The common people and the occasional small chief lived in the Reina Victoria neighborhood (Barrio Obrero). The building is built around the years 1915-1920. The construction is typical English of the time. It is currently the Huelva Congress Palace. It has eclipsed the pianos and the silences of the orchestra. I have been in industrial warehouses with quieter ventilation systems. I doubt it complies with acoustic regulations. It's shameful. This compact yet comprehensive museum showcases an impressive archaeological collection that takes visitors on a chronological journey through human settlements in the region, dating back to prehistoric times. As you explore its well-curated exhibits, don’t miss the permanent fine arts display on the second floor, which adds an artistic flair to your visit.
Definitely worth visiting. The art is breathtaking. It is very quiet and the staff are very friendly. There is even Roman artifacts on the first floor. Entrance is free for people coming from specific countries (EU, US, Spain I believe it was).

A small museum that contains many wonderful artifacts. The temporary exhibition La Joya is a particular treat. With free entry why wouldn't you visit.

Interesting museum that unfortunately does not offer audioguides or descriptions in other languages than Spanish. I regardless had a lovely time there, looking at local art and artefacts found in the region. They keep the world’s best conserved water wheel. The staff was super kind.

Huelva Museum is housed in a modern building on the southern outskirts of the city. As you enter you immediately see the 3 metre diameter water wheel found at the Rio Tinto mine. This was one of a number of wheels powered by slaves during Roman times which was used to draw water from the lower levels of the mine. The museum also contains finds from the megalithic sites of La Zarcita at Santa Bárbara de las Casas and El Pozuelo at Zalamea la Real and Phoenician and Greek artifacts found during excavations in the city itself. For an understanding of events in the Huelva province from about 3000 BC to Roman times this museum makes a good starting point. In January 2015 information was presented only in Spanish.

Nestled in a bustling side street near the Gran Teatro, Restaurante Azabache is a culinary gem in Huelva that celebrates the rich flavors of Andalusian cuisine. This inviting eatery offers an extensive menu that changes with the seasons, showcasing local seafood and meat dishes crafted from fresh market ingredients. Guests can enjoy their meals at the bar or in a charming dining room adorned with white tablecloths.
We stopped by for a short stop and chanced on this restaurant that will give me very fond memories. Noting that we were translating the menu, the attentive waiter offered his suggestions , which we added to our orders. We had percebes: a seasonal delicacy - yummy, fresh fresh fresh! Choco fritos was nicely fried, succulent cuttlefish. Corvina was superb! Arroz Azabache was lapped up so quick. If I had a tail, it would be wagging furiously.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Azabache in Huelva, and I can confidently say this place deserves way more than five stars. From the moment I stepped in, I was blown away not just by the exquisite food, which is truly top-notch and unforgettable, but also by the extraordinary service. The staff went above and beyond in a way I’ve rarely seen anywhere else. They were so attentive, thoughtful, and detail-oriented, wiping down the table between courses, making sure we had fresh plates, and just treating us like valued guests every second. Honestly, if I could give them 10 stars on Google, I would. It’s not just a meal here; it’s an experience you’ll want to come back for. Highly recommended!

We came here twice ! It was crowded every time but wow, it was awesome ! We tried the montaditos and they were brilliant! The second time we followed the camarero’s advice and it was absolutely fabulous. Take your time, enjoy a glass of wine while waiting for a slot at the bar, it totally worth it !

The restaurant holds the distinction of being the first in Huelva province to receive a Michelin Star. The food is excellent and the service is solid. My wife and I dined here while passing through and I would highly recommend other people to do the same. Reservations can be had at the last minute sometimes and the food is worth it.

(Translated by Google) The best summary “before leaving, I already wanted to return.” A highly recommended restaurant, careful treatment and very respectful of the product, with pure flavors. We have eaten several dishes in the center and we have enjoyed like dwarfs. And leaving room for dessert, it is clearly worth it. The treatment of both the room staff and the chef was unbeatable. We will return as soon as we return to Huelva. (Original) El mejor resumen “antes de salir, ya quería volver”. (Translated by Google) Very delicious (although perhaps not for a Michelin star although it is a matter of taste). There is no longer a tasting menu, something that is usually sought in these places, even so the price of the menu is very low for a high-end restaurant. Good product without risking much on the dishes and good service. You have the à la carte option and the experience option with the chef. We went by letter and it didn't cost €40 per person so the price was great. When the tasting menu returns I will return.

Well-prepared, delicious tapas. Chipirones en su tinta: very good texture and perfect home-mase style taste. Chocos en salsa: amazing salsa, mild chocos with perfect texture. Atún encebollado: avarage but good. Gazpacho and Salmorejo: perfect, casero taste. Very friendly and professional waiter. Quick service. Price for value: perfect!

The restaurant features high-quality ingredients, yet the receipts could use a touch more refinement. The senior waiter offered valuable advice, but the kitchen's pacing was slow, attributed to a shortage of staff during the Christmas holidays. Overall, I find it slightly overpriced for the area.

Bar Pappis is a highly recommended restaurant in Huelva, known for its delicious Spanish food at very reasonable prices. It offers a variety of tapas and montaditos ranging from 2 to 4 euros, making it one of the cheapest Spanish restaurants in the area. The venue is popular for its signature seafood tapas and refreshing beers. With a vibrant and cheerful ambiance, it's an ideal spot for a delightful dinner before a night out.
We came here 2 times in 2 days. Alberto, the owner, was very kind to show/explain us the tapas of the day at 8:15 pm when we came, and then it got very busy and people had to wait in the queue to eat, so come by the opening hours or after 9:30 pm for dinner. Sandwiches are fantastic, the tapas are a bit oily to our taste, but delicious nonetheless.
Ary — Google review
If you're looking for a local tapas place Pappis is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant was full of locals and they offered delicious and unique tapas dishes. Very friendly, lively atmosphere. They're quite busy so be prepared to wait if you're sitting in. We waited about 10/15mins but that just gave us time to go through the menus. They don't speak English but they do have an English menu. Really enjoyed the monk fish ball and octopus and prawn skewers. We ordered a few other things but honestly couldn't tell you what they are now. Just enjoy the adventure of choosing from the unknown. You won't be disappointed.

This charming tapas spot boasts a lovely terrace where guests can savor an array of fresh local seafood, including exquisite prawns and tender navajas. Patrons rave about the exceptional service and warm atmosphere that make every visit feel like coming home.
Went here with my kid and husband and we ordered some seafood along with tomate de terreno and mojama. The seafood was fresh and tasted amazing, but I'm telling you, the tomate de terreno - these tomatoes changed my life! They tasted so so good! It'a a small place which we appreciated and the owner is a very nice person. If you want to eat local, I defenitely recommend you try this place!

I had to delete my original review, as the website didn't let post it... Update: Before I begin with my review, I'd like to clarify I'm not happy about this. We waited 11 months to get back, because the last visit was awesome! We ordered ortiguillas de mar, shrimps, tortillitas de camarones and navajas. From what I remember portions used to be more generous, but I don't mind paying more if quality matches the price. The good: Nice ambiance, shrimps, and the coldest beer of Huelva. The bad: Las ortiguillas de mar, every piece I chewed had sand in it or something similar. Also las tortillitas de camarones, changed significantly from flavourful to plain. The reason I will not come back: Grilled razor clams (navajas), it tasted bad, to the point I got scared. The owner explained to me there's a variety of navajas, but that taste had nothing to with it. I'm truly disappointed.
