Naked For Satan, established in 2010 on Brunswick Street, is a popular spot known for its flavored vodka and pintxos. The venue offers tapas-style plates and infused vodka in a stylish setting with a rooftop bar and antique still. Upstairs at Naked in the Sky, guests can enjoy more sophisticated dishes like crumbed eggplant with honey and blue cheese or organic spring bay mussels with leek and cider while taking in breathtaking views of Melbourne's Central Business District.
Best place to go out with friends, amazing view and vibe. Food was amazing **"The food came out really fast, which was great! Just a heads-up — you have to go up and place your order yourself, as there's no table service for ordering."

You come here for the dusk views and not necessarily for the food. Got a carafe of naked mule for $58 and it was ok but didn’t taste very strong. Ordered a serve of the croquettes at $16 which were tasty but the service was average. Had to go searching for plates and serviettes and by the time they brought them to the table, the croquettes were almost cold. It’s somewhere you bring visitors to Melbourne. I prefer Panama.

This place has changed quite a bit and I believe it used to deserve 5 stars, but not any more. A lot of the old menu items had been removed and the list was very small now. There are no longer meatballs or squid on the menu and only one beef and one chicken dish which were skewers. The chicken for mains was not available. Service was very difficult to get but the food came out quite fast and was delicious, although it was all very much over priced. I used to count down the days til I came back here, but now I wouldn't dare suggest it.

We visited around noon for lunch. It wasn’t busy, and we took the elevator up to the rooftop, quite an interesting place with a nice view. I’m sure it looks amazing at night. As for the food, to be honest, I wasn’t very satisfied. It cost about 90 bucks — the chips were too oily, the chicken was fine, but the shrimp didn’t meet my expectations or past experiences.
Ali T — Google review
The views from this restaurant were amazing. The food had a great taste. I would recommend getting the hot chips with fried chicken. The restaurant had great service, food, and atmosphere. Overall this experience was amazing.

The place certainly has a catchy name, and the décor, especially around the bathroom area, is very unusual and eye-catching. It is clearly a place people favour for drinks rather than food. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which I really appreciated. The food itself was decent and the coffee was good. Despite the fact that the venue is far from what I would classify as a truly clean place, the ambience is still welcoming, and a lot of visitors make good use of the lovely balcony with its views. Overall, worth a visit if you are after cocktails, atmosphere, and a casual bite, rather than a spotless venue or a serious dining experience.

We have been here for lunch with friends on Wednesday. It wasn't busy that day. Great atmosphere, must be fantastic during night. Our friends have suggested it and they did make booking. Place is lovely, service is good but unfortunately food did not satisfy us. It was very avarage. But, I suppose people don't come just for food then for views and atmosphere.

The Rose Street Artists’ Market is a vibrant indoor and outdoor market in Melbourne, showcasing the city's best art and design talent. Open on weekends, this mini design market in Fitzroy offers unique handmade goods and provides an opportunity to meet the makers behind them. From delicate jewelry to Japanese pottery and hand-drawn cards, there's something for everyone at this quirky boutique market. With its diverse offerings, it's a must-visit for those seeking one-of-a-kind gifts. Additionally, St.
Vibrant, edgy cute little market with handmade things from crochet earrings - I bought for myself - matching my new Zimmerman blouse to Tonics made with Australian native plants like lemon myrtle- I got 8 bottles and will import them to Germany- great present for my Gin and Tonic loving husband and friends. Can’t believe I never came here while living 3 years in Brighton. Will certainly come back.

Rose Street Artist Market is the jewel in Fitzroy's hotspot of creativity. The market is crammed with handmade objects from a wide range of quality local artisans. This curated range of ceramics, paintings, jewellery, and sewn objects is the perfect place to buy a gift or souvenir of Melbourne. Stallholders change over time, so there's always a reason to return. Street car parking very hard to find on weekends and is at a premium....take a tram instead.

It's well worth a walk down Rose St in Fitzroy to enjoy this and other markets near by. There is a lot of artistic variety in this market along with artisan offerings including perfumes and teas which were great.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a gem in the heart of Fitzroy! The Rose Street Artists’ Market is the perfect spot to spend a relaxed weekend morning. It’s a compact yet lively space filled with stunning artwork, creative homewares, handmade jewellery, and quirky gifts from talented local artists. The layout is easy to walk around, and the vibe is friendly and inspiring. I especially loved how approachable the artists were — you can talk to them about their process and story. Whether you’re looking for something special or just want to soak up Melbourne’s local creative scene, this market is a must-visit! 🌿🎨✨ #Genastar

🎨 Rose Street Artist's Market: A Must-Visit for Unique Melbourne Style! The Rose Street Artists' Market is a true Fitzroy gem and a great spot in Melbourne to find truly unique, handmade pieces. I visited again today (Saturday), and it was buzzing! Vibe & Atmosphere (5/5): The setting is fantastic—the raw, industrial feel of the warehouse and courtyard creates the perfect backdrop for the vibrant, colourful stalls. It’s always a lively, friendly atmosphere. Even the market-goers' dogs are stylish (shoutout to the little one in the puffer jacket!). The Makers & Products (5/5): This is where the market shines. I saw stunning contemporary prints, charming embroidered patches and bookmarks, and beautiful jewellery. A highlight for me was the stand for Lavender Lab, whose natural products were beautifully packaged and smelled incredible. It’s always inspiring to speak directly to the creators about their process. Practical Tips: Hours: It’s open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Getting There: Street parking in Fitzroy can be tough, so taking the tram is definitely the most stress-free option. It's a short tram ride from Parliament railway station. Accessibility: The layout is spread out across a courtyard and covered areas, making it easy to navigate. If you are looking for an authentic piece of Melbourne art, a thoughtful gift, or just a place to spend a stimulating morning or afternoon, the Rose Street Artist's Market is highly recommended. Come ready to chat with the artists and support local talent!
Christine's P — Google review
Rose street artists' market is a flea market and opens over the weekends. It is quite a walk from the nearest tram ride (along the same street to go to the fitzroy market). You will arrive to an artistic place with graffiti on the walls. It is generally smaller than fitzroy market but it is nice to have a look around. Nice flea market in the suburbs of Melbourne.
LiV3 L — Google review
As a stall holder, may I still review? Such a good place to be a stall holder. Always good foot traffic and support from local and overseas visitors. Definitely 5 stars from me!

Love this market! Been wanting to come here for ages but they only open on Saturdays. There’s lots of gorgeous handmade gifts you could get, and this would be a great place to buy your friends gifts!

Cafe
Industry Beans Fitzroy is a trendy roastery located in a former warehouse, offering innovative brunch options and house blends. The light-filled space includes a cafe, retail store, and coffee roasters where visitors can observe the roasting process through glass windows. The menu features single-origin coffee beans and an all-day food selection crafted by an experienced team.
A super cool new warehouse style cafe that offers a wonderful selection of freshly brewed coffee and an innovative menu. Service is friendly and the flavours of both food and coffee are excellent!! Located just off Brunswick st be careful when parking and look at the signs. It’s a 5 minute walk so if you struggle with parking then don’t worry too much. Bookings are recommended if you are visiting during peak times! Enjoy your experience and coffee ☕️

Industry Beans Café in Fitzroy is a great spot, especially if you are looking for quality coffee. The coffee was excellent—definitely one of the strengths of this café. I also tried the Porcini Nest, which I really enjoyed both for its flavour and for the way it was presented. The staff were friendly, and the ambience was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for a relaxed Sunday brunch. On the downside, the Daily Muffin – Egg & Truffle Mushroom was disappointing. Before ordering, we asked about its size and were told it was not too small, but when it arrived, it looked more like a McDonald’s cheeseburger in terms of size and even the way it was wrapped. It came without any sides, which made it feel underwhelming. Personally, I would not recommend this dish.
Alvin K — Google review
Nice atmosphere with good service but we weren’t impressed by the food. Pancakes were aesthetically appealing but too sweet, heavy texture more like a cake not fluffy at all. Omelette wasn’t that good. Angus burger and chips were just ok. Drinks were fine!
Houda G — Google review
We had a group of 6 friends having brunch here, the first time at Industry Beans for any of us. The cafe is minimalist white in decor with gorgeous green plans fitted around and overhead. The brunch menu is more extensive than your average brunch menu with a classic section with the usual suspects for a Melbourne brunch menu and a signature section including a lobster roll and a Porcini nest. The food was fabulous, definitely 5/5. The coffee was truly on point (we all had 2 coffees!). The service was friendly and timely. It was a little noisy, and the smallish booth for 6 did make chatting for the whole table a little challenging. Would definitely recommend!
Kirsty — Google review
Absolutely ignore any reviews that don’t rate the food or coffee here! Industry Beans is a world-class cafe that elevated our time in Melbourne. Beautifully presented food that were flavour explosions We had the Barramundi omelette and corn fritters (pictured) which both absolute winners. Loved the beautifully clean, laboratory style decor - and amazingly friendly staff who were so helpful and good to chat with. Such a great experience - definitely go!

Arrived midday Saturday for brunch. Didn’t really have to wait at all. Service was great. Coffee was good. Food was mediocre. Flavors didn’t come together well. Rather disappointed.
Steph E — Google review
Considering this place seems quite specialized in coffee, their bubble latte tasted rather cheap and a bit too sweet. For your information, the tapioca pearls they use are quite small. Their soy matcha was also just okay. I did, however, like the space — it gets plenty of sunlight, has high ceilings, and is quite spacious.
Hye — Google review
No idea how this cafe got such high ratings. Food is incredibly sad, bland and half effort. Angus beef Burger was so boring, buns werent toasted. McDonalds could serve the same at half the price. Chips werent salted, were stale and served cold. Latte had zero coffee shots, tasted more milk than coffee. A nespresso pod easily tastes way better and has stronger caffeine than their lattes. Trust me and avoid this sad disappointing fake cafe.

Museums
Nestled in the historic Carlton area just north of Melbourne's CBD, the expansive 70,000-square-meter Melbourne Museum offers a deep dive into the city's rich history and diverse culture. With eight galleries spread across six floors, visitors can explore Aboriginal artifacts at the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, encounter Australia's unique wildlife including a massive blue whale skeleton and legendary racehorse Phar Lap's preserved body, and take guided tours to uncover hidden stories of Melbourne.
We booked our tickets online which helped us skip the queue. Reached around 10 am when it was still quiet, though it did get busier as the day went on. My son is very curious, and he thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the museum. The Dinosaur section was definitely a major highlight for him. The Rainforest section was another favourite - walking among real flora and trees inside a museum felt amazing! Other sections like bugs & insects, soils, and the Ice Age were equally fascinating. We spent about 4–5 hours exploring everything at a relaxed pace. We had lunch at the Market Café inside the museum, which was quite convenient. Afterward, we enjoyed some time at the beautiful Carlton Gardens just outside - a perfect way to wrap up the visit. Overall, a fantastic experience for both kids and adults. Highly recommend spending half a day here!

An awesome experience! The Star Wars Lego exhibition was super easy to access and really simple to navigate. There are plenty of activities throughout, for both kids and adult fans. It’s a great outing for families as well as die-hard Star Wars and LEGO fans. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend checking it out!

Pretty cool place tbh. The Melbourne Museum is huge — like, you could easily get lost in there. Loved the dinosaur section and the First Peoples exhibit, super interesting and well done. There’s also a kids area that looked fun even if you’re not a kid lol. Some parts felt a bit dated though, and a few displays could use more interactive stuff or better lighting. But overall, it’s a chill spot to spend a few hours and learn a bunch of random cool things. Would def recommend if you’ve got some free time in Melbourne.

I took my granddaughter to the Halloween at the Museum on the afternoon of Oct31st. We came a little early so we had to wait to enter. It was such an exciting event for my granddaughter…and for me. Kids in costume as well as the adults. The activities for the kids were great and we enjoyed looking at the gallery in the dark. It was fantastic. Parking in the basement was handy. Staff were friendly but not quite knowledgeable of the wheres and whats that night. Still, I will recommend this museum and this particular event. Its a must see and must attend!

Very engaging museum! •it was a quick visit but very interesting •easy to read information •clean, well-organized areas and toilets •an amazing experience esp for dinosaur lovers! They also have a shop.

We had the best experience at the museum. We went there when there was the Lego Exhibition on Star Wars - the creation were insanely good! There was also a rainforest in the museum - we went in to have a look. We saw the T-Rex show at the iMax theatre too. We had so, so much fun. Absolutely recommend a visit - more than worth the day and money.
Lee Y — Google review
This is one of the best museums I have been to in Australia. The museum is huge. I am very amazed by the exhibitions and events they have here. They also have many child-friendly exhibitions and activities, with interactive and hands-on displays. Their dinosaur exhibition is awesome, and I am fascinated by the dinosaur fossils they have here. I also visited the LEGO Star Wars Exhibition and as a big fan of both LEGO and Star Wars, I am impressed by the exhibition. The Melbourne Museum is within walking distance of Lygon Street, which makes it convenient to get food, desserts and coffee after visiting the museum. I highly recommend this museum, and you must visit the LEGO Star Wars Exhibition if you are a LEGO fan.

This review is only about current special exhibition: Treasures of the Viking Age -The Galloway Hoard. The Galloway Hoard discovered in 2014 had 100 items, a small but very significant find. However, what is exhibited here is a lot less, museum blurb states about 90 pieces but it does look significantly less. The items are spread out in sections - entrances like Viking doorways & "padded" with massive graphics via video & static projections, albeit immersively displayed & easy to digest. The superstars of the Hoard - the small silver vessel with lid, the tiny crystal jar covered with elaborate goldwork & one more item - are all 3D-printed replicas. The reason - too fragile to be transported. I really liked the presentation & background on how the hoards were buried, the trade & marauding routes traversed by Viking warlords that enabled procurement of precious metals from far away lands along the Silk Route. But disingenuous inclusion of other discoveries is not necessary. I would rather hear more about why hoarding was so prevalent 1000 years ago or did I miss this bit? There is enough original intricate pieces that makes this exhibition worthwhile - artefacts like the Silver Cross with the fine spiral chain, intricate armbands (make great copies for olde fashion wrist watches!) & the elaborate brooches. But, but (& the reason for my 3 star review) - Where are the replicas of Vikings - both men & women, depicting how these wonderful ancient antiquities were adorned/worn? This would have really showcased the the wealth of the warlords & their treasured heirlooms..✨️✨️

Cutler & Co. is an upscale modern Australian restaurant located in an old metalworks factory, offering a tasting menu and a romantic dining experience. The restaurant features a moody yet sophisticated atmosphere with sleek metal and glass partitions, creating a unique dining space. The menu offers flexibility with options ranging from a five-course degustation to comfort food like dry-aged steak for two, paired with wines from an exemplary list focusing on small producers.
Cutler in Fitzroy is one of Melbourne’s most stylish dining experiences - modern yet warm, with a beautifully designed interior that blends industrial charm and luxe detailing. The clean lines, moody lighting, and leafy marble accents create a welcoming, sophisticated atmosphere. The service lives up to the hype too: warm, professional, attentive but never overbearing - guests are truly looked after . On to the food: Culatello ‘PROSCIUTTO’ with persimmon – an exquisite pairing of salty cured meat and sweet, fragrant persimmon. What a beautiful combination! TUNA on toast – super creative; the crème fraîche, bullhorn peppers and horseradish elevate it to a memorable dish. Burger – fantastic, exactly what you’d hope for in a gourmet setting. Chocolate GÂTEAU – rich and decadent, with dates working beautifully against the dark chocolate. Overall, Cutler offers brilliant food, from innovative small plates to comforting mains, set in a polished yet relaxed space with top-tier hospitality. Highly recommended.

This is my second time dining here and its remains one of my top restaurants in Melbourne. The waitstaff is always amazing, even though our waiter had only been working there for two weeks he was super professional and friendly. My favourite dishes from this visit were the whiting and the apple tart tartin, I would highly recommend getting these two dishes. I also appreciated there were lots of interesting mocktails to try. Would definitely recommend Cutler and Co for a fancy dinner and lovely evening.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of dining at Cutler back in July. The food, service and ambiance were immaculate. We loved our experience so much that we are returning next month for our post elopement dinner. Special shout out to our server who never rushed us, gave us amazing recommendations (side of fries to dip in the sauce with the fish!) and was all around delightful.

A classic Andrew McConnell restaurant - great quality and consistent food. While the menu is never ground breaking, the consistency of quality and consistent execution is something to be marvelled We dined on the chefs menu which was very generous on portion sizing. Tuna entree was delicious, fresh and clean The main of steak could have had a much better sear. Pavlova for dessert you can’t go wrong. Service was lovely & wine list very good.

It became the best memory of our trip to Melbourne✨ All the staff were so kind and welcoming! Even about me bringing my little plush friend along🐰 One of them even asked for its name, which made me so happy🥹💗 The staff member who served our table had amazing knowledge of the menu, and we followed his recommendations — every dish was absolutely perfect for both me and my partner🍽️😊Especially, the duck we had...It was the bestes...🥰 From the moment we stepped inside to the moment we left, everything was just beyond words. Truly an unforgettable experience💖

Fine but uncomplicated dining, Cutler’s menu is elegant, delicious simplicity. The whiting and venison dishes were both lip-smacking, but our fave was the little bowl of humble anchovy & sage fritters. Like a fancy beer snack, I could’ve easily scoffed 50 of these tasty morsels alone! The space is gorgeous, an old metalworks factory with marbled walls & intimate candlelit booths. Service was seamless and attentive, with table crumbing between courses. Would definitely chomp again when next in Melbourne!

Dining at Cutler was an experience I won’t soon forget. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless — warm, professional service, a beautifully designed space, and a menu that strikes the perfect balance between creativity and comfort. The ambiance is modern and elegant without feeling pretentious. Soft lighting, thoughtful décor, and just the right level of background music made it ideal for both conversation and relaxation. Now to the food — absolutely phenomenal. Each course was executed with precision and heart. The ingredients were clearly fresh and of high quality, and the flavor combinations were inventive yet familiar. I had the seared duck breast with roasted fig and truffle jus, and was blown away. Every bite was perfectly cooked and balanced. Even the sides and small touches, like the house-made bread and butter, were memorable. The service truly stood out — attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, offered great pairing suggestions, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Cutler isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a dining experience. Whether you're celebrating something special or simply want a night of exceptional food and atmosphere, this place is a gem. Highly recommended.

Andrew McConnell’s flagship restaurant Cutler since inception 2009 has always been busy and bookings are always essential. Similar menu arrangement as cumulus, small bites to entrees moving on to mains and larger mains accompanied with sides. Degustation menu can be sampled to try his craftsmanship. Time of visiting the seating was quite dark although by the large front window dinning can be enjoyed thoroughly whilst watching the world go by on Gertrude St. Try the house warm donuts chives and salmon roe and sour cream. Mushroom pithivier. From the grill the O’Connor Sirloin cooked perfectly paired with glazed onions and condiments to enjoy with. Dessert the dark chocolate tart with liquorice and fromage Blanc you cannot go past to finish off. Great food but not too sold on half looking serves on the pithivier and tart.

Restaurant
Marion Wine Bar is a cozy spot offering a blend of local and European dishes, along with an extensive selection of wines. It is part of Chef Andrew McConnell's collection of esteemed establishments, including the renowned Gimlet. Situated on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, Marion shares its wine cellar with the neighboring Cutler&Co. The menu features must-try items like the flatbread with fromage blanc, which has become a beloved staple.
Our first time at Marion Wine Bar and experience was as expected - Excellent! Wine Bar scene in Melbourne is quite competitive and honestly most of them you can't fault even if you want to be strict & overly critical. Marion is one of those top tier bars where everything goes smooth and effortlessly perfect. Of course, we all know that comes only with lots of effort and passionate approach to food and service they are providing to their guests. Service was immaculate!!! We had Pork chops, O'Connor Sirloin steak, vodka pasta and Leek tart, all well executed and presented perfectly! Wine list was extensive and maybe on the pricier side, but surely nice drop can be found at reasonable price and matched with excellent food creates perfect combo for enjoyment We would highly recommend Marion!! We'll be back Jana &Boris

Stunning restaurant! We enjoyed every bit of this place—from the atmosphere and the service to, undoubtedly, the food. The flatbread was the star. We loved it so much that we ordered it twice. The vodka pasta and the pork cutlet were great too. We sat outside as we didn’t have a reservation, but it did not disappoint. The indoor seating looked lovely as well. They also have a great wine selection. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Just WOW! The worst thing about this restaurant was that we had to wait 2.5 hours for a table. Visiting Melbourne from sydney and my daughter found this gem. We had the most wonderful late lunch at Marion after a stroll down Gertrude street. So we couldn’t decide what to eat! Ordered a fabulous bottle of French rose while we decided. Stares with kingfish crisp Ina citrus horseradish delishessness sauce. Asparagus was crunchy and fresh. The flatbread to insane. To end the starters we had the leek tart. We completed the feast with the pasta regati with vodka sauce with a side of fresh leaves dressed simply but perfect. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The brûlée was the right ending. Amazing the numbers of sitting this venue does must be huge. Loved!

We tried the Chef’s Selection for this visit — highly recommend it for first-timers, as it gives you a chance to taste all the popular and highly rated dishes. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. Overall, a very pleasant experience — we’ll definitely be back again!

Had a beautiful time here with some friends. Service was great and food was delicious. We got the bread, anchovy toast, mussels, asparagus danish, duck fritz, basked pasta and the beans. Got one of every dessert too! Everything was so good we couldn't pick a highlight but would order it all again tomorrow. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our dinner and drinks. Especially the passionfruit mocktail and the green salad. The fish was beautifully cooked, flavoursome and tender. The vodka pasta was slightly underseasoned, but still enjoyable. The entrees were tiny but packed with flavour. Overall a great experience albeit a bit pricey for portion size.

Marion Wine Bar has delicious food and a really great vibe. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, making it a perfect spot for a date or a night out with friends. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the wine selection is impressive. Definitely a place I’d recommend for both food and drinks! 🍷✨

The flatbread was sensational (but small so we ordered a second). I didn’t particularly enjoy the dessert and the larger dishes came out staggered I assume owing to us being on shared bench seating that probably wouldn’t have accommodated multiple plates. This wasn’t ideal for us as we weren’t intending to share them. Regardless service was very friendly and whilst I was nervous about not having a reservation arriving at 5.30pm did the trick to secure a table. Great atmosphere befitting of a date night and definitely a high calibre venue on the Melbourne wine bar scene

Vegan restaurant
Restaurant
Smith + Daughters is a trendy plant-based restaurant located in Fitzroy, Melbourne. Owned by Shannon Martinez, the eatery offers a warm pub atmosphere with industrial-chic decor and a stylish bar. Known for its innovative approach to vegan cuisine, the menu has evolved from Spanish to Sicilian fare, featuring dishes like Braised Chickpeas with Cimi di Rapa and Ragu di Salsiccia.
From the moment I walked into Smith + Daughters, I knew I was in for something special. The venue is striking — a bold, contemporary space that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff especially Liv were absolutely amazing: warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, she made the whole evening feel even more personal and engaging. What truly sets this place apart is the food. Every dish bursts with flavour, showcasing both creativity and finesse. Head chef Sharon Martinez is nothing short of a goddess in the kitchen — a true culinary genius whose passion and artistry shine through in every bite. I left already planning my next visit. If you haven’t been, go. If you have, you’ll know exactly why I’ll definitely be back.

Good vibes and lovely service – it’s definitely the place to be! The food was amazing: we had several starters, one main, and still found room for dessert. Every dish was impressive, and we truly appreciated the chefs’ hard work in crafting a great dining experience. Unfortunately, each plate had a few small flaws that kept us from having that real “WOW” moment. Still, it’s absolutely an amazing place to enjoy food in Melbourne! Great job, guys!

My mates and I (you may remember us as the 3 guys with the funky t-shirts!) came by this past Sunday, and what an experience it was! Every single dish we tried was absolutely fantastic. Honestly, there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy, which was such a pleasant surprise. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. Huge shoutout to them for being so kind and attentive. We had such a great time that we’re already planning our return. Next time, we’ll be bringing t-shirts for the team as well. Food, service, and value: all 5 stars! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars for atmosphere is because it was a tad chilly. Thank you for making our Sunday so memorable!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Smith + Daughters, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere and the welcoming staff set the perfect tone for the evening. The attention to detail in every dish was remarkable. The flavors were bold and beautifully balanced, with each plate thoughtfully presented to delight both the eyes and the palate. The aromas alone were enough to make the experience special, drawing you in before even taking the first bite. The cocktails were crafted with precision, offering unique and refreshing combinations that perfectly complemented the meal. Opting for the set menu was an excellent choice—it showcased the creativity and expertise of the kitchen, with each course flowing seamlessly into the next. Smith + Daughters is a true gem, proving that plant-based dining can be just as indulgent, satisfying, and exciting as any other culinary experience. I can’t wait to return! Alex from Perth

Unreal food, and I’m definitely not vegan. Incredibly friendly staff that squeezed me with no reservation and awesome chefs enjoying themselves in the kitchen! A real treat!

Delicious and wonderful as always. I had the kofta for my entree which was so devine and then pumpkin ravioli for my main, unfortunately a bit too sweet for my liking but that may be personal preference, if you like super buttery food you will enjoy this dish- I'm just not used to that very buttery taste anymore. I do wish they still did the vodka pasta way back when they were at their old location! One of the tastiest dishes I remember having. Please bring it back hehe Thank you Smith and Daughters

Chicken restaurant
Belles Hot Chicken Fitzroy is a retro-chic diner that serves up Southern U.S. style fried chicken and slaw, accompanied by music on vinyl. The restaurant has gained a reputation for its fiery chilli rub, with heat levels ranging from mild to extremely hot. Founded by two ex-fine-dining chefs with experience in Nashville, the menu offers four cuts of chicken and six spice levels, allowing guests to customize their hot wings.
I ordered southern fried chicken, mashed potato and gravy. This all time classic is one of the best I have ever had. The chicken was so tender without having its succulence being compromised. The mashed potato was smooth and buttery and the thickness of the gravy was just right. I could see many details in this dish. The atmosphere is lovely - classic American diner vibe - and the staff members are lovely. Would highly recommend for those coming to the area. Can’t wait to go there again!

Delicious burger and tenders. We had the "actually hot" tenders, and they were hot as advertised. The chips with the gravy and sauce were really delicious. Also, don't forget to try the mac n cheese bites they were tasty.

Heard a lot of noise and hype for Belles hot chicken. The fried chicken itself was unfortunately underwhelming, there is no prominent flavours that makes it stand out. Borderline less flavour than your KFC fried chicken. The French fries were sadly the star of the show. Stop by if you’re in the area but not a place we would willingly go out of our way for.

I love Belles. It’s my happy place. As someone that’s travelled extensively through the Southern US states I can say it’s very much like Nashville or Tennessee fried chicken. From the juicy and spicy tenders to the perfectly seasoned chips it ticks all of the boxes. While I don’t rate the Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese bites are awesome. Always enjoy a place that has blue cheese sauce and ranch on the menu. The only thing that would make this place an 11/10 would be if it had deep fried pickles but we can’t have everything.

Kasey, niamh and Deana were absolute legends tonight! They had amazing service, impeccable patience (especially with the large group we had) and a great attitude. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was top tier, and the lovely workers just tied everything together. Thank you for the lovely night!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bell's Hot Chicken, and it was an unforgettable experience! This Yankee-style diner truly has vibes of plenty, making for a delightful atmosphere. The chicken burger was a standout—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. But the real star of the show for me was the crinkle cut chips. They were incredibly crispy, and the epic flavoring on top made them absolutely addictive. The spicy chicken and wings were also fantastic, with just the right amount of heat and mouthwatering taste. The service was lovely, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. To top it all off, the beers were wonderful, offering a great selection that perfectly complemented our meal. If you're looking for a place with great food, drinks, and atmosphere, Bell's Hot Chicken is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

Upbeat atmosphere, tasty food, clean amenities. Try the Mac & Cheese balls and the Supreme Sandwich - can't go wrong. The Buffalo is also great, however, it may not be for people who don't like only slightly spicy, crispy fried chicken. I certainly enjoyed it, though. They clearly do a roaring trade on Uber Eats too. Walk-ins get a seat at the bar so if you have a table of four it is advised you book a fair bit in advance to get a seat. Thanks to all for a lovely meal again! Like Arnie said, "I'll be back!"
