In the heart of lush greenery in Buon Ma Thuot lies the magnificent Dray Nur Waterfall, one of Vietnam's largest and most spectacular waterfalls. With a breathtaking height of over 20 meters, this natural wonder captivates visitors as it cascades down like a majestic curtain of water. The area also boasts other attractions such as Gia Long and Dray Sap Waterfalls, set amidst a stunning rainforest.
Nice double waterfall on the border between Dak Lak & Dak Nong Province. Easy to reach from Dak Mil on the busy QL14, or the rural road DT683/DT684, which is more scenic with less traffic but with partially challenging road surfaces.

We had a fun day, rafting, did not do the biking thing but had lunch at the restaurant near the falls and the food was quite good. They had several packages but we arrived too late for the others. The rafting guides were awesome! There was a smaller set of waterfalls we swam in for a while. Would like to come back with the kids and do again!
Scott S — Google review
Was lucky to see it in Full flight. There are several waterfalls close together here.
Paul J — Google review
Not easy to find the place on your own when you ride a motorbike as there is no information about the site along the road. Best way is to follow the AH17 and check google map regulary !
Jean-Francois P — Google review
The Dray Nur waterfall is beautiful! It sprays water on peiple who go close to it . It is amazing !
Trung V — Google review
Beautiful creatures. Not recommend traveling here by bike because the trip is long with many big containers on the road. The area has restroom and restaurants, food and drinks (and ice-cream) are reasonable priced. Would recommend preparing bug spray and sunscreen.
Jean T — Google review
One of Buon Ma Thuat's remarkable waterfalls. Entry tickets are affordable, there are tables for picnics and plenty of space for taking photos.
Boredguy42 — Google review
Quite a ride down a terrible condition road on the way there. I rode a different but longer route out which was better. Very tranquil. And the falls were quite quiet. I think after some heavy rain they may be more spectacular.

Nestled in Tan Loi Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, Trung Nguyen Coffee Village is not your typical Vietnamese village. It's a unique destination that goes beyond being just a coffee retail spot. This picturesque compound features replica traditional houses, food courts, and stores celebrating local coffee production. Visitors can freely explore the beautiful scenery with waterfalls, bridges, streams, ponds, and traditional stilt houses.
Trung Nguyen Coffee Village in Buon Ma Thuot is a must-visit for coffee lovers and cultural enthusiasts. The stunning architecture, lush surroundings, and immersive coffee experience make it a standout destination. Visitors can explore the coffee-making process, sample a variety of brews—including the famous Trung Nguyen Legend—and learn about Vietnam’s coffee heritage at the on-site museum.

It is a great place to drink coffee and understand the religious coffee culture. Must visit if you are visiting Buon Ma Thuot

A nice and well maintained places - many trees and flowers, some coffee trees as well. Good photo zone and cooling off. No admission fee.

This place is spacious, airy, rich in tradition and history. There are beautiful spots everywhere and it’s a great place for those who like taking pictures. You can find there ponds, flowers, plants, trees and big stones. Coffee houses are made from wood. You can simply walk around or enjoy drinking delicious coffee.
Adriana M — Google review
This is a coffee shop in the style of garden village. There is no entry ticket. Here you can seek for most of the drink, especially, the coffee. There are many beautiful corners for you to take photographs. The village is design as ancient one. Furthermore , you can buy coffee product here too. There is a big Krong house here too.

Museums
Specialty Museums
Dak Lak Museum, situated on Y Ngong Street in the heart of Buon Ma Thuot, offers an immersive journey through the history and culture of Dak Lak province. The museum showcases a diverse range of exhibits, from ancient stone tools to artifacts from the American War, providing insights from the North Vietnamese perspective. Visitors can also explore natural history displays featuring quirky taxidermy and traditional clothing, musical instruments, and ritual objects representing minority cultures.
This museum is certainly worth a visit if you are interested in the history and cultures of the Central Highlands. It was built in 2008 in cooperation with France and the Museum of Ethnology in Vietnam. The architecture is inspired by the longhouses of ethnic groups in the region and it's all information texts are also displayed in Êdê language (together with Vietnamese, English and French). Translations are mostly good, apart from a few exceptions (for example, translating Đổi Mới as "Innovation" is not appropriate). I visited mostly the ethnographic and historic sections and can recommend both. The ethnographic sections covers the cultures, way of life and arts of the ethnic groups of the province. Elephant taming features prominently. Local ethnic minorities are set in context with the history of migration of ethnic Vietnamese and other ethnic groups from the North. The historic section focuses mostly on the colonial period, the wars against France and the USA and the time since reunification. There was an exhibition by the province government in the lobby covering topics such as development plans. There's a cafe on the east side of the museum (pass by the toilets and then go downstairs). I enjoyed the view on some very old trees in the park from there. Probably not by coincidence, this museum is located on Le Duan Road, named after a politician associated with reunification. Opening hours vary somewhat during the week and the information on Google may not be exact.

The story of Buon Ma Thuot and the long history of this land will make you fall in love with the whole thing: people, culture, natural, food.
Thanh N — Google review
An amazing experience! The ticket was only 30k VND for a lot of offerings on two floors. The museum presents according to categories, culture history and biodiversity. All sections are well made and presented with three languages (of which belongs to an ethnicity). The space is very huge with chairs and toilet for your convenience. Highly recommend visiting this over Coffee museum 👌
Jean T — Google review
Personnally, so far, it's my favourite museum in southern Vietnam. I loved the exhibits and the explanations (translated into French and English). The exhibitions are well-organized and easy to understand. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Buon Ma Thuot.
Anton K — Google review
The place is small , shows the history of the minority life in the area. But the modern history of the area, from the french and American war time isn't clear. Over than that , the place is a good stop to visit
Adam G — Google review
If you find yourself in BMT, this museum is an absolute must-see. We immersed ourselves in the rich local cultures and fascinating history for nearly three hours. With such a wealth of exhibits, boredom is simply not an option in this museum. The entrance fee is only $$15k Dong, and parking is free. Our visit was thoroughly enjoyable, and we highly recommend it to anyone in town.

Ticket is 30k per person. Very well display, have Vietnamese, French, English, and Ede language. They open from 7.30-16.30 from Tue-Sun, close on Monday. A better choice than the coffee museum! It's a nice experience. They have 3 sections: culture, biodiversity, and history of the central highland. The history section is closed for maintenance when we were there (In Feb 2023). They also have an exhibition of photos in the 1950s about the highlands people life. Very interesting. We spent about 2 hours in here. The museum has a big park as well. Must visit when you are in Buon Ma Thuot!
Huyen T — Google review
I teared up a little bit visiting this place. It has a good inside structure to go with the flow. Luckily I went there during the exhibition of AnimalAsia on captive elephants that were released to Yok Đôn National Park to establish the new elephant friendly tourism activity. Overall I had more fun in this than in World Coffee Museum.

The World Coffee Museum, located about 3 km from Dak Lak Museum in Buon Ma Thuot, boasts a futuristic design that captivates visitors. The museum offers an impressive exhibition space showcasing the global story of coffee. For a ticket price of 70,000 VND, guests can immerse themselves in valuable information and capture contemporary art-style photos.
The ticket is worth it, but it talks too much abt the President of Trung Nguyen and the meeting room inside is not necessary. The story behind brands is good but I think it's damn much
Anna P — Google review
I was truly impressed by the distinctive architecture and rich Central Highlands cultural atmosphere at the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Museum. The exhibition areas are modern and well-designed, blending tradition with creativity. The coffee here is aromatic and flavorful, with many options to sample and purchase as souvenirs. However, some areas lacked detailed explanations or interactive elements. Having more guided tours or comprehensive audio guides would certainly enhance the overall experience. That said, this is still a must-visit destination when in Buon Ma Thuot – especially for coffee lovers and those interested in learning more about the culture of the Central Highlands.
Harry L — Google review
the museum talks in great detail about coffee, coffee cultures and local culture. it would be great if you go with a guide to understand everything. you won't regret going there.
Kathy T — Google review
Yes it's the Trung Nguyen Legend show but still an interesting and informative museum in a nice and tranquil setting. Ticket a bit pricey for what you get but it includes a free coffee! They have acquired a big collection of German artifacts. Bring your 📸 !
Richard T — Google review
It’s inside a range of very nice houses Nearby also many food to eat Have to buy ticket to enter
Admen L — Google review
The museum is average. There is only a small amount of information about Vietnamese coffee. The free coffee was awful and not prepared properly. The cafe is way overpriced. A lot of the space is empty, a library where you are not allowed to touch the books, or a movie theatre with a documentary about instant coffee from the 80s. The price is ridiculouluy expensive at 150,000 dong (discount only applies to locals from this state). It’s worth 50,000 max.

Coffee musemum, worth visited. The entrance price is 150k VND. Highly recommened for anyone that love coffee history, it is also a place where you can take stunning photos There is a coffee bar inside and an outdoor one

Pagoda
Sac Tu Khai Doan is a grand temple located on a sunny plateau, covering nearly 7 acres. It features ornate prayer halls with intricately carved wooden walls and houses large Buddha statues. The pagoda showcases a blend of Hue royal architecture, Central Highlands stilt house design, and Ede longhouse elements. Constructed in the early 1950s, it holds historical significance as the last pagoda in Vietnam to receive the royal title from the feudal regime.
Nice temple which you can freely Wander around the grounds of. Just make sure you wear appropriate clothing to be respectful. There are many nice large bonsai trees and beautiful large flowers!
Raphael N — Google review
the architecture of the pagoda is designed according to Hue' ancient rường house architecture, harmoniously combined with the Central Highlands rông house style, mixed with a bit of modern architecture. there are many other categories that are quite impressive. when entering to worship, take off your shoes to maintain the dignity of this place and i saw a few pups 😍

The restaurant Bò Nhúng Me Cà Te Quán may appear disorderly from the outside, giving the impression of a negative atmosphere. However, the staff proves to be exceptionally helpful and easily approachable, even in the absence of a shared language. Their tamarind-infused beef dish is incredibly delectable and comes highly recommended - so much so that dining here two consecutive days became a necessity. It is undoubtedly one of the finest culinary experiences encountered in Vietnam.
From the outside, the place looks chaotic, and might seem like the attitude is not good, but actually the staff was really helpful, easy to communicate even without the common language. Their tamarind beef is extremely delicious, would highly recommend to try it here - we ended up dining here 2 days in a row, one of the best dishes I’ve tried in Vietnam.
Alena K — Google review
It's Vietnamese BBQ restaurant. Their signature dish is Tamarindo Sauce Beef BBQ. It tastes really good. Dipping bread into the sauce is very good idea. The price is cheap. The cost performace is really good. However the service itself is not really good. Staffs don't smile and just serve. The serving time is not bad though. Anyway how they are conscious about "clean" is very quetionable…Actually the restaurant is not clean….
The W — Google review
The portions are very small and expensive, not tasty. They brought peanuts as a treat and asked for money when paying the bill
Melike K — Google review
Reasonable price, variety of dishes, mostly about beef, also has pork, chicken, frog, seafood, their specities are saute beef with tamarin sauce. Small place, indoor and outdoor tables. Clean enough, quick service. They sell very special wine fermented in bamboo, including a tiny cup made from bamboo, very interesting for tourists to buy as a gift.
Mai H — Google review
Crowded, staff unfriendly. Not recommand for group/family. Food is nothing special. Hot place & dỉty. Small table. Suiable for 2,3 per. Won’t come again.

Nem Nướng ninh hòa Thanh Trầm is a beloved traditional dish in Daklak, influenced by neighboring regions. This grilled pork roll has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Located in the city center near Buon Ma Thuot Market, Thanh Tram offers an inviting and open space to savor this delicacy.
I went and ate here three days in a row. This is the best meals I had while in vietnam for 3 weeks. The meat is well seasoned, with garlic, roasted rice powder, and other spices I could not put my finger on, but was encased onto a chopstick and roasted on a charcoal grill. These platter comes with a fried rice paper that comes from Binh Ninh that is softened between sheets of banana leaves to soften them up overnight before they are rolled and fried. The greens are fresh and various flavors and scents. Everything gets rolled up into a thin rice paper sheet along with warm rice noodles and dipped in a sauce with hints of ground seasoned meat, peanut, and love. Thinking about the meals I had here still makes my mouth water. Don’t hesitate to try this place out. It is the best of the row of restaurants there. A platter sets you back $45k Dong or roughly $2 USD. You can thank me after you gorge on this ambrosia of Vietnam.👍e

CLEAN, fresh and delicious. Came here two days in a row. 2nd day they didn't bring picks or mango though
Jay N — Google review
A good local food shop. Really tasty, enough seasoned grilled meat combine with other leaves, pickles and vermicelli then dip it into the peanut sauce. The best combination! We came here late at the time they were about to close, they had cleaned half of the shop but they still welcome us happil. Very affordable price: 45.000vnd/ 1 pax set.

Steak house
Nestled in the heart of Buon Ma Thuot, Res Beefsteak has quickly captured the hearts of locals with its delightful and diverse pizza offerings. This charming eatery stands out as the first French-style restaurant in the area, boasting a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its unique decor. The menu is a creative fusion of familiar flavors with innovative twists, making each pizza both comforting and exciting.
Good food. Really recommend pizza and beef with pepper. The pumpkin soup is not so good, can order smashed potato with cream sauce.

Dont eat here. Reservation 4 days early, no one know. Wait 45min told 1 of 4 dish not available. 1hr 2 dish came and 1 more not available. Wait 1h10min, only 2 of 4 food came. Other restaurants to eat in BMT.
Johnathan B — Google review
I tried to do my best to like this place but to no avail. The food that I ate was extremely average and the meat was not tasty at all. Maybe it was because they put lots of sauce on top, who knows. For that price there are better restaurants in the city for sure.
Ilia G — Google review
Local western food is best way to describe this restaurant. The atmosphere should be good at night with lightings etc.
Edwin T — Google review

Sharon M — Google review
The steak are good. The price is a bit expensive.
Son D — Google review
Beef steaks Vietnamese style. Forget medium rare piece of premium meat, you'll get something that looks like it has been just taken out of a McDonald's burger. If you know what you're getting, it's actually quite OK though. I wanted to give 4 stars initially (they have some good and inexpensive wine as well), then I once tried pork ribs, which were absolutely appalling, so I wanted to settle on 3. Finally, I realized there is a perfect steak house some 300 meters from there, so I'm giving just 2...

Wine Shop Ban Mê offers a delightful fusion of vintage European charm and the rich flavors of Central Highland cuisine. This unique establishment not only serves traditional dishes like local beef salad, grilled ribs, and stewed chicken with green peppers but also pairs them with an impressive selection of wines. Each dish is infused with local herbs and spices, creating a distinctive taste that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Seeing that the shop has a lot of wine lines and also soju wine, it's so great, I will buy more.
