Performing arts theater
Teatro Gentile, also known as Town Theatre, is a renowned venue celebrated for its exceptional internal structure and outstanding acoustics. Situated in the Le Marche region, it is considered one of the most elegant and beautiful theaters in the area. Despite undergoing renovations after the 2016 earthquake, this well-preserved theater continues to captivate audiences with its approximately 700 seats and meticulous attention to detail in its design.

(Translated by Google) I visited this theater to watch the wonderful performance of Tosca on March 4th. The interiors of the theater are stunning, transporting you back in time on an emotional journey. I was sitting in the stalls, the seats are comfortable, the room temperature was perfect and the acoustics were excellent. Despite the lack of an orchestra pit, the singers' voices could be heard very well, going beyond the good musicians to reach the audience. The bathrooms are very poor. Really unseemly, poorly cared for, water on the floor, inability to lock yourself in the toilet, paper towels placed on the sinks and not placed in a dispenser, really unhygienic. Due to the bathrooms I only gave 3 stars. Molto scadenti i bagni.

After the 2016 earthquake, the third level remains under renovation, everything else is operational and there are approximately 700 places. The audience is surrounded by various orders, the entrance is cared for down to the smallest details. The acoustics of this theater are surprising, I say this as a presenter and a spectator. The proposed theater season is interesting, a real mix of theatrical, musical and dance events. If you come to Fabriano visit it. Museums
The Paper and Watermark Museum Fabriano is located in a former monastery and is one of the most significant museums in central Italy. It offers demonstrations of handmade paper making, showcases watermarks, and provides courses for those interested. The museum presents the authentic story of Fabriano within a captivating setting, where visitors can explore the history, tradition, culture, and resourcefulness of the city through the art of handmade paper processing.
Very interesting and special museum about the local paper industry. The visit follows the history of paper making, where the city of Fabriano played a key role, and where some of the best paper is still made today. The guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour extremely entertaining! We also did the practical experience in the "paper lab", and made our own sheet of fabriano paper! Very recommended!

Visited the museum with my wife and our dog during our stay at the Villa Gioia in Fabriano. We had to follow a group of school kids of about 13-14 years old. The tour was guided by a young man who was excellent in his presentation. The language was Italian but I think it's possible to obtain a translator for other languages. I was amazed by what I saw and heard, the explanations were clear and also entertaining at the same time. We were able to see the process of ancient paper production and also modern paper production. There was also a very interesting part on the introduction of the watermark, used on many types of quality paper and in particular paper currency. This museum is great for kids and adults and is also visitabile by less able thanks to the staff who provided a ramp for my wife to enter the museum and then transported her to the first floor in a lift. There is also a very nice shop to buy gifts.

Amazing morning at the museum. We didn't book ahead and we probably should have. School groups were touring on the same day so when the guide finished with them, he offered to take us around. His English was limited but we managed and he was so kind to take us around. He showed my 6-year-old how to make paper and let him try it out. Highly recommended activity for families. I suggest to plan better than we did and go when there is an English tour so it's even better. There's a great playground and park across the street where you can do a picnic after.

A must-see in Fabriano, being the first town in Europe to produce paper, it has a great history. The museum itself is easy to reach, set in abeautiful ancient and well kept building, with any kind of facility for disable and has a video in English to explain what you are going to see before you start.

I went here for a class field trip! It was really cool to see because they take you through their history, you can also actually make paper if you take a tour. It is old fashioned but they show you how they keep up their modern touch. The town surrounding the factory is also very nice. It is totally worth seeing and making a stop at their factory with their excellent guides!

The Palazzo Del Podestà is a prime example of Gothic architecture in the Le Marche region, located in the historic center near Piazza del Comune. This area is bustling with various notable buildings such as the loggia of St. Francesco, Palazzo Vescovile, Torre Civica, Palazzo Chiavelli, and the Sturinalto Fountain. The square itself serves as a vibrant hub for locals to gather at its bars and socialize.

(Translated by Google) It can be admired in all its majestic grandeur in the Piazza del Comune, the "living room" of the Fabrianesi, which has an almost triangular shape. Opposite, there is the Sturinalto fountain, which due to its concentric basins recalls the Maggiore fountain in Perugia. The Palace was built in a position that holds a particular symbolic meaning: it is in the point, in fact, where the two original inhabited areas and the city neighborhoods crossed paths which, later uniting, formed the city of Fabriano. The mighty building, dating back to the mid-13th century, is opened by a large pointed vault under which the road passes. In the past, however, a branch of a river flowed there, which was then covered so that the main city street could be built. Only a few fragments remain of the fourteenth-century frescoes that decorated it, depicting battle scenes and a wheel of fortune moved by a female character. The mighty palace is made entirely of white stone and stands out from the other buildings in the square which are mainly made of red brick. On the upper part it has the typical Ghibelline battlements.

La Vecchia Cartiera is a charming restaurant nestled amidst lush greenery. It offers a pleasant dining experience with delicious cocotte and cured meats. The mixed grill, although slightly overcooked, still delivered satisfying flavors. The desserts were also delightful. However, it would be preferable to have more variety on the menu. Our expectations were not disappointed at all. The place is truly evocative: exposed beams, walls decorated with paintings, curtains that recall the famous watermarks of Fabriano and a fireplace room with an intimate and romantic atmosphere, with the fireplace that was not lit but will certainly warm the room even more in winter. The menu is typically Marche and we, lovers of appetizers, tasted three different ones, remaining enthusiastic. Among the dishes, a soft and piping hot crescia that won us over, followed by two delicious traditional first courses. A special thanks to the girl who served us at the table: unfortunately after some time I don’t remember her name, but she made us feel truly super pampered. We even chatted outside the place for a handful of minutes, establishing a beautiful relationship. A pleasant evening, where we felt truly spoiled. We will definitely be back soon. On my inaugural journey to Italy, I embarked on this adventure alongside a colleague named Brian Martin. For months, he regaled me with tales of an extraordinary eatery that surpassed all expectations when we finally arrived. The establishment in question, Il Piacere Della Carne, not only lived up to its hype but exceeded it with aplomb. Impeccable cuisine and service were the hallmarks of this dining haven.
One of the best meat places one can have in Italy. If you are a meat lover. This place is for you! The Carpaccio was to die for … not to mention the steaks and the first plates. Despite having to wait for almost an hour due to arriving at 6pm when they open at 7, the experience at Taverna Da Ivo was well worth it. The bruschetta selection was excellent, followed by a delectable white lasagna tartufata and a mouthwatering steak with delicious accompanying sides. The desserts, particularly the zuppa inglese and tiramisu, were exceptional.
Great Italian place where you can eat real Italian food. A bit limited availability of the dishes on lunch, but we tried Minestrone, lasagna and spaghetti with truffles. I had cannelloni and my husband had ravioli - this time. Then tiramisu for dessert. A must! So yummy! It’s our 4th visit to this restaurant! We will be back when we’re in Fabriano. Home cooked fresh food, friendly service and great suggestions on daily specials. Even told us that the broth would not be freshly made because it was summer - it would be a stock-cube broth if we’d wanted that. So appreciate being told exactly what’s in what I’m eating. Great attention to detail!

Bit of a mixed bag, the food was good, the service was good however they mixed up our order twice resulting in making it more expensive. We went to this place a few times as we were staying close by. On one occasion my partner and I didn’t feel like a huge meal. I ordered just a pasta and he ordered just some fish, when ordering the staff suggested that he get 2 servings of fish because one wouldn’t be enough. We assured them that we only wanted 1. They bought out to servings anyway and we had to pay for both. We didn’t think much of it, maybe a misunderstanding because we don’t speak Italian. On our finial visit we went with a group. Some of the group asked about the Tomahawk steak and the server said they had a 400g option. I then asked about the T-bone and the only option was for 700g. I explained this was too big and asked for the tomahawk like the others. When the food arrived they had bought out the t-bone instead of what I had asked for. We then had to pay for that t-bone for €37. Where as 2 tomahawks were €36! If you do not speak Italian make sure you get them to repeat your order back!

Although we had to wait almost 1 hour (because we came at 6pm and they open at 7) it was worth. Very good bruschetta choice, then a very tasty white lasagna tartufata and then a very tasty steak 🥩 with delicious sides and the most important the deserts. You have to get the zuppa inglese and the Tiramisu. Great experience.

A decent place for a quick meal at a reasonable price. This came highly recommended by locals. Not in old centre of town but convenient enough to get to.

The best lasagna Bianca I have ever tried in my life. The first time I was here in 2006. Since that time not much changed - always the best cuisine and service.

Amazing homemade pasta! Wine was great, local house red. My partner had the steak which was also excellent. The cappellacci with walnut, ricotta and porcini was one of the best pastas I’ve ever had. Prices are very fair and service perfect.

Restaurant
Diner
Nestled in the charming town of Fabriano, Ristorante Nonna Rina offers a delightful culinary experience that captures the essence of Italian dining. Guests have praised its generous portions and honest pricing, making it an excellent choice for those seeking authentic flavors without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is welcoming, accommodating even furry friends with ease. While some dishes like spaghetti with cheese and pepper may need a little tweaking, many diners rave about the overall quality and presentation of their meals.
Ate here very early one evening as we were accepted with our dog without difficulty. The restaurant is large so we ate early so our dog didn't disturb other people, he acts as if he owns the place after ten minutes. I didn't comment on the atmosphere as there were only three tables occupied during our meal. The food was simply excellent and the price was very honest. The portions were huge and other dishes I saw were equally impressive.

I LOVE this resto. Without exaggerating, foods are served the best! The roasted pigeon is soft and tasty. Price is reasonable. I spent 38 Eur for a ravioli, a pigeon, a glass of red wine, a mineral water (small), and a local liquor (named marchese something). The waiter and waitress are very helpful. Small unimportant note: the waiter is cute 👌🏻

Had a nice appetiser and pasta dish each on a weekday lunch when everywhere else was closed. Was surprised by the food as I wasn't blown away by the description in the menu but it was well done and tasty

We went for lunch on a Tuesday. Friendly staff and outside seating was nice. We shared an amazing gluten free pasta with duck ragù and a beef tagliata which were very nice. The Rosso del Conero complemented the meal very well. This is where it all went south. We ordered a semifredfo and a zuppa inglese which were terrible. They resembled supermarket frozen confectionery and we couldn't progress with either. Restaurant is very good and fairly priced as long as you steer away from the deserts.

Place is not bad. Quite expensive for the quality of the food and how it was cooked. But I'd give 5 stars for the staffs.
