Beautiful museum! I absolutely love when museums are filled with statues and this one was filled with them! The building is stunning as well, with sort of an indoor garden by the entrance and big rooms filled with artwork. There’s also a rooftop which was a surprise and has a stunning view of Copenhagen. The reason why I’m not giving them more stars is because of how rude the staff were in the mummy section. There were two young boys (staff apparently) who kept whispering and talking to each other without caring there were people in the room. It completely ruined the vibe and I felt really uncomfortable. I understand it gets boring down there and you need to pass the time, but could you NOT talk when people are there? The amusement park is next door so you will probably hear some screams thought out the museum which was also creepy at times but inevitable. Overall I recommend it. I spent around 2/3 hours there and think I managed to see most of it. You can purchase the ticket online with the QR by the entrance and it’s cheaper. Video of the cute plushies! So expensive tho.

A must-visit museum in Copenhagen! The Glyptotek is absolutely stunning, a perfect blend of art, history, and architecture. The collection ranges from ancient sculptures to impressionist masterpieces, beautifully displayed in serene galleries. The central winter garden is breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere feels peaceful and inspiring. I could easily spend hours here. Truly one of Copenhagen’s cultural gems!

Glyptoteket is, hands down, the most beautiful museum in Copenhagen. The atmosphere inside is incredible – there’s really nothing else like it, especially when you walk through the Winter Garden. It’s such a peaceful and stunning space. The exhibitions are great too, especially if you’re into ancient Greek and Roman culture. That’s definitely my favourite part of the museum. I also really enjoy the Egyptian section, and it’s super cool to go downstairs and see the mummies. They do have other exhibitions with paintings, but that’s not really my thing, so I usually skip those. For me, it’s all about walking around and admiring the statues

I think this might be one of my favorite museums I have visited in my life so far. The statues were incredibly moving and beautiful, and the interior of the museum was breathtaking, every corner is designed with such attention to detail. The exhibitions are also very interesting, and I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone coming to Copenhagen. The museum also has a restaurant and bar where you can enjoy a drink or a snack, as well as a shop with unique items if you’d like to take something home. Plan at least 1 to 2 hours for your visit. Unfortunately, we only had 45 minutes since we arrived close to closing time, but it was still worth it!

One of my favourite museums in the world, absolutely love the range of art and artists. Impressive selection of French artists, if you love sculpture then it is a great place to visit. It’s also a beautiful, well curated environment to boot.

Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is one of Denmark’s most iconic art museums, founded by the Carlsberg brewery’s visionary creator. The museum houses thousands of rare and precious works — from Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome to 19th-century European masterpieces by renowned artists like Rodin, Degas, and Gauguin. A unique highlight is the Winter Garden, a stunning indoor oasis filled with lush greenery and natural light — the perfect place to pause and soak in the timeless atmosphere between the galleries. Good to know: Admission is free on the last Wednesday of each month, so don’t miss the chance to explore this world-class collection at no cost.

Beautiful museum with a wonderful indoor garden/courtyard, ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, and an amazing Ancient Egypt exhibit with real mummies and art from 5,000 years ago. They also have interesting audio to listen to where you can put on headphones and listen to an expert describe more about the art. I listened to the one where an expert on hieroglyphs described what an ancient stele was describing. One of my favorite museums. Good to note if you want to go that buying tickets online is cheaper.

Totally worth the visit! It has a very cool architecture spiraling all the way to the top, ending with a rooftop deck, amazing views and also an observatory. It has some art installations inside too.

The round tower is a must see if you visit Copenhagen! It is Europe’s oldest observatory building and it offers breathtaking views of the city. There is an art gallery on one of the floors which has some interesting pieces

Great attraction right in the city center. The ticket costs around €8. The climb is easy, with very few steps, and the views from the top are beautiful — you can see the entire city from above. There’s also a small museum and a small art exhibition inside. I didn’t visit many attractions in Copenhagen, but I’m glad I visited this one.

Not to be missed. The line was short (on a late Saturday morning). Built under the direction of Danish monarch Christian IV between 1637 and 1642, this impressive tower offers stunning views of the København skyline along with the Øresund Bridge and Sweden in the distance. There are stairs only at the top; the sloping ascent made it possible for Christian IV to view his realm while riding in his carriage.

Beautiful building and it was awesome that the tower's path is the slope so it was such a nice way to travel up and down the building, I love it! Fantastic view of the city skyline at the top with a cool astronomy tower within ☀️🌙⭐🔭 There are bathrooms, shop, and gallery half way up the path. You can find a little details about the building and a replica look like it made from cork. Also an art gallery at the shop. The old bathroom was very small and interesting 😁 The final path way up the Round tower is a narrow tight space stairs so you have to wait for the lights to go up and come back down as there is only enough space for a one way traffic. It took up about an hour to get up, look around, and come back out. Definitely a recommendation of things to do in Copenhagen!

A nice walk up the round tower! Not staircases, just a walkway like walking or driving up a multi-story parking. 😃 lovely 360 views at the top if the weather permits. Lucky when we went it was dry and sunny so it was just perfect!

Absolutely breathtaking experience! The Church of Our Saviour is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but also offers one of the very best views of Copenhagen. The spiral staircase up the tower is a little challenging, but that only makes reaching the top more rewarding. Standing outside on the winding staircase with the city right beneath your feet feels magical. You can see all of Copenhagen – from the canals and colorful houses to the modern skyline. Totally worth the climb, and a must-visit spot if you want a unique perspective of the city!

Beautiful place! Climbing to the top and amdiring views of the city is one of the nicest experiences in Copenhagen. Important note - there is not only a lot of stairs to the top, but in some moments it's narrow and steep stairs. So it's not so easy to get there, but really worth to visit.

If you see one place for free in Copenhagen, see this church. It's spectacular! If you pay for one sight, pay for the ticket to climb the tower. The views are, quite simply, breathtaking. Outstanding 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The church is impressive! Did like it from the outside better than from the inside. There is a movie that is shown and it was disappointing that it was only in Danish. I mean with so many tourists please put English subtitles on. The tower is very impressive and the view real beautiful. But please don’t go up if you have vertigo as it is very high AND NARROW. I did expect some kind of platform on the top but the stairs just got more narrow and more narrow and ended at some point. A bit weird to be honest. For what it is I would say it’s not worth your money. If you have to pay please make it better and also the number of people should be less for one time slot. It’s quite hard to cross paths on those narrow and steep stairs. I do give it 4 stars as it is quite unique!

I visited only the tower... What a view - just make sure you don't suffer from vertigo and can move agile... The view is spectacular but it's really narrow up there. You might wanna go for sunset. We didn't have wind when I was there but I assume once there is... It's not very hygge...

Rosenborg Castle is a historic site in central Copenhagen, best known for housing the Danish Crown Jewels and Royal Regalia. The rooms are well-preserved and give a good overview of Denmark’s royal history. The Treasury in the basement is a highlight. The surrounding King’s Garden is open to the public and great for a walk. Worth a visit if you're interested in history or culture. Buy tickets in advance to avoid lines.

Rosenborg Castle is a wonderful place to visit: full of history, charm, and beautifully preserved treasures. The interiors and royal collections are fascinating. However, the exhibition lighting could be improved, as some areas were quite dim and it was difficult to see certain displays clearly. Overall, still a great experience and definitely worth visiting!

Well truely a marvel of the history. Absolutely loved the aura of the castle and its surroundings. There is big park and lake in front of the castle. It is easy to get to the place, thanks to the well connected public transport systems. The architecture of the castle is something that is worth mentioning. I would recommend to read and learn about the history of the palace before visiting it so that you can just relive the past and get a feel of the same. If you are planning to go in a weekend, be prepared to wait for sometime as there would be rush.

Not wheel chair accessible. My first ever Royal Castle. Be prepared for low light conditions. The history is right up and close as I have ever been in a museum setting. So respect the access. I loved looking at all the fine quality work completed by the period artisans and amazing quality especially all the inlay works in wood, tile & gems. Stunning if you live feeling the history. The Royal Treasury is exceptional and shows what was valued and when. Even in October when I went the Gardens were blooming.

Beautiful and well-kept heritage. I tried to visit the day after the Copenhagen half-marathon, but I didn't have time to get tickets online so that I couldn't get inside. I recommend buying tickets in advance. However, upon walking around, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful castles I have seen recently, compared to what I saw in England.

Cool old castle. Lots of history. Some interesting stuff that you don't normally see in a castle like a farting chair and a king's toilet. This is like the old and more castle-ish version of Danish aristocratic housing. For the real palace feel of the monarchy visit Christiansborg Palace. The royal family actually live in nearby Amelienborg.

Beautiful site and an easy walk from the waterfront. You can also peek at the King’s Gardens out back — immaculately kept, of course. The day pass is worth it for convenient access to the castle. Free lockers are a nice touch, and the guards with bayonets add a bit of royal drama. Inside, the halls are filled with art and artifacts — the grand hall with the thrones and lion statues is a standout. Don’t miss the Crown Jewels in the walk-in vault downstairs, complete with a step ladder for the perfect view. A truly regal visit, well worth the stop.

A very pleasant and lively area. A boat tour is recommended. You can see many places in an hour. I think there are two boat tours. One is very cheap. You should ask about the difference and choose accordingly.

Visited Nyhavn over the weekend and absolutely loved it! 🌈 The colorful houses along the canal look stunning, especially on a sunny day ☀️. Tip: for the best photo, click from the opposite side of the canal 📸. Lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the cheerful Copenhagen vibes 🇩🇰.

Nice view to take pictures. Both side of the canal has dozens of shops to hang out and buy souvenirs. All are expensive then what is priced outside of this zone. There is a big obnoxious ship in the canal and it is hard to take a nice reflective photo with the colorful buildings. That is why I personally like the one in Trondheim Norway.

Lively waterfront with many restaurants! I love the atmosphere but it was very crowded at the same time. We had a Thai food at Charm restaurant close by for dinner and the ice cream for dessert just across the road from Vaffelbageren Nyhavn. It's definitely a lovely place to walk around and soak up the vibe!

It's a must see and very photographic landmark area. There are numerous restaurants and small shops. You catch a canal tour here as well. Don't forget to visit the shop where Hans Christian Anderson once lived.

If you want to see only one place in Copenhagen, it should be definitely Nyhavn. Fabulous and lovely! Full of nice and cozy cafe and restaurant around it.

Visiting the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen was a memorable experience. The sculpture itself is smaller than I expected, but it’s beautifully placed by the water and has a certain quiet charm. The surroundings are peaceful, with lovely views across the harbor, and it’s a nice spot for a walk. Even though it can get a bit crowded with tourists, it still feels special to see such an iconic landmark in person. A must-visit if you’re exploring Copenhagen!

The Little Mermaid – A Symbol of Copenhagen We visited the famous Little Mermaid statue, and while the statue itself is quite small, it’s definitely worth the visit. Nestled along the waterfront, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, offering peaceful views and a scenic walk leading up to the site. The walk itself is part of the experience – calm, relaxing, and filled with lovely views of the harbour. Do keep in mind that it’s a popular attraction, so it can get quite crowded. If you're hoping for a quieter moment, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. A charming and iconic stop on any Copenhagen itinerary.

Copenhagen in the Spring is a nice, relatively quiet port with mostly the usual features of European / Scandinavian ports. The only unique attraction is The Little Mermaid statue, small but with it's own history of abductions, kidnapping and beheadings. If you're lucky your guide will give you the local story of the Little Mermaid which is more of a Danish Tragedy, so beware of little ears who are enchanted by the Disney version. It isn't magical but it's interesting lore. Here are a few other shots of the city as there are ample and better pictures of the Mermaid than I could get under the lighting conditions.

The Little Mermaid bronze statue, located in Copenhagen, sits on a granite rock, on the water side of langeline promenade. It is 4.1 ft tall and weighs 175 kgs. The Statue was based on the fairy tale of Hans Christian Anderson and was unveiled to the public in 1913. However, it has now become a target for defacement, due to uncaring attitude of some people, despite attracting those tourist and visitors, who are smitten fairy tale lovers, ofcourse that includes me. I loved her quiet gaze, an unassuming sureness of her existence to continue.

I visited the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen around dusk since it gets dark early this time of year. It wasn’t crowded, which made it easy to take pictures. There were no tickets or anything like that, you just walk up to it. The statue itself was nice to see in person, though it felt a bit simple to me. Still, it was a fun stop and worth seeing while in the city.

it’s a very beautiful and symbolic statue as the sea wraps around it. around the mermaid there’s also a very nice park with amazing statues and church! there are a lot of people coming there for pictures so be prepared if you come in the afternoon!

Free activity - a little underwhelming to be honest, it’s also quite far out to the north of the city. If you on a tight schedule probably better to skip but if you have plenty of time & love the Hans Christian Andersen stories then pop past for a photo - there are actually some beautiful sights near the little mermaid which you can enjoy

A beautiful castle built in the early 17th century. The alterpiece made of ivory and gold looks majestic. From the pre-historic to modern times, there's a lot to see. The gardens are a treat for the eyes and the castle is worth it.

The building is being repaired as I went there, the inside is cleaned and well-maintained. The artworks of the royals and the shields are a bit special though, I also enjoyed the nouveau history bit that was shown on the third floor. The price was good for such a big exhibition. Now as for why I'm only rating it 3 stars, I personally don't think it's worth going out of your way to buy a ticket outside of Copenhagen to go here, because the inside of the castle looks a lot like that of any other's in Europe that I've been in so it's not very memorable and the vicinity is pretty bland in comparison with the inner part of the city.. don't misunderstand though, I'm not warning anyone against visiting this. If you're using public transport I'd recommend buying single tickets and not the big city pass, outside the main city the town isn't very touristy.

It is definitely a castle that must be visited. But you should spend a day to visit it. İt is very big and detailed rooms inside. The best thing: it is also possible to use audio guide to understand exhibited pieces.

The most beautiful castle i have ever seen, no doubt. We got lucky as well to be able to hear the oldest working organ being played, amazing spectacle, i recommend planning visit according to the schedule of this performance. Wherever you look in this castle there is something beautiful to see. Really amazing and there is a massive beautiful park as well with small coffee shop to sit down, relax and enjoy the view.

Frederiksborg Castle is a grand and beautiful castle located about an hour from Copenhagen 🇩🇰. You can take a train to Hillerød Station, and from there it’s an easy 1 km walk to the castle 🚶‍♂️. Entry fee is 110 DKK per person, and the castle is surrounded by stunning gardens and a peaceful lake that make the whole place truly picturesque 🌿🏰. When we visited, some parts were under renovation, and the museum inside didn’t have much that was interactive. Still, the architecture and royal atmosphere make it a pleasant visit, especially if you love history and photography 📸. If you’re short on time, we’d recommend visiting Kronborg and Rosenborg first, and then Frederiksborg — in that order ⏱️. Each has its own charm, but Kronborg and Rosenborg felt more engaging overall ✨.

Nice place to visit if you are staying in Copenhagen and have half a day extra time! The castle is surrounded by a very beautiful park and a nice lake. The museum also worth visiting, if you are interested in danish history!

Why visit? ✅ If limited on time, tour the grounds for free (no cost). ✅ Regarding the grounds, there are so many different views to enjoy while walking the property: gardens, waterfronts, bridges, courtyards, etc. ✅ The castle interior (admission required) is loaded with artwork, antiques, and rooms that stun with both size and intricate detail. Why skip? Honestly, I can’t think of any reason. If limited on time, at least walk to the grounds to get a good look. If spending a day in town, this is THE attraction to visit.

This is a lovely easy day trip out of Copenhagen. A single 40 minute ride on the E train to Hillerød station then a 15 minute walk or short bus ride to the castle. The castle is huge and rarely crowded, but the vast rooms, artwork, and gardens are gorgeous. Check out the tour times before you visit - we were lucky to arrive just in time for the English language tour and it was superb. The castle is an easy walk from town, but there’s also a small boat which does a lap of the lake and for a small fee takes you to the garden and the far side of the castle.

We knew this place was one of those 'must see' locations on the island of Sjælland and I vaguely remembered going there when I was 12, entry is also included within the Copenhagen Card. We had actually spent the entire day in Copenhagen the day previously and so had always planned to head north the following morning. We were back at Tivoli by the afternoon so definitely recommend this as a day if you've the stamina. Very impressive castle and worth the visit. It would probably have been better a few weeks later when the wee boat on the Slotssøen was running again (too early in the season) but then I imagine you'd want more than just a morning in the area when the weather is warmer too. The bonus was that it was really quiet - you'll see from the photos we were often the only family in these huge and spectacular rooms.

About an hour by train outside of Copenhagen city centre and then 10 minutes walk from Humlebaek station. The ticket can be book online but it was also super easy to buy it on arrival with no queue when we go on Sunday midday. There are a little bit of outdoor sculptures and some indoor gallery. Nice view and some interesting displays. There are 2 gift shops, one on the ground floor and one downstairs. I had a fun train ride.

This museum is a wonderful reason to take a short trip and experience another side of Denmark beyond Copenhagen. It offers a great opportunity to focus on and appreciate the works of talented contemporary artists. The outdoor installations, in particular, blend beautifully with the gardens and surrounding landscape. The number of artworks feels just right—not overwhelming—allowing you to take your time, enjoy the scenery, and relax as you explore, especially on a pleasant day.

Really amazing museum. Large galleries, beautiful outdoor space with ocean views, great 2-story gift shop and restaurant. Plan to spend about 2.5 hours wondering around. Really enjoyed the exhibits and architecture. We bought our tickets online and they were good for one use within one year of the time of purchase. The train ride is about an hour from downtown Copenhagen.

Beautiful museum, really recommend the trip out of the city to visit. Great, easy train journey too with a short walk to the museum which is set in the most fabulous building and grounds. We booked tickets in advance so we didn’t have to queue, which id recommend if you can. Loved the sculpture garden, definitely go on a dry day so you can make the most of the gardens and the views over the water. Wonderful cafe, with space to eat/drink outside in the sun. Great coffee. Beautiful shop with loads of fab design based gifts, art prints, ceramics, books and accessories. Cloakroom space through the back of the shop to store bags and coats in lockers is so useful. A card machine is available for those without local coins to use.

After being to several modern arts meseums I think they are not for my taste.I have to be objective tho. I think the exhibitions were smartly and beautifuly placed. The place itself was clean and not overcrowded. Nice cafe to relax, have a drink or a snack. Beautiful views at the sea while you walk in the garden area.

Visiting the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art was one of the highlights of our Copenhagen trip; it made for such a beautiful day out of the city. The museum is located in Humlebæk, about 35–40 minutes north of Copenhagen. We took the train and the journey was quick, scenic and very comfortable; once you arrive it’s only a short 10 walk from the station to the entrance ( just follow the crowd) The museum first opened in 1958 and was created with the vision of making modern art accessible in a place where people could experience it alongside nature rather than in a formal or intimidating setting. The architecture is stunning! Designed by Jørgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert, and the layout feels thoughtful and calm. There are long corridors of glass, open courtyards, natural light everywhere and pathways that lead you between indoor gallery spaces and the outdoors. It’s the kind of building where you notice something beautiful around every corner. The museum is known for showcasing both international and Danish modern and contemporary artists. They have an incredible permanent collection, and new exhibitions are rotated throughout the year so there is always something fresh to experience. The sculpture garden overlooking the sea might have been my favourite part; walking through the garden with large scale artworks and hearing the ocean just behind them felt very special. Inside there are two places to eat: one café outdoors along the sculpture garden path, and one beautiful indoor restaurant with large windows facing the ocean. We stopped at the restaurant and enjoyed a glass of wine and something delicious to eat while looking out over the coastline; such a peaceful moment in the middle of exploring. There is also a fantastic gift shop filled with design pieces, prints, books and souvenirs. Perfect if you want to take something home to remember your visit. This museum is big; we spent nearly the entire day there and I’m glad we didn’t rush. We took our time walking through the exhibitions, stopping for breaks, sitting outside, and exploring the gardens. It is absolutely the kind of place where slowing down makes the experience even better. Entry tickets cost 145 DKK for adults, with students holding a valid student card paying 125 DKK. Children and young adults under 18 have free entry. We bought our tickets on arrival and there was no wait at all, which made our visit feel relaxed from the start. Opening hours when we visited were Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 22:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00; the museum is closed on Mondays. I imagine summer weekends are the busiest, so if you prefer a quieter experience, weekdays are probably ideal. A quote that came to mind while wandering around was “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” It felt fitting, because this place truly lifts something inside you. If you are visiting Copenhagen and want a day where art, architecture and nature come together beautifully, I highly recommend coming here. It’s calming, inspiring and incredibly memorable; I would happily return again.

Lovely museum situated in a gorgeous place looking out on the ocean and Sweden. Loved some of the art, hated some of the art - the perfect modern art experience. The grounds were fun to explore and linked together with the sculptures and exhibition wings beautifully. Amazing shop as well, I wish I had more money as I would happily take most of it home

The guided tour was excellent. Our guide led us through the experience with great skill and engagement, no surprise, given his background in the art of acting. Highly recommended!

I went on an adventure to Landskrona's Citadel, it's a nice place on a sunny day to go for a walk for everyone. There are many activities and places to enjoy in the area also. There is a cafe inside by the castle. further down the road there is a outdoor training grounds and a skate park by the water tower, you can lay on the sun loungers that is set up facing the ocean where you can enjoy the view of the beautiful view. Furthermore, there are several places where there is a barbecue (grilling) spots with seats. * for parents or people with kids there are a playgrounds for the little ones down by the beach. Right next to the Citadel is Kaptensgården's sculpture park which is beautiful to walk through and there are many sculptures to look at and enjoy. I fully recommend this city and place.

Amazing castle with a lot of walking paths around it. People do fish in the water around the castle. There's also a very nice beach close to the castle!

The castle is worth a short walk. We walked arround it, and came to the main yard. It did not managed to keep its original historic buildings, but it was still fun hour spend.

It's almost look like malmö castle still beautiful. You can definitely spend few hours around citadel and the center. I would recommend to visit the museum nearby. It's a good experience and free of cost.

Very historical church , must visit and it’s near to malmo. It’s built in year 1100 and architecture is very beautiful. There is no entry ticket for this church. Usually there is lot of weddings happen in this church and some times it can be closed for visitors. There is paid parking available nearby. Lot of restaurants also nearby.

It's a magnificent ancient church that has retained its genius loci. There is an astronomical clock inside which shows not just time but also date and zodiac sign and it chimes, with moving marionettes, at noon. And this is followed by a short prayer and Bible reading, which I very much appreciated. The bookstore across the church yard is also very much worth visiting.

A large open museum of Swedish culture in Lund, few temporary exhibitions are hosting there, all of them are very interesting, and there are lots of exhibits of different houses and cultures which shows the Swedish life from the 1600s to the modern days The open museum area is pretty large and it's perfect to enjoy a cozy afternoon there. There's a restaurant, a café and a souvenir shop with some very interesting books. You'll most likely spend more than 2 hours there thetefore is better to go there earlier.

I was quite impressed with the open-air museum. Apparently, throughout the last century, they have taken old buildings from around Sweden as they were about to be demolished and took them apart and reassembled them here as life-size exhibits, showing life in eras past. The 18th century parsonage and the wooden church are probably the most impressive items in this museum. But one can also visit a 1920s mason's apartment, or tan early 19th century house of a local university professor (he lived well). The whole place is very kid-friendly and one can spend anywhere between two hours or a whole afternoon there.

Worth a trip to Denmark! It’s not only worth a detour to finish your Copenhagen pass, it could be the cornerstone of your entire trip; according to the Michelin rating, it’s the top note! The museum is set in a dry dock, adorning an incredible architecture. Very kids friendly, with a huge playing area that also instructs, it offers a story within the story with a clandestine mouse that the kids have to hunt for. As for the adults, the museum is multifaceted, showing history, WWII, the influence of shipping, but also stunning models and a mesmerizing photo exhibit of sunk boats and their treasures. Tank to the team, always smiling as they provide answers to the most obscure questions, and the generous donators that made this museum possible. The shop offers quality products designed or made in Denmark. If the cafe is closed, there is a huge indoor food trucks area nearby! There’s more than Hamlet in Helsingør!

It was our second visit to the museum, which underwent an excellent renovation during the winter of 2024–spring 2025. We continue to love the place, as do our kids. It’s a spot where you can learn a great deal about Denmark’s maritime history and spend hours admiring the many boat models. We highly recommend a visit and suggest planning to spend 2–3 hours there.

Impressive museum with a great shop selling quality merchandise. Well laid out with a qualiat the half way point. Every section of every hall has interesting artefacts, with everything fully explained on Dutch and English. Including the fractured skull of a sailor who fell from the mast of a tall ship.

This museum is so much fun, it deserves all 5/5 stars. Not 4.5, not 4.7, but a proper 5. The effect the museum had on us is that our new dreamjob is to design museums about on the surface boring subjects. Making ships this interesting, quite the accomplishment. It was very interactive, we learned a lot and we loved finding the hidden mice 🐭 (and we're grownups!) Discovered this museum thanks to the CPH card, and would recommend anyone to make a stop here, along with the castle right next to it. Great stuff!

Kronborg Castle is one of the most impressive and atmospheric places I visited in Denmark. Overlooking the Øresund Strait, this UNESCO World Heritage site is not only visually stunning, but also packed with history and character. Known worldwide as “Hamlet’s Castle,” it fully lives up to its fame. The rooms and royal chambers are beautifully preserved, giving you a real sense of the grandeur of the Danish monarchy in the Renaissance era. But the highlight for me was exploring the dark, eerie casemates — the old military barracks beneath the castle. Walking through those damp, stone tunnels really brings the past to life. You can almost feel the presence of the soldiers who once took shelter there. And then there's Holger Danske, the legendary statue deep in the basement. According to Danish folklore, this mythical warrior sleeps under Kronborg Castle and will rise to defend Denmark in her time of need. Seeing the statue in the dim light down there added a magical, almost mythological touch to the whole experience. If you're into history, legends, or just want to explore a magnificent fortress with great views and an unforgettable atmosphere, Kronborg is absolutely worth the visit. Take your time — there’s a lot to discover.

What an experience! One of the most interesting castle I have ever visited. There many things to see during your visit there make sure to be on time so you don't miss anything. The underneath area was very spooky and adventurous!

Visiting Kronborg Castle was such a wonderful way to start our week in Denmark; we went on a Monday (during shoulder season) and it set the tone beautifully for our week ahead. The castle is located in the quaint town of Helsingør, about 45 minutes by train from central Copenhagen. The ride is comfortable and scenic, and from the station it’s a short walk into town and up to the castle grounds. We paid about 145 DKK for adult entry, students 125 DKK, and children under 18 were free. Kronborg dates back to the early 1420s when a fortress first stood here; later in the 16th century King Frederick II transformed it into the grand Renaissance castle you see today. The setting is dramatic: right at the narrowest point of the Øresund Strait, looking across toward Sweden, which explains its historic importance. The connection to William Shakespeare’s Hamlet adds a layer of legend and story: this very site inspired the “Elsinore” of the play. “To be, or not to be” seems almost to float in the air when you walk the corridors. We spent a few hours exploring and I’m so glad we didn’t rush; We enjoyed the whole castle, then ventured down into the crypts beneath the castle which felt a bit eerie, then examined the great halls, ramparts, the chapel and the sweeping views over the water. There’s a nice café inside and the gift shop nearby is well worth a browse and I found some beautiful keepsakes to take home. The town of Helsingør is charming, with historic buildings, small cafés and the sea at its doorstep; combining lunch in the town centre with our castle visit made for a really nice day out of the city. One important note: accessibility is limited; the castle has many stairs and no elevator, so it’s not ideal for wheelchairs. Opening hours when we visited were Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 until 16:00 in the off-peak season; the castle is closed on Mondays. During spring and summer months the hours are extended and on major holidays special times apply, so it’s worth checking ahead. Summer weekends in particular can get busier; if you prefer quieter exploring aim for a weekday morning. If you’re in Copenhagen and craving a day trip with history, drama and stunning scenery, I highly recommend Kronborg Castle.

Gorgeous summer palace with well tended sprawling gardens. Dahlias and Rhododendrons galore. Some flower beds have been kept the same for decades. The interior is so colorful and whimsical with storytelling placards. Be sure to have lunch on the back terrace!

Unfortunately for us, we were too early for most of the spring blooms (the park was not officially open, and we didn't need to buy tickets), but it was not hard to see that it is a spectacular place when the flowers are out. There are even little "forests" for the kids to play in. We will be back at a better time, for sure. Well worth the little detour to visit. EDIT / UPDATE We returned later in the season and the grounds were lovely. Plenty of flowers out to enjoy and more importantly, the buildings were open to visit inside. The "castle" is lovely and I am so glad to have been able to see it. There was an art exhibit inside (it was only so-so), in addition to the historical exhibit (well worth the time to read). I think we will return for out third visit later in the fall when the leaves have turned colour. Bottom line: We made two trips from Oslo (14 hours total driving each time) to see this place and are planning a third trip, so I think it is very high on out list, based on our willingness to undertake such a long trip.

We went to the ”Höstljus” (autumn lights) show. The whole park (or most of it) was decked out with various lighting installations. It was an awesome experience, even though the price is rather steep. There were aldo coffee-carts and some smaller vendors. Overall, highly recommended.

Wonderful peninsula for hiking - no difficulties. The round tour (marked orange) is recommended. Pack a bathing suit and plenty of time, it's worth it. The visit to the centre at the top (halfway point) is also worthwhile. Especially noteworthy, outside, the litter educational trail with the final post with plastic bags to help keep nature clean.

A nice view of the sea. Lot's of black berries around the hiking path. Parking is available on the site. Then you have to walk. Wheel chairs are not suitable as hiking area. There is a small ice cream shop and washrooms are also available in the shop. At exhibition area, you can see information about sea animals. In some areas you can take a sea bath. A beautiful place to visit in summer.

Walked from Mölle to the Lighthouse following the orange trail on the south side, took about 2 hours in slow tempo, with breaks, in the beaming hot sun. Would highly recommend walking there, the scenery on the way is amazing.

There are at least 5 hiking trails around this place with easy to hard difficulty levels. Be prepared for strong winds.

Interesting museum where you can spend some hours...inside or outside....with or without your kids

A great place for young and adults to enjoy history in a fun way and learn a few things. Kids loved it and we were more than happy to help them understand things. It was a little bit hassle to translate sometimes but otherwise really good. Locomotion was among the most fascinating things we observed. The concept of train station and ticket checker brings a lot of memories and its funny how kids today will never get to use these things, like an old ringer phone.

Small but great, lots of see and learn. Playroom has plenty for active children too. Also a train to ride outside ! Great value for money ! 10/10

Really fun museum. Pretty good English support but you have to ask for videos in English. Prices for food are really reasonable and ticket prices to get in are good. The new exhibit doesn't have many things to see and while it has alot of information but it's alot of reading which isn't great for small kids or even for adults with small kids because they will get bored. Will definitely come back.

Entry-60sek Must visit, if youre into history and curious of railways. Informative and very detailed about the ways of working of railways in Sweden. Has short movies and an auditorium which vibrates like a train. Lots of equipments, engines and descriptions of usage, evolution and working of railways, bridges.

We love this museum. It’s small but quite a lot of good stuff to see from the different time. It’s good for both small and big kids. I like that virtual tour like in the cinema! Recommend to everyone and we’ll come again too!

We had a great walk here. The weather was rainy, but the nature was beautiful even so. Everything is clear and there are toilets and also some drinkable water at a place along the thread. There are several threads we walked the 7,7km one.

You can enjoy various courses! I went with my kids, so we picked a short one, but it was still super fun! And it's awesome that you can enjoy the museum right in front of it too! Totally recommend checking it out! ✨

We went there on October 24th around 3 p.m. I know it was a bit late, but I only had a short time to see it. The drive to the park was very pleasant, and the parking lots were almost empty. Seeing it in the fall was truly beautiful - so colorful and peaceful. The trees, falling leaves, and the sound of the wind and water created a tranquil atmosphere. I really enjoyed my short visit there and took some amazing photos.

The hiking trails are well-marked and range from easy walks to more challenging routes, so there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend the Skäralid valley hike and the lookout point at Kopparhatten—the views are unforgettable! The park is very well maintained, with clean rest areas and helpful maps. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day in nature, a family picnic, or a solo hiking adventure. I left feeling refreshed and recharged. If you’re in Skåne, Söderåsen is a must-visit!

One of the best national parks i have ever been to. The trails are marked well. One can very well rely on the trail signs on the trees to safely complete the trail without getting lost. I had the pleasure of taking the longest route - the blue trail. Its easy for the most part except for few elevations, which tested my endurance. Remainded me why its classified as hard. The lady in the reception was super kind and helped me with her suggestions of the trail.

It's a very good place. We can see a lot of animals here for free and we can also do an adventure here with the good price.😉

We stopped here so our kids could play in the amazing park. We all thought it was superb. Furthermore the public loos that are on site here were the best I have seen (even in Sweden). The petting zoo was great fun for all of us as well and gave us a chance to really talk about different animals.

The playground is fun for the little ones, but perhaps less so for bigger kids. Lots of farm animals, and a large herd of tame deer. Didn't try the zip-lines but the large course through the tree tops looks like it would be fantastic. Pricey though, at almost 400kr.

Fantastic park for families. Petting zoo, great playgrounds, some museums, and a lovely ice cream shop. Also a train that goes into the city for the kiddos to ride. Plus entrance to the park is FREE!

Great place for a day out with the family. One of the biggest playgrounds I've seen, lots of different animals (chickens, pigs, deer, etc.), a cafe, and a waffle restaurant. There's also a place that has a ropes course high up in the trees.

This is beautiful place for leisure and so much fun for children. This zoo have variety of animals and birds. Also it organise some adventure games for kids during summer.

Comparative to other zoo in Sweden and this is fairly less entertaining, but there are good number of activities for the kids. They do not have any specific indoor marine or small animals and neither they have big animals like tiger lion elephant rhinos they have bear bison and nothing much fancy, a small dinosaur park is also good to see

We went before Halloween, the park was decorated very nicely. There was a good atmosphere and we loved the animals. It was a good visit.

Be prepared for a long walk 😊 We couldn't see all the animals but it was worth to visit. Buying the ticket online in advance (not the same day) will make you save a lot.

Very toddler friendly. There is a small Shawn the sheep ride area where you go with a tractor. (They do spray water on you during the trip, its super cute actually) The wall through the park is shaded. The dinosaur area is really cool, the dinosaur make noises and it can be a little bit scary, but is very fun even as an adult.

Nice place, especially for kids, but unfortunately we didn’t see any wolves or bears. Also, since it was a big day (Ebo Day), you could have staffed the food truck with more employees — it’s not reasonable to wait an hour just to get a burger sandwich, especially knowing there would be a large crowd.

It's a nice place to have a day out in nature. It's all native animals, though, and many of them are nocturnal, so you likely won't see every animal in the park out and about. I really liked the area for the seals, and I thought it was unique in the way that it was set up like a natural pond, rather than something more resembling a swimming pool that you usually see at zoos. It was a very hot day when we came to visit back in August, and the ice cream certainly helped offset some of the heat!

A beautiful nature area with fantastic places to take a bath and we even saw people jumping from a cliff into the water. Although we didn't dare. Highly recommended! Bring good walking/climbing shoes. The terrain can be hard to walk. We had a great time

Very very beautiful place. However certainly not really accessible with trolleys and kids if you want to go all the way down to the ocean. But anyway worth a visit. Good parking possibilities (free of charge), even possible to charge EV and PHEV vehicles. No idea about cost though.

Fantastic trails with amazing vistas. We came here on our first day in Sweden and were completely blown away. You can find all different kinds of berries along the way.

Adventure, camping and a great experience! We came early to have a full day at the site and stayed in one of their (2?) cabins. Everything was really great! We and our kids loved the treewalking, and the zipline. The cabin is newly built, accepts dogs and are great! Really good. We would def recommend a visit!

It’s a great park to spend a day. Zip line: You get to go on two zip line 670m and 740m. It’s quite fast for last 30-40 sec on each but still quite fun. Summer toboggan: This on last a little longer and really safe and fun. You get pulled by lift to top and slide free. It’s a kilometre long approx. You can shoot a video while doing this attached to this post Tree rope high course: you get a brief for 15 min about how do it. The setup is really safe. No chance of falling off once you lock cable while climbing. It can be really tiring once you complete all the course. There are 8 courses one of them being wall climbing. The website say 2.5 hrs to complete but it can take easily 4 hrs. Plus you need lot of energy to complete the whole. So better start the day early as it closes by 5 Pm. Overall it’s small but amazing park!

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing and unsafe experience. My cousin and I both fell during the ride and got seriously injured—our arms were bruised and scraped badly. Shockingly, there were no visible safety measures in place, not even a basic seatbelt. I find it extremely irresponsible for an attraction like this to operate without proper precautions. The slide itself was clearly old and poorly maintained, making loud and unpleasant noises. We even saw insects struggling on the surface, which only confirmed the lack of cleanliness and upkeep. It’s very concerning considering the number of people using it. In addition, there were no instructions or warning signs in English, which is considered a universal language—especially important for tourists. This lack of communication creates a serious safety risk for international visitors. I strongly advise others to be cautious and would not recommend this attraction unless major improvements are made..

It was a terrible experience. My cousin and I went on this slide, and at some point, we both fell. Our arms were badly scraped, and we were seriously hurt. There wasn’t even a basic safety measure like a seatbelt! I truly cannot understand how such negligence is possible. The slide was old and made strange, disturbing noises while operating. On top of that, there were insects visibly struggling on the surface—clear evidence of poor maintenance. It’s shocking that so many people ride this slide despite its condition. Moreover, there were no signs or instructions in English, which is a universal language. This is a major issue for international visitors and shows a complete disregard for safety and communication. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Great place for a day of activity. Try the Zipline, the Rodel or go tree climbing. Would go again, if im close by.

It was dangerous. There is no enough signs about breaking. We fall down and there is no one. If I die no one cannot see me and don't care about it. We get injured. We crash someone in front of us. Because we can't break. They were rude. Distance is not enough. Also it was so expensive. I will never go there again. I advice you to not go there.

Such a beautiful place to visit in this huge compound of different exhibitions. Even if you are not an art person, the open space and forest and walk around the compound is refreshing. I came with my elderly parents and a 6yo kid in early summer. Forest was lush, nice gentle walk with minimal crowd. Very baby stroller friendly too if you intend to bring one. Nice cafe there with enough selections of food. We skipped the restaurant as the options were a bit limited for my group. Highly recommended overall!

Wanås Museum is a beautiful spot, the outdoor sculpture park is the real highlight and it’s truly magical. Take your time to visit, especially worth it if you have kids! Will definitely visit again

So wonderful to stay here and tour the grounds. It takes 8+ hours to see all of the exhibitions. Definitely worth an afternoon walking the grounds.

If the weather is good this is one of the must-visits of the region. Calm, leafy forest sprinkled with art of different sizes that will occupy the conversation during the visit and afterwards. I come here every year, and will keep doing so.

Make sure that you have time to spend here at least 2-3 hours. It's a big park and the sculptures are quite far from each other. Some pieces are wonderful and perfectly built. Some are difficult to find but overall, we had a great time and experience. It's a really big area.

Many surprises waiting for you all of time in this beautiful forest, and you will discover new experiences and ideas of new outside arts in this place. This spectacular venue for contemporary art is based on an organic farm out in the countryside in Skåne. The permanent collection of about 70 artworks is installed in the leafy sculpture park. It is open all year. You can also find galleries indoors, a café , shop, and good restaurant.

Beautiful hiking trails in nature! I went the red route and apart from about 1/4 where the trail went through a commercial forest it was great. Only the signage could be much better. Orienting myself with the map didnt help much either because it is not very accurate. But if you take your time you'll get out eventually

Easy 800m walking path. Although there were longer paths as well. Stroller friendly . Small kid friendly There is a toilet 🚻 on the way . Parking place available for around 10-15 cars .

Nice and beautiful waterfall in the forest offering you a small trekking feeling. You have to walk around 15 minutes from the parking area to reach the waterfall. The way to the Fall is "car friendly" too.

Well if you like the nature then it’s a good place for having a little walk in the nature. There are sitting places as well. The forest made some nice vibes during the late afternoon for cool photography. But the waterfall is nothing special except the dark history related to that. My overall impression is ok.

A great visit to see Sweden’s “King of the forest”. They have 11 moose (& a whole herd of American bison) for you to visit. You can either drive your own vehicle or join the small land train with guided tour- we have done both now on different visits & both are excellent. The animals are clearly in their natural habitat & very well cared for, although it is an enclosure. They also have a great cafe (waffles are recommended!), restaurant, gift shop, kids play park & goat petting area too.

A nice way to get up and close to these very beautiful animals. We took the car safari, because the train had already finished for the day, but that brought the option to go at our own pace with our own car. The bisons were impressive too, they're so big and even had a few babies around! The souvenir shop is lovely too, lots of little gifts to remember the trip by :).

It was a wonderful experience at the Moose Safari Park. I suggest to take the train over your own car for a better safari experience along with tour guide in English and Swedish.

After a trip in Sweden without having seen a moose we decided to go to this safari park. Taking the little train proved to be of added value. You get to feed the moose and this they come close. I would advice to go early on the morning. It was a warm day and moose don't like that, so they were hiding in the shade as from noon, so not even interested in the food. My kids of 10 and 13 loved it. The food in the restaurant was also pretty nice. Never had moose or bison before. So overall a nice 2 hour attraction, but it could feel expensive if the moose (11 at the moment) are not active.

We drove in by car and most of the time you are just stuck behind the train tour. The poor moose must live in a constant cloud of car exhaust. The park seems incredibly compact and the bison area seemed very small when thinking of just how many bison there were. Maybe my expectations were too high when seeing a rating of 4.6, but I felt really disappointed. Not quite sure why this place has such good ratings?

We really enjoyed seeing the mooses up close from the train. They came over and ate the leaves we offered them. The mooses were majestic and absolutely beautiful! So it was extremely shocking to hear our tour guide mention that you could eat the meat of murdered mooses in the restaurant and you could buy their meat in the gift shop. What a disgusting and horrendous thing to do in a park where people come to admire beautiful living animals!

Nice park and very friendly staff. We got some hotdogs and waffles in the restaurant. But be aware, if you drive with your own car into the park, then you most likely will be stuck behind one of their trains for a while, which can be quite annoying.

A fine place to learn about Brio’s history. After midsummer a new Barbie exhition will open. There are already now a lot of Barbies to look at. Some restaurants and a café exist close to the museum. As ex-children we really enjoyed our visit.

A really fun place for smaller kids and adults who are into the Brio Trains. The museum is based in the former head-office of Brio, so lots of history around the place. There are various rooms in which executions are placed but an equal amount of rooms where kids can play at there own leisure. There is a softplay room, at least 3 rooms full of Brio trains and tracks. Some of which have tables with pre-build tracks but there is also one where you can build your own layouts. There is a separate section on Barbie and there is a larger area on the Model Railway brand Märklin. Here there are a few model trains riding along the tracks, activated by the buttons you can press. There is also a small slide and climbing setup as well as a pingpong table to play with. There is no on-site restaurant, so make sure to bring your own lunch. The former company canteen still serves as a place to sit down and eat something. They do have some tea and coffee making facilities on site to provide something warm to drink. We spend almost a full day with maximum entertainment for our 3 year old. Who had a blast and did not want to leave. On your way out there is a toyshop aswell as a small area within the shop which sells some vintage, no longer avalible old Brio stock.

Rated 5 stars because my 3 year old son loved it and played with the different BRIO sets for 2,5 hours. Do not miss the room in the back. The Exibition is further a bit small, not much to see to be honest I feel they missed a chance to show a lot of all the different BRIO playsets released over the years, but instead it’s a collection of bridges and the first electric train.

We spent 4 hours of joy in there! It is really a great place, where basically they let your kids play with a lot of toys in different rooms.

Very fun to see the toys of the past and realize how many Swedish toys made it to America. Tomten area was a little scary at first, but really cool to see the toy making process with the real machines used in the past. Wonderful play areas! I almost missed the store - it is quite distant from the museum exit and not at all obvious. Signs are there if you know to look for them; probably a godsend to parents who don't want to visit the store every single time!

Unbelievable many wooden toys BRIO have developed during the years. Nice display of their history, and a lot of play rooms for kids all anges.

Must see, if you are a fan of BRIO. Loads of trains for children to play with!

I was passing, so I called in. If you have spent hours and hours of Sunday afternoons in IKEA, and you're of a certain age ; you'll appreciate this walk back in time to see the stuff you bought, then offloaded on your kids in a pseudo encouraging way to get them to move out....

A really nice museum!! You can tell it was created with a lot of pride and love. Don’t pay attention to the negative comments saying it’s small. It’s not an art gallery where you spend four hours, but I still spent over two hours there. And it’s not about the time, the museum is really well organized, just like every IKEA store, with lots of details and notes about Ingvar Kamprad and the growth of IKEA. And don’t miss the merch store, it was also really nice!🇸🇪

Wow!! I especially enjoyed the different decades of furniture on display. It is a comprehensive look at the principles that IKEA was founded on and how those same principles have been applied throughout its history. We also enjoyed the restaurant and also visited the actual Ilea store a few km away. I only wish that the movie had given a better background on when/how IKEA began, more about the founder’s background, etc. No trip in this area of Sweden is complete without a stop here.

If you're a lover of IKEA, you'll enjoy visiting this place to learn about the history of this legendary furniture company. You'll also learn about it throughout the years and get to know its founder and how he started from the early beginning. One thing that can be improved is adding more lights arrows on the floor to guide you through the museum sequentially. The only thing I didn't like is the shop. I wished they offered magnets or keychains that contain the name of the place but found none.

This is a fantastic place to go if you are either an IKEA fan or a product design junkie. Since I am both, I was overjoyed to see how well designed and laid out this museum is and how detailed the exhibits are. I quite liked the background on their product design process, which included looking at the ergonomics of things like kitchen layouts. I would definitely put this on a par with the World of Volvo museum. This is a great place to visit with the whole family. The museum itself has a “workshop” suitable for kids, there is an Ikea hotel just across the parking lot with a communal kitchen on every floor (and plenty of games to borrow in the lobby), and a very unique (but still in the IKEA family) restaurant also off of the same parking lot.

I visited my daughter in Sweden and this is where they took me , loved it was great fun , a live stunt show and the line dancing was hilarious, the instructor was so funny , well worth a visit , lots to do also for children, it would easily fill your day

Wow, what a place to spend a day at. Worth spending a full day there.. Kids and adults liked it a lot. However, when we took the train, an amazing cinematic scene was done by the crew, but some of the kids got scared. It looked so real to them. A great selection of food with reasonable prices. Parking is paid

Place is a must visit for both adults and kids. Plan the visit as per shows timings. There are few rides on payment basis like train ride etc. Restaurants also available inside premises.

The shows are great, there are some nice restaurants. That are not overpriced so plus for that. The toy guns, hats and belts are not overpriced in the kids section. Before I come to the cons I understand that theme parks have to make money to pay for staff, maintenance and so on. But it's a bit pricey. 399kr for entry, 60kr for riding the train every singel time per person, 30kr to rent gold wash pan (you get a fake gold coin at the end so that is that). The bathrooms vary but the ones in the museum was not great and had the worse smell of sewer. Overall it's Okey, go for the shows.

Fantastic place to take the kids (both big and small!! 😉). Wonderful shows that don't take all afternoon (max 25 mins), stunts, singing and generally enjoyable. Shows are performed in Swedish (to be expected!) But it's OK not understanding the language as the acting makes up for it. The actors who come out to meet you after the shows do speak English as well and are all up for photos being taken. We paid extra for a second day (worth it!) As we didn't make it around for everything the first day. We went during 1 of the fellesferie weeks which meant it was really busy but we still hot to do everything and see everything so no complaints from us.

Very cool park. The interactive plays are very cool for the kids. It's a shame that the train ride costs extra; the tickets to get in the park are expensive enough, but the ride was very cool.
