I visited Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) during my trip to Langkawi Island, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my visit. This place is truly the heart of Langkawi and one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks. The giant eagle statue standing proudly by the sea is absolutely stunning. It's perfectly represents the name and spirit of Langkawi (“Helang” means eagle in Malay). The area around the square is very clean, peaceful, and beautifully designed. There are wide open spaces, fountains, and walkways where visitors can relax and take in the fresh sea breeze. The view of the Andaman Sea and nearby islands from this spot is simply breathtaking. I took many photos and videos here, and every corner looked picture-perfect. Eagle Square is especially magical during sunset. The golden rays of the setting sun reflecting on the eagle statue and the ocean create an unforgettable scene. In the evening, the square lights up beautifully, giving it a calm yet vibrant atmosphere. There are also small cafés, souvenir shops, and resting areas nearby, making it a perfect stop for tourists. Whether you come here for photography, relaxation, or sightseeing, Eagle Square will not disappoint.

Impressive statue of an eagle. Great opportunity for a photo in Langkawi. There are a few stalls along the entrance that sells snacks, artesanies, and other stuff, but they start to appear in the afternoon, when the temperature starts to drop. Close to the ferry terminal.

Must visit place in Langkawi.. Good view.. I have ample amount of Parking. Night view of this place is best.. it’s highly recommended to go in Night to enjoy lighting. It has view of Maha tower. It’s tourist place which should make must visit. No need for tickets to enter in this place. Lot of spots where you can take good pictures.

Nice place on the beach side. Not a must visit but if you're staying nearby then you can visit. You've a good beach view from here and also you can experience cruise rides if you're interested.

This place is iconic photo point U would recommend you to visit in late noon around 5 pm and enjoy the scenic view and experience the light show as it gets dark have some small refreshments It’s with in the city limit so you get plenty options for food and connectivity There is a jetty very close from the eagle square and the beach next to jetty is quite calm and almost no crowd at all . Try visiting both .

Masjid Al Hana is a very beautiful mosque. I’m visiting from Australia and spent 5 nights in Langkawi, coming here to pray was such a peaceful experience. The mosque itself is very clean, with a well-maintained wudu area and toilets, which makes visiting even more comfortable. I wasn’t sure where the entrance to the mosque was, but after completing wudu, I asked someone and they kindly guided me. A few signs in English would make it even easier for visitors but this didn’t take away from the overall experience. One of my favourite parts is that there’s a lovely park nearby. After praying, I went for a walk there, and it felt like I was walking with a sense of clarity and calmness, reflecting on the moment. It’s a simple but beautiful way to extend the peace and mindfulness from your visit to the mosque. Overall, Masjid Al Hana is an amazing place to visit, pray, and reflect. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Langkawi who wants a serene and welcoming experience.

Masjid Al Hana’ in Kuah, Langkawi, is a convenient mosque for performing Friday prayers, located near Pekan Rabu Kuah with ample parking space nearby. I visited on a Friday and found the mosque quite spacious and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to perform prayers. During my visit, there was a notable presence of Arab worshippers, including women who came for prayers. However, I noticed that there wasn’t a designated area for ladies to pray during Friday prayers. Fortunately, after speaking with one of the mosque staff, they kindly arranged a closed-off section to accommodate them, which was a thoughtful gesture. Before the Friday prayers, there was a sermon focusing on family planning and financial management—an insightful and relevant topic, especially for young individuals preparing for marriage or starting a family. It was a meaningful addition to the prayer session. Overall, I had a good experience. The mosque is spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to stop by for prayers when in Kuah. A dedicated section for women during Friday prayers would be a great improvement, but otherwise, it’s a welcoming place for worshippers.

During my short stay in Langkawi, I had the opportunity to pray Dhuhur and Asr at Masjid Al Hana’. It’s a beautiful and peaceful mosque, very clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it easy to focus during prayer. The mosque is conveniently located, and there's ample space for worshippers. I'm grateful I found such a serene place to perform my prayers while traveling. May Allah bless the caretakers and the community who maintain this lovely masjid.

This is a huge open square, with lots of parking. It is an open waterfront like area, that one can hangout at. There are fountains, ice-cream shops and like some street shopping. The tourist highlight in this area, is the Enormous Eagle that this jetty is so famous for. There is lots of open space for the kids to run around or scooter.

Dataran Lang is one of those must-visit spots in Langkawi — the huge eagle statue is even more impressive in person. It’s a great place for photos, especially around sunset when the light hits the water and the sky turns gold. The whole area is clean, well kept, and has a nice breeze from the sea. There are plenty of cafés and shops nearby, so it’s easy to spend a bit of time just wandering around. It’s touristy, sure, but still absolutely worth seeing. The views over the water and the surrounding islands are beautiful, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed.

My wife and I were here this morning (3 DECEMBER 2025) to check out this Langkawi icon, after which the island is (partly) named - both of us are local tourists from Johor Bahru. We were very impressed by how the "Eagle Square" was maintained and that there were public toilets nearby that one could use gratis. The view from the 12m tall eagle sculpture area was very nice (see video herein) and even though it was sunny when we were there, the sea breeze was such a cooling comfort. I highly recommend this place if you are a first time visitor to Langkawi.

My Dear Alcoholic Addict you will be amazed to what brand to start with what cocktail to get you soaked in. Prices are a surprise dont allow them to hit you hard . Whiskeys, Wines, Vodkas ,Beers are affordable for Both Locals and tourists. Will definitely recommend this for anyone. Langkawi Liquor and Tobacco must visit for beverages.

Best shopping for my favourite beverages. The shop also has certain old stock. Overall is under one roof to buy my beverage items.

AVERAGE SHOPPING CENTRE IN LANGKAWI CENTRE the central town area of Langkawi doesn't really have much to offer beyond a few small shops and hotels. The Saga Shopping Centre is one of several small retail precincts. Best to save your souvenir dollars for KL or Penang! People with mobility issues will have considerable problems walking through the town centre as there are numerous steps, obstructions, missing drain covers and uneven footpaths.

The chocolate prices here are cheaper than the mainstream stores which the tour companies take their tourists. The store has a good selection, on a smaller scale, but comfortable enough to shop in peace. Much recommended to make this your first stop before going to the other stores.

The mall is a bit old but it does it jobs 👍🏼

Nice cafe with awesome coffees (I had ice latte 3 times in 24 hours because it was so good). I had the yogurt and fruit w/chia seeds. It was really good but I found a hair in it but just remove it myself and carry on. I ran a cafe myself and these things happen. The cafe itself had a nice look. The guy running the place could definitely be more friendly but I’d give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it’s just his personality. The staff were great but looks a bit stressed. But they gave me big smiles when I said thank you which I love. All in all I would recommend if you go to Kuah.

Stopped for lunch here. Really nice gourmet food and great coffee. The attention to detail with the food prep is second to none. The walls are covered with artwork that is for sale. A good spot to relax in a quiet part of town where not a lot is open during the day. Great, friendly service.

Great place with super tasty food. Very extensive menu with lots of options and an all-day breakfast. Super quick and efficient preparation, and the staff is very serviceable. And the portions are huge...Wholeheartedly recommended, will be back

Good atmosphere, not much people, chocolate ice blend very sweet but 👌. Not sure if it’s shop owner or normal staff, an uncle, long face all the way 😅. All the paintings are gorgeous, you can even purchase it if interested. Price quite expensive.

Nice relax place to spend the afternoon. Cosy aircon-ed cafe, good french fries (not on the menu 9RM). Meals take a while to be prepared (45mins) but side dishes and drinks came quickly. Overall nice place, polite staff, generally clean albeit pesky flies are everywhere in this island.

It's a beautiful cafe worth every penny. The ambience was beautiful and cozy with art pieces adorning every corner. It's by the local Langkawi artist for sale as well. The food was beautifully presented. I had a Western style breakfast with a lemongrass drink which has red dates and goji berries in it. Excellent!

The overall dining experience was quite disappointing. Most of the food was overly salty, and the portion sizes were small considering the high prices. One dish that really stood out — for the wrong reasons — was their signature seafood fried noodle. We ordered the portion meant for 4 people, but when it arrived, it looked like it could barely feed 2. After checking multiple times with the staff, they insisted it was the correct portion, which was honestly hard to believe. The quality of the food simply doesn't justify the price. It feels like this place is set up more for tourists drawn in by the view rather than anyone looking for a satisfying, good-value meal. If you’re coming, come for the scenery — not the food. Keep your expectations low when it comes to taste, quality, and portion size. —-------- In response to the owner's reply, I would like to clarify that the noodle I was referring to is the fried noodle. We ordered two portions, based on your waitress's advice that one portion is meant for two people. As we had a big group, we ordered 2 portions. Is it possible that the waitress may have given us the wrong impression about the portion size.

We were recommended by chatGPT to come here, the place is quite nice. If you come during daytime, it’s quite nice to sit out. Night time with the lighting on the dock it looks nice, but it was way too dark for us to see our food properly. A lot of seafood they did not have, no clams, no lobsters… Scollops are extremely expensive, one piece for 50RM. They said it’s because it’s imported. We tried many different dishes, we were genuinely disappointed with the flavor. All the sauce taste very similar in the end and all very salty. Portion is quite big! Even when we ordered small it all turned out normal size. It would have been good if they let us know in advance. They said nothing when we ordered, therefore too much was leftover. The whole experience was not as good as it could be. If you are looking for good tasty food with very good price and you do not care about if you are sitting on plastic chairs. Then definitely go to wonderland! We had food there just the night before and we will definitely go back. To be fair, if I have to recommend one dish, I think the deep fried fish gives good presentation and taste quite good without the sauce. You can ask for the sauce to be on the side.

The atmosphere and the food is good. Every dish ordered was tasty. The salted egg spinach and omelette were great. The tom yam soup full flavoured and thick. The noodles were seasoned nicely. Sadly the fish we ordered never arrived.

The food here was really good. Plus you get a nice view of the ocean from the tables. If dining on the water isn’t your vibe they also have seating on land with a roof above. The fish is obviously fresh as they have multiple fish tanks with live seafood ready to be cooked. The only downside is that nearly the entire menu does not have a price on the food. It’s either blank or it says market price, with a few random dishes actually showing a price. Many prices are also based on the weight of the fish, but it won’t say how much per 100g, per 1kg, etc. As a result, you may be in for a big surprise when the bill comes.

Food was good, portions were decent, ambience is really lovely. The landscaping was nicely done. Call ahead to make a booking outdoors, and come before sunset so you can enjoy the skies turning colours. It’s so beautiful. Tip- if you’re a mozzie magnet like me then do bring along some insect repellent cos i did get bitten by some sandflies. But my husband had zero bites 😫

The view is beautiful, but the prices are very exaggerated. Our bill was 800 RM. We ordered the tiger prawns, which were cooked very poorly. The lobster was also very bad. I highly recommend it.

Came over to try this place after reading about it on #GoodFoodInLangkawi — and honestly, best choice ever! 🙌 The fish was so delish! The shop assistant recommended having it cooked two ways — half Nyonya and half steamed with soy — and OMG, it was amazing! 🤤 Also ordered Kam Heong Lala and Sour Plum Chicken, both equally tasty, and their Kangkong Belacan was soooo good too 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Overall, this is definitely a must-try seafood spot in Langkawi. Affordable, and surprisingly cheap for the quality! I’ll definitely be back again! 💰 Total bill (Seabass + Lala + Chicken + Veggie + 3 rice + drinks) came up to only RM100!

Excellent recommandation form our hotel. This Chinese restaurant, specialised in fish and shellfish, offers a really nice menu selection. Either form meat and rice classics to fish dishes. I have ordered the Matis Prawn, an absolute tasty dish, not to spicy. The vegetables sides orders ( garlic cabbage and mix vegetables) were freshly cooked and well seasoned. The classic chicken sewer and sour was also perfectly cooked. Portions are well sized, you will have the choice from small, medium and big. To be honest, small ones are enough for one person and served with plain rice next to it. Prices are very reasonable regarding the size and quality! I really recommend to make a stop at this place…

Good food at a good price. Staff were super friendly too. Thanks to the staff who recommended that we could have the fish done two ways, we enjoyed both styles of steaming.

The service is best! The ordering was done well recommended by the staff! The food tasted good, and it is a no pork eatery, so you can see muslims here. And the price is considerably cheaper. If you live nearby Kuah, you can pay a visit. Do expect some waiting during the peak hour.

Had an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious — especially the butter fried prawns, fried squid, and the garlic ganleng. Each dish was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place if you’re a seafood lover!

Heard great reviews, and had to visit ourselves. Every dish was delicious, my favourite being the Kam Heong chicken - dish of the year. The owner, Michael, is very nice and was incredibly helpful with recommendations for our first visit. We already plan to return, and I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!

Way better than we thought it was going to be. They have 2 menus - fish and chips, and Indian food. We chose from both. All the food was great and the price was pretty reasonable. Cheap beers too. The only reason for the 4* is the glasses/ pot wash. The glasses they use smell like sewerage. So how they are cleaning the glasses needs to be changed or reviewed

Fish came mushy like it was forced thawed. Not good. Also as lots of skin if you’re not a skin person. Don’t wonder the fish and chip . Portion small, fries came like someone’s left over. Had live music which was nice. More for elderly people rather than young ppl. Won’t be coming back again.

Love the foods quality and relaxing atmosphere. Fish is flavoursome. Chips also tasty. Can improve on tartar sauce probably and incorporate mushy peas.

Very disappointed with my visit. I ordered the Snow Fish, but it was so dry and tough it tasted like chicken. I even asked the staff to replace just one piece, but they refused and insisted it was Snow Fish. Terrible service and poor food quality, definitely not worth the price.
