Anacapri

The Blue Grotto is a famous sea cave that can be reached by boat. It is renowned for its stunning bright blue waters, which are a result of the sunlight reflecting off the surface. This attraction is part of a larger collection of sightseeing spots and fun activities on Capri island, offering visitors opportunities to experience local culture, dine at great restaurants, find budget-friendly accommodations, shop, party, and relax.
It’s an awesome experience. We got the bus down from Ana Capri (which was an experience in itself…). The queue was about 2hrs long and it was in the heat down the steps but we bought water and fans from the shop you pass through. The boat tour is absolute chaos but brilliant fun and once inside the grotto it’s lovely and you get serenaded by the skippers. Worth the wait. They were all done by 2:30pm as the waters were high so best get there early
Danny W — Google review
The cave and the color of the water is amazing. It was an adventurous experience to change the boat . Quite a wonder that it worked out fine. The waiting time to get in the cave is really long und it was so tight in this small boat. Thank god I took a pill to prevent a motion sickness otherwise it would be a torture. Well, altogether it was an experience but it really expensive. I really don’t know for sure if it worth it.
Som M — Google review
It is an experience that is a "must do" if you are visiting Capri. We were there early at 8:15am, and were literally the 2nd group in line. They start the tours at 9am. They started a little early, and we were actually out of the cave and on shore at 9am. We had thought it was going to take almost 2 hours (which is definitely possible because by the time we were out, there were 50 people in the line on shore, and a couple dozen boats of people waiting for the small boats to pick them up 4 at a time to go into the cave).
Keith E — Google review
Very much a tourist trap, only do it if you have the means for it. Costs about 18€ per person and an additional 10€ for the boat rower. Also only do it if there is not a lot of wait. We only waited 15 min and didn’t know what to expect. The tour inside is only 5 minutes. Each boat takes 4 people and you have to duck down to fit inside the cave entrance. I would say you are not missing much if you don’t do it, there’s a lot of other better things to do in Capri.
Falene C — Google review
Clear blue waters. Mysterious coves. Light breeze. That's all you need for a perfect getaway in this paradise situated in Capri. The natives taking you inside the Grotto are friendly and welcoming, singing beautiful Italian parodies that touch your heart. The cave inside the Grotto dates back to the time when a Romanian king came to this Grotto by digging a tunnel for 90m. There a huge line for this but the experience itself is out of this world. Highly recommend!
Yamini K — Google review
The Blue Grotto in Capri is absolutely magical! The moment you glide into the cave, the sunlight reflecting off the water creates a glowing, almost otherworldly blue that takes your breath away. The boat ride is short but unforgettable, and the experience feels truly unique to Capri. The guides are friendly and add to the charm with their singing and stories. It’s a must-see—photos can’t capture the beauty, you simply have to experience it in person!
Sylvia D — Google review
Nature at its best. The color of the waters is surreal. Must see in person, well worth a boat ride there.
EH — Google review
€18 euro per person for entry and bigger boat ride to the site €10 euro forced tip per person on top to the smaller boat guide For one person, that will come out to €28! Not sure if it's worth that much especially since it's part of nature -_-. Feels weird to capitalize on this. I saw the boat guide stay near our bigger boat until the ladies in the boat with us gave him tip (I don't think it was their fault, I just don't think their English was that good so they probably didn't understand what he meant). Also, as soon as I gave him our tip, he immediately looked at it, which I thought was awkward and rude. I also saw the boat guides pass over taking certain people, and I'm guessing they're stereotyping people on how much they can tip. Also, THE WAIT! Even though we went there first after taking the first ferry to Capri, there was still an hour wait. If there's a wait, now I really don't think it's worth it, especially if you're there on a day trip. Me and my husband wished we skipped on the boat tours and blue grotto and just explored inland more because inland was gorgeous and it was just nice to stroll around. While the view inside was gorgeous, I don't think the whole experience was worth €28 per person. Felt more like a tourist trap.

Monte Solaro, the highest point on Capri, is a limestone mountain with the remains of a Napoleonic War fort and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the island, including the iconic Faraglioni rocks and even Naples and Salerno on the mainland. The mountain is home to diverse flora and fauna, including nesting birds like the Peregrine Falcon and unique species such as the Blue Lizard.
Nice chair lift to the highest point of Anacapri. 20 minutes wait line and on the top we sat for some cold drinks. Lovely views. There's not much to do, but it's worth the 14 euros PP for the ride.
Yuval K — Google review
Monte Solaro offers breathtaking panoramic views—you can see the entire island of Capri and beyond. Access is very easy via the chairlift, which is a lovely experience in itself, providing stunning views throughout the ride. Visiting Monte Solaro is highly recommended — a must-see spot for any Capri visitor.
Giorgos A — Google review
Cable car to the top of Monte Solaro, one of the best views from the whole island of Capri the restaurant there has great bread and wine and food and a little walk to the edge. You can see the Capri arches , this is definitely a must visit place take your time to enjoy your stay there the food, the breeze, the view the service even the music they play
Daniel T — Google review
It’s a very nice view. There’s not much to do in Capri and this is one of the things. There’s a little cafe at the top too.
Maddy A — Google review
I love the view. Very safe chairlift. It cost 14 euros per person. It takes 14 min to go up and 14 min to go down. U can take ur time at the top to enjoy the view and take pictures. U can try the restaurant overe there as well. By little bit expensive but logical. U can also have a walk down if you dlnt want to take the chair lift for the return. Enjoy your stay in capri
Kawtar B — Google review
Unforgettable experience at Monte Solaro! You reach the summit by a single-seat chairlift from Anacapri — the ride takes about 13 minutes each way, but it’s best to book in advance since lines can be long. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, a 360-degree panorama of the sea, Naples, and the island — truly one of the most beautiful sights imaginable. There’s a restaurant at the summit with amazing views, though quite expensive (we paid €7 for a cappuccino). Even the toilets cost €1 to enter, but honestly, the view alone makes it all worth it. A must-do experience on Capri!

Quick check. View was great and produced nice pics
Yehuda R — Google review
The view from the top is amazing. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the place is in bad conditions and not very clean. For the money they charge for the lift it could be a better experience.

Villa
Sights & Landmarks
Villa Jovis, also known as Villa of Jupiter, is the remains of a lavish Roman palace constructed by Emperor Tiberius in AD 27 on a headland. The site offers stunning views and can be accessed by foot. According to historical accounts, the emperor indulged in luxury at this mountaintop villa, adorning it with explicit artwork and allegedly engaging in scandalous activities.
Visiting Villa Jovis was an unforgettable experience. The site is rich with history, and walking through the ruins where Emperor Tiberius once lived gives you a real sense of the ancient world. The views from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking some of the most stunning panoramas you’ll see in Capri. It’s a bit of a hike to reach (about 40 minutes uphill from Capri town), so bring comfortable shoes and water, but it’s well worth the effort. The combination of history, atmosphere, and scenery makes Villa Jovis a must see for anyone visiting the island. Highly recommended if you love history, archaeology, or just want to enjoy some of the most beautiful views in Capri.
Euclides R — Google review
Visited October 2024. Approximately a one hour walk from Capri town the Villa is at the summit of Mount Tiberius - sounds daunting but not really. The path leading to the villa is paved/tarmac/concrete and is wheelchair (wheel) friendly. Having said that this is a two-thousand year old site, wheels would be very difficult once inside. A wonderful piece of history with a modest entrance fee and a relaxed atmosphere once inside. Restored in places but most of the structure looks authentically old. With panoramic views of The Bay of Naples including a fantastic view of Sorrento, if you make the effort you will be rewarded when you get there.
P B — Google review
A must visit for anyone going to Capri and interested in history. The ruins are not well preserved but still worth seeing and walking through. The walk from the port is not for the weak, particularly during the summer heat. Be prepared for equivalent of about 102 flights of stairs (per my garmin watch) to get there. Along the way, many grocers and shops to stop and get a refreshment to stay cool on the way up and dozens of places for lunch in the way down. Tip, don’t go to the places in busy touristy areas. Find a spot all by itself, there are many.
Sergio B — Google review
An large villa with a really interesting history. Read up on Tiberio Augusto before you visit and then let those stories come to life! Entrance is a reasonable price and the park next to it with the cliff top path is amazing. And ad its Capri through views are stunning.
Ben M — Google review
Get ready for quite the trek. A lot of stairs up and up hill walking. The history of this place interesting and the views were amazing, but I definitely would never do it again!
Natalie S — Google review
Ugo made this visit more than we could possibly have anticipated. Thanks Ugo! We happened to arrive in time for his post lunch tour of the grounds and we learned a great deal. His info and insight into the location and island were a genuine highlight of the trip to Capri. The villa itself is a surprisingly huge complex, with a major water collection system, strangely topped by a catholic chapel built above it before they realised Emperor Tiberius' palatial villa was underneath. Amazing views also from the chapel and the park next door where we saw goats for the only time on the 3 day visit. It's an uphill trek and there's a great 20min forest short cut across to Villa Lysis which is worth seeing in combination with Villa Jovis but bring a packed lunch or allow enough time. The gardens, houses and sleeping cats along the way made this an even better excursion. I started this review at 4 stars for Villa Jovis but the whole trip was 5 stars.
Josic C — Google review
Absolutely stunning views from Villa Jovis. The ruins themselves are interesting as well, but the five star views are the real reason to make the trek. There is another small park about 100m before the entry to Villa Jovis, which is worth a look as well. We stayed at Hotel Marmela and it was about a 35 minute walk along paved walkways and a few flights of stairs. The walkways are beautiful and very quiet before 1030 am. After that, you will start seeing the day tours. We were there at 1015 and were the only people at the Villa. 6 Euro entry fee and there are toilets at the site.
Patrick C — Google review
Worth the hike but be aware it is demanding with some steep segments to get there. The views are worth the hike. 6 euro entrance. Once inside you can walk around the site and take your photos. We did Villa Jovis first as soon as we got to Capri and then Natural Arch.

Museo Casa Rossa di Anacapri is a unique house built by a Confederate officer in the late 1800s. The Byzantine-style mosaic and Greek inscription at the entrance add to its charm. Inside, visitors can admire early 20th-century oil paintings of Capri and Naples, as well as three statues recovered from the Blue Grotto, believed to have been placed there by Tiberius during Roman times.
Amazing interesting place to visit. They have some sculptures from the 15 meters under the sea. Beautiful view from the roof
Anna B — Google review
The museum is not interesting and was a waste of time for us. The only thing of interest was a hall on the ground floor where we saw a few statues found in Blue Grotto.

Waste of time and money… Not much to see. The so called great view is just looking over all kinds of ugly roofs. I literally finished it in 15 minutes.

Le Grottelle is a unique restaurant located near the Arco Naturale, offering a distinctive setting against limestone rocks. The informal trattoria features a half-cave, half-terrace design with the kitchen situated in a cave at the back. It provides stunning views of the Li Galli islands and serves a variety of dishes including ravioli, local rabbit, and seafood specialties like linguine con gamberetti e rucola.
Hidden gem of Capri!! The restaurant felt really local, the staff is super nice and friendly with great food recommendations. The venue itself is breathtaking! You need to walk to get there but it is a nice walk and definitely worth it. Will come back again for sure!
Paola M — Google review
The food was really good and the prices not too bad for Capri. Unfortunately the head waiter was very rude to me, to the extent when I thought I had personally offended him (I didn't though). That really soured the experience. The view was amazing though.
Emily E — Google review
This is a breathtaking place to relax and lay back out of the Capri city center buzz, and on our way to the Natural Arch, a beautiful walking experience in our visit to the island. The restaurant is that a perfect location to enjoy the natural view and still enjoy a great meal and wine. The staff was very helpful, and even though we had minor issues in the service with compliments, it was an outstanding stop to recharge with a light and savory meal. Their salad and raviolis were just great! The facilities are great for a terrace feel, all about what Capri is about.

Absolutely amazing! The vibe and views were incredible. The fruit, pasta, and dessert were all so fresh and tasty. Highly recommended and well worth the walk!

Without a doubt the best dining experience we have had. If you have the opportunity to dine here, make sure you do it. Absolutely phenomenal! Our waiter Paulo, was wonderful and made our experience at La Grottelle exceptional.

Very nice location - splendid viewing over a cliff - a bit of a walk but less people around. Paolo was hosting us and for sure can be trusted with any kind of recommendation (wine and food) - the stuffed pepperoni and the pasta with rabbit were excellent. And the lemon tarte. For sure one of the best places on Capri - if you can reserve a table. Gracie !

La Fontelina is a stylish beach club restaurant with stunning sea views and a charming thatched-roof pergola, specializing in delectable seafood dishes. Situated right at the water's edge, it offers an array of fresh vegetable creations alongside its seafood offerings. As a lido, it provides easy access to the deep blue waters for a relaxing swim.
La Fontelina is such a unique and relaxing spot in Capri — definitely worth the visit! You can get there by boat or walk about 0.4 miles down a steep path and concrete stairs (be prepared for the climb back up!). The restaurant had great food and friendly service — make sure to book a reservation in advance. At the beach club, service is a bit more laid-back; you’ll need to flag someone down for drinks, which seems pretty typical in Italy, though a bit frustrating at times. That said, the staff was accommodating and the setting is absolutely stunning. A true Capri experience!
Rylee R — Google review
If you ever find yourself in Capri, this restaurant is a must-visit. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, with stunning views all around that make the experience unforgettable. The food is delicious and comes in generous portions, every dish feels fresh and carefully prepared with high-quality ingredients. 🐟🦀🥬 While the prices are on the higher side. A perfect spot for a special meal with an incredible view. 🌅🚤
Bussayaphan S — Google review
Do not come to this beach club. Complete scam. Waited an hour for the water taxi to the beach club. Tried to call to see if they were coming or not and it was busy every single time we called. Once we finally got there, we were told we have to pay €10 a person for the boat we just waited an hour for. When we saw the spot we were assigned, there were not even enough chairs for us. Just thin towels. We had a reservation for 5 people and there were 2 chairs. You do not get to choose where you sit and they do not let you switch spots. I have also attached a picture of the view from our section. We paid thousands of dollars for this beach club and it was the worst beach club experience we had in Italy. The minimum spend here is €190 per person. More if you even want an umbrella. Have never been more disappointed.
Emma S — Google review
From the minute you get a reservation, the excitement begins You are asked to make your way to small marina to catch the dedicated boat taxi to the restaurant €9 pp, lovely ride and worth it When you arrive you walk past the private beach, and secured to the restaurant The trick is get a table on the edge with a view which can be tricky The service was good, the fish tartare, shell fish pasta and the mixed seafood dishes were scrumptious! Views also to die for

My experience at La Fontelina was absolutely unforgettable 🌊🤍. The view of Capri’s deep blue sea is breathtaking, the atmosphere is dreamy, and the service is top-notch. Truly one of the most beautiful beach clubs on the island ✨

Such a wonderful experience. From the vibe, the staff, the water, the food and the drinks our mixed group of singles, couples and kids had the best time. We will be back. Everyone agreed our best meal after four days was at Fontelina. The seafood the pasta the dolce. Exquisite. Our waiter “Rustik””(I butchered that sorry) elevated our meal with his attentiveness, kindness and humor. The mixologist master Vincenzo made incredible cocktails with endearing humility, precision and authenticity (thank you). Everyone was great, but there is one stocky gentlemen whose name escapes me, but he was hustling from umbrella to chair to umbrella taking care of everyone. I hope he sees this because my group really appreciated the valiant effort; grazie. Great time and we all plan to come back. That local snapper will be in my dreams 😃. Ce vediamo.
Curtis B — Google review
This was such a cool place to have lunch and hang out. The food was delicious and you can’t beat the amazing views! The only complaint was I was hoping for a little more background music, as it seemed quite for a beach club. Either way this was an amazing experience and I would recommend coming.
Matthew R — Google review
We walked down to this beach club from the Hotel Punta Tragara and it was a beautiful scenic view on the way down, but quite the task getting back up. I would suggest taking a boat taxi or making sure you have really comfortable shoes for the return trip. Once we were there, it was a beautiful view with the iconic blue and white umbrellas. However, they seated us on an uneven area near a little cliff overlooking the water, and it was hard to get our chairs to balance there. I didn’t feel like the service was very good at our seats for drinks. They were very busy. We ate lunch at the restaurant and had some of the best Caprese raviolis I’ve ever had, but I was underwhelmed by the whole experience there. For me it wasn’t worth the hype.

Nestled on the cliffs of Anacapri, overlooking the electric waters of the Blue Grotto, Restaurant Il Riccio is a renowned destination for seafood lovers. Accessible by a stone staircase leading down to the water, this high-end restaurant at Hotel Capri Palace offers refined Mediterranean dishes and a carefully curated selection of local beverages.
Beautiful place with a fantastic view, exceptional service and delicious food. The rooftop where we waited for our table to be ready is very sophisticated, decorated with Christian Dior items, you can take beautiful pictures there. My favorite part was the “temptation” a room full of delicious desserts. A truly extraordinary experience! A little pricey but you are in Capri and everything it’s pricey!

We had lunch there. The food was good but flat in flavor in my opinion. I’ve been to dozens of Michelin star restaurants in Europe and the USA and elsewhere. Atmosphere was incredible and the views were spectacular.

We went to Capri for our little honey moon and it was simply magic. Il Riccio Restaurant was simply amazing. It was our first time. Great location. Sea view. Unforgettable. Food was great and staff very kind and polite. Top class!!!
Alessio C — Google review
The restaurant opened at7:30, but due to the bad weather we didn’t get to enjoy the view at all. The food can be extremely bad and good, for example the appetizer lobster taste so good, that even made the main dishes taste awful. The uni pasta is too fishy, and the octopus is way too overcooked that my friend couldn’t eat it.
Weiyang Y — Google review
A Meal to Remember for a Lifetime This was one of those rare dining experiences where everything came together—fresh ingredients, perfect execution, stunning scenery, and a touch of magic. The grilled sea bass was exquisite: perfectly cooked, flaky, and delicately seasoned. The sides — golden roasted potatoes, warm vegetable medley, crisp salad with olives, and sweet tomatoes with basil — were vibrant and full of flavor. The clams, in their delicate broth, added a wonderful coastal touch, paired perfectly with fresh bread. A chilled glass of crisp white wine elevated every bite, perfectly complementing the fresh seafood and sun-kissed flavors of the Mediterranean. Fun, upbeat music set a lively tone, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Sipping wine and cocktails by the sea, with a seagull gliding over the horizon, felt like a perfect summer day frozen in time. Elegant, authentic, and unforgettable — a true Mediterranean gem. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dining at Il Riccio in Capri is not simply a meal, it is a complete experience that begins long before you sit down at the table. The journey itself is unique: being picked up directly by boat and arriving at the restaurant sets the tone for something truly special. It already feels like you are entering a hidden paradise, where elegance and authenticity blend seamlessly. The setting is breathtaking, perched above the crystal waters of Capri, with views that make you pause and appreciate the beauty of the island. Yet, what impressed me most was not only the scenery, but the way the entire team orchestrates the experience. The service is absolutely impeccable, attentive without ever being intrusive, professional yet warm, always making you feel like a valued guest. As for the cuisine, Il Riccio excels at offering food that is authentic, deeply connected to the traditions of Capri, yet executed with refinement. Every dish carries the freshness of the island and the soul of the sea. The flavors are pure, clean, and perfectly balanced. Nothing feels forced or overcomplicated, this is Italian cuisine at its highest expression, where ingredients are allowed to shine. One of the highlights is how consistent the kitchen is. From seafood to pasta, every plate I tasted reflected craftsmanship and respect for tradition. There is an honesty in the cooking that makes it memorable. Combined with the unique arrival, the atmosphere, and the flawless hospitality, Il Riccio delivers not just dinner, but a moment you will always carry with you. For anyone visiting Capri, this is more than a recommendation, it is an absolute must!!

There is a direct correlation between Instagram popularity, quality and price, il Riccio certainly produces the photographs but quality is questionable and cost is excessive to the extent it's obsene. We ordered 4 drinks in the lounge upstairs which is decorated by Dior, the hostess admitted to being new, and sadly the Dior items had seen better times, and where apparently a year old, needs a refresh, cushions where scrunched and needed a wash, drinks arrived full of ice, despite asking for little ice, no lemonchello taste, certainly the spirit measure was below expected. Restaurant was nice and cool, vibe was nice e when we walked in with. Children and shown the back of the room despite empty table at the waters edge, we where given a table eventually, service was good but 98 euros for a crab salad, that was very small, is just outrageous, avocado was probably less than a half measure, the final straw, and reason for writing this review was the after lunch expresso, a double express requested, which hardly covered the bottom of the cup. We have discussed this with the JK management who made our booking, diners be ware.

The Taverna Anema e Core is a popular and classy night club in Capri. It is known for its live music performances and attracts celebrities and other well-known people to its dance floors. The club is open every night, and attracts a mixed crowd of locals and tourists.
The live Music was absolutely fantastic, full of energy and what a talent. Their energy was contagious. If you are in Capri and you want to have a night of fun, dancing and great live music you really should visit this place. Can’t wait to come back next time when I’m in Capri. 🌟

Fun time if you’re willing to spend $$$, but do your research before. We made the mistake of not researching enough and were slapped with a bill for €60/drink…and all we ordered was aperol spritz.
Courtney B — Google review
We had to pay 80 euro entrance and when we got in the vibe was good and the band was doing their thing, what they don’t tell you is that to dance on the dancefloor infront of the stage you have to pay an extra 300 euro otherwise you just stand behind a fence guarded by the guards to look at the people who paid dancing, so it’s more of a theater vibe looking at the party if your not willing to spend 380 euro per person…. Such a scam honestly, shame on these people running it!
Yehya A — Google review
For the price paid, the expectations were too high. In reality, the only goal there was to take everything from your pockets. The place was over, overcrowded to 3 times its capacity. I'm not talking about the prices that are generally unreasonable in Capri, unjustifiable, 5-star prices in a no-star environment, and with arrogant service. Maybe it's not their fault and these comments don't matter because the chances of the clientele returning are very small. So if you are thinking and have an extra 500-1000 euros in your pocket, go see a concert of your favorite band, wherever and whoever it may be.
Liridon P — Google review
To be completely honest, the prices here are extremely, extremely high. We each had two cocktails, and the total bill came to €240 — that’s about €40 per drink. Normally, I’d never say this, but in this case: it was worth it. If you’ve read any of my other reviews from Capri, you’ll know that we, unfortunately, had mostly bad experiences everywhere else. I even hesitated to leave reviews at all, because I felt strange writing almost only negative ones. But the truth matters — people deserve to know what to really expect. That said, this place completely changed the tone of our trip. Despite the price, if you can afford it — go. Honestly, just go. The concept is unique, the energy unforgettable. And while the fact that so many celebrities have visited is fun to know, that’s actually the least important thing about it. We didn’t go because of that — in fact, it was simply one of the few places still open that night. But it ended up being the highlight of our weekend. From the moment we walked in, people were already dancing and singing, and the place had only been open for about half an hour. I’ve never seen anything like it — such a lively, joyful atmosphere right from the start. The live band was incredible — they played a mix of English songs and traditional Neapolitan music. Normally I’m not a big fan of music in languages I don’t understand, but you could feel the emotion in every word, even without knowing what was being said. The musicians were so talented and genuine. The staff were amazing, and even the other guests were warm, friendly, and kind — something we sadly didn’t experience much elsewhere in Capri. After a weekend full of disappointments, these few hours completely made up for it all. I have nothing bad to say — not even about the price. Because this night was truly memorable. If you’re in Capri — go to Anema e Core. It’s not just a place; it’s an experience. ❤️ 1 note though - we went end of season (October) on a Sunday evening

You know the scammers in Rome outside of the Coliseum?- this is Capri’s version you need to avoid as a tourist! In Capri for summer vacation, stopped here because it’s the ONLY club in capri, told us it’s $80 euro per entry+a you're required to buy a “drink” ($50-60 basic shot or cocktail), also an extra $300 euro to dance on the “dance floor” with your $60 aperol spritz. If you are a geriatric billionaire on vacation with $500 spare change for an hour of weird vibes and overpriced drinks this is the place for you! If you are under 40 and want to drink and listen to music for less than you spent on a hotel for a night per person, you are out of luck (what is annoying is that this seems predatory based on supply & demand, there are literally no other “night-clubs” in Capri, literally a single other basic club with slightly expensive pricing on this island would probably kill.) We got pretty terrible hospitality at many places here anyways but since most people are coming here to relax and enjoy nights out- it’s best to plan around the fact that night life is pretty non existent here & bonus if you are American and also not White, you will get the same level of hospitality as your local 7 eleven (probably worse). If I could rate this 0/5 stars I would!

Welcome to Capri’s most expensive zoo — except you’re the exhibit. We thought we were buying into a fun night out for €80, but little did we know the real show was watching rich people dance while the rest of us stood behind a barrier like unpaid extras in a bad music video. Want to actually dance? That’ll be another €300 please — because apparently moving your legs in front of a stage counts as a luxury upgrade in Capri. Otherwise, you just stand there like you’re at some sort of nightclub safari, observing the VIPs in their natural habitat while security guards glare at you for even thinking about stepping forward. So unless your dream night out involves paying to be treated like a second-class citizen at a fake concert you’re not allowed to join, save your money and grab a bottle of limoncello instead. Way more fun, and no fences involved. Shameful, hilarious, and honestly deserves a Netflix documentary called Clubbing: The Scam Edition. On a serious note. Disgusting place.

Buonocore Gelateria Pasticceria Gastronomia e Tavola Calda is a renowned gelato destination in Capri, serving delectable sweet treats since 1950. Run by the same family for over 70 years, this establishment is known for its commitment to creating exceptional flavors that keep customers coming back for more. The aroma of freshly made waffle cones draws visitors in, reminiscent of a scene from a cartoon.
Hands down the best gelato on the island! Sometimes there is a queue, but it moves very fast! Beware: it’s cash only! 🫶🏽Make sure you have some cash on you, because you definitely don’t wanna miss this one!

This is our favorite gelateria in the world, not to mention the best pastries. We spent a week in Capri and had breakfasts and gelato everyday here. Giovanna, Alessandra, Ale’s young son, Maria, Ale’s mother, and the entire staff and family made us feel super welcome! Giovanna even went out of her way to make reservations for us. We love you and we’ll be back soon!!!

Unbelievable spot! Great coffee, pastries and seems so authentic. Go early to avoid queues. Pistachini (no photo unfortunately) were amazing!!

the BEST. this is the most authentic and best gelato I have ever had. I tasted no other ingredients other than the one listed and everything they used was fresh and organic. It was not those creamy and heavy ones but rather a super light, refreshing flavor and texture which was really great for the heat this summer. I would definitely go there again.

The best gelato my wife and I had during our honeymoon.. it was a long line to get our turn, but it was definitely worth it.. a little expensive but just pay, grab your gelato and walk around the streets - the atmosphere is perfect

Gelato with lemon and pistachio was perfect, waffles were even still warm when we got them! Pay inside in advance if you don’t have cash

Such an unpleasant experience. Bought ice cream, chicken cutlet and Coke Zero but they only allowed seatings for person who bought chicken cutlet and Coke Zero. Ice cream cannot be eaten inside the store at all even though it’s from the same store. Chicken cutlet tasted dry and ice cream was just normal. Overrated and will not return!

This was one of my favorite places we visited in Capri. The gelato was some of the best I’ve ever had and pastries brought me right back to my nonna’s house, with that same homemade warmth and sweetness. If you’re in Capri and looking for an authentic treat, stop here. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy something delicious and truly memorable.
