Tea house
Ziraat Tea Garden, also known as Botanik Cay Bachesi, is a must-visit spot in Rize for tea enthusiasts. Located near the Black Sea coast and Kackar Mountain National Park, this charming establishment offers a delightful experience of sipping Rize's famous tea and indulging in local desserts amidst stunning views of mountains and villages. The garden boasts a variety of tea leaves and flowers, creating an enchanting greenery-filled ambiance.
This garden is under the Manspality of Rize and has a beautiful small çay factory, you can see the process of making different types of çay manually, and you can enjoy drinking awesome çay in the beautiful garden under the trees . A must see place in Rize ❤️

A peaceful, surrounded by beautiful trees, for a cup of tea , and the children can play at the play area.

Nice experience although can be improved a lot. If I own this place I would create a tour to show the whole process of doing tea from cultivation until service. They have a nice cafe where they only serve tea and some beverages not more. I saw many families bringing in their food. Prices are really affordable
Noureddin I — Google review
It cool to go there with the family, great view , great photo spots and a play ground for kids , the most amazing the smell of the tea garden

Tea tea and more tea in turkey.. But this city it's known for its unique and delicious one.. Try it out here with the one of the most beautiful view of the city.. Spacious seating area.. Only serves tea so you may bring your food along with you... You have to buy some of the same tea from just out side the botanic garden there is a small shop ask them for the same tea you have just enjoyed inside... Loved the place.. Alot of families and friends gather there... Loved the place... Here you'll find the local people enjoying gatherings who are really friendly and lovely... Enjoyed it and you should while in the city... It's located inside the botanic garden... Sometimes the signs get you lost a bit

Came here 5 years ago and back again today still amazing! Beautiful nature, chill vibes. Rain got in the way a bit and we had to leave early, but still so glad I came back!

A very beautiful tea garden in Rize sponsored by the famous tea company, Çaykur. It is an open door cafe at an elevated location with lot of greenery around it. It overlooks the Rize city. It has a parking space. The service is good and the prices are low (1 TL for a tea cup). It has a Çaykur company store that sells all kinds of their brand tea packets for a fair price. It is highly recommended for visiting if someone is visiting Rize.

Rize Museum, situated in the center of Rize near the city square, offers a glimpse into traditional Turkish life and historical artifacts. Despite its small size, the museum is well-organized and showcases local living styles from bygone eras. Visitors can easily navigate through its clean layout and clear signage. Accessible from two streets, this free-entry museum provides a friendly atmosphere with helpful staff to guide visitors through its exhibits.
Müzekart geçerlidir. Merkezde yer alır, adres olarak haritadan takip edebilirsiniz veya sorarsanız gösterirler zaten. Çok begendim, hoşuma gitti. Yolunuz düşerse ziyaret etmelisiniz. The 19th-century building, also known as Sarı Ev or Tuzcuoğlu Mansion, was constructed with two storeys over the basement. Sarı House, one of the most notable examples of civil architecture, was subsequently transformed into a museum and opened to the public in 1998. The basement floor was constructed using stone materials and served as a barn and warehouse. It is currently used as an exhibition hall for displaying museum artefacts. The hall contains 17th- and 18th-century baroque-rococo style furniture and showcases. The first floor comprises a kitchen and guest rooms. Currently, this floor is used for administrative purposes. The kitchen, located opposite the stone staircase at the entrance of the museum, has been re-displayed as a kitchen. A large hearth with a large chain called clemuri hanging in the middle was used as the main element in the kitchen. The floor is paved with stone. Copper kitchen utensils are exhibited here. In addition, the mill where corn was ground was animated with mannequins. The second floor is the living quarters of the household. Today, it is organised in the same way and open to visitors. There are bedrooms and living rooms on this floor.

History: Reflecting the characteristics of 20th-century Turkish architecture, the house is an example of civilian architecture of regional and cultural value. It was built three stories above the basement, within a garden. The basement, constructed of stone, was used for storage. The upper floors were living spaces. After the proclamation of the Republic, Atatürk visited Rize during his grand nationwide tour known as the Autumn Tour. When he came to Rize on September 17, 1924, he stayed in this house belonging to Mataracı Mehmet Efendi, whom he had become close to through his efforts during the War of Independence. The house was later donated to the Rize Provincial Special Administration to be converted into the Atatürk Museum (Mehmet Mataracı Mansion) on the occasion of Atatürk's 100th birthday. It was restored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on December 27, 1985, converted into a museum, and opened to the public. (Original) Şimal AVM’nin yan tarafında bulunmaktadır. Müze ücretsizdir. When I walked in, I told whoever was there that I was coming from America. He took me toward the kitchen and served a mix I would never order for myself: I believe it was et yemeği. Stewed beef, the creamiest beans ever, and a delightful stuffed grape leaf roll. The sütlaç was so sweet and so creamy, almost like a sweet cheese. It has a family-friendly atmosphere. I would say the service runs almost too fast, but I suppose that’s a good kind of problem! More great Turkish food once again!

Fish restaurant
If you're heading to Trabzon or Rize, make sure to give Dayının Balık Evi a try. The owner is incredibly passionate about his restaurant, particularly when it comes to seafood. Upon arrival, he warmly greeted and sat down with us for a few minutes. Not only was he friendly, but also very generous. The chef took the time to ask how we wanted our food cooked and recommended the best options available.
This is an unusual place. We were surprised by the hospitality and atmosphere of the place. The restaurant is near the Black Sea and offers guests fresh fish just from the sea. We ate 2 types of fish (fried), a vegetable salad and fish pilav. As a gift we got sauerkraut. Everything was delicious. It is December and it's cool outside. But inside we found a furnace that gave us it's warm after walking. The host was very attentive to us. So we got excellent service. We were the only visitors. Strongly recommended for visiting. And it is not hard to find. The restaurant is situated near the gas station GO Yakıt.

I ordered Mezgit (whitting) which was flavourful but the side pickles dish with caramelised onions is the highlight of the meal, I haven’t eaten pickles like that anywhere else. One of the best Kurufasulye I have ever had. I wish they pay more attention to cleaning. The plate I had was very dirty and I had to ask them to replace it. Then one of my friend found hair in her Kurufasulye and she didn’t even mention it for us because we drove all the way Husrev to try their Kurufasulye. Unfortunately it was a bad experience for us. Limited but Homely - "Hüsrev Lokantası", Rize At Hüsrev Lokantası in Rize, Turkey, simplicity takes the stage. The menu, while sparse, leans towards homely staples like beans with tomato sauce and meat or chicken kufte. While the limited range may disappoint those seeking a broad Turkish culinary experience, the fresh-baked bread and creamy yogurt earn high marks for quality and authenticity. However, most dishes fail to hit the mark, lacking the robust and vibrant flavours that define Turkish cuisine. The notable exception is their beans with tomato sauce, a comfort dish done right. In essence, Hüsrev Lokantası serves a modest Turkish dining experience, recommended mainly for bean dish lovers and those appreciating freshly baked bread and tangy yogurt. However, those seeking a diverse palate of Turkish flavours may want to look elsewhere.
