Outdoor Activities
Capo di Milazzo is a stunning peninsula in Sicily, Italy, featuring a picturesque lighthouse and breathtaking views of the sea and Aeolian Islands. Visitors can explore the Archaeological Museum with its exceptional collection of ancient artifacts from Greek, Roman, and Phoenician times. Additionally, taking a boat trip to the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aeolian Islands is highly recommended.
An amazing natural park with water on both sides. Lots of places to walk, a few restaurants, a real gem for the city. How can you not give this five stars?

The cape offers lots of nature and some historical ruins. It’s great do disconnect from the hassles of everyday life and connect with nature.
Jürg R — Google review
Wonderful view on the sea. It's a pity that it's not enhanced and promoted enough. Unfortunately, all around the place, there's garbage and unkempt vegetation. We met also the rabbits living in there!
Anna W — Google review
it is worth walking to the end of the cliff, the view is wonderful. I suggest you plan to see the sunset.
Matej — Google review
Wonderful place. Clean pristine water. Pool of venus is heaven.
Sumit R — Google review
A short walk will lead you to the place with an amazing view on the area and the islands. If you go down the stairs, you will find one natural pool with tranparant waters. It is a charming place where you can take a bath or swim. We regret we did not know about it before otherwise we would have brought our swimming suits too!

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
The Castello di Milazzo, a medieval citadel perched atop a hill, boasts a 17th-century cathedral and the remains of the old town hall. Don't miss the breathtaking panorama from the Normand Tower! The castle also includes the Museum of Tonnara, where visitors can learn about tunafish fishing using nets under the sea.
Interesting historical site dating back to the Roman empire or possibly before. There is a church there with a mural made of marble in layers in a very unique way. From the top it also has amazing views; since the place is located in a very narrow peninsula you can see the sea bordering from both sides.
Rodrigo H — Google review
You can watch the sunset but it's closing at 2030 and the people throwing you out around 2010 so you have to be fast :). Nice small walk with some museums (for us - not very nice but depends). Nice overview over the city.
David L — Google review
Great visit! The climb to the castle was actually easy though it looks high from the esplanade. The complex is huge but very easy to walk around and offers great views especially to Vulcano and Lipari Islands. There is stairs in most of the buildings but outdoors is paths. There are a number of nice restaurants directly outside. We spent approximately 2 hours just wandering around.
Two B — Google review
Great views and amazing ruins to explore. There was an exhibition on music lead by a local man who was extremely talented and one of the highlights of our 11 days exploring Sicily.
Nıcole L — Google review
Amazing building and incredible views over the town and beyond Visited in November and literally had the place alone.

Nature preserve
Outdoor Activities
The Pool of Venus is a picturesque nature preserve located at the end of a scenic footpath on the tip of a peninsula in Milazzo. The pool, with crystal clear waters and rocky edges, is surrounded by cacti, flowers, and olive trees that lead to the rugged coast. Visitors can enjoy an excellent hike starting from Marina Port Lungo-Mare and walking along the westward shoreline before crossing the spine of the peninsula to reach famous landmarks like the sanctuary, cape, castle or fortress.
I got there late in the afternoon of a cloudy day still it was amazing. First you walk through a Mediterranean shrubs/trees area, then a breathtaking view of the sea and a stairway to the pool of Venus. A many-sense experience where you can also hear the birds and smell the fragrance of aromatic plants. It’s a must-see place in all seasons. The entrance is free; the sign says gate closes at 7.30 but I left at almost 8 with no problems.
Donatella P — Google review
Absolutely stunning place! We visited in May and had the whole spot to ourselves, not crowded at all. The water was clear and pleasantly warm for a swim. A magical and peaceful experience surrounded by nature. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic escape.
M D — Google review
Small and crowded, need to be careful about the slippery rocks atvthe bottom, covered with moss. Water shoes are recommended. The pool is a good place to watch the sunset, but afternoon hours not ideal for taking pictures of the pool (unless they are taken from the sea edge) because the contre jour effect (light behind the subject).
Magda D — Google review
Very light hike for 5-10 min through an olive garden on top of the hill. The pool is surrounded by rocks (beach shoes are useful) and definitely worth a dip. Wonderful sunset spot. The path is starting from a big parkinglot and two restaurants (they were closed when we were there on the 1st of october). On the right from the parkinglot there is an other parking place with olive trees and it's possible to stay overnight with camper van.
Laura S — Google review
Very beautiful but can get crowded. If you want to avoid people go late when others start heading home. Bonus is the sunset if you can stay long enough. The place closes at 9 so they ll come and tell you to go home around 7:30. (They will tell you they close 8 or 8:30 but they just want to go home early)
Marton C — Google review
Went there on a cloudy day, still quite beautiful, cause the sea is so blue and somewhere the sea even glows! Very Rocky Mountain! I like yellow khaki rocks with cactus 🌵 , look so hardcore!
Guan C — Google review
Just amazing. Be ready to hike but it's completely worth it.
Summer C — Google review
We went off season, early October towards the end of the day. The water was stunning and the sunset even more beautiful. Worth the trek down and up the rocky steps. Don’t be a dumb dumb and forget your swim shorts in the car. 🙃

Beaches
The Lido La Fenice offers breathtaking views of the sunset over the Eolian islands, creating an unforgettable experience. Unlike other beachclubs in Puglia, this place stands out for its warmth and friendliness towards guests. Despite hosting birthday and graduation celebrations, they still managed to provide seating arrangements. The staff, especially the entertaining Leonardo, were exceptionally amiable and refused to accept tips. The food and wine offered were not only delectable but also affordable.
Nice well organized, clean beach club with excellent restaurant, the Spada Caponata was the best I have ever had!!! Also has a snack bar also with great granite. Charlie runs the beach and took excellent care of us. Nice beds and umbrellas. Free showers and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend!

Came here on a quiet day (early October) after the summer rush. Great gins and Aperols
George M — Google review
Incredible sunset looking west past the Eolian islands. This place was jumping. Compared to Puglian beachclubs this place was warm and friendly. They accommodated us with seats even though they had a birthday and a graduation on. The staff were so friendly and big Leonardo was good fun and refused any tips. Food and wine was super tasty and cheap. I wish all beachclubs were variations of this place.
Jon C — Google review
A beautiful place to be with family and friends, with the view of the beach. The food was delicious and the waitress was also very at her Job.

Not very welcoming towards tourists. When we arrived the staff seemed annoyed that we didn't speak Italian. They found an employee who was very helpful though. Later we tried to buy food, but was ignored so we went to a cafe nearby instead. While we were stayed there the staff regularly yelled at each other, which was very disturbing. Not recommended, but unfortunately there are not many alternatives.

The Antiquarium of Milazzo is a lesser-known museum that houses a captivating collection of artifacts discovered in the ancient inhabited regions of the Milazzo promontory. This museum, although not frequented by many, should not be overlooked as it offers free entry to visitors. However, it would be advisable to implement a nominal entrance fee to cover maintenance and safety expenses.

(Translated by Google) From the seafront going up to the castle you unexpectedly come across this museum created from the quartering of the Spanish soldiers defending the fortress. This long building cut the isthmus from one sea to the other in a strategic position. The preserved finds essentially come from burials and testify to a human presence as early as 2 thousand BC. Greek and Roman finds of notable beauty and clearly arranged follow one another in successive rooms. Congratulations for the restoration of the structure and for the finds (Original) Dal lungomare salendo per il castello inaspettatamente si incontra questo museo ricavato dall’acquartieramento dei soldati spagnoli a difesa della fortezza. Restaurant
Trattoria la Casalinga is a quaint eatery located close to the Lungomare in Milazzo. Patrons can choose to dine inside, on the charming closed-off road, or in the colorful garden at the back. The vibrant ambiance extends to the dishes and tables, which are also bursting with color. The restaurant is known for its delectable seafood options, particularly the mixed fried fish that comes in generous portions.
We came back here two nights in a row just to try different items on the menu… everything is DELICIOUS! Service is quick and very friendly. Wine menu is perfect for pairing with their food (white or red). Prices are unbeatable too. A must try
Holden C — Google review
Was recommended this trattoria after checking into our B&B. Service was quick and friendly. We enjoyed all of our food at very reasonable prices. We had a variety of dishes and enjoyed them all. The pasta, meat, and seafood were all cooked well. We tried almost all of their dessert and enjoyed them all- cheesecake, tiramisu, and cannoli.
Thomas C — Google review
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing and could reccomend this place more to everyone.
Nıcole L — Google review
Probably best street for Mediterranean dinner night in Milazzo in terms of atmosphere. Drinks, Salads and risotto were good, linguini pasta a bit blend.
Gergely F — Google review
Great food especially the grilled seafood selection. The cold meats platter as a starter is generous and to be shared. The spaghetti marinara was good but not as good as the grilled seafood dish…was expecting more of a tomato based sauce. The atmosphere is great seems to be full of locals and great location 👏👏
Mike B — Google review
We were recommended this place by our B&B host - it was good but not stellar. We shared the grilled veggies and vegetarian salad which were nice. The smoked fish plate was good. The house wine wasn’t great. On our table, the grilled swordfish was good, the shrimp and langoustine on the mixed seafood plate were good and everything else was eh. I had the gluten free (Senza glutine) spaghetti carbonara which was good.
Kelly T — Google review
A restaurant in a tiny road near the Lungomare in Milazzo. We have been sitting in the little garden behind the restaurant, but it is possible to sit inside or on the little road which is closed to cars.We liked the garden wich is very colorful. In fact also the dishes and the tables are colourful in the little garden. The food was very good especially fish . I had the mixed fried fish which was exceptionally good and a big enough portion. Prices are slightly above sicilian average but fully justified for quality and nice area. Personnel is kind but a bit stressed, they really have a lot to do.

I have been several times, overall it's ok, sometimes a bit expensive, and good "primi piatti". But when it's busy I would avoid because the service get lower, and the fish antipasto get poorer

Mangia Napoli is a fantastic spot in Milazzo known for its delicious food, especially the amazing pizzas. The owner is friendly, and the service is quick with fair prices. It's highly recommended for anyone passing through Milazzo. If you're looking for a perfect place to enjoy some really great pizza, Mangia Napoli is a must-visit.
Fantastic spot with delicious food, especially the pizza is great. Nice owner, quick service, fair prices, highly recommendable. Must go for the pizzas, when you are in Milazzo for a stop over.

The pizzas are rather good but the service was super slow, even in Italian standards. We had to ask for menus for ourselves after 5 minutes of just sitting still; the waiters didn't come to us once, we had to call them each time.

Seafood restaurant
Ristorante Doppio Gusto is an exceptional seafood place that offers fresh fish and prime ingredients. The chef's approach to the menu is simple yet skillful, prioritizing the value of the raw materials rather than showcasing. The staff is highly professional, providing a high-quality service in a nice and cozy location situated prominently near the marina. This fantastic restaurant delivers impeccable gourmet food, with everything prepared perfectly and using a great selection of Colosi Wines.
Doppio Gusto – Highly Recommended I wholeheartedly recommend Doppio Gusto. During our holiday stay in Milazzo, we managed to visit Doppio Gusto… twice. Both visits were without a reservation, but we still got a table, even if we were told, “we only have an hour” – respect and thanks to the staff for accommodating us. Next time, of course, we’ll remember to book in advance, and I suggest everyone do the same if they want to enjoy the Doppio Gusto experience. The restaurant has been recently renovated, as we were informed by a very friendly waiter, and features a soft, cozy beige décor. The tables for two are the perfect size, though there are also larger ones that seat six. The pleasant patio and outdoor garden with about 50 seats fill up quickly during dinner hours. We found this place thanks to a Michelin guide recommendation, but it’s clearly a favorite among Milazzo locals as well. And now to what we had on our plates: Red tuna tartare with guacamole and caviar – phenomenal, fresh, and delicate flavor of the fish – worth coming back just for this. Grilled octopus served on potato velouté with confit cherry tomatoes – the strong taste of the sea balanced with the creaminess and lightness of the fluffy potato velouté. Stuffed calamari with green beans – simplicity, freshness, and pure flavor always win – and here, they all shine. Argentinian beef sirloin steak with grilled potatoes – I know this isn’t a very local Sicilian dish, but after two weeks of fish and seafood, I was craving a good-quality piece of meat, and it did not disappoint: cooked to perfection (medium rare), juicy, pink, with a red center. Paired with sea salt and thin slices of grilled potatoes – what more could you want? For dessert: frozen pistachio sphere with a raspberry center – the perfect ending to such a dinner, in such a place, on such an evening. Of course, we cannot forget the impressive wine list – this time we went with a chilled, refreshing, citrusy Grillo, perfect for a hot 30°C summer evening. We left delighted, full, and happy. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the restaurant. The vibe was more upscale and the place had a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. The food was prepared very fresh and each bite was delicious. Sadly, the portion size of my order was smaller than I anticipated, as well as both my dining guests. The price was relevant to the restaurant. Service was very busy and it took a considerable time to get Service. I enjoyed the time but i will take time to venture to other restaurants.

The atmosphere is nice and the food looks good - but that's about it. We ordered sparkling water, but were served still water. I ordered Ravioli, but was served another pasta dish. The waiter didn't bother to ask how we liked the food, and due to language barrier they did not understand our critique. The place wants to be way more than it is, which is average at best.

Doppio Zero in Milazzo is a delightful culinary gem that goes beyond its reputation as a pizzeria. While many flock here for the mouthwatering pizzas, this vibrant eatery also offers an array of flavors that reflect the growing influence of Japanese cuisine in the West. The atmosphere is lively and modern, making it a popular spot among locals and visitors alike.
Delicious pizza! The Bufala and Tonno e Cipolla were amazing – soft dough with a perfect crisp base and well-balanced toppings. Cozy atmosphere. Even on a weekday we had to wait, so I recommend reserving in advance!

One evening in Milazzo before moving to Lipari islands, I was looking for a nice place to eat. This place was recommended to me by my Booking host, and it did not disappoint. I came very early for Italian standards (around 18:45 Saturday), but I was sat down, and then I quickly ordered - it just seemed a bit chaotic because they were still preparing everything for "the main event" (all the people who arrive later). So there was weird waiting time given that I was the only customer there. But overall, they were quite nice to me, and even gave me a free couscous starter. As far as dishes go - arrancino artiginale as a starter was not all that great, macaroni alla siciliana were delicious, and pizza margherita was nice (even though not quite as tasty as neapolitan margherita pizza). 4/5 :)
Pavel R — Google review
Visited the place without a reservation but lucky enough to find a table for two, even if it was the last table in the little alley going back to the kitchen. Pizzas are delicious, strongly recommending the place. We also tasted tiramisu and it was worth saving some space in the stomach. Apart from these, I cannot say that the main personnel was very welcoming. The serving waitresses were very warm and helpful, yet the main guy was not very welcoming towards the guests without any reservations.
Merve S — Google review
We loved their pizza! They usually take reservations, but they were kind enough to seat us. The staff was very cordial, and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Our Aperol Spritz was perfectly balanced and so refreshing. Excellent service all around!

The place is nice and features a beautiful terrace. It’s recommended to make a reservation. The pizza is excellent.

The food was ok, not bad. But the service quality was shocking. As in previous reports, cold and unmotivated, no one asked if everything was good. After my friendly complaint about the really bad red wine (how did they find that crap in Italy?) the vibes were completely destroyed. If you see the boss acting disrespectful and grumbly in his restaurant, you understand the low level of hospitality of his staff. Nice Piano music didn’t help, avoid this place.

La Bitta Milazzo Ristorante Pizzeria is a delightful culinary gem that promises an authentic Italian dining experience. Nestled in a charming location, this restaurant has quickly become a favorite among locals and travelers alike. Guests rave about the exceptional pizzas, which boast beautifully crafted crusts and perfectly balanced flavors. The menu also features delectable seafood dishes that are expertly prepared, making it a great spot for those who appreciate fresh ingredients.
Stumbled on this place after returning from Vulcano. The pizza we had here was as good as any I have ever eaten and I regularly eat pizza. Beautiful crust and base, perfectly seasoned, a pool of deliciousness in the middle. All the right elements for a great pizza. So far the best I’ve had in Sicily but the holiday isn’t over so let’s see. They were fully booked when we turned up at 9:30pm so we had takeaway, you will need to book if arriving at the typical Sicilian dinner time of 8-10pm, it’s a good sign though considering it’s on a quiet road with no foot traffic. The food being delivered to the tables looked great, especially the seafood carpaccios.

It was unexpected. We didn’t know the place, we are at the hotel nearby and we walked around and we have a pleasant surprise to discover this restaurant. Came here with my partner as she really craved a mixed seafood dish. Glad I went for a pizza. The pizza & overall service were pretty good. Her mixed grill seafood dish was overcooked, didn't taste fresh and was very dry... Probably frozen food. Would've given 3 stars if at least the place was a little more cosy...
