Salisbury

Salisbury is a medieval cathedral city in the southern English county of Wiltshire. It’s 9 miles south of the iconic prehistoric stone circle at Stonehenge, which stands on the grassland of Salisbury Plain. Cathedral
Church
Place of worship
Salisbury Cathedral, located in The Close, Salisbury SP1 2EJ, is a stunning example of early English architecture. It boasts the tallest spire in England at over 400ft and offers guided tours to the base for breathtaking views. The cathedral is also home to one of the four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta from 1215 and houses the world's oldest working clock dating back to 1386.
This place ROCKED! What a beautiful church with such a rich history. We had just a couple of hours to spend in Salisbury and had to visit this amazing church. We did a self-guided tour in about an hour and could have spent more time there. Admission provides for entry for a whole year. Would love to get back here when we have more time.

Fabulous morning looking round the cathedral! Beautiful, so much history. Magna Carta was fantastic. The cafe is amazing, wonderful food, GREAT coffee and the homemade shortbread is to die for!! But the view of the spire through the glass roof is inspired! Our whippet had a great run round outside admiring the view before we went in, huge safe area between the cathedral and the car park. Will be back, especially as you can visit the cafe without going into the cathedral. Really highly recommend a visit.

Wonderful visit. £2 cheaper if you book online. £11 instead of £13. Spent a good hour and a half wLking round. Lots of information boards. Talk on the clock fascinating. All the cathedral guides well knowledgeable and informative. Cafe has meals and snacks, nor cheap though. Two teas and a bicci £9.50! Lots to become absorbed in. Well worth a visit. Didn't have time for tours. We parked at long stay car park £7.50 for 5 hours.

This is a fantastic place to come and view an amazing building. There is a lot to see and learn about. The staff and volunteers were all very nice and helpful. Magna Carter was a fascinating object to see. The refectory and gift shop were a pleasing addition. Well worth the entry fee.
Mike ( — Google review
The chapter housed the magna carta and had boards you could walk around with which explained what all the carvings were, what a great idea. We stayed about 2 hours because of parking but you could spend all day there. The price of admission allows you to visit as many times as you want for 12 months.

This is a outstanding Cathedral which you would expect. We had a guide to take us around and learned quite a lot in a short space of time. Very polite staff and eager to please. The Cafe is a worth a vist nice food if a little expensive. A very relaxing space tbh and we are not religious. As all Cathedrals are interesting this one had a few extra bits. We spent a weekend and a couple of days / evenings here at events and just a wander definitely worth a vist.
Robert P — Google review
We regularly visit the Cathedral for Luxmuralis events. These events are one large music and visual art installation held not only inside the Cathedral but outside with projection displays shown on the main facade. It is enables the Cathedral to look absolutely stunning and absolutely beautiful. The Refectory Cafe inside the Cathedral is a lovely, vibrant setting adjoining the gift shop. There is plenty of table and booth seating provided with an excellent selection of hot and cold food, cakes, pastries and biscuits to suit everyones taste. A variety of hot and cold beverages are available along with ice cream. The staff are friendly and efficient. Clean toilets are provided along with disabled and baby changing facilities. Nice and clean and well maintained.

Wow, the people here are SO nice, especially the gate agent entering the grounds! He didn't charge us because we just wanted to stop and snap a picture. He not only gave us a super easy/quick place to park, he opened the bathrooms for us!!! AND, he gave us some interesting history of the cathedral's construction (built over a watersoaked gravel bed). Oh, and the Cathedral is gorgeous from the outside - didn't go inside. FYI - also check out the Atlas Obscura noted High Street Gate nearby

Old Sarum, located a couple of miles north of Salisbury, is an ancient site with a rich history. It was originally a Neolithic settlement and later became an Iron Age hill fort. In Norman and Angevin times, it housed a Royal Castle and the footprint of Salisbury's first cathedral can still be seen. The area offers ample space for kids to run around and explore the ramparts while surrounded by picturesque Wiltshire countryside.

History Museums
The Salisbury Museum, located in the King's House opposite the cathedral's west front, offers a fascinating journey through history. The Wessex gallery presents significant archaeological discoveries from prehistoric times to the Norman Conquest, including Stonehenge-related exhibits. Visitors can explore local costumes spanning 250 years and remarkable British ceramics. Additionally, the museum features Turner watercolors and the impressive 12-foot Salisbury Giant alongside his companion hobbyhorse, Hob Nob.
I came in late, about 45 minutes before closing, after hearing a rumor about a mummified hand being displayed here. The docent informed me that, sadly, there was no hand, but there were LOTS of skeletons and a mummified cat. I felt seen! This man has matched my freak. I was charged a minimal late entry fee (around £5). The staff here was wonderfully informative and I enjoyed tooling around the museum and asking questions as I saw fit. The museum has quite a diverse collection of artifacts as well as art. I think it houses the largest collection of Stonehenge artifacts, which was nice to see right after Stonehenge. It really completed my little tour of the area and I will probably come back. There's a cafe on site, closed while I was there, and a nice gift shop where I stocked up on postcards.
Millie H — Google review
Lovely modern museum, good lighting and layout. Many exhibits, in fact the better than the interior exhibition at Stonehenge by some margin. Neolithic era and Bronze age exhibits. Its holding many of the pieces from all the famous local sites including the Amesbury archer. And the Salisbury drainage collection of lost personal items is excellent. Multiple eras covered all presented in a modern way. Recommended.
Jools U — Google review
Excellent museum, very well laid out and informative. Child friendly with plenty to keep the young ones engaged. A great half day visit, a whole day if combined with the cathedral. Would highly recommend.
John — Google review
Their Wessex gallery takes you back in time to the Stone Age. My favourite item is a jade axe head: perfectly formed, with a polished finish, yet about 6000 years old. In another part of the museum, learn about local spitfire manufacture during WW2. And there's loads more... Currently there is a small but excellent exhibition about Elizabeth Frink showing something of her life, a few pieces of smaller scale sculpture and her 2D art work. If the weather is good you can have coffee and cake on the front lawn with a excellent view of the cathedral. Well worth a visit, in fact worth several visits.
Nick G — Google review
Fabulous collection of local artefacts. Anglo Saxon, Roman, Bronze and Iron ages. Some fascinating reconstituted burials with grave goods. All set in a lovely environmentally controlled building in the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral. Well worth a visit.
Heather C — Google review
Excellent museum with soooooo many finds in the local area and a comprehensive look at the history of Salisbury. We had 75mins, but needed more. Only open till 4 in winter. Nice cafe, friendly staff. I reckon it'll take 2hrs or more to take time to look round. Wish I had more time.
Jackie R — Google review
An excellent museum in a beautiful location, the cathedral close. A well laid out museum with lots of rooms showing exhibits from throughout history. There was so much to see plus several rooms of contemporary art, a temporary exhibition, I think. Well worth a visit, with some good interactive exhibits aimed at children.
Stephanie S — Google review
The Museum boasts an incredible array of artefacts from throughout our history. We were surprised (pleasantly) at the care that has gone into the design of the galleries, which ensures that the Disabled or people short of sight/hearing are catered for. From low information boards, to well laid-out exhibits, as well as seats throughout the galleries. The level of thought that has gone into ensuring that people from minority groups are represented through fact-checking and getting outside opinions is incredible. Our visit to the Museum was only let down by the cafe. While their menu is certainly unique from other museum cafes, with an all-day breakfast and toasted bagels, as well as a fish finger brioche bun, quiche, and chilli con carne, the lack of vegan options is stark. From a menu which isn't labelled at all for allergy and dietary requirement, to unclear options for sandwiches, toasties and jacket potato fillings, I was the only let down member of my party, with only a bag of crisps to satisfy me, while my group had full lunches. A review from 2017 on TripAdvisor also lists this problem, so it would be good if reviews could be checked, and adequate steps are made to ensure that all Dietary Requirements are catered from (even if it is just a generic vegan cheese toastie). This won't stop us from revisiting the museum by any means, but we will certainly have to rethink our plans on what to eat while we visit. Top marks to the Museum, but the Cafe needs work.

Mompesson House, located in Salisbury's Cathedral Close, is a stunning 18th-century property owned by the National Trust. This architectural gem showcases exquisite Queen Anne design and features an interior adorned with period furniture, impressive plasterwork, and a remarkable oak staircase. Visitors can also admire splendid paintings and antique furniture while exploring the house. The property includes a charming walled garden area and a delightful tea room for visitors to enjoy.
Lovely visit to this very impressive house. Had a lovely talk about it's history which was very informative. Not a big house but we'll worth the visit as it's in Cathedral square ,a beautiful setting. Small garden and coffee shop

We decided to visit here as we were wandering around the town. The volunteers do an awesome job, from the welcome at the door to the information as we wandered through the house. The Trust have done an excellent job with the furnishing. If you have time then worth a visit.
Kiwisflythecoop N — Google review
Small museum showcasing a house furnished and decorated in the Regency period (early 1800s). The talk about the history of the building by the NT lady was very interesting. Lovely gardens outside with small cafe and second hand bookshop.
Martin G — Google review
Very unimpressive house. If I had paid to visit I’d have been extremely annoyed so glad we are NT members. Only seven rooms to see all filled with non authentic furniture which is not part of the original house. Boring place. Cafe there is nice though. Won’t be coming back.

Fantastic place we went on the guided tour for about one hour well worth volunteers very knowledgeable and friendly 8 rooms a little cafe and garden and a small bookshop we came all the way from Birmingham kings norton coaches toilets in and outside cathedral limited parking options a couple of step but also a flat entrance for disabled people

A lovely National Trust place. Great staff, helpful and knowledgeable. It's only a small property, but lovely. Cafe and usual facilities, but sadly, no gift shop.
Lynn ( — Google review
The staff are incredibly friendly and polite, always happy to share a chat and offer thoughtful insights. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with a rich history that adds depth to the experience. The cafeteria is charming, and the toilet facilities are clean and well-maintained — a truly lovely place to visit.
S J — Google review
We visited today and had the most wonderful time. All the NT staff we encountered were so friendly and passionate, it’s very clear how much they love their roles. We thoroughly enjoyed the 11:45 talk about the history of the house through the years, the lady doing the talk was most engaging and we learned a lot about the previous occupants and decor. The house and gardens are beautiful and it is a manageable size for those that find walking around more expansive places challenging and it could also nicely tied in with a visit to Salisbury Cathedral to make a day of it. Thank you, we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Arundells is a historic medieval house located in Cathedral Close, Salisbury. It was the former residence of British Prime Minister Edward Heath until his passing in 2005. The house has been open to the public since 2008 and offers a glimpse into its late 13th-century heritage as well as personal items and custom furnishings commissioned by Heath.
Whatever your opinion of the late Sir Edward Heath, this is a fascinating place to visit, full of his impressive collections from around the world. The delightful garden backs on to the River Avon and has superb views over to the cathedral.
Simon R — Google review
Absolutely fascinating, a chance to see the man as well as the politician. The story of the man away from politics, his wartime experiences, music & travel were all fascinating. The volunteer were very informative adding a little more information in Ted Heath's character and what it was like for him when he lived at Arundells.
Andy T — Google review
A very happy experience last Thursday on a wet and miserable June day. The entry for house and garden was reasonable, £10, especially as the ticket is valued for entry for another 12 months. As many reviewers have said, the room stewards were very knowledgeable and welcoming. Lots of reading material in each room and fascinating facts to learn. Particularly interesting was the room containing information about Heath’s war record. His books, music, paintings and sporting achievements indicate an erudite Prime Minister worthy of his position.
M J — Google review
The former home of Prime Minister Edward Heath. His last residence, filled with lots of photos and his collections. Great room guides sharing the history. The garden is quite tranquil. It cost us £10 each to enter and has a small souvenirs. Worth it though for the upkeep.
Lynn ( — Google review
Lovely Georgian house, inside has been modernised but some aspects remain. Inside is all about ex PM Edward Heath and the items he collected or was presented when in office. Lovely garden runs out to the river and there's part of his yacht with a tragic tale.

Looks good 👍 from the outside unfortunately couldn't afford to go in this time no money but got some photos disabled accessible toilets in and outside cathedral parking very tricky brilliant views

Beautiful, historic house of a true statesman. Lovely stewards, very friendly and helpfull

Absolutely fascinating house with wonderful volunteers. Steeped in history and as Ted Heath left it full of his possessions including paintings, photos, books, his piano and gifts from all the dignitaries that he met. The garden is beautiful. It was a privilege being able to visit this house and gardens.

The Indian restaurant Anokaa is a popular choice with customers both for its unique Asian twist and its vibrant atmosphere. Dishes such as chicken tikka masala and naan are favourites, and there's also a full bar serving wine, cocktails and beers. Reservations are advised to avoid the long queues.
Fantastic experience, the food is amazing and certainly not your average curry. The lamb neck was great, meat super tender. A definite recommend.

This is an amazing place to have in Salisbury! The food is perfection and there are so many unique dishes that you don't find at other Indian restaurants. I really enjoyed all of the food and drinks. I asked the waiters lots of questions about what was in certain dishes and they were happy to assist. Everyone was friendly and the decor is great too. Thoroughly recommend this place for a foodie night out! I had lunch for the next day sorted too with our leftovers! I also always love a place that serves dessert wine 👌
Demi J — Google review
Beautiful contemporary Indian food with the service and ambience to match. I've been a few times now but last night's meal was truly special. We made the trip all the way from Bournemouth as I think it's totally worth it! I opted for the prawns to start and the lambs neck curry for my main and both were absolutely delicious and full of flavour, I could have anything from the menu as it's clear each dish has been carefully curated. The beautiful lamb in the curry just fell apart as soon as I touched it with my fork, it was cooked to perfection and very high quality. My fiancé had a korma and that was also delicious, very flavoursome and tender. The service and ambience is also excellent, the staff are all over it and always accommodating and polite if not a little quick to take your plate after you've finished a course but that's a very minor thing in an otherwise excellent experience! If you want to go for an Indian but want something a bit more special and unique Anokaa is an absolute must! Thank you for a memorable birthday meal!
Andy Y — Google review
Amazing food and service as usual, thank you! Authentic and fresh, which i think is a struggle at most places. The lamb neck curry is probably one one of the best Indian dishes I've eaten; i certainly recommend! My only negative feedback is the dance music that was playing. Whilst it wasn't loud, it wasn't relaxing either. Thanks for a great meal! The best Indian restaurant around. See you soon.
Aaron W — Google review
From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The welcome was warm, the service attentive without ever being intrusive, and the atmosphere just right — comfortable yet refined. Our children had the chicken korma, my wife ordered the lamb korma, and I chose the slow-cooked lamb neck. Every single dish was outstanding. The kids’ meals weren’t an afterthought — they were full of flavour and prepared with the same care as the mains. My wife’s lamb korma was beautifully balanced, rich, and comforting, and my lamb neck was nothing short of perfection: slow-cooked until meltingly tender, bursting with flavour, and presented with real pride. As a professional chef, I rarely leave a restaurant thinking, “I couldn’t have done that better myself.” But this was one of those rare occasions. The depth of flavour, the balance of spices, and the skill in execution were simply exceptional. It wasn’t just dinner; it was a reminder of why dining out can be such a joy when you find a place that truly cares about every plate they serve. The service team deserve a mention too — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a wonderful evening. Nothing felt rushed, nothing was too much trouble. All in all, this restaurant has raised the bar. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. If you’re considering where to eat, don’t hesitate — this is a gem that more than deserves to be celebrated.

Had an absolutely amazing meal at Anokaa! The food was spot on full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff were so friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself was clean, tidy, and had a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be going back soon. Highly recommend!

A refreshingly unique Indian dining experience. The dishes are crafted with exceptional care, combining delicate preparation with vibrant, flavourful presentation. Each bite bursts with colour and character. The staff are wonderfully attentive, friendly, and engaging, making you feel truly welcome. An unexpected highlight was the magician, whose performance was absolutely mind-blowing and added a delightful twist to the evening.

My top 3 restaurants I've ever been to in the UK. Go here. The variety of the foods they give you, the flavors and themes they manage to incorporate in every dish, their spectacular service, and their lunch prices are honestly phenomenal. If you are anywhere near here during lunch time, you owe it to yourself to visit. They give you a mint at the end of your meal so don't worry about garlic breath. Oh yeah, they know how to split a bill. It's honestly insane.

Cafe Diwali is a cozy and unassuming cafe located in the heart of Salisbury, just moments away from the impressive cathedral. The restaurant offers a menu inspired by the diverse flavors of Indian street food, featuring popular dishes like samosa chaat and dosa plates served with an assortment of chutneys. The vibrant and aromatic ambiance of Cafe Diwali provides a delightful introduction to Indian cuisine, with a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options available.
This restaurant has a wide variety of options for my egg-free and dairy-free allergies. I was particularly impressed that I wasn’t just looking at a vegan menu, there are meat options where dairy free is indicated! The food was absolutely delicious- definitely recommend the pakora starter and the fish curry main, and I was told the naan is really tasty too. The atmosphere was friendly and with a buzz but not too loud- we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday without a booking and so glad they squeezed us in but think we were the last lucky ones! Thank you Cafe Diwali for a really nice evening and beautifully presented, delicious food.

What a wonderful place to eat! The food was fantastic authentic Keralan Indian food, and the servers were absolutely delightful to speak to! Great sense of humour too. 5* would recommend. Meat is halal too btw

Easily my favourite Indian restaurant in Salisbury. We went for an early supper on Friday and sat in the garden. It was so peaceful and tranquil. Hard to believe you’re right in the centre of Salisbury. I had a tandoori platter and my husband had a prawn curry. Both were absolutely delicious and all the pickles and sides were so yummy. Service very prompt and friendly.

Great food. Charming service. The place is a quite run down. Not so clean. But the food is really worth it.
Jean-Marc L — Google review
A lovely unique experience of traditional Indian foods. The food was gorgeous but the decor was quite basic like a low budget cafe. The atmosphere was quiet and not much of an interesting vibe. We spent a fortune on lunch for one adult and one child because we ordered a starter each and a main course each, but the waiter didn’t warn or guide us that this would have probably been enough for 4 people. I felt this was quite misleading as we left half of it due to the volume and still paid £68.00 so it felt wasteful yet expensive. I’d prefer guidance to portion sizes and recommendations to make the right selections and get value for money.

Amazing Indian place with plenty of choices. Super tasty and the prices are very decent as well Special shout out to the young lad who served us who was super nice

I had a delicious meal at Cafe Diwali. The samosa chaat was delicious and different than anywhere else I've ever had it (in a good way). The fish curry was exquisite. The rice is very fine; I'm not sure if it's special rice, or they shave it smaller than normal rice, but that made the curry even better. The fish curry was a delicious swirl of flavors. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very quant. If you're in Salisbury and you're looking to enjoy a great meal, Cafe Diwali is highly recommended.

We enjoyed an amazing meal, samosa chat was a flavour explosion, palak paneer had plenty of cheese and the nan so light and delicate. I only wish I had room for dessert, definitely worth the 1 hour drive, we will be back, thank you

Allium in Salisbury is a top-rated, family-run restaurant known for its modern British cuisine and romantic ambiance. The restaurant offers a seasonal menu featuring sustainable produce and an enticing tasting menu with dishes like spiced fish soup and iced apple mousse. With a welcoming atmosphere and well-prepared dishes, Allium provides an excellent dining experience for special occasions or intimate gatherings. Although closed during the winter break, it's highly recommended by visitors for its delicious food and friendly service.
We came here because we were visiting the town for the first time and we picked the restaurant based on the high ratings. It actually deserved the 5 stars… really good food and great service. We ordered two starters, five mains and the dessert-tasting to share between three people and it was more than enough food. Best dishes were the Pan Fried Fish of the Day, Crab Bisque, Fennel Jam, Sweetcorn Fritter, and Chalk Stream Trout Ceviche, Potato Skins, Herb Mayo, Cherry Tomato
Jesus C — Google review
Had a great night out at Allium. The dining area was cosy with low lighting and we were shown to a nice window table overlooking Market Square. My wife and I ordered pigs cheek and sea bass starters, both well presented and delicious. (We skipped wine, as it was rather expensive and prices at the restaurant differed from those posted on the website) For mains, I had beef rump with carrots and my wife had the hake dish. Again, both were cooked well, presented beautifully and tasted great, albeit a little luke warm for my liking. The meal was finished off with lemon posset and a serving of treacle tart with ice cream - both were very nice and a nice finish to the meal. Overall cost was reasonable considering the quality of the cooking and service. The only strange thing was that through the door signed 'toilet' led you into a staircase which resembled a squalid student flat, up to the tiny toilet area, which needs a bit of updated decoration. Overall great restaurant.

Upstairs restaurant with tables set around a large space with the bar at one end and overlooking the Market Square at the other. Enjoyed our three courses although the unusual ice creams were not that special. Pleasant and efficient young staff. Happy to go again albeit on the expensive side.

Had the most delicious meal at Allium last night. Great seat by the window overlooking Salisbury market square. We chose 5 of the small plates and a side and it was more than enough. Especially enjoyed the fish of the day (silver mullet!) and the goats curd. Every meal looked like a work of art with different, interesting tastes and flavours. The sort of food you won’t get anywhere else in Salisbury. Enjoyed mine with a glass of local Bluestone Vineyards English sparkling wine. A great place to go for a special occasion or a treat!

We visit regularly - the food is excellent with interesting and varied dishes cooked very well. Service is friendly and helpful, although can suffer a little when the restaurant is full and busy. This is our go to restaurant in Salisbury and if you want a quality dinning experience definitely worth a visit.

The wife and I went for a valentines meal. We had never eaten here before and I was curious to learn how it was. Well we were not disappointed, the food was delicious, had to get our head round ordering a number of dishes as they are small portions in comparison to what you would expect in a normal restraunt, but this is fine dining so it's to be expected. The food was outstanding and we felt we were suitably full without over eating. Would recommend for special occasions.
DanYul G — Google review
Tasty food, served in a bright and cosy space flooded with natural light. Quiet atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon, we were the only ones dining. Meats were all succulent and delicious. Sharing plates on the small side, and “Asian BBQ” could’ve definitely had some better kimchi. Otherwise a good meal.

You cannot go wrong at Allium. The food and service are impeccable! Highly recommend the fish soup, duck, and any version of the trout (if you can get there before the menu changes). This is a must try, must return spot in Salisbury for anyone who enjoys food!

Mexican restaurant
Tinga is a vibrant Mexican restaurant and bar located in the heart of Salisbury. The independently owned eatery offers a slice of Mexico with its leafy, blue-hued ambiance and Mexican street dining vibe. The decor is striking, featuring Frida Kahlo wall art and lush greenery surrounding the bar. The menu boasts an extensive selection of Mexican fare including tacos, burritos, and a wide array of cocktails, wines, authentic beers, and soft drinks.
A True Salisbury Gem! Tinga is an absolute feast for the senses — from the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sweeps you away with its vibrant, beautifully curated décor. It’s like stepping into an upscale Mexican hideaway, with warm lighting, stunning details, and a welcoming vibe that sets the tone for a great night out. But the real star? The food. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavour — fresh, colourful, and clearly made with care. The tacos were perfectly balanced, the mains packed a punch, and the dessert… don’t even get me started on the churros — absolutely divine! You can tell the kitchen puts real thought into delivering both authenticity and flair. Service was flawless — friendly, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic. The staff knew the menu well and made excellent suggestions without being pushy. It's the kind of place where you feel looked after without it feeling overdone. Tinga isn’t just a meal — it’s a whole experience. Perfect for catching up with friends, celebrating something special, or just enjoying a fantastic night of food in a stunning setting. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Salisbury is lucky to have this one-of-a-kind spot!

My fave restaurant in Salisbury! I get so excited to take new people here and always recommend to anyone visiting Salisbury! Food is always 10/10. The cocktails… to die for (even better now it’s 2-4-1 most of the day!). Staff are always so lovely and fun. Decoration is stunning and just all round has good vibes! Recently had my birthday meal here and was gifted free churros 🥰 Already got my next visit booked in 🌯🇲🇽🌮🩵 P.S the majority of the menu is Gluten Free! Which is amazing as I have a friend with celiac and it’s so rare to find somewhere that has so much choice for her!

Honestly this was such a pleasant suprise and so refreshing in the quality of food and drinks available. I was not just surprised at the variety of options in both food and drink, but the quality and flavours of everything. There was not one dish of drink that I didn't not enjoy. Commendations to the owners and the those that creators of the masterpieces. I am proud to say that I stopped taking pictures in between as I chose to savour the flavours. Highly highly recommend.

Truly a 5 star experience for us. We just happened upon Tinga as the outside was so colourful and welcoming on a wet November afternoon. We were not disappointed! Lovely young staff were helpful, polite and knowledgeable. The small plate Mexican-style tapas really suits us, and it appears quickly and is presented nicely. The portions (3 soft tortillas) are generous for tapas plates. It's also very tasty! A fun place to eat well, with a great vibe. We now want to return with a larger group of friends. Muy bien!! 😋

We came here for my birthday celebrations and although they were fully booked online, once messaging them on Instagram they managed to squeeze us in at the bar area. Thalia was our host and she was absolutely amazing! She helped recommend different dishes and was friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely time for my birthday and enjoyed all the delicious food. The fresa salsa was perfect! The picante Gamba tacos were beautiful. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for making my birthday extra special. And a big thank you to Thalia xxx

Perfect lunch spot, with delicious tapas style plates. The new location for the restaurant is ideal, and a lot of thought has gone into the beautiful decor ( even in the loos). We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Staff were so good - food weirdly tasted all the same… kind of weird actually. Like it had all been sprayed with a floral juice 😂 nice enough evening tho.

Fisherton Mill Gallery | Cafe | Studios is a unique establishment located in a Victorian grain mill that has been transformed into a vibrant collection of businesses. It stands out as the crown jewel of Salisbury, offering an award-winning cafe, the largest independent art gallery in the South West region, and various creative shops to explore. The Gallery Cafe is renowned for its seasonal menu and accommodation of dietary preferences. Additionally, the studios upstairs house individual outlets showcasing diverse crafts such as sustainable fashion, garden design, and jewelry.
This establishment has a hybrid personality. There is a fine offering of artworks on offer plus tourist trinkets. It is so full (almost over packed) that it is hard to differentiate all the different offerings. A well spent afternoon.

The cafe - which covers a large space inside and a courtyard outside - is an oasis of calm. We had coffees - which were excellent - and admired the fantastic looking cakes. We had just eaten so didn't have room but I will make sure I do next time 😁 I was very impressed by the shop area next to the cafe. It's full of beautiful handmade items at very reasonable prices. I think I could find a gift for pretty much anyone I know here, plus there's a wall of lovely cards covering pretty much every occasion - so it has all the bases covered for present buying.

I eet lunch here fairly often, probably every 2-3 months. The menu changes regularly, and there's always something I want to eat, that I haven't had before, and it has always tasted good. Freshly prepared salads, quiches, soups, and last time I had a salt beef bagel. Typically costs about £15-20 per head.

I don't think I've ever eaten in a cafe where the staff have been so polite and helpful. The cafe here is a very pleasant place to stop for a bite to eat. We sat outside with our dog and the table service was really prompt. We also had a look inside at the wonderful shop selling a variety of crafts.

Former Mill now housing a wide variety of crafts and cafe on the ground floor together with a series of craft artists in small workshops with displays upstairs. The floor upstairs is very uneven as much of the original character of the building has been maintained. Lovely atmosphere.
