The Charlie Chaplin Statue in Waterville, Ireland, holds a special connection to the iconic comedian. Erected with permission from the Charlie Chaplin estate, it stands as a tribute to his time spent in the area. The statue is not large and can be easily missed if you're not looking for it. It's located on the right side when entering from Cahersiveen. The surrounding park provides a nice spot for children to play while stretching your legs during a drive along the Ring of Kerry.
We flew to Dublin to join a bus tour of Ireland. Started in Dublin, drove around the island and finished in Dublin. Great tour. Got a good view of city and country life in Ireland. We stopped in Waterville to see the statue of Charlie Chaplin. He is standing on the hill overlooking his beloved sea side.

February trip. I imagine this is great in a better season, however, it is not worth making a stop in Waterville in the closed season. The beaches are better in Dingle, and the Circle K is the only place open. Skip the town in late February. Go when it is open and warm.

I loved Charlie Chaplin movies when I was a kid. Loved the slapstick. Stop off and share a moment with Charlie and take in the view too.

Charlie chaplain spent his Summers here at Waterville and so the locals have erected the statue in his memory. It's a nice stop along a nice stretch of beach, full of interesting things to look at and interesting people.

Beautiful Charlie Chaplin statue downtown Waterville. Very well made as well. This is here because this small town was one of Chaplin’s favorite place to visit in Ireland.

There's Charlie Chaplin's statue which is nice and great for pictures and then there's this gorgeous view of Waterville.

Pretty cool to see in the middle of a small town. Apparently Charlie Chaplin used to vacation quite a bit in Waterville.

Beaches
Our tour bus stopped here for a delicious lunch at a restaurant adjacent to this Waterville Beach. The beach is a beautiful place to take a walk and they have a heritage Trail that explains the various points that you see along the way as you walk.. The highlight is probably the statue of Charlie Chaplin who used to come here during the summers for many years.

Beautiful beach in Waterville. Lots of free car parks along the road with plenty of places to eat as well. Highly recommended for a stop for a swim during the nice seasons!

Lovely wee village. Great path for people with mobility issues and loved the gift shop with the yellow gable end. The only downside was the racist old guy with the accordian at the Charlie Chaplin statue who, in the middle of the conversation, started a rant about Ukrainian refugees staying in Ireland. Only the 2nd objectionable person I have met in my many visits to Ireland

A beautiful beach. A perfect place to play stacking stone game. There are enough parking spots nearby. There are also a few statues near the beach. The town and nearby places are maintained very well. On a shiny day, it’s a great place to walk.

Here we are on one of the beaches that reached across the Atlantic ocean to talk with those on a other shore.

Wonderful view - great statues of footballers and Charlie Chaplin who simmered here. Snap a picture of the most photographed house in Ireland.

The biting wind hits you from the get-go. Walk towards the promenade and stand still and listen. As the waves leave the shore, there's a gentle rattling and bubbling sound. It's the music of the pebbles grazing each other when the water moves them as it washes back to the Atlantic Sea. It's no surprise that Charlie Chaplin made Waterville his annual pilgrimage. You'll find a statue dedicated and recording his love for this tiny compact town. A must stop on your journey along the Ring of Kerry.

Waterville is a lovely seaside village on the Ring of Kerry. The views across the bay are spectacular. It is a popular stopping off point for the seemingly interminable line of tour buses that follow each other around the Ring but despite that, the place does have certain charm about it. The friendliness of the locals is legendary.

I recently visited Madeleine Maria Meriwether Photography and Art Studio Gallery in County Kerry, Ireland. It was a delightful experience as the gallery exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Madeleine's artwork is truly exceptional, capturing the breathtaking beauty of County Kerry with unmatched skill. The prints evoke a sense of tranquility and awe, leaving viewers captivated by their sheer magnificence. In addition to her stunning photography, Madeleine also has an array of diverse photos that showcase the charm of Kerry.
You must visit Madeleine Maria Weber's Photography and Art Gallery when you are in County Kerry. My wife and I have been spending significant time in Waterville during the past few summers. Last year we visited Madeleine's Gallery and we were so impressed with her work and with Madeleine and Greg's welcoming and friendly personalities. We have many friends that have visited us during our stays in Waterville. We take everyone to their Gallery and they all love it ! We bought 5 pieces from Madeleine. They shipped them back to the U.S. for us and everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. She includes framing directions for the larger pieces. Our framer was totally impressed Madeleine's work. We have everything hung now. We love them.....and our guests always comment on them. Make sure that you stop in and see these terrific people and their beautiful work.

Lovely gallery and varied photos of Kerry. We went here to pick out our wedding gift from family and had a tough choice picking out which one we liked the most! Madeleine was very accomodatimg and gave us good advice in our choices

We visited Madeleine's gallery this afternoon and had a lovely time. Madeleine was very welcoming. Her work is truly magnificent. She captures the beauty of County Kerry, Ireland as no one else. Her prints instill a sense of peace and wonderment. If you are in the area, make it a point to visit her gallery and ask to see her chickens too! I am looking forward to the day my prints arrive in the mail.

I had collected a few small examples of Madeleine's stunning work, but nothing prepared me for a visit to her beautiful gallery. Her large-scale work is absolutely breathtaking. Madeleine has a remarkable ability to see the magic in the world around us, and capture the essence and beauty of her surroundings. No one captures Kerry like Madeleine! Her gallery is not a place to simply stop by on the way to another destination. It is a destination, and one not to be missed!

We were out driving the Skellig Ring right off the Ring of Kerry and saw the 'open' sign for this gallery, so I yelled out to pull over. Madeleine greeted us and welcomed us into her gallery which is stunningly beautiful. She was very gracious and kind and even gave us a map and ideas on where to visit. We fell in love with her work, and the gallery does a really nice job showcasing the beauty of the region. Definitely make this a stop on your trip. Even as we were leaving she helped us turn out on the street and made sure no traffic was coming. Highly recommended!

I am glad we visited Madeleines home and gallery near Waterville, Kerry, Ireland in July. Madeleine has a story to tell about all her pictures and proves to be a passionate fotografer. We have seen the most amazing pictures from Irish/Kerry landscapes. I am a proud owner now of one of your pictures...Rhododendron. A memory that keeps reminding me of the beauty of Kerry nature.

I’m so glad I visited Madeleine’s gallery! Her art / photos are gloriously beautiful. A tonic for the soul to look at. Madeleine is so welcoming, I felt no pressure at all to buy, but she has pictures in various price ranges including beautiful cards. I recommend it to anyone who’s in the area.

A hidden Gem!!! A "must stop" for all travelers, who appreciate art and nature. Trust me! Shortly after turning off of the Ring of Kerry onto the Skellig Ring (itself a highlight of our trip), we noticed the Blue painted trim/fence of Madeleine's gallery. Our jaws dropped at her striking photos. This is beautiful photography to look at, and for those who want a unique treasure from Ireland, they are available for purchase. Beautiful work.
