Nice beach with nice restaurants and places to stay nearby. The town itself is not that pretty, but it’s cheaper than nearby beaches which you can drive and visit such as Camburi and Maresias.

Nowadays there's no Seaside walk by the beach as construction is going on and limited accesses available to enter the beach as the most of it is covered u der construction. Boiçucanga beach is very quiet and located in Central area in São Sebastião city, near Infrastructure and services around like Hospital, Mall, Restaurants, Gas Stations, Banks, Supermarket... the Sun sets by the water, so Outstanding Sunset by the Ocean, near other beaches around accessed by car driving through windy mountainous roads by Serra do Mar State Natural Park that is very well preserved, you can spend every day in a different beach reached by car and the furthest took around 30/40 min drive (Maresias), others we had been were Cambury and Camburysinho just next door with easy access and parking spaces - there's a river that separates both beaches and can be easy crossed with water covering by your chest; Barra do Sahy Beach - quieter small strong waves beach with a river that reaches ocean and little chapel crossing a wooden bridge with more difficult access and parking but near larger Baleia beach with easier access; Barra do Una beach - beautiful long beach with option to swim by the fresh water river or ocean side and easier to find parking space and access; Juquehy Beach that has very calm waters but one of the busiest and crowded areas with lots of traffic, ....and when rainning we either stayed around by the mall and restaurants nearby or drove around 1h (heavy traffic) to Historic São Sebastião to visit the Cathedral, Museums, walked around historic cobblestone streets and Restaurants. There are also Waterfalls trails accessible from Boiçucanga.

Beautiful beach, amazing waterfalls and people who I love and who will stay forever in my heart. Looking forward to come back very soon !

What I liked: - the town and the beach looked reasonably not too crowded, allowing us to find easily space for ourselves on the beach and at the restaurant What I did not like: - the town is in fact just a short road with some bars and restaurants, but there is not a real attraction to visit after the beach.

The atmosphere is the best feature of this restaurant. We ordered calamari and fried fish for appetizers. They were average. Not bad, but not great, either. The main courses were better. Being situated right beside the river was really nice. It's not enclosed, so if it's cold out, make sure you bring a sweater. There were always more than enough servers. I ordered the chicken with vegetable, and they brought chicken with rice. When we questioned them about it, they basically did nothing. Hence, there are only 2 stars for service. Be prepared for a walk, there is very limited spots for parking.

Great service, spacious place with gorgeous views on the river and the beach in front. We enjoyed the food (fish, pirão, arroz, farofa com abacaxi) and dessert. Recommended.

A lovely warm ambience. You can enjoy the food on the upstairs terrace which is a little more peaceful. The menu is extensive and has some great combinations of flavours. I ordered a risotto which was a special but unfortunately the prawns were severely overcooked. I asked for just the prawns to be remade and they were a lot nicer. I would recommend a visit.
