Seeing The Last Supper at the Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie was truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment for me. No photo or book could ever prepare you for the feeling of standing in front of Leonardo’s masterpiece. The atmosphere is quiet and almost sacred—you can sense the history in the room. I felt completely in awe, almost like time had stopped, just taking in the details and the emotion on each Apostles faces. It was absolutely worth the wait and all the planning. If you’re dreaming of seeing it, please do yourself a favor and book well in advance—tickets sell out quickly and you can’t just walk in on the day. This experience is something I’ll carry with me forever.

Visiting the Last Supper Museum in Milan requires significant advance planning, as there are no ticket sales on site. All tickets must be purchased online, and securing them is widely regarded as one of the most challenging museum bookings in Europe. Tickets are released only four times per year. For instance, tickets for the period from 1 November through 31 January become available on 30 September of that year. In addition, the museum releases a very small number of supplementary tickets every Wednesday at 12:00 PM (Milan time) for dates within the following couple of weeks. As a result, obtaining tickets often requires planning months in advance and checking the booking system diligently each Wednesday. It is, without exaggeration, a rather daunting and time-consuming process. Fortunately, we managed to secure a morning time slot during the week we were visiting Milan. Visitors must arrive at the gate 15 minutes before the scheduled entry time. The visit itself is strictly timed: you are allowed only 15 minutes inside the refectory to view Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. While brief, the controlled environment helps preserve the fragile mural and ensures a quiet, intimate viewing experience. Despite the effort required to obtain tickets, the experience is unequivocally worth it. Must do with a guide. You only get 15 minutes to see the painting so the information from the guide really helps in bringing the story alive. Our guide Silvia Zucco was excellent - knowledgeable, patient and a wonderful storyteller.

Take the guided tour. Our guide was very nice, told in detail about the history of the painting, the characters and also took us to the church. You need to explore the interior yourself ( which is the best part)! They have preserved the place very nicely.

On a recent trip to Milan, we had the pleasure of visiting Castello Sforzesco and absolutely loved exploring this historic treasure. Admission is free, and you can walk around the grounds to enjoy the beautiful landscape and gardens. There are clean washrooms and even a few food trucks inside the premises where you can grab a drink or snacks. This castle is wonderful for visitors of all ages and is quite picturesque, perfect for some lovely Instagram photos. You’ll need about 1–2 hours to stroll around and take in the surroundings, though you can certainly stay longer and relax in the peaceful gardens.

Chose the free option so could only walk around the grounds but still a very impressive building. I believe a lot of the rooms are little museums and exhibitions. Definitely worth a visit whether you pay or not. Dates back to the 15th Century I think. Lovely fountain in front one of the entrances.

Really great walk even if you don’t visit the castle itself. Lots of different areas, I liked the fountain and the park the most as was a good walk in the Milan weather. It does get very busy though so watch out for any pickpockets but besides that great attraction to see.

Bring water! It’s a lot of stone and no breeze at all even on a November day it’s hot. The building is beautiful and fun to read about the different times and styles people wanted to build. (And all the holes are for scaffolding for fast and easy repairs)

Went here at around 16.00 with my boyfriend, it’s already dark and to go inside the castle is almost closed so we just spend an hour around the palace field and garden and it was Beautifuuuuuuuuul! They have a lot of information board with stories about the castles! Very interesting (and one tips is to bring your AI friends to ask them about everything you’ve been curious about) there are so many magnificent remains even outside the castle! Would love to come here again maybe in the morning to really explore inside 🤓

a lovely castle with many museums (picture gallery, Museum of Ancient art, Museum of musical instruments, Museum of decorative art and Museum o prehistory and protohistory). When I can, I go to the early period music concert which is a great quality in an exceptional atmosphere. The entrance ticket is not expensive and there are really many ancient objects to enjoy. There is a big park, Parco Sempione, just behind the castle.

Castello Sforzesco is a very large majestic castle in Milan. There are several entrances/ exits. There are both ends towers. Free toilets are also available. Outside, next to the castle is a large beautiful fountain. There is a food stall selling nice fluffy chestnuts at the entrance. Policemen on horses are awesome.

Awesome building and great atmosphere grand arches make it a must see landmark. It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll, luxury shopping, or enjoying a coffee while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. A truly iconic Milanese experience.

The architecture here is IMPRESSIVE! While it looks like a regular shopping street, it's nowhere near that. It's a reminder of how majestic Italy and their history is. Take a look above you, and you see a dome. Take a look below you and you see Mosaic tiles. Each corner, each crevice, each tile perfectly placed. As you walk around, you will see the HEAVY hitters in luxury stores. LV, Prada, Chanel, Gucci, Versace, and many more. Even if you don't shop, it's still impressive to walk around and take in the beauty.

Walking around during the roof terraces on a sunny day was terrific. The outside of the Cathedral is more interesting than the inside, but that is still very impressive. The museum was a lit more interesting than I thought it was going to be We bought timed tickets (the timing is for the roof) before going. When I bought them, I thought they were expensive. After the visit, they seem good value as visiting all areas took the whole day.

Visited Duomo di Milano, and it was one of the most awe-inspiring sights of my entire trip. I was so impressed that I went back three days in a row – both during the day and at night – and each time it felt just as magical. Whether you're exploring inside, walking on the rooftop, or just enjoying the view from the square, this place is unforgettable. A must-see in Milan!

Genuinely one of the most stunning, astonishing places I've ever visited. Its genuinely so breathtaking, I'll never visit another place that makes you feel so amazed. I'd recommend getting tickets beforehand and remember to cover your shoulders and ladies, wear a long dress or they'll make you buy a bag to cover up.

A beautiful estate with a fascinating walk to and from the site. Definitely touristy but absolutely worth the visit. Be aware: Google’s “mostly flat” description is misleading—you’ll need to tackle some uphill sections, so bring good shoes.

Very beautiful and pristine villa. Everything is very manicured and clean. It is about a 2km walk from the Leno ferry terminal. Definitely some gradients so wear comfortable shoes. This villa is home to famous scenes in Star Wars and also James Bond Casino Royale.

Such an incredible place to visit if you are going to Lago di Como, I would suggest buying the tickets in advance so you can skip the wait, bring comfortable shoes, I wouldn’t recommend heels or anything like that if you do want to enjoy the most hidden places here. Very clean, it takes about 2-3 hours so see and enjoy most of the villa! Is a must!

One word – magnificent. I recommend buying tickets in advance to avoid waiting. We arrived at 10 a.m. and waited about 20 minutes in line. The villa opens at 10:00 a.m. They allow only a limited number of visitors inside, which is great because it’s not overcrowded. The ticket costs €14.

To reach it, you have to walk about 750-800 meters after parking your car, but believe me, it's worth it 👍I think if you came to visit Lake Como, you should definitely see this place, the entrance fee is 13€ per person, very well preserved, Italian architectural features and the magnificent Como atmosphere, wonderful 👍

Famous from Hollywood-movies this gorgeous villa and surrounding gardens are a must visit when visiting Lake Como. We took the guides tour inside the Villa which was very fascinating. It was very hot and crowded in gardens however, so would recommend to visit off-season and make sure to buy your tickets in advance.

Nice museum with several exhibits. Also has gorgeous views of lake como. There is also a restaurant to grab some lunch. It was not crowded when we visited also there was no line to buy tickets. Worthwhile visiting the villa.

An absolute architectural, botanical and historical marvel of the last 500 years. The grounds of the villa are absolutely gorgeous - fountains sculptures, and perfectly manicured floral heaven. The garden is truly remarkable with how much variety of plants there are and also the way it's been maintained. For the building itself, nothing short of extraordinary - the design and architecture is impressive. There is so much history and craftsmanship behind this place.

Inside and out Villa Carlotta was a joy to visit. We loved the art work inside the villa. Be sure o look up as many of the rooms are adorned with frescos and or reliefs. The grounds are a botanical wonder with species brought in from around the world.

Beautiful villa with stunning lake views and lush gardens. The inside has some impressive art and sculptures, but the real highlight is walking through the gardens, peaceful and scenic, a perfect spot to slow down and take in the beauty of Lake Como.

Lovely visit especially enjoyed the extensive gardens, agricultural history and interactive commentary in our language about basement life at the Villa. Reasonable €15 entrance (€13 for over 65s) Luggage lockers were helpful. Bistro service for 2 hot drinks was slow on the day(20/8/25) as they seemed short-staffed.

I love meandering through this park and watching the sunset by the fountain in front of Palazzo Reale. Lingering is a priority here! We stumbled on a Beer/Food Truck festival on the last visit ... which was fun! they had trucks reprenting almost every type of cuisine in the world.

Incredibly huge park. The racing circuit part is very big alone, but the rest is big as well. Suitable for sports activities of many kinds. They even have running tracks for several lengths. Prep for many kms walk or better, ride. There was a huge storm in July 23 that massacred the racing track surrounding. Over 10 000 trees fell down.

Big beautiful park of the royal palace. 🌳🪵🍃 We spent not one but two days walking around and feeding the squirrels. 🥜🐿️ There are so many. 😍 There is a lake, with plenty of fish 🐟 and ducks 🦆 The tower looks cool. You really have plenty of options how to enjoy this place. ☺️

Great place for younger children, height limits on some rides (105cm & 120cm) so worth keeping this in mind before you visit. Was a hot June day, plenty of wet areas to cool down but they are a bit manic so need to supervise young ones Bought our tickets in advance, and walked right in Food was responsibly priced, and the pizza I had was really good!

Nice place for younger children that want to experience rides. However, we were bit disappointed about Thomas the train been on service on that day so we couldn't experience it. We were waiting for it and after asking to one of the staff members we discovered that wasn't operating. Was a quite day so we didn't experience any queue. I don' t think is worth waiting 45min or more for a ride on peak season. Overall was a nice experience, my son had so much fun and had the possibility to experience different rides that he never tried before

Definitely interesting if you have kids and a spare day near Milan, though underwhelming if you’ve been to other parcs in Europe/US. It’s really geared to young kids, teenagers and up would quickly get bored. The parc itself is small but spacious, and clean. The only downside is the access roads; whover design the last couple of kms of entrance to the olace must have truly hated the parc (or people in general). Expect to waste about 30’ sitting in the car from the moment you see the entrance sign at a distance till you actually cross it

Unfortunately they have beit's becoming a place where the crowds exceed the livability just to pursuit profit. The ambience is actually well done and plenty of services. But you'll easily spend more time queuing (average 20 mins) instead of enjoying carousel.

Went in mid April when there was still snow covering the top of the mountains and it was great fun! Experience: Friendly staff, hassle free. We checked in, filled in some details, got kitted up just before you ‘fly’ and we were away. Double/joint flight: Slightly cheaper than two singles and good laugh for couples/friends or family. There’s a 180kg limit and they weigh you just before your first flight. One top one bottom flyer, you can’t swap as it’s different kit. I’d recommend the top being the slightly taller just so you get more visibility of the mountainside over the other person. You do two flights, one down slightly less fast, then get a minibus in a small group to your second flight and you end where you started! Whole thing takes about 30 minutes Travel: We drove up, there’s free but limited parking right by the office, it’s not far from Lake Como (it took us under 2hrs and we were in Lezzeno). This was a lot of fun! It’s such a long zip-line, that during the flight you have plenty time to look around and you’ll feel like a bird flying between the mountains. The staff at this place is friendly, professional and most speak good English. I recommend you ask for safety glasses if you don’t wear your own (sun)glasses or have contact lenses, this to prevent your eyes from tearing up and maybe loosing your lenses ;) also makes it easier to look around you.

Two hours of waiting and being told that we could start in 20 minutes over and over so that we couldn't do anything else in the meantime. They could have easily called us beforehand, too because they knew they had a delay since the morning hours. No price reduction. A free foto was the least they could do. The flight was great though, but not that exciting. Do it for the view, not the kick.

Totally satisfying from beginning to end! We spent the afternoon at the spa, and were truly impressed by the breathtaking decoration, attention to detail, and the many different spaces to relax and enjoy. After doing a trekking route from Bergamo to San Pellegrino, this place felt like pure heaven — a well-deserved reward after a beautiful but intense hike. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to have more food and snack options, especially for those spending several hours inside. A beautiful and rejuvenating place, ideal for couples, solo travelers, or friends seeking deep relaxation. Highly recommended after any outdoor activity in the region!

A spa excellence around the world, with a great combination of facilities, location (one of the best examples of Italian liberty style IMO) and value for money on offer. It can get a bit busy, even on a Wednesday, but there's plenty of space for everyone, without ever feeling overcrowded or cramped. Only downside is the lack of any "ritual" or "experience" at determined time-slots like at Asmana or De-Montel, which could further enhance the relaxing journey

We came on Monday around 12:30, and lunch at 1:00 was included. Later, at 4:45 pm, we were also offered complimentary snacks and drinks in the buffet area — such a nice surprise! The whole experience was amazing: there are plenty of rooms to relax in, saunas, and a pool. They even gifted us a wonderful hand cream, and the whole place smells incredible and looks beautiful. We’ll definitely come back again! Five hours just flew by — if you think you might get bored, you definitely won’t. It’s easy to spend the entire day there.

Amazing experience, one of the best spa resort I have ever seen! Great atmosphere, amazing buildings, I felt like I was in a palace! Great variety of heated pools and different activities! The massage was unbelievable good! Very busy and popular but everything was perfect! My only advice would be to take your own flip flops because the ones they provide are not very comfortable.

Option chosen was the 17:30 to 22:00 closing cost €55 bought and paid for a treat from our daughter-in-law. This included an Italian cold meal / snack with a drink 🥃 healthy option nibbles. Then we spend time both in and outside. Sauna pools , jacuzzi, steam rooms , foot spas. When we were leaving we found hot rooms with fragrance and across the 🧊 ice room. Young and old all paraded around in their flip flops and robes. Both of us are in the older “lemmin” stage of life and enjoyed it as 2 old “foggi’s” Well worth the experience

I'm going to try keep this short as to not distract from the main points. 1. Too many people. Even on a Wednesday. I can't fathom the weekends. This seems to be a problem that has gotten worse in the last year. First visit was September 2024 and now October 2025. Dedicated time slots and raise the prices if you want but it's not worth the effort at this point. Normal people overpaying to pretend to be rich for a day. No value. 2. Public display of affection. There is a limit and I reached it today when a young couple was literally having intercourse next to us, I was about a meter away and left after a very awkward couple minutes of denial. Then when we passed by the window to the same small pool (next to the steam sauna) he was going down on her. I can't make this up. Took a shower walked back by, still going. Probably 5 minutes. Atleast 30 people must have seen this. Unacceptable. 3. Fashion show, Instagram/Tiktok make-out location. Maybe it's the proximity to Milan. I don't understand it. Wellness is not on the mind for any of the younger crowd. 4. Zero spa etiquette. The swimsuits in the sauna are already hard enough to wrap my mind around - compared to Austrian and German counterparts. Lack of decorum in places meant for relaxation is painful. You may need to honestly consider staff to keep people on track and following instructions. Then when you are changing or showering in the WOMEN'S locker room you get laughed at of you are naked. 5. Visit once for the views. Go elsewhere for relaxation. It's Disneyland at this point. Nothing says spa day like queuing up to sweat in a sauna where half bring in their shoes in and no towel. If you even have shoes left. Surely they will get stolen at some point during your stay if you don't bring your own. The Good: Architecture, old world charm in the historic Casino area with heaps of potential. If other problems were addressed, I think it could be a 5/5, someday.

Paradise on the Earth. I was blessed to receive a full day gift voucher from my friends for QC Terme SPA. I've chosen San Pellegrino and was absolutely blown away by its beauty and full experience. First of all—the location is one if a kind—magical. Its like a palace. Personnel is super polite and professional. The SPA experience itself is Reviving — flowing from "dry" areas such as salt sauna , cinema sauna, alps emmersive experience, aroma therapy etc to water based treatment with jacuzzis , labyrinth and just simple chill at internal or external areas. It’s a lot of steps to go up the tower but there is something to see on each floor as well as to catch your breath. It is really worth paying to see the tower which includes access to the Baptist part. But the Tower makes you really look at the clock which is far, far advanced to anything we have still and it still works in part. Plus the great views of the city at the top. The cathedral itself is a must too including the crypt and really a great respite from the heat.

Absolutely beautiful cathedral! The architecture is impressive from both outside and inside. The atmosphere inside is peaceful and highly decorated with paintings. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Cremona.

A fantastic cathedral. We went to mass which was incredible with voices of the choir like angels. And what a beautiful church. The art is beautiful. Plan on at least an hour for a visit. Longer if you attend mass.

This place is wonderful, the Torrazzo is the 3rd tallest brickwork bell tower in the world, was constructed in 1309. the view from the tower is astonishing

Imposing and vast, much more than you might reckon for a relatively small city as Cremona. The inside is richly decorated (many reinassance artists contributed to its beautifully preserved frescoes) and the vault awe-inspiring. The church is free to visit - the rest of the complex, for example the bell tower, is not. Don't miss the floor mosaics in the crypt!

Our recent visit to Lago d’Iseo was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled amidst breathtakingly picturesque surroundings, this hidden gem offers a perfect blend of serene lakeside beauty and majestic mountain landscapes. The local restaurants were exceptional, serving delicious regional cuisine with charm and authenticity, truly a culinary delight at every turn. Yet, perhaps the most memorable aspect was the warmth and genuine friendliness of the local people, whose hospitality made our experience utterly delightful. Lago d’Iseo is undoubtedly a treasure; we look forward eagerly to our next visit!

Lago d‘Iseo is a gem. It is one of those underrated northern Italian lakes that still feels authentic and relaxed compared to Como or Garda.

Iseo Very beautiful lake. You can freely walk along the banks of the lake. There are many restaurants to get food and drink.

I made a small roundtrip around iseo even though it was raining but was worth it for me so calm to take a walk and take the fresh air out of this lake too bad i didn't saw and got the oppurtunity to take a big trip here, maybe next time. 🫡

very very nice place to spend time with family, friends you can also do sports like jogging , running , walking, cycling , Rowing you cay also take a boat to visit the mini island , any way you can do a lot of Activities with very nice view, also if you just want to sitting and enjoying the view you absolutely can do it and its nice place to do picnics with kids you just need to watch them and make sure they will not going into the water

Beautiful lago, one of the smaller but still as beautiful lakes. You can get a ferry across to mountisola where you can walk up the top, swim in the lago grab a lunch or just stroll around the island. It is beautiful a little busy at times but does bot distract from its stunning scenery. Parking was hard in a few places on the mainland as was quite busy when we went. Have to wear a ffp2 mask on the ferry which they sell with tickets.

Loved this castle. great place to spend a couple of hours wondering around the grounds of this ancient castle. The tower provided an amazing view of the city. I highly recommend stopping here and taking in a coffee in the piazza outside the castle. Parking was easy and the castle is located near many of the other historic sites.

Good for a short stop while travelling between Franciacorta and Lake Garda. The castle is beautifully lighted up in the evening and there is free parking at the base of the castle. Great spot to see the sunset and the castle’s drawbridge is very well preserved too.

Awesome Castle. The walk up is interesting, following the names of terrorism victims and the view from the top is amazing. No entrance fee either. Best thing we did in Brescia.

Lovely castle to visit for free with great views round the city. Lots of seating areas for sitting with lunch and free toilets. There are a couple of museums that we didnt have time to visit bur would have liked to. There is a ricket for 19 euris for adults that allows access to many of the main sights. Definitely worth the walk up the steps or the less steep path.

Great visit, and it was free when I visited. Amazing view over the city. It was not crowded, and there was available free parking. I enjoyed it.

Impressive castle with stunning views over Brescia. Walk from the city centre is pleasant (a bit steep in parts but manageable). Entrance to castle grounds is free and it’s very easy to enjoy 2+ hours exploring and appreciate the views!

This is a very cool historical adventure. The tour was worth the ticket price, the grounds are gorgeous, and we had the best time learning about the history of the owner and his life. Make sure you buy tickets at least the day before. And even if they say the tour is only available in Italian, they will provide information in other languages as well. Plan to spend about 3 hours exploring the grounds and touring the house.

Very nice place, but beware, there are LOTS OF STAIRS! So. Many. Stairs. Never-ending stairs. And even more stairs! I do not recommend anyone to try going here with a stroller, although my arm muscles probably doubled in size after lugging our stroller filled with food, drinks, and a one-year-old up and down the million stairs here. But otherwise, definitely well worth the visit, the views are beautiful, photogenic, and seeing a boat in the middle of an Italian hillside is very unusual! It wasn't overcrowded (September Sunday afternoon), and we got our tickets on the spot with no problem (although we didn't go on a tour of the house).

The park is very nice, the views of the Garda are amazing, but the museum itself tells a very superficial and one sided story about D'Annunzio. On a weekend in October it was well visited, but you never get the impression it is too full

Amazingly beautiful location, we visited at the end of season (mid October) so not everything was open. Would definitely visit again, people very friendly, scenery was beautiful 😍

My favourite of All the lakes . Sirmione especially was magical . Pass by the Roman palace hotel Villa Cortina , share a small intimate boat ride with live saxaphone at the Goldenur and visit the museum On the ocean side of the lake . The gelataria offers the biggest fattest ice cream cones ive seen in my 40 years of travel . There is also an outdoor ruined fortress near the museum . Take time to stroll the pretty neighbor hood of lucky homes when you near the museum- they all face the lake and are to be admired . We drove to Malcesine , one of the few towns with any amenities but it was so overwhelming with all the German tourists and little space to sit down anywhere . A mob scene . We didn’t see Beyond the right side of the lake and will see the other side next time. But for me Sirmione and its castle was an outstanding pleasure .

We had an absolutely fabulous day at the Gardaland! You feel like in a fairytale, and all the roller coasters are very exciting! 😍 I recommend going on a (rainy) weekday, so the queues are shorter and you manage to see everything. Feel free to skip the Jumanji Adventure ride though, it’s not quite worth a 40+ minute wait.

Another amazing amusememt park for kids and older as well. Rides get pretty busy with the nice weather, like in every resort. I wish there was a better overview what each ride offers - we waited 90 minutes for Jumanji adventure, which was absolutely no advanture plus it was all in Italian. Other than that, only 4 rides required height over 140, few over 130. Make sure to check these requirements before going. Also, buying tickets outside od the official venue office is cheaper so look for those selling points in the city.

We visited Gardaland on a Wednesday and had an amazing time! 🎢 The waiting time for each ride was less than 15 minutes, which made the whole experience super smooth. The official app showing live queue times was very helpful — it helped us plan our route efficiently and enjoy more rides. The park is clean, beautifully themed, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and organized, and there were plenty of food options and rest areas. Both the kids and adults had a blast — from the thrilling roller coasters to the fun family attractions. Highly recommend visiting on a weekday if possible — short queues, great atmosphere, and so much fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic for kiddies as there is a great balance of calmer rides with ease of motion while still holding very good production value. The adult rides too are equally fantastic. I hold the overall experience below Europa park however and wouldn't go too far out of my way to visit it.

So much fun, there's something for everyone. We also went during weekday in October, there was minimal queue and wait time even on popular rides. Absolutely recommended visiting if you have kids and are in the area.

We had such a fantastic time at Gardaland! The park is full of magic, excitement, and plenty of things to do for both kids and adults.There are so many attractions from thrilling rides to fun games that kept us entertained all day. The decorations and themed areas are beautiful and immersive, making it feel like stepping into another world.The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well-organized despite the crowds. It’s also worth mentioning that the park is very clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of places to relax, grab food, or cool down.If you’re visiting Italy with kids, Gardaland is absolutely worth it. I am sure that a family would love this place...my wife and stayed at the Gardaland hotel, and rode the bus to the park in the morning (bus runs every 16 minutes) We love roller coasters and these did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very family friendly and the park is very well cared for (it's clean!) over all a great experience.

A beautiful botanical park not far from the southern part of Lake Garda. We visited in early June 2025. The park is lush with greenery, butterflies, and birds. It’s highly recommended to take the small train tour that runs through the park. The ride lasts about 35 minutes and circles the entire park, giving you a sense of its size and helping you decide which areas you'd like to explore on foot. Some of the highlights include a Japanese garden, a plant maze, an herb and butterfly garden, an educational farm, and more. We spent about three wonderful hours there — you could easily spend even more. Be sure to bring a bottle of water, as it can get quite hot during the day, even in June. Convenient parking is available about 250 meters north of the park entrance, in the supermarket parking lot.

Beautiful park and great family outing We went on a family trip to Parco Giardino Sigurtà and had a lovely day. We enjoyed a picnic in the gardens and drove around in a small golf cart, which the kids absolutely loved. The park is stunning and very well maintained – perfect for a relaxing day in nature. It is a bit on the expensive side though; we paid around 720 DKK for one golf cart for 2.5 hours. Highly recommended!

Amazing botanical garden, an absolute must see if you are in the area. Good paths to walk on, however, since the park is so big, there's also an option to rent a bike or golfkart. We rented a gokfkart, which is very convenient with small children.

Huge gardens with ponds, maze, castels, and other scenic beauties... Can spend days over there. Electric bikes and golf carts are available to rent.

The park itself is beautiful, but €46 for 2 adults and 2 kids is way too much considering the experience. Many attractions were closed, the park felt empty, and there wasn't much to do. It's a nice place to walk around, but with so little open, it should cost no more than €5 per person.

Beautiful place with amazing flowers. You can spend the entire day there. Bicycles are recommended, too bad they are not suitable for all ages.

Lots of neat artwork, but what you get to see for the €15 entry pales in comparison the the Ducal Palace complex including the San Giorgio castle (same entry fee) and museums. It was neat to check out, but if you only have time or funds for one, this is not the better choice considering offerings options and price. But it sure is worth stroll thru if you are here and interested. Different style of artwork than a lot we saw around there. Don't forget the grotto before you leave!

This is the palace built by the royal family of Mantua, as a palace of leisure, now a museum. It is richly decorated with frescoes, including those by Giulio Romano. My favorite room was The Hall of the Giants alhough others were also quite beautiful. There is a good audioguide in English and other languages.

Palazzo Te is a stunning example of Italian Mannerist architecture and a must-see for art and history lovers. Built in the 16th century by Giulio Romano for Federico II Gonzaga, it’s both elegant and eccentric. The highlight is the Sala dei Giganti, where dramatic frescoes engulf visitors in a collapsing world of myth. The palace’s playful illusions and masterful fresco work make it feel more like a theatrical experience than a museum. While it’s not massive, the artistry is unforgettable. A unique gem in Mantua that blends grandeur with creative flair.

A gorgeous piece of history that is still standing today. Seeing Palazzo Te transports you back in time, and feels as though you’re in a dream. We visited the wonderful November 2023 exhibition, and the place was in pristine condition. The infamous Sala dei Giganti e Sala dei Cavalli are not to be missed! Staff are extremely kind, and like all other museums in Italy, they offer discounts for students, elderly people and children.

Great garden. The palace is not very big but has interesting rooms to see. Most of them were too provocative for mine taste of art but all of them were made with grace and detailed. The sun and the moon was my favourite . It was very shocking for me that every place in Montova has different working hours in every day of the week. So if you are planning to visit definitely take the working hours map from the info point.

Very impressive palace with water and a garden. Our tour guide Simone was a lovely and hilarious addition to the experience. The palace's rooms offer a very diverse selection of decorations, some of the frescoes make you wonder what kind of orgies they were celebrating. If you're planning to open a queer club, go here for inspiration!

This was perhaps the best Palazzo I ever visited. Of course, Mantegna's work (camera degli sposi) was fab, but the building, setting, views as a whole were remarkable. I can understand why 400 years of Gonzagas lived here.

Palazzo Ducale is a breathtaking testament to Renaissance opulence—a vast labyrinthine complex of over 500 rooms, evolved from the 13th to the 17th century by luminaries like Giulio Romano, Antonio Maria Viani, and Giuseppe Piermarini . The crown jewel is undoubtedly the Camera degli Sposi, Andrea Mantegna’s illusionistic masterpiece that transports you into the heart of the Gonzaga dynasty . You’ll also discover the dazzling Hall of Mirrors, rich with mythological frescoes and regal reflections , along with sumptuous tapestries and Rubens’s “Adoration of the Holy Trinity” .

Four hours of magnificance! This palace is now one of my favourites. Starting with the bridal room and Mantegna's masterpiece - leading through corridors, rooms, passages, balustrades and gardens with some of the most stunning works ever made. As for the gardens and collection rooms - Having visited the Met's Cloisters, brought back memories - Ducale's Palace must have been an important benchmark and inspiration. A worthwhile visit. Bring time and a pair of comfy shoes or sandels. I walked the full stretches of Venice's palazzos, but Ducale is where I needed to rest my feet after the visit.

Didn’t expect much, but ended up really enjoying this muzeum. The castle itsef is amazing, very nice and well preserved frescoes. A lot of different items on display, everything from sea shells, crocodiles, greek and roman sculptures, to weapons. Nice place for kids :)

Very nice and extensive palace, so big that you can get lost ( or out of energy). A must if you travel in Mantova.

Dizzying array of intricately decorated rooms and artistic artifacts. You’ll never be able to absorb it all.

I would say that it is the main place you have to visit in northern Italy. The Palace is huge. Mind that you will need at least to 4-5 hours if you want to see most of it. It has a day off so either check in advance or take working hours from the info point near it.

Only 2 kilometers, around 20 - 25 minutes from the parking. Nice hiking trails. Easy level. You can go further if you want to. Restaurant nearby is probably open only in summer. Some renovation of the trails right now. Completely empty mid-March.

Great place. If you on you motorcycle there is very nice road to go up to the very end of the path! 5€ FOR A BIKE! 15 km long next to river with lots of waterfals.

Since there had been plenty of rain, the Cascate was roaring like a freight train. Absolutely stunning.

It's a great place for a two hours to half day trip. At the entrance, we were charged 9 Euros for entering the second parking lot ( 7 Euros for the first parking lot)

It is a piece of history and worth a visit just for the view from the tower. There are special exhibitions in the castles main hall. When I was there, it was chanting mother's = video and sound playing mother's from different ethnicity singing lullabies to their babies, quite beautiful. From the tower, you'll get an awesome view of Malcesine and the surrounding areas, including the Garda Lake.

Castello Scaligero di Malcesine is absolutely fantastic and what a superb attraction and place to visit for only just €7.00 per adult. This castle despite from the outside giving the perception of being small, is actually quite spacious once inside with plenty of different levels, rooms, towers and garden areas to explore. Given its age, it is well preserved and its history is very well charted and presented as you work your way through the castle. The information is presented in several languages and incredibly well done as it gets all the key information over without drowning you in extensive detail. This is a spectacular building setting out the historic challenges between Milan and the Venetians. The History of Lake Garda and Malcesine is also documented throughout the different displays. As you’d imagine given its location, the views from the castle and especially the top of the main tower are just great. 360 degree views of the Italian Alps, Malcesine and Lake Garda are there to be enjoyed. It would be criminal to come to Malcesine and not visit Castello Scaligero di Malcesine…. This place is an absolute must and you need to allow circa 2 hours to explore.

Beautiful views from here over the lake! You can explore all the terraces and climb up the tower but there is not really much to see on the inside apart from an art installation when we were there. Worth a visit though!

The castle is definitely worth a visit. From the top, you get a breathtaking view over the lake—absolutely stunning and perfect for photos. A great spot to explore history and enjoy the scenery at the same time.

Nicely renovated structures of the castle, pricing a look into the history with differing ownership over the centuries. The view on from the tower into the rooftops of Malcesine and the coastline is spectacular.

One of the larger castles to visit. It is still a castle that is in ruin amd is mostly outdoors. Great views and the old town around the area is fun to wander around.

A bit too windy on top and way colder than at the lake but the views were amazing! We could see the lake very well, and the mountains around us. You should definitely go to the top if you’re at Lake Garda! It’s a good spot for paragliding, if you’re interested in that.

Great views of mountains and Lake Garda. Cable cars are good. BUT, online booking didn't work so had to queue in blazing sun for 25 minutes and then join the main queue for a further hour and a half. I wouldn't bother going again.

Hiking with astonishing views on Garda Lake is amazing. Rout to Monte Baldo is not very hard but still demanding. Down is hot, up much colder. Not many tourists, no crowd. Only beautiful surroundings, nature and sun. 5 hours walk worth to make!

it is said - buy a ticket online - avoid the queue ! - but that is not true! - don’t bother! you enter the building and there is a queue for 2 hours! and everyone stands together - you can’t avoid queue at all! and it is super hot :( I do not recommend it in high season unless you have the whole day free and like waiting in a huge crowd:(

Great view over Lake Garda, you could take the cable car from Malcesine, or drive by car and then walk 30-45 min.

I loved the whole experience, went on a Monday and there weren’t lots of people so more fun and no queues incase you wanna go for biking, cable car or paragliding. Beautiful panoramic. I loved the cows 😆🥰

Splendid view in the lake and many ridges in the other side of the mountain. Paragliders made it a picturesque scene. We liked it all the way.

Piazza delle Erbe is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric squares in all of Italy. Surrounded by elegant palaces, medieval towers, and richly decorated façades, it feels like stepping back in time. The square has been the beating heart of Verona since the Roman era, once serving as the city’s forum, and today it still pulses with life from morning to night. The architecture is breathtaking — from the frescoed façades of the Mazzanti Houses to the Baroque Palazzo Maffei with its statues of classical gods. Every corner seems to tell a story of centuries gone by, blending Roman, medieval, and Renaissance influences seamlessly. That said, it is incredibly crowded, especially during peak hours. Tour groups, market stalls, and cafés all compete for space, so be prepared for a lively (and sometimes overwhelming) atmosphere. Still, even with the crowds, the energy of the square only adds to its charm. If you’re visiting Verona, Piazza delle Erbe is absolutely unmissable. I truly enjoyed strolling through Piazza delle Erbe, Verona’s oldest square. It’s a vibrant blend of history and daily life—once a Roman forum, now surrounded by medieval buildings, frescoed facades, and lively cafés. The square hosts bustling markets and iconic monuments like the Colonna di San Marco and Fontana di Madonna Verona. The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was a real pleasure to take in all the beautiful historic architecture.

Piazza delle Erbe is a truly beautiful square. It's lined with a row of stunning buildings, with the most magnificent of all—Palazzo Maffei—standing proudly at one end. In the center, you'll find the impressive Madonna Fountain of Verona and a bustling bazaar full of life. The edges of the square are dotted with charming-looking restaurants, shops and cafés. We didn’t eat there ourselves, though, as the square was quite crowded with fellow tourists. That said, we did find a few quieter corners along the edges, perfect for sitting back and watching people pass by—it was quite entertaining!

A beautiful square that feels big but still quite cozy. In my opinion, it’s definitely more interesting than the large one by the Arena. From here you’ve got direct access to Juliet’s house, plus plenty of nice restaurants, narrow streets, and cafés all around. The atmosphere is fantastic – you could wander here all day.

Unassuming plaza with statues and fountains surrounded by beautiful buildings from times gone past. Several street cafes offering food and drink at reasonable prices. A great place for people watching and soaking up the atmosphere re.

Despite what many believe, Juliet was not a real historical person. This house once belonged to the Cappello family — a name that inspired Shakespeare’s “Capulet.” The famous balcony was added centuries later to recreate the feeling of the legendary love story of Romeo and Juliet. Still, the place has an undeniable charm. Visitors come from all over the world to leave love notes, touch Juliet’s statue for luck, and feel the spirit of romance that Verona is famous for. A must-see, even if the story is a beautiful myth. ❤️

If you are a fan of the immortal story of two lovers, then you must visit Juliet's house. The house is constantly besieged by tourists, so think carefully about when you want to visit (preferably in the morning). I personally like the collection of artworks in the house, and the original wall paintings are also impressive. I recommend that everyone who visits the house also visit Romeo's home. It is completely overlooked, and only rarely do tourists stop at the memorial plaque on the site where his home once stood.

Still, this place has sadly lost some of its romance. The inner courtyard is flooded with crowds – noise, long lines to touch Juliet’s statue, and cameras flashing from every direction. There’s little real romance left; it feels more like a tourist ritual than a place of love. The museum is interesting to visit, with Juliet’s statue and a few authentic details, but you’ll feel the true spirit of Verona much more while wandering through its charming streets than standing amidst the crowds.

Casa di Giulietta in Verona is a romantic landmark linked to Shakespeare’s Juliet. The 13th-century house features a charming balcony said to inspire the famous scene from _Romeo and Juliet_. Visitors leave love notes on its walls, making it a symbol of timeless passion and literary enchantment. By the way it is very crowded.

Paying the ticket to see the house is much better than the experience outside. Even in low season was completely crowded to the point that the statue looked even nervous herself. There is the same statue inside the house with no crowd, and from the house you can take a picture from the balcony. Staff is kind of rude

This was a tourist trap. The balcony is way small and only 2 persons can fit. We did not visit the inside of the house because of the reviews on Google saying that it was nothing special. The yard was ok and we got to take pictures of the statue of Juliete and the wall of letters. There was a shop nearby that could costumise everything you wanted to by that was nice. The store inside the house has only overpriced magnets and pens for tourists.

Wow every romantic person women ,man or couple need to visit this place and even if you not into romantic things definitely take your partner there is famous balcony spirit is still there for 2 people who love eachother but can't be toghtether is nice fairy tale and you need to be part of it, try get there in the morning when is less busy and dont forget Mark pen to write down something on wall

The exterior looks promising but the interior and amount of content is fairly limited. In comparison the much older natural science museum in Bergamo is much more interesting and holds much more specimens. That’s being said, it’s still a good option for a rainy day.

Great place for kids, and adults too. 5 stories of natural/tech entertainment with plenty of interactive activities. You can easily spend 3h there. Booking in advance highly recommended, especially on peak season. Tickets are timeslotted, with entries every 30 mins or so. Tickets is pretty cheap and with family packages options.

Beautiful museum with lots of possibilities to learn about interconnection of nature and animals as well as impacts of day to day behavior on our ecosystem. Ohr kids loved the self-experience area on second floor

An excellent, medium-sized museum with a rich and diverse exhibition. It's sensibly arranged so you can explore it according to your needs—some sections in detail, others just for a quick glance. A lot about natural history and a bit about the human impact on it. Interesting for both adults and children, even for easily bored teenagers—proven! Many interactive elements will delight young visitors. And the building itself - a piece od excellent architekture by Renzo Piano, worth seeing!

This is the most wonderful science museum I’ve ever visited. It has 5 floors of exhibitions and the last one is a terrace with great view. There is even a greenhouse with tropical plants, live birds, butterflies, fishes. There are a lot of activities for children, so they can learn, play and have fun in a museum. I love the whole idea and how it was executed. I highly recommend this museum both for children and adults.

I hiked it at the end of June and it was easy and safe to walk throughout. It's dark inside the tunnels, so a handlamp is necessary. From the path, you can admire some truly wonderful landacapes. I highly recommed it.

A great hike with interesting history and amazing views. I went in early September at around 8am and it was rather busy but never too bad, easy to overtake others as the path was very wide. The path was rocky and unsteady, so good shoes are recommended. It was cool in the tunnels but some portions of the path were fully exposed so sun protection is important too. Pretty much all uphill but worth it. Instead of taking the same path down I went down Strada degli Scarubbi on the other side of the mountain which was slightly longer but much easier on the knees as it was a dirt/gravel trail and also offered great views (including little walks through the forest which was nice). Overall highly recommend. Not particularly difficult, just to try go early if it's hot and go at your own pace.plenty of places to sit at the Refugio or on the mountainside.

Spectacular trail through impressive war constructions. The longest gallery winds like a cork screwer through the solid rock for more than a hundred meter to overcome a steep gradient. Impressive engineering feature and magnificent landscape. Bring a torch !

The most beautiful hike i ever done. Full of history. It's a hard path but it's worth till your last drop of sweat 😅

Today we wanted to conquer the Strada delle 52 Gallerie. It started with a nice warm sun and ended with rain and thunder. The view is great. A bit of fitness is required.

This is a great treck with incredible views. There's paid parking available and as most strongly suggest, you will need either a flashlight or head torch as many of the tunnels are too dark to see in.

It was a great adventure. We did the hike on 25 October. The weather was still great (as it was projected by the meteo).
