Nestled in a charming 1934 building, the Phuket Thai Hua Museum offers an intriguing glimpse into the rich history of Chinese immigrants in Phuket. As you wander through its thoughtfully curated galleries, you'll uncover stories that shaped the island's cultural landscape. The museum also features a cozy coffee shop where visitors can relax and reflect on their experience.
I’m really feel touching and grateful that I’ve been this incredibly museum as a Taiwanese who speak Hokkein language, here presents a lot of information about China migrant how to flee geopolitics and escape to here to try to survive, it’s totally tough and hard working which it’s very thankful for Thai people’s support. They build good relationships until now that Thai-Chinese could donate back to society. This is peaceful society circle looks like.

Very fascinated to understand the cultural and economic significance of the Chinese influence within in Phuket. The museum was quite clean and quiet which pales in comparison to the busy streets of old town nearby. At the time of my visit there were some works happening in the building so I guess it affected som exhibitions which I was not able to see properly. But other than that, definitely recommend this place for a nice visit when in town.

Pretty cool house but the price is a bit much. If you’re into the Chinese history of Thailand and industrial development in the late 18th century, then god bless your heart and soul. It was a nice place to escape the rain for us and a good visit before we had an amazing lunch at a Michelin star restaurant down the street. Not bad just not super exciting to be honest.
Anthony L — Google review
I believe it's not worth the 200 bath entry but it was interesting. It's about how the Chinese made Phuket great as they came over during the tin mining times, earning political influence and creating their own communities and schools. In the mid 19th-20th century the population was really 60-80% of Chinese origins, so it's understandable to give a museum to commemorate their influence. Big roof ventilators try to cool down the place, it's still quite warm in there. If you want to learn about Phuket history, you should rather visit the Phuket Museum 8 minutes walk from here.
Andrea D — Google review
The museum is small, but it’s interesting to learn how Chinese immigrants made effort to bing in Chinese culture and keep the heritage. Short intro from Perplexity: Phuket Thai Hua Museum is housed in a beautifully preserved Sino-Portuguese building on Krabi Road in Phuket Old Town, originally built in 1934 as a Chinese-language school for local Thai-Chinese families. The museum showcases Phuket's history, especially the story of Chinese immigrants who came to work in the tin mining industry, and offers exhibits on local culture, architecture, traditions, and cuisine. Visitors can explore interactive displays, historical artifacts, and short films, making it an engaging cultural and educational experience. The museum also features a charming open-air courtyard and garden with old mining tools, reflecting the island's heritage.
YC C — Google review
It is a must visit if you want to learn about Phuket history and culture. One of the highlights for me was learning about the early days of tin mining and how it shaped the island. The displays are simple but effective, and they make you appreciate Phuket in a new way — far beyond beaches and tourism. The inner courtyard is another lovely touch. It’s quiet, airy, and gives you a moment to pause between rooms.

Phuket Old Town Sunday Night Market Walking Street is a vibrant and diverse market located in the heart of Phuket's historic Old Town. This bustling market, which opened in 2013, showcases the rich cultural tapestry of the Sino-Portuguese community along with Indian, Chinese, and Muslim influences.
It was a great experience while roaming around old Phuket town as its beautiful yet crowdy at times but its a must visit if you love food and shopping unique Thailand products. Pretty cheap for shopping and have a good variety and also has the best food!! We went there at the festival time so it was quite fun around the place!!
Saman H — Google review
The Phuket Night Market is a vibrant showcase of Thailand’s heart and soul—where sizzling street food meets the charm of handcrafted souvenirs. As the sun sets, the streets come alive with color, aroma, and sound. The air is rich with the scent of grilled seafood, skewered meats, spicy papaya salad, mango sticky rice, and crispy Thai pancakes made right before your eyes. Every bite tells a story—authentic, bold, unforgettable. Wander further and you’ll find rows of stalls lined with artisan crafts: handwoven bags, coconut-shell jewelry, carved soaps, and quirky artwork by local creators. These aren’t tourist trinkets—they’re pieces of culture, made with skill and care. The market isn’t just a place to shop or eat—it’s an experience. It captures the spirit of Phuket: warm, creative, and buzzing with life. Whether you’re hunting for unique keepsakes or just want to eat like a local, this night market is a must-visit.

Phuket Town Night Market is a must-visit spot for anyone coming to Phuket! The atmosphere is lively and full of energy, with so many things to see, taste, and buy. You can find everything here—from delicious local street food and refreshing drinks to handmade souvenirs, trendy clothes, and unique accessories. The food section is definitely the highlight — grilled seafood, mango sticky rice, Thai pancakes, and local snacks are all freshly made and super affordable. The vendors are friendly and helpful, and the whole market feels very safe and welcoming. It’s also a great place to experience local culture and see how people from all walks of life come together to enjoy the evening. Whether you’re there to shop, eat, or just stroll around, this market is a perfect way to spend your weekend night in Phuket. Highly recommended for couples, families, and anyone who loves exploring local vibes! 🌙✨

A must-visit if you’re in Phuket on a Sunday! The night market in Old Town is vibrant, lively, and full of character. From local street food and handmade crafts to live music and boutique stalls, there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is festive and family-friendly, with plenty of halal options and unique souvenirs. It’s a great place to soak in the local culture, try new dishes, and enjoy a relaxed evening stroll. Just be prepared for crowds — it gets busy, but that’s part of the charm. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic Phuket experience.

There are so many food stalls, souvenirs, and local handmade items. The atmosphere is lively with music and street performances. It can get crowded, but that’s part of the fun. Great place to walk around, eat, and take photos. Highly recommended if you visit Phuket!

You have to visit if you’re in Phuket on a Sunday evening, this street is beautiful without the market on but it comes to life when the market is there! So much delicious food to choose from and everything else you can think of! Great live music all the way down the road and we couldn’t believe how big it was, had a really lovely evening walking up and down :)
Leo G — Google review
Great market for tourists. Lots of food and an electic array of Thai and fusion street food. Some good shopping possibilities too with the usual tourist tat complimented with some classy and original options. It’s held on a walking street with old style houses which adds to the atmosphere. Definitely worth the trek over to Phuket city.
John H — Google review
If you HATE crowds this is not the market for you. There are SOOOO many people, you’re constantly dodging people many of whom don’t care if they walk into you. The street is long, stalls are varied but the footpaths are extremely crowded, we hated it as it was hard to stop and buy food and find a place out of the way to stand and eat it. Bring cash and your patience. Been there, got the tshirt and have no desire to rush back!

Soi Romanee is a vibrant and colorful narrow alley in Phuket, previously known for its red-light district but now transformed into a trendy area filled with souvenir shops, cafes, bars, and street art. The Saturday night market on Soi Romanee offers an active atmosphere where visitors can enjoy local street cuisine and mingle with both residents and tourists.
Soi Romanee is in Old Phuket Town where the Sino Portuguese architecture is very well preserved. Not a very long alley so you can explore in a very short time. Used to be a red light area and now it has been preserved as a touristy alley.

Very colourful buildings and streets with Portuguese influenced architecture. It’s the perfect place if you’re wanting to get Instagram content. There lots of little street stalls and plenty of good coffee too!

It’s a very pretty place especially if you want to take an Instagram picture. Very colourful buildings. It doesn’t have to be this street specifically, just walk around the neighbourhood and discover the buildings.

What a place to be. Amazingly beautiful, houses and shops are beautifully maintained. A lot of shopping options, food outlets and so much more. Soi Romanee can be termed as heart of Phuket Old Town. Soi Romanee was once a red-light district for the many Chinese laborers who came to work the tin mines. The name of this soi is intriguing as rommani is an old-fashioned Thai word that has several meanings such as 'beautiful', 'adorable' and 'favorite'.

A very colorful street perpendicular to Thalang and Dibuk roads. The start of the street has a cafe that is an Instagram hot spot (the wedding Cafe, as it is unofficially known - the pictures give you a better idea). It has sino European architecture, cafes and the road leads to Wat Mongkhon Nimit at its other end.

Shrine
Sights & Landmarks
Jui Tui Shrine, a vibrant Chinese shrine in Phuket, is known for its annual Vegetarian Festival. After undergoing renovations, the shrine now houses three large statues of different Chinese gods, with Tean Hu Huan Soy being the most prominent. The shrine's location was moved following a fire that nearly destroyed it years ago. Visitors can also see a firecracker house next to the shrine where people often throw burning firecrackers during celebrations.
At a walking distance from old town, I visited in the evening. It closes at 8. Very beautiful decorated Chinese temple witnessing history of Phuket. There are statues of lions at the entrance of the main temple. These statues have rolling stone balls in their mouth. I wonder, how these balls are carved out inside the mouth. There is a huge long trunk of a tree kept horizontally with a garland on it. I could not get the significance of it.

I went for 9th Dragon Emperor or Vegetarian festival and spend last two nights. Very crowded and noisy but great experience. The second was fire works blasting non stop for 4 hours and the atmosphere was surreal. Any devotees should make a pilgrimage there once.

Beautiful shrine and great atmosphere. We were there in October and there was famous vegetarian festival in Phuket There were crowds of people but everything was so calm and good 😌

As you approach the entrance, admire the carvings and detailed murals on the grey marble walls outside. Inside, you wander through several colourful halls with an array of deities, paintings and flags. It's beautiful and I felt so ignorant not knowing more about these religions, when I watched the devotees streaming in and out, shaking the "fortune sticks" and lighting incence sticks. The place is so rich in colour and symbolism. Amazing.

Vegetarian Festival Lived with the people of Phuket for a long time. more than a hundred years Vegetarian diet started from The opera troupe is from China. to show at Kathu District and having a vegetarian ceremony there for the first time Due to the outbreak of epidemics, a lot of people died and got sick. but it is strange None of the people in the opera troupe were sick. after an inquiry The opera troupe worshiped Chinese gods and ate vegetarian food, abstained from meat, and performed fasting for nine days and nine nights. and a miraculous event occurred that made the villagers in that area recover from the plague. Raya Restaurant, located in Phuket Old Town, is a century-old establishment with original mosaic-tiled floors and walls adorned with vintage tea and coffee posters as well as images of Thai monarchs.
Food was impeccable, as per their Michelin star. The best would be their yellow crab curry. If you’re up for the spice, would totally recommend normal spice. The staff, especially Lin, were amazing with their service. Lin is always smiling and bringing the friendly Thai vibes to our table, personally servicing us our water and rice, which we were very satisfied with. Thank you for the experience.

We recently dined at this Michelin-starred gem, and it truly lived up to its reputation. The food was nothing short of exceptional—every dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with great care and creativity. Each bite was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef’s mastery of technique and a deep understanding of balance in flavours. The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. They guided us through the menu and wine pairings with ease, adding to the overall dining experience. Interestingly, we also tried another Michelin-starred restaurant located just next door during our visit. While both restaurants were excellent in their own right, each had its own unique charm and culinary perspective. It’s rare to experience such consistently high standards back-to-back, and we left feeling thoroughly impressed and inspired. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fine dining, thoughtful service, and a truly memorable culinary experience.
Zeno R — Google review
The crab is very fresh but the curry just don’t taste like curry, overall still acceptable. Steam Fish with lemon is ok as well. Maybe the Michelin rating makes us has too high expectations from them. Any local Thai restaurant can easily match this standard.
Kingsley C — Google review
From the moment we entered Raya Restaurant, the ambiance immediately felt like stepping into someone’s loving Thai-grandmother’s home; warm, nostalgic and deeply comforting. The service was incredibly attentive: the staff anticipated our needs, were friendly without being intrusive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What we had: • The signature dish of Goong Ma-kham (Fried Shrimp with Tamarind Sauce) was outstanding. The shrimp were generous in size, fresh, and the tamarind glaze hit the perfect balance of sweet-tangy and garlicky. • The spring rolls arrived crisp and full of flavour, an ideal starter that set the tone for a great meal. • And then the world-famous Crab Meat with Curry & Coconut Milk (Kang-Puu) truly deserves every bit of the hype. Rich, comforting coconut curry, great chunks of crab meat, and it absolutely blew us away , honestly a 20/10 experience on my personal scale. Atmosphere & vibe: The building itself is charmingly old-world: a beautifully preserved Sino-Portuguese-style house in the heart of Phuket Old Town. Sitting there, you feel less like you’re in a tourist spot and more like you’ve been invited into a family home to a special meal. It’s cosy, characterful and very much part of the experience. Final thoughts: If you’re in Phuket and want a meal that goes beyond simply “eating out”, Raya Restaurant delivers; for the flavours, for the service, and for the warm, home-y ambiance. Without hesitation, I’d come back again. Highly recommended.

Must try baby I tried fried rice in a pineapple as it said it a rcm but for me its a bit too sweet. We had a lovely lunch at this hidden gem. We seemed to have missed the lunchtime rush arriving around 1.45pm. We got a table straight away, service was prompt and the menu was explained as some items had already sold out. We went mostly with the recommendations which were excellent. Value for money, service and friendliness of staff were all fab.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Old Phuket Town, Tu Kab Khao Restaurant is a charming gem housed in a century-old building that exudes history and character. This delightful eatery specializes in authentic Southern Thai cuisine, offering an array of traditional dishes alongside unique creations like mackerel soup with tamarind and red crab meat curry. The inviting interior features plush sofa chairs and warm lighting, creating a cozy yet elegant dining atmosphere.
Tu Kab Khao in Phuket Old Town ended up being one of those spots that feels a little fancy but still homey. It’s inside this old Sino-Portuguese house with velvet chairs and high ceilings, and honestly just a nice place to sit down after walking around the street market. The vibe is laid-back, and our server, Kan, couldn’t have been nicer, she kept checking in on us, explained a couple of dishes, and just made the whole thing feel even better. Food-wise, the pork belly stew was the star, tender, rich, and exactly the kind of comforting dish you want with rice. The salt and chili prawns were another favorite, with just the right amount of spice and crunch. Nothing felt overdone, just simple dishes cooked really well. Between the atmosphere, the food, and Kan’s friendliness, it’s definitely a place I’d go back to next time I’m in Phuket.

A solid restaurant with solid entries. Almost all the food we ordered was good, especially the local stewed pork, everything else was just good but nothing to write home about. The restaurant was equipped to serve children unlike most of the restaurants I visited in Phuket (had high chairs and toddler cutlery). The only big minus, and it was a big one was that their menu listed steamed snapper, but they served us sea bass and tried to argue with us. Thankfully a quick Google image search proved that we were correct. They refunded the order and that was the end of it. No apologies whatsoever for such a miss. Make sure if you order the snapper you get a snapper.

A Phuket-style restaurant that’s really famous among tourists definitely worth a try! The flavor of each dish is amazing and truly delicious. The place is beautifully decorated in Phuket style. The only thing that could be improved is the staff communication. If there’s an issue or discussion, it would be better to talk privately rather than in front of customers.

Nestled in a charming Colonial-style building, One Chun Cafe & Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Phuketian and Southern Thai cuisine. This beloved eatery has garnered attention for its traditional dishes that evoke nostalgia with every bite. As you step inside, you'll notice the unique cash-only policy, which adds to its old-world charm. The friendly staff includes a waiter fluent in Chinese, ensuring that all guests feel welcome and can easily navigate the menu.
Probably the best authentic Thai meal we've had during our first week in Thailand. This restaurant is Michelin recognized since 2019-2025 in a row, and for a very good reason!! The staff was super kind and very professional, and the food was served very quickly although the restaurant was quite full (even though it wasn't peak hour). We came for a late lunch (around 4pm) so we didn't even have to wait for a table, which is great as they don't take reservations in advance at all. If you'd like to come eat here, I'd recommend avoiding peak hours, then you can walk in and be seated very quickly. We were very hungry so we ordered quite a lot of dishes, and every singly one of them was absolute heaven. From the salads section we ordered the pomelo salad, mango salad & papaya salad. All of them were refreshing & very spicy, but my favorite was the mango salad as it wasn't too spicy, yet full of flavor. For mains we ordered the yellow curry with crab meat & noodles which was so delicate & creamy, yet spicy just at the right level. It's on the recommended section for a good reason. We also tried the classic stir fried morning glory, which is always a dish the you can never go wrong with, as well as it balances the rest of the dishes that are usually quite spicy. The highlight of our lunch was by far the fried grill pork with chilli, pepper & garlic - it was the perfect balance of sweet & spicy with shawarma-like pork slices, and it was so good that we kept thinking of ordering another one at the end, although we were so full. From end to end the entire experience was 10/10, so if you're in the Phuket old town area, this is definitely a must-visit restaurant.

It's a Michelin-Award-winning restaurant since 2019. I found it on Google and went to try it. When I walked in, I told them how many people were there, and they gave me a slip of paper with a queue number and took me to the waiting room. I waited there for about 20 minutes before being taken to my table. You can browse the menu in the waiting room. I ordered at the table and it arrived in about 20-30 minutes. The crab soup was delicious, but a bit too spicy for me. I recommend it if you like spicy food. And the portion is a bit large; you can order it for two people to share. The pork was delicious, and I definitely recommend it. For dessert, I think I'll order a different dessert on my next visit. The prices aren't cheap, but they're not too expensive either. The waiters are friendly; some don't speak English, but they'll direct you to one that does. I also bought steamed rice to go, so they also offer takeaway service. I'll be back here on my next visit and I highly recommend it.

Walking aroubd old street already is beautiful, however getting to dine here made our day so much better. Looking at google reviews, we went to this place foe lunch. This place gets really busy during lunch hours. We went around 3 PM and had ro wait around 15 minutes for a table. However, the food was anazing especially most recommended braised pork. The ambience was really cosy along with the food. We didnt much enjot the cashew chicken but overall a must visit place. And yes it also has michellin star rating for the past 5 to 6 years. A good place to dine with good pricing as well. We spent around 900 bhat for two people without alcohol. We had braiswd pork, cashew chicken, fried mushrooms and steam rice.

Came here for dinner, 3 of us spent about THB 1180 with bottled water. Food was really tasty, proper local Phuket style. Service was super fast, staff friendly, and the place has a nice old Chinese-Peranakan vibe. There’s a waiting area but better come before 6pm — saw a long line forming after that, especially on Sunday. Worth it if you want authentic local food

This restaurant definitely lived up to the expectations! We loved the food- it was super super delicious. Be prepared to wait here- 20minutes to 45 minutes is the usual wait time here. We went here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner and both times we had to wait for about 30-40 mins. We loved the pad Thai, the fried fish, mango smoothie, green coconut curry chicken and mango with sticky rice. The restaurant is well maintained, looks quite old and has a rustic feel to it. The restaurant accepts only cash so be prepared for that.

One Chun is a Michelin award-winning restaurant for a reason! From the moment we arrived, we could tell we were in for something special. As we stood at the entrance, we chatted with a couple leaving, and they couldn’t stop raving about the pork belly, insisting it would not disappoint. They were absolutely right. It. was. incredible! Walking inside felt like stepping back in time to the mid-20th century. The decor was charmingly antique, full of character and history. We were guided to a waiting area until a table became available and it was clear why there was a crowd, as this is truly a must-try restaurant in Phuket. Once seated, we ordered a variety of dishes to sample: the famous steamed pork belly, crab meat with lemon sauce, crispy shrimp cake, red curry duck, and clear tofu soup. Every single dish was bursting with unique flavours, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. It’s rare to find a place where each item on the table is equally delicious, but One Chun delivered on all fronts. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, even taking a moment to play with our child. We loved our dining experience so much that we returned with our relatives, and they were just as impressed. One Chun truly lives up to its Michelin recognition, a memorable culinary experience that shouldn’t be missed.

One Chun Cafe: A Michelin Bib Gourmand That Demands a Second Visit While Mindy and I typically seek out new experiences for every meal, every once in a while there's a place we go to twice. For us on this trip, this was that restaurant. We always pay attention when the Michelin Guide reviews a city, and One Chun was recognized with Bib Gourmand—aligning with our preference for outstanding food and value. The First Impression: The Iced Tea was strong and made with real, good Thai tea—as opposed to the supermarket Lipton we encountered elsewhere. The milk tea was a clear indicator of the quality to come. Oh yeah, in the states we call their milk tea “Thai Iced Tea” which usually is understood in the US to make with condensed milk. In Thailand you have to order “Milk Tea” as asking for just Thai Iced tea will come sans milk. The Dishes That Kept Us Coming Back: -Morning Glory: We shared and while Mindy prefers her veggies softer I thought it was perfect—nice and crisp. -Tamarind Shrimp: Mindy loved the tamarind shrimp; the sauce was flavorful and hit the ideal balance of sweet without being cloying, and the shrimp were perfectly tender. -Fried Pork with Chili and Garlic: Delicious, with the right amount of spice- flavor without excessive heat. -Chicken Panang Curry: I love a good curry and was impressed again by the perfect amount of chili. -Fried Fish with Lemongrass and Tamarind: Mindy’s choice was another "yum" moment. One Chun manages to deliver consistent, flavorful Thai cuisine, justifying its Bib Gourmand status and earning a repeat visit on our itinerary next time we return to Phuket.

Overall, an okay experience. Took a while to sit down but that is alright as we had a larger group of people. When we did get sat, we didn't get a waiter for a long time and had to get someone's attention to take our order. The food was honestly pretty good, but I think it made multiple people in our group's stomachs hurt after a couple hours. Place is super cute and vibey, I just wish the service was better and that the food didn't upset our stomachs.

Food court
Lock Tien, a local food center in Phuket Town, has been serving Peranakan and Hokkien favorites for over 50 years. The food court-style space resembles Singapore's hawker centers and Malaysia's kopitiam, with individual food carts offering various specialties. Visitors can enjoy dishes like mee leung pad Hokkien sai kai, por pia, and oh eaw shaved-ice dessert.
amazing authentic thai cuisine! we had to get a quick takeout before traveling and this was a perfect place. Very quick, super nice service and all the food was delicious! highly recommend if you’re looking for a more local experience

We had the food here, it's tasty! Ample of space to sit. I don't really remember what we had.. but I've posted pictures below. Basically, everything we ordered were nice! Reasonable price as well! It's located in the middle of Old Town Phuket. There were locals and tourists dining at this place. Just awesome!

This foodcourt price is absolutely low compared to others . This is not really a tourist place. Quite number of locals come and patronize. The food is good, good portion . Thai tea only 30baht. The service is good. Once u ordered , she will shouted to the respective stall for placing ordering. For those who like some local food yet not that crowded, this could be the right places.

Common food hall that you can find many of the local favourites. The deep fried pig offals takes the win for me. All the good little bits of pork from different parts of the piggies are very delicious. Especially the pig ear with a little chick of meat attached. Probably not for those that’s still taking introductory course to Asian cruising but certainly delicious 😉

Thai restaurant
The Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant in Phuket is located in a beautifully restored Sino-Portuguese mansion that was once the residence of a prominent Chinese merchant. The restaurant offers signature dishes found at all Blue Elephant locations, as well as an impressive selection of Peranakan cuisine, thanks to a collaboration with a Peranakan association and Rajabhat Phuket University.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Blue Elephant Restaurant. The ambience was elegant yet welcoming, and the food was simply outstanding—flavors that truly stood out and made the evening special. A special mention to our host, Pathomrat, who made our visit exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Pathomrat greeted us with warmth and ensured we felt comfortable throughout our meal. Their attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and genuine hospitality added so much to the overall experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food, beautiful surroundings, and service that makes you feel truly valued.

From the moment we arrived, everything at Blue Elephant Phuket was absolutely perfect. We were warmly welcomed with a beautifully presented welcome soup and cocktail, which set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our host Erwin was simply amazing attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Thai cuisine and hospitality. He made us feel right at home and guided us through each course with enthusiasm and grace. The presentation of every dish was stunning (the welcome plate was almost too beautiful to eat!), and the flavors were a perfect balance of tradition and creativity. The attention to detail from the elegant table settings to the fresh ingredients truly elevated the dining experience. If you’re visiting Phuket and want to experience authentic Thai fine dining with world-class service, Blue Elephant is an absolute must. Thank you to Erwin and the entire team for making our evening so memorable!

Absolutely love the food, the atmosphere and the people working here. Had the best time here with the best food. I got the Moo Hong and some beef satay skewers and a coconut flan dessert and each one was just incredible. I think the Moo Hong was the best braised pork that I've ever had. They also had these special rice burger bread that was just out of this world. I also had a couple people, Erwin and Jane, that were amazing and made my experience here extra memorable. I originally made a reservation at this restaurant with my husband as I wanted to surprise him with a special honeymoon lunch. But he got sick the day of and so I went to the restaurant myself to try their food as I'm a big foodie and heard great things about this restaurant. They helped me feel comfortable eating alone and even made me a special dessert that I could send pictures to my husband so that he can feel like he was here. I was very touched by their efforts. I would definitely come back to this location or their other location in Bangkok whenever I come visit Thailand from the U.S. again.

Outstanding food, service, and ambiance. Our servers were professional, courteous, very friendly. Server team led by Dream (thank you!) and a young lady whose name I forget (sorry). We also met chef Paul. Visiting for my birthday, the servers brought out a gorgeous platter of sorbets for me and sang happy birthday! Food - so many great options, and great for vegetarians. We had vegetarian spring rolls and fish cakes, followed by tiger prawn green curry and eggplant and tofu curry. We started with signature cocktails (passion fruit mojito and something with galangal and honey.

This was absolutely the best cooking class I’ve ever taken. It was thorough from ingredient procurement through the final eating enjoyment. Nickky was the best as an instructor and as an empathetic leader. All five preparations were outstanding. And, to help us with future attempts, we received the full recipes along with a high quality apron and certificate. We loved the whole experience.

Best meal we have had in a long time! We had the purple dumplings, lamb curry with roti, garlic prawns and chili grouper with jasmine rice. Even the herbal tea was unreal! Star and Jane were exceptional and the service was a 10! Even brought us something for our anniversary.

This may have been the crown jewel of my first visit to Thailand. A new friend insisted I take the cooking class and I'm so happy she did. It was a truly wonderful experience! This might have been the fanciest place I've been in my life, I can't believe I got to attend such an elite culinary learning experience. Beyond just learning to make the food, you get to try your instructors and then feast on your own creations in the magnificent dining room. I can't wait to take my new found knowledge back home and impress my friends. 💙🐘 Thank you so much Blue Elephant & Instructor Patty!!

I had a fantastic morning at the cookery school. My instructor Nipaporn PILATO นิภาพร พิลาโท (NICKKY) was awesome! It started with a very informative walk around the local markets where Nickky explained all of the ingredients and we purchased produce for cooking. Nickky also gave me some lovely smelling jasmine. We then headed back to the kitchen where we made 4 dishes. The information Nicky shared about the regional variations, traditions and cultures can only be found in a place like that. It’s not just about the cooking process for them which make it stand out. Being an enthusiastic cook and foodie it was great for them to share about the ingredients, base pastes etc so that I can apply the knowledge and also understand the makeup of many other Thai dishes. After the cooking session the dishes were served to my wife and I in the beautiful Blue Elephant restaurant I would highly recommend as it is one of the best cooking courses I have done.
