I recently visited the Aga Khan Palace in Pune, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable historical sites I’ve explored in the city. This palace is not just a beautiful monument but also an important part of India’s freedom movement. It’s the place where Mahatma Gandhi, his wife Kasturba Gandhi, and a few other freedom leaders were kept during the Quit India Movement in the early 1940s. Unfortunately, Kasturba Gandhi passed away here, and her Samadhi, along with a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi, stands peacefully within the premises. The palace itself is stunning — a blend of Italian arches, long corridors, and wide verandas that give it a royal yet serene feel. Inside, there are several rooms showcasing preserved furniture, photographs, personal belongings of Gandhi ji and Kasturba ji, and even letters and historical documents. It gives you a deep sense of how significant this place was during that time. The surrounding gardens are absolutely beautiful — lush green, well-maintained, and ideal for a calm walk or quiet reflection. The weather was cloudy when I visited, which made it even more picturesque. I managed to capture some great photos of the palace, the gardens, and the memorials — every corner of this place has something worth clicking. The entry process was smooth and modern — you just scan a QR code at the entrance and pay ₹20 online, which is very convenient. I completed the tour in about 45–50 minutes, but if you’re visiting with family or want to relax amidst greenery, you can easily spend over an hour here. There are also benches and shaded areas where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, I’d give the Aga Khan Palace 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a perfect mix of history, beauty, and tranquility. A must-visit for anyone interested in India’s past or simply looking for a calm, scenic spot in Pune.

This place is a Historic Monument which is recognized and controlled by ASI - Archaeological Survey of India. You get a lot of parking space.. You have to scan the QR Code at the booking counters. Fill your information in the form and pay Rs. 20/- online. You get the E-Ticket instantly. Download it and show it to the security. They scan the QR in it and let you go. For Foreigners, ticket is Rs. 250/- only. Old ticket rates on counter boards have been changed. Just fill your passport no., Nationality and other basic details. Get the E-Ticket, show and get in.. The palace property is extremely massive. You start from the Gandhi Muesum from Gallery No. 1. Many lifelike statues of Gandhiji have been kept in some galleries. You get to read the struggle for freedom and its stories on the big boards with images too. Audio listening option is also available. There are 5 Galleries on the ground floor itself. All things are mentioned on the boards. Some artifacts are also kept for display.. You get drinking water, toilets, canteen too. Samadhi Sthal is also very quiet and peaceful.. Property and surrounding is full of trees, bushes, flowers, fountains, etc. You can relax in the lawn in the garden around the palace too.. Its a must visit if you want to know the struggle of freedom and what these people faced at that time.. Read all boards carefully. Then you will understand everything. You can go solo too.. My visit to Aga Khan Palace was absolutely 10/10 🌟! The palace is stunning — its architecture, cleanliness, and calm surroundings make it a must-visit spot in Pune. There was a small issue while buying tickets on-site 🎟️, but otherwise, parking was fine 🚗, and the garden areas are beautiful 🌿🌸, perfect for relaxing after exploring the palace. Shaniwar Wada has a unique charm and is one of the most popular heritage sites in Pune. Entry ticket is ₹20, and online booking is compulsory. For accessing the upper floor, there are only two options: one right beside the main entrance and another directly opposite, which is a bit far. The room above the main entrance has a distinct and unforgettable appearance — it still seems to hold a soul from the past. The peripheral boundary allows you to walk around and enjoy a scenic view of Shaniwar Wada, making it a memorable experience for history and architecture enthusiasts.

Shaniwar Wada is a historical place. Whenever I think of Shaniwar Wada, I am reminded of Bajirao Peshwa. I can only imagine the grandeur this fort must have had in those times. Even today, this stone structure feels like it has something to say. You must definitely visit this fort. It is extremely beautiful and well maintained. Its history still stands tall with pride.

Shaniwarwada in Pune is a magnificent historical fort that beautifully showcases the grandeur of the Maratha Empire. Built in the 18th century, it stands as a symbol of Pune’s royal heritage. Visiting Shaniwarwada was a fascinating experience! As soon as I entered through the massive Delhi Gate, I could feel the history and grandeur of the Maratha era.Overall, it was a memorable and enriching visit that connected me deeply with Pune’s rich heritage.

This is a historical place located at Mid Pune. It is beside Lal Mahal and Dagduseth Ganpati Temple. Shaniwar Wada was built by Peshwa's. The surrounding is good. Now only the remains of this place is left. It was also excavated by Archaelogical Survey of India (ASI).

Visited this place on 16 Nov 2025. Timing is 9am to 5:30pm. It is well connected by road. But many near by roads are one way only. You have to buy ticket for this place, for adult 20₹/person is the price. You can buy ticket online, you can search on google. There is free parking available for two and four wheelers, since it’s a very much crowded place and heavy traffic. Place is very good and has the historical importance. But not maintained at all by the authorities.

My weekend gate-away, still in the heart of the city and not too far from wherever you live in Pune. This place is full of history, divinity and culture. The museum has its history stored neatly, the temples are still gorgeous, trees shower you with seasonal flowers and the beautiful view from above makes every step you climbed up, worth it. There is so much in this small hill that one can never guess. But great for morning walks/small climbs and some oxygen away from the crowd. It’ll still be crowded on weekends. We all love this place and will keep coming here till our knees give up❤️

Parvathi Hill in Pune offers a serene escape from the city's chaos. Entry is free. Street parking is available. The hill isn't difficult to climb, and the scenic views from the top are awesome. I visited on a weekend, and surprisingly, the crowd was manageable. The climb is a great way to stay active while enjoying nature's beauty. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, a spiritual experience, or a quick workout, this hill has something to offer.

Location is great there is also a museum next to temple, also there is a shop on the hill top you can have tea and some snacks. Place maintenance is little poor. Note: there is no car parking, so you will have to park your car on the road then climb up.

This is one of my most favourite places in Pune! This hill houses two temples and is also the resting place of one of the Bajirao family members. The walk up isn't very easy as there are 100+ steps but the beautiful temple and the views around will simply take your heart away. There is a small cafe up there but nothing great. The sun temple has another floor that you can climb for 20 Rs. The place also has a museum that has loads of old artifacts and Mughal coins to look at. You can't click pics of the museum but I'm sure there's lots to absorb being up there This hill is one of the highest points of Pune. A must visit to all Punekars and non Punekars !

I went with my brother and my friend for an evening stroll after having our daily 5pm coffee. We didn't expect it to turn out this good, we were planning to visit some other place but unfortunately (fortunately tbh) the entry was closed and we thought "let's give parvati hills a shot". Like they say unexpected journeys reveal the best destinations, it was true. If you're going, go after 5pm. You can see the cotton candy skies or autumn fire skies if it's not cloudy or rainy. But night view remains the same. It's mesmerizing. You wouldn't want to blink when you're adoring the view. You'll feel like you're in a movie(major la la land vibes or perks of being a wallflower vibes). Then you'll think "almost forgot that this was the whole point".

Parvati Hill is a beautiful blend of tranquility, history, and nature. It is one of the highest points in Pune, offering a spectacular view of the entire city. The sunsets here are truly a sight to behold. This hill is home to several ancient temples and a museum showcasing artifacts from the Peshwa era. The climb up the hill is made easy by a set of well-maintained stairs and isn't too difficult. Parvati Hill is a popular spot, especially in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends, despite the crowds, the atmosphere remains peaceful and serene. There is no entry fee to climb the hill, and parking is also available. it's a perfect spot to spend a peaceful and memorable time with family.

A very good place for trekking and having a scenic view of the city from the top. There are two temples up above the hill which are quite unique and resembles historic things. Also there is a museum in which entree fees is Rs 20.

This museum is located in the most unexpected part of Pune; in the middle of a market. It is worth a visit. The ticket chargers are 120rs per adult, and 50rs per child. Mobile photos have extra charges of 100rs. They have Indian artefacts, mostly from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu etc. One must follow the direct on the walls, otherwise it is easy to miss the Mastani Mahal. The vibe is calm, and peaceful. If you are an interested in ancient Indian culture and history, this is a must visit.

It is privately managed so a bit ticket price is higher side. Even for taking photos from mobile there is seperate ticket. But 100% value for money in terms of knowledge, experience what you get once you visit there. So many things you will find you haven't heard or explored before. Also hard to keep them in same condition so good collection of old age things. If you are in Pune, you must visit once for sure there. 1-3 hrs can take. Parking might be an issue we came here by using rickshaw as we travelled by it in Pune to visit different places. It was very convenient. This museum collection is very big, as I remember it has 3 floors. Located in Shukrawar Peth, Bajirao road which is @ 4km from Pune Station. We have visited this place after our visit to Okayama Friendship Garden. From there also it is situated at a distance of 4km. Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum contains the collections of Dr. Dinkar G Kelkar, dedicated to the memory of his only son Raja who died at the age of seven. This museum is displayed in three store building in two different wings called as Wing A & Wing B. In Wing A, the ground floor had objects of beauty and culture. The first floor contains utensils used in olden days. The second floor inhabited the textile Gallery. The third floor has special exhibition with mixed items. In B wing, the Ivory gallery is on the ground floor. The first floor has musical instruments and decor from famous Mastani Mahal. The second floor has the lamps gallery. Interesting Facts about Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum: 1. Kelkar Museum welcomes tourists with a huge decorative door, locally known as Dindi Darwaja. A number of small intricately curved windows and an open courtyard at the center give a feel of a characteristic Marathi atmosphere. Don't miss to see the same as most of the people rush inside without seeing such beautiful Dindi Darwaja. 2. This Museum is started in 1962. Collection started in the year 1920, and by 1984 total 15,000 objects were collected. Today total collection reached up to 22,000 objects. The Museum was initially named as Raja Sangraha, later as Raha Kelkar Historical Collections and finally named as Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum. 3. Dinkar Kelkar Ji Spent 60 years of his life travelling across India including remote places to collect and purchase rare and relic objects. Dr. Kelkar donated this museum to Maharashtra government in 1975. 4. Major attraction of this museum is the Mastani Mahal. Dr. Kelkar with the help of technicians dismantled a section of Mastani Mahal that was lying abandoned in the forests of Kothrud and shifted it to present location of the Museum. 5. Today total collection of Museum reached up to 22,000 objects, but due to space constraints 85% of the objects are not displayed and remain in shadows. The zoo is huge and well laid out, but when we visited, many animals were hiding from sight. I also noticed that the elephants were kept in chains, which was a bit upsetting. I chose to take the electric vehicle to explore the park — and that turned out to be the best decision! Many people walking were visibly tired, some even carrying their shoes or resting on benches. The electric car made the visit much more comfortable. You can easily find the ticket counter for it on the right-hand side near the entrance. Some cages near the lake area were empty, and the lake itself seemed dried up, possibly due to weather conditions. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable visit, but a few improvements could make it even better.

Good place to visit with friends and family. Avoid weekend visit because too much people come here to see zoo. Bring some snacks to eat because the zoo is too big. If you want to explore all zoo area then you need atleast 3 hour to see lion elephants tiger snake ect..

Have visited this zoo 4 times. Good to spend time with family and kids while enjoying the nature. Good arrangement of drinking water, sheds to seat while going round the zoo, clean washrooms, electric buses available for people at rate of 40Rs per person. Food items are allowed inside. Due to not so great maintainance this time the birds section only had peacock. The other nearby enclosures are not even cleaned. No new animals are added in recent years.

I recently visited Rajiv Gandhi Zoo, Katraj, and it was a wonderful experience. The entire area is spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The enclosures for the animals are well managed, and I especially enjoyed seeing the white tiger, leopard, and the snake park. The zoo has clear information boards, proper directions, and plenty of places to rest. It’s a perfect place to spend quality time with family, friends, or kids. The entry process is smooth, the staff is polite, and the cleanliness is impressive. Overall, a must-visit spot in Pune🥰

Also, if you don't exercise (like me) and are thinking of exploring the zoo on foot, please apply for leave for Monday (or the next day) in advance, because you will definitely feel the meaning of pain! 😅😂 Overall, the zoo experience was awesome. Positives: 1. In a city like Pune, can be a decent half day break especially with kids Negatives: 1. Small. More like a garden than a proper zoo. Very few varieties of animals. 2. Maintanence can be better. It's not in shambles, yet not in a great shape. Signboards can be better, professional cleanliness can be there, there can be more foliage. It feels like a leglected private garden with some animal enclosures, and not a city zoo. Bottomline: don't expect it to be at par with some better zoos in other cities, like in: Kolkata Alipore zoo, Mysore zoo etc Suggestion: 1. On weekends, it's crowded 2. With kids, always prefer those battery operated vehicles. If you don't reach before 9am, expect long queue for that on weekends. 3. Avoid the Peacock Enclosure. It's a joke. 4. Carry water bottle with you 5. Book the main entry ticket online in advance, save time from the queue there 6. Animal sighting depends on your luck and timing

Paid ₹1200 for fish curry and rice, which felt exorbitant for the portion. The fish was very fresh, and the curry was oil-free and tasty, but the price stung. Also ordered coffee flan and banana toffee pudding for dessert—both were extraordinary. Forgot to reserve seats in advance, missed 20% deal. Only got a 10% discount via Swiggy, which didn’t help much. Good food, but overpriced for the experience.

Food was wow ... specially the fish starter that I ordered. I could have eaten only the starter it was that yummy. The second round of steamed rice that I ordered had no salt in it, leading to complete disappointment. The chocolate browny with ice cream was as it is everywhere. We ordered mutton curry and it's taste was to the point. The ambience was good, romantic, perfect for couples and small family dinning. I dont know but whey nowadays all such restaurants have dim lighting. People could take a lot of pictures if there would be some better lighting system. Overall it was a decent experience, but a costlier one. For 3 people, we spend Rs 4000. For me, it was an expensive experience. I spent the same amount and had better dinning experience at Westin, Koregaon Park.

I had the most lovely dinner at Malaka Spice. I was dining alone and the staff took such great care of me. They were warm & friendly, especially my waitor, Amir. The food was great, I ordered the Thai Curry. Music was GREAT, and the ambience was perfect for a date night or time with family/loved ones. The cherry on top was that they gave me a complimentary yummy starter on the house. Highly recommend for an elegant and beautiful experience. Thank you!

I had heard a lot about this place and atlast I got the opportunity to visit this outlet. It beautifully decorated inside and outside. Big space and love their Playlist. The staffs are cordial and give good recommendations. We had ordered - prawns nazi goreng - yumm - honey chicken - loved it - raw papaya salad- refreshing and delicious Starfruit drink and jamun drunks which was seasonal and we loved it. Great experience here.

Laid-back Thai food restaurant with variety of authentic Thai dishes, our Sunday evening meal was fulfilling, to say the least. Ambiance, service, food - all were excellent. Two-some and 4-some dining tables were well spaced out the ambiance was pleasing. Service was excellent and it would be amiss not to complement Anshuli for looking after us in her inimitable pleasant and ever helpful manner. As an aside, 10% service charge was billed and we didn't mind it.

Part of Hyatt Place near Agakhan palace. It is supposed to be fine dining however the seating and ambience is very causal. They need to have proper seating arrangement. The food quantity is ok however, food is delicious. If you are looking to share a dish max it can be between two people as the portion overall is bit small. Overall, good experience.

One of the finest Asian restaurant in pune. Amazing service, delicious food and great staff. I went there for dinner with my wife on her birthday. And they made it memorable with their gesture and service. The coordinator Ms Ananya helped us a lot and made our day memorable. We had so many Asian dishes and out of all, Sushi was the best. Dumplings and Khao Suey was delicious too. Overall it was our best experience and we would visit soon. 2nd visit : Went for the Brunch buffet. And again not disappointed. They have so many options in main course and desserts. It was a worth going. Prawn Sushi was delicious and chicken Sushi was ok. Service was good . Not to mention Sangaria tasted awesome however not too alcoholic.

So we had done a booking through Zomato GOLD. We reached at 8pm. They made us wait 10min to give us a table. After ordering they took 30min to get us the drinks and appetizers. there were 3 people serving 10 or 12 tables. Food portions are super small. 100 to 150gms servings at the most. Maybe they did this coz it was a discounted booking through Zomato but I'm not sure. Food taste very average. the street vendor would make.more delicious food. And food is expensive compared to the other 5 stars and portions served. We ordered Margarita which was not upto the mark for a 5star. It was bitter. Service was very very bad. Also not at all value for money. there was a section reserved for a birthday party. it was very noisy. not a fine dine experience at all. Don't go to this place. Go if u want to spoil your evening. Or if You want to entertain your enemies there.

We had an amazing experience at Bantao last night. The ambience was mesmerizing. The delicacies served were authentic delicious and very presentable. The staff was prompt and courteous. The Chef was very approachable and open for feedback and suggestions. We would certainly be going back.

We recently visited Elephant & Co. in Kalyani Nagar and while the food was genuinely good — flavourful and well-presented — the service left much to be desired. After finishing our lunch, the waiter promptly brought us the bill. We specifically requested that the service charge be removed, and he agreed without hesitation. However, he immediately scanned the original bill (with the service charge still included), and my partner paid, assuming the amount had been updated as per our request. When we realized the total still included the service charge, we called the waiter back. His response — claiming he “didn’t hear us” — was clearly dishonest, considering he had acknowledged our request just moments earlier. It was a disappointing end to what could have been a great experience. While the food is worth trying, the integrity and attentiveness of the service staff definitely need improvement.

The food is delicious. Having been a regular TOIT visitor, I was taken for a surprise for the food served here . Had juicy buff burger and shawarma plate. The portions were nice and can get you full. The best part was the salads served with the dishes. Very fresh and minty. TAP Beer also was far better than TOIT. Slightly expensive but maybe worth it.

We tried sushi for the first time along with Chicken Katsu Bao Buns, and both were absolutely delicious. The staff was exceptional! Since we were new to Japanese food, they patiently explained everything to us, including how to use chopsticks properly. Their warm and detailed guidance made our experience even more enjoyable. The ambience was lovely, creating a perfect dining atmosphere. Plus, since it's located in a mall, parking was hassle-free. Overall, a fantastic experience—5/5 for taste, service, and ambience. Started with a mouth refreshing Thai Tai ..it's fizzy tippsy . Then the manager (Dattu ji..) recommended 2 more amazing dish Prawn Sushi and Chicken dimsums..it can't be more authentic. Meanwhile chef Suresh came out ...such a humble person...and I can verywell go on with his culinary skills...love it guys.

Nice for some conversation over some Ramen, Sushi and Kimchi Soup. If you are fond of Korean, Japanese food then this should be on your list. Another nice restaurant is YouMee which are very much fond of. Yiu can always check Swiggy Dineout or Zomato for any discounts they might be running. Afterall money saved is money earned.
