Although the bulk of the medieval castle is no longer standing, the great hall still exists, and you can visit it for free along with the grounds. It includes a vast collection of giant commemorative "horseshoes" gifted by nobility and royalty on their first visit to the building.

the first time my partner and i ever came to oakham, we explored this lovely castle area in the evening time. i had never been to oakham before and he had prospects to move here, so we thought we’d look around. that was in february 2024 and this was my first time back since! a beautiful area with so much history. glad it’s open to pedestrians for free all year round, 24/7. fantastic for a wonder 🏰 i also loved the high flying rutland flag!

This place is fascinating and certainly worth a visit. The display of horseshoes is unique and very interesting as is the history of the castle. There is a cafe but it's quite expensive. Much better venues in the town.

Lovely little place, plenty of room for little ones to run around outside, nice information boards dotted around the place.

What a gem. Ancient building saved by its continuous use as a courtroom. Huge horseshoes on the walls, a tradition that visiting Royalty and gentry have to leave one makes for a very unusual experience combined with the beautiful oak roof structure. The volunteer guide brought the history of the place alive for us. There is a cafe too, sadly closed on our Monday visit. An unusual war memorial too, with the dates 1914 to 1919. If you fancy taking yourself off for some quiet time visit the holding cell. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Having grown up in this locality it was a delight to revisit this historic establishment free of charge with a 2 hour parking allowance with its royal horseshoe donations. Even moreso to sample home made cake at the new cafe along with meeting an esteemed acquaintance who was on duty. 😁💙🌞🇬🇧👍

We went for a comedy show that I surprised my partner on valentines day. I loved the atmosphere, very friendly and supportive staff. The arena was absolutely full, people were laughing mostly... some people were a bit shocked by the amount of extreme language and black humour... It was extremely difficult to find parking and to come our at the end, we waited more time to come out of the parking then the actual show time.

This is a wonderful theatre. Great service provided by the staff and always a great atmosphere here. Parking nearby is very convenient and the acoustics within the theatre is perfect. Watched Roachford and Level 42 on their UK tour. A great night out made special by the venue itself.

Northampton is privileged to have a great theatre. I had the best experienced while attending a recent show called Jamaica Love. A wonderful, educational and funny production, the whole communit enjoyed. It was easy to access, the seats were comfortable, the sound was great for such a big modern theatre, no echo's or sounding distant. Well worth a visit. Thanks for putting on a great show!

Great venue with amazing front of house. Northampton is lucky to have such a venue with multiple spaces and uses. Top class programme of theatre music etc bringing people into the town. Close to carparks.

We love the Royal and Derngate theatre. Always original and full of variety. Stalls seats generally best, but avoid front left or right stalls if you are going to see a rock band - you might be deaf for a couple of days! Upper circle (front) are super seats with a panoramic view of the stage.

This theatre is looking very tired. The seats are in a very poor state of repair with exposed foam on the seats and about 50% sporting poorly sewn patches. Also the seating is not offset or raked sufficiently, I was unfortunately seated behind a large man who completely obscured the centre of the stage.

Had a lovely day, it's about fun, simple rides and the park land. Food was not too expensive either, the baked potato in the cafe was quickly consumed with no complaint. We went to Alton Towers last year and whilst not comparable, this cost about the same as the food there, and in truth we had more fun. There is plenty to improve, not least the free playground and some of the buildings, but go with the right level of expectation and enjoy your day, helping to protect this little bit of heritage.

I was lucky enough to win four tickets to Wicksteed Park in a competition, and I went there yesterday. What a fantastic day it was! I absolutely loved my visit and would highly recommend the park to anyone looking for a full day of fun. The first thing that impressed me was how enormous the park is. There's so much space to explore that you never feel cramped or are fighting for room. The size of the park gives you a sense of freedom and the opportunity to discover something new around every corner. Besides the space, there's a huge amount to do. The variety of entertainment is impressive, with attractions for all ages. Whether you're looking for big thrills or something more gentle, there's something for everyone. We spent the whole day there and still felt like there were more things to see and do, which is a big plus. For me, Wicksteed Park is the perfect place for a fun family day out. The atmosphere is great, and with so much to do, it's impossible to get bored. It was an experience I'll remember fondly.

Absolutely amazing day yesterday. Came with my son and my two granddaughters. Purchased wristbands for all. Great price for family of four..unlimited rides which we all..especially girls took advantage of. As a grandmother of a child with svi I cannot recommend this park enough. From staff to patrons of this park everyone was amazing and so respectful to my granddaughter. Staff were aware my granddaughter required help by her dad or myself to get onto rides..and were extremely courteous. Gentleman on carousel was the best. Thank you sir! Unfortunately daddy and I felt a little unwell after a ride..you probably heard our screams asking for help during ride which my..obviously caring granddaughters..laughed incessantly.. Will definitely return. Thank you guys for an amazing day

Great day. Great value. Great staff. Have selected 5star for rooms service and location as whole day was a 5 star experience. The haunted walk was scary! Our 2yr old, but almost 3yr old.104cm, grandson loved it and got more confident so by the end of the day went on the high swings! We didn't eat there - it wasn't silly money but we had brought our own.

Staff were absolutely amazing enjoyed evey ride i went on with my friend. Favourite had to be the slide where a lovely girl called skye, made the ride even more enjoyable just by not only helping understand the ride but her cheerfull demeanor made the ride soo much more entertaining. Shout out to the meerkats who were adorable as ever.

A great park for toddlers, with both open play areas and an indoor play zone. Kids can enjoy various rides (though some may not be suitable for children under 3. Adults can enjoy walking or running around the park. There’s also a small train ride that’s fun for all ages.

Awful Oktoberfest for 2025. False advertisement with their posters and you left feeling like it was a scam: The event was advertised as a lively and festive Oktoberfest experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. When we attended, there was only one food truck, no decorations, and an almost empty room with a band performing, where the only thing festive about them was the generic costumes they wore. While the musicians did their best, the overall atmosphere did not resemble the vibrant Oktoberfest celebration that had been promoted. £20pp for nothing. When a refund was requested the customer feedback team were very unprofessional and you’d be luck to get a reply.

Another good session here. Our 13 year old boys have done the 1 day course reaching level 4 back in April, now they are doing level 5 and 6 in the 2 hour lesson. Super instructors and good facilities. A great way to prepare for a ski trip.

Staff here are so friendly, passionate and supportive! Did snowboarding for the first time the other day with Marian who was so so friendly, patient, amazing and kind. Also had skiing lessons previously with Charlotte who was extremely kind, helpful and patient. I also met Claire - the manager who went above and beyond for me and was also really helpful. Thank you to each of you, you really are special people. Hope we meet again :)

First day of my sons ski course. The parking was easy and aprox 100m from the Snozone desk, all flat and accessible if needed. The staff were efficient in organising his boots, putting him in his team and supporting him over the next hour or so. No complaints from either of us. I only gave 4 stars as the available cafe for me to spend my time waiting could have provided more options for breakfast, like a bacon butties. I did have a nice hot chocolate though.

Visited Snozone for a Snowboarding beginners day course. Had a fantastic time. Jago was super friendly and helpful in teaching technique and providing advice. Lunch was included in the price and we were offered a choice of pizzas, jacket potatoes and a few other options. Course lasted around 7.5hrs from 1015 to 1745. Group size was five, which worked well and Jago did a great job of supporting individuals with varying degrees of experience. Great fun, had a few hard falls, but perseverance is key! I will be back.

I’ve visited Snozone several times over the past six months. I started with a 1-1 session, followed by a Level 2/3, then a Level 3/4 session, and was due to have my Level 4/5 lesson next week. By the end of my Level 3/4 session, my instructor had ticked off all sections of Level 4 except the final box, mentioning that “with 10 more minutes, you’d have completed the level.” That would have allowed me to progress straight to Level 5/6. However, this week I received an email stating that Snozone no longer offers combined-level sessions and that my upcoming lesson would only cover Level 4. I called to explain my situation and asked whether I could move directly into Level 5, given my progress in the previous session. Unfortunately, I was offered very few options—almost none—and it felt as though the issue was being treated as my responsibility. I even suggested arriving early to complete Level 4 before moving on to Level 5 on the same day, as I was simply trying to continue the training I had already paid for. The staff member I spoke with wasn’t very helpful, and I eventually had to ask for a refund myself, which I would have expected them to suggest.. I later called back to ask about booking a full 7-hour Level 4/5/6 day instead. Thankfully, the second staff member I spoke to was much more professional and understanding. Although the available dates didn’t work for me, she processed my refund promptly. I’m really disappointed, as I had thoroughly enjoyed every session up to this point and was genuinely looking forward to continuing.

Amazing beginners snowboard course last Friday. Tony (and Dave) did an amazing job of making us feel comfortable and helping us to progress throughout the day. From never standing on a board to completing some relatively good turns in a few hours. The facility is great, easy to get to, cheap to park at, everything you need under one roof. The best bit was the instructors. Tony really put 100% into the job and was awesome. Had loads of fun and learnt so much. He was helped by Dave who was great too. It's a hard day, and physically demanding but so worth it

My first time trying snowboarding. Had a great instructor, Rachel, who was very patient with the group. I plan on coming again for more lessons

Mixed reviews for me.. Most of the staff are friendly but some look like they really don't want to be there.. The rides are "good" for kids. My son is 6 and I would say it's ideal for his age group. If I was to return in the future, I would take my own food as the quality of what was available was poor for the price. This theme park needs a overhaul and updated. Most of the rides, the food hall etc is looking all a bit old now. If they are making a good profit then, they need to spend money on updating the park, looks all a bit 90's and been left to rot. Food hall and seating area was a little smelly, no decent lighting, sticky floors and not enough staff cleaning in-between each family using tables. Above all this, I would return more prepared.

These is an amazing small theme park but really good no queue on all the rides. The staff are really friendly and loved their job. My only complained is the restaurant closed at 2:00 pm.There is a pizza place in the front that is really amazing. But over all very happy with the experience rides are not that extreme. The kids loved the zipwire experience and also the cable car. Would definitely come back soon.

Had a really nice time there. A lovely little park in the heart of MK. Rides are fun and designed for little ones in mind. We went around the river ride more than once! Log flume was great too. Main restaurant was fairly priced for a meal deal and clean. Lighting was atmospheric with fairy lights which was cute. Staff were friendly and we had Bluey there on our visit. The only downside we saw was it needed a bit of TLC to the bathrooms and play centre. The rest of the park was lovely but these both need a bit of money putting towards it to make it a better experience. Fair price for what you get. Would come back again!

Lovely small theme park great for kids i would say upto the age of 10. Loads of rides with no ride closures which makes a change going to a theme park ! Kids will have anything abundance of fun here... parking on 1st glance looked tricky but actually more than enough room and not miles to walk to entrance... food was the same old theme park food but very reasonable

Overall it's ok for it's size and price (if you get discounted tickets). Has one or two cracking rides for older kids and adults. Plenty of fun rides for smaller kids. Some areas are looking a little worn sadly and areas like toilets could use better upkeep. On the plus side you rarely queue longer than 10mins. If you see a deal for discounted entry it's well worth a family day out.

HEADLINE Such a shame, as it probably was an amazing park, but its been let down, loads of things not working (pretty much the whole of the JCB world didnt work 😞) the crains didnt work, some of the diggers didnt work properly, there was a ride closed. The food was very Exspensive, but thats like most theme parks I would say. They had some odd rules like no age limit. As long as the child was sitting in the seat, we had a 3 month old whitch would of been safer to put her in our arms but we had to sit her in a seat and put our arms around her, did look funny. The park was a nice size, and there was enough to do for all ages that we have 3m , 2YO, 14YO and 15YO We had a nice family day, just a shame a lot wasn't working properly, i feel this will be letting the park down in the long run and they need to invest. Still made a good day of it despite these problems with the park. Its just a word of warning. They need to invest if they want people to return. We wont be returning sadly.

Had a great day out with my grandson (5) and great niece (4). We visited on a Saturday and arrived about 10mins before entry time, we went through to see the staff and mascots doing a little routine and declaring the park open. We used advanced tickets and just produced the barcodes on my phone to the staff at the entrance. The weather wasn't that great, which seemed to keep the crowds away, meaning we were fortunate to not queue for anything other than the log flume (which was still only about 5mins). There was loads to do as well as the rides and we didn't leave till closing. Food was typically priced for a theme park. Burger, chips and drink style meal was about £10. Gift shop was cute and although again typically priced, they had a good selection of little pocket money priced items. There are plenty of amenities and toilets all over the park.

We visited Bletchley Park today and had an absolutely fantastic day exploring this incredible piece of history. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first class. We were greeted at the entrance barrier by Jake, who gave us a lovely warm welcome — full of good humour and friendly banter — the perfect start to the day. Inside, every member of staff and volunteer we met was just as friendly and engaging. Their enthusiasm for the site and its history really brought the stories of The Codebreakers to life. A particular highlight for me was the Radio Team, who were exceptional. They not only explained the radio technologies and the process behind them in fascinating detail but even offered me a chance to have a go myself! Their knowledge and passion were infectious and added so much to the visit. We took our time exploring the Mansion, the huts, and the surrounding grounds — everything was beautifully presented and full of atmosphere. The attention to historical authenticity and the care taken in preserving the story of Bletchley’s wartime legacy was evident everywhere. The Gift Shop was excellent too, well-stocked with books, souvenirs, and thoughtful keepsakes. I was thrilled to find a book I’d owned as a child (a long time ago now!) — something I never expected to see again. All in all, it was a day filled with learning, nostalgia, and wonderful interactions with passionate people. A truly memorable visit, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five stars without hesitation.

An amazing place and well worth a visit. The guides are all volunteers who give their time and expertise completely free of charge. In my opinion this makes them even more valuable to the whole experience and definitely worth listening to if you can get on one of their guided tours. Your entry ticket will allow you to return as many times as you like with a year of your first visit, completely free of charge, and you’ll need it as there so much to see and learn.

This is an amazing Living Musuem of history. The splendid work both highly intellectual people accomplished, together with every day men and women during WW2 is shown here. Without this secret team WW2 may not have ended when it did and with the British victorious. There is so much so see we needed 3 day visits. When you purchase your ticket you get a year to return and Thank Goodness for that.

Interesting visit to learn more about the WW2 Codebreakers and see the technology they used. Informative and entertaining video presentations. Friendly staff and good interactive displays. Quite expensive at £28 pp (we won't be going back in the next year even though the ticket says you can) and disappointed that the museum of computing was another £10 each next door. The website says the cafes have gluten free options but they didn't have any gf cakes or sandwiches, only a main meal.

An amazing time in our countrys' history, remarkable work carried out by extraordinary people. We learnt a great deal more about the events that occurred there than we previously knew. Definitely worth visiting, as your entry tickets are valid for 12 months multiple visits.

We had a fantastic day out at Bletchley Park. There was so much to see. I particularly enjoyed the areas recreated to look as it did during the Second World War. Whilst I knew of the work done there and its importance, visiting left me with an even deeper sense of admiration for the people who worked there.

What ca. you say? Incredible place where some incredible people worked long hours to help shorten WW2. So very informative, plenty to see. Can easily spend a day here, and the great thing is that your ticket is valid for 12 months so you can return any time within that period. If you’re a member of English Heritage then you can get money off your ticket too.

Honestly one of the best days out I've ever had with my daughter. Gorgeous, well maintained paths everywhere. Bird hides to watch over the lakes (while she napped). A big, airy cafe with delicious coffee. Lovely museum with staff who clearly adore what they do! We had so much fun talking to the people who were making a dugout canoe with bronze age tools, and exploring the garden, especially after seeing the spinning and weaving and learning about the plants that make the dyes. My daughter adored playing in the adventure play, of course. There's running water and sand, cute little play beach huts, a mural, slides, more than enough to entertain a toddler for hours! It was really lovely and plenty of seating and shade all around. We will definitely be back with my husband for another full day and hopefully add in some cycling 😊😊 Overall, really cannot say enough about how great the site was but even more so how wonderful every staff and volunteer was everywhere we went during our visit. The kindness, patience, and passion was just beyond what you could ask and we really appreciate it!

Absolutely lovely day out with all of my family which included 19 13 13 10 & 10 year old. There was so much to do and see around the whole of the lakes. My kids especially loved the assault course as did my partner (a little to much if you ask me) 😅. The only thing that I found was missing was bins on the walk ways I understand its for safety reasons but the amount of plastic bottles that were just dropped on the floor was awful. My kids did pick up the bottles they could whilst walking round but had to keep hold of them until the bin at the playground area. Other than that we had a fantastic time. Finished of with a lovely picnic near the playground for my youngest 2.

Love visiting here! Went to a netwalking event held in their conference room with walk around small lake. Facilities were clean and food was delicious (bacon sandwich). Great provision for tea, coffee and selection of cold drinks for the event. Staff were friendly and helpful. Outside facilities are the best part, beautiful nature and well kept paths. Usually you need to pay for car park but as we were at an event, parking was free.

I recently spent a few hours at Stanwick Lakes Country Park (Northamptonshire) and had a thoroughly relaxed and memorable time. The setting is beautiful — wide open spaces, shimmering lakes, and plenty of winding paths through nature. Whether you’re walking seriously or just pottering, the place has a lovely peaceful pace. There’s also an impressive adventure playground (and zip-line/assault-course type features) that means if you’re with kids you’ll very likely hear squeals of delight from the central hub of the park. On the nature side, it’s just as good. The bird-hides, wetland spaces and trails provide a chance to slow down, sit on a bench and watch things happen quietly around you. It’s not just manic play and activity—there are corners of genuine calm and reflection. Like all UK parks do go prepared if it’s been raining: as paths can be muddy and may be dry foot wear

What a great place! So much for the kids to do and see. The water feature is great, the climbing frame is well kept and very safe. The toilets are always kept clean and there is a great choice for food and drinks. Actually they have really nice coffee which is rare. Would be good with a few more benches as there is only a few compared to how many visitors they get but bring a picnic blanket and you'll be fine

A very lovely Nature Reserve. Trails are great for riding on, there's lots to see and do. Very pretty area to visit. And the play areas for kids are fantastic too!

Spent a couple of hours here with my daughter this morning. After building a Minecraft money box, ice scream and bacon roll in the cafe, spent just over an hour trolling the outdoor play area, taking a beating from the vertical twisty slide lol.. The venue has lots to offer , walks and activities, including the previous indoor play area now used for arts and crafts.. nice little venue for the children and adults alike. Friendly polite staff and informative of upcoming events , such as trails , arts and crafts etc..

We did the tour and tasting followed by an overnight stay. All of the staff we met were lovely. The grounds and buildings were very well kept. Victoria was a great tour/tasting guide and certainly knew her stuff. We sampled various wines, beers and liqueurs, along with some cheese and crackers to cleanse the pallet between tastings. The farmhouse breakfast was great too!

I recently proposed to my girlfriend at this stunning venue, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting or experience. From start to finish, everything was smooth, beautifully organized, and completely stress-free. Don, the venue owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with- professional, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about making special moments unforgettable. The coordination with our photographer and even the tour guide, Steve, was seamless. Everyone worked together behind the scenes to make the moment magical, and they absolutely delivered. Steve was fantastic, and his knowledge is amazing. The atmosphere was lovely, the setting was picture-perfect, and the entire team made sure everything went off without a hitch. Highly recommend this venue for any special occasion- it truly exceeded all expectations!

Just a note to say we had a fabulous time. Very, very informative, easy to understand and great fun. Having been in hospitality all my life I knew a little about the subject but I left knowing a whole lot more. A great couple of hours, the time flew by. I would recommend the tour to anyone!

We enjoyed the wine tour, better yet we got it half price. It's great to hear the history of the location as we didn't know much about the area before the arrived. Everything was enjoyable from start to finish. 10 stars for the Irish cream liqueur and Blood Orange Liqueur

What a beautiful venue and a very informative presentation and tour by your staff. Forgive me but I can't recall the South African guys name but he made it a very memorable visit with his knowledge and anecdotes. Unfortunately i couldn't fully take part in the tasting session at the end because of having to drive home but plenty of great wines and beers to buy at the end. Happy to support a small but very professional and enterprising business.I would recommend anyone with an interest in wine making and brewing to pay them a visit. A truly memorable visit. Thank you

We had a fantastic afternoon tour yesterday. The chap taking us round was very knowledgeable, the setting was absolutely stunning, and the samples included lovely. We will definitely be returning to spend some time at the bar, and trying the delicious looking food. Many thanks for such a great time.

Just spent the afternoon at this venue with a tour being provided by one of the sommeliers. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the estate, the business and wine and beer making. He then led us expertly through a tasting of three wines, three beers and a liqueur. We then sat in the beautiful courtyard and enjoyed a glass of wine. Recommend a trip to this venue.

Well looked after grounds, well tended gardens and beautifully managed Manor House. The facilities are more than adequate and volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable to explain and answer questions. However, we found the lights were very dim in most of the rooms downstairs and it was difficult to see or read the information provided in the pamphlets and walls.

No queues, not a lot of people and one of the most comprehensible and easy to navigate National Trust houses in England. Absolutely fascinating to learn more about English history; Disraeli, wartime mapping, and secrecy. Knowledgeable staff who like what they are doing. We visited on a glorious sunny weekday afternoon. A light lunch to start, nothing really special, served quickly and efficiently. The house is very well presented and the gardens are a delight to walk around and sit and admire while reclining in a deck chair.

Lovely building with a fascinating story. Loved all of the information on the production of the maps during WW2, especially interesting that they are still finding out about people who were there during that time. Cafe has plenty of seating with the usual menu of quality fare. The gardens are gorgeous and extensive.

Amazing House and gardens and with a lot of history, with roots dating back to before the Domesday Book. It became known as the country home of Benjamin Disraeli, Queen Victoria's favorite Prime Minister, who purchased it in 1848. If you're a National Trust member you should definitely visit.

A beautiful place to go. Gardens are well kept with lovely colours, the staff were friendly, and happy to help. House was amazing to look around. Water bowls in the courtyard for dogs and Toilets were clean.

This is a fantastic place to visit the Abbey has so much to see you will need to spend some time trying to take it all in. The gardens are well worth making sure you get all areas in. Picnic areas and tables dotted about for use some with shade. Toilets at various points around the site.

The gardens and deer park are lovely. I have not visited the Abbey itself yet but if you want a place to get in a walk and wonderful gardens it is great. The maze is interesting and there are several different picturesque spots throughout the garden area. The pottery and café are lovely also.

The gardens are beautiful and well worth a look. It has public toilets and a lovely little gift shop. You can picnic anywhere in the gardens. If you are disabled your carer goes free and your ticket is reduced to nearly half. They have wheelchair hire and mobility scooters for hire which help greatly. I hope this is helpful ☺

A great place to visit. The house is full of historical wonders and the staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens are glorious on a summer's day, and full of great photo opportunities. The tea house is a nice place to have lunch and reasonably priced.

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! amazing place for families, for couples for everyone I guess. Abbey is at centre of Deer park with couple of ponds which adds so much beautiful views all around. Unfortunately I cannot able to see the inside view of Abbey due to refurbishment take place and it will be back for public in 2021. You can have a very good walk in the park as well as the Woburn Old Town just meters away from this place. Also, when you drive into this park you fell like Richmond park in London. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic afternoon tea (delicious vegan and gf vegan options available) but you need to prebook your dietary requirement. On booking staff were exceptionally friendly and immediately understood vegan and GF vegan requirements. allow yourself extra time (c20mins) to get there on time as you need to check in at main gate and then drive the 2-3 miles to the house and garden entrance. tea rooms were lovely as was the impressive grounds and gardens. i happily would return with the kids for a picnic and maybe next time would take a look inside the Abbey (add on cost).

This is a beautiful place to visit, it hasn't changed much since i came here as a child. It has public toilets and a cafè and beautiful gardens to walk round. If you are disabled your carer gets in free and your ticket is reduced also. You can hire a wheelchair for free or a mobility scooter for £5 ! I loved it , such a calming place steeped in history ☺

Great place to visit with the kids. Lots of curious and recognisable creatures on display. Knowledgeable museum staff available to help, show off specimens and there was even a craft activity when we visited. With cabinets that open, animals to touch, drawing equipment available for sketching and trails to follow there's something for everyone of all ages.

An impromptu visit for a rainy day! We did not queue for long but was recommended by staff to book in future - the footfall was very busy so I understand why. An interesting museum with plenty to see. Clearly appealing for children but also very enjoyable for adults too. A small gift shop with a lovely offering. Will certainly return.

Set over three floors, this place is packed with animals and birds from all round the world. Very well presented and helpful staff. Allow several hours to have a good look. There is a good cafe and plenty of seating. A small kids play area is located in the grounds.

The Natural History Museum at Tring, once the private collection of the eccentric Walter Rothschild, is now home to one of the UK’s most extensive displays of taxidermied animals - over 4,900 specimens, including rare and extinct species. Walking through the galleries was a strange mix of awe and sadness. On one hand, it was fascinating to see creatures I’ll never encounter in the wild. But at the same time, seeing so many stuffed animals, especially knowing the context of mass collecting in that era, made me pause. It stirred questions about how we preserve nature, what we’ve lost, and what it means to display these lives frozen in time. The museum itself is full of curiosities - hybrids, animals with unusual colouration, and six themed galleries to explore. It’s popular with families, which means it can be a bit chaotic if you’re hoping for quiet reflection or photos. Still, entry is free, and despite the emotional complexity of the visit, I left feeling grateful for the chance to witness such a unique collection. It definitely gave me a lot to think about.

Amazing place, seeing the exhibits up close was awesome! You can really appreciate the sheer size of some of the animals, even the various tusks were incredible. The variety of species in the collection is stunning. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Museum was clean and tidy. All floors were Accessible by stairs and a lift. Parking was free as is entry to the museum, donations are appreciated. Whilst there take a walk to Tring Park, various walks are marked.

Amazing museum run by helpful staff with cafe and toilets. Car parking available nearby. Definitely recommend visiting, tickets available online and donations can be given online or in the museum. Nice to get very close to the exhibits and learn about the history. Wasn't too busy on the weekend.

Don't take kids, take an adult who isnt going to moan and not appreciate this place! I might just be annoyed that after the hour in this spectacular museum my kids wouldn't go for a walk in the wonderful Tring park nextdoor.. Great place - some of the aquatic exhibits look like plastic or Papier mache - but they are likely 100+ years old. The animals are uncanny and the dogs are really creepy. There are also bugs and butterflies and scarabs - it's brilliant - go! And the cafe has good cake - they also have a picnic area so being a sandwixh to save money if things are tight.

We had a fantastic day out at Hamerton Zoo and Park! The zoo itself is beautifully kept. It had spotless pathways, clean enclosures, and a real sense that the animals are well cared for. It’s a lovely place to explore and perfect for families looking for a relaxed, nature filled outing. One of the absolute highlights for us was the Dinosaur Express Train Ride, it was such a fun and unique experience! The train takes you on a gentle ride past life-sized dinosaur models, which were a huge hit with the kids and surprisingly impressive for the adults too. A definite must do if you’re visiting! All of the staff we encountered throughout the park were polite and welcoming, and the whole place had a calm, friendly atmosphere. On a less positive note, I purchased a souvenir mug for my husband at the end of the visit. Unfortunately, there were no boxes available, so I asked for it to be wrapped to prevent any damage on our way home. The gentleman who served us was very helpful and more than happy to assist. However, the female staff member who was also present was quite unpleasant. She rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and returned with the mug wrapped in a single sheet of kitchen towel, which felt a bit dismissive and unprofessional, especially considering it was a fragile item. Despite that small disappointment, our overall experience at Hamerton Zoo and Park was really enjoyable, and I’d still highly recommend a visit. It’s a wonderful day out for all ages, with great attractions, lovely animals, and mostly excellent staff.

Always loved Hamerton Zoo. Used to visit a lot with my children now have purchased season ticket to take grandson. Not too far for us so can go regularly. Love the bird house and nice to see the improvements over the years with lots undercover. Nice enclosures. Play park vastly improved. Large cat area still being updated. Cafe whilst improved facilities is seriously lacking. Food pretty awful but coffee and cake fine. Missing a trick I think as some good healthy food choices & a range of cakes would be far better. Didn't see any baby food options. Gift shop looks OK but at the end of the day am going to see the animals so its a fab day out!

Massive area, plenty to see. A range of animals that are clearly taken care of. This can be seen with nails, fur, food it is individual care for each animal. Staff are very busy which shows their priority. Unfortunately not many big cats, 2 Tigers and 1 Cheetah. There is a big child's play area which is sublime. The food was limited and VERY difficult for Gluten Free Diet. Which needs to be changed. The animals liek Gabons and Lemurs need more space. The floor area was pristine tidy!! Great job team. No one seen smoking. There was Vapes

BEST Zoo i’ve attended. It brought me back to childhood. I cannot express how thoroughly i enjoyed the vast amount of animals, the expansive nature of the zoo park is great for a full days worth of fun! We came during the October half term and did not feel overwhelmed with people because there is a great amount of space, easy parking, large spacious bathrooms that were cleaned throughout the day. I cannot say a bad word. The cafe serve tasty hot meals, quick to arrive and reasonably priced. The cafe was a squeeze however, we attended during the lunch time rush, there is outdoor seating if you can brave the cold. Hot drinks and cakes also available. I feel Hamerton zoo park is brilliant for all ages- my daughter fell in love with the amazing playground with a zip line, high climbing frame and interesting cube maze that was fun and challenging. We will certainly be back with more family in the Summer.

We had a good day. There was plenty to do but they need better signage to indicate where the train tickets are sold. The train was good for younger children. Lots of animals although we couldn't see that many. Maybe it was too hot and a lot were sheltering from the sun. Adventure playground very good for all ages.

Really good zoo! Had such a good variety of animals. We went on a day where it rained a little and a lot of the main walk ways have shelter which was ideal. Pushchair friendly. We loved seeing the animals and we loved the train ride that you can pay extra to go on. The play area for kids was incredible. Never seen anything like it. Perfect for little kids and older kids. Will deffo be back.

Brilliant place. Big enough for a day out, small enough to get around again if somethings not out. Some very unusual zoo based critters, we say around 6 or 7 we've never seen before. For example wombats, ardwolves, dingos, brown hyenas Really kid friendly, play areas are very good. Very wheel chair and mobility scooter friendly. It"s clearly a zoo that's growing, the animals look really happy and breeding. Can't wait to keep visiting and see whose next to arrive. Cafe is limited for gluten free, but you can get a jacket, chips and I think the burger or 1 of the hotdogs.

I had a wonderful day at Whipsnade zoo today. Highlights of the day were the brown bear, elephants, rhino’s, giraffes and the birds of the world show. Didn’t see the lynx which was a shame. Didn’t see a lion only a lioness and some cubs. 1 star lost because the tigers enclosure seemed really small and the tiger looked sad pacing around the enclosure. I also felt sad for the chimpanzee who seemed like it was having fun and was very entertaining but again enclosure felt small. Park could also do with more signage to help navigate the way around as although map on the app is good would still be good to have more signage as the grounds are huge and easy to take a wrong path. I also went on the steam train which was £5 for adults but I wouldn’t go on it again. Very big ground with loads of viewpoints and lots of walking however lots of places to sit along the way and plenty of small shops providing snacks and some provide food like hotdogs at £8.50 a pop. I much prefer this zoo to London zoo, I feel like you have better sight of the animals in comparison. One other perk about this zoo is that you can drive around the grounds with an additional fee. There is also free parking with easy access to the zoo. There is also an app with a live moving map which helps you navigate around the park very good.

We had a wonderful day out with the family. It’s a large venue, so comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Families with young children may find a buggy useful, as there’s plenty of ground to cover. Visitors can bring their own packed lunch or enjoy the selection of cafés and restaurants available throughout the site and near the entrance.

First time visiting, absolutely loved it, an amazing day. The enclosures were lovely and spacious, all areas lovely and clean, staff we spoke to were so helpful. We had afternoon tea at view point, which was lovely and the staff really friendly. The day was just brilliant, would highly recommend a visit.

Had a fantastic time visiting whipsnade zoo .. travelled all the way from North Wales.. Easy to find and access ♿ parking was just great for my wife. So much to see and do here for the whole family.. Loved seeing how much open area the animals had to enjoy compared with other zoos.. The zoo covers quite an area.. and it can be explored many ways..foot. train..or by car... Yes if mobility is an issue like my wife it can still be easily explored.. We seen a bus going around..sign simply said..Hail bus driver to stop..jump on a train which was around £5 .. Otherwise drive the car around and stop and explore where you want.. plenty of parking on the side of the road... please drive safely!!.. There is part of the zoo where you can only explore by car or taking the train.. Feels like your on safari.. amazing time When we visited they were giving the flamingo's a health check.. you were invited to ask anything you wanted.. Fantastic interactive experience Cafés , toilets and picnic areas are ample and dotted around the park.. Gift shop as like most places near the exit... Would love to visit again in the future as one visit is simply not enough to see and enjoy everything whipsnade has to offer...

Whipsnade Zoo is in a beautiful location of Dunstable Downs, there is a free car park off site and charge for car to enter, blue badges are free, you can drive around the whole park and there is parking spots at each area of the Zoo so you can view the animals at safe distance. It’s a favourite Zoo of mine due to care of the animals and the enclosures are well maintained. If you visit now you may find parts of the Zoo is being improved and some enclosures updated and cleaned, so some of the animals are relocated, the kangaroos are free roaming the zoo and can be approached but best respect nature. The only part of the experience that requires the most improvement is the toilets most are not regularly cleaned or look clean, the restaurants and food vendors do not offer quality food, the sandwiches were not that appetising and the hotdogs were served in baguette, I didn’t understand the combo nor did my palate. Not that they need a fast food chain there but better menu of food and quality would justify the insane prices like £2 for a bag of crisps. Overall I still recommend this as a great family day out but bring your own lunches and snacks.

THE BUS IS BRILLIANT! Whipsnade is an awesome zoo but the bus service elevates the experience even further! Lots of walking and make sure you dress warmly, but if you get tired legs then the bus is perfect. Can't fault it. Such a friendly driver (Gary) and they come round every 20 mins. Thank you so much

This zoo is possibly one of my favorite ones I have been to. The animals have so much space and the possibility to just hide away if that is what they want. We were there on a cloudy temperate day that made the animals more active so we got to see a lot of them. We saw the penguin talk and the bird show, both are very much recommended, but especially the bird show was super well done and very enriching. I have been about 5 times the last ten years and every time has been a great experience.

Just back from an epic day at the Herring Green farm. My family and I had booked my husband an eagle experience which I would highly recommend. The falconer Erin was fantastical she took time to show us so many of the eagle and some eagle owls. My husband held and flew the massive beautiful birds and really enjoyed his experience. We had young children with us and there was lots to play on and keep them amused. All staff were very welcoming and friendly We went on a Sunday and it was very quiet which was perfect for us to look around.

Absolutely fantastic day out. Got the deal through virgin experiences and had an amazing day. The lady Lisa was so informative and clearly had a huge love for all the birds. Going to book to go back

On the positive side -The woman that did the display was fantastic. She really knew her stuff, she answered everyone’s questions and was entertaining. - Lots of amazing beautiful birds when we walked around in cages and used in the display. - They released lot of birds at a time to music which was really good to see so many flying at the same time. On the negative side - The receptionist was rude to all 4 of us when we arrived. She was clearly annoyed she had given us 4 stickers before our 2 other friends had arrived, like we’d deceived her for some reason ! She also denied telling us to wait in the field as the display had started elsewhere. We all very negative about the place before we’d even started. - The display group was far too big. We were in a group of 28 people so when the birds were being passed around we waited for ages before we could hold the birds. Also taking part in the displays took ages to include everyone. So became very boring which was a shame because the display was good otherwise. Overall, good quality but needs to be smaller groups 1/2 the time, and better reception.

Absolutely love this place. We've been here a few times now and every time I come away with some new nugget of information I never knew about the wonderful birds they have there. All the staff clearly love what they do, and what they do is so important not just for the birds but for educating the people that visit.

I booked the 3 hour falconry experience for my dad, partner and child. They said it was absolutely brilliant and completely exceeded expectations. We were worried that 3 hours was too long and that the rain would ruin the morning, but they said it was jam packed, the group was lead by Laura who was great, there were sooo many amazing birds that each member of the group got an opportunity to hold, they watched a great display and learned a lot. The rain didn't put them off at all and everyone left very happy. On a different note, my partner said the coffee in the coffee shop was the worst he had ever tasted in his life! I did have a look and opted to go into Bedford instead to have a coffee and wait for them to finish. I guess the facilities could be better but that's not what they were there for.

The centre has a wide range of birds of prey and a good flying exhibition. Small people can also hold an owl, which is quite special. The rest of the facilities are looking rather tired - for example there were lots of nettles growing round the kids activity area. It’s not too expensive so, on balance, a good half day out for the family.

I had a 2 hour bird of prey experience and the guy in charge “Riley” was an absolute professional as well as having a sense of humour. Riley was very health and safety conscious and explained everything so we understood the birds and there behaviour whilst holding them. Riley was very knowledgeable and explained everything about each bird in a calm and controlled manner,I could easily relate and understand him completely. Each bird I held was an amazing experience from Owls all the way upto a Bald Eagle with Riley by my side watching and reassuring me every step of the way. As a member of the RSPB I could identify most of the birds but Riley’s knowledge was supreme. Riley is a massive asset to the Farm and his customer service was the best I’ve ever seen a true professional at all times. Thankyou so much for the experience of a life time 10/10 I highly recommend this bird of prey experience to anyone.i hope you remember me the big tall guy who needed a bigger glove,Thankyou again.

We visited Legoland on a Sunday afternoon and stayed in one of the woodland lodges before a full day in the park. The process of booking the stay was fairly convoluted on the website, but from that point, there were clear instructions and links for all our passes, which were very handy to have on the official app! Sunday in the park was manic and not at all quiet, with 40 min queues for all the main rides (including the underwhelming Dragon rollercoaster). Flight of the sky lion is a great ride, but please sort the queue system out for people with the fast access pass (some of which have paid extra). We waited longer in this queue than people were in the standard entry! I don't think the clearly hungover lad running it could cope with figuring out what to do. The site is quite sprawling and despite there being a train that runs from the entrance into the middle of the park, it isn't always in operation, so prepare for the walk back up the winding hill! Food offerings are standard over-priced fried theme park fare unfortunately, with little imagination in the variety on offer. Breakfast at the woodland lodge clubhouse was fairly decent on the other hand. Our lodge was clean and spacious, with the skylight projector in the kids room being a nice touch. The treasure hunt also went down a treat. You might want to take earplugs though, as the Heathrow flight path is directly above, so sleep was fairly limited to the hours of 11pm -5am. It could be so much better in places, but overall it was still an enjoyable outing that was worth checking out.

Great theme park, I enjoyed the rides, we didn’t wait to wait too long to get onto the rides and there was 2 that we did a couple of times. Kids loved it. The Lego mini land was great, loads to see and a lot of detail gone into it. Food was expensive but always is at these places. We’d happily return!

Bad: Rides waiting time: I'm starting with bad because I want people to first know what they are getting into so they can make a better decision. The rides have massive queues, the resort is not very organised in terms of crowd management. The queues are massive, like there's at least 60 minute of waiting for almost all the rides, unless you have ultimate ride pass forget about managing to do even 3-4 rides in a day. And their opening times are only 10-5, which is definitely not enough for the money you pay. I had ultimate pass and still I couldn't do all the rides and it felt such a stretch - is it worth the money though : absolutely. As we didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for any rides. But it's ot for people who can't afford to pay for those passes. Food: If you are vegetarian, forget about eating here, not many options to eat, a Pizza place, that's beyond expensive £23-£24pp - with very limited vegetarian options, a burger place that does serve vegetarian burger, and the waffles place can't handle crowds and they close the shop when they can't handle the load. Face paint: rude staff and poor face painting skills Good: ultimate pass is rhe best way to enjoy the park, we loved all the rides we took. Miniland is awesome and so is their train. Staff is helpful (if you find them).

Visited Legoland with my two kids (1 and 4 years old) and we had a really good day out. Went during school time so there were hardly any queues, which was great! The park was clean and tidy with plenty to see and do to fill the day. Not much for the 1-year-old, but our 4-year-old loved it and went on lots of rides. Overall a fun family day out and would definitely go again when they’re a bit older.

The kids absolutely loved it. It was definitely a fun outing that everyone in our group really enjoyed. The ride times generally seemed to work out pretty well, and you can definitely make a great day out of it if the weather stays nice. The pizza and pasta buffet was efficient and there was plenty of food to go around.

Had a really good time with my 2 daughters. They both enjoyed the experience. Seeing how much stuff was built out of bricks was awesome. Some really good rides. Had to queue a bit but expected on a busy day. Would definitely recommend and 100% come back again

A very nice amusement park. It needs some social spaces/facilities like cafes or restaurants. Theme park is nice. Mini land is very cheerful area. Priority parking is extremely convenient but general parking is a bit far, consider this if you have any mobility difficulties.

I came to Salisbury for the cathedral but fell in love with this chapel. I sat down for the last of the service one evening and they were kind to allow me to take a look before closing. I returned the next two days to just sit and enjoy. Highly recommend!!

Visiting Windsor Castle and St. George's Chapel on the grounds was beautiful. It was a lovely day and many visitors. The visitors were happy and friendly.

Highly recommended! St George's Chapel is a Gothic chapel located in the lower bailey of Windsor Castle in Berkshire, England. Windsor, the most important castle in England, is the primary residence of the monarch. The castle chapel is under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch and is the seat of the Congregation of the Order of the Garter. The castle chapel was founded in the 14th century by King Edward III and significantly expanded in the late 15th century. It is the site of many royal church services, weddings and funerals. If you bought a ticket to visit Windsor Castle, the chapel is included in the ticket price. You can also buy a separate ticket for much cheaper if you do not plan to visit the castle. A castle + chapel ticket costs 35 pounds, a ticket only for the chapel is about 7 pounds. Information accurate as of June 2025. P.S. I try to share specific information. A nice chapel, very informative details shared on the headphone guide set. I also saw the memorial where Queen Elizabeth II and Duke of Edinburgh was buried and also the main church where there were previous royal weddings and funerals. Sadly can't take pictures of inside the chapel.

The chapel in Kings college is amazing, but not quite worth 20+ pounds.

An absolutely stunning church, with such a long and varied history behind it and of course now the resting place of Queen Elizabeth II as well as her mother, father, sister and her beloved Prince Philip. You aren't allowed to take photographs or videos but this is of course for a very good reason and everyone around me also followed the rules and refrained from taking photographs. Its a very special place to reflect and will be forevermore.

Within the grounds of Windsor Castle and a bit of a misnomer.... chapel, it's more like a cathedral. Epic historical building. No photography allowed inside. Built in the late medieval perpendicular Gothic style. Founded in the 14th century. Definitely worth going to see if you like architecture as the interior is magnificent and awesome.

First time visiting and was blown away at the history and beauty of the Castle, the church and grounds. The town is charming as well. This is a must see, easy trip via overland train from London. Get the audio tour headsets as it’s included and will make the experience worthwhile.

Its an english castle. Well kept. I Its slightly less for value of money. Would advice to buy tickets in advance as that will save money. If you are visiting multiple castles throughout UK, kindly buy a pass for them as that will be cheaper rather than buying tickets at every castle. No pictures allowed inside.

Its a very nice castle to visit with a lot of interesting weapons and armour. The security section is a bit unorganised and chaotic but otherswise a great place to visit. The audio guide is great. Staff is nice.

What a beautiful castle. The tour is well planned and if you love the monarchy and the queen/king things you will be blown away by this gorgeous place. Just don’t forget to book tickets in advance, take the audio guide with you and enjoy a little touch to royal family’s life.

We took the day trip to Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Steve, was wonderful, he is incredibly knowledgeable and funny. I also want to give a big shout out to our coach driver Carlos who made sure we got to each location in a timely manner. ​Steve shared so many interesting facts, especially at Bath and Windsor Castle my favorite stop. It's a lot to see in one day, but Steve managed the schedule perfectly. Lunch at La cock was a nice touch and very delicious. ​Seeing all these iconic sites in one go was unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour!

The castle is quite large, especially the Royal Apartments, which include many rooms. You should allow around four hours to explore everything calmly and take it all in, and that’s even without taking photos, since photography and video recording inside the apartments are unfortunately not allowed. The castle grounds are beautiful, with lovely trees and a small park. You can also see the royal guards outside, who seem to change several times a day, marching across the castle grounds. We visited on a rainy day, and although the weather wasn’t ideal, there were still quite a few visitors. I highly recommend taking the audio guide, it’s available in several languages and gives an excellent explanation of each building, room, and painting. In the guidebook, the tour starts with the Royal Apartments and then continues to St. George’s Chapel, but in reality, the chapel seems more logical to visit first, as most people turn left rather than going straight uphill to the apartments. Perhaps this is because there aren’t many clear signs outside indicating the order of the route, unlike inside the Royal Apartments, where the directions are very well organized. Because of this, the route can feel a bit confusing, or maybe it was just because we were rushing to find shelter from the heavy rain, as we didn’t have umbrellas. There are several souvenir shops on the castle grounds and a café where you can buy official chocolate, keychains, magnets, books, toys, coins, jewelry, and beautifully designed pens and pencils. From the windows of the Royal Apartments, there’s a truly stunning panoramic view of the inner garden, which, unfortunately, is closed to visitors. The bushes are perfectly trimmed, genuinely royal. We arrived at the castle around 11:00 a.m. and stayed until about 2:45 p.m. Online tickets cost £31, but since it was a Monday in November, there were no queues, so we bought ours on-site for £35 per adult. Before entering, there’s a security check at the gate. Overall, the castle is absolutely worth visiting, a perfect trip for one or one and a half days. The town itself has a great variety of restaurants, cafés, and souvenir shops. The train station is right in the centre, about a five-minute walk away. Everything is within walking distance, our hotel was just 10 minutes from the castle, which was perfect, as after dinner in town we could enjoy a short walk back. Since the castle stands right in the heart of the town, there are hotels just across the street, but even those located a bit further away are still very convenient and charming. Parking could be improved, as in most tourist towns in England. We checked several public car parks, with daily rates between £22 and £28. Our hotel had its own secure parking area behind the building, gated and monitored, for £20 per day. It might be worth checking some higher-end hotels, as a few of them may offer free parking, though such options are quite limited.

Fascinating visit, it's everything you expect it to be! £35 for an adult ticket which includes an audio tour. Well organised and the staff are efficient and friendly. Amazing to finally see how the royal family live in the castle and the history is incredible .

Amazing place! Its been many years since I was last there and its nice that more things have been added in that time. Went during the dark arts time and was fun to see the death eather preforming at different locations around the studio. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Harry Potter! The lay out is brilliant and just getting to see how it was all made is amazing.

Where do I start! Absolutely amazing experience. A must visit for all the potter heads out there. Being a core fan of the book, the movie sets was truly a visual treat. I visited during the Dark Arts theme right after Halloween. The entire tour looked like a carefully planned adventure. The atmosphere felt do lively - kudos to the employees and the guides. A kind employee even took my picture (I was on a solo trip!). I saw the butter beer had mixed reviews. But I personally devoured it. It was refreshing after a long walk. Food was alright, not a fan of the unsalted fries. Some spaces did feel a bit rushed, specially people pushing and hovering around impatiently. Could see the kids engaging a lot with the sets. The photo booths are cute, however felt like a rip-off to have a poster print for £20! Considering the high turnaround rate, they could reduce the price. The broom videos looked a bit tacky but would be a fun try out for kids. Loved the small performance by the Death Eaters who kindly let us take pictures together! Cried myself through the pricey souvenirs, but the butter beer packs were a steal! For folks who can’t find the tickets during the holidays, keep checking every single day twice. I got mine on a random day check, and snagged it right away! They were kind enough to swap me to a different slot (which I found again), without additional charges! Overall worth every penny!

We had arranged a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio for our daughter’s birthday, as she’s crazy about Harry Potter. We were greeted by Menaka at the ticket collection counter. She was incredible!! 😃 Super friendly and charismatic in every way, and a true potterhead too! Our daughter was fully engaged in conversation with Menaka who shared all the wonderful things to look out for whilst on the tour. We gained tips on how to manage our time during the tour, which took 5 hours in total, including a break at the Butterbeer Bar. Menaka also gave our girl a birthday badge and several other goodies, which truly delighted her. We were amazed by the genuine kindness shown to make our daughter feel special 💓 We had arrived over an hour earlier than our scheduled tour time, so Menaka encouraged us to enjoy lunch in the Food Hall. We loved it! All dishes were very tasty and generous in portion, so we were fully prepared for the grand tour 🤩 As a birthday girl, our daughter was given the special privilege to open the door to Hogwarts! 🎉 From then on, the tour was outstanding. Spectacular sets, fun green screen experience and entertaining death eater performances. Beware of the Dementors and Acromantulas in the forbidden forest! 😨 Overall, a superb day out made extra special by all staff members, though Menaka was our favourite!! 🌟

Went on the small group tour. We were meant to skip queues but we didn't skip the queue we just skipped the bit we were going to see. But it was still worth it to get all the amazing little facts that the guide gave us. We went when it was hogwarts in winter. The food here is super expensive! You can take tour own food but i felt like it was part of the experience so just went with it. Remember to get your free passport so you can get your stamps as you go round 👍 The tour was 4hrs with a 1hr break. We went back in so in total spent 6hrs there and definitely could have spent longer. Take your time and make sure you make the most out of the full day.

We visited on a weekend, expecting it to be busy, but boy were we surprised at exactly how busy it was going to be. After a fair bit of queuing and somewhat rude security personnel at the bag check, we finally got through! The whole complex is huge and be prepared for a lot of time walking, standing and walking some more (reminded me of Disneyland) to get anywhere. However, it is really worth it once you can get over this and that is speaking as someone who isn't a huge HP fan. The work on display is amazing and the attention to detail so very impressive. The displays are well thought out, but do make sure you can stomach the high price of food and gifts!

I live in London, and visiting this city and this cathedral was one of the most beautiful experiences I had over the weekend. It was truly enjoyable. St Albans Cathedral is absolutely stunning — it feels like every wall and door has a story to tell, as if they’ve witnessed countless events over the centuries. The atmosphere is peaceful yet powerful, and walking through the cathedral felt like stepping into history. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves architecture, history, or simply beautiful places.

A magnificent architectural with loads of history and story. We visited in a weekday thus not crowded at all. You will be embraced by a deep sense of peace and afford to slow down to appreciate the view around you. Worth a visit together with the town.

The sheer scale of St Albans Cathedral, a structure of profound history and weight, provided the perfect canvas for the Poppy Fields light installation by Luxmuralis last night. It was more than an event; it was a deeply moving, sensory experience designed for quiet contemplation and remembrance. The massive, soaring architecture of the Nave, usually bathed in the soft glow of natural light or high electric lamps, was utterly transformed by darkness and vibrant digital projection.

This an absolutely stunning building dating originally from the Norman period but with additions over the centuries. The place was a pilgrimage site long before the Norman's arrived and the tomb of St Alban is still a pilgrimage site today. The cathedral possesses the longest nave of any cathedral in Britain and there are a number of medieval frescoes still visible; fascinating even if somewhat faded.

Being there you imagine that the place is nearly 1000!!!!! Years old. Some buildings were built from the Romans bricks. It is the oldest and one of the most significant church in England. This church saw everything. Besides that, town is beautiful, going there you should have enough time. It is hard to find the parking lot.

Absolutely enjoyed my visit. A stunning place that showcases its long history through a mix of architectural styles. I just loved every single detail, from the floor and columns to the ceiling.

We've been to Wimpole Hall and Farm many times over recent years but we have not been inside the house for some time. What a treasure it is! Forgot what a beautiful stately home it was inside and out plus also the connection to Rudyard Kipling is notable and not something I recall before. Entry ticket now includes the Home Farm (previously was an additional charge) which we didn't get time to visit but it's well worth it. They have also in recent years improved the car park and make it more accessible for less abled visitors.The grounds are large too so you can easily spend the full day there if needed.

Beautiful grounds, walked for hours. Fantastic walled garden. Cute tiny baby piglets! Cafes for coffees and snacks. Stunning collection of trees, herbs, flowers. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely day out. Almost spoilt by the staff wanting to kick us out of the manor because it was almost time to lock up. That's for a different day if I visit again and it's the same. The manor is beautiful, with exquisite rooms and a gorgeous library. The grounds are remarkable. The amount of money it would have needed for upkeep alone is mind blowing. The cafe was a little under stocked, but the restaurant just a stones throw away made up for that. Nothing beats ab ice cold drink or ice cream on a British summer day 🙂 I took my family (8yo and wife) along with our friends (13yo, 9yo, and the parents). We enjoyed our 5 hour visit, walking everywhere from the woods, to the farm, and then to the manor. The farm is a working farm with historic buildings which are very imposing. I loved them. It was worth having our National Trust membership. Ample parking, and parking for parents + disability needs. A clean well looked after site which I wouldn't mind visiting again.

The building is quite grand and the interior decoration is beautiful. It takes about half an hour to tour the entire building. If this National Trust attraction only had this building, it would feel rather monotonous. However, since it originally provided a garden and form, you can spend a whole day here, so it is also a place worth visiting as a combination. You will often see families playing in the attraction. In addition, the vast garden also provides children's play facilities. In my opinion, compared with the National Trust attractions I have visited, the facilities here are very rich and sufficient.

I loved every bit of it. We covered everything in 2:30 hours but that was a bit of rush. I could have spend the whole day here. It's the best one I visited by far. I am definitely visiting again with plenty of time in my hand. Play area, Farm animals, house and walled garden - oh my god they all are worth seeing. I was also lucky to have the best weather too on the day however I would visit again regardless of weather anytime soon.

An amazing place to visit. The house is just so well preserved and presented. The grounds and gardens are a true pleasure to walk around. I especially enjoyed pig feeding time.

We really enjoyed are trip to the Wimpole estate, we walked around the extensive grounds and visited the old folly on the hill, really worth a basing and lunch was good at the coffee shop as per other national trust locations.

What a wonderful place this is your visit, especially if you're a history lover or architecture enthusiast! I absolutely adored the rambling Gardens with a choice of different length walks, the cafe was very relaxed with a range of food and drinks but the highlight for me was the incredible tour of the old Elizabethan building by very knowledgeable and friendly Dermot! What a pleasure it was to enjoy such an in depth and interesting talk by such an experienced gentleman. We would definitely visit again!!

Visited the gardens only. Some of the most beautifully curated public gardens in SE England. Very lucky to be able to visit the East Garden which is only open to the public on certain Wednesdays. Some nice woodland walks as well although I would have to say that these aren't fantastically signposted.

It was very lovely place to visit. Free parking and only short walk to the house and gardens. Very brilliant, smiley and pleasant people work there, it was not a problem for them to help us use the lift a few times,so thank you.! It makes the visit so much easier and nicer. It's not easy to get around everywhere if you have a buggy or especially the walker.. Very recommend this place to visit!

What a gorgeous hidden gem just north of London crammed full of history. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides in each room. Check out their website as they put on ‘festival’ type events. The grounds are well kept. Only downside for me was you have to pay extra to go into the palace (£8 I believe). The ‘marmite’ fountain at the back of the house is interesting. I loved it. I will definitely be back.

I don't even know where to start to describe this fantastic place! We spent about five hours there and loved every single minute of it. There is just so much to see! We first visited the Gardens, which are stunning. Then we spontaneously opted for a guided tour of the Old Palace, which absolutely blew us away. I must admit that when we had decided to visit Hatfield House, we weren't even aware of the Old Palace and its significant history, so it felt like an extra bonus. Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely engaging - a pure joy to listen to and get lost in the stories from days gone by. And then the house itself, which is absolutely marvellous in every respect. The staff in each of the rooms were genuinely eager to tell their story and engage with the visitors, so we were able to have long chats, which we thoroughly enjoyed! A long walk to the Oak Tree and back completed our visit, which exceeded our expectations by far. It didn't go unnoticed that unlike most historic houses in Britain, the gift shop was mostly stocked with local produce, rather than the usual souvenirs. But although we couldn't find anything to buy, we didn't even mind that. I got the feeling that despite all its fascinating history and splendour, Hatfield House doesn't seem nearly as commercialised as many similar places (we were surprised about the small number of visitors in the middle of summer), and that would actually seem a good thing. As a result, our visit had a very intimate touch, and we felt individually valued, rather than being a part of big masses of tourists passing through. Our visit turned out to be the highlight of our 10-day holiday in the UK!

Huge gardens & park with multiple routes for avid walkers / dog walking & a fantastic set up for a lovely morning / family day out. Easy parking, we visited their shops and cafe in their entry area, headed to the loo, got ice cream and made our way around their grounds in a beautiful sunny day! Might feel expensive for a walk but a worthy day out for family / friends and a great adventure location with food, facilities, and beautiful nature! Head here for a great day out when the sun is up!

You can feel the history at Hatfield house. You have the spectacular house, built by Robert Cecil, along with the old palace, where Elizabeth 1st and Edward would have been bought up. You can almost imagine them playing in the wonderful West Gardens as you walk around. The staff are full of information and love to share their wealth of knowledge, just ask. After the house, we went for a walk through the woods, down to the picturesque river. My mother is in a wheelchair, but we had no problems getting around. Everywhere is accessible. Just be prepared for some inclines in the woodland walks.

You can book a time slot ticket for free online before hand. This ensures you dont have to queue if it gets too busy. Truly a must visit Museum in London. There are so many different exhibitions that you can easily spend 3 hours here. Of course the main attraction is the Blue whale skeleton, called hope. It weighs 4.5tonnes and measures 25.2m long. This is a real blue whale skeleton and not a model! Can you imagine! There is a dinosaur exhibition and for your info, most of the bones on display are actual dinosaur bones! If you see its dated, then its real dinosaur bones. Other than that there are other paid exhibitions available throughout the museum.

The museum is well-maintained and full of interesting collections. Natural History Museum in London and was truly impressed. The building itself is stunning with its grand architecture and detailed interior. The dinosaur and gemstone exhibits were fascinating and well-organized. I especially enjoyed the interactive sections that make learning fun for both kids and adults. Spending few hours here may not enough. I recommend booking paid tickets for elderly visitors.

Always love going to museums where ever I go to take in the local perspective. It is free entry with donation recommended, which is easy once you see what this place has to offer. This would have been one of the larger sites I have visited in my travels. It has a large variety of collections spanning several floors. I really enjoyed most of the galleries I saw, with their interactive displays that complement the static representations. We literally spent all afternoon their until close and still didn't get a chance to see the whole building. Missing out on the Darwin, and some of the green sector. From what we did see the rest of the place would be just as amazing. Since it's free entry it can definitely be a 2 day walk about. The place is large and requires a bit of sauntering. There are lots of benches and presentations that you can sit while you watch. Which is nice for those who have mobility challenges. Overall, a great visit but if you really like to hit every inch, it's a whole day visit so keep that in mind.

Well kept clean and spacious. Wheel chair acess though out and entering with no steps . Its extremely hot inside even in November. Could do with air conditioning. Lots of history with lots of animals. Great for kids all ages and adults. Toilets and disabled toilets on site with a cafe which is rather expensive so I would recommend brining yours own lunch in if you are a family. 2 coffees and a cookie was approximately £15 . Over all a great experience and very educational. If you home educate your children its worth a day trip in to London to visit the museum. Today, I took a group of elderly visitors with dementia to the London History Museum. Our group varied in mobility — some were able to walk independently, one used a walker, and two were in wheelchairs. We had a brilliant time exploring the different rooms, and the earthquake experience was truly amazing and impactful for everyone. The museum was quite busy with several school groups, which did raise some concerns. One of my members was bumped into twice by a school group, causing them to become unsteady on their feet. While the school group was apologetic, the situation was a little disappointing. The only drawbacks were that the toilets are quite spread out across the museum, and the lifts were sometimes difficult to use due to limited capacity and unclear floor labels. Despite this, we managed to navigate successfully. It was nice to see seating areas scattered around the rooms, providing opportunities for rest. Booking disability parking was straightforward and very helpful, with friendly staff assisting us both on arrival and when we left. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’d love to return with my family next time for a more flexible visit

For a free entry this museum was absolutely incredible. A very wide variety of exhibits from a multitude of scientific fields. Definitely take your time and explore the entire building. Enjoyed looking at all the different animal exhibits. The dinosaur section of the museum was very fascinating to go through 🦖. I also enjoyed the geological sections. It really does seem that the museum is promoting education at no price! 👨‍🔬 A must visit if you're in the area.

I recently visited the V&A with a friend to see the Cartier Exhibition. It was great, even though it was a bit crowded, which meant no hanging about. However, there were opportunities to return to an exhibit if you wished. I visited on a lovely autumn afternoon and the colourful trees outside added to my enjoyment. There's also a beautiful cafe for a wide selection of food and drinks. It's one of my favourite museums to visit as they put on great exhibitions on a wide variety of subjects. I recommend it highly as a wonderful place to visit anytime.

Seeing them filled me with immense pride for my heritage. The staff at the museum were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Each section was well-explained and thoughtfully organised. For anyone interested in Punjab, Sikh history, or Indian heritage, the V&A Museum is truly a treasure. I highly recommend this museum to every traveller visiting London. Such an Amazing Museum. Amazing exhibitions and gallery and displays to view your mind. Make sure to have 4 hours spare to take in all the displays. World class. Take well organised. Great food in the cafe at a reasonable price. Make sure to dine in the Victorian cafe.

A Truly Remarkable Day! I simply can't recommend the membership strongly enough! My visit to the Marie Antoinette exhibition today was truly remarkable. Not only was the collection breathtaking, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the day. My daughter and I wore period-style Marie Antoinette costumes, and it was lovely to feel welcomed and celebrated. Every single person we encountered was charming and pleasant. What a fantastic museum experience!

Wheelchair accessible Look out for the giant statue of David in the Cast Courts, as well as the rather large pillar of Trajan. Also, the collection of sculptures donated by Auguste Rodin. If you like Jewellery, head up to 2F.

Had a good time with family, spent around 2hrs at the venue.kudos to the entire team for excellent crowd control. Around 80% of the wax statue look stunning and fantastic, rest felt like a dummy one. The special attraction was "Spirit of London" ride, which is a themed taxi ride through the city's history, and not a conventional train ride. The ride uses iconic black cabs to take visitors on a 5-minute journey through London's history and cultural events which also includes wax figures, immersive exhibits, and a 4D cinema.

Had a great time! There’s quite a collection to explore, with some truly fascinating stories, science section and even a few spooky horror rooms. The organisation and presentation were excellent, and the cable ride through centuries of history was absolutely epic! I didn’t see many staff around, but I didn’t really need any help. I had an amazing experience at the Madame Tuassads London. I have already been to other places but this one was different. In addition to various wax statues there was a ride which was very beautiful. Also there was 3D show which was star of the whole lot. Would highly recommend even if you have visited other wax museums. Its clean and wait time is not much.

Madame Tussauds was such a fun experience! The wax figures look unbelievably real ,it’s like walking through a celebrity world. The Marvel and Royal Family sections were my favourites. It does get busy, but totally worth it for the photos and the atmosphere.

I was a bit hesitant about going here, if it's really worth the money... And it is! We enjoyed this interactive experience very much! It's fun and I very much appreciated it is not just the wax figures (which are impressive by themselves), but I was excited about the Marvel 3D experience, the little "taxi" drive through the history of London or the scary horror cellar :) What was dissapointing was the price of the photos they take for you (25 pounds?!). But otherwise perfect way to spend a memorable afternoon (at least 3 hours recommended!), totally recommended. PS: pleasant surprise at the end of our visit was the London Eye tickets for 10£ offer.

What a place to visit. The world meets in London and I hope it continues that way. Everything is well organized, spaced and placed. It’s my second time in there and am keen to go back more times. This is not a one day visit you need few times to cover the whole Musuem. Recommend to come with comfortable shoes

Went on a Thursday in half term time, it was incredibly busy, loads of children! It was still a nice experience for my kids, they loved it. You need a couple of days to visit the whole museum, especially if you are looking to study anything in particular. Limited choices on thw food in the food court area and expect London prices but there is also a high end restaurant at the top. Own food and drinks are permitted only in the designated area. We will definitely come again to see and study other areas.

The British Museum is truly timeless. It was my fourth visit, yet it still felt magical. My kids loved the Egyptian mummies — their excitement was contagious! As a Chinese visitor, I felt proud yet emotional seeing so many treasures from my homeland. The collections are stunning, though the crowds can be intense. Entry is free, but booking online helps you get in faster. This museum isn’t just about history — it’s about humanity, memory, and reflection. A must-visit for anyone coming to London.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Coming from Manchester we need this in the city.... Yes its a bit dim, dark and dirty.... But what a brilliant, cheap and quick way to get around....

Visiting The National Gallery was truly a magical experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the atmosphere and every room tells a different story through its paintings. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the colors, details, and emotions in each artwork are breathtaking. It’s not just a museum but it’s a journey through art and history that leaves you inspired and full of wonder.

It was a wonderful experience. The museum has a good collection of Monet and Van Gogh paintings, which I really enjoyed. For just an afternoon, it’s possible to see everything without getting too tired, though you could easily spend a whole day if you want to study the works in detail. We visited on November 17, and there was also a Christmas market outside the museum, which added a very festive atmosphere.

A very spacious series of galleries housing some of the best known images in the international art world. With a restaurant and toilets and plenty of friendly guides you can easily spend a day here, or just pop in and revisit your favourites. It may look daunting from the outside but the new entrance makes the whole place accessible for anyone. Children of any age will find something to look at and many school trips visit and no they don't disturb the 'grown ups'! A teashop, restaurant, bookshop and well stocked shop make this a day, or two to remember.

I can say that I love this museum. Seeing such a collection of paintings for free is just amazing nowadays. There are beautiful paintings in every room. I could spend a day to visit it. Just do not forged taking a map at the entrance as this is a pretty large museum. French, Spanish, Italian, English, Deutsche… painters from middle age to impressionists. A pretty large collection of Impressionists paintings that can rival with that of Musée d’Orsay in France. Only the Louvre in France is more impressive (but far from being free) among all painting museums that I visited all other the world (with a special notice for Grenoble and Poitier’s painting museum that are great place to visit too).

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

I visited the National Gallery today and absolutely loved it. It’s an absolute must visit place when in London, and you can spend hours wandering from room to room, never running out of things to look at. One of the highlights for me was seeing some of Monet’s pieces in person, a moment I’ve been looking forward to for so long. Standing in front of his work felt surreal, and it was worth the entire trip on its own. I highly recommend paying the galley a visit, especially because it’s free entry!

If you’re in London, you must visit this place. I stopped by during an 8 hour layover, and even though I couldn’t take my time the way I wanted to, it was absolutely worth it. The collection is stunning, wall after wall of masterpieces you could spend hours admiring. I barely scratched the surface and already felt amazed. I’ll definitely be coming back on a proper trip so I can truly enjoy and appreciate everything this museum has to offer.

Absolutely love London. And Big Ben is a must see / visit. It has been beautifully restored and looks grand as it should. Right next to the houses of Parliament and across from Westminster Abbey just down the road from Buckingham Palace. And then there is number 10. Definitely make time to go to this iconic land Mark.

I’m not the biggest fan of London, but Big Ben was absolutely beautiful. The architecture is stunning, and the city around it feels so classic and elegant. It was really cool getting off the Westminster stop on the Tube and walking straight up to see Big Ben towering above it’s such an iconic sight. Even if London isn’t your favorite city, this landmark will definitely impress you.

The only downside was how crowded it gets, especially during peak hours, which makes it a bit hard to enjoy peacefully. Still, definitely worth the visit and a great spot for photos.

Even though you can’t go inside the tower, just standing nearby and admiring its grandeur is worth the visit. A classic London experience!

We didn't get to do the tour but coming off the tube and Big Ben being right there outside the station was pretty awesome. Its even bigger in person than I thought it would be. Really good angles from the station and out on the bridge.

Visited Big Ben while in London. Did you know its official name is the Elizabeth Tower, renamed in 2012 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee — but everyone still calls it Big Ben. The site was impressive, with plenty of onlookers taking in the views. We spent about 30 minutes exploring and enjoying the surroundings. Fun fact: the minute hand is roughly the same length as a single-decker bus! Overall, it’s worth a quick stop and was one of the highlights of our trip. Saluti

Big Ben is an incredible and historic landmark, truly one of the most famous symbols of London. The architecture is beautiful, and seeing it up close is a memorable experience. However, it’s a bit disappointing to see that some areas around it could be better maintained and cared for. Such an iconic site deserves more attention and preservation to keep its beauty shining for future generations. Despite that, Big Ben remains a must-see attraction and one of the most remarkable places to visit in London.

A fantastic experience and absolutely worth it! The views from the top are incredible — you can see all of London’s major landmarks so clearly. The ride is smooth, relaxing and perfect for both kids and adults. The staff are friendly and organised, making the whole process easy from start to finish. It’s a great family activity, amazing for photos, and something everyone should try at least once. Highly recommended!

Staff were friendly and the capsules were clean and comfortable. Definitely worth it, especially around sunset!

I’ve been wanting to take the kids on The London Eye for a while but I’m glad I waited until they were older otherwise I think they would have got bored after a while! We came during the summer holidays so the weather was nice and the views were beautiful. I pre booked for the best ticket prices and to take advantage of the £20 per adult and £18 per child special offers. We enjoyed it and the kids were able to spot famous buildings which was fun 😁 The only let down was that there were alot of us in our cabin as we were grouped up with a large family with limited seating so after a while of standing i had to sit on the poles due to issues with my knee and the kids sat on the floor. It was a busy day and I think the staff filled the cubicle to capacity This is something to bear in mind for those that may have ailments or disabilities where they need to sit down. Other than that it is worth the visit, we didn’t wait long in the queue and they also take pictures and give you a card with a QR code which can be scanned so you can purchase the pictures after your ride which is nice 😊

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.
