Hiking Trails
The Amalfi Coast is a UNESCO-listed landscape featuring small towns perched between mountains and the sea. A popular activity is the Classic Amalfi Coast walking tour, an 11-day journey along the Footpath of the Gods, offering unrivaled Italian coastal hiking. The self-guided walk allows exploration at a personalized pace through idyllic villages like Praiano, Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, and Maestra dei Villaggi.
Breathtaking and unforgettable! The Amalfi Coast is truly one of the most stunning places you’ll ever see—the views are absolutely postcard-perfect at every turn. Towering cliffs, sparkling turquoise waters, and picturesque villages make this destination something straight out of a dream. I highly recommend visiting by coach if possible. The roads are incredibly narrow, winding, and steep, and while experienced drivers might manage, it’s not for the faint-hearted! If you do decide to drive, go for a small car—a big vehicle would be a real challenge on those roads. Beaches are beautiful but often require a walk down the cliffs, and some do charge for entry. It’s worth it for the experience, though! The restaurants along the coast are wonderful—laid-back, welcoming, and happy to let you enjoy your meal without rushing you, which is refreshing in such a popular tourist spot. Parking is expensive—around €10 per hour—so if you’re driving, plan to make the most of your time there. Honestly, words don’t do it justice—I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. A place you’ll never forget!

Very cool views from a boat tour. The road is very busy and filled with traffic for 4 months of the year - it was still busy in late September. Ferries are probably the better option to see everything the coast has to offer.

Beautiful town. We went end Sept beginning of Oct and we found it busy - I'm not sure I'd like it at the height of the season! Narrow streets with lots of lovely restaurants and gift shops. Restaurants offer similar choices of food and drink and cost is relative to quality, the average for us was about 45€ each which was 1 main meal and a drink each. Be prepared for lots of hills and stairs! Taxis are expensive but buses and ferries are a cheaper way to travel. The buses are a hair-raising ride but the scenery and views are spectacular. Tickets for the bus are bought either on the bus, some hotels & shops or the terminal. Ferry tickets can be bought online or at the port usually about 10€ but you may be charged extra for luggage. The ferry and bus timetables are pretty spot on but beware of popular times - the bus won't stop if it's full and your next bus could be up to an hour wait. The buses can cost between 1.50€ to 2.50€ depending on time of day. All stops are request stops, other than the terminal. The weather can affect the running of the ferries so always best to have a back up plan. We did a tour bus to Pompei & Herculaneum which was about 2 hours travelling but that was also picking up other people on the way.

We were looking forward to see Amalfi coast. The view from the top was spectacular. The boat was a nice experience. The town was underwhelming. Not much things to see except for church and small gift shop (approx. 10 min) It's mainly beach and view, if you want seeing the market, go to Sorrento. Highly recommend.

The 2nd most beautiful place I have ever seen with my own eyes. Stunning views no matter where you look. We visited here over the summer and I still think about it every single day.
Lauren B — Google review
We visited Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. After a white-knuckle drive along a cliff-hugging road, we were rewarded with the most spectacular scenery. Words cannot convey the absolute beauty of the Amafi Coast. So here are some pictures. Better to see it in real life!
Dan T — Google review
Arrive by sea and you can see how beautiful the coastline is. But to say its busy is an understatement. The mainstreet is wall to wall people. Narrow at times, it still has a need for cars bikes and electric carts to go up and down it. Once you manage to get further up the widens and you see the real Amalfi. Move away from this street and things become better. Still busy, but not uncontrollably. Views are fantastically pretty. Recommend turning right first off the boat and walking up the hill. Longish walk but very worth it. Do the main Street once you have taken in this view. You'll accept the masses after that. Only views from the sea included, as that would spoil it
TEE-GEE-EYE — Google review
It’s what you see in all of the internet posts and articles. Vibrant color building and epic cliff sides. The Amalfi coast is a wonderful time no matter what time of year.

Il Vecchio Saracino restaurant is a Mediterranean eatery located on Via Granatelle, known for its traditional and fish cuisine. The establishment offers complimentary Wi-Fi to its patrons, creating an ideal atmosphere for enjoying their delectable dishes. With a charming leafy terrace, this unassuming bed and breakfast provides guests with a relaxed dining experience.
Location, decor, ambient, service, and of course the most important part, the food was superb. Priced accordingly to what you got. I went for my birthday, with dear friends, and was very impressed. I recommend the restaurant to anyone with high western standards, who want a quiet, respectful, and elegant experience while enjoying a delicious meal. I don't say this often, but A1.

An excellent dining experience! The food is delicious and well-priced, the staff is friendly, and the owners are wonderful. They take pride in their craft.

We came to Carola 1801 with a family group of 29 people from 4 generations. The food was amazing and the wines from Merino are fantastic. We had reserved and arranged a menu ahead of time with Vincenzo, the excellent chef. Unfortunately due to bus scheduling and traffic, we arrived late and had less than an hour to eat before we had to leave. The service was super fast, super professional and all-around excellent. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have time to relax and savor the outstanding food.
Viaggiatore A — Google review
Had a wonderful dinner here with my family! Food was good, we enjoyed the seafood antipasti. The service was impeccable. We had a reservation but arrived late and they were able to accommodate us. Local Cilento wine was very good and Buffalo mozzarella soft cake dessert was delicious! Highly recommend!
T E — Google review
A lovely location and charming staff, let down by really rather poor food. The dishes appeared to attempt "fine dining" but they were fairly inedible. Three of the four dishes we had either smelled a little unfresh or were just unpleasant to eat. A shame because it was quite an expensive meal.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants on our tour of Italy. We were recommended this restaurant by the owners of the Trentova Motorhome Park. They called ahead and reserved a table for us. The whole ambience and setting for the restaurant is perfect. Beautiful courtyard garden . The food was incredible with so much flavour and definitely a menu to be very proud of. The tuna on every level was amazing from the tartar to the loins in the pasta ... The wine was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were charming, had a great sense of humour and spoke excellent English. They were well trained and very attentive. All in all an experience to be repeated and definitely recommended . Fantastic! Xx

Nestled in the charming coastal town of Agropoli, Heretic Ristorante Braceria is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This restaurant specializes in grilled meats, showcasing a menu filled with mouthwatering options that highlight the rich flavors of Italian cuisine. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. With its beautiful location, diners can enjoy their meals while soaking in the picturesque surroundings of this lovely seaside destination.
Absolutely a good place. Our friends, the Di Geneva’s, took us here while visiting. Had great steaks, a variety of beer, and some outstanding appetizers first. We couldn’t believe the service. Smart and sassy too.

We arrived at Heretic Braceria and we instantly fell in love with the place. As a man who loves his medieval history, you enter a space from a different time; you see a throne as soon as you enter, banners from different chivalric orders. The attention to detail was incredible. I'm from Ireland, and I learned that the owner procured some of the suits of armour and implements from Ireland, which is awesome. We ordered the Antipasto Reale, and words can't describe just how amazing the flavours were. I ordered the Scottona and my wife ordered the Maialino ribs. The meat melted in your mouth and the accompanying vegetables were a perfect match. The desserts were works of art, and we didn't take pictures because we dug in as soon as we saw them. I had the pistacchio, and my wife had the white chocolate and almond dessert. Overall, the atmosphere was excellent, the quality is excellent and the prices are honest. Staff were very friendly and engaging, and I have to say thank you to Melissa and Giuseppe for creating such a beautiful memory for us. We will see you again soon.

Incredible food and a very nice atmosphere. Wonderfully little castle built by the owners for the purpose of the restaurant and you feel that when you walk in the garden. Good service and very reasonable prices. If you like meat a easy choice for a wonderful meal.

Very nice restaurant, steaks, burgers and beers. A nice little break from all the pizza and pasta. Friendly staff. Big fire cooked steaks. Whats not to like
Derek F — Google review
We were in the area and came to this place due to their great reviews. I must admit I expected a tacky place with no charme (this Camelot if you are from the UK). But, this venue was lovely, the staff were amazing and were patient with our poor attempt at Italian, the food was brilliant- my best steak in Italy so far! The only thing I would say is arrive early to park just outside of the venue, otherwise it’s a squeeze. But we will certainly come back if in the area, great place! Very welcoming, great food, what more could you want?

Italian restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque lungomare of Agropoli, La Cucina di Cozzechella is a charming little eatery that seafood enthusiasts simply cannot miss. This delightful restaurant specializes in high-quality fish dishes crafted from fresh ingredients, all at surprisingly reasonable prices—around 30 for a complete meal! Although it has limited seating and may not accommodate large groups, its cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for an intimate dining experience.
Beautiful restaurant by the sea with superior quality seafood and wine selection. Staff professional yet friendly. Highly recommend it .

We had fried shimps and calamars some grilled fish and pasta with clamps. The grill fish was over cooked, so too dry and you could taste that the grill hasn't been cleaned for years, fried shrimps and calamari was tasteless, pasta with clamps was over priced. If you are hungry this place will do the job.

My girlfriend and I were sitting on the beach watching the sunset, looking for a place to go to. Saw it recommended on various sites online and it was only 2 minutes away. Let me tell you, the food was great! The frutti di mare were very fresh and the seasoning was on point. It was very busy, but we were lucky to get there a few minutes before it opened, because a line was already starting to assemble. The reward for coming early was a table without reservation (which I would greatly recommend if you can't be there before opening hours. The chief of front of the house kept getting calls for reservations throughout our meal and the line in front of the restaurant kept on growing!) and some fishballs on the house while we were waiting for the last few things to get set up. We had the frutti di mare with pasta and fried cod with fries. Even the fries can be recommended (they seemed fresh, which I can hardly say for any other restaurant in the region). Definetly get the measles for starters (one serving is easily enough for two). The housewine is not too shabby either and a bang for the buck for sure (8€ for 1 litre). Overall I would recommend anyone visiting Agropoli to go. If you're short on money just skip on the dulce and sides and you can easily stay under 15€ per person for a full meal. Last but not least, service was great as well; very quick and always in good mood, even when they had to send people away because it was so busy and the line of people waiting was already quite long.

Eat where the locals eat! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Nothing flash, just good food at a good price, and we were the only tourists there. We were surprised to be told that there was a garden at the back where we could eat, having seen the lines of people buying fried fish at the front of the shop. There’s a big terrace at the back in someone’s back yard. Rather than fried fish (which is very popular), we went for linguine scoglio and a plate of grilled squid, cuttlefish and prawn. Delicious. The house wine was €4 for 500mls - a bargain and tasted good. Our waitress was great and very efficient. The whole team were great. The locals eat late here, like in Spain. They were still coming in at 11pm!
