The Khambhalida Buddhist Caves are a hidden gem nestled at the foot of small hillocks by a spring. Carved out of limestone rocks, these caves consist of three main chambers, with the central one housing the stupa known as chaitya cave. The site also features two sculptures of Bodhisattva flanking the entrance to the chaitya cave. Despite being an archaeological site in Gujarat, it has been neglected and lacks proper management and promotion for tourism.

And no ticket 🎟️ charges to visit.
PS: best time to visit this place is in monsoon. there I river flowing behind the caves.

This place has potential to be developed as a major tourist attraction for it’s historical significance and Gujarat tourism must make efforts to publicize it on their web site and also transport arrangements from Rajkot airport. It is so great to see the history of old Tibetan / Jain monks from 4th century making this place for meditation.

Archeologically important and very ancient Buddhist caves with a small river flowing in front of the caves and lots of green trees in surroundings. Surrounding environment is calm and cool.

New Buddhist temple besides these caves is also being developed.
Must visit this place early in the morning or in the evening. The sound of peacocks all around creates a beautiful atmosphere, and the touch of nature will truly lift your spirits.

This is a very small part of what could have been a bigger residence or meditation cave for Buddhist Monks in the ancient era.
The cave is not open for exploration but this is a must visit if you are a history buff. Also, the natural environment makes a perfect opt for a photoshooot.
The place is secluded and in the middle of a jungle, many locals can be spotted however avoid wandering off the trek one can easily gets lost in the Jungle.
Peaceful place to spend quality time with your loved ones. Also surrounding is covered with green cover and can provide a very peaceful vibes.

The Dolls Museum is one of it's kind with amazing dolls from around the world. A must visit place in Rajkot. The cultures of different countries are being reflected with the eye catchy doll setups. The place reflects different cultures from around 102+ country with 1600+ Dolls in museum.
It's on 2nd and 3rd floor. There is a lift available. Monday is closed. The staff is also very well informed and they narrated us the complete story behind the set up of this museum.
The main thing is no doll being purchased, but all dolls are being gifted by all rotary clubs around the world…
The entry fee is Rs. 30 per person. There is extra Rs. 30 charge per camera if you want to take photographs. Cool place....

It's is one of the best museum of Gujarat, to understand the global culture. However its in narrow area, parking is also little problem. Worth to visit. Spare 1-2 hours.
A unique museum!! It's a rare opportunity to see a Dolls museum, here in Rajkot.
Good to visit with children. The museum is situated on 2&3 rd floors. The lift was not working when we reached there. We had to climb steps.
It was built by an ex Rotary president of Rajkot for his daughter. He wrote mails to Rotary branches of the world and hence many international branches sent dolls representing their country and regions.
It takes around 1 hour to see all the exhibits. The rooms are air conditioned. The tickets cost ₹30 per adult and ₹15 per child. It costs another ₹125 if you want to click photos.
The dolls represent their country's costume and culture. Children can spend good time there. However make sure they have emptied their bladder before. Because the toilet here is a medieval era one, on the ground floor. I wish the Rotary club would pay attention and renovate the toilet as kids come to this place.

A total different experience. Must visit, just 30₹ pp entry fees. This museum is surely made due to low and attraction towards dolls by rotary club. Definitely not a commercial thought process. Much appreciate the concept. They have 2 floors of museum, soveniour shop inside and collection of 1800+ different dolls from approx. 108 countries. Totally different and unique experience. Worth visiting. Please note its closed on Monday.
It’s been great to see a father’s commitment to her daughter for building such a dolls museum because he wasn’t able to make her daughter saw museum in Delhi. Many activities are going on here with just deposit and if full attendance then they refund full amount. Really well preserved all dolls in museum and one Zebra ride kind of activity is great for kids.

Very nice amusement park with lots of rides for kids and adults. They start at 4pm and is open all days in the week. There are some 4d show and horror house which is generally operational on weekends or when there are many people to attend.
The entry ticket is 17₹ for kids and 34₹ for adults, however there are combo package available at the ticket counter which includes 10-12 rides at apprx. 200₹. Or else u can chose and pay for each ride inside (they are reasonable between 17-30₹ per ride).
This kids' amusement park is a great value because it's managed by the government, which keeps prices low. The park is clean and well-maintained, and the rides are reasonably priced, making it an affordable treat for kids. The staff who operate the rides are friendly, polite, and attentive, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for young visitors.

Perfect place for kids to enjoy. This place has many rides which kids like a lot and many of these are suitable for adults as well. There are rides packages available at entrance at nominal cost like Rs 200 or so for 10-12 rides else one can also pay for individual rides at multiple counters present inside the premises as well. The place is majorly clean and toilet and water facility are available. Some options for Snacks icecreams etc are also available. One can find free Parking on main road outside. During late evening times the crowd is too much so one has to wait in long queues for his/ her turn for each ride. Overall nice breakout place for couple of hours.
This amusement park is so nice since many years. I vistied maybe 10 times here. It also has a pocket friendky ticket system which contains 2 different pass where 8 and 16 rides are included

I have been visiting Salangpur Hanumanji Mandir for almost 25 years now and have witnessed its amazing transformation — from a small temple to a grand tirtha sthaan. The growth in the last 5–7 years is truly remarkable. The new dharamshala, with 952 rooms, is incredible — it feels like a 5-star hotel with all modern amenities. The new bhojanshala is outstanding too, with an impressive capacity and excellent management.
As for the temple, there are no words — simply divine. Every visit feels special, and the murti of Hanumanji astonishes me every single time. All this is possible only because of Hanumanji’s grace and blessings on everyone who visits.

One of the best temple adjacent to BAPS swaminarayan temple dedicated to God Hanuman. It has a neat and clean surrounding and a devine feeling. Ample parking is available near temple and also many food outlets. It is also known as Kashtbhanjan temple. It's near Botad in Saurashtra and a popular destination among devotees. It has several good guest houses surrounded by temple with a Gaushala.

The Harappa civilization site at Lothal is a very beautiful place. It exudes a sense of peace, and the cool breeze makes you wonder why the people of Lothal chose to live here—perhaps it was because of this serene environment and pleasant climate. Although the structures are very old, their condition is gradually deteriorating because visitors enter the ruins, causing damage. In its current open state, it seems like the Archaeological Survey of India is not actively preserving it. The cemetery appears almost lost, with no accessible path to reach it. Overall, the site is very enriching for history enthusiasts, while others may see it as just a casual visit. However, you can truly appreciate that the people of that era had knowledge of science and mathematics. The government should take action to protect and preserve this heritage site.
Visiting lothal on weekends specially on early morning drives is recommended. I have visited yhe site at post monsoon so the dockyard is full of water giving real vibe. The location shows there is a museum is permenent closed. If you have prior knowledge of this site then this visit could be the most interesting. Otherwise you real roam around and exit.
Best time to visit this place is during winters. You will be able to sit and experience the thousands of years of history here. A must visit for history enthusiast. Currently the archeological musuem is under construction. There is no information when it will open again, therefore you won't be able see the artifacts that have been found here. But the site is open and you can definitely visit it.
Visited Lothal with family and really enjoyed the experience. The place gives a simple but amazing glimpse into one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Seeing the ancient dockyard and town layout felt like stepping back in time.

I went to Sabarmati Riverfront early in the morning during my exam days, and it turned out to be a very relaxing experience. The place is calm, the sound of the river waves is very soothing, and the cool morning breeze makes it even better.
Ahmedabad can be quite hot, so visiting this place in the morning felt really peaceful. There’s a metro station around 2 km away, so it’s also easy to reach. The main riverfront area is open 24/7, but if you want to visit the Atal Bridge or garden area, they open after 9 AM.
There are trees all around, and you can even find bicycles nearby to ride, though they are a bit costly. Still, it’s a good experience, especially for visitors from outside the city.
Overall, a great spot for a quiet walk or just to sit and relax in the fresh air.
The riverfront is very beautiful and it is very peaceful during non-peak hours. I visited during early morning hours and I saw people cycling and jogging on the promenade. The river was very calm and greenery was lush. The infrastructure developed by the government there is very well maintained. The walking space is huge and very picturesque. The long riverfront offers ample space to exercise, cycle, run and walk. The place is also clean and not littered by plastic. I also saw a river cleaning boat gathering trash that was thrown in river during early hours.

Every year Kite festival is organized at this place during 14-January week. It's runs for 4 days approximately. During day there are people from different countries participating their kite flying skill. During evening there is cultural programs. Parking is not available at this event place. Laden is 2-3km far near the flower park. Is wish a visit. There's food court, wash rooms and drinking water facility.
The place is very beautiful with a proper cleanliness maintained throughout. Here their was few public entertainment thing here like the bicycle ride and other things.

I visited Manek Chowk in Ahmedabad during a corporate trip. It’s near Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate and famous as a late-night food market open until 1 or 2 a.m. We went there because most of Ahmedabad closes by 8–9 p.m., unlike Delhi which stays lively late. Honestly, the experience was underwhelming. The area is crowded, but there are only 8–10 food carts, mostly selling the same items like bhaji pav, pulao, kaju pulao, small pizzas, and some South Indian snacks. Everything is served on plastic chairs and tables in open air, and hygiene seemed low.
The only highlight for us was the jamun fruit shots they were really fresh and tasty. Overall, if you want a full dining experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. But if you just want to experience the local late-night food vibe in Ahmedabad, it’s worth a quick visit.

Tried Mysore Masala Dosa, Manchurian Noodles, and Cold Coco — would rate them 1/5, 1/5, and 3/5 respectively.
The dosa was a disaster — dripping with oil, almost fried. Someone, a decade ago, probably decided to fuse sweet curd/lassi with masala dosa, and people just went along. It’s honestly the murder of authentic South Indian food. Sambhar was just average.
The noodles tasted like ₹10 roadside fare — overly salty, with small-length noodles. The Manchurian was extremely dry, halved pieces resembling soy chunks.
Every food outlet seemed to serve the same mediocre stuff, just under different names. And the crowd — chaotic, overcrowded, barely space to stand.Even Fish Market is less noisy then this place. Prices are also overhyped and unjustified for the quality offered.
For a tourist, I’d strongly recommend skipping this so-called “iconic” Manek Chowk. Ahmedabad has better and cleaner places to enjoy local flavours.

The place, you will feel like an old clean compound, where the great asabarmati pass by. I reached whe it was quiet calm, very less crowded, neat surroundings. But the government could do more. They can put a Khadi store there for outsiders, can have a stall of fresh juice, can have a ‘Goshaala’ where you get pure ghee.. government could do much more, but presently it is at outskirts of a big city with less development reached. Anyway worth of a single visit.

Nestled on the banks of the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad (with a wide access now created from the Sabarmati Riverfront project), the Sabarmati Ashram stands as a pillar of India’s freedom movement and the personal abode of Mahatma Gandhi from 1917 to 1930. Founded by Gandhi, the ashram served not only as his residence but as the nerve-centre of the Non-Violent Civil Disobedience Campaigns, including the 1930 Salt March. The simple, humble buildings and open spaces reflect Gandhi’s ideals of truth, simplicity, self-reliance and community life.
A standout architectural element of the ashram is its museum complex – the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya – designed by legendary architect Charles Correa and completed in 1963. Correa imbued the museum with a vernacular modernism: modular 6 m × 6 m units arranged around courtyards and water-bodies, brick piers, stone floors, tiled roofs and wooden louvre screens all deliberate to reflect ‘swadeshi’ materials and climatic responsiveness. The museum architecture draws inspiration from the layout of village houses in Gujarat’s Banni region and is designed for incremental growth, symbolic of a ‘living institution’.
In recent years, the ashram has entered a major new phase: the central and Gujarat governments have rolled out a masterplan for a ₹1,200 crore redevelopment project that will expand the ashram precinct from the current 5 acres to around 55 acres, encompassing 36 existing buildings for conservation, restoration or redevelopment. The plan includes new visitor-orientated amenities such as an orientation centre, interactive workshops on charkha spinning, handmade paper, cotton weaving, a library and archives, and multilingual interpretive exhibits.
Together, the ashram’s historic legacy, Correa’s architecture and the sweeping redevelopment project combine to make Sabarmati Ashram not just a preserved heritage site but an evolving memorial that aims to communicate Gandhi’s values to future generations in a holistic, immersive way.
This is my second visit after fifteen years. During my first visit I spent about three hours at the place going through each and every display. On the River front things were not so well organised.
Now the place looks aged and lacks maintenance. The river front is now totally revamped and looks very inviting. Construction work for the new museum has started and may be, after couple of years it will again be a place to visit.

Kankaria Carnival is an annual week-long cultural festival organised in last week of December since 2008. The festival include art, dance and music performances, social awareness programmes, games and activities for children.

The architecture of the monument was breathtaking. Every person eho saw that will wonder how can these type of things will make. The carvings on the pillars and the walls. It can't be described.
There is specific boards which explains the history of the monument. It will help the visitors to know and see the monument.
The surroundings of the monument was little bit mess. There is cow dung every where ehich makes the visitors uncomfortable.

I recently visited Adalaj Ni Vav ( Adalaj Stepwell), and it was truly an unforgettable experience! I spent hours exploring and learning about its history - it’s amazing to think about how it was constructed so many centuries ago!

However, be prepared for crowds, especially during weekends or holidays—it’s clearly a popular spot for both tourists and locals. Despite that, it’s totally worth the visit for the beauty and heritage it offers.

A very fine example of craftsmanship in stone and the art of building Step wells. Structure is well preserved and offers a glimpse of architectural mastery of the age. It is a five storied structure with intricate carvings adoring the walls and ceilings. At the ground level structure is protected by a thick boundary wall and there are steps in multiple directions to get into the well.
The Adalaj Stepwell (Rudabai Stepwell) is a magnificent five-story architectural marvel built in 1499, which holds the poignant history of Queen Rudabai who ensured its completion after her husband's death before tragically ending her own life. The well's intricate carvings, including detailed ornamentation and mythological scenes across its galleries, showcase exquisite craftsmanship and create a truly atmospheric subterranean space. Its stunning geometry and interplay of light and shadow make it a perfect, visually rich location for heritage photography.

We went to the Asian's biggest temple of lord Shree Ganesha during summer vacation. It makes up from the mountain and cave structured temple makes me feel like I'm on an adventure! It was a blissful and great experience with family and friends both. I liked the Prasadam arrangement, entering the temple, various Ganesha's sculptures across the world there.

Sri Sidhi Vinayaka Devasthala is a unique and beautiful temple, known for holding the record of being the biggest Ganesha-shaped temple. The architecture and premises are really impressive and well maintained.
I visited during Ganesha Chaturthi, so it was quite crowded and took around 30 minutes in line. The temple is properly managed and clean, with a food court and even a small game zone for kids, which makes it family-friendly. Overall, a very nice spiritual and cultural spot to visit in Ahmedabad.

Shri Siddhi Vinayak Devasthan which is located in Mehmadabad. It is very beautiful and stands out in terms of design because the shape of the temple is made like the shape of Ganpati Bappa's face. This temple is two-storeyed, in which the temple of Ganpati Bappa is on the second floor, the temple of Mahadev on the first floor and the shopping area on the ground floor. This temple is open from 6 am to 10 pm. There is also a food court where you can eat whatever you want, in which South Indian, Punjabi, Chinese and Gujarati and fast food are available. But there is nothing good to eat here. There is also a very large space for parking outside. Many people also do their own vows here. In which you have to bring your own wheat and make it upside down near the temple and after the vow is completed, you have to come back to the temple and make a straight vow from the wheat.
Very good temple to visit in the weekend.

One of India's pride has always been Amul. It has held a place in every Indian's heart. Witnessing the home at Anand and being given a friendly tour, at absolutely no cost is what makes this place a must visit. The food plaza is also a must visit after the industrial tour.

All in one place for all amul lovers. Each and every product of amul is made over here. Anand is also known as amul city as the biggest industry in anand is of amul. Here you will get each and every product line of amul, ice cream, choclates, e.t.c. The only thing to be noted is that you will get everything on the same rates as you get on retail shops, no advantage of factory outlet.

Variety of best chocolates are available and I love the most is the dark chocolate. There is few issue of parking but you may find few space to park your vehicle. Do visit once if you are in the town of milk city.
They use real and fresh amul products right from the factory. I had this oreo shake. It had a gigantic scoop of cookies and cream ice-cream.

The development has happened in last ten 10 years to reduce the congestion in the road. However noting has changed much since it is opposite to RS, still traffic can't be managed. However infrastructure is better than old one. The bus station is very spacious with a large waiting area. Many small stalls & branded shop are available for shopping along with known food stalls. There are entertainment zones, shopping zones, exhibition zones, food zones available for passangers. The state owned public transport facilities provided by GSRTS. The parking area is good & well maintained.
Wonderfully built and thoughtfully designed place. And you get all the flexibility in bus schedules because all bus routes available at all times. No complaint. Wherever you want to go, you can have a ride in time. Volvo, sleeper and all. Inquiry response is also straightforward and clean. Waiting space is so neat and impeccable... Plus food is good, too 😍
Very nice Bus stand. Maintenance can be improved more but I will give it 5 stars as it is very well managed. Buses are running on time, very good sitting arrangement, lots of shops for eatries, washrooms are clean. However it could be made a world class station by making it more clean and organized.
This is one of the most crowded bus depots in the state, only behind gitamandir bus depot in Ahmedabad. This is one of the busiest also. Buses from almost across the state comes here.
The main place to catch GSRTC buses to various places in Gujarat and some places in Rajasthan, Madhya pradesh and Maharashtra. Cleanliness is being maintained by the staff. There are outlets selling food and other stuffs here.
One of the Best State transport Bus depo of India. Neat and clean bus station. Lots of hygienic food outlets are there. Excellent sitting arrangement.
Spot reservation and volvo bus booking can be done here. Toilets are clean. Stay arrangement is available with dormitory facility. Luggage clock room service is available.

This palace was built in 1890 in the Indo-Saracenic style. It is said that this palace is four times larger than Buckingham Palace! Its huge doors, beautiful windows and intricate carvings will amaze you.
Interior splendor:
The interior work of the palace is truly amazing. The flooring, exotic tiles, murals and colorful glass windows of the 'Darbar Hall' are a sight to behold. The museum section houses a collection of rare items and weapons of the Gaekwad family, which will take you back in time.
Vast grounds:

I have visited this palace many times, and every time I am happy to see the maintenance here. An audio guide facility is also available to explain the art and history inside to the tourists, which is very helpful. This is a special place for families, history lovers and architecture students.

Photography enthusiasts should visit here early in the morning or before sunset.
It was the best experience ever.. such a nice palace Laxmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara..A good, nice palace with equally huge gardens and its own golf course.. they have cricket academy also.. and LVP garba is most famous in here.. Though only a very very small part of the entire palace is open for public display. They have good AV and give you the Device with earphones to listen to the entire history & details about the Palace, its history, Royal Family and many things. It goes on and on for more than 2 hrs. However, we took 1 hour to explore whole palace.. They have a nice small cafe inside..

There are some places in the premises that needs a lot of restoration and the exterior needs some renovation work and painting.
It rained a lot that day so we had to rush back from the lawn area.

Beautiful place to visit. No regrets. It takes 2 hours to fully explore the palace. The audio guide is included in the ticket. So keep your tickets safely and don't lose them. To collect the audio guide show your ticket in the office administration and tell them the preferred language. The first point of the start of the palace is the statue near the Golf lawn. Don't miss the painting which is at the exit, before that you have to submit the audio guide and take sign.

It's is nice place to visit. Their is a zoo, lots of different gardens and meusium. Also you can enjoy joy train which take tour of whole garden. If you are planning to visit the whole garden then you can visit from morning so you can timidly visit each place without rush. It is a good place to visit in vadodara. It has lot of greenery and beautiful flower gardens you will really enjoy it. However zoo requires little maintenance and cleanness.
This is free garden but for viewing zoo, there is fee of Rs.80, quite big area covered, lot of Space, plenty trees, enough seating places, walking strip from which you can scroll through. This Garden is in Vadodara & easily accessible & available in the heart of city.

Only negative is that there’s a buggy car with 20 INR per person ride, since no one around they took 100 INR for us 3 as no one was taking buggy.
On asking how many minutes, counter lady told 15/18 minutes and once we sat on buggy, in exactly 9 minutes he got us back. We felt cheated but they didn’t bother.
Toy Train also had big waiting for train parked and lots of kids and family disappointed
The Sayaji garden is having a very big distance walking track to enjoy morning people from nearby areas preferably visit here for morning and evening walk. The park is fully filled with different fruit and flowers plants in the Garden area. This was a great experience to visit this place.The sayaji garden area having very big watch which shows accurate timing . I am very happy and prefer to visit this Garden at the time of weekends with kid.

The EME Temple was built in 1966 by the Electronics & Mechanical Engineers (EME) School of Indian Army and is maintained and run by the Army in Vadodara city of Gujarat.
Temple has 108 major archaeological stone statues circa 600-1600 CE of various Hindu deities. The statues are placed in various open spaces of the temple and attract a large number of students of architecture and archaeological studies.
Out of respect, we didn't click any pics instead of the temple.
1. The guards were very polite and humble to talk to.
2. There are many sculptures, and I request people not to touch them.
3. The gurudwara is one of its kind. Do not miss it.
4. Peaceful and very well maintained place.
5. You have to submit your identity proof. They will return it once you are done with your exit. There is no charge or fees.

The temple is unique with main deity as Dakshineshwar Shiva in form of Shiv Murti (rather than linga). The temple is located within the premises maintained by Indian Army and hence entry is regulated where you need to carry an Identity Card (License, PAN, Aadhar or such). Needless to mention that being maintained by Army it is very clean and crowd is managed well. The temple premises have various small shrines of multiple gods, Navgraha, Ganpati, Sai Baba, Buddha, etc.

EME (Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Temple) or also known as Dakshinamurthy temple is under the preservense of EME. Hence one of the groupember must submit Photo ID proof with number of person taking entry and vehicle details. After that they'll allow you to take your vehicle in. If you are riding 2 wheeler, helmet is cumpolsary for all travellers otherwise you need to park outside the entry point and go by walk.
Temple timing: 5:30 am to 08:30 pm.
Dress code: Modest clothing that covers the shoulders, chest, and knees.

Quite nice lake, clean & well maintained. The Sur sagar lake is in the heart of City of Vadodara, Gujarat. The walking strip is really very good & you can take quite a big lap of whole lake. Sur sagar lake looks stunning at night as golden lord Shiva statue glows giving scenic view. If you visit at night then try Lakhoti soda which taste yummy.
As I have visited here today and it's my first day in Vadodara, Gujarat, I am impressed by the people here. I visited the Sur Sagar Lake, and I can definitely say that everybody must visit this place as it helps you feel relaxed. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset views from here and also spend some valuable time with your loved ones. Additionally, there are lots of food stalls nearby, so I suggest you must visit this place.Also there is a hold plated lord Shiva idol in the centre of the lake.

Had an amazing one-day picnic with friends at Zanjari Waterfall! 🌿💦 The place is absolutely beautiful, especially during the monsoon season — truly a must-visit. The waterfall looks stunning, but do stay away from getting too close to the water during monsoon as the flow is very strong and can be risky.
We enjoyed some hot Maggi near the waterfall which made the experience even better. There were also camel rides nearby, which added a fun touch to the trip. You can also visit the Utkanteshwar Mahadev Temple, which is close by and worth seeing.
One small tip: carry your own snacks and drinking water, as there are no major restaurants on the way to the waterfall.
Overall, it was a wonderful day out in nature, and I’d highly recommend this spot for a short getaway with family or friends. 🌧️🌲

Do carry an ample supply of drinking water and food, as there are no shops or refreshment stalls available in the vicinity. The area is largely untouched and remote, which adds to its charm but also calls for basic preparation.
Be prepared for a moderate trek of approximately 3-4 kilometers. The walk through nature is truly rejuvenating, though certain sections of the path can become quite slippery due to rain, so proper footwear is strongly recommended. A camel ride is available near the entry point and adds a unique, enjoyable element to the visit especially for families or those looking for something different.

Visited Zanzari Waterfall during the rainy season and it was a beautiful experience 🌿💦
The walk to reach the waterfall is quite long, but if you don’t want to walk much, you can also take a camel ride – I paid ₹400 for 2 people. The place feels very refreshing and peaceful once you reach the falls.

👉 Things to keep in mind: Be ready for a bit of walking, carry water, and wear comfortable shoes.
Such beautiful view and this place is for those people who likes to track because you have to travel by walk approximately 2/2.5 km from vehicle parking and as per name waterfall was not so much big but i think this was a peaceful location to enjoy. A very peaceful and enjoyable place for one day trip, can spend the whole day in the nature then go there, just don’t go very near to the waterfall as there have been many accidents in the past where people have lost their lives. But if you stay safely then its a very good place to be at. Loved the vibe also you can get Maggie there as well. Village people will be there selling Maggie and tea. Avoid taking the camle ride coz it’s not that far from the parking lot.

Beautiful ambience! The rocks on the river Mahi is really a place where one can enjoy the flowing waters.
Located 16 km from Dakor town. It is a Shiva temple of the Solanki period. Situated on the sangam of the rivers Mahi and Galati where it is said lived Galav Muni Chandrahaas of Puranic fame.
At present the lovely rocky bank of Mahi and the beautiful old Shiva temple on it has one spring of the River Galati, that constantly sprinkling water on the Shiva linga. Rich in art and architecture, it has a unique eight-sided hall. The walls have carved figures of Gods, gandharvas, humans, rishis, horse riders, elephant riders, chariots, doli and the events of the human life, that is from birth to death, all are depicted in these carvings.
The temple is the Monument of National Importance and protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.
The shikhara as well as the mandapa of the temple collapsed in 1908. The restoration of shikhara was completed by ASI in September 2021.
The Galteshwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, located at Sarnal village near Dakor in Kheda district, Gujarat, India. The 12th century temple is unique in its style and of its period because it is built in central Indian Malwa style, bhumija, without influence of Paramara architecture and with influence of Gujarati Chaulukya architecture. This place is like a heaven. During raining 🌧️ the surrounding nature is looks very beautiful.
🚫 Some devotees do not pay attention on cleaness and they throw different types of polythene bags, plastic bottles, papers etc. on foot steps.
There is not too many wastage basket for waste storage. Temple authority and Gujarat government should pay attention on cleaness and waste management issues on this place. There should be cleaness awareness poster on some places.
It is very old temple of Mahakali Mata. It is developed during the period of 2020 to 2024. New constructed temple is very spacious.
The idol of Mahakali was installed in the 11‑12th century, with renovations over time under different dynasties and rulers.
The temple is part of the Champaner‑Pavagadh Archaeological Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It is spiritual place with beutiful view. Ropeway facility is there with online booking. Private car and government buses are there for travling from parking to machi and from machi you can reach to the temple by ropeway.

🚗 Reaching the Temple:
On weekdays, you can drive your own vehicle directly up to the temple parking area.
On weekends, private vehicles are not allowed beyond Pavagarh bus stop. You’ll need to take a bus from there to the temple base.

Excellent experience - both spiritual and for the view. Current one has to climb about 300-400 steps to reach the temple despite taking the ropeway. But it appears that this ropeway is being extended to almost the top just near the temple and only a few steps will remain to be climbed. The darshan was easy, the view mesmerising and the experience elevating.
Went there after many years, Nice Aarti of evening, only by Mantra chanting, no other Noise Pollution like dhol, nagada ghant(bell) , and loud speakers. Nice peaceful aarti and Place, No chaos, Full of supportive people's and Mandir Staff.

I had a wonderful time at the Balasinor Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Gujarat. It's a fantastic, highly informative place that's great for both kids and adults. Anyone who loves learning and discovering new things about dinosaurs should definitely visit. It's a must-see! My family and I really enjoyed our visit. We're very grateful to Gujarat Tourism and the Gujarat government for creating such a wonderful place.
I recently visited the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Rayoli as part of a bike riding trip with friends. The park is a great destination for school trips and families with kids. It offers a decent educational experience, showcasing the history of dinosaurs through projector displays and exhibits.
There’s also a 5D theatre that aims to give an immersive experience of the dinosaur era. While it was an interesting addition, it didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of quality and excitement.
One major downside was the way the actual dinosaur fossils were stored — they seemed to be kept in a rather neglected and poorly maintained area, which was disappointing considering the importance of the artifacts.
Overall, it's a nice spot for a quick visit, especially for children and school groups, but there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of presentation and maintenance. I’d rate it around 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Recently visited the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Balasinor, about 2.5 hours' drive from Ahmedabad, and it was an eye-opening experience. It’s incredible to see the actual fossil remains and dinosaur bones from what was once one of the largest dinosaur nesting sites in the world. Kids who love dinosaurs really enjoy this place. It has amusements and a good number of statutes for various dinosaurs. It ads knowledge for those who want to learn the history. 5D show and VR were also good ( could have been better), but good considering economy ticket prices.. good for one time visit and you can spend 1.5 to 2 hours here with kids and family..
We visited the Balasinor Dinosaur Fossil Park just 2 days back with family, and it was an amazing experience — especially for kids!
Located in Raiyoli village near Balasinor, Gujarat, this place is famously known as the "Jurassic Park of India." It is recognized as one of the world's largest dinosaur hatcheries, where over 10,000 fossilized dinosaur eggs have been discovered. Even now, excavations often uncover new fossils and remains.
The park has several sections showcasing the history of dinosaurs through 3D presentations, information kiosks, and well-curated displays. The 5D show and VR experience were the best part of the visit — thoroughly enjoyable for both kids and adults!
There are also food stalls, ample parking space, and souvenir shops with dinosaur-themed products for children.
Entry Fee: ₹70 per person. (Other fees are there like 5D,VR etc, overall 400 rs)
Overall, it's a perfect one-day outing spot for families — educational, fun, and unique. If you're visiting Gujarat, this place is definitely worth adding to your itinerary!
Nice place for one time visit. It's one of the three fossil parks in the world. But not maintained at all. No value of this precious fossils in open area. Museum is also very well made but not maintained like that. Washrooms are not very much cleaned. 5d theatre and chairs also not maintained. Waste of money in 5d & VR tickets.

They have only 2 or 3 VR set and most of the time on charging and waiting period is approx 2-3 hour for that, 3D film quality is very low. They have shop at exit point, shop is okay okay type. Good place for children not for adults hang out

Visiting Pavagadh Hills is truly a memorable experience for any spiritual traveler or adventure seeker. The journey combines spirituality, nature, and a touch of thrill with the ropeway ride.
The ropeway facility is fairly good and earns a solid 4 out of 5. The cable cars are modern, safe, and offer a scenic ride over lush green forests and rocky hills. However, the waiting area at the ropeway station could be much better organized. During weekends or holidays, queues get long, and there’s hardly any proper waiting zone to relax while standing in line. So, patience is required!
Important tip: Even if you take the ropeway, remember, you still have to climb around 500–600 steps to reach the main temple. So, come prepared with comfortable footwear and stay hydrated.
But once you reach the top, the views are simply breathtaking. The panoramic sight of the surrounding hills and forests makes the entire climb worth it. And when you finally reach the sanctum for Mataji’s darshan, all your tiredness magically disappears. There’s an unexplainable peace and divine energy at the temple that refreshes you instantly.
For food, the temple trust runs an Annakshatra dining hall near the temple, offering satvik Gujarati bhojan for just ₹20 per person. It’s simple, tasty, and feels heavenly after the tiring journey.
If you have some extra time, you can visit Dudhiya Lake which is located near the temple. It’s a small, peaceful spot but frankly, it’s just okay compared to the stunning natural beauty you witness on the hills.
Additional tips:
• Ropeway tickets can be booked both online and offline, but if your plan is fixed, book online. Online booking allows direct access from the parking area, saving time and energy.
• Parking charges for a car are ₹100 for the first 6 hours, which is reasonable given the facilities provided.

I love it my experience was so nice hills slop wadiyaan roopeway it's better to visit in winter and rainy season because I visited in summer feels very heavy very nice place to track with friends family and also nice spot for picnic I reccomend to all to visit in I enjoyed so much
The experience of seeing Mataji was very nice. There are about 2000 steps. If you don't want to climb the steps, there is also a ropeway. However, if it is a holiday, there is a long line for it. The rest is a very nice and religious place.

Hathni Mata Temple is a serene and picturesque destination, especially during the monsoon season. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts, offering a tranquil retreat from the fast-paced urban life. The temple of Lord Shiva nearby adds to the spiritual ambiance. While it may not be advisable to visit during the monsoon due to lack of waterfalls, visiting in other seasons offers a quiet and peaceful experience. The friendly locals add to the welcoming atmosphere.
Totally recommended place for hiking lovers.
But never go there as a single person, always go with a group, or minimum 3 people.
The reason for not going alone is, the place is very spooky, initially during the day I am very sure you would not feel it, but as the evening hours start you would feel it, and trust me when I say that.
Also the rocks might hurt you when you go in the waterfall beside the temple, so always wear your footwear while going in the water.
BRIEF OF THE TEMPLE: The temple stone is in the shape of an elephant, and therefore it is called hathni mata. Beside the holy stone is another stone in the shape of a turtle, all of it is made from a single stone.
NOTE: The waterfall is not available for 12 months, only in the monsoon season you will be able to see the rushing flow of water and green land else it's just rocks and trees, good for mountaineers

The waterfalls are good! Beautiful experience. However the services are pathetic! The toilets are dirty! Wonder why would government not create infrastructure at picnic spots with such nice beautiful waterfall... Roads are narrow! During monsoon plan trip to start your journey back home by 2pm as narrow roads and soft land could cause issues for car getting stuck. 2 hrs is good enough time! Must go but with group

The place have some sharp rocks and some area have deep downfalls so be careful with bear foot. The water level is very low in most of waterfall so it's considered safe and good place.
I think off monsoon season is not the beat choice to visit this place. I visited this place in feb 2021, there id no waterfall but he place was very quiet and peacefull. Also got the chance to see mataji very closely and to click a lot of pics. Local peoples are also very friendly and helpful. Our route was started from pavagarh , so the road was passing through a jungle , which scared my wife but i was having too much fun.We are planning ti visit again in monsoon season, then i will update you again.
Hii...Hathini Mata waterfall is not as good as shown in many pictures or videos yes you can see that views when there is heavy rainfall but worthy visiting place. One route is through the forest where you can see many signboard with pictures including hyena and cheeta..but overall place is just ok not as good as should be. This place has a temple known as hathini mata temple and is good place for religious people...Thank you very much🙂

Hathni mata waterfall caters really rejuvenating experience . Best time to visit is during monsoon.
From month of July to November end . It can be really enjoyable trip during Diwali . It is 80 kms aways from Baroda . Roads are also paved .

From Bus Stand for it. Must watch place.

Beautiful and very spacious garden, well maintained and situated in the Sailana city. It is having lots of cactus plants in various designs, shape and sizes. Clean and calm place, very cozy, comforting and great views of greenery.
Tickets need to be taken for entering the garden. No need for advance ticket booking, you can buy it at the entrance of the garden and palace. No rush , no long waiting and very less crowded and very easy to locate place. Plenty of parking available for car and bikes so no need to worry about parking as well.
The Cactus Garden in Sailana is a unique and interesting place. It houses thousands of cactus species from around the world. Peaceful and green, it's a great spot for nature lovers and definitely worth a visit.

Brathari Cave is a nice place to visit if you enjoy history and spirituality. The atmosphere is peaceful, but the cave is not very well maintained and facilities are limited. It’s good for a short visit, but not something that stands out as a must-see.
Caves are ok.
They are very small. Do not rush into the caves when lot of people are there. It get a bit suffocating when too many people.
Be patient and wait for your turn.
The more calm and composed you are the more fun you will have.
Bhartrihari Gufa (Caves) is a famous spiritual and historical site in Ujjain, associated with the great sage Maharishi Bhartrihari, the elder brother of King Vikramaditya of Ujjain.
He became a disciple of Guru Gorakhnath (Nath sect) and spent the rest of his life in meditation in these caves.
Inside, there are small shrines dedicated to Bhartrihari, Guru Gorakhnath, and other Nath yogis.
The atmosphere is peaceful, attracting saints, sadhus, and devotees throughout the year.
