If you're seeking an unforgettable marine experience, look no further than Deep Sea World, Scotland's national aquarium nestled beneath the iconic Forth Bridge. This captivating destination is perfect for families and offers a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of underwater life. With its impressive 112-meter acrylic tunnel, visitors can walk through a mesmerizing ocean filled with vibrant fish and majestic sharks swimming just inches away.
This is so wonderful. Came from Edinburgh for a day out with my boyfriend and can honestly say it has been a delightful experience. I've been to a few aquariums, and this one did not disappoint in terms of species variety and exhibition. The staff are all enthusiastic and friendly, and the food in the cafe was lush. Prices are a bit steep but the cost is understandable, and in my opinion 100% worth it. I love fishes :)

Highly recommend for birthday parties!!! We were treated like V.I.Ps and they made my 7 year old daughter feel extra special. Unlike some birthday party places around Edinburgh, we had a very kind and friendly woman (Hope) stay with us the entire time and take the group on a tour around. We got the best space to watch the seals feeding with the lovely Abigale welcoming "our very special guest". We then had Hope lead us to the classroom where she gave everyone a great educational experience. The kids loved her as she was engaging and fun. We then went down to the tunnel where they had an underwater sign saying Happy Birthday Nora 7. When it came to food, the team helped out and Hope stayed on top of juice refills and making sure we were all happy. She was very attentive. All staff helped to make this whole experience wonderful from the lovely gentleman who welcomed us on arrival to the cafe who were serving with a smile and friendly banter. I highly recommend Deep Sea World for birthday parties. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Been before so grandparents knew what expect Great displays of fish and creatures to keep the kids happy plus spending our money in the shop. They enjoyed the carousel that takes under the water so you can look up at the fish and sharks swimming overhead. Friday afternoon so fairly busy but we did manage to park.

It was a lovely little place that my 2 little ones really enjoyed. It is all accessible and has low tanks for little ones to be able to see. Has great information around as well. Only downside is that it is quite small and the downstairs walk through you cant take a pushchair through so you have to carry your little ones

My son was really happy. I expected there would be fewer animals, but it turned out to be really cool. There were the animals my son likes the most, like axolotls, seahorses and especially seals

An amazing day out for myself and my 8 year old daughter. Interactive talks every half an hour and lots of information throughout. Food is very good, with a great selection of choice, and although it was busy (lunchtime) we didn't wait long at all.

Great day out! The underwater tunnel is so relaxing if you get it when it's quiet. Lots of happy fish and the staff were lovely too, open to questions and telling us about the individual fish. Some freshwater monster fish too, amazing to see the adult sizes of species that used to be common aquarium fish - loved the pacus! The seal feeding was great too, and the Mysis shrimp in the tunnel/tanks were fascinating to see.

Good trip out with a good selection of things to see. Quite expensive though if there's a few of you and you don't have offers to get in. Various Feeding events/talks etc every 30 mins through the day. Free all day parking and place has a cafe and gift shop.

The Forth Bridge, an iconic 1.5-mile-long railway marvel that opened its doors in 1890, gracefully spans the Forth estuary and serves as a stunning backdrop for exploration. Surrounding this engineering wonder are 40 captivating short walks that invite adventurers to traverse the Kingdom of Fife.
This is a stunning bridge, worthy of a visit to photograph. Parking is a little tricky to get the best spot, and the free car park they have shuts at 9pm and locks you in, charging you to exit so don’t get caught out.

If you ever get the opportunity to experience the top, do it! This was done as a birthday surprise for me and I absolutely love it! From the start to the top, you go through the history to an open top experience! An unforgettable experience it was and I'll definitely be doing it again!

Visiting the forthbridge was a wonderful experience. I was amazed by it's unique structure and how well it represents Scottish engineering. I was so impressed by by how huge and strong it looks. The view from there was amazing ,especially with the water and the trains passing over the bridge.

The Forth Bridge is not only an incredible feat of engineering but also one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks. Watching the bridge at sunset is breathtaking – its massive structure looks both powerful and elegant. The viewpoint at South Queensferry is perfect for photos and a peaceful walk along the shore. A must-see for anyone who loves history, architecture, or simply beautiful scenery.

A magnificent piece of infrastructure. Viewing this incredible bridge from North Queensferry was a great experience. I just stood and looked at the bridge for long. While looking at it, one cannot stop thinking about how this bridge was built. The engineers at the time did a fantastic job.

The Forth Railway Bridge was opened in 1890. It is an engineering wonder. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2015. I have crossed it many times on the train but to stand on South Queensferry Pier is a privilege. I would now like to see it from North Queensferry but that will be another time.

We went on a trip to see the Forth bridges and it was well worth it. To be up close to the railway bridge and hear and see the trains going across was special. Because the bridge is all metal you hear the trains across the whole length. We started on the south side then crossed the newer road bridge which in its self is quite spectacular to see the railway bridge from the other side. You get to see how close the houses are built under the bridge. On the south side there is the Bikers Cove cafe that we stopped at and got a coffee and something to eat. Well worth going too, nice friendly people and good food. Steve and Jenny.

The Forth Road Bridge is an impressive thoroughfare that spans over 2.5 km and offers breathtaking panoramic views. It is renowned as one of the most significant long-span suspension bridges globally, with a length of 1,006 meters between its two end towers. Adjacent to the UNESCO heritage-status Forth Rail Bridge, it features a footpath allowing visitors to traverse the entire structure.
We crossed The Forth Road bridge on our way to Dundee. It has no toll, and it had a 70mph speed limit on the day we crossed, but this can change to variable. It connects Edinburgh at South Queensferry to Fife at North Queensferry. Great suspension bridge with good views

Here’s your polished 35-word review: The Forth Bridge walkway offers breathtaking views of the iconic rail bridge and surrounding waters. I parked at South Queensferry (EH30 9RL) and enjoyed a peaceful, scenic walk filled with stunning photo opportunities.

I've driven over this bridge many times although since 2017 it's only for public transport. Today was the first time I've walked over it. There is a walkway, which can also be used for cyclists. With great views of the other bridges it's a great place for a stroll on a sunny day.

Completed in 1964, the forth road bridge is a magnificent suspension bridge spanning the river forth waters linking Edinburgh and fife it was a significant engineering achievement, featuring a main span of 1,006 meters. The bridge has facilitated road traffic across the Firth and has been an essential component of Scotland's transport infrastructure. In recent years, it has undergone maintenance and upgrades to ensure its longevity and safety, especially following the construction of the adjacent Queensferry Crossing, in 2017 the firth road bridge is no longer accessible to private cars and Lorrie’s only taxis and buses The Forth Road Bridge is an iconic symbol of Scottish engineering and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You can walk from south Queensferry to north Queensferry grab breakfast at Scott’s then follow the path up the side of the bridge great viewpoint at north Queensferry to take photos of rail bridge lovely cafes to stop for coffee when returning to bridge go up the other steps which takes you to other side of bridge that way you get great view of the new Queensferry crossing - there is an underpass at other side which takes you back to the start - there is parking at ferry gate if you want to park closer to the bridge

The three bridges referred as Queensferry crossing connect over the firth of fourth from south Queensferry to the northern side. These are huge bridges and worth paying a visit. There is lots of history about these bridges and the architect who was appointed for this task. A ride through these bridges on clear sunny day 🌻 is not to be missed during your visit in Scotland as they represent the marvel of Scottish modern architecture and development.

What an amazing piece of engineering. A real spectacular feature of Scotland. There was just one bridge, now there is three bridges. Great view of the bridges from here, plus visitor toilets.

Had a great walk over the bridge. Unfortunately the other side was not open so we had to walk back the same way. Easter Sunday walk 2023. We went to North Queensferry to take pics of the forth bridge. Just a short walk from the end of the road bridge.

We’re here 3-4 times a month Never disappoints Came in today for brunch and was served by Allan, lots of banter, very pleasant and professional hospitality. Today’s chef was Colin, breakfast was a full breakfast and a veggie breakfast absolutely delicious the plate was full and didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. If your passing call in you won’t be disappointed we go that often we practically have shares in the place.

What an amazing place to have dinner, great food, spacious and great views on the UNESCO recognized Forth Bridge (as well as the other 2 bridges), parking appears to be free (and allowed) as long as there is no cruise ship docked nearby in the morning (the evenings seem to be free always). The menu has a good selection of very tasty food. They are a dog friendly place, they even have some free snacks for the doggies. Note: you have to order food at the bar, but this is not an issue at all. Overall great place would highly recommend, especially to escape from the busy streets of Edinburgh.

1019/2025 We visited today for a late lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately in the bar area. The ambiance is cozy. You make your decision for food and order at the bar. The food comes out piping hot. Great tomato soup for a starter. Chicken parmigiana had bacon, which is new to us, but the flavor added is tremendous. Our other main dish is the Sunday Trio (roast beef, pork belly, and turkey) with glazed parsnips, thyme roasted carrots, herb potatoes, seasonal greens, and all the gravy one wants. This dish is exquisite. It came with a small Yorkshire pudding. This is a first for me, but the pudding was quite good.
