1000/10. Best winery I have genuinely EVER been to. Every time they said a different note or smell or taste in the wine, you could taste it very prominently. The owner was absolutely fantastic and gave so many details about the grapes and different wines. You could really tell they cared about the product they were selling and the experience you had. The property was fantastic, I felt like I was in a European Villa. Atmosphere, customer service, wine all 1000/10. The only way to get this wine is to get it shipped from them or to go to the winery directly. I highly recommend stocking up. Do yourself a favor and come here!

Our absolute favorite winery! We always end up buying a full case for ourselves and another for friends — and then keep ordering online, because their wines are the only thing that make those long Saskatchewan winters survivable (honestly, they should be prescribed for it!). Every wine is a gem: the unforgettable Sage white, their exquisite dessert wines, and the excellent dry reds that are impossible to resist. Tastings are free and include everything, so you really get to explore their whole range. Anna and her sister are true enthusiasts who know their craft inside out — warm, welcoming, and full of passion for what they do. Every visit feels special, and you will definitely not leave empty-handed. We absolutely adore this place!

This place was such a cool and unique experience! The wines were really different and we loved it. From the moment we got there, everything was great—the rose gardens and statues were beautiful. Our hostess was awesome and made it a really fun time. Definitely worth a visit!

This winery is the bar every other winery should aspire to. The owner was both entertaining and extremely informative. She is so passionate about her wines! Obviously she is adventurous in her different combinations for her wines. Hands down, the best wines anywhere. Thank you for a fun tasting.

My boyfriend’s family and I had such a wonderful experience here. We went for a tasting, as we found out they have a special selection of wines, specifically fortified wines. John was extremely knowledgeable and had such a great sense of humor. He had us laughing and really enjoying our time there. We were so impressed with the wide selection of dessert wines. Every single one was delicious, and had unique properties, and reflected high standards for their production process. We won’t share how many we purchased ;) They definitely have our business! It was so nice to sit on the bench outside, take in the view, and enjoy the sounds of the water. Thank you John! We will be back!

We stumbled upon this lovely winery for a spontaneous tasting and had no idea what a treat we were in for. The wines were exceptional — beautifully balanced and full of character — but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the owner. Knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely entertaining, they brought warmth and wit to every pour. It was the perfect ending to an already great weekend.

Silver Sage is absolutely a standout winery! The stunning grounds- with beautiful roses and a tranquil pond- create a breathtaking setting. We enjoyed a generous tasting of 13 fruit-forward wines with no fee, guided by a witty and knowledgeable server who kept us laughing throughout. Honestly, I could have taken home a bottle of every wine…. they were all that good! We ended up buying four bottles. Don’t miss this gem- hands down our favourite winery in Osoyoos!

Love this place! 💛 The team is super friendly and professional, and everything runs so smoothly. Their wines are absolutely delicious — the Pinot Blanc is light and crisp, like taking a bite of a white nectarine 🍑, and the Gewürztraminer with sage is so unique and aromatic. Definitely one of my favorite wineries in the Okanagan! 🍷

Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, located in Southern Okanagan, offers a range of country-style rooms and a lavish suite for guests who seek an intimate and luxurious experience. The winery serves delectable culinary feasts at their on-site restaurant called The Sonora Room. Guests can relish the incredible wines including the popular port-style wine Coruja and Merlot which is highly regarded among visitors.
DJ was extremely friendly and kept the energy so high!! Also absolutely FAVOURITE wine tasting in the winery strip — very affordable tasting price for a lot of tries and all proceeds are donated to charity. A beautiful winery to support filled with such sweet people <3

My husband and I had a wonderful time during our recent visit to the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. What a fabulous experience! Our wine tasting with Vanessa was the highlight of our trip there. She struck the perfect balance between being incredibly informative and keeping us entertained. Vanessa had us laughing and learning throughout the session. The personalized attention and thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences really stood out. We ended up purchasing a dozen of a variety of wines that we enjoyed during our tasting. We cannot recommend this experience enough and will definitely be back to this fabulous winery

We had the most amazing wine tasting experience today with Ms. Victoria. Her colourful witt and knowledge of each wine presented to us was delightfully executed with her impressive ability to connect each wine as being one of her best friends. Management should be proud to have Ms. Victoria as being an incredible asset and the face representing your most high end and prestigious company! Worth every mile driven from Vancouver and thanks to Ms.Victoria we purchased a case and a half of newly discovered and old favourites of wine.

We went to Burrowing Owl for a tasting, and we were fortunate enough to be placed with Dave. Dave was wonderful. We had our tasting along with another really lovely couple and had a wonderful time. Weve always loved the wines from Burrowing Owl so it was a pleasure to visit their location, and we tasted some really great wines that were not available in our local area. We ended up purchasing a box of 12 and look forward to drinking them when we get home!

Went to the restaurant for lunch on June 1. Seated behind us was an elderly gentleman with a younger man, possibly his son, in his 40s perhaps. They seemed like a nice duo and were having a quiet conversation while having lunch. The elderly gentleman accidentally tipped his wine glass over spilling most of his red wine on the table, the floor and his feet. Though staff were helpful with the clean up, their server almost sounded condescending when the younger gentleman asked if it would be possible to get the glass topped up. I don’t remember her exact wording, but she informed them that they were welcome to purchase a new glass of wine. I understand businesses need to make a profit, however, if the winery is able to waive a wine tasting fee when one purchases a bottle at the wine shop, I was shocked that they couldn’t top up this man’s glass. I asked the men if I had possibly misheard her, but they confirmed my initial interpretation. When they got their bill, which was well over $200, they were still charged for the spilled glass. We were happy to hear that the men did not add a tip as a result. Though our meal was delicious, having seen and heard this interaction put an extremely bad taste in our mouths and a damper on our experience at the restaurant. We added a minimal tip to our bill as a result and we will not be returning.

I have never had the pleasure of visiting Burrowing Owl myself, but my husband did while visiting our son living in Oliver. We have been enjoying their wines ever since. We have it delivered to our door almost yearly. Our friends from Vancouver Island, Denmark & family in Germany have enjoyed it. It is extremely inexpensive to ship it to our home, since our liquor stores get very little Burrowing Owl & if so, it is snapped up within days! We will continue to share & savour this fantastic wine! I just ordered 6 bottles on the 25th and received it today (the 30th)...great service! I hope to visit one day soon!

If going for a tasting experience, I would skip. The tasting room is small with nowhere to sit. The staff inside the tasting room are super friendly and helpful. I briefly went into the restaurant to check if they do seated tastings, unfortunately I was ignored for a while and was eventually greeted in an unfriendly manner. I would recommend putting up some clear signs to say tastings are not done in the restaurant so people don't have to ask.

This is the most beautiful escape - but only if you are seeking a place to unwind, be surrounded by vineyards, access to good wine, delicious food and very kind and heartwarming people. Highly recommend - we’ve stayed all seasons over a few years. Rooms are luxurious, bed is lovely, fridge & coffee in room, bathrooms are stunning, pool is 25m. Sitting on your patio with local wine, watching the sunset (with some charcuterie from the resto) is spectacular. Note- there are only a few cabs in this town, no Uber so if you are wine tasting use a company, or if you plan to eat & drink elsewhere, planning is required. No children in the guesthouse or pool (for obvious reasons).

Tinhorn Creek Vineyards is a must-see winery located in the scenic Golden Mile Bench. Before opening their Miradoro Restaurant, visitors could already enjoy their wine tours. The vineyard features the beautiful Golden Mile Trail with stunning valley views that are perfect for a morning hike. Their food is incredible and guests can also indulge in a wine tasting experience with knowledgeable staff who provide great information and service.
My friends and I sat on the balcony for a wine tasting and it was so amazing! All the wines were amazing and our server Pamela was the best! Will for sure be going back!

If you're making a wine tour stop in Oliver, Tinhorn Vineyards needs to be at the absolute top of your list. This place is a solid five stars, and for good reason! First off, let's talk about the setting. The breathtaking views of the valley from their spot are just incredible. You could honestly spend hours just soaking it all in with a glass in hand. It's truly picturesque and adds so much to the whole experience. Then there's the wine itself – absolutely delicious wine, of course! They have a fantastic selection, and every sip was a pleasure. You can tell a lot of care goes into their production. And finally, the staff. They are truly *knowledgeable. You can ask them anything about the wines, the grapes, the region, and they're happy to share their expertise. They make the tasting experience informative and genuinely enjoyable without being pretentious. They offer the perfect trifecta: stunning scenery, fantastic wine, and wonderful people to guide you through it. It's an essential stop for any wine lover in Oliver!

The vineyard is absolutely beautiful...which is why we went back that evening for dinner. We started out very impressed. We were greeted by the most friendly gentleman, he was both professional and welcoming. We both commented what a nice person he was when we sat down at our table. From there our experience went downhill unfortunately. Our servers name was Sam and she could not have been more disinterested... there was no personalized service explaining any of the wines or entrees, she kept running from the table with comments like " I'll be back". It appeared a couple came in that she knew personally and she spent time visiting with them while we were waiting to be attended to. If it had not been for the pleasant busboy clearing dishes and bringing out our water, wine and food we would have been sitting a lengthy amount of time in between. Very disappointed... our experience and evening ended with us having to ask for our bill and then had to ask another hostess for the machine to pay the bill. Not the experience we expected considering we had been to the Burrowing Owl and Hester Creek Vineyards and were treated with such gracious staff. We do visit Osoyoos often and we will definitely try the restaurant again. Hopefully we have better service next time. Customers spend a lot of money when they go to these type establishments ...service is a large part of the experience. Thanks to the rest of the staff and wonderful food we do recommend trying this restaurant...grounds are stunning!! 🍷🍷🍷

We've been to a zillion wineries over the last 40 years, and I'm not even exaggerating that this is the best we ever went to. We had a terrific time from when we stepped through the door, to our tastings, to our wonderful meal at their restaurant. Betty Ann was terrific helping us with our tastings. We sat outside and enjoyed a very casual environment and terrific view as we were allowed to take our time and savour each selection of three wines each. When we were done, we went to the restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful pizza, possibly the best Marguerita pizza we've ever had. This is a compliment since we've eaten pizza in Italy and this was easily just as good. The tomato sauce, the crust, and the mozzarella were incredibly flavorful. Not to mention the views were absolutely astounding. Jamie was our server and he was incredible, great guy, lots of fun. This was one of the best days of our entire 2-week road trip through BC. Thanks to everybody at this location and the staff for making us a really wonderful wine tasting and meal. We bought a full box of wine to show our appreciation!

Went for the science of stemware tasting. It was wonderful. Very informative and absolutely crazy how the right glass for the wine can make it taste so much better. Thank you for turning me into a true wine snob now!!!

We had an outstanding experience at Tin Horn during a recent wine tasting, thanks largely to our server Pamela, whose warm, welcoming demeanor set a relaxed tone from the moment she greeted us. She paired solid knowledge with approachable explanations, and her enthusiasm was contagious; you could tell she genuinely cared that we left happy and informed, making the visit memorable and highly recommendable.

The building was beautiful, from outside and inside. Did not spend too much time inside the main building as the lady who approached us quickly suggested my wife and I to go for lunch at the adjacent building. Nice suggestion but we were kind of hoping for some wine tasting and walk around in the property before eating something. That gave the impression she did not want to spend time with us, maybe? Anyways, we went to the restaurant. A male server (sorry, won't be able to remember his name) assisted us with a corner patio table facing all the vineyards around, great service and great wine suggestions. This was June 2025.

We were very excited to visit Tinhorn Creek and it did not disappoint. The views on the patio were wonderful and the variety of wines we were able to taste offered a lovely experience for all. I highly recommend making a reservation for the wine tasting and booking a premium tasting is best. Our group was very pleased and left with many bottles at the end of our experience. Thank you Jesse for taking care of us!

Black Hills Estate Winery is a renowned blending house that meticulously tends to their fruit by hand, from pruning to picking. The winery's national brand manager, Morna Cassidy, has indicated that the 2019 Nota Bene vintage and the 2020 whites and rose are the first full vintages tended to from bud burst to bottle by winemaker Ross Wise. Black Hills Estate Winery specializes in quality blends and offers a great selection of breads, meats, and cheeses for visitors.
Wow. Had booked a tasting on some recommendations. The wine did not disappoint. Firstly the location is stunning. Nice indoor and outdoor tasting area. The wines just took it to another level. Tried a “few” and really not a bad one from the whites to the reds. Some super interesting varieties and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Ended up order a case to be shipped home. Would highly recommend a tasting.

This winery is truly top-tier! My wife and I recently brought some family and a friend for a wine tasting experience, and it was absolutely outstanding. Lisa, our host, was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and the unique blends that Black Hills crafts so well. She curated a thoughtful and engaging experience for us, including side-by-side comparisons that beautifully showcased the nuances between vintage years and varietals. It was both educational and delicious! We highly recommend booking an appointment for a seated tasting experience rather than just dropping in for a stand-up tasting — it’s well worth it, and you won’t regret it. Our friend enjoyed it so much that she became a wine club member on the spot!

I had a wonderful experience yesterday at the Black Hills Winery in Oliver. What a beautiful setting! We sat on the patio next to the soothing sounds of water flowing into a sparkling blue pool. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful. The wine tasting offered a variety of red and white wines and each one was excellent. I’m usually a red wine drinker but the selection of white wines offered was surprisingly delicious! Every one! My friend and I shared a variety of tapas. Each choice was fresh, delicious, and attractively presented. One of the things that most impressed me was the professionalism, knowledge and kindness of the staff! Our server was Katharine and she was so gracious and personable! Highly recommend it! Will be back!

We spent the weekend touring wineries in Oliver and Black Hills was the best experience we had! The team was wonderful, presented each wine beautifully and we were all very impressed with the wine overall. The patio was very enjoyable and it was a perfect experience. We cannot wait to go back! - Our only regret, not buying MORE wine!

Val was absolutely amazing today. We came in with a group of 5 and she was a delight. Catered to everyone in our group, offered excellent suggestions, was so fun to talk to. I would come back just to see her but we all bought bottles and had a fantastic time.

Great wine tasting experiences at Black Hills winery! We attended in August and on Thanksgiving weekend. Our experiences were exceptional, not only the wine but also our wine hosts. Katharine and Elke were excellent! Their knowledge of the wine along with their care and attention made for two memorable visits. Would recommend visiting this winery if you haven't already ...AND..if you have, do it again!

What a wonderful experience! We popped by on a whim, as the winery looked nice, and we were blown away by the service and personal touches during the wine tasting. All the staff and managers were very knowledgeable and attentive. Not to mention, the wines were incredible. In fact, the service was so outstanding that even if the wines hadn’t been amazing, we still would’ve been impressed. We became wine club members on the spot and can’t wait to come back again ASAP. If you haven’t added Black Hills to your list of stops, it’s a must!

Hester Creek Estate Winery is a historic winery located in southern Okanagan that should be on everyone's must-visit list. Not only are their wines highly regarded and popular among many, but their restaurant Terrafina is also a standout feature. The winery offers excellent service, breathtaking views and an overall amazing experience. Visitors can enjoy a wine tasting, purchase bottles of wine and even have picnic lunches on the beautiful patio.
My husband and I toured the area and stayed at the villa for one night. Upon arrival, Melissa greeted us and showed us the room as well as how to use the satellite TV. She left us with our choice of wine. The room was very quiet and the views of the valley were beautiful. There was an electric fireplace in the room and the beds were very soft and the pillows were the best. The rooms were updated recently, and the radiant flooring in the bathroom was great. In the morning, we were given a delicious homemade breakfast of eggs and fresh fruit and potato chunks and delicious coffee. Would definitely go again.

We came here as reccomended by several other wineries so our expectations were raised, but the tasting itself fell short. Maybe it's because the tasting was complimentary, but the experienced felt very detached and rushed, as if he was waiting for us to quickly finish each sip so we could move on. We ended up buying some bottles so we definitely enjoyed the wine! Just not so much the tasting experience. They have a beautiful space outside where you can sit, sip, and enjoy a boardgame or two.

We had a reservation at another winery and found them to be closed on arrival. Upon deciding to reroute to Hester Creek, we told them of our situation and they found time to fit us into a private tasting in their Garland room. The hospitality, professionalism and knowledge of the team was absolutely stellar. Shoutout to Susan for being a legendary host. The wines here are fantastic, there is something for everyone. I personally always come back for the Judge and Garland.

Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek is a seasonal vineyard spot that offers breathtaking panoramic views and serves Mediterranean plates made with fresh local ingredients. Located on the Golden Mile, this winery boasts a spacious patio overlooking the valley and Black Sage Bench. The restaurant is renowned for its refined Italian cuisine, which highlights produce sourced from nearby farmers. Customers rave about the exceptional customer service provided by the staff, who are knowledgeable about both food and wine.
An excellent experience in and out. The location on a hill provides views. Ample parking and easy to find. The food tastes amazing and comes in generous portions. Even the basic kids pasta tasted of fresh butter. The staff were very warm and hospitable. it felt like they loved their jobs as everyone we saw had a smile on their face and it only added to the ambience which is amazing due to the nice spacious seating plan that affords views from each table. We went in expecting only the views but came out thoroughly impressed. It’s a must visit in the normally mundane Oosoyoos area. Our host Jamie was amazing and provided great suggestions and went above and beyond. We will be back soon.

After being quickly turned away at two other wineries for lunch (when they were not even close to full), we were warmly greeting promptly by Manager Elizabeth and she was able to accommodate our party across two tables on the patio. Elizabeth, Server Alexa and team took exceptional care of us - sharing information on the menu and wines, and making us feel VERY welcome, even though we were a last minute reservation. We started with cocktails, bubbles and delicious appetizers, followed by a delicious bottle of reserve Cabernet Franc from Tinhorn, pizzas, pastas and the pork chop. We ended with the chocolate budino, tiramisu and affagotos. Thank you to your team for the excellent service and food, and not quickly "dismissing" our large party as happened at other close by places. We will be very happy to recommend your restaurant and winery to others visiting the area!

Generous portions in a beautiful setting and the food was good. The pizza was the highlight. The one bummer was that bottles of wine to drink was at a restaurant price, rather than the winery bottle price. And also sadly no EV charging opportunities on the entire property.

The food has improved from my last visit but still needs work. Mushroom pasta was over seasoned and needed more mushrooms. Bolognese was heavy on the nutmeg which reminded me more of greek pasticio. Salmon was good great but needed more seasoning. Gelato and sorbet very good. Service was nice and the view never fails to impress.

Mirado is a fantastic spot, and in my opinion, one of the best places to eat in Oliver. The patio is brilliant, with beautiful views, so definitely try to sit outside if you can. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and despite the place being busy when we went, the food came out surprisingly quickly. I ordered the spicy pizza, which I’d say is the best pizza on the menu. The flavour was excellent, and while I usually enjoy eating the crust, I did find it a bit too chewy at this place. That said, the pizza overall was very good, and the experience more than made up for it. If you’re in Oliver, Mirado is well worth a visit, great atmosphere, good food, and an unbeatable setting.

We had a remarkable experience at Hester Creek Winery, starting with a captivating wine tasting and estate tour. The winery's location is among the most stunning we have ever seen. Our visit began with a warm welcome from an exceptional wine host who guided us through the entire wine making process. We concluded our tour with a delightful sampling of their finest wines in a charming tasting room. The wines were superb, and our host ensured that the experience was memorable and engaging.
We had an absolutely incredible dinner on the patio to celebrate my brother-in-law’s birthday. We started with the focaccia and the lemon herb butter (thyme and parsley). My sister-in-law had the fettuccine with braised beef, tomato sauce, heirloom carrots, fried egg and crispy potato. The birthday boy enjoyed the fish of the day with local potato, blistered tomato, pancetta braised, scallion, and smoked tomato broth with crispy breadcrumbs and green oil. My partner and I split the Potato Truffle Pizza with thinly sliced potato, garlic oil, mozzarella, parmesan, chili flakes, truffle aioli, arugula and the spring pea risotto. We had asked for the chilli flakes to be served on the side, but the kitchen neglected to do so. Fortunately, my partner who is not crazy about spicy, did not mind them. The pizza was much larger than we expected and oozing flavour and texture. The risotto was creamy and somewhat bland next to the pizza, but the ribbons of zucchini and carrot were an elegant presentation. Dessert was a chocolate crème brûlée, and the orange almond cake, both of which were delightful. With three glasses of wine, the total came to about $230 Canadian, which, for the quality of the food and service, I found quite reasonable for a special meal Staff make sure that water glasses are refilled promptly, and everything was perfect. Bathrooms pristine.

I went there for a late lunch after my wine tasting and I must say the view on the patio is quite lovely. The food was good and service too. I might have chosen poorly, but I was not impressed by my panini. However, the soup was delicious. I think it might be a great place to have dinner, and if you don't mind paying 50$ for a lunch!

A delightful dining experience from start to finish! The ambiance? Clean and cozy—just the right balance of warmth and elegance. Our server, Adrian, was nothing short of perfection—smiling, knowledgeable, and impressively efficient, possibly a hospitality ninja in disguise. The food? A masterpiece. The burrata, dressed up in a fresh vegetable and salmon salad, was a symphony of flavors. The gnocchi? So pillowy and delicious, they deserve their own fan club. The meatballs? Legendary. And to top it all off, a tiramisu so perfect it could bring tears to a dessert lover’s eyes. Pair it all with the exceptional Hester Creek Wines, with Syrah likely stealing the show. Adrian, thank you for making this experience truly memorable—we’ll be back!

Very friendly staff, great vibe that makes you feel like you're in Italy and amazing food! I couldn't recommend the gnocchi more highly. If you think you've had gnocchi before, think again! Honestly, the only thing that wasn't perfection was that at the very beginning, while we were sitting down, we were asked if we'd like sparkling or still water. My wife chose sparkling. At the end of the meal, on the bill we we were charged $8. Just something to keep in mind as we weren't aware there would be an extra charge for it

We had a wonderful lunch here on a hot, sunny Sunday. The pergola and patio umbrella helped keep us cool while we enjoyed some amazing food! I had an open faced pork belly sandwich that was savoury from some melted Brie and crispy pork belly, sweet from the apple butter, peppery from the arugula and tangy from the pickled red onions. It was so delicious along with a freshly made side Caesar salad! I enjoyed the ti amo margarita with some tequila, sparkling wine and lime. My wife had the potato & truffle pizza which she raved about! Nice savouriness from the potatoes and mozzarella, spicy and peppery from the chili flakes and arugula and richness from the truffle aioli. She had a lovely Cabernet Merlot wine with it. Total was just under $55/person including tip and worth every penny!

Dear Management, I wanted to bring to your attention a matter that I believe requires immediate review. My wife and I recently returned to your property after a number of years, this time as guests in the villas. We were looking forward to dining at your restaurant and had made a reservation for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience left us quite disappointed due to the surprisingly poor food quality. To be clear, the villa accommodations are excellent and the front-of-house service was exceptional. Brittney, our server, was attentive, professional, and provided outstanding service—we truly appreciated her. However, what stood out starkly was the lack of flavour and execution in the food, which was consistent across multiple dishes. Specific Observations: Beet appetizer – Well-prepared and enjoyable. No complaints. Smoked Pulled Pork Pizza – The menu contains inconsistencies (some pizzas are labeled as such, others are not). More importantly, the pizza was flavourless. There was no visible sauce layer, and the white sauce was only lightly drizzled over the lettuce topping—far too subtle to contribute meaningfully to the dish. The overall result was dry and bland. Fettuccine Pasta (Main) – Shockingly, this dish tasted nearly identical to the pizza: lacking any distinct flavour, seasoning, or depth. It felt like an oversight rather than a crafted meal. Frankly, something in your kitchen appears to be fundamentally off. Whether it’s a recipe issue, quality control lapse, or inconsistent execution, I encourage you to have someone from management taste the dishes currently being served. I also suggest a thorough audit of food preparation standards and seasoning practices. A review of your recent online reviews shows others have reported similar concerns—this is not an isolated incident. We love the resort and hope to continue returning in the future. But the current food quality is not reflective of the overall excellence we’ve experienced in other areas of your property. I’m confident your team can address this, and I hope to see clear improvements on our next visit. Sincerely, Shawn

Such a warm and welcoming room for dining. Our lunch and wine was wonderful. We always stop here when visiting the Okanagan, this time we were on the beautiful patio. Just wonderful! Great food! Great service! We’ll be back ✅

An ideal winery dining experience! It’s on the classier, pricier side. But the service and entrees were amazing, not to mention the charming dining space and covered patio! Our waitress was one of the best I think I’ve ever had at any restaurant, very professional! Great wines to try! The charcuterie was very good and plenty as a meal or an appie for 3-4. My friend had a full fancy plate with the pork chops. The cannelloni too was exceptional! The dessert, a Grand Marnier infused peach pie with raspberry compote in a shortbread crust with creme freshe, sounded amazing but sadly did not deliver on taste. The potato pizza was also nothing exceptional - lacks an acid to balance all the starch.

Restaurant
Nestled within the stunning Burrowing Owl Estate Winery near Oliver, BC, the Sonora Room Restaurant offers a dining experience that beautifully complements its picturesque surroundings. Renowned for producing some of British Columbia's finest wines, this establishment is not just about great drinks; it also serves sophisticated cuisine paired with impeccable service. Guests can indulge in an extensive wine selection by the glass, with knowledgeable servers ready to recommend perfect pairings for each dish.
Joining a long table dinner was a dinner adventure. Each dish was a unique and delicious! Not to be outdone, the regular menu is equally fantastic. Thank you for making me feel welcome and recommending the duck, it was incredible and I left wanting to come back and try more!

Simply outstanding! The location is amazing with stunning views of the surrounding vineyards. The friendly service was top-notch as our server was very helpful with our choices. We started with the Pan Seared Scallops and despite the fact that the restaurant is some 400km from the coast, the scallops were delicious and cooked to perfection! The BC Salmon, Duck Breast and Beef Striploin were exquisitely tasty. For the striploin dish, the blue cheese cream seemed an odd addition with the onion tart only because its flavour is so strong, but it was an amazing combination! The desserts - Chocolate Terrine, Sticky Toffee Pudding – were a perfect end to a perfect meal. We very strongly recommend the Sonora restaurant when you visit the Burrowing Owl Winery and don’t forget to visit the tower which is accessed from the restaurant.

Not a good experience Went for lunch Ordered a vintage white wine .. it came out warm.. strike 1 Ordered charcuterie it was good Then ordered mains… I had the spaghetti dish.. awful and over salted … strike 2 … it was taking away from our server and no mention if I wanted to have any thing else … then she came back and asked me a few minutes later? Really .. Unfortunately, my appetite was ruined. My wife’s dish was okay but the server came back to offer us dessert before my wife had even finished half of her meal … really I don’t care for a Complimentary dessert because you screwed up my spaghetti Even though my wife is still finishing her main dish!? get real wake up people… strike 3 Will not return nor Recommend. Want a disappointing meal?… this is the place for you!

Gorgeous setting on the balcony at Sonora Room - amazing views, and the blinds to cut the sun were much appreciated. The food was great, particularly the focaccia/kale/mushroom/prosciutto special (though both this and the risotto were on the salty side). The wines poured aren't available retail, but surprisingly neither were to our taste.

I was treated to the tasting menu for my birthday and enjoyed every bite. The paired wines were impressive too. Service was great, friendly and efficient, without too much small talk. The views from the patio are spectacular. The chef knows how to cook and plate well.

Extremely positive experience! Me and my parents drove to the restaurant, went inside, and found out it was closed. The staff could have very easily turned us away, but instead they welcomed us in and kept the kitchen open just for us. The staff was very attentive, very friendly, and were very accommodating. Me and my parents shared the bread as well as the charcuterie board and it was all very delicious. I had the grilled cheese with the soup of the day and it was incredible. We unfortunately didn't get any dessert because we were so full by the end, but I'm sure it would have been as delicious as everything else we ordered. Incredible experience, we will definitely be coming back, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The restaurant is huge, and beautiful, with lovely patio dining overlooking the valley. This was by far the best meal we've had on the trip. The Ahi tuna had a fennel and cumin crust that was stellar, and was served with a smoked wine reduction. The grilled cheese on their fresh baked and toasted focaccia was also wonderful. It's cherry season, and having passed a hundred cherry fruit stands I had to try the cherry salad with radicchio and goat cheese. It did not disappoint. With lunch I had a flight of their library wines. The winery has been around since the 1990s, making it among the oldest in the area, so they have a very deep library. The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon was very memorable. at $145 Cdn on the very extensive wine list (which has exclusively Burrowing Owl Wines) I would be tempted to order a bottle of this next time.

Absolutely beautiful meal and wine, we spent 3 hours indulging. Espresso martini’s, striploin, scallops and ahi tuna were absolute standouts. Would highly recommend! All of our 7 dishes were fantastic accompanied with personable and attentive service. A must visit!

Bistro
Firehall Bistro is a welcoming and cozy establishment located in a friendly, small town. This pub offers an extensive menu with a variety of daily specials at great value. On Monday burger night, I opted for the prime rib burger which had a deliciously juicy patty with a slightly charred texture on a toasted bun.
Excellent visit. Things have changed since the last time I was here. My steak was perfectly cooked, and wings were delicious. Burgers are excellent, and the nachos are tasty! The ribs were the only things that weren't so great. Far too much BBQ sauce and a wee bit overcooked. However, our server was fun and friendly, and though the prices here are far too high for pub food, sadly, in Oliver, we don't have much of a selection of restaurants.

Juli was amazing, fast service. Amazing food large portions and great quality. 10/10 recommend the chicken sandwich if you’re a chicken sandwich person. The BLT had an immense amount of bacon on it! Very thick bacon that was not some cheap bs bacon like most places. I’ll be back, that’s for sure!

Came here for dinner and the restaurant was not busy at all. We sat outside on the deck and it was very quiet and peaceful. Our daughter ordered the poutine which was a large bowl and she enjoyed it. My husband ordered the quarter bbq chicken with fries and the vegetables of the day. I ordered the half chef salad which had fresh greens, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, ham and chicken. The half portion was even big. The service was great and so was the food

This is a great spot for lunch or dinner in Oliver. They have their own locally made beers that are always rotating. They also serve local wines and ciders. They have great daily food and drink specials and happy hour specials. They also host concerts and live music, often by donation. They also host trivia’s and other events. They have a beautiful patio and outdoor seating options when the weather permits. This is a must stop when in Oliver. The staff are friendly. Emmy is always so happy and welcoming and remembers regulars. Make sure to stop in.

I love upstairs, the servers are amazing and courteous. Downstairs however, we came on a Tuesday evg as veterans and as soon as we walked in the bartender gave my husband grief. If your trivia night is so exclusive maybe you should post signs that Noone is aloud after it starts.I have never seen or witnessed such rude behavior than that of the blond female bartender on shift this evg. We frequent the upstairs once a week however if that's how you treat people during your trivia night then I question coming back at all. We left without ordering! Our friends who were there befire us left because she was so rude, if she doesn't like her job maybe she should not work there. This is not the behavior we have come to know at the Firehall. Update: I would like to say thankyou to management who wrote to me and apologized. I appreciate your respect and thoughtfulness.

Family restaurant
Savvios Family Restaurant is a fantastic Greek eatery that offers excellent cuisine in a welcoming environment suitable for families. The diverse menu provides an array of options, and the presentation of dishes is exceptional. The portions are generous, easily satisfying even larger groups. However, there were some issues with service, as it was somewhat slow and neglectful of refilling drinks. The restaurant's decor could use updating but remains acceptable.
A warm and inviting Greek/Italian restaurant, We were made to feel right at home. Come hungry as the portions are very generous. The Spanakopita and Beef Souvlaki were some of the best I have ever had. The Tiramisu makes a nice light dessert. We will definitely visit again.

Had the roast lamb and my girlfriend that the Greek ribs, both dishes were fantastic with large portions and a reasonable price! Service staff were amazing and super friendly. I will definitely return next time I'm in Oliver!!

Had an amazing time! Really good food and the prices were not bad. Excellent servers going above and beyond. To start we had the calamari, generous portion and the restaurant is NOT stingy on tzatziki. (That deserves 5* right there!). Then we had the feta and spinach stuffed chicken and lamb roast with just salad. ❤️ we didn’t touch the pita and couldn’t finish our meals. We are both good eaters, so says a lot about the portion size.

Oliver foodies, you absolutely have to get yourselves here! This place is a definite five-star experience that hit all the right notes for me. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by an authentic Greek feel. The atmosphere is just right, transporting you straight to the Mediterranean with its charm. And thankfully, there's plenty of seating, so you don't feel squished, which is always a bonus. The staff are simply fantastic – genuinely friendly, attentive, and they make you feel incredibly welcome, like you're part of the family. That level of hospitality really elevates the whole dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food, specifically the delicious sauce. Whatever magic they're working in that kitchen, they've absolutely perfected their sauces. It's rich, flavorful, and just makes every bite sing. Whether it's on their meats or in their dips, that sauce is a true highlight. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic, making for a truly satisfying meal. Savvios is a gem. For fantastic Greek food, a wonderful atmosphere, and service that makes you smile, this is the place to be in Oliver. You won't be disappointed!

My husband Jeff and I went to Saavios for dinner last night. It was my first time there. We had the pleasure of being served by a lady named Sara. Wow she was exceptional! It was by far, hands down the best experience I have ever had with a server. I would give her more than 5 stars if that was an option and her smile literally lights up the room. The food was decent but I would definitely eat there again just because the service was so wonderful. Just for those wondering if I am a friend or relative of the lady who served us and that’s why I’m giving her such a stellar review, I am not and have never met or seen her in my life. She just deserves the recognition because it’s so rare these days to receive such top notch service.

I would eat here every day if I could! We drive out from Penticton, because it’s the best Greek food in the Southern Okanagan. Highly recommend coming here if you haven't already!
