It was a lovely day out. The water that surrounds the inflatables is very deep and in order to get on to the inflatables u have to swim through it as there is no bridge or anything. My 6 and 11 years old where not comfortable enough to swim to there and we ended up not going which was a big disappointment and waste of money. My daughter however got on it just fine and had amazing time on the inflatables.

Really pretty reservoir that is very large. There are multiple car parks depending on what side you want to be on. We went on a Saturday late morning and it was sunny, if windy. Not busy. We went to the car park where people go for water sports, wind surfing etc. Parking is £2 every hour until a certain point. You can use the pay machines to pay on exit. You can pay with card. The gates are locked at 7pm. It's a family friendly environment. You can walk on various trails, round the reservoir, or through wooded parts. We didn't see many birds but there are bird watching stations. Some people are fishing and have designated zones. You can also go in the water in certain places, or go on a boat ride. The place is kept clean and is peaceful. The water is nice and blue. Very calming atmosphere. We went on a walk from our car park, across to two other car parks, and racked up 12km. There are a lot of people cycling, and you can hire bicycles. You are also allowed to barbecue in certain places. Toilets are at each car park location and kept clean. There are some places or cafes to eat, too. Not every location has the same things e.g., if you'd like a gift shop, make sure to check which car park to be at.

Very relaxing environment. I'd recommend getting there early as it can get pretty busy during peak times. Such a lovely Botanical gardens. Rather large nursery with wide range of plants hidden behind the cafe too. Love this place

As a distant relative of the Jordan family (great grand mother Marion Dorothy Jordan) this was the first time I had the chance to visit Holme Mill. We arrived early and booked a tour which left us enough time to sit in the sun next the millpond and have some breakfast, which was delicious. The tour was really informative and allowed me to see pictures and learn more about my ancestors as well as the incredible feat of engineering that the mill is. The tour guide was really knowledgable and all the staff from the cafe to the shop were lovely friendly people.

Second time visiting the spa. First time was 12 years ago and would definitely return. The place is very clean and well looked after. Love the pool (even though it was a bit cooler than expected) such a nice atmosphere here. Had a lovely himalayan hot stone massage and facial. The heated beds to sit on beforehand were a lovely touch. Parking is fine, staff great. Recommend getting the gown and towel package, definitely made the difference.

What an absolutely lovely afternoon we had with yourselves. Your staff were very nice and very polite. Lots of parking. The different lavenders were lovely to see, smell and pick. The benches strategically placed at the top of the lavender lanes was an excellent resting stop. My only complaint was paying £10 for four cans of coke and £6 for a tea & coffee was a little steep but otherwise, a great time was had by all.

This place is a complete bundle of joy for the whole family - the extreme close encounters at the animal barns to start with, massive adventure playground and sand play areas, go karts, golf park and to top it all - a giant soft play well curated for the little senses, this place had got something to offer for everyone. A must visit for the whole family attending throughout the year. We visited them at the family Pumpkin Nights festival and it had so much fun to offer - marshmallow toasting, access to the entire park exclusively at the evening, lights and glow events at the show barn and silent disco. It was overall an unforgettable experience and extremely hard for little to leave the place after such fun hours of play and entertainment

Day trip to Cliveden to visit the gardens and enjoy a long walk through the woods and by the Thames with a friend. Saw lots of nature - red kites, deer, goslings, ducklings and a cormorant. Had a lovely rhubarb and rosemary scone at the Conservatory Cafe and loved the water gardens. Spent the whole day and still didn’t manage to see everything. The house wasn’t open to the public when we visited as it’s a hotel - would recommend checking National Trust website before visiting if you want to go inside. It’s very hilly climbing back to the house from the riverside but worth it for all the views.

One of the most beautiful houses we have ever visited. The trip here was made so much more special by Dermot. A huge thank you for making us feel so welcome Dermot. We felt like we got the VIP treatment, you are a wonderful asset to such a magnificent house, it was a pleasure to meet you. The staff make this place. They are incredibly kind and have a wealth of knowledge. It was not busy at all when we visited which added to the charm. It’s also impeccably kept. We did the wood walk after we visited the house which I would also recommend. I was so impressed I’ll be telling everyone to visit.

We visited for a day trip to the farm and their 100 Aker wood walk. The farm is clean and nicely spaced out. The animals were clearly well fed and looked after well. One of our highlights was the smiling goat! My 4 year old soon was amazed and loved visiting the houses of Eeyore, pooh and the others. He was a exciting walk from one house to the next with cute little stories and the trial book made it a little more fun. He left a letter for pooh and is hoping he will write back as he wasn't home when he visited. Would recommend a day trip here and would likely return. The cafe was reasonably priced and the food was great. The even make home made chips. The staff were all friendly and welcoming across the site as well.

Another great day out, there was plenty to see and do. All the animals looked well cared for and fed. It was amazing how close you felt you were to some of animals. Including the lions and the sun bear. The glass so clean it was like it wasn't there. The shops were responsibly priced and depending on your budget they had plenty to choose from. The food was nice and was a generous portion. Overall we had an amazing day would I would happily return.

Pets corner has long been the favourite on thousands of children across Harlow and beyond. They have a great selection of classic farmyard animals that are all clearly happy and well cared for, as well as a variety of more exotic ones including owls, snakes, fish, axolotls and many more - most recently they have added a large new enclosure with meerkat and a giant tortoise. A must enjoy for children of all ages and an asset to the community.

Lee Valley White Water Centre is an absolutely fantastic destination for water adventure lovers! We went for white water rafting, and the experience was thrilling from start to finish. The staff are well-trained, friendly, and make sure everyone stays safe while having fun. They also offer great membership options for regular users – perfect if you’re planning to go often. We noticed some excellent offers for families and friends, making it more affordable to enjoy as a group. It’s also a brilliant place to celebrate birthday parties, especially for teens or adults who love an adrenaline rush. The facilities are clean, well-organised, and there’s even a nice café on-site for relaxing after your adventure. Highly recommended for a fun-filled and energetic day out! 💦🚣‍♂️

I have such fond memories of the Natural History Museum from school trips and visits over the years. I’ve been several times as an adult too, with friends, family, and visitors to London, it’s always a wonderful experience. The main attraction is, of course, the incredible dinosaur displays, which never fail to impress. There’s so much to see and do, from fascinating exhibits to a beautiful garden outside that’s well worth exploring. Entry is free, and there are plenty of cafés and places to eat and drink inside. I’d definitely say this is a must visit for anyone coming to London, especially if you have children who love dinosaurs, it’s truly amazing.

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is one of the most impressive museums I’ve ever visited. It’s a celebration of art, design, and human creativity from across the world. The building itself is stunning, and every gallery feels thoughtfully arranged. You can easily spend hours exploring everything from fashion and textiles to sculpture, jewellery, photography, and furniture. One of the highlights is the fashion collection, which shows how style has evolved over centuries. The sculpture galleries are equally captivating, with pieces from ancient times to modern artists. The museum does an excellent job of combining history with contemporary design, making it both educational and inspiring. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, and the museum is well signposted, which helps when navigating such a large space. Entry is free, though some special exhibitions require tickets. The café and gift shop are also worth visiting for a quick break or a unique souvenir. Overall, the Victoria and Albert Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in art, culture, or history. Absolutely wonderful place to visit. We only had very limited time in London but this was somewhere we wanted to visit as we wanted to keep our costs low. The museum is free to enter but donations are welcomed. Firstly, the place is enormous. Various exhibitions are available with literally hundreds of things to look at, probably even thousands. It goes without saying that the place is very popular and often very busy so if you don't like crowds, do some research about your visit before you go. We spent a lot of time looking at the Egyptian exhibitions as my wife is very interested in that particular part of history but we did also wander around the Greek, Roman and middle Eastern parts as well. Both of us agreed that we would come back to visit but would definitely spend a whole day there as we felt rushed. There are places to grab a drink and a snack inside the museum as well, which is very welcome. It is worth noting that while backpacks are allowed, luggage is not. The shops nearby do offer a luggage storage solution.

I had a great time attending Buckingham palace! The grounds were stunning and I even got to see a short performance from the guards. The landscaping and fountains were the highlight for me. The self-guided tour inside was great too. Buy your ticket in advance to pick your preferred time.

A beautiful and inspiring place. The collection is world-class — from Renaissance masters to Impressionists — and it’s amazing that entry is free. The galleries are spacious and well organized, with helpful information about each painting. I also appreciated the quiet spots where you can just sit and enjoy the art. It can get busy in popular rooms, but overall it’s an unforgettable visit for any art lover.

Big Ben Tour – Inside the Elizabeth Tower Visiting the Elizabeth Tower might just be one of the best things you can do in London. Getting tickets, however, is the real challenge — plan ahead and try to book about six months in advance, checking the website regularly. No photos are allowed inside, which is a bit of a shame, but completely understandable. The climb is 334 steps up a narrow spiral staircase with just a simple metal railing, so this is not an experience for those with mobility issues or severe fear of heights. The first stretch is about 110 steps, with the rest broken into slightly shorter climbs and two rest stops along the way. Windows are few and far between, so you won’t have many chances to look outside during the climb. At the top, you’ll visit the belfry and see the Great Bell — Big Ben itself — up close. You’ll be there as the clock strikes the hour, with protective ear coverings provided to save your hearing from the thunderous chimes. You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at the clock mechanism and stand behind the famous clock faces before beginning the descent, which is once again split into sections with rest stops. Lockers are provided for your belongings, as nothing may be carried with you, and open-toed shoes are not allowed. The guides are fantastic — full of history, fun facts, and fascinating details about the tower and its clock. In the end, this is an unforgettable tour: fun, educational, a little bit challenging, and absolutely worth every step.

Whether it’s your first time in London or your tenth, the London Eye is something you should do at least once — a stunning and memorable way to see the city from a new perspective.

Amazing! This was one of my favorite tours while in london. We bought our tickets which cost about $48. Place was packed. There is a cafe and a small gift shop inside, bathrooms of course. I would plan on spending at least 2 hours here if not 3. And then of course there's the crown jewels that speak for themselves. So much history here and so much to see I loved everything about this!

Tower Bridge is absolutely stunning! One of the best spots to visit in London — the views of the River Thames are amazing. The exhibition is interesting and gives a good idea of how the bridge works. Everything was clean and well-managed. Definitely a must-visit when you’re in London!

This is a beautifully picturesque and outstanding WWT Reserve near Arundel with a host of things to see and do including Wetland Discovery Boat Safari, Wildlife Hides, Wetland Secrets House, Waterside Walk, Pelican Cove, Coastal Creek Aviary and Reedbed Boardwalk. The Wetland Discovery Boat Safari is an absolutely fantastic and beautiful peaceful ride on a boat through one of the many waterways at the reserve and these boat rides cost an extra £3 per person on top of the base admission fee into the reserve, which is extremely reasonable and during the boat rides you can admire the beautiful waterways of the reserve and also see wildlife such as Mute Swans, Pike and Mallard Ducks and there is a great narration from the boatman on what wildlife there is to see. The boat safaris run at various times intervals throughout the day and information is available at the reception with regard this. The boat safari is a lovely wonderful relaxing experience. There are great some walks around the reserve where you can admire some fantastic picturesque views of the reserve and the local area and during your walk around the reserve you can wander into the various hides such as the Lapwing hide and Sandmartin hide where you can catch a great glimpse of the ponds but also see Sandmartins, Canada Geese, Tufted Ducks and Pochards. There is a Duckery where you can see some further Wetland Birds including Emperor Geese, Hawaian Geese, Swan Ducks and Mandarin Ducks which look in great condition and well looked after. There is the Pelican Cove where you can see Dalmatian Pelicans which look wonderfully imposing and look amazing on the eye and there is talk and feed of the Pelicans where you can learn further interesting facts about them and also seeing them being fed is a great sight to see. The Wetland Secret Plant House you can see and smell some Wildflowers that are on display in there and it gives off a great wild aroma. In the Coastal Creek Aviary you can see Eider Ducks which are great to see. There is a pond dipping area which is great for little ones to look for insects and understand nature. There is other areas to mention such as the Wildlife Garden with great plant life to see. There is a cafe on site selling a great variety of refreshments at reasonable prices and there is a nice gift shop selling a variety of souvenirs at reasonable prices. Overall this is an absolute amazing and a thoroughly outstanding place to visit, which makes for a pleasant and relaxing day out. Definitely well worth a visit whilst in Arundel.

The cathedral is beautiful. It stands above the town at the top of a hill. Lots of history and gothic architecture. It has one of the most beautiful organs i have seen! There is no entrance fee, but you make a donation.

We really enjoyed our visit. So much better that we thought it would be. We visited all parts and needed five hours to do so. The castle is stunning to see close up. The interior is vast. The gardens excellent. All very well maintained. Unlike National Trust properties all the guides are paid, not volunteers. They know the history well. The views across the countryside from the battlements and lovely. I recommend visiting. It is worth every penny of the entrance fee.

Great spot for a wee hike and ramble. Impressive views and very helpful staff at the National Trust cabin. Tried to come here before but it was mist bound. This time there was excellent weather and views.

I went here today with my father to see the Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur football match. We drove to the Mill Road Park & Ride and caught a bus to the stadium. We felt the park & ride worked incredibly well. We had tickets for The Heineken Lounge and were extremely impressed. We were welcomed and given our programmes and a drink voucher. The lounge is lovely and it was a great place to relax, have a sit down and enjoy our meal before the game. We both ordered the Albion Cheeseburger and were pleased with the generous portion. When the teams were warming up we made our way to our seats which were fantastic, we were front row on the balcony so we had a great view of the entire pitch for the whole game. The stadium is brilliant and we had a great day out, I am so glad we went!

There was more to Lewes Castle than I thought. you buy tickets in the museum and gift shop building , then a member of staff lets you into the castle it's self. There is quite a lot of stairs, so bare this in mind if you have mobility issues. once you've made the climb, there is a lot of information on the castles history. The view from the top is memorable.
