The Museum of Archeology and History in Elblag is a fascinating showcase of unique artifacts from archaeological sites in the Old Town. The museum's collections continue to grow each year due to extensive excavations, with new exhibits regularly put on display. Some notable objects include a collection of medieval musical instruments, pilgrim signs, and wax boards used as didactic aids.
Large museum spread across two buildings. Helpful staff and some of the exhibits had English translations. Plenty to see and since effort has been made to use interactive exhibits to engage children (and adults). There's a moderate admission fee and a visit here is likely to take around two to three hours.

The building itself is stunning, and the atmosphere feels both educational and welcoming. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply curious, this museum is a must-visit. It's a place that leaves you with a deeper appreciation for Elblag's remarkable past. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our visit with our older children. It was wonderful for them to see the different rooms from various decades. We also loved the VR drive through Elbląg Old Town. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in the history of the area, early European history and second world war.

Excellent museum to visit. 3 hours at least!!!

Decent museum with a nice variety of items on display but the main attraction was the Viking long house and the people inside that were sharing what life was in those days. Everything from era appropriate chloathing to weapons and living quarters. Good Sunday visit and great for all ages as there's something to see and to do for everyone. Totally recomand a visit.

View from the top is amazing but be ready for the climb!! The ceilings are low and there are A LOT of steps
Kelli P — Google review
St. Nicholas Cathedral is a remarkable piece of history and architecture, standing tall as a symbol of the city's heritage. The cathedral's impressive design and serene ambience make it a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Elblag. In the past, visitors had the unique opportunity to climb the church fower for breathtaking views of the city. Though this is no longer available, the cathedral still offers a deeply enriching experience through its beautiful interiors and tranquil surroundings. Its historical significance and stunning presence remain unforgettable. Highly recommended for history lovers and admirers of sacred architecture.

Nice view from tower of church. Ticket price- 10pln. You have to climb up the spiral stairs to get to the top.
Denda29 G — Google review
This is a must see, the architecture is one of a kind, if you are able to climb the steps up to the top of the spire, the view is breathtaking. When the bells ring, even at 6.30 in the morning, the sound is so deep and meaningful.
Michael B — Google review
This is really old, 13th-century gothic church, located in the centre of the city market. Damaged several times, especially in the 18th century (fire) and during World War II. Because of the tower, it is one of the highest churches in Poland (about 97 metres). Really great landmark, hard to oversight. Unfortunately, I cannot see anything special in this brick building. It is just an old, high church.

Brama Targowa, also known as the Market Gate, is a historic landmark in Elblag. Erected in 1319, it has undergone reconstruction several times due to destruction, including during World War II. Situated at the end of Stary Rynek, it stands out as the tallest building on the street and offers a commanding view of the surrounding area.
Nice piece of Elbląg history with a cool view over the old town roofs. There is also tourist information and a souvenir shop inside where you can buy lovely gadgets relating to the city.
Bo S — Google review
Market Gate is the only existing part of the original city wall. The construction began in 1319, it was enlarged to the current height in 1420-1430 and was damaged badly in the World War II. Then it was restored after the war.
Paweł — Google review
The gate tower is free to enter, go up to the top of the tower for a panoramic view of the town and beyond. There's a small tourist information centre within the tower on the first floor.

Restauracja Zmysły is a trendy establishment offering creative global cuisine, featuring an array of meat dishes, pizzas, and seafood options. The venue boasts a lively ambiance with a wide selection of cocktails and wines to accompany your meal. The attentive staff provides exceptional service, making patrons feel right at home. The menu descriptions are helpful in guiding diners through their choices. The food itself is delectable and generously portioned, though some customers suggest an expanded wine selection would enhance the overall experience.
Food was delicious and in a good price. Atmosphere and Ambiance was really nice. The waitress were friendly and accommodating. Very highly recommended . It is near the City center, easy to find.

The food was exeptional, the service excellent. The restaurant was very busy as it was "Women's Day" but this didn't impact on the level of service and taste of the food. Would really recommend.

We were so impressed with our meal and service tonight at Zmysty, after the recommendation in the Lonely Planet guide. I had the spicy noodles with clams and my husband had the Zander (fish) on black lentils. He is a bit of a foodie and the dish exceeded his expectations. They booked us a taxi as well so we didn’t have to worry about missing our train back to Gdansk and could enjoy our meal.

Restaurant
Studnia Smaków is a popular restaurant in Elblag, known for its diverse menu featuring pizza, meat dishes, breakfast options, and desserts. The head chef Michal Jankowski and his team are praised for their culinary skills and use of high-quality ingredients to create dishes from scratch.
A very good place. We had family lunch there. Everything tasted good and portions are big, too big for us. Imposible to eat. A little feeling there is even too much going on on the plate. We prefer simpler dishes. Ribs, duck, shrimp, sour soup, pizza and browny for desert. Nothing to complain. They serve 14 day fresh Tyskie beer from a draft, which is very good. Myself I never touch Tyskie, but this one was light, tasty, not too bitter not to sweet. Definitely go there if you are in Elblag.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to! Chef is insane! Food was extraordinary delicious, good piece of meat/fish, a lot of salad which even contained some rarer fruits/berries like stawberries, raspberries and pomegranate, and it was not expensive at all! We even got some bread spread before the meal. Service was super friendly and place was peaceful, everything was clean, toilets were beautiful. Incredible visit, I highly recommend!!!

We were looking for a place that locals love, and ChatGPT recommended this restaurant. The moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere and the delicious aroma of the food. The service was outstanding, and the dishes were absolutely delicious. I even tried a cold jelly dish with blueberries, which was a unique and delightful experience. The shashlik was beyond amazing, and we couldn’t resist trying a dish with salmon as well. Everything was simply perfect. This place is a must-visit if you want to lift your mood and enjoy an incredible meal!

We were expecting a good restaurant but we were surprised: it was better than we thought. The dishes are huge, very well presented and the most important: very tasty. The waiting time is not long and while you wait they serve a small entrance to open your appetite. Prices are above average but they match the food quality. Definitely recomended.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Restauracja Metamorfoza. The dinner was incredible, with the Thai soup being particularly impressive. The restaurant's ambiance was elegant and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere. We were grateful for the warm hospitality of Kasai, the gracious hostess who provided excellent suggestions from the menu. Both the food and portion sizes were outstanding – everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious, and the serving sizes were generous.
We stopped by for dinner and what a dinner it was! The Thai soup was a knock out with the decor classy and cozy to boot. A special thanks to our lovely hostess Kasai who was kind and accommodating with good menu recommendations. 5 stars.

Strange. Walked in 1845 on a Thursday. There were 2 larger tables full and plenty of empty tables. They said they were not accepting any more guests, and good bye. Went to propaganda. Great service there.

(Translated by Google) We had the immense pleasure of attending the wedding reception of my godson and his wonderful wife at this restaurant. I must admit, choosing Mrs. Asia's restaurant was a bull's-eye! From the very first moment, our newlyweds knew they were in good hands. The professionalism, warmth, and flexibility in meeting their needs were top-notch. The hall was beautifully decorated – elegant, yet classy and warm, perfectly reflecting the character of this unique celebration. The food? Absolutely fantastic! Every dish was delightful in taste and presentation, and guests still reminisce about the delicious appetizers, aromatic main courses, and fabulous desserts. The staff also deserves special mention – polite, discreet, and always ready to help. Thanks to them, everything ran smoothly and stress-free, allowing the newlyweds to focus on enjoying their special day. We couldn't have dreamed of a better place to celebrate such an important moment. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone dreaming of a perfect reception filled with warmth, flavor, and a unique atmosphere! Amore Mio Grill & pizza in Elblag is a fantastic establishment to enjoy a meal and unwind. It is widely known amongst regulars as Marco's place, where you can savor authentic Italian cuisine infused with unique local flavors. The grill options are particularly impressive, leaving no room for regrets. Additionally, their pizza named "Elblag" is so remarkable that one might question whether they are still in Poland or have magically transported to Italy.
Great service, accommodating staff, super kind owner and sublime food. What else do you need! Grazie mille!!

My waitress was Laura and she was very sweet and her English was also good. I totally recommend the restaurant, the food is very tasty.
Deni R — Google review
Visited this restaurant with my family and, unfortunately, left with mixed feelings leaning toward disappointment. To start, we ordered lemonade and "Tortellini In Brodo" ( chicken and beef broth with meat tortellini ). The soup was very underwhelming - bland, lacking depth of flavor, and tasting like it had been watered down. Definitely not what I was expecting. For mains, my boys had Margherita pizzas, which were actually very good - nice size, tasty, and they loved them. My daughter had the "Filetto Di Pollo Grigliato" (grilled chicken fillet with fries, tomato, and cucumber). The chicken and fries were good, but the tomato and cucumber slices on the side felt like an odd choice for a kids’ plate. I ordered "Petto Di Pollo Grigliato" (grilled chicken fillet with baked potatoes and mixed salad). Sadly, the chicken was thin, dry, and lacked flavor. The salad mix was unusual - blueberries thrown in with tomatoes, radish, cucumber, and other vegetables - not a combination I’d choose. My wife’s "Salmone Grigliato" (grilled salmon with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables), however, was very nice - great portion size and tasty. One big downside was the wait time. It took over an hour from ordering to receiving our main courses. While the staff did apologize (and they were friendly and welcoming throughout), it was still far too long. Overall, it felt like two different chefs had cooked our meals - some dishes were good, others missed the mark completely. Considering the higher prices, I expected better consistency and quality. Unfortunately, this visit left me disappointed, which I also shared with the staff before leaving.

Great place to eat and relax while in Elbląg. From what I can tell, all regulars know Marco - and thats how I got to know who Marco is. Genuine Italian cuisine with some little local spices. My +1 went for the "grill" and regretted nothing. I went for pizza "Elbląg" and had to double check whether I was still in Poland or Italy. Im still not sure. All the best to the staff, keep it up!

Delicious food, tried mix grill and all was delicious. There were 2 restaurants with same name, this one has Grill written under logo. Prices were good
Barışhan Y — Google review
Went to this restaurant with High expectations, which certainly were NOT met. Pizza dripping with Fat, to be told this is typical Napoli style. I am a huge fan of pizza and believe me, there is nothing typically Italian about this. Left feeling like I had eaten a dirty kebab. Bruschetta served on cheap supermarket style with no herbs what-so-ever. Poor quality overall with very little thought or effort put in to the food. Food was of the quality of a cheap Italian takeaway, at best. Definitely not 4.6 Stars. Don't waste your time going here
