Nestled in the charming village of Mastihari, Harama is a delightful Greek taverna that has quickly become a local favorite since its opening just three years ago. Got us 4 main and a bunch of side dishes with drinks for less than 60€. They even brought us Mastika drink at the end on the house! Will be returning for sure!
Great second visit!
This time we ordered pork Souvlakis - 2 in Greek and 2 in Cyprus pitas. Cyprus pita is completely different and somehow resembles a sandwich. The main difference is not having a pita wrapped around but rather stuffed with meat. I say it is a nice refreshment from classic ones.
Stuffed peppers are not like traditional Balkan ones with rice and meat. Here you get a grilled pepper with cheese in salad style. Not bad, would prefer less winegar but that is highely subjective.
Fried eggplants were nothing special but you do appreciate some vegetables after eating meat meals for a week.
Got mastika second time as well!
I have to give credits where its due. Restaurant owner is extremely friendly and proffesional thus you will feel like dining in a highend restaurant. He really does treat every single customer with respect, does not matter if you ordered only appetisers or went all in. In our opinion #1 on the island. Hvala, thank you for such a nice experience!

We ate there several times while staying in Mastihari. The food was gorgeous. I would especially recommend the Meat Specials. Great friendly staff too. It does get very busy so it might be worth booking a table especially if eating later in the day.

Soft fries – several times. Even though we ordered crispy fries. Dry souvlaki, drinks forgotten. The staff speaks poor English – German is nonexistent. We were probably just unlucky. Actually, everything seems good. We'll try again and then maybe correct this review.
Great food at reasonable prices, excellent service and wonderful hosts! We ate here a couple of times on our short stay on Kos and really enjoyed it. Especially the Greek salad (classic) and beef stifado.
We tried to visit Kenny's, but since it was the holiday it was closed. This restaurant is 10 meters away.
We sat down, and waited. 9 minutes later the waiter came to the people sitting next to us, and asked them if they had a menu. They said that noone bought the menu to them, and that they have been sitting for at least 15 minutes. We waved at the clerk bu nothing. 5 minutes later the people received the menu. The clerk ignored us. 17 minutes of my life wasted.

We had Greek salad, lettuce salad, mixed veggie fritters, tzakziki and fries.
Everything was nicely presented and very tasty.

Seabream and garlic bread were very good. Grilled octopus was no bad, but no sides, just octopus with lemon per price 17€…. The biggest disappointment was mussels in wine - mussels have not been properly cleaned and some of them were processed - see photos.
Definitely go with the sea food options. Fried octopus is a must. And also fresh fish (ask for it). Not recommending the meze. Calamari, shrimp (again sea food) are also recommended. No moussaka.

An excellent stop next to the port to drink and ouzo and eat before you take the boat, among pleasant and kind stuff, with nice music and welcoming environment. They "won" me, I am from now a regular :)

Located right on the coastline, Horizon Bar is a fantastic beachside spot offering delicious food such as toasties and hot chicken salad. Guests can enjoy their meals while lounging on sunbeds on the sand, with food and drinks being served right to them. The bar is known for its superb cocktails, including the must-try frozen cocktail Fantasia. In addition to its great location and friendly staff, Horizon Bar also offers an enjoyable evening atmosphere with excellent music by the beach at night.
Needed something to eat and drink during my stroll, stumbled across a parade of cafes/bars/restaurants.
Staff was welcoming and friendly, sat me down, menu presented and order taken within 10 mins. Fresh orange juice and beer was brought over within 5 mins and food followed shortly after. Portions were more than expected but finished every bit. Food was delicious and fresh. Well worth it.

Went for a snack at lunchtime from the Gaia Royal... Yup anything to get out of the place. I had a Zombie.. Which wasn't as strong as it should have been. Had a Club sandwich without the cheese along with a portion of chips. Decent portion and definitely filled a gap. Good backing music while I was there and attentive staff. Worth a visit
This is an amazing place. The quality is great in any sense. Super nice people working here. An absolute must go to when in Mastihari.
This is THE spot. If you want service, ambience, and absolute fun, you must visit Horizon at all hours of the day. This is my “go to” and has been for years. Kenny and Marta, the owners, have outdone themselves. Their staff, Thanasi, Stavro, and Niko, add warmth, charm, and Greek spirit to make you want to visit daily. Whether it's date night or large groups, they will accommodate your needs. I wish I had Horizon in my backyard. Mastichari is lucky to have the best place to chill.
We loved this bar. Staff are really friendly and the view is 😍 We came across it while visiting Mastichari. We stopped originally for drinks only. Freddo cappuccino was so nice. We ended up staying for food and wow! Really tasty. And such great value with larger portions than the title “snack bar” suggests! Kept us going all day! We paid _€29 for a non alcoholic beer, strawberry slushy, cappuccino freddo, club sandwhich, ham & cheese baguette and Caesar wrap. Bargain! And All could eat no more!

Went to Vios whilst visiting mastichari on holiday. Restaurant came highly recommended by the chef and didn't disappoint. Best pizza and garlic bread in kos and very well priced. Friendly staff and lovely seeing our friend Skevos (chef) 🧡

Wonderful Restaurant, we‘ve been here twice. Both Pasta & Pizza are very delicious and the best in town. Besides the beautiful location with all the flowers, the service is also very kind. We would always come back!

Was worth the drive for the pizzas, found the place on google with great reviews and wasn’t disappointed . Got a free little ice cream at the end which was a great treat. Not enough staff for the whole restaurant (was 1/5 full) and we were not noticed much. But the kindness of the waitress made up for it!
We were recommended this restaurant by a guy in the dolphin bay, we weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious, tuna salad was massive so go hungry or share…. But the pizza was delicious, proper pizza and lots different choices too….. service was great and the lady do friendly and her English was perfect (I didn’t get her name but she was lovely)
We then met Thomas, he sleeps in the flower pots, and kindly looks at you with those eyes from afar….. then when you give in to those eyes, he’s adorable. All in all, everything was wonderful

First time visiting this restaurant. We were a company of five adults and three kids and shared many different dishes. Everything tasted great. They use their own meat and other local products which makes it feel extra good.
The interior design and the setting right on the beach was fantastic. We watched the sunset from our table.

Being asked to go into the kitchen to see today's specials was like stepping back in time to something which used to be the norm, and worked because I chose the beef in the oven starter.
Overall, it's good simple food made with top class ingredients and it's a pleasant surprise to find such a place in a tourist area.
If you're looking for haute cuisine, then try somewhere else, but if you're looking for honest, tasty food, then walk in and enjoy your food.

If you want to try traditional Greek cuisine, you should definitely visit this tavern. The atmosphere is friendly, and the spot is just idealic. "Φάγατε καλά;" (" did you eat well?") is the greek mama/grandma's question and that was their concern both times we ate there. Thank you very much for the welcoming service and the culinary experience!
If you want authentic Greek, homemade food with homegrown produce, dining with beach views and friendly staff this is a must.
The portions can be very generous and food is simply delicious. All the classic dishes (Yemista, moussaka, pastitsio, kleftiko, etc)

Regarding food you can find really authentic greek tastes, not common in most places. Cooked with fine ingredients and love ("meraki").
