Outdoor Activities
Playa Morro de Gos is a popular holiday destination known for its golden sand, sun-bathing chairs, and umbrellas. The beach offers tranquility and stunning sunsets, making it perfect for a calm morning or afternoon. Visitors can also explore the old quarter of Oropesa del Mar with notable buildings and historical landmarks. The area features a variety of amenities including fruit stands, shops, souvenirs, and beach accessories.
A complete experience for everyone. Fruit stands, shops, souvenirs, beach accessories, seawall with two levels for strolling along the beach. Upper level perfect to view the beach, lower level providing easy access to all the shops and restaurants. Warning, during the day the lower level walkway doubles as a street for the locals who live adjacent to the walkway. Nightlife turns into full throttle around 8pm. Sidewalks become busy with activity as shoppers eagerly search for the exquisite replicas (dupes, fakes, counterfeits) from designer shoes to luxury handbags (Gucci, Prada, Tous, etc). Prices usually stay around 25 euros for most of the favorite items. Unlike the street sellers in Madrid, the street seller has no fear from the local authorities as it seems to be a symbiotic relationship, where tourists swarm the walkway purchase the dupes and then shop at the legitimate restaurants from pizza to fine dining. Interesting experience! Oh, the walkways are certainly tempting for a skater, although I only saw one actual skateboarder during my 4 visits to the walkway in August.

Jolly beach at the main part of Oropesa de Mar. A little bit narrow in some points but good quality of Sand. It is not comparable to the more virgin beaches you find when you move far away of Marina D'Or, but it is still a good option if you don't fancy driving and prefer to go straigh from the appartment to the beach.
Alex S — Google review
Very good place, there are local places to have a snack, supermarkets and shops close to the beach. During summer time they organise activities like yoga, zumba etc...

Great Beach This is a great place and beach but it does feel a bit smaller than some of the other beaches around. It is situated in the main part of Oropesa de Mar. The beach itself is a narrow, but the sand is great.
Paul V — Google review
My favorite beach in Oropesa del Mar. As you can see in the videos, on the right day it is the perfect place for you to relax, do your meditation or yoga, and enjoy the peaceful environment.
Rafa H — Google review
We have always had very windy weather on this beach. In addition, it is very narrow. In the end, we always switched to Playa de la Concha, which we thought was better in everything. Even just before the start of the season, there were no showers, deckchairs, etc., but that will probably change with the arrival of the high season.

It is a very big beach with a lot'of place to put your staff and the water is not so deep from the begining. Very nice place

Cala d'Orpesa la Vella is a hidden gem, located just a short distance from the town center. This small cove, with its crystal clear waters and tall pine trees, offers a tranquil escape from the bustling town. It strikes the perfect balance between natural beauty and essential amenities, providing footbaths and wooden walkways for added comfort.
Great view from either the Orpresa mural or the Oropresa Del Mar tourist sign. Ideal for selfies! Dont miss out on walking up the hill to see views of the Yacht club.

Cozy family beach with acces ramp, small waves and shallow waters. There is a swing to play with your feets on the water, that was great fun. There is a shower so you can clean the salty water when you leave the beach. I was only for half an hour there, it looks like there are restaurants and bars in the area.

Excelent beach for all family members! Not windy, great sand, wonderful place to spend all day at the beach!

We've been visiting for 32 years and return for the same reasons; clean beaches, clear waters and local shops to purchase snacks or sit down meals. Highly recommended the visit!
Benjamin A — Google review
Great beach, a bit crowded but with unique vibe. Love it!!
Artur J — Google review
Super. Clean beach , and a nice place to relax.
Ion V — Google review
One of our favourite beaches in the area. The sand slopes gently into the sea and the sheltered bay means the water is often calmer than nearby beaches. Plenty of nice bars, cafes and restaurants around the beach. A great place to swim and sunbathe.
Felicity J — Google review
Wonderful place to spend with friends and family. Clean sand and working shower! There is an option to rent an umbrella and a place! The best part are views around Next to the beach there are cafés and restaurants so you will not stay hungry after time on the seacoast.
Iryna T — Google review
It's a really big beach, with so much to offer, you can just go swimming or sunbath or you can rent a water bike and have some fun, the instructors are young and love what they do. It gets a little crowded in summer, but if you go in May/June or September it gets better.

A wide beach in Oropesa del Mar, with full facilities. However, the bay in which it is located makes the water more of a lake than a sea due to the lack of waves most of the time.

Restaurant
The RESTAURANTE PUERTA DEL SOL is a fantastic location for enjoying a delicious rice dish and other appetizers. The service is personalized, and the restaurant's modern decor adds to its appeal. With easy parking in the winter and a beachfront view, it's an ideal spot for a satisfying lunch. They offer an amazing bread with tomato and garlic-and-oil sauce to start, along with local white wine recommended by the waiter. Their cheesecake is huge and impressive.
We had our first date 2 days ago in Porta del Sol, after 2 days of travelling. The food was amazing, we had the best steak tartar ever. We ordered a brownie vanilla ice cream dessert, which turned out to be a beautiful 2 person, heart shaped, melting chocolate dessert with the brownie and ice cream hidden within the heart chocolate. The food was simply amazing and we are very thankful and grateful for the welcoming, friendly, open and good service. And a big special thanks to Brian, who made sure that all our needs were met. As two foreigners in Spain, we couldn’t recommend them more

Wonderful paellas. Thin, well cooked and served with nice allioli sauce (optional, traditional sauce made out of garlic and olive oil). Sat in the terrace by the beach in February (18C). All in all, outstanding experience. Something to improve: the timing of the service might have been slightly better adjusted for a perfect experience

Great place for a rice!!!! Arròs del Senyoret (clean out of shells) and some apetizers and easily you get a good taste of a Valencia rice (in this case dried, no soup)..... i reallly enjoyed the personal service, location in front of the beach, winter easy parking and modern decoration. Amazing bread with tomato and all-i-oli (garlic and oil sauce) to start. Good local white wine suggestwd by waiter. Overall good place to have a great lunch!!!! Huge, amazing cheesecake. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Gerard D — Google review
Food very nice, staff seem disinterested and off the ball for the price of the place. Whole experience overpriced for what you get, much more amenable places in orapessa. What's wrong with paper menus, phone apps don't always work, and who wants to share a phone around to look at the menu. Also if you're going to put cockles in the paella provide a cockle fork.

Sidreria Lasarte is a restaurant that offers delightful and commendable customer service. It provides a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. The beverages are satisfying, as well as the delectable small Spanish dishes served on two occasions. I plan to revisit this establishment tomorrow due to its welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. The staff is amiable, ensuring prompt assistance. The grilled octopus and meat are savory, cooked impeccably on a hot stone grill.
Very nice place at the front of the beach. Ordered mussels and Paella, marvellous. The kids food was also perfect and rare compared to what we could get. The chef came asking how was the experience, great that he took the time doing this, it shows engagement towards his job and the customers.

The woman who attended us was very rude from the beginning. We were not treated well, so we had to leave. I do not recommend this place — the service is terrible. We assume the food is just as bad. I added the photo so you cannot lie about it wasnt there.

This lovely establishment serves delectable cuisine with ample portions to satisfy any appetite. It is highly recommended for those in search of delicious food and impeccable service.
No vegan options on the menu but we had a vegetable paella made for us and it was great. Friends said that the sea food was very fresh too

I have a 3 year old who needed to use the restroom. The man outside said she could. We walked inside and were almost there when a woman with a ponytail came out and told us to leave to bathrooms across the street (which do not work). We would have stayed for a snack but since people can’t use the restroom here we left. Really rude, not kid friendly.

Very good food! - great service even though we did not speak Spanish .

I will never ever eat or drink here again, I was completely discriminated here today when I was intending to eat here. This lunchtime we went to this so called restaurant, we sat outside for a drink before going inside to eat, we ordered a coffee a beer and a bottle of fizzy water, the Norm is that when you do a small tapas is brought to you, two tables of Spanish clients arrived after us and sat outside both tables received Tapas, We did not. I spoke with the waiter he was totally objectionable, I told him he was being discriminatory, he laughed. I took my business to the Chulvi Restaurant. I shall be talking to the Tourist office tomorrow about this Restaurant.

Restaurante Chulvi is a Mediterranean eatery located by the ocean, offering traditional paella and seafood dishes along with refreshing sangria. With a relaxed atmosphere and a covered patio overlooking the beach, it provides an enjoyable dining experience. Their vegan option, Arroz de Huerta, made with artichokes, mushrooms, peppers and more, is delightful and exceeds expectations for vegan paella. The attentive waiter provided efficient service.
Real fresh, tasty and good food. Service is a little bit slow but you can enjoy a drink while you wait. The squid is superb

Well.... we were recommended this restaurant by a good friend, BUT ,as they and we found out things have changed, after booking via phone for 20.00-20.15 table, to be told " all tables start at 20.45", we got a table, place drinks order, we were 1 of 2 tables occupied in the restaurant, but drinks took 45 minutes, in that time we ordered food.....(we were told that if someone has potato's ,all must have the same, not mixed , vegetables 1 or the other?) which came very slowly in a ramdan order , starts with mains and some very late after the other mains dishes were finished, must of the food was OK, but the monk fish was still like jelly, vegetables, yes vegetables after we all had to order the same, came very hard ? , all at a total cost of 135 euros between 5 , not cheap, we hope things get better, but very good luck if you are going to give it a try,it reminded us an Faulty tower episode, when head chef got very drunk and Bazel an Manwell gave it a go. As per other review, they must still have 10 year old cooking thier....3 weeks ago. All for the above gave us a good fun night out, we will talk about it for years.

Overall a good experience. The appetisers were generously portioned and used fresh ingredients. The fideuá was really good but the arroz a banda was overcooked. The service was friendly and nice.
Stefan T — Google review
There are some dishes which truly show if someone can cook. In every southern Spain restaurant, it’s rice with veggies -calling it a paella is already a red flag- mostly because it’s much harder to make than a standard one, where lots of flavor comes from meat fat. In “Chulvi” the veggie rice test is passed - not only it’s named correctly, but it’s absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, resting on a crispy socarrat, not too greasy, not too salty, featuring ideal amount of veggies - the list goes on. The service was professional and polite, and the views - lovely, overlooking Playa de la Concha. To top it all off, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, making “Chulvi” the place to go if you’re in the area and in the mood for rice.

Located at the beach, the restaurant has a great view, really enjoyed our stay at the terrace. The waitress is very kind. Regarding the food, the bruschetta was great, aI recommend the home made aioli with bread. Paella was fine.

We had the vegan paella - Arroz de Huerta. I've never had such a lovely paella and I never knew vegan paella could taste so good. There were artichokes, mushrooms, peppers and many more. The waiter who served us was very attentive and also very quick.
Nur B — Google review
The terrace was divided into two sections: one for dining and one just for drinks. We asked if we could have dinner, which was confirmed, but since we arrived a bit early, we decided to have a drink first. Even then, we were not allowed to choose our own table. Shortly after, a Spanish family arrived and they were immediately seated in the dining area, while we were told to wait another thirty minutes. This felt quite unfair and inconsistent. To be fair, the food was tasty and enjoyable. However, the lack of friendliness and poor customer service really spoiled the experience.

This place is known for serving the best tapas in town, with delicious flavors and a great selection of wines at reasonable prices. The service provided by Daniel is also top-notch.
