Casa Alegre de Sagrera is a must-visit in Terrassa, Catalonia. This eighteenth-century manor house was once owned by a prominent textile entrepreneur and has been transformed into a museum after recent renovations. It stands as an excellent example of modernist bourgeois architecture in the city and offers insight into the lifestyle of that era. The mansion, which was the first to have electricity in Terrassa, is well-preserved with original possessions on display.
Very nice modernist house with a lot of room to see. The backyard is spectacular and nice to glance at.
Juan G — Google review
Terrassa is a beautiful small town outside of Barcelona which surprises with awesome quiet art, nature and historic spots such as the Casa Alegre. More then worth a visit. Much less obercrowded as a museum of the same great format in Barcelona itself.
Dreamis G — Google review
Great house in modern style. A must if you visit Terraca. Visit nice cousy garden on the back side.

Very informative and insightful about the textile industry history and beginnings of Terrassa. I recommend asking for a tour guide.

A pleasant surprise in Terrassa, which is not known for artistic and architectural delights.
Charles F — Google review
Fantastic place, unique catalan art nouveau architecture, tremendous oriental art collection, extraordinary turn of the century paintings. Wow
Fabio C — Google review
Modernist urban mansion from 1911, the first to have electricity in Terrassa. Well preserved with original possessions to show you what life was like then. My favourite room is called Hernán Cortés which has four doors giving access to the bedrooms.

Market
Sights & Landmarks
Located in Terrassa, Spain, the Mercat de la Independència has a rich history dating back to 1908. The market offers a wide variety of fresh groceries, including fruits, vegetables, and fish. It is currently undergoing modernization efforts by the municipal government to create more commercial space and integrate new technology.
Lots of stuff: vegetables, meat and others. Nice historic place.
Georgiy B — Google review
Regular market with fresh produce and also prepared food. There's a variety of meat and seafood but not extensive. They have a stall selling spices and herbs (some of the spices and herbs are quite difficult to find in a supermarket). There's also a vegan stall. Overall, a decent market but not the best or biggest market (as in variety of produce, environment, stalls) that I have seen in Catalonia.
Faz A — Google review
They have very good and fresh produce
Fernanda M — Google review
All your fresh grocery needs can be met here. There's even a little cafe that knows how to make good coffee (and sells bags from quality local roasters).
Brad G — Google review
Old fashioned market. We bought a middle Eastern Rice dish we enjoyed very much.

Always a great place to find good quality produce

Good food and great quality, but it does not hqve a lot of variety, so you can't find grounet or special products.

The Carthusian of Vallparadís Castle has a rich history, having been owned by the Berenguer family before being passed on to the Escaladei monks and later to the Carmelitans of Santa Creus of Barcelona. It has undergone renovations and now serves as a museum. The castle is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, making it a great place for a leisurely stroll.
Nice castle and landscapes around it

Ticket price is 3 € it's good 👍 very small castle 🏰 recommend visit time half hour is sufficient time
Prashant K — Google review
A small but a beautiful castle.
Tanasă F — Google review
Bums and delinquents living behind the castle really ruins the view, no police whatsoever to remove them from the spot, these illegals are pestering and living behind historic monuments.

Little castle. Not a lot to see, but a good museum and the price is correct.

Parc de Vallparadís is a delightful urban oasis nestled in the heart of Terrassa, making it an ideal spot for families seeking a day of fun and relaxation. This expansive park features diverse environments, including lush woodlands, serene gardens, and tranquil ponds that invite exploration. Children can enjoy various playgrounds tailored to different age groups while parents soak in the peaceful ambiance. The park's proximity to historical sites like medieval churches adds a touch of culture to your visit.
Amazing park for a get away from city life. There is beautiful scenery and it is a great place to see some wild life. It is always filled with kids, families, and people exercising or walking their pets. It feels very safe and is pretty clean. There is a public pool in the park and other parks. There are many water fountains through the park and there are plenty of benches. You can also bring a blanket and picnic there!

Colmado 1917 Terrassa is a unique dining experience that focuses on respecting the ingredients and producers. The restaurant prides itself on minimal intervention cooking, showcasing fresh, local produce with a deep understanding of the menu. Guests have raved about the knowledgeable and dedicated team who deliver exceptional dishes with simplicity over complexity. The menu features modern, flavorful dishes that highlight authentic Catalonian food, making it a must-visit for those seeking something different and special in their dining experience.
Wow. Amazing food, wine and service. Very tasty. A unique experience of a professional cuisine.

Evening was super great experience! Really small restaurant !Food was fantastic, great flavours, super service, atmosphere fantastic. Wine selection wide! Thank you!
Taru M — Google review
Excellent food and service, particularly impressive given the team running it had changed only 2 weeks prior to visit. Bonito with tuna heart bottarga perhaps the standout dish. Cod brandade bun and chicken liver pâté also particularly good.
Jonathan S — Google review
Honestly a MUST experience! Minimal intervention, fresh, local produce and 100% menu knowledge. A perfect example of owning and delivery what you create, know and are good at! The team so knowledgeable about what they do with a ‘this is us and this is what we deliver attitude’ and nailed every part of it! The menu screams simplicity over complexity, delivering in great taste in every dish. THAT SALT COD TORTILLA 🤤 My taste buds and stomach have been abused. Thank you so much for having us!

My work colleague and I were staying in Catalonia and wanted to eat some authentic Catalonian food outside of our hotel. We found this restaurante which was tucked away on a side street with only a few tables but wow! We were blown away with the dedication of the workers and how they prepare the food. We ordered 4 tapas items and our favourite was the mussels and baraquito dessert. With each item, the waiter would explain the ingredients, origin and any back story. He was incredibly enthusiastic and even translated everything into to English using his phone to ensure we had the full experience. I also do not eat pork or drink wine and the waiter was super accommodating, he even made me baraquito without alcohol! I highly recommend this restaurante if you are ever in Terressa, it was one of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. And its very affordable, we ordered 4 tapas items, 2 desserts, a lemonade and glass of wine for £75 euros. Please visit this restaurante and show love to the staff, they deserve it highly!! Thank you again!
Yasmin R — Google review
Amazing. You wouldn't know by looking at the place but this is an absolute hidden gem. The man who runs the place is really nice (and does everything on his own), the food is 5-star quality, the wine selection is ample, and the price for value is not bad (4 people ate and drank fo 60€). Only two tables in the restaurant so make a reservation! Highly recommend.
Jo R — Google review
Amazing little place, like from a fairy tale or a movie. Two guys, three tables. Infinite amount of tastes: food, wine, smiley and proud service. Really something out of this world. Memory to take home.
Svetlana B — Google review
Worth every euro I spent. Amazing food experience. Only one thing: you should consider adding some non-alcohol drinks for example homemade lemonade or tea.

Mediterranean restaurant
El Cel de les Oques is a top choice for those seeking refined Catalan cuisine in Terrassa, Barcelona. The restaurant, run by Keco Martinez-Angles and family, offers a contemporary take on traditional Catalan dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Visitors can expect a gastronomic experience featuring fresh, light, and subtle flavors. While the service has been criticized for being slow and the seating area small with tables placed closely together, the overall dining experience is highly praised.
Just an incredible experience eating dinner at El Cel de Les Oques. We were extremely grateful and appreciate of our meal and time here - the food and service was top class. The staff (particularly our server Alina) went the extra mile to make sure we were educated on the food and drink. They also were very kind to my niece and made us feel like family and right at home. Thank you for a great meal and for the hospitality!
Anthony B — Google review
The food is tasty, well-prepared, and the menu offers a good variety of options inspired by traditional Catalan dishes. The service is average. However, in my opinion, the restaurant could greatly benefit from a more thoughtful restyling focused on guest comfort, acoustics, and attention to detail. The poor acoustics, combined with small tables placed too closely together, create a noisy and uncomfortable dining experience. Additionally, the walls are painted in a flashy green color with noticeable stains, which we also found on the table linen. A refresh in décor and overall maintenance could significantly enhance the atmosphere.
Chiara B — Google review
The service is really slow. The place is small and the tables are very close to each other. I do not recommend ordering dessert since they aren't particularly good
Nazanin K — Google review
Excellent service, Great food and the atmosphere was just amazing. We got a tasting menu and it’s hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Terrassa. I highly recommend that you get a tasting menu if you come here. From the starters to main course, everything was just so fresh and delicious.
Hazel M — Google review
Wonderful food. We ate outside. We ate very early as we are British! So no ambience...but delicious fish
Kate T — Google review
Excellent service, and an exquisite tasting menu. Each dish was a winner
Yohay E — Google review
The food was good, the staff was friendly. The restaurant has barely any decoration that was surprising to me because the name suggests a lot of creativity.. the food isnt specially creative either. For the price we paid I expected more of them
Orsolya M — Google review
Hands down the best restaurant in Terrassa, Barcelona. Along perhaps with Vapor Gastronomic right next door. If you happen to be in town or fancy a short excursion from Barcelona center, this is a fantastic choice for innovative cousine with traditional and regional roots. Bib Gourmand level for years on the Michelin Guide, this owner/chez/sommelier operated place will surprise you with incredible quality, service and creativity. Settled in a pedestrian set of streets, lively and with a good, laid back vibe. Boníssim!

Tocaboires is a delightful culinary gem that has quickly made a name for itself since its opening just over a year ago, thanks to the dynamic duo of Anna Gimeno Torres and Mar Millan Pulgarin. This charming eatery radiates warmth and friendliness, creating an inviting atmosphere where guests feel right at home.
Definitely one of the best restaurants I have been in Terrassa lately; good food quality (chicken sticks are top!), excellent service; the crew there are so kind and funny, and perfect price value; 2 people dinner around 32€. I will suggest to book in advance as it’s always busy and hard to find a table. 100% recommended!

We had an amazing time here. If I could give 6 stars to the food and service, I would. Thank you so much for a great last meal in Spain! We had burratta, Artichoke hearts, potatoe omelette, and the Iberian secret. They were cooked to perfection and delicious. Definitely a must eat if you are near Terrassa! Cheers, from New Zealand!
Nunya N — Google review
What a gem of a place! The food is exquisite, but what makes Tocaboires very very special is the personal touch. They love their food and are very happy to help you find the perfect match to drink with it. It’s a truly great little place to visit.

The food is good and the staff is super friendly. They also have a nice IPA. The Spanish omelettes are really tasty. Highly recommended.

(Translated by Google) Very tasty, very good quality food. The portions (the ones we tried) are generally small but very tasty. We ordered several dishes, and they were all around €10 per plate, maybe a little more for some. Anna's service was spectacular; she was very friendly and treated us brilliantly. We went without a reservation, but we were lucky to be early; it was almost full, so it's best to reserve. We will definitely return!

La Taberna del Ciri is an intimate eatery that specializes in homestyle beef dishes and offers a wide variety of soups and desserts. This restaurant provides a delightful twist on traditional Catalan cuisine, with Chef Marc Ribas crafting tantalizing plates that can be customized to create your own tasting menu. The tapas selection is exceptional, showcasing local flavors with creative touches.
Terrific tapas place. Local cooking with some tuists. Price is quite good for the quality and quantity. The restaurant belongs to one of the local tv stars. But it does not disappoint. Some really original like the leaks (in the pic). Also really good desert! Cheesecake (with different name was amazing)
