History Museums
Casa de Cervantes, located in the historical center of Valladolid, is a small museum that was once thought to be the house of the widely traveled novelist Miguel de Cervantes. The 17th-century former home features furniture displays and ornate gardens for visitors to explore.
A must for all Cervantes readers. Although quaint, the house provides a brief family history and a snapshot of living conditions of his time. I would recommend that they add books for sale, or a few souvenirs, like bookmarks.
Wes W — Google review
Popped in here just to kill time and enjoyed it. Quite small, can be done in about 15-20 mins.
Michael H — Google review
For Cervantes lovers. A well put together period place. Just bear in mind that Cervantes only lived there for 2 years and non of the artefacts on display are his.
Amit M — Google review
Luckily, at Sundays it is free entrance, but it is not worth paying. A small house, and all the titles are in Spanish and no other languages. It is very boring.
Mariam A — Google review
Very informative guide. And interesting visit. Free entry, at least on Sunday.
Mike — Google review
Very quaint place where Cervantes lived. The place is small and large groups are split into small groups.
Frank O — Google review
Real story well presented. Cervantes and his family moved to Valladolid in 1604 and they settled for one year on the first floor of this modest house. On the ground floor there was a tavern now it is a library. Great staff, well prepared and very friendly. Admission is free for everyone on Saturdays from 2.00 p.m onwards and all day Sunday.

Nature & Parks
Parque Campo Grande is the largest urban park in Valladolid, Spain, offering a charming retreat for both locals and visitors. The park features a variety of attractions including a small pond, playground, fountains, marble sculptures, and an ornamental lake with swans. Paseo Principe is a regal mall within the park adorned with iron gas lights and surrounded by lush foliage from over 60 different tree species.
Got a moment to lose yourself in a park that feels like a secret kingdom? Parque Campo Grande in Valladolid is pure enchantment! Wander its winding paths, and you’ll spot peacocks flaunting their feathers like royalty. The park’s heart hides a quirky surprise: a tiny train track where a model steam locomotive chugs along, delighting kids and adults alike it’s been running since 1989! Grab a coffee, soak in the lush greenery, and let the serene pond views melt your stress away. This place is a must for anyone craving a slice of magic.
Thomas J — Google review
Beautiful and clean. Peacocks 🦚 are lovely- especially the babies. Rose garden still flowering in October. Enjoyed sitting watching the fountain in the centre of the park.
Sharne B — Google review
A nice enough grand park, near to the train station, and I suppose near enough to EVERYTHING that this place is packed with people. So, if you are looking for a QUIET park, this is NOT THE PLACE. It is full of people, full of dogs, full of pigeons (yuck!), and also, full of peacocks!!!!! The only saving grace: peacocks haha. Other than that... just ANOTHER parque grande found in Spain.
Pecston G — Google review
This place was really lovely, it has some bio diversity and the animals are use to humans, you can feed the birds and the squirrels. Definitely a great place to visit for kids and all nature and animal lovers
Bennie B — Google review
A lovely park with many walkways and lush green trees. Numerous peacocks (& hens) are interesting and call frequently. Squirrels also hop about and are tame, especially if you have nuts! Fountains and several statues also make a walk there interesting. A roses garden adds colour in one area.
Vincent O — Google review
Lovely green space with a wide variety of birds - even peacocks - that wander around freely (they seem to be used to humans!). There are also some nice fountains, sculptures and walkways. An essential part of Valladolid as the only real park in the city centre.
Peter B — Google review
Sunday event, lots of famiky enjoying great autumn weather.
Sandra S — Google review
Beautiful park in the centre of the city full of greenery and wildlife. We saw many peacocks, males, females and babies. A lake with breeding ducks and some lovely red squirrels. Ideal for a stroll in the morning or early evening.

Sights & Landmarks
The Iglesia conventual de San Pablo (Padres Dominicos) is a stunning 15th-century Isabelline-Gothic church and former convent located in Valladolid, northwest Spain. Commissioned by Cardinal Juan de Torquemada, this historical establishment boasts an ornate facade adorned with intricate carvings depicting the royal coat of arms, animals, and religious scenes.
This is a must see building when visiting Valladolid. It is located right next to the palace and very central in the city centre. The architecture is amazing and the building is very historical. It has sculptures from 15th Century inside this building. You can also go inside the building and have a look. This is a popular place for getting married also. I would highly recommend a visit to this place.
BCL A — Google review
Super-duper place to visit. LOVE THE FACADE! This has got to be the nicest facade in Valladolid. Fabulous! if not because of the hot sun, I would have loved to admire the building longer. What an amazing piece of history Opening hours apply, even for a church, so do come at a time when it is open. Check websites. I came back LATER when it was open, just so to be able to enter. Wasnt satisfied with just the facade.
Pecston G — Google review

Close to the Museum of Escultura, this church has the most elaborate western facade, best seen around 7pm. There are so many intricate details in the carving that it's difficult to know where to point your camera.

Museums
The Museo Nacional de Escultura, located in Valladolid, Spain, is a prestigious museum housed in the historic Colegio de San Gregorio. This former church showcases an extensive collection of sculptures from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The museum is known for its remarkable polychrome wooden sculptures, featuring intricate details and vibrant colors. Visitors can admire works by renowned Spanish sculptors like Alonso Berruguete and Gregorio Fernandez.
All of the sculptures are breath-taking! The building itself is also gorgeous. It took around 2 hours for me to walk through the whole museum at a leisurely pace. Like many other reviews say, the sculptures are mainly wood carvings and religious statues. Don't come here expecting more modern pieces, there are other galleries and museums for that. If you go into the museum knowing what types of sculptures are on display, you won't be dissappointed!
Poppy H — Google review
A DEFINITE YES! Why is there no 6-star rating. Oh my goodness, this place is super duper amazing and to top it all, FREE ENTRY on SATURDAYS. Not to be missed, up close with sculptures dating way way way back, and so wonderfully preserved. The workers/volunteers are VERY helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. Top 3 sites in Valladolid, must visit.
Pecston G — Google review
There were definitely some interesting pieces - for example, the fully articulated, life-sized man - but for being the national Museum of sculpture, I was quite disappointed. Worth seeing for what it is, but keep your expectations tempered.
Orión L — Google review
In my opinion this is a must see. Very nice staff. English translation available. I wish there were more books available in English but happy with the mini-guide. Thank you
Daniela S — Google review
Great museum. All the statues are of a religious nature. The ceilings come from monasteries and abbeys around Valladolid. Beautiful art work. The staff were extremely helpful and informative.
A A — Google review
The museum is worth visiting just to see the Colegio de San Gregorio, which is a spectacular building. Otherwise the collection of religious sculptures did not really wake up my interest, but I understand that they are valuable for the local history and culture. Would be great if more information about the building (San Gregorio) and e.g. the decorative ceilings would be provided, but maybe I missed something. I payed 1,5€ for the entrance, since I received a 50% discount for presenting Renfe train ticket. Great value for money. The stuff is very kind.
Anna G — Google review
A very fine collection, these wooden sculptures are very well preserved, we visited them carefully for 2 hours.

Restaurant
Located on the ground floor of the Real Monasterio de San Joaquin y Santa Ana, La Parrilla De San Lorenzo is a charming restaurant in Valladolid. It offers a delightful dining experience with classic Castilian dishes served in a former convent adorned with roof frescoes and a brick-arch dining room. The menu features an authentic and tender lechazo, slow-cooked in an oak wood-fired oven, as well as other high-quality meat options.
I really enjoyed our trip here, it's a great atmosphere. The staff are super patient and helpful, even though they are rushing around. The starters are large (possibly too much for me). The lamb was succulent and tasty. Looking forward to going back.
Jason — Google review
Loved this place and the vibe. Sitting in an old tunnel with 5 star waiters continuously serving wine and water. And the quality of the food was really good. The meat was extremely soft and the starter and desert was also lovely. This is definitely a place to visit if you are ever in valladolid
Bennie B — Google review
The space is beautiful, old catacombs very well decorated and with amazing art on the walls. The food was really good, the lenchazo was very good and all the food was well done with a very good presentation. The staff were really nice, very friendly and always worried about us. A place I will return for sure.

My new favorite restaurant in Valladolid. Hands down, must do experience. The restaurant is right downtown and it feels like you’re eating right in a museum. I ordered the Lechazo Asado and it was made to PERFECTION. The restaurant staff was super friendly and professional and spoke both Spanish and English. Definitely recommend!
A R — Google review
A real museum with amazing old paintings and statues and the food was spectacular from the lamb meat to the fantastic desserts.

Great experience in Valladolid. Historic restaurant with paintings and wooden decorations. Very picturesque. Great cellar. Food is really good as the wine selection. Recommended cantabrico anchovies and steak.
Francesca — Google review
Excellent experience, the restaurant was beautiful, it felt like eating in a castle, the waiters and hosts were great and the food spectacular! Kudos to them I will definitely come back! Be sure you make a reservation before coming.
Marian V — Google review
Very nice experience, waiters are very -attentive, they advise you if you’re ordering too much, you also can share the portions, good spot even for kids, the restaurant is part of an old convent, so it’s labirintic rooms are quite cozy. A lovely wine cellar! Price range a bit high but you can share portions.

Tapas bar
Los Zagales, situated in the heart of Valladolid, is renowned for its inventive and whimsically presented tapas. The restaurant, housed in a traditional Spanish-style setting, offers multi-level dining and showcases award-winning creations by chef Antonio Gonzalez Garcia. Dishes like edible hand-rolled cigars made with shredded pork and sweet tomatoes or Tigretoston - black bread morcilla cooked with red onion and pork rinds - are served in imaginative ways that delight patrons.
Food is great, several different traditional tapas + awarded ones. Obama en la casa Blanca was my favorite. Recommended place!
Luis M — Google review
Interesting tapas bar out of the traditional offer, all of them served very originally as brief story where all tastes are perfectly combined and exceptionally presented. The house Ribera wine was very good as well. On the high price tag for tapas but they are well though and totally different.
MJ B — Google review
Great food. Great service. The gazpacho and salmorejo were yummy. Arroz con bogavante delicious. Pluma de cerdo braseado con salsa de bourbon was exquisite. I recommend the arroz con leche (rice pudding) for dessert. There's a menu during the week that includes dessert.

El Mercado del Trigo is a culinary gem that beautifully marries traditional flavors with contemporary cuisine. Nestled near the Cathedral, this restaurant offers an exquisite dining experience crafted by Chef Victor Martin, who skillfully blends local ingredients into innovative dishes. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Beyond its impressive menu, El Mercado del Trigo stands out as a proud holder of two Repsol Suns, showcasing its commitment to quality and excellence in gastronomy.
A really wonderful city was made even better by this fabulous restaurant which seems to pull off so many different areas well. The owner is a delight as are his staff especially Paula. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Very nice place specially for breakfast and brunch. They have some breakfast packages which includes drinks and main dish but as well there is a lot of dishes which could be ordered not included in packages. The juices are really good, they have different mixes like mango and lemon for example, those are fresh and the taste is good. Quality of the food is very good and the staff is friendly. As well they have their own are where they sell cakes, cookies, chocolates and many other things to take away, all made from very good quality of ingredients. The location of this branch is at the center of downtown so is very easy to find if you are walking around.

I recently visited the gas exhibition in Valladolid and would like to share my impressions of the venue. Getting to the exhibition center was very convenient – several buses go directly to the site, and it’s only a few stops from the train station. The building itself is spacious and comfortable for large events. However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. There weren't enough dedicated spaces for work or meeting rooms for business discussions, which made it a bit challenging for networking. Another downside is the lack of outdoor seating areas. Overall, it's a convenient location, but with a few shortcomings for those attending on business.
Roman V — Google review
Wonderful coffee shop offering a variety of homemade cakes, pastries, sandwiches and snacks. For the health fanatics there's an array of natural freshly squeezed fruit juices and salads.

Literally food, service, and atmosphere were all terrible. The server ignored me for about 20 minutes. He spent more time yelling with the bartender. She was loud the whole time. The food was terrible. I hardly ate it.

Restaurante Jero is a popular and casual bar located in Valladolid, Spain. It offers a wide variety of local tapas that can be enjoyed at the counter or tables in a convivial atmosphere. With hundreds of appetizing tapas to choose from, visitors can savor an array of elaborately prepared pinchos. A recommended dining experience includes trying around four pinchos per person for approximately 12 euros, including drinks.
Very nice place with a variety of tasty pinchos and good wine. Highly recommended!
Vladimir M — Google review
Yet another great find from the Michelin Guide. This friendly restaurant / bar has a fabulous display of "pinchos" - small toast-based tapas, topped with an incredible choice of creative toppings. Some are served warm, heated up in a unique rotating grill. The handwritten menu on the wall, and that accessed from a QR code were in Spanish, but Google lens' translate worked really well. We chose: - Rollito (ham with asparagus and cheese) - Castellano (black pudding, quail egg) - Angelillo (foie gras with pistachios and jam) - La Cabra II (goat cheese and toffee) - Mini burger (with foie gras) The staff spoke very little English, but we're very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed our lunch here. (Also posted to my food blog on Instagram @AbbeyKing16)

Maybe the best tapas bar in Valladolid. The majority of their options are quite creative but unpretentious, and there's almost always a lively atmosphere. It can sometimes get a bit busy, but the staff clearly do the best they can (one of them, whose name I don't know, is really charismatic and is one of the main reasons for the good vibe). Definitely try this place!

Hotel
Zenit El Coloquio is a trendy boutique hotel located in the heart of Valladolid, offering down-to-earth accommodations with cathedral views. Housed in a 19th-century bourgeois building, the hotel seamlessly blends original features like exposed-brick walls with modern furnishings and artworks. The rooms boast views of the patio-terrace, Cathedral, or Plaza de la Universidad and are elegantly decorated in white, dark blue, and wood tones.
A fabulous hotel, great room, clean, beautifully designed, exceptional service everywhere (reception, bar, breakfast) in a great location. Convenient parking space, everything is just perfect here. I haven't found such a great hotel for a long time. We will always come back here if we travel to Valladolid.
Marius D — Google review
Rooms have high level of finishing. Good soundproofing. Excellent location, around the corner of the centre. Only complaint is temperature. When you see people in the square with gloves on, you feel guilty to open both balconie doors as it is 25,5C in the room, and you cannot lower the temperature; only heating..
Dan V — Google review
We stayed her recently while visiting our daughter at the University. Perfect location next to the Cathedral. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. we enjoyed the option to chrome cast from our phone to the room TV, as there were no English Speaking channels. Lovely breakfast with very pleasant staff, we enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard and enjoying a drink from the bar. The reception staff very helpful and most pleasant, arranging taxis and helping us. There are loads of bars and restaurants within a short walk, the city is so beautiful. Loved our stay here!
Carol K — Google review
The worst experience in an hotel...Very rude reservation representative called Rania she canceled my reservation without asking her to do that.. Only because I needed a clarification about the payment condition..because she changed payment method mentioned on the online reservation as they allowed you to pay at hotel... But this Rania decided suddenly that we have to pay 50% of the total amount before arrival by about 3 weeks through bank transfer... And when asking her about the posibility of paying by bank card she canceled the reservation... Rude person. Never reserve directly through the hotel. Reserve online, to secure your reservation so they won't be able to cancel it easily.

Beautiful city, hotel is okay, nice rooms but beware of the parking arrangements which are terrifying
Nick D — Google review
Best location, great service and super nice rooms. This hotel is located right next to the cathedral and in the university square, therefore is surrounded by both the lively student area and the historical city center. With plenty of places to eat and drink just 1 minute distance. We were upgraded to the Junior suite and I am sure we will come back again. With two small kids this Teo floor room is just great to have the possibility to put them to sleep while still having some time for you. Strongly recommend to check it out when you visit Valladolid to see if there are rooms available.
Henar L — Google review
Fantastic, modern hotel situated right next to the cathedral, and perfectly located to explore the city center. The rooms are big and the bed extremely comfortable. Parking is available onsite at €15/day but you need to book in advance. There's a private patio for drinks inside the complex, as well as a street side terrace for breakfasts and lunches.
Linton N — Google review
Great location. Good price, friendly staff, and very clean rooms. Nice interior patio to take a drink or have breakfast. We’ll definitely be staying here the next time we go to Valladolid!
