The Museo Casa de las Bolas showcases remarkable engravings by Dali, depicting Dante's Divine Comedy. It is surprising to discover these artworks in the museum. Additionally, the museum boasts other floors dedicated to classical themes and a diverse range of landscapes. An elevator facilitates easy access for visitors. The visit comes highly recommended, especially since photography is not allowed, making it imperative to see it in person. Moreover, the building itself is intriguing, hinting at its previous uses.

In the charming town of Aranda de Duero, Iglesia de Santa María la Real stands as a remarkable Gothic-style church built between the 14th and 15th centuries. The facade is adorned with a stunning retablo, while its impressive Elizabethan Gothic doorway catches the eye. The bell tower, once a defensive tower, adds to its unique character. Inside, visitors can admire a beautiful Renaissance altarpiece on the main altar and several baroque altarpieces.

(Translated by Google) The church was built between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th centuries, during the Late Gothic period (Isabeline Gothic style). It replaced an earlier Romanesque temple located on the same site, a symbol of the rise of Aranda de Duero, a prosperous city thanks to the wine trade and its strategic position in Castile. High altarpiece: created by Simón de Colonia and enriched in the 16th century, it combines polychrome sculpture and painting. Works by masters of the Spanish Renaissance (Pedro de Guadalupe, Pascual de Mena, among others). The sacristy and the Chapel of the Rosary contain notable examples of altarpieces and religious goldwork. Retable majeur : réalisé par Simón de Colonia et enrichi au XVIe siècle, il mêle sculpture polychrome et peinture. El Lagar de Isilla is a rustic rotisserie located on the outskirts of Aranda de Duero, offering a tasting menu featuring traditional lamb, salad, Aranda de Duero chorizo, and black pudding. The restaurant also has a popular bar serving bacon and sweetbreads. Visitors praise the spectacular wine selection and recommend trying the signature dish, lechazo (roasted lamb), as well as the roasted red peppers.
One of the best and traditional restaurant in Aranda del Duero. All of the food was fantastic, the lechazo is excellent and you have to reserve it ahead of time. Carlos, our waiter, was great keeping sense of humor couple with an excellent service. Great place and experience. It is definitely a come back.

The place serves good food, large choices of food desserts prepared with high-quality. Their lamb is the specialty, but they have good quality seafood, and fish would definitely go back. Price is reasonable for the quality and portions of the food. They also have a large wine list I do recommend this place.

Excellent Dinner and Great Atmosphere at Lagar de Isilla. We visited Lagar de Isilla yesterday and had a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is spacious, with décor that perfectly matches its character and surroundings — elegant, warm, and full of personality. It’s also very comfortable, creating a relaxed dining atmosphere. Service was excellent: professional, attentive, and efficient from start to finish. We shared several dishes: the cured cheese was outstanding, full of flavor; the bread was fresh and delicious; and the calamares in Andalusian batter were perfectly cooked. The lechazo (roast lamb) was excellent — tender, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. We especially recommend the roasted pepper salad, which was a highlight. For dessert, we tried the apple ice cream with walnuts, cheese, and compote, which was truly delicious — a creative and perfectly balanced finish to the meal. Portions are generous, the wine is very good, and overall it was a great dining experience. The dining room was full on a Saturday night, so we recommend making a reservation. Highly recommended.

Absolutely an terrible experience . We had already a lunch reservation for our group of 6. After seating down in the back dining room, the rudest waitress came to the table to take the order . Her attitude was so bad it was almost comical . Many prior reviews post something similar , I can only assume is about the same waitress . When she came back with our drinks we attempted to add some items to our order and at that point she turned around and literally screaming told us she was busy . The while dining room turned to look at her, it was surreal. At that point our group decided to leave , and screaming she said we had to pay for the water and “2 bites” of bread we had eaten, which of course we did. On our way out I attempted complaining to the manager but was promptly dismissed and not even offered an apology. We found another great restaurant nearby with similar menu and great service . I strongly encourage everyone to stay away from this place

We visited Asador Casa Florencio in November 2021, with my family and although it was crowded, the experience was impecable. We ordered some typical Spanish food which all is highly recommended: Cordero Lechal, Chorizo, Morcilla and others. Give a chance to this place, you won’t regret!

Apparently they don’t serve the lechazo for dinner, but we were pleasantly surprised by the set menu for Saturday 17 Feb (note: there are no ala carte choices for dinner). The finesse of the dinner dishes prove that they are more than a lechazo joint (yes though most would come here for the lamb), and I would put Casa Florencio on par with other fine dining establishments around Europe. The chef was adept & creative in the use and pairing of ingredients (uncommonly used in Spanish restaurants like Japanese bonito flakes, caviar, passion fruit sauce etc), while service was prompt & efficient. The only reason why it didn’t get a full 5 stars was due to personal preference: I’m not a fan of the fishy & salty bacalao in general though my Spanish companions loved it in the dumplings. My duck was tender & paired nicely with the orange sauce, but my companion felt it was too plain & dry. It’s not perfect but it definitely was a VERY good meal & the creativeness I saw would make me want to revisit for another experience. And at 33€ per person for 7 courses including bread, water & coffee, & 12€ for a bottle of wine - definitely worth it

Nestled near the bustling Isilla street, Mesón El Pastor is a charming eatery that has been delighting diners since 1976. With its eye-catching pink facade, this rustic restaurant specializes in lechazo, or roast lamb, cooked to perfection in a traditional wood oven. We may well be enamoured with Spain and Spanish food. But yet again we found a Prince of a restaurant in Aranda de Duero. The speciality of the region is milk-fed lamb slow cooked in a wood fired oven. This is served with a simple salad of lettuce and sweet onion simply dressed that is the perfect foil for the rich meat. A half portion suitable for 1 person was enough for 2 of us to share. But that was after a starter of local Aranda morcilla made with rice and seasoned, quite unexpectedly, with cumin and cinnamon. A delightful combination. And this accompanied by pequillo peppers. All cooked in their wood fired oven. We finished with coffee (delicious) and brandy and then orujo - shots of a herbal digestive. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English so she was able to help us with our choices. Don't refuse the local bread (round flatish loaf like foccacia) because you'll need that to mop up the delicious juices from the pequillo peppers and OMG the juices from the lamb in the cazuella.

Wow! The lamb was fabulous: it literally melts off the bone. And the jugo meat drippings need to be soaked up and eaten with the fresh baked bread; which was also fabulous! It was our first time eating lechazo asado and we came here as a recommend from a guy at a winery we visited. This place does live up to all the hype! But be prepared to wait if you don't have reservations. We arrived at 2:45pm without reservations, but were fortunate enough to only have a 25min wait time. The place was packed! And the staff were all cordial and friendly.

A reference place where you get the best quality local products, including the lechazo (unweaned lamb), focaccia type bread, own estate wine, along with local savoir faire and sympathy. No place to be if you are short of money but you pay for what you get in a warm and welcoming environment though. The hoven cooked lechazo is really superb and becomes a reference experience for your life.

Nestled in the picturesque Jardines de Don Diego, Restaurante El Ciprés is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Known for its delectable offerings, the menu features mouthwatering dishes such as lechazo (lamb), cecina with foie and sheep cheese, and homemade croquettes made with fresh milk. Guests rave about the juicy chorizos paired with white wine and fresh bread drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
Amazing food, best Asado I have ever tried in Spain. We started with juicy chorizos en wino blanco and fresh bread with aceite de olive 🫒 virgin extra. Then they brought the splendid and juicy steak 🥩 well made and hot with crispy well done potatoes. My partner had ribs served on a parrilla . The food was very well made and lovely. They then amazed us with a lovely cheese cake of arándanos and sour cherry 🍒. We truly enjoyed our food and definitely recommend the place.

We had a great time in El Ciprés. The 'lechazo' menu was delicious (and I had the best morcilla ever). My children were impressed by the croquetas. The service were fantastically professional.

We enjoyed a Saturday night dinner. We got there a bit early but they were happy to open up and accommodate us. The house dish of lechazo (lamb) was lovely and they offered different suggestions for the vegetarian member of the party. A wonderful mixed pudding selection finished off the meal perfectly. Fantastic, friendly and helpful service throughout the meal and reasonably priced

Nestled between the bustling Plaza del Trigo and Calle de la Sal, La Pícara Gastroteca is a delightful culinary gem that perfectly captures the essence of local flavors. This inviting eatery offers a diverse menu catering to all dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The creative dishes blend traditional regional cuisine with innovative twists—think glazed lamb bao with pickled cabbage and honey peanuts!
We reserved a table just less than 30 minutes before arriving to the restaurant. The place is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is amazing. The food was just to die for. Service very good and the staff were polite. I don't know how this place only has a 4.4. Honestly divine and worth the slightly more expensive price. I cannot find fault.
