Aston Marina is a versatile venue that caters to various occasions. The spacious and cozy rooms make it perfect for family gatherings or celebrations, with attentive staff ensuring a seamless experience. The ample parking and kid-friendly environment add to its appeal. For couples seeking a romantic wedding setting, the exclusive use of The Boat House and its picturesque gardens offers an enchanting waterside charm, ideal for capturing unforgettable moments.
The food was excellent. The staff were very attentive, we were given a jug of water when we sat down at the table and when we had finished the jug a fresh one was brought to the table. Staff were very helpful in giving recommendations and checking our queries with the chef, mainly in regards to the gluten free food options. It was my birthday and we were brought a lovely surprise birthday plate over (chocolate writing, brownie and meringue), it was a very nice surprise and made the night feel special I would highly recommend Aston Marina and will definitely be returning

Spent a really lovely evening here. Enjoyed an early evening Sunday roast. They managed to offer us a table as walk-ins. Service from start to finish was excellent. Atmosphere lovely. Food delicious. Looking forward to returning again in the summer to enjoy the canal views.

We moored at the Marina for a few days, and we had a great 60th birthday lunch in the restaurant! Very good food, the staff are super and the setting is beautiful & very well landscaped. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant, slightly off the beaten track. Sunday evening visit, and selected Sunday dinner. Plenty of beef, but limited vegetables given. I assume that was because they were running low, which was a little disappointing, but the staff did give free extra vegetables when we asked. Nice place, worth a visit.

Went for Sunday lunch . Very well presented place . Staff friendly and accommodating. Variety of choices for Sunday lunch . Had a few problems cutting the food , roast potatoes, beef with blunt knife . They did accommodate and got me a steak knife which did help but still couldn’t get into the roast potatoes. The food did taste delicious. The extra sides cauliflower and mashed potato were yummy . It’s cost us £65 with two drinks . Non alcoholic. I would go back for a special occasion but maybe not the Sunday lunch . The location is lovely with seating outside and in Pods . It gets quite busy too .

Living in Stone this place on doorstep for a drink a cuppa or maybe food. Visited just the other day for coffee and a chat. Bar area was full of primarily ladies having a catch up which was great to see. All had got drinks. Ordered 2 coffees Americana and cappuccino. Waited 12 minutes ish. Drinks came Americana was a lovely cup of coffee but cappuccino wasn’t a cappuccino see pics below Bar staff barista needs training clearly. Up the anti please as there’s certainly by far better coffee in the town cheaper I think too and atmosphere buzzing. Good luck 🤞🏻

You won’t find a dining experience as lovely and exclusive as this dome experience. The beautiful scenery complemented our appetising and artfully presented dishes. Also, thanks to the courteous staff who served us that day!

Nestled in a charming locale, Little Seeds Restaurant is a delightful gem that should be on every food lover's radar. With its cozy atmosphere and rustic decor, this independent eatery offers an inviting space adorned with green walls and upcycled furniture, creating a homely vibe enhanced by the presence of cookery books. The menu showcases British dishes crafted from high-quality regional ingredients, with playful twists that elevate each plate.
Lovely lunch with very gentle, friendly and relaxed but efficient service. Full of flavour, fabulous quality ingredients, and extremely pretty presentation.

We went for lunch and the tasting menu was beautifully presented and delicious - especially the Mackerel starter. It was quieter than I expected for a Saturday lunch time but probably the time of year. I hope this gem gets the custom it deserves!. We will definitely visit again.

I had great expectations for this place but was massively disappointed. The food was the most beautiful artwork I’ve seen other than skinner in Marbella. The service was amazing. It was that good that they added a service charge of nearly £40. If you claim to be a great restaurant and have great service then let the customer determine the tip. I knew it wasn’t going to be a cheap night out but I was so disappointed. The atmosphere was sterile and so forced. The time between courses was infinite and to be honest we were bored. Never again

Absolutely fantastic tasting menu at Little Seeds. The food was delicious and beautifully presented (so good that we forgot to take more photos!). The timing was spot on, allowing us to really enjoy each course without ever feeling like we were rushed or waiting. We will be talking about that Isle of Wight Tomato for a long time! Thank you for a lovely evening - we will definitely be back.

Fantastic birthday meal recently. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. And their tasting menu is worth a try. Would definately advise people to have a meal there.

This feels like a restaurant that really tries to be a “Michelin” restaurant too hard. The plating is nice and the food looks pretty, but it tastes awful. The walnut and thyme brioche in particular is incredibly bitter, while the other courses are all far too rich and busy (presumably making up for the small portions). Feels like there’s too much going on in each course and the chef is doing what he thinks fancy food should be, without remembering to just make something tasty. We went on a Wednesday evening and there were maybe two other couples there the entire night, so not much atmosphere either. Never again.

Had a lovely evening at Little Seeds with my daughter. We’re both foodies and the food was divine. Every mouthful was a moment to savour. The staff were lovely and very professional they are a credit to whoever trained them and an asset to the business. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

We visited Little Seeds last night to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary, and once again, it was an incredible experience. We’ve been several times now, and Sophie and the front-of-house team never fail to impress – their warm welcome immediately sets the tone for the evening. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, making it the perfect place to actually enjoy a conversation without having to raise your voice. The wine selection was excellent, and as always, the food was absolutely outstanding – every dish was spot on. Little Seeds has become our go-to spot for special occasions, and even though it’s an hour’s drive for us, it’s always worth the trip. A perfect way to celebrate our anniversary!

British restaurant
The Wayfarer is a large, stylish modern pub located on the edge of Stone beside the river. It offers continental dishes with exotic flavorings and has banquet rooms available. Diners have praised the impressive and well-presented homemade food, along with exceptional customer service and a relaxing atmosphere. The vibe at The Wayfarer is described as rustic and cozy, making it a great spot for a hearty meal with family or enjoying locally brewed ale.
Booked for an early evening dinner 4.30 and couldn’t have had a better experience. Had a couple of drinks in the bar because we were early before we presented ourselves to the host stand. Fantastic table for two - very private. Dave, who looked after us throughout was excellent. Very friendly and very “down to earth” obviously has years of experience and we couldn’t fault him. Starters for us was the pigs and blankets scotch eggs and the croquettes. Both were superb 👌. Mains consisted of the Bacon joint with hens egg, black pudding and triple cooked chips. My wife had Panko Chicken. Both were absolutely amazing. All in all a superb experience and we shall definitely be back soon. Dave was excellent throughout and really enhanced the whole experience.

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! flavoursome and filling. The duck starter was particularly fantastic. Our only gripe was that it took well over 30 minutes to get a drink when we arrived. We could have had at least 2 rounds of drinks in the time it took for somebody to come to our table or get the attention of any staff. The restaurant was extremely busy, fab bust atmosphere but more staff were needed

We managed to book last minute and omg, the best decision we made! The food was incredible and the service was even better!! The cocktails were lush and nothing was too much Lucy was so lovely and personable - she really made our experience great! Considering how incredible the food is, the price is so reasonable Would highly recommend!!

Had a lovely Sunday roast here. We came here as part of our anniversary celebrations and were greeted with a card and a complimentary dessert which was a lovely touch. I was also a big fan of the Marlish soft drinks they served- great choice and selection. Our waitress Erin was lovely. The roast itself was great- my only gripe was the roast potatoes- they were way too overcooked and crispy inside instead of fluffy so you could barely cut into them. I think the staff were a little overwhelmed with how busy it was as we asked for extra gravy but it didn't arrive until we were half way through our meal and after we asked a second time. On the whole, beautiful food and lovely place. Ample car parking available.

Absolutely fantastic evening at the Wayfarer. As an incredibly indecisive person I struggled to decide what I wanted (as everything sounded great) our server Dave made some suggestions that turned out to be perfect. Great food and service throughout, and all the staff were incredibly attentive! Thanks for a fantastic evening!

Visited the wayfarer for my mums 50th birthday. The place was exceptional. Great outdoor and indoor seating area. The food was fabulous and the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Three of us had lunch on Sunday 30th of August. Ample car parking to the rear. The place was spotless. Toilets clean and well stocked. Our server was excellent they sorted drinks promptly and took our food order. We ordered 2 of the Chicken Pies and Duck leg as a main. Food arrived in good time and I have to say it was excellent. We stopped for dessert too which doesn't happen very often. All in all I'd highly recommend to visit but I'd book in advance as they get extremely busy. Service, Food and Drinks all 10/10 We will be back very soon ...

The Royal Exchange is a charming establishment with beautiful log fires and a tranquil ambiance. The landlady greeted customers warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere. It offers an impressive array of beverages from the Titanic brewery, creating a friendly and inviting environment for patrons. The pub is well-maintained and prices are reasonable, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a traditional experience. One must-try is the Plum Porter, which comes highly recommended.
Amazing pub, proper fire and Greta beer with a good selection of bar snacks. Love it

A proper pub! Comfortable, large selection of beverages including cask ale from Titanic brewery. Good atmosphere, and a roaring fire to help you thaw on those winter days. What's not to like?

The Spotgate Inn is a charming whitewashed local establishment featuring a lounge and two Pullman train carriages that serve as unique gastropub dining rooms. Located just a 5-minute drive from the village of Hilderstone, this surprising venue offers delightful dining experiences. Guests can enjoy luxury afternoon teas at Sandon Hall or have them delivered to The Agency for an indulgent treat in the comfort of their accommodation.
Afternoon tea was lovely. Plenty of food and a good selection of cakes! We sat in one of the train carriage. It was lovely and quirky. Would definitely recommend it.

Lunchtime visit during the week. We brought our dog, so we were located in a room on our own with no heating. We helped by lighting the fire and loading it with wood and coal. The staff provided an electric heater, but really it didn’t get warm during our visit. Food was ok, service was quick. Car park was empty when we arrived, but was full as a wake had arrived.
Neil S — Google review
Great place for a meal . Have offers through out the week £12 for 2 courses £16 for 3 courses. There are tables inside, two old train coaches but be warned it’s very nice to sit in them for meals but you need to be quite slim to do so . There are other places to sit . It wasn’t to busy but.would still prebook. Staff were friendly . There quite a variety on the menu . There were so old traditional puddings available like banana split and chocolate fudge cake with mint custard that we were pleased about . I had lasagna it was a bit dry as been over microwaved but was nice . I would go back . There is a free car park on a bank . Quite easy to miss the turning for the car park . Each of us spent £20 for 2 courses and a drink. It was great for a catch-up and a chat . We stayed for 3 hours . Wouldn’t be able to do this at the weekend as it gets quite busy from what staff were saying.

Lovely place, very quaint and romantic and the food is fine but the service is incredibly slow. Seems slightly disorganized so you feel like you have been forgotten. Worth a trip though. The carriages are getting a little tired these days so it could do with a bit of maintenance. Decent amount of parking. Poor choice of ale and didnt serve bottles of prosecco which seemed odd.You probably need to go here before it is gone for good as the quirky carriages are definitely an experience.

We called in yesterday lured by the sign 2 Courses for £11:95 we thought that was a good deal.We were seated in an old railway carriage please see photos alas it didn’t do what it said on the tin the options for the price advertised was a stater and a fish finger sandwich or a steak baguette. Not what we expected when looked at the menu anything else was available coming in at around £20:00 Sorry but maybe it’s me I see it how it is , money is tight at the moment so just beware. We tried the steak baguette is was dry and the meat was fatty. I had fish and chips and the batter was mushy and I had to look hard to find the fish. Nice polite staff that’s really only the good part of our visit. We called back and were surprised we had 3 courses for £14.99 That's good value for money food hot and tasty . The young girl worked her socks off well impressed. Give it a try

A fantastic experience on a rainy night! Our first visit and certainly not the last. Lovely food and surroundings, we expected the carriage to be great but it exceeded our expectations. Topping it off was the welcome and service from the staff. Thank you, Barry xx

We went on a Saturday evening with a reservation for 8. The place was freezing cold damp, hadn’t got the heat on knowing it was cold. They had 1 type of beer no Coca Cola and a poor selection of wine. Most the food on the menu wasn’t available because apparently they were ‘busy during the day’ knowing they had a table of 8. All the walls were damp and the paint was peeling of the wall. Didn’t bother to get food and had to get out of there. Don’t go there are a lot better places to heat 5-10 minutes away. Don’t go here!!!

It's ok. Kind of like a brewers fayre level but I expected more. We booked for afternoon tea. When we arrived we were they didn't have the 'stuff' for that and we should have told them in the comments box when we booked.. however there is nothing to say this on the website when booking. So that was a let down. We made rhe most of it and had food off rhe menu. Lasagne was good, pate was ok. But they had no bananas for a banana split for my daughter. Let down number two. They couldn't make the Eton Mess either so another let down. However the could do a strawberry sundae that was nice.. it contained ice cream, strawberries, cream and meringue pieces.. strange that 3 out of those 4 ingredients could make an Eton mess. Just felt non plussed by the whole experience. I understand now why it was quiet on a Saturday. Positives = comfy seats in the train carriage... oh and 10/10 for music choice. Asked what good beers they had, she listed morretti and John Smiths... so no good beers then? This place could be so much more than it is.
