The Muretto di Alassio is a vibrant and colorful installation that dates back to 1953. It features ceramic tiles adorned with replicas of famous autographs, showcasing the names of renowned individuals who frequented the nearby Cafe Roma. This beloved symbol of Alassio has been witness to countless vows exchanged by couples over the years, infusing it with an enduring sense of love and romance.
Beautiful shops and bars. Some high-end stores as well. Must visit if you're here!

It’s ok - a brick wall along the side of a busy street covered with 100’s of tiles. There are some interesting tiles but 95% mean nothing to a non-Italian visitor. Small monument to Nelson who was involved in a sea battle against the French (obviously) in the bay of Alassio in 1795 which I was not aware of.

Interesting artifact in the middle of the wonderful and charming town of Alassio. Between all the "normal" people, it is nice to spot some names of really famous persons.

Alessio is really lovely, a haunt of Nelson and Hemingway amongst others. The people are kind and gentle; the town layout is idyllic. They say avoid the school summer holidays when it gets overrun.

When exploring Alassio, a visit to the Budello di Alassio is an absolute must. This charming, narrow cobbled street runs parallel to the stunning coastline and showcases the town's rich maritime history from medieval times. Lined with elegant old buildings and former fishermen’s homes, Budello offers a delightful blend of tradition and modernity.

Il Torrione Saraceno stands as a remarkable piece of history along the stunning Ligurian coast. Constructed in the 16th century by the Genoese, this tower was part of a network designed to protect against pirates, safeguarding the bustling Borgo Coscia and its naval activities. While visitors can't explore its interior, Il Torrione Saraceno offers an ideal spot for a quick seaside break or capturing memorable photos of Alassio's picturesque landscape.

Baba Beach is a popular sandy beach known for its separate dog area, sun loungers, and an adjacent restaurant. Visitors can pay to enter the beach and enjoy amenities designed for families with dogs, including a treat package upon arrival and a dedicated area for dog families. The beach is well-maintained, with careful provision of beach beds and umbrellas. While enjoying the Liguria sea with their four-legged friends, visitors should be cautious of jellyfish.
Dog friendly beach, with many services like showers, toilet, restaurant. Very vegan friendly menu, with even 3D printed plant based meats. The beach is pricey but worth it when you want to spoil yourself.

Randomly found this cute little beach club great service . Expensive cocktails / food friendly people They hand out little bottles sprays Beach is clean and tidy. There’s three areas Adults only Dogs Family We were sat in the adult only area but the end of the day there were children and dogs in adult only area ! Which was disappointing . apart from that we will return.

Great location, with sandy beach, not the easiest parking across a main road. Compared to some beach clubs in the local expensive food and drinks. Food quality very average, and often first choice not available, service generally poor arrogant and uninterested with the exception of the lady on reception who was the most helpful. Some nice touches of complimentary fruit and ice cream on the beach. Place needs some maintenance.

We spent a day here and booked a lovely sunbed right by the water for €90. The setting is stunning, no doubt about it. But unfortunately, there were a few things that really took away from the experience. There was a QR code at the sunbed so you could order food and drinks directly – just like it should be. However, the menu was very limited compared to what’s actually available, and the pricing felt deliberately structured. The cheapest bottle of wine was €59, and although orders over €25 came with no service fee, it was clearly set up to just miss that threshold. For example: 2 beers at €12 each = €24. So effectively, we paid €29 for two beers. To be clear – I have no problem spending money when things are worth it. I’ve been to countless beach clubs around the world, and when there’s a full menu, reasonable prices and attentive staff eager to serve, I’m more than happy to indulge. But here, I just felt irritated. Even small things, like staff walking around offering a single grape skewer for €10, made the whole experience feel overly commercial in a bad way. It’s a beautiful place, and you can still enjoy it – but be aware that everything costs extra, and not always in a way that feels fair or enjoyable.
Mikael C — Google review
Nice location, the service at the restaurant is excellent the food is good. But overall at the beach beds services can be improved. And for the expensive prices you pay, you would expect much higher quality service. We asked for someone to get us drinks until this moment we are still waiting 🤣⏳

Extremely clean beach! Staff was very friendly & food was good. The dogs were all kept on leashes for the most part and the prices to get in and reserve a nice spot with umbrella or under the Snoopy terrace.

Loved this place especially been a foreigner of Color. Guys a 100% recommend this place the food was good ,service on point trust me on this I swear . I mean every 10minutes or less someone was passing by our bed to refill the ice and ask if we need anything. Guys there have a Tarrot Card Reader for free that’s a fun fact!! The location is perfect easy to find exactly as how the pictures on the website . Like I have to think of something negative to say hmmmm….I guess the changing rooms and toilets can be improved. 100% friendly staff so sweet and kind. Worth the drive and worth the value of the money . I will insert some pics. Guysssss don’t hesitate.

Seafood restaurant
On 03/09/2023, we arrived late for dinner and decided to stop at the restaurant Clapsy Alassio. Despite the kitchen closing in ten minutes, they allowed us to order and seated us in the outdoor area. The waitstaff were friendly and informed us that smoking was not permitted even outside. Due to a full table, we ordered various dishes from both the kitchen and pizzeria. The pizza was exceptional, possibly the best I've had in a long time.
Perfetto!!! I love their pizza (particularly the Napoli style pizza with the soft dough / crust on the outside!). Big thanks to Sedik the cook! The pizza he creates is awesome! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming! I spend almost a year traveling in Italy and the pizza is one of the best I had! I love this place!

Our hotel recommend this restaurant and it looked pretty good when we walked by so we tried it. We had seating right next to the beach with a great view of the sea. We ordered the mixed fish grill, roasted octopus with vegetables and seafood risotto. What a great choice. Very happy with the selection and everything was so flavorful. Will definitely visit again if in the area. The risotto was half eaten by my family before I was able to take a photo. It definitely had a fishy tasty but a good taste at that.

Despite the Restraunt name sounding like an STI, This popular restaurant came through with the goods; excellent handmade Gnocchi, exceptional pizza, delectable seafood. The service was friendly. A lovely atmosphere by the beach if you can get beach side seating, otherwise the indoor vibe is almost better… just try not to be next to the thoroughfare that runs between them.

I haven’t eaten here for years as my last experience was a disaster so l thought l would try it again. Clapsy Jeans is no longer and now the 2 restaurants are both Clapsy. The service was outstanding and the waiter couldn’t have been more helpful. The insalata mista was diabolically bad. It used to be the best in Alassio and was amazing. So sad. A small portion of nothing. The tomatoes had been cut early that morning or even the day before. I ordered the pizza with sausage and wild broccoli it was so bad and lacked flavour that l sent it back. They offered me another pizza so l ordered the salami and nduja. It was delicious but so soggy and water logged it was barely edible. I just ate the middle then took the rest home and cooked it in a hot oven and it was delicious. Come on Clapsy get your act together with the food. You have the location, the ambience, the great floor staff but the kitchen is so disappointing!!!
Melissa R — Google review
Bad service by arrogant waiters, food mediocre and overpriced (18 € for about 80 g of porcini mushrooms, really?) Unfortunately Clapsy has developed into a bad tourist trap. To be avoided.
Jürgen H — Google review
We came here for dinner and were unfortunately very disappointed. When we arrived, the restaurant was still completely empty, yet the waiter refused to give us a table with a view, saying it would prevent him from seating other tables later. Not exactly a warm welcome. At that point, we were already thinking about leaving, but unfortunately decided against it. The starter was good, but the main course (Spaghetti Vongole) had cold mussels. After we complained, the same plate was brought back—this time without the mussels - that was strange. The mussels had been reheated in hot water, which completely ruined the flavor. To make matters worse, the overall service was very poor and unwelcoming. We didn’t feel like valued guests and will definitely not return.

Osteria I Matetti is a unique dining experience in Alassio, offering homemade local cuisine in a special setting that takes you on a journey through time. The restaurant's interior is adorned with historic photos, creating an atmospheric ambiance. The attentive staff provides excellent hospitality and helps patrons navigate the menu, which is written in Genova dialect. I generally don’t give bad reviews but this is warranted. We are two tourists traveling through and our hotel concierge had a list of all the recommended restaurants in town. I looked them all up and asked for reservations to this one. The concierge told us it was fully booked and we can try again the next night. Back and forth this went on and one morning we spoke with another employee and the reservation was made. Great! Upon arriving, we told them we had a reservation made by the hotel but there seemed to be some confusion where the staff talked amongst themselves, looking rather annoyed. We were then shown a table which was outside in which we asked if they had a table inside. Very rudely, we were answered no. First, it’s on a busy road, it’s loud. Cars zooming by. Ok fine, this restaurant was hard to get so we make excuses it’s worth it. Next, the service. Terrible. Menus slapped on the table. We asked if the server could recommend something and was answered impatiently “everything is good”. We asked for wine and was answered “red or white?”, which we thought was strange but we expected a wine menu to come. Perhaps they separate their red and white lists. No. We were given a house red. The food is mediocre. Things seemed microwaved hot. Halfway through the meal, I asked for the menu again, this time I got the wine menu. Extensive list of wines available so why were we given a house red without being consulted? It’s not a language barrier. They spoke perfect English. Then we got a phone call. It was the concierge calling us telling us the restaurant we had a reservation to said we didn’t show up. But we were right there! Then we concluded. We were at the wrong restaurant. This was on the list and was the one I had been asking for but was told multiple times was fully booked. The concierge knew they didn’t like tourists. It’s the end of our meal. We looked around. We went inside. There are only 4 tables inside. They weren’t fully booked. They wouldn’t give us an inside table. They only gave us the house red. They were hostile. The same rude server was laughing and smiling. Everyone we spoke to seemed pleasant INSIDE with all their INSIDE guests. We were the only 2 top outside. So our conclusion is simple. We look different. We don’t speak the language. Our hotel concierge had tried to avoid this interaction by telling us it was constantly fully booked. But I had misinterpreted the other employee when confirming the reservation (here there was some language difficulty). Everything else in this town had been a lovely experience. This put a blip in it. We were very disappointed because the whole trip had been amazing. People, the food, the service. Because of the misunderstanding and we came to this sad restaurant on our last night we left feeling deflated. Avoid if you’re not from there.

Delicious food and very nice atmosphere, we felt like home. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and we were offered a small antipasto, dessert and amaro on top of our order. The place is full of locals and it's better to book since it's always full.

This place exceeded my expectations. I’ve been to many restaurants in Liguria over the years and I think this is my new favorite. They were very accommodating, authentic, and the octopus pasta was delicious and incredibly fresh. The prices are very reasonable. I never felt like I was in a tourist trap. My friend loved her pasta from the sea. Both of our plates were empty and belly’s full. With the lovely service and a non pretentious environment - I look forward to coming back here. :) Grazie mille

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in my life. EVERYTHING is incredible about it. First of all, the food is unbelievable. You must try the Ligurian classics: gasse al pesto and pansotti al sugo di noci. Out of this world. The portions are MASSIVE, and for just 14 EUR each. Second, they give you for free a huge basket full of amazing bread and also farinata! (Farinata is one of my favorite Ligurian inventions.) To our surprise, after finishing eating, they brought us (also for free) a plate full of fried apple with nutella. Even more: after finishing eating the plate, the owner of the place brought another one without no one asking! The waiters are extremely cool and friendly. Let alone the atmosphere of the place - as local and Ligurian as it gets. By far one of my favorite places to eat not only in Italy but in the world. A must-try while being in Alassio.

Absolutely amazing experience! We hadn’t booked, yet we managed to get a table both times we came, even in the evening. The service was outstanding, with one waiter who spoke nearly five languages, which was so impressive. The menu is available in multiple languages, the food is excellent, and the prices are more than fair. There is live music inside and the place itself is super cute. I loved the seafood spaghetti, their wine was incredible, and we also tried their homemade liqueur, which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Had came recommended by local friends, but unfortunately, it was not a good experience. The antipasta platter for two was nice with a huge selection of cheese and some traditional meats, this was great. But we ordered wine and fizzy water. The water never arrived, we had to remind the waiter it 3 times. Eventually, this arrived, but the final bill showed 2 bottles, not one. Not happy. The sea food pasta had 3 empty mussel shells, but not in the dish, the prawn was gritty not clean. The taste of the pasta was fishy tasting which can happen. The grilled Tuna was acceptable. The singer and atmosphere inside was great, shame the service, food and over billing did not compare.

Ristorante La Prua, a beautiful Michelin guide eatery, showcases exquisite and intricate seafood creations in an elegant dining space offering breathtaking ocean views. This romantic establishment provides an unparalleled experience by seating guests on a charming beach deck, immersing them in the soothing sounds of the sea. Indulge in delightful Italian wines while relishing the artfully presented grilled meats and seafood dishes.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Prua in Liguria, and it was truly a remarkable experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the sea. The combination of live music and the overall ambiance created a delightful atmosphere that added to the enjoyment of the evening. For the main course, I opted for the seabass, mixed grill, and seafood pasta. The seabass was expertly prepared and had a delicate flavor that melted in my mouth. The mixed grill was a delightful medley of different seafood options, each cooked to perfection. However, the seafood pasta, while tasty, had a slightly sweet undertone that may not be to everyone's preference. It was still enjoyable, but I would have preferred a more savory taste. Throughout the evening, the live music enhanced the dining experience. It created a lively and entertaining backdrop, further adding to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I found myself tapping my foot and thoroughly enjoying the music. La Prua in Liguria is a must-visit restaurant for seafood enthusiasts. The quality of the seafood is exceptional, and the appetizers and fried options are particularly noteworthy. While the seafood pasta was a bit sweet for my taste, it was still enjoyable. The live music, great view, and inviting ambiance make for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend La Prua and look forward to returning in the future.

What a memorable lunch just steps away from the Ligurian Sea! Super romantic place for just two or we enjoyed with a group of friends sitting under the enclosed outdoor gazebo. The waitstaff was incredible the serving portions really large so we split both an appetizer (the octopus) and a main (The Fried). Don't miss out on a Lemoncello Spritz by Claudia!

Honestly a little disappointed. Sat on the beach at sunset, a perfect setting for a perfect dinner, and was expecting my socks to be blown off. Unfortunately the food came up short. The gnocchi was bland, fried fish was also bland, calamari was too chewy. Food was 3* but grade was brought up by the ambiance. Shame.

I can highly recommend La Vigna for dinner. Our waitress was really friendly and we were sat at a table by the window. The view is fabulous. We had the tasting menu for €52 pp and it was amazing! One of the best meals we have ever had in Alassio. We thought it was really good value for money, too. Everything was beautifully presented and the dishes were all explained to us, including how to pair them and why they are made in this way. Our lovely waitress also offered us a digestif on the house, which was a nice way to end the dinner. We will visit again next time we are in Alassio.
Alice R — Google review
We previously visited this establishment and had a lovely time. Sadly upon returning, our past experiences were tainted by a rather unpleasant experience. Our waitress was unhelpful and rude, she picked up our card to pay and just tapped the card machine, demanding the pin without the slightest show of gratification. We tip in every restaurant we attend yet could not bring ourselves to do so due to the inherent rudeness of the staff. If the food was up to par as before then maybe the experience may have redeem itself but alas this was not the case. Such a shame to have a restaurant which such great views to be let down by the service of certain employees.

The food is spectacular, and the owners are incredibly gracious. Their warm hospitality and delicious dishes make every visit a delight. Highly recommended!

The very nice view (overlooking the Alassio bay) and the food (typical Liguria). Based on my August (aka crowded) experience, early (20pm) is better than later. They have double service so by 9:30 you must be done. Beware the very very narrow Road to get there. The smaller the car the better. Parking space is provided by the restaurant. Price, like all nice restaurants in Alassio, is about 45 euros for a 2 course meal per adult

Restaurant beautifullly set up on a hill above Alassio. Very narrow road to get there. Food is very nice and the extensive wine list also. Unfortunately we did not have the service expected in a good restaurant. You don't feel important as a guest. The staff are very busy with too many guests. We had to wait too long between servings. Restaurant proud themselves on their home page to be an attentive family restaurant. We did not feel this attention to guests. Lots of different servants to our table made it a non personal experience. Sadly. We will eventually return one more time and hope this will not happen again...

Best and more authentic restaurant in Alassio. Yummy raw fish cuts platter as well as the "spaghetti allo scoglio" (spaghetti with seafood). It is own by a family and they are super nice. The views are terrific! Booking previously is highly recommended. Very clean and great ambience.

Terrible experience. Service too lazy, 30 minutes for tea, 20 minutes for water, glass of wine empty for half an hour... Potatoes horribly salty, clams not opened it means not cooked well, etc. We went off without waiting for next food, we were really angry for really bad service. Next example: we wanted to have one Menu still on the table to choose the deserts or another food and they took it out 4 times (!) again and again... We love Italy, visited many many restaurants before, but never had that bad experience :-(
