Small, lovely with beautiful views. I loved it. However, the cruise from Bandol costs 17 euro per person which is a bit too expensive for 300 meter distance.

(Translated by Google) Small typical island in the same style as the island of Embiez, with a Paul Ricard touch. The tour of the island is done in half an hour, the beach is very small and located on the land side and the sea side. Far too many paths covered in concrete. Numerous excellent restaurants With large coast terrace. The price of the boat is a bit exorbitant considering the short distance. (Translated by Google) We went to Bendor Island for sunset and were not disappointed! Absolutely magical place outside of time and the tourist atmosphere of Bandol. Absolutely stunning scenery (mainly Neptune's Garden). I also recommend the small workshops of local creators. The island also has a few restaurants where it is even possible to dine (the last shuttle to Bandol is after midnight). Plage de Renécros is a stunning urban beach located near the town center, offering a secluded and idyllic experience. The beach features clear turquoise waters and fine-grained sand, creating a pristine natural cove perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Accessible via stairs or a nearby parking lot, it provides easy entry to the sheltered bay with no boats in sight. Families can enjoy shallow water areas while professional swimmers have ample space.
A very nice beach located in a perfect area, it is sandy and has plenty of space for you to lie down and enjoy. We just parked up on the roadside and walked down, which was super convenient. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

The beach itself is magnificent, and quite large. It took me a moment to find the "hidden" access to the beach. The path is not wheelchair accessible since it has steep stairs with sharp turns. The water level is not too deep, it moderately becomes deeper. When I arrived at the beach it was very crowded — despite its size but I managed to find myself a spot right at the rubbish bins. Overall the beach is suitable for families w/kids but if you're on your own — seeking a more peaceful experience — there are better alternatives nearby.

Very nice beach with view. We got it on a windy day but still recommended to visit and swim in Bandol
Anastasiia K — Google review
We walked here from our Airbnb about 20 minutes away. It was crowded - but not more than you would expect in the summer when it is 90 degrees (F). Earlier in the day the angle of the sun creates some shade by the wall which was nice to have. Beach had a nice breeze and there were rocks to put on your blankets / towels so they stayed in place. Water was calm and colder than expected - but very refreshing!

Beach to swim. Watch out for jelly fish; we had seen 4 and there's no official warning or such, even though you'd expect it. Ask people before entering. Common jelly fish is the pelagia; its bites can be quite nasty and even have allergic outcome. Use a mix with salt water & bicarbonates.

Parc du Capelan is a family-friendly park located by the seaside, offering a picturesque setting for a day out. The park features lush trees, providing shade and a relaxing atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy stunning sea views and engage in activities such as playing boules. Additionally, the park offers amenities like tennis courts, children's playgrounds, and access to beaches and hiking trails.
Great small park to walk, to hike, to run & to swim in the sea on the way. It offers tennis courts, children playgrounds, beaches & short hiking trail. There used to be a beautiful cafe right on the trail, but now it is under reconstruction after a strong fire. You may see stairs in some places leading to the sea. If you have a chance use them to swim in the peaceful corner. If you have a mask you will be able to see beautiful underwater rocks, fish & seaweeds. Early in the morning there is a beautiful view over the shore & Capelan peninsula. Same in the evening before the sunset.

If you're yearning for a Mediterranean escape, look no further than Restaurant Les Oliviers. Nestled in the stunning Bandol region, this culinary haven invites you to savor exquisite local specialties and contemporary dishes inspired by the treasures of the Mediterranean. Under the creative guidance of a talented chef, each plate is a harmonious blend of flavors that showcases locally sourced ingredients, including fresh fish and artisanal cheeses.
A truly fantastic gem of a restaurant. Chef Jérémy Czaplicki and his team offer great menus that are properly themed and very delicious. A fantastic service and sommelier as well as the unique view (make sure, weather permitting, to sit outside) make this an absolute highlight.

Very nice restaurant in one of the most beautiful Hotel of Bandol. The chef started in 2018 and brought his cuisine to this place. The menu is mainly based on fish and every dish is very well balanced between taste and acidity. The ingredients are all locally selected, even the cheese and the jelly. The main room is a bit old but the personnel is nice and welcoming. Come early to enjoy the sunset, it will be a wonderful moment.
Kirlo90 — Google review
We have been to les oliviers a few weeks ago for my partner's birthday. We didn’t enjoy this dinner. We took a menu. All courses are made with fish so if you are vegetarian or you don’t like fish this is not a place for you. Also, they don’t have a lot of options so check the menu carefully before going there. My wife loves deserts and she was very disappointed. They only have 2 deserts and they are not great. The waiters made me remember how we are not welcome in France. We booked a table explicitly requesting a nice view but when we arrived they said all tables with nice views are not available. However, those tables stayed empty the whole evening until 11pm when we left! Not only they gave us a table with the worst view, they are so unprofessional that they thought we were 2 instead of 4, although I received a written confirmation my booking was for 4! This is unacceptable! Overall, this restaurant is overrated (probably due to its location in a touristic area). I tried many restaurants without Michelin stars that are way better than this one.
ActiVPN P — Google review
Amazing experience. The whole team was top notch, food, view, worth it.
Dimitar V — Google review
A shame I can’t give a better rating but everything was wrong.... we booked through the “fourchette app” and they called us to say that it was fully booked despite having received a confirmation from the “fourchette”. Thus we went the day after and arrived at 8:30pm. It took them 40 min to give us the menu and their excuse was “sorry but we don’t have enough and you all came at the same time”. Not to mention that the Martini Cocktail that we ordered (specifying with Hendricks Gin) arrived and it was ...a white martini! They said that we didn’t express ourself properly. We took the 6 courses Menu and the entire experience was not “Michelin star”... food was okeish, most of the time cold or with a real lack of taste. The explanations were just “not existing” and we couldn’t understand most of the waiters.... The wines “matching” the food were simply average wines (2 of them being rosé). A shame because we did 2 other Michelin During our stay at the Castellet and they were really really excellent. This one doesn’t deserve the Star. My advise would be to take less people and really offer a Michelin Service. The I Spector should go at high season and the Star will be gone... I hope they will step change their approach. PS: we do speak French since we are Swiss.

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming streets of the old town, Le Shardana is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully marries Sardinian flavors with seasonal local ingredients, all within a cozy French bistro ambiance. Each dish is crafted with artistic flair, making your dining experience feel like an indulgent feast for the senses. The menu offers a competitive selection at 45 euros for three courses—starter, main course, and dessert—allowing guests to explore various delectable options.
Fine dining without being overly pompous. I’m not sure if it’s fair calling Le Shardana a hidden gem but I’m for sure ever grateful that we’ve found this amazing restaurant. They featured a simple menu with 3 options each for starter, main, and dessert. There were no bad options, every course and every dish was perfect. Seemingly there was only the head chef and the waitress running the show but they still managed to mesmerise 8 or so tables of people like clockwork. There was great attention to detail, everything was beautifully presented and the flavours were exceptional. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Patrik M — Google review
Beautiful food, 3 courses menu with 3-4 options to choose each for €54. The quality and flavours were amazing. The service was extraordinary, our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel very welcome even when we didn’t speak French.

Just eat here!!! The best food we've eaten on our trip hands down. Everything we were served was absolutely delicious. The chef paid special attention to my husband's allergies. Do not hesitate stop by if you are in the area.
Ambre M — Google review
This is a typical French restaurant with a price competitive menu for 45 euro with 3 choices per course: starter, main and dessert. Although I had not understood this from the name but the restaurant has a Sardinian focus. We were a party of four so we selected each dish at least once. All of the dishes competed for best choice. We had a lovely bottle of white wine from Sardinia, Tenute Olbios 'Lupus in Fabula' for 50 euro. As a seasoned traveler, I can recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly. This is one of the best meals I have eaten and can withstand tough competition. In terms of price quality, this is the best restaurant in Bandol. Be sure to make a reservation (by phone or on site) as many customers had to be turned down while we were there, although they all made reservations for the days ahead.
Filip B — Google review
Tasty sardinian and italian food. Delicous products such as truffle, artichoke, pecorino, guanciale, olives etc. Some amazing compositions of flavours. A wide range of wines, from Sardinia and Italy. Everything was nice, creative even spectacular for desserts. The waitress was kind and the service, quick. Perfect restaurant. I highly recommend.

Surprise. So good, but not in the red guide. Yet better than most red guide recommendations nearby. Friendly sardinian/french couple cook up a storm of sardinian provencal fusion with flair.

Nestled in the charming rue du Dr Marcon, Au Clair de la Vigne is a delightful bistro that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This hidden gem stands out for its commitment to fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, transforming them into creative dishes that are as elegant as they are flavorful. The menu changes every few days, ensuring a diverse selection of Mediterranean French cuisine that keeps guests coming back for more.
The dishes are prepared with fresh local ingredients and staff were very friendly and professional. Everything is freshly prepared, and well served, but personally I thought the BBQ sauce( homemade) was a bit overpowering the porc fillet…. Michelin star worthy. Recommend.

A little gem! on the back street so you'll have to surrender your Seaview, but you'll gain a marvellous culinary experience. A short menu, brilliantly executed with a creative twist. A very interesting wine list well priced. Go for the menu, and share the cheese plate (unmissable!) and dessert. Book in advance, it's a small place. And show up or cancel if you can't make it.

A true gem! Located in a quiet pedestrian street away from the touristy waterfront, this lovely bistro offers amazingly delicious food and great wines at a very decent price. Menu is written on the board and updated often, so one can enjoy different things if visiting more than once. Mediterranean french cuisine, original, tasty dishes with wonderful fresh seasonal ingredients, and very friendly service with perfect timing. Really a great choice to have dinner when visiting Bandol.
Maja L — Google review
Having eaten at many Michelin star restaurants, I would say that this restaurant does deserve its star. The highlight was the egg parfait starter. The main course of lamb was perfectly cooked, and the peach and nectarine dessert was very fresh and refreshing. The wine choices were excellent and the proprietor is clearly an expert in wines. We were served by two people, an older man and a younger man. The older man, who I took to be the proprietor, was courteous and kind and very patient with our attempts at French. The younger man was quite different. When we arrived, he corrected our French when ordering items - I took this in good spirit, as I would like to improve my French and so tried to take his tips on board! It was all a bit bizarre thereafter. He poured water very close to my husband's head into a flower bed (the water which had been in another table's wine chiller). I dismissed this as a bit of a relaxed moment on his part and thought that it was quite funny - however, he did it again later in the meal and I started to think that it was something deliberate (and rather childish). He also brought our main course over to our table, but then hovered the plate in his hand about one inch from the table in front of my husband while turning to talk to the table next to us. I again let this go, but subsequently he put two wine glasses down on the table and then turned round to talk to the other table without pouring the wine. It was all a bit odd and not what you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant (or any restaurant for that matter!). This man's behaviour was somewhat dismissive and rude. I don't know what it was, whether that we are gay or British (or both!), but I have never experienced anything like this in any restaurant. I hesitated to write this review, as the food is excellent and the service from the older man was courteous and pleasant. However, if there is an element of discrimination, I feel that it is important to record it and maybe it can be improved on, as the food is great!

Michelin recommended for a reason, and relatively affordable. The strawberry tart was my favourite dish.

Overall, the food was probably the best out of all the restaurants we visited on our trip in provence (especially the bread). The yellowtail tartare/carpaccio, however, didn’t smell very fresh, and caused food poisoning the next day. You have to be a bit patient as they are short staffed.

Absolutely incredible food and fantastic atmosphere. This restaurant offers a wonderful menu (that changes with the season) using locally sourced products. The menu is expansive enough to make the choices difficult, but rest assured that everything is cooked to perfection. Also with so many delicious options it just makes returning the next night even better. Highly recommend this amazing place for dinner and exceptional local wine too. .. The best meal of our French holiday… and we’ve had some amazing food in the Jura and Ardeche. But this cooking was the very best.. delicate, sophisticated flavours, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and some lovely surprises: ceviche de liche was a revelation, the piquant sauce verge with the fish of the day accompanied by a comforting and satisfying risotto, praline crème in the Mille feiulle . Magnificent!

We had an excellent dining experience in this small but cozy restaurant. The food was classical French cuisine made from local ingredients with a touch of Asian cuisine. We also had great conversations with the owner and server, who also nicely explained the choice of wines, how he operates, etc. The main course could have been a bit bigger, but after having tried several entrees, it was enough. Everything tasted very good, definitely worth a try for locals and tourists.

Hands down the best fine dining in Aix. Tiffany was an amazing host. She seated the four of us at the "big table". She provided detailed info on the Bandol Rose and Red and wines. We had a bottle of each and they were exceptional. The food was bountiful and wonderful from a mind blowing charcuterie plate - the tomato tarttartaine with cheese ice cream is an absolute must. The fantastic mains - fresh fish, duck kabobs with apricot and a ratatouille risoto. All delicious. Our plates were licked clean. Just a fantastic experience far far above the other places we had tried the three nights before. And love to Naughty the lovable beagle. We gave the chef a round of applause when he ducked out into the dining room. Not to be missed.

What a meal, highly recommended. First of all, the staff is incredibly nice and speaks fluent English (not that common in this part of France). Then, and most importantly, the food was amazing. The starter is a must have: tomato pie with cheese ice cream. And the mains were delicious too: pasta and pesto risotto. Deserts were equally delicious and good wine list. A must if you are around this area!
