Archaeological museum
Museums
Nestled in the vibrant city of Badalona, the Museu de Badalona is a treasure trove for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. This municipal museum beautifully encapsulates the region's rich heritage, showcasing an impressive array of artifacts that span from pre-Roman times to contemporary art. Visitors can explore fascinating remnants of Baetulo, including ancient public baths and the Decumanus Maximus—an essential archaeological site from Catalonia's Roman era.
We went here to check a wonderful free art expo and it was just amazing! Highly recommend for family and friends!

This is an exhibition of normal day to day Roman city life that is of high quality and is never crowded. Take your time and let your imagination be your guide. It's a small beautiful discovery that you must include in any visit to the greater Barcelona Metropolitan area.

We came on a weekday at the appointed time, but the museum was closed!! There was a Spanish family with us who were also surprised by this! Write exact information when you are open!! We stood for an hour thinking that they would open! Write exact information about visiting this museum!🤡😡

What a hidden gem. This is one of the most incredible museums I have ever been to. Not busy at all, you don't feel rushed or overwhelmed by the mass amounts of people similar to Barcelona. You can truly take your time and really examine and take it all in. For only 6.5 € worth every cent. Be aware of mid day closing. Give yourself enough time to truly enjoy it. Actual roman ruins of a once bustling community.
Shane E — Google review
Nice museum. It could be more interactive and it is a shame that during a visit on 2nd September 2023, we learnt that 2 of 4 sites of the whole museum are closed and another one only opens on certain Sundays of the month. Good point is that you could use your ticket for one year.
Peti — Google review
A must visit I’m my opinion for travellers to Barcelona. Phenomenal Roman civilization remains right underneath Badalona. You get to explore the ruins and go through the museum of all the artifacts they found. One of the best museums I have ever visited. It took us 2 hours to explore and get through it. Be aware of the afternoon siesta hours when planning your visit. And best of all this place was not busy and run over with tourists!! Such an enjoyable visit!
Sam J — Google review
Is good to visit this museum, is a piece of history of Badalona city, visit Jardins de Quint Licini, the Quint Licini gardens, and enjoy the ancient Romans in Badalona. After that you can go to Dalt Vila, near to the museum, Dalt vila is an ancient neighborhood, the ancient Roman village. You can visit el Carrer de Mar, an historical street if our city, the beach and a promenade named la Rambla de Badalona do not confuse with Rambles of Barcelona. To arrive to Badalona city you can come with Subway line 2, Pompeu Fabra station by renfe train, or by car and park in the parking of Pompeu Fabra Square. Badalona city is near to Barcelona city. Come here and feel new sensacions near to the big Barcelona. Ask in tourism office in Francesc Layret street.

Very nice Píer with a cool sea view. Located next a Marina and also with a good yard around with bars, restaurants, gym and supermarket. On summer is crowded with a bunch of locals and tourists, but on low season it is a nice place for you come to relax or take a walk with your partner. Metro line 2 (purple) Pep Ventura station.

At sunset, this place offers some amazing views for amateur photographers. If you visit Barcelona, just spare some time to visit this place - which is very easily accessible both by public or private transport - and discover the hidden photographer in you.

Gardens
Parc de Can Solei i Ca l'Arnús is a beautifully tiered park that offers visitors a serene escape from the bustling nearby beaches. This expansive green space features lush wooded areas, winding walking paths, and charming gardens, all centered around a picturesque lake. The park is also home to historical houses and intriguing monuments like the Clock Tower and turtle lake, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls or peaceful picnics.
A beautiful oasis in Badalona with lush greenery and secluded spots. It leaves the impression of an abandoned garden, but at the same time, you see that it's very well kept. It also has a dog park and a couple of playgrounds. It's worth a visit to chill out.
Jovan T — Google review
Me and my partner had a nice walk here. Some areas were nice and okay and some really needs maintenance and care. I still recommend this park as it has nice plants and some old designs. Good for all ages to appreciate. My partner has been here long time ago and hoping it can retain it’s natural beauty
A S — Google review
I have mixed feeling about this park. It’s pretty beautiful and old, now it’s a combination of three parks and you have plenty of exotic trees and plants here. But it feels like it needs some more maintaining As long as I understand, there’s no light in the bigger part of the park, so you better go off whelk it’s still not completely dark outside Now for the good part: I like old buildings that could be found there, even tho they are abandoned. Greek statues were pretty cute too. You have some space to enjoy the silence and some crowded parts too.

One of the most interesting parks I've been to so far around Barcelona. It's like a small botanical garden with different types of landscape.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site in Badalona has a rich history that includes hosting Christopher Columbus upon his return from America.
This place it's like bathing in history in stead of water, if the walls could talk... We would definitely understand the past much better. Visiting Sant Jeroni de la Murtra is an absolute must

The monastery of San Jerónimo de la Murtra is located next to a nice hiking route and would be definitely worth to visit. Apparently there a special opening hours and you need to book an appointment.

Place situated in the Natural park of la Serralada de la Marina whit great views over the city of Badalona and the Mediterranean sea. The place is communicated whit non-asphalted road were the people walks and runs or goes whit bicycle. There are a lot of different routes you can reach the Monastery and other different attractive areas near it like La creu de Montigala or the ruins of Can Alemany. One detail to take in account is the fact that the area were the monastery is situated doesn't accept dogs or animals. It has a good parking area and its good mantained.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Centre Comercial Màgic Badalona is a top-notch shopping mall that offers a wide range of shops and services. From supermarkets to restaurants and movie theaters, this mall has it all. It is the perfect place for clothes shopping, as there are various options available to cater to every individual's preferences. The mall also houses construction stores where one can find everything they need for their building projects.
Honestly one of my favorite shopping centers / malls in Barcelona! They have a wide variety of stores, a good atmosphere, lots of food options, and fun decorations!
Rachel S — Google review
Great Spot for Affordable Shopping! I visited Central Magic Barcelona recently and was pleasantly surprised. It’s not a massive mall, but it has a good mix of outlet stores with plenty of well-known brands at discounted prices. Perfect if you're looking to grab some deals without venturing too far from the city. There are also a few fast food spots around, which makes it convenient if you're spending a few hours there. It’s definitely not as fancy as La Roca Village, but for quick, affordable shopping, it does the job. Worth a visit if you're in the area!
Gulfam H — Google review
Nice small shopping center located in Badalona, the "capital of the basketball in Europe". There are cinema and an good food court. Like any shopping center around the world, on Sundays it is a hell on earth, as you can see in the videos below. Easy access by the Gorg station, metro line 2. Also few lines of buses. 10min. walking until the beach. It is a nice area for you spinning around.

Good option for outing, shopping, and dining but no halal restaurant 😕 you can survive on coffee

May not be the best mall in Barcelona, but has everything you would need, with plenty of stores in a clean well-maintained environment. I specifically like the atmosphere.

It's a bit small and not too many shops. But luckily they have a mercadona and Springfield. The sushi restaurant there is really good with all you can eat buffet for around 18 euros. Can only recommend to eat there.
Jessy F — Google review
Middle tier mall with vast open spaces. Has a cool sphere tessellated with triangles, but photos of just the sphere are prohibited. Security informed me that only photos of yourself with the sphere in the background were permitted, assuming they meant from outside; even though it's in public view and in a public place. Nonsense. The hours on Google reflect the hours the building is open, not the stores. All stores that do not serve food are closed on Sundays.

L’Estupendu is a laid-back beachfront restaurant in Badalona, offering seafood specialties, tapas, and wine. It is one of the top-rated restaurants in the area and promises a delightful dining experience. Along with other popular eateries like Restaurant Can Mario's and El Cafe de les Antipodes, L’Estupendu offers some of the best flavors in Badalona.
Loved this beachfront spot. We ordered the seafood fideua, super yummy and filling. Would highly recommend

A firm favourite. Summer weekends, outside with a great atmosphere. The croquettes de sepia are really good. The grilled mussels are delicious. A xiringuito with exceptional quality.

It's a famous seaside restaurant to eat and chill out in Badalona. The quality is good but could be improved. The service is slow
Nazanin K — Google review
Location absolutely stunning! Service great but it stops there. Very overpriced for what we got. Fish was overcooked and very very greasy. Croquettas were good but nothing great. The seared Tuna was ok..the sauce on the tuna however not so great. Overall disappointed but the views made up for the bad food.

Arrived at time for my reservation. Waitress seemed annoyed but still seated me. I was alone and I guess that's not good business for them. Doesn't happen often but does happen when you're a solo traveler. I ate the salmon tartar and sirloin steak. It was good but a bit too raw for me :p
Mélissa K — Google review
L'Estupendu is one or my favourite restaurants in Barcelona outskirts and definitely one of the best chiringuitos on the area. Due Covid the menu is a bit shorter than it used to be, but it is definitely good enough: 4 fishes, 3 meats, 5 rives, 1 fideuà and, most important, plenty of excellent tapas for the entre. Best approach is to share few tapas (sonsos, fried artichokes, cuttlefish croquettes,..) and then take any of their exquisite rices. They do also have a decent wine list. Service very friendly despite some are too new in t'he business. Finally the views: gorgeous sea views as it sits on front of the sea shore. Just make you book a table in the first line. Established in 1929, it has evolved to include beach club services and rental of beach huts for visitors to enjoy the best vermouths, appetizers, and coastal drinks.
Amazing restaurant with amazing atmosphere and views. Proper Spanish food and service delivery by and amazing waiter call Maria that gave us the full experience ,always with beautiful smile on . Definitely the kind of place to come back!

While on a business trip, I stumbled upon a hidden gem offering incredible value for money. For just 21.5 euros, you can indulge in a delicious lunch course. The warm, friendly service is matched only by the stunning ocean view—both of which come at no extra charge. A true find!
Hundreddragons — Google review
Absolutely unacceptable experience. I walked in, placed my order, and was suddenly asked to leave — right after ordering. The staff delivered this message in a rude and dismissive manner, with no proper explanation whatsoever. On top of that, when entering the place, you’re apparently expected to check in at a reception desk to be assigned a table… but there’s no clear indication where that reception actually is. It’s confusing, poorly organized, and handled with zero professionalism. To be clear — this review is based solely on the service, as I wasn’t even given the chance to try the food. But if the hospitality is any indication, I wouldn’t expect much. Stay away if you value being treated with basic respect.

Very good experience. Beautiful location, roomy and clean restaurant, very good service and nice staff, and delicious food. Traditional Paella and all side dishes were really spacial and tasty. In addition, they recommended a very good and affordable vine. In short, five stars with no any doubt.

The best Paella I have ever had in my entire life. It's about 20 min by a cab from Barcelona but you should definitely go. Beautiful beach, quiet and cozy town.
Takahiro K — Google review
Perhaps I had too much expectations about the place, but I did not left it superexited. No doubt that the location is amazing, it is right on the beach (they have actuall a private beach!), so if you get a good table you get amazing views. They have 3 different spaces: (1) right on the beach ina pure chiringuito style with your feet in the sand, (2) the first fllor with a nice and modern mediterranean style with stonishing views and few round and big tables (I love them!) and (3) the ground floor, with a bit too basic deco that makes it feel more a garage rather than a restaurant -it has also views over the sea, bit it is not as cool as the floor above-. I was in the groundfloor and I admit it is one of the reasons for the lower score, but not only. Food was also dissapointing: first frustrarion was that they only had half the dishes in the menu -at least none of the ones we were willing to taste-, so our choices were limited. We managed to order though. Tapas were ok, yet too much difference between the good ones (fried calamari) or the not-that-good (chicken croequettes). Main course -parlla la Donzell- was also average: good enough but nothing to highlight. Price was on the medium-high end. On August 16th, 2023, I had a delightful experience at 富士鷹 Fujitaka Teppan Okonomiyaki. The staff was charming and provided us with a detailed explanation of the menu. They served us wonderfully and the food was truly remarkable! Similarly, on August 15th, 2023, I had an outstanding meal at this restaurant. It is by far the best Japanese cuisine I have ever tasted.
AMAZING! We came at rhe opening, sisnt have reservation-lack of time. They were so great to serve us perfect, delicious food! We aksed for some vegan option and got such a great service and explanation of what is what and what can we have as vegans. And it was sooooo delicious. They asked if we would like some vegan desert, they had to male it just for us!! We were so happy and ordered PERFECT MOCHI one with Mango and another with cocnut. Makis, Hiroshima Vegana,Yakisoba… you habe to try it…. Thank you ❤️❤️

Ridiculously expensive. The edamame was greasy, and a measly portion for 5€. The okonomiyake was nicely presented, but for 14€ I expected a bit more than half a prawn cut into three pieces, and a few pieces of calamari. There is no excuse for being so stingy with the seafood when you’re literally at the seaside.

(Translated by Google) We went to eat with my partner. The treatment was very good and they advised us regarding quantities (sound advice). In my opinion, a very favorable point of the restaurant: its menu includes rice, the spectacular one we tried (Iberian rice) has nothing to envy of a good paella. The grain with great flavor, aromas of rosemary and the meat is tender, good and of quality. For starters we ordered 1 oyster each, very delicious and anchovies, with a very special touch that reminded us of the flavor of a Vermouth. For dessert we ordered a chocolate one with salt and olive oil, in this case I think there was too much salt and, in my opinion, better without the toast they put on it. I wouldn't want this last comment to detract from the good work and how extraordinarily delicious everything else was. I will surely return with friends to enjoy the cuisine of this place again 😄 Price for two people: €70 approx. (Original) Fuimos a comer con mi pareja.

The food is well executed, the bravas in two cookings, crispy and sweet, the mussels perfect. Remarkable rice, good taste and at the cooking point. Les postres també molt bones, gelats de qualitat i el pa amb xocolata amb un oli molt gustós. Tot això amb vistes a la platja i al mar. El preu és acord al que menges. Llàstima la manca de respecte pel català, per desgràcia cada cop més habitual.

(Translated by Google) A great experience! Both the service offered by Roger, explaining the details of each dish and helping us decide in case of doubt, and the food were very good. Highlight the slices of old cow that melt in your mouth and the Iberian pluma rice that is ready to order another right after how delicious it was. (Original) Una experiencia genial!

(Translated by Google) Very nice family meal. We ordered some Amura bravas along with some Andalusian-style squid for snacks and then a seafood paella and everything was very good. But what you can't miss is their homemade cheesecake, it's very good!!! I told the waitress, very friendly and attentive, that we ate another cake in San Sebastián in a well-known place there precisely for its cakes that had nothing to envy of them. We will repeat!!! Repetiremos!!!
