great experience. Our guide Pasha was really good at explaining and making it a fun and interesting tour with the use of dry wit and humour to make the stories come to life. You need to book your tour in advance and they get filled up fast since it's only for small groups so if you want to go make sure you book your tickets early! Keep in mind that the museum is only available with the tour at their specific times but it is really worth it even for Repeated visits!
Renate S — Google review
Quite cool, eye opening and interesting to learn about the KGB and the tech they used. 20€ seems a bit on the higher side in my opinion, the guide was great though and shared a lot of interesting facets
Tom — Google review
Honestly speaking, I’ve expected to see a bit more artefacts and equipment, but the museum is basically only two rooms on the rooftop of Hotel Viru. However, our guide Rene is an absolute legend with a lot of insight and knowledge about the history of this place, and how the KGB operated back then. Him alone was worth the price of admission. Fun way to spend an hour in Tallinn.
Antun T — Google review
Interesting experience, though a bit pricey for a 1 hour tour. Totally low-tech - the value is in being in the actual KGB spaces, hearing the stories, seeing the artifacts and photos up close. Bonus excellent views! The guide was informative, with a very dry sense of humour. Small tour group, so booking in advance is recommended.

Kadriorg Park is a historic city park in Tallinn, Estonia, established in the 18th century and home to the impressive Kadriorg Palace. The park features formal gardens, museums, and monuments. Visitors can explore a wide range of museums within the park, including art museums like Kumu Art Museum and unique ones such as the Estonian Health Museum and Soviet Statue Graveyard.
Kadriorg Park is a true gem in the heart of Tallinn. Beautifully maintained, peaceful, and full of history. The flower gardens are stunning in summer, and the autumn colors are magical. Perfect for a relaxing walk, a romantic date, or a family picnic. The Swan Pond, Japanese Garden, and elegant palace architecture make it feel like a fairy tale. Great place to escape the city noise without ever leaving it. One of my favorite spots in Estonia — always worth a visit!

**"Kadriorg Palace and its gardens are an absolute gem in Tallinn. The palace itself is stunning – a beautiful example of baroque architecture, with elegant halls and ornate details that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Inside, the art collection is well-curated and offers a great glimpse into Estonia’s cultural heritage. The gardens are just as impressive. Perfectly landscaped, with colorful flower beds, fountains, and tree-lined paths, they are a peaceful escape from the city bustle. I visited in summer, and everything was in full bloom – it felt like walking through a living painting. Even if you’re not into art, a stroll through the gardens alone is worth the visit. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time, enjoy a coffee in the nearby café, and simply soak in the beauty. Definitely a must-see when in Tallinn

Must visit if you are in Tallinn and enjoy art. The building is amazing and the collection is very comprehensive. A great way to understand Estonian history through the different artistic eras.
Spyros B — Google review
The Estonian Art Museum is located in an extremely interesting building in the middle of a beautiful park. Its art exhibition is split among 3 levels with level 5 currently being in renovations. Level 3 hosts incredible and stunning art pieces including the heads of multiple known people and their voice in a choir. Level 4 also hosted nice paintings however the last part of the exhibition was utterly horrifying. It included absolutely disgraceful, disgusting and unsettling displays of humans running around naked. As well as other terrifying displays which make you feel sick (black liquid coming out of a mouth of a human etc). It was gore and uncomfortable for a normal human being. I been to many modern art displays before and nothing ever compared to what I have seen there. I do not recommend bring children to the last part as it will leave them with scars for life.

The farm is a wonderful place with a large number of alpacas and llamas, complemented by a charming mix of goats, sheep, rabbits, and guinea pigs. It offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with restroom facilities and free parking available for visitors. The animals are friendly, and clear rules in three languages help ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. One of the highlights is the opportunity to interact with these beautiful animals in various areas, including outdoor spaces. The only slight disappointment stemmed from our own expectations and misunderstanding rather than the farm itself. We purchased an alpaca toy for our daughter and gloves for my wife, only to later realize that neither was made in Estonia or sourced from this specific farm. While this was a minor letdown, as we had hoped to support a local business, we recognize that it was our responsibility to check the labels more carefully before making a purchase.

We visited a small alpaca farm that had just a few animals, but it was still a pleasant experience. The alpacas were friendly and gentle, and it was nice to see them up close. While the farm is quite small and doesn’t have many animals, it makes for a quick, relaxing stop if you enjoy nature and want to meet these calm creatures.

Definitely recommended! Alpacas are so cute and friendly. You can also buy food (carrot) and feed them. The area itself is not too big, which was good for us and is good if you’re with kids. We were two adults and we enjoyed the time spent either alpacas. Very nice farm.

Tervise Paradiis Spa Hotel & Water Park is a laid-back hotel located in Parnu, Estonia's largest water park. The hotel offers a range of amenities including water slides, a spa, and even a bowling alley. Guests can enjoy massages, body treatments, and facials for relaxation. The hotel also features 2 indoor swimming pools, 2 spa tubs, and complimentary access to the water park for recreational activities.
Just came back from a stay at Spa Tervise Paradiis and loved every moment! The free pass to the water park was such a fun bonus — slides, saunas, jacuzzis, and more. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with a huge variety, fresh options, and delicious coffee. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Friendly staff, great location right near the beach — everything you need for a perfect getaway. Highly recommend for couples, families, or a solo wellness trip. Will definitely return!
Stiven D — Google review
Very nice hotel in an excellent location. The beach is close by. The general appearance of the hotel is modern. We had a room with a balcony with a great sea view. Our beds and air conditioning were ok. The spa with a good selection of different slides was a nice experience. The customer service was good. The breakfast did not fully meet expectations due to the limited selection of warm meat dishes. Usually just small sausages and fried bacon. The shower in our hotel room was a big disappointment because of too weak water pressure. However, the overall rating is very good.
Mika K — Google review
There has definitely been a downgrade with this spa hotel. They don’t clean the rooms during your stay, even if you stay for the whole weekend. Generally the cleanness could be better! Spa area is little bit outdated, I didn’t see anyone cleaning the area during the stay. There is one bar but there is only one worker and often the bar is even empty and you have to wait for a long time for someone to come. Also - our baby got awful rash from the pools. Next day we saw that the pool in sauna area was closed.. maybe there was something in the water then. Breakfast wasn’t very good either. I wouldn’t visit it anymore, I think there are better spas in Pärnu!
Katrin S — Google review
Spa Hotel Tervise Paradiis is an excellent destination for both relaxation and family fun. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer beautiful views of the sea, making it a truly peaceful place to unwind. The breakfast buffet is good, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. The water park is a major highlight, especially for kids and families. It features four exciting slides and several fun activities, making it easy to spend hours there. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and stress-free. One thing to be aware of: the water park uses a high amount of chlorine. If you have any sensitivities, allergies, or skin issues, it might be something to keep in mind. I experienced a bit of a reaction myself, so just a heads-up for others in a similar situation. Aside from that, everything was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a family vacation or a calm seaside escape.

I really enjoyed the hotel. We had a rainy week during our stay at Parnu so the water park was extra useful. The kid really liked it. The small indoor play room was also great for the kid. The room was clean. The food in the hotel isn't very tasty. Not in the buffet or the restaurant.

Visited spa - took sauna package with spa. Uselessly spent extra 15€. Saunas were full, small, impossible to use. Spa/water centre was full as well, with poor hygiene- floors were never mopped, dirty. Do not remove shoes! Be careful in the pools -tiles are extra slippery. For the price that we paid and gas money from LV it was not worth it.
Dace P — Google review
Convenient for families, beach front, fun waterpark, not very clean or fancy, too expensive for what it offers. I liked: 1. Big rooms, family rooms (2 connected rooms) are great for families. Big balconies. Clean, modern rooms. 2. Waterpark is very fun for kids and adults. My 4 yo loved the slides and the baby pool. 3. Location on the beach, near the bog. But a 25 min walk to the old town. 4. Big parking (but not free) 5. Dinner buffet was good quality, although not many options. But it included soft drinks and coffee. Would not get the half board option again, but it's good for families with kids, for convenience. Didn't like: 1. Cleanliness is lacking significantly. Didn't see any staff cleaning anything during our stay. It gets very dirty and messy by the evening. Aquapark is run down, old and rusty. Needs a renovation. 2. Aqua bar - just one person is serving, cashing, preparing the food. Big ques, not efficient. 3. All AquaPark feels understaffed. Nobody supervising slides. Nobody cleaning. It's a no man's world. 4. Hotel communal areas need a serious renovation, it feels like an old communist hotel. 5. Average breakfast. 6. For the huge price paid I expected a sea view room, but got rooms looking over pipes and ventilations. Very disappointing. Also very noisy at night. 7. Weird dinner hours 17-19. Inconvenient for my family. 8. Sauna world is a joke. It's very small and crowded, only has 5 saunas, a small pool and an onsen. Would not pay again, you can use saunas in locker area. Also cleaning lady came to close saunas at 21 00!! 9. Everything opens at 11, very inconvenient, especially on a rainy/cold day and closes at 21 30, although it says everywhere and on their site that closing hour is 22 00.

We extra drive there to see the museum. The museum should be open but the doors were locked. We called the number shown at the door and lady said it should be open but it wasn’t. We have been waiting for a long time and then left. With us were waiting the Finnish people and nobody couldn’t visit the museum. So be prepared that you can’t visit it.

Good size museum, big outdoor space and sweet cafe. The staff is very friendly! Taking the long blue forest route was worth it; after the walk you arrive to a gorgeous beach ☀️ There also seemed to be a charging station for electric cars.

Museum with interesting exhibition (please be attentive to details :-)) surrounded with nice activities for kids and grownups. You can find several trails around the museum as well. There are 2 options for trails through the magical forest - shorter and longer trail where longer reaches see what is absolutely a must if you like walking. Nice place to spend a day!

Nice place to visit but anyway a little overrated. Price isn't worth it but to visit this place once is ok. Would be somewhat boring for really small kids. Big exhibition of lots of things, even those that are not about Münchhausen but still interesting. Lots of taxidermy animals ))) For kids would be interesting to play outside - there is for additional fee a big wooden ship made as children playground. Haven't been on wooden track - decided not to pay that crazy price just for a walk in the woods ))))

Charming museum, beautiful grounds and playground with huge ship in the middle. My kids 5 and 9 had a blast there! We didn’t have time to go through the forest to the beach but wil come back!

Beatiful small museum , well organised about Munchhausen , second in the world. Everything about Munchhausen on a first floor, wax museum of Latvian celebrities and historic figures on a second. Huge playground for kids to enjoy. Fee applies. 1 km long walk and walk to the Baltic beach with white sand. Beautiful view. Interesting place to visit.
Nadezda M — Google review
Kids playground is dangerous and run down, no maintenance done in along time, poorly made repairs possessing serious risks of injury. Forest trail has seen better days.

Very cool! The taxidermy was really cool to look at, the staff was very nice and friendly - even had a nice chat. The wax people were a little creepy, but i loved it. Especially Hercogs Jēkabs, felt like he was lookin right back at me, looked into my soul. Overall, great experience.

The place is really beautiful. The parking costs 2 € per hour there but it’s free at the other places in the city, so it’s better to walk a bit. Lot of touristic equipments.

Access gravel road is not the best and you have to pay parking, but the area is kept nice with good views.

Very nice place with many wooden paths. We experienced a beautiful sunset at this place. If you come with a car there is a paid parking lot: 2€ per one hour.

Not crowded and nearly perfectly clean. There's not much space for any big beach activities, but it's fantastic if you're looking for a nice, peaceful time.

beautiful scenery of the river Inčupe flowing into the sea, the path is well maintained and offers panoramic views of the area.

This beach is an absolute slice of heaven, a true paradise! The unbelievably vast expanse of the softest, whitest sand imaginable invites you to completely relax and soak up the warm, radiant sun. The water is crystal clear, sparkling with a stunning turquoise color, perfect for all sorts of water activities, from swimming and surfing to snorkeling and simply floating and enjoying the view. The beach is exceptionally well-maintained and offers a wide range of first-class facilities, including spotless, modern restrooms, refreshing outdoor showers, and an extensive selection of restaurants and shops that cater to every need and desire. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with something for everyone, whether you're a family seeking fun, a solo traveler looking for peace, or a group of friends wanting to create lasting memories. The natural beauty of the beach, combined with its outstanding amenities and the welcoming vibe, makes it an unforgettable destination, an experience you'll treasure long after you've left! It's a truly exceptional place!

Public beach, not crowded, but there are no toilets. Overall, the beach is clean and well-maintained, but there are only a few small spots that offer shade. Therefore, if you want shade during the day, bring a sun umbrella with you.

Another amazing beach walk. You are walking along the beach on the wooden path with the option to come down to the actual beach. There's a children's playground. The view is spectacular.

Bīriņu Pils

Hotel
Sights & Landmarks
A 19th-century castle hotel with regal rooms, a spa area & an indoor pool, plus Wi-Fi.
The best trip we had!! Friendly staff, historic background, clean and refreshing nature outside... It's just that perfect! Not to mention, there is a corner with bunnies and even place with horses! The only downside were the high prices in the restaurant for the supper, but, overall, the experience was worth it! ✨

We chose Bīriņu castle for our wedding dinner and a 3 day stay. It was just amazing! The food quality was superb, both the breakfast and dining experience was 10 out of 10, food quality was excellent as were the choices. We also used the SPA facilities which were great, steam and hot sauna, pool with a jet massage, we used it 2 times and when we booked it, the entire place was reserved just to ourselves and we could enjoy it fully! Also the location is nice, great walks in the park etc. And sleeping in the palatial apartment was an experience of a lifetime! We will always remember this stay! Thank you so much!

Amazing castle as a hotel and park and horse riding and boat renting and walking and eating. We had different people in our group, different ages, all had fun. We stayed for one night in castle-hotel and truly enjoyed our time here. The personal was amazing, the way they keep the castle alive is really appreciated.

This is an outstanding resort and hotel. The place is very eclectic. Although the building is old, it’s really well kept and you could tell that the management is working hard to do a fantastic job. The service, for us, was really superb. Evija in particular is outstanding in her service. She’s doing tons of things around the house, she was at the reception greeting us then at the kitchen preparing excellent food and many other things—and always cheerful. The breakfast was absolutely stunning. Too much food and all is of excellent quality. The room was very clean. I read some negative reviews, but our experience was really positive. One important thing to note is that the room only had sheer curtains on the window. Sunset is very late, and sunrise is very early (in the summer), so the light bothered us, especially early morning. Just be prepared with something to cover your eyes. The grounds are beautiful with lots of places to walk and explore. My wife and I really like this place and we highly recommend it.

Don't charge an entry fee for a castle that you aren't allowed to visit because of a private event. Turn people away or give then access to the castle grounds for free as they drove to get there for nothing already anyway. Didn't stay here so can't comment on the rooms, but i paid an entry fee so I feel I'm entitled to leave a review.

Beautiful place – perfect for walking, swimming, or enjoying a meal at a local restaurant. Everything you need is available, even boat rentals. The area seems well-maintained and cared for. It’s quiet, peaceful, and affordable. Highly recommended to visit in any season.

Everything was perfect, the staff was friendly and everything was amazing it was not why im not giving the last star. Im not here to creep someone out, again, the hotel was amazing, but as I am someone who has mental issues, take what I say lightly. I was heading to sleep when I heard laughing, at first I thought it was the other guests having some sort of party, however I quickly brushed that idea aside after what happened next. I started heading to sleep, watching Facebook short videos and all, but then I heard someone whisper my name. I thought I misheard it, so I just ignored it. A few minutes later I heard it again, but loud. Then I thought someone was calling me from outside, but my husband was out with his friends in their room, and he didn't tell me he was coming back, so I was confused. I had a hard time falling asleep that night, it felt like someone was watching me the whole night. The second day was great, until when I came in my room at around 3pm I felt like someone pushed me into the room. I thought maybe my mind was just messing with me, but after that happened a couple of times to me, but not to my husband, I started getting paranoid. My husband blamed it on my mental health and just completely brushed it off. However when we had left the hotel I finally felt the feeling of being watched dissapearing. Maybe its just my paranoia, but that's my experience, other than that I absolutely loved the hotel and everything about it❤️ the hotel is also dog-friendly
