A magical place to have lunch on a summer's day. Brilliant views, hearty salads... perfect with a glass of the local wine. You probably should make a booking. It's off the bearen track, but the locals love it.

Wonderful salads, ice creams and spectacular views.

Gorgeous setting above medieval village and the Lot valley. You can join 2 beautiful tracks for long walks in wood settings. Chestnut trees galore and some fig trees too. Food at restaurant, locally sourced, generous portions €12 for a main. Outstanding selection of sorbet dessert, walnut tarts and mouth watering choc/walnut cakes. Very friendly service, suggestions and advice were offered. Highly recommended 👌

First, amazing location, super friendly staff and good ice-cream 🍦 and 🎂. So that's the good part. What cost them a ✨? (sorry for the rant) They should have something salty on the menu to serve between lunch and dinner. Call it culturally insensitive, but you're obviously in a location people finish their hike. Give them the option to eat something that is no work in the kitchen, and can easily be prepared ahead. Upside? You'll make us happy and make more money! Here's some suggestions: Some prep work: Little home made quiches Cheese and meat platter The sausage and pate plate that is already on the menu One fryer: Fries Fried camambert (or other cheese) Everything else you can throw in a fryer. Even easier: Tostis Chips Nuts Salty sticks Bread and dips You can even decide to service it only between lunch and dinner, as a snack menu, for cultural reasons.

Restaurant Chez Marie is a top-notch dining establishment in the region, renowned for its authentic French cuisine, exceptional service, and warm and welcoming atmosphere. A family of five thoroughly enjoyed their meals here, each one raving about the excellent food they experienced. The restaurant provides delicious traditional Ruthenois dishes with generous portions that are expertly prepared. Although some felt that the umbrellas outside could have been of better quality, the overall interior was pleasant and inviting.
Traditional French County cuisine in a heatutul old village setting. Not flashy but just well cooked, tasty and unpretentious. The price was very reasonable for a four course meal that started with soup, a first course, main course, desert and cheese. Also great local wine from Marcellac. Very hospitable, efficient and friendly service

However being overbooked, the restaurant let us be their guests. Friendly staff, good cook, delicious dinner and good wine. What more can you wish for!

Chez Marie was the best restaurant in the entire region by far, authentic French cuisine, great service and a friendly family atmosphere. Our family of 5 ate there and every one of us had an excellent meal! The best!

60 year old family owned restaurant where you can enjoy locally sourced locall cuisine. Delicious and feeling, generous portions. Various price menus, good value for money. During July &August you need to book to avoid disapointment. You can eat on the terrasse with beautiful view even in poor weather as they have weather proof shutters.

Good food, and nice service. Only the umbrellas looked a bit cheap; But the rest of the interior was nice. Overall a nice place to have eat. I would recommend the chicken in beer. It was really delicious.

Classic French restaurant. Delicious traditional Ruthenois dishes (lots of meat), well prepared and with sizable portions.

Beautiful place, to stop, and have a good glass of wine in the rives du lot

The location is lovely—relaxed atmosphere and a nice setting to sit and enjoy. Before visiting, we looked up the menu online and found a selection of five dishes, which seemed promising. However, when we arrived, it turned out the menu had changed due to new owners, and we were only given a choice between three dishes, and two salads. That was a bit of a letdown, especially since we had different expectations based on what we saw online. The food itself was decent—nothing spectacular, but well-prepared. A positive point is that the staff made an effort to speak English, which we appreciated. Still, overall it felt limited and not quite worth the visit based on the current offering.

Beautiful place by the river. Had an excellent trout. Lamb of my son was very good too, as the Kebab.

We purchased supplies for our walk here, they have bread, boiled eggs, cheese, cold meats, water, anything you need for a picnic! Most importantly, they make a good coffee here for a reasonable price!

Don't come at the lunch rush on a Sunday. We were hiking the chemin de Compostelle and unfortunately arrived at the same time as a group of cyclists. The woman serving both the restaurant counter and the attached grocery was unfriendly and really quite rude. The food did end up being good, but we were so frustrated by the time we got it that it was difficult to enjoy it.

The restaurant serves modern and flavorful cuisine inspired by the seasons. Guests have praised the friendly staff and delicious food, making it a highly recommended dining option in Conques.
Room very spacious with lots of period features and good through draft on a hot night. Accommodated our bicycles without any fuss and had a great evening meal on the terrace.

Good room. Good food. Mediocre breakfast, as almost everywhere. Sadly the hotelier is very unwelcome. Eats while talking to you, rude demeanor. Unpleasant. We pilgrims keep your lights on. Give us some respect and don’t treat us like a commodity. Maybe you should walk a piece of the Chemin to understand our needs.
Oliver P — Google review
Who said the french were unfriendly? The owners here were one of the most hospitable people we’ve met. Helping us to confirm the location of our bus stop with the local tourist office. The hotel is clean with plenty of historic charm

Great town , wonderful hotel, spacious clean rooms and bathroom. Good restaurant. Breakfast no great
JP S — Google review
Despite sitting outside for 15 mins waiting for a menu we were ignored. When we asked for a menus a rude young girl just pointed inside indicating we need to eat inside??? We were offered a table between other diners with no way out without asking others to move? When we asked for one of the empty two seat tables the girl shrugged, scowled and reluctantly move us? I would have left but we were starving The place was full of flies and wasps annoying everyone. The salads really average . Go somewhere else to eat is my recommendation

Great Benjamin for the service between English, French and Spanish, very kind service, cozy bedroom, good bathroom, beautiful view to the cozy town, one of the most gorgeous of France for sure, delicious dinner and best mash potatoes ever! Our best regards!

Excellent service..welcoming..clean rooms and restaurant. Menu choice does not match web-site information. Petit dejeuner is expensive for what is available. Access to bedrooms is difficult for older people and lighting needs yo be improved.
Margaret S — Google review
The hotel is old, but the rooms and linen are very common! The staff is kind! The food in the restaurant was not good and I do not recommend it!
