Villa Draghi is a faded villa located in parkland just outside Montegrotto, offering an attractive nature trail. The villa is surrounded by a 30-hectare park and can be accessed via the Viale dell'Amore path, adorned with quotations from poets. (Translated by Google) Beautiful, well-preserved mid-19th century villa on the outskirts of Montegrotto. It is closed and cannot be visited. Located in a large park on the slopes of Monte Alto, it can be reached on foot with a few minutes of easy climb. Splendid panorama over the hills and the plain almost to the sea. For those who want to take a nice walk, numerous paths branch off behind the villa, quite well marked by white/red signs lasting from 20 minutes to two hours. At the entrance to the park there is a large car park and the iron art and spa museum.

(Translated by Google) Beautifully restored historic villa at the foot of Monte Alto. Magnificent views of the towns of Montegrotto Terme and Abano Terme, and far beyond the Euganean Hills. It's a 10- to 15-minute drive from Abano Terme to Villa Draghi. From a large parking lot, Villa Draghi can be reached via the villa's driveway in 10 minutes, or, depending on the trail chosen, in 1-2 hours. Large overview maps showing the various trails are available at the parking lot and at the information center. The mostly wooded paths are now well marked, signposted, and maintained. Sturdy footwear is recommended for some sections, however. Walkers, hikers, and mountain bikers share the various trails. The villa itself can unfortunately only be viewed from the outside, although sometimes from the inside during special events. Individual smaller rooms and the large terrace above the villa are also made available for exhibitions and events by the municipality of Montegrotto or the corresponding association. A trip with a walk or short hike is definitely worth it.

Villa Bassi Rathgeb, a historic 18th-century estate once owned by the noble Paduan family of the Dondi dell'Orologio, was acquired by the Municipality of Abano Terme in 1979. It now houses the valuable collection of Roberto Bassi-Rathgeb and serves as a cultural center and home to the Municipal Museum. The villa boasts ancient frescoes and is an intriguing destination for those interested in churches and places of worship.
Temporary exhibit of photography by Eve Arnold "All About Women" displayed throughout the museum rooms. We saw this June 2019.

The Duomo di San Lorenzo, located in the old part of the city, is a historic religious building housing precious works of art including paintings from renowned artists such as Jacopo Ceruti and Pietro della Vecchia. The cathedral's bell tower has a base dating back to 900 A.D. and an upper part from 1315.

Although not a particularly significant monument, the church is the result of stratified architectural interventions in the various eras and the last refurbishment dates back to the early decades of the 20th century. The interior has a classical layout with a single nave and the apsidal presbytery area, delimited by two large chapels, decorated with imposing Corinthian columns. Worthy of note is the prestigious musical activity that regularly takes place during the various cultural events held in this church. Of particular note are the organ concerts (the church has a magnificent instrument) of the highest artistic quality.

(Translated by Google) Historical building. The Duomo di San Lorenzo in Abano Terme, a church dedicated to Saint Lawrence, is one of the central churches of this small spa town near Padua, Italy. Its history goes back several centuries, as the town of Abano Terme has been known for its thermal springs since Roman times, and the church has played an important role in the life of the local population throughout history. Church of St. Lovrenca was rebuilt and renovated several times, and it got its present form in the 18th century. The interior of the church reflects the characteristics of the Italian Baroque, with a richly decorated apse, works of art and frescoes adorning the walls. The most important work of art in the church is the painting of St. Lawrence, the patron saint of the church, known in Christian tradition as a martyr, killed during the persecution of Christians in the 3rd century. The Duomo di San Lorenzo is not only a religious building, but also a historical symbol of the city, appreciated by locals and visitors as a place of prayer and spiritual gathering, as well as a witness to the rich cultural heritage of Abano Terme. Despite the fact that they close the doors at 12:00, they politely let us finish the tour. And they didn't mind taking pictures either. (Original) Zgodovinski objekt. Duomo di San Lorenzo v Abano Terme, cerkev posvečena svetemu Lovrencu, je ena izmed osrednjih cerkva tega majhnega zdraviliškega mesta blizu Padove v Italiji.

(Translated by Google) The cathedral, begun in 1780 and designed by Domenico Cerato, was finished at the end of the 19th century and consecrated in 1935. The neoclassical style façade from 1905 was rebuilt in 1967 in neo-Romanesque style. On the facade the elements that characterize the four evangelists stand out: the ox, the eagle, the lion and the angel, works by Luigi Strazzabosco. The larger one is furnished by the tabernacle of the Blessed Sacrament and on the counter-façade two statues from the destruction of the Paduan church of Sant'Agostino depicting Faith and Hope created by Domenico and his son Tommaso Allio,[2] and purchased before 1822 by the archpriest Gaspare Motti.[9] The altar paintings have different dates. The seventeenth-century painting is by Alessandro Maganza: Saint John the Baptist, and the canvas by Antonio Zanchi depicting Saint Joseph with Child is from the same period. Bartolomeo Litterini's canvas with the Flagellation of Christ is dated 1712, while there are two paintings by Pitocchetto: Christ in Glory with Saints and San Lorenzo.[2] (Original) Il duomo iniziato nel 1780 su progetto di Domenico Cerato fu terminato alla fine del XIX secolo e consacrato nel 1935.

Numerous valuable works are kept in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, including paintings, sculptures and sacred furnishings. The High Altar, the Tabernacle of the Blessed Sacrament and the sculptures representing Faith and Hope by Tommaso and Domenico Allio come from the church of Sant'Agostino in Padua, demolished in 1819 by order of the Austrian government. We were four adults and three children, went for lunch. We had pizza except for one kid who had the burger. We drank water. At the end we had three coffees: a macchiato, a lungo and a normal espresso. The last should have been a macchiato with plant based milk but there was none. Also one of the guests would have liked to have fruit juice together with her pizza but was met with denial. Except for this all was perfect, especially the food. The pizza was outstanding and the burger was stellar.

Ristorante Pizzeria El Gaucho is situated in a picturesque rural setting with a spacious and well-furnished outdoor area. The service provided by the staff is prompt, courteous, and helpful. The menu offers an excellent variety of dishes including delicious pizzas and pasta options. Additionally, the restaurant provides complimentary breadsticks, bread, and crackers while patrons wait for their orders. There is ample seating available with a large parking lot nearby.
They say: eat where the locals eat, and here you do. I didn't see a non Italian license plate except my own, and they had one menu in English, but the service was excellent. All the staff was running to keep up as the place was absolutely packed. Pizzas were this with a crunchy crust and great topping. Very tasty. I would recommend a visit to anyone staying in the area. We will be back.

I'd like to say that it was a nice dinner, but the service was so poor. I was very disappointed. After having finished eating, I waited for over 15 minutes before I just asked to have my plate cleared. Then another long wait to ask if I wanted something else. Very disappointed. Shameful, bc the pasta was good.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location, right in the middle of Colli. The waiters are nice people and work really hard, but because the place is so crowded, they don’t have time to give you proper attention. The service is very fast, it feels more like a factory than a restaurant. They offer many different kinds of food, but that affects the quality. For example, we had pizza, and I didn’t really like it. Overall, the atmosphere gave me anxiety, and I wouldn’t go back.

I am very curious how the owner will respond to this review - seeing his slightly aggressive reactions to the previous (bad) reviews. We were served by a lovely female waiter. She was the best part of the entire Mamma Perdonami experience. We decided to visit this restaurant based on the good reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately the food was not as expected. The bread served was dry and old. We shared antipasti. Bread with gorgonzola and 2 slices of parma ham for €14 euros - overpriced. The second dish we had was the tortellini with pumpkin which was fine. We ordered 2 pizza's as main dishes. Unfortunately the pizza menu was only available in Italian so we decided to order what our waiter recommended. One of the pizza's had shrimps covered with ham, this pizza was too wet which made the dough soaked. The other pizza was with ham and ricotta. I didn't see ricotta on this pizza and it had a pumpkin base. This pumpkin base really ruined my appetite because it made the entire pizza taste bad. The waiter apologized she didn't tell me about the pumpkin base and said she would take it off the bill. After discussing with the kitchen/owner they decided to charge the full price for the pumpkin pizza anyways even though I only tasted one slice. Ok strange but I didn't make a big deal about it. The thing that really annoyed me is that this restaurant also charges a "Coperto". This is an Italian tradition where you pay for linnen, glasses, cutlery etc. However in this restaurant I eat from a plastic placemat and I got a paper napkin. How do you dare to ask for "Coperto"? Dear other visitors - please be warned.
