Live music venue
The Ryman Auditorium, known as the "Mother Church of Country Music," is a historic venue in Nashville that hosts diverse concerts and daily tours. It is an iconic symbol of the city's musical roots, with intricate details and storied walls that make it visually captivating and historically significant. Alongside other famous entertainment destinations like the Grand Ole Opry House, Belcourt Theatre, and honky tonk bars, the Ryman Auditorium stands at the heart of Nashville's rich history.
I’m not a big country music fan and didn’t really expect to enjoy the Ryman, but I really liked it! The movie at the beginning of the tour was awesome and quite informative — got me excited for the rest of the tour. Tour path was easy and not too crowded for the most part, auditorium was beautifully restored and displays were on point and not just country music! Gift shop was very nice and prices were actually reasonable — and the included souvenir photo was an awesome surprise. I recommend this tour for all Nashville visitors.

I absolutely loved visiting the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville! Their welcome video presentation was phenomenal! It was super creative, heartfelt, and such a fun way to learn about the incredible history of this iconic venue! We bought our tickets ahead of time, and the self guided tour made it easy to explore at our own pace since we were a bit short on time. I’m so glad we came here before visiting the Opry! It really helped us appreciate the roots and evolution of country music and how the Ryman played such a huge role in it all. There’s even a chance to get your professional photo taken on stage, which makes for a cool souvenir to take home! It’s amazing to see that the Ryman isn’t just a museum. It’s still an active performance venue hosting concerts, comedy shows, and special events year round. Seeing a live show here would be unforgettable, I wish I had more time! Important tip if visiting multiple museums in Nashville, I highly recommend starting at the Ryman it sets the perfect stage for everything that follows!

I recall visiting the Ryman during the 80s and we could only go in so far due to its poor condition. Years later I moved to Nashville, and I really enjoyed the live shows and TV Tapings. So many awesome talented musicians, cast, and crew members have made the Ryman a memorable experience. Dolly was filming a TV Special and nailed it the first time, but she said, 'I want to sing again because people have been waiting, and I don't just want to sing and leave.' She is thoughtful, amazing, and classy. The Ryman has such an amazing history that is on display and has been preserved. I love the Ryman and it looks amazing.

I had the BEST time seeing Ella Langley at the Ryman. It’s a perfect venue for a concert. The acoustics were great. She put on a big show, but it still felt like a small club, intimate experience! I can’t wait to go again!!
Sandra V — Google review
Our visit at the Ryman to see Tommy Emmanuel was a fantastic experience. Tommy was absolutely incredible, yet the Ryman made it even more so. The acoustics are fantastic and with the balcony and large floor area there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The auditorium is well maintained for its age. The staff were very kind where ever we interacted with them from the concessions to security and admissions to ushers. I really look forward to my next visit to the Ryman Auditorium.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Venue was top notch. Maybe the best in America. Music was impeccable. Had never seen Jason Isbell. Was blown away. The opening Middle School Mariachi band was superb. And I can't speak highly enough of the no cell phone policy. And it's vigorous enforcement. It's been almost 15 years since I was able to enjoy a concert and listen to the music without the traction of a thousand cell phones lit up around me. Thank you!

In town for a conference October 2024 and to my surprise BNL and Toad the Wet Sprocket were playing at the Ryman! I had an amazing 4th row/front row seat. Both bands were excellent! Had a great time!
Tina R — Google review
The tour is very interesting for people that loves music! The immersive video that started the tour was incredible and all the memorabilia was amazing. Really loved being in that room that so many amazing musicians have played. I did the unguided tour and would be very willing to do the guided tour in another opportunity,.

Specialty Museums
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville is a must-visit attraction for music enthusiasts. It showcases the rich history, traditions, and impact of country music through interactive exhibits and a vast collection of memorabilia. Situated near Broadway's honky-tonks, it offers state-of-the-art galleries, event spaces, retail areas, and classrooms.
The Country Music Hall of Fame is an incredible showcase of music history and artistry in Nashville! We bought our tickets ahead of time, which was definitely the way to go. The museum is so easy to navigate, and since it’s a self-guided tour, we were able to move quickly and see as much as possible at our own pace. The exhibits are thoughtfully organized and full of fascinating details. I loved seeing all the stage costumes. It’s incredible how tiny some of them are in real life!! The stories, creativity, and care put into every display really make you appreciate the heart and history behind country music. The Dolly Parton display was one of my absolute favorites. Seeing her stunning outfits and personal items up close was magical. Her personality and legacy shine in every detail! Standing in the Rotunda, surrounded by the words “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” was really moving. It’s in the heart of the museum and very cool to see. Overall, the Country Music Hall of Fame is beautifully designed, inspiring, and well worth the visit. Definitely arrive early if possible, and give yourself plenty of time to soak it all in. It’s an unforgettable experience!

We went through the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It had a lot of interesting exhibits. The museum also has a number of restaurants inside and a great gift shop. The Red Onion is simply food court style with snacks, burgers, and wraps and tables in the lobby. The Bajo Taco is a fast food like restaurant with disposable plates and a limited number of tables. The best sit-down restaurant is Barliners with great ambiance and live music.

One of the beautiful museum showcasing the Country Music history. It offers an expansive and immersive experience with extensive exhibits on country music history that appeal to both die-hard fans and casual listeners. Exhibits are not just for country music purists. There are displays on artists like Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Garth Brooks, along with Elvis's gold-plated Cadillac, making it interesting for a wide range of visitors. You should spare minimum two hours to visit the museum without enjoying shows presented in two theaters.

Better stop than you might expect. If it's really hot and you want to cool down, or rainy and you want to dry out but can't find a great honky tonk. Run in here. You can run through just looking at stuff and reading just a few things in less than an hour, but if you get into it like we found ourselves it took us over 2 hours. Easy to get tickets but recommend getting them early or online. Restrooms were clean enough. Gift shop packed with everything you need. The museum is Usually not jam packed and easy to take at your own pace. Give this review a like👍 or even mark as helpful ❤️ if you've read this far. Find the 6 shooter door handles if you can. Or Johnny cash's leather jacket. Be sure to watch the movie 🍿.
Adventure K — Google review
This was a beautiful museum, with food/drink options outside the entrance and a really great gift shop. I grew up loving country music. I was hoping to see more from artists like Reba McEntire, Billy Ray Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, and other artists from that era. I loved that Dolly had her own section of the museum. The museum had kind of a linear timeline. It would have been cool to see more how the music was affected by historical events or things going on within society. It felt a little disconnected. It was like like “XYZ wore this dress to the ABC award ceremony” which is cool too. Overall, it’s a great museum. Very beautiful. Worth checking out. I think it could be even greater though.
Rachel H — Google review
As someone who wasn’t familiar with country music prior to walking through the museum, I felt like I was schooled! There were wonderful exhibits denoting the history of this genre. I especially appreciated them including outfits and personal stories from some of the most influential artists! It was worth the entry prices for sure. You can also receive discounts if you’re in the military, a student, nurse, first responder, etc…! It takes about 2.5-3 hours to walk through while taking your time.
Haylee B — Google review
Absolutely loved the Country Music Hall of Fame! If you’re a country music fan or even just a music fan in general this place is a must-visit. The exhibits are beautifully curated, packed with history, iconic outfits, classic instruments, and stories that really bring the legends of country music to life. The building itself is stunning, and everything is laid out so well that you can take your time and enjoy it without feeling rushed.
Eatwithjarco — Google review
We walked over from our hotel and got right in about 2 pm on Sunday. We spent an hour and a half total, including the the gift shop. We didn't read everything but spent some time looking at everything. It's very well done and I loved the intro to how American music was developed over time. The influences from Europe and Africa are unique. They have several Taylor Swift items which are lovely. The gift shop is full of unique and wonderful souvenirs choices. You can get your postcards and keychains for your friends back home.

Concerts & Shows
Nashville, also known as the capital of country music, is a vibrant city with a rich history and diverse entertainment scene. Visitors can explore various historical sites such as Fort Nashborough, Fort Negley, the Parthenon, Tennessee State Museum, and the Hermitage. The city offers sophisticated dining options and a lively atmosphere for all interests. One of its main attractions is the Grand Ole Opry, where both classic and contemporary country acts perform in weekly live radio shows.
An Unforgettable Night at the Grand Ole Opry Visiting the Grand Ole Opry is like stepping into the heart of American music history. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the energy and legacy of the countless artists who’ve graced its stage. The show itself is a perfect blend of legendary performers and rising stars, all sharing the spotlight in a format that’s both intimate and electric. The sound quality is excellent, the production is seamless, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming—whether you're a lifelong country fan or just curious to experience something uniquely Nashville. The venue is beautifully maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s well worth booking tickets in advance, especially if you want good seats or plan to take a backstage tour. If you're in Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry is a must-see. It’s not just a show—it’s a piece of living history, and it leaves you with a deep appreciation for the music and the artists who make it. The Kody Norris Show, were amazing, we hadn’t really appreciated what Blue grass music was until this high energy band got on stage. The Auctioneer track was just brilliant and is the stand out memory of our US trip.

We were there for a NextGen conference. I'm not a "fan" of country music. That said, it was pretty awesome to be seated in a place with such history. 100 years this month! So many names of so many great entertainers. The show was good. If this is your thing, I assure you, you'll enjoy it! The staff were friendly, the venue was clean.

A must see when in Nashville… the history of the building is incredible.. and when you combine the artists that play there regularly you have a winning combination. Suggest buying a parking pass and get your tickets online as the shows are well attended. The back stage tour is worth it for the hard core fans looking for a deep dive. The dressing rooms and memorabilia is very cool to see.

What a surreal experience getting to finally visit this beautiful piece of musical history. Having heard about this place thousands of time growing up in a country music loving family, loved getting to see it in real life. Awesome! Maybe one day I will perform here. ❤️

Wonderful venue. So much history. We have done the backstage tour which i highly recommend. This visit we did a show celebrating The Opry 100th year anniversary. It was incredible. We saw legends like Connie Smith and Junior Brown, the iconic Carrie Underwood, and rising star Preston Cooper. I was hoping Dolly Parton would show up. She was there 2 weeks after we were.
Wendy S — Google review
A highly recommended once in a lifetime experience. It’s worth paying the extra money for VIP treatment since you get to go backstage and actually sit on the stage for a few songs. Everyone was friendly and I had a great day.

This was my first time visiting Nashville, and I’m so glad I ended my trip with a visit to the Grand Ole Opry. I’m not usually a country music listener, so I walked in expecting a fun experience but nothing too life-changing. Instead, the show completely blew me away. The performers were incredible, the energy in the room felt electric, and the whole night was this surprising mix of heart, humor, and pure talent. The Opry has a way of pulling you in even if the genre isn’t normally your thing. You can feel the history in the space, but the show itself feels alive and full of joy. It was the perfect finale to my time in Nashville, and honestly one of the highlights of my entire trip. Five stars without question.
Ming L — Google review
I’m not a country music fan at all, but if you’re going to visit Nashville, you kinda have to go, don’t you. I did and I have regrets. It was awesome and fun! Live music, regardless of genre, is just super cool and enjoyable. We had great seats way up high to the right of the the stage. It was really a perfect view. All the performers were great. I really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful venue. Got to subtract one star for charging $9 for a tall boy. Jeez, c’mon, man! Gouge, gouge, gouge.

Nature & Parks
Cheekwood is a sprawling estate from the 1930s that features an art museum, picturesque botanical gardens, a cafe, and a gift shop. The museum houses works previously in the collection of Stanford Fine Art, now acquired by various art museums worldwide. Nashville's growth has led to the opening of Stanford Contemporary, a new gallery dedicated to modern and contemporary art within Cheekwood. The museum showcases American art through portraits, impressionist paintings, and contemporary works.
This was a great place to visit especially on a Tuesday. It was not that busy so it was easy to navigate and enjoy the beautiful grounds and mansion. All of the staff, from the parking attendants, gift shop employees, those who were working on the grounds, the docents in the mansion museum, and everyone we encountered were very friendly, helpful, compassionate and lovely to interact with. The gardens that we were able to explore were absolutely beautiful. I'm in a wheelchair so not every path or garden is accessible, but a great deal of the grounds and property are including the mansion. We enjoyed exploring and touring. What an interesting place with a fascinating history. Just beautiful!
Steph G — Google review
December 2022 was my first & last visit to Cheekwood. I wanted to see the Holiday Lights-Garden and Mansion there; even though, it was no longer Christmas season & past Christmas. Despite the rainy weather and experiencing pain walking, it was wonderful to walk through the Christmas lights. It was $30 for an adult ticket. Was it worth it? Yes. Just make sure to still be prepared for crowds even after the holidays if you want to see the Christmas lights. We saw a wedding proposal on a bridge. There was walking traffic on the grounds until it started raining. We went to the mansion during some of the time of heavy rain pour. The mansion was showcasing a gallery of illustrations of The Adams Family, paintings, and vintage photos of famous Hollywood celebrities. It was festively decorated for Christmas and was a joy to wander through. It was very crowded in the area with The Adams Family illustrations gallery. I took a lot of videos of the holiday light displays in the rain and tried seeing every part of Cheekwood that night. When we went back to our car, we were given a golf cart ride back to our car to avoid the long walk back to our car by Troy.

Lovely historic mansion and beautiful grounds. The walk from the parking area to the mansion is a pathed street and path that winds through some beautiful garden beds. The mansion has been well maintained. Only a few rooms display period-type furnishings and history. Most of the rooms display a museum art collections. Some of my favorite exhibits were the jazz room, the porcelain, and the US history theme pieces. The gift shop was full of artistic and unique pieces, they were expensive but high quality. I loved looking at the hand made pins and unique bowties, neckties, scarves, and jewelry. We explored the grounds behind and to the side of the mansion and they were lovely. They had a Japanese garden, that was peaceful and lovely. They had other areas with theme sculptures. The grounds throughout were well maintained and beautiful. I wish we could have stayed longer but they closed at 5.

What a beautiful place! It was very easy to spend a few hours here - it takes quite a while to see all the gardens. There are a lot of shady spots for when it's hot outside, and benches everywhere. The day we went, there were also a couple food trucks. I would definitely walk here a lot if I lived near here!

We had such a wonderful time visiting this place! It’s absolutely beautiful, perfect for families and for taking amazing photos. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and every corner looks picture-perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing outing with loved ones! 🌿📸

We had such a wonderful time at Cheekwood’s El Día de los Muertos festival today! Even though it was a bit colder than last year, the vibrant art, delicious food, and lively music more than made up for it. Our family has been coming to Cheekwood since our kids were little, and this festival has always held a special place in our hearts. We love attending the many events throughout the year, but El Día de los Muertos remains one of our absolute favorites. It is a beautiful celebration of culture, community, and creativity and we look forward to it every year!

Lovely garden estate. Most trails are paved. Beautiful flowers/plants throughout. Interesting sculptures, kids play areas and fun toy train area. You will definitely want a few hours to enjoy all the sights.
Louli K — Google review
GOOD FOR ALL AGES and an excellent way to get exercise by walking through the garden at your own pace. Parking is easy. My husband and I had been here during the holidays but not during the summer. We were surprised by the variety of flowers. There is also a sculpture garden, which seems old and needs some love but did not take that much time to go through. The mansion is not decorated in any way during the summer and some of the rooms were closed for meetings. Two gift shops and a cafe on the premises. Cheekwood also hosts a lot of events, including small outdoor concerts, so we joined as members to take advantage of it.

The Frist Art Museum, housed in a classic art deco building, offers a diverse range of visual exhibitions and educational programs. Visitors can explore various art forms including paintings, sculptures, and photography that narrate captivating stories. The museum is renowned for its ever-changing temporary exhibits, ensuring a unique experience with each visit.
This is a really cool place to visit. They have several different things to do and see while you are here. It was definitely worth the $20 entry fee. We took a couple of hours to see the exhibits and were able to go at our own pace. It was very informative, and we learned a lot. It was well worth spending time in there. It's a great place to hang out on a hot summer day.

It doesn't feel right to give a museum a rating other than 5 stars, but unless you're super interested in an ongoing exhibit, I don't think this one is a great value. I went for the "Venice and the Ottoman Empire" exhbit (now gone) and had a good time, albeit a short time. The total museum isn't that large, and I imagine it's rare for more than one current exhibition to be particularly interesting to any one person.
Lane S — Google review
Nice art museum to visit. The second floor was not open the day we visited or I’d rate it higher. Super friendly staff and the Cafe Cheeserie inside was a quiet affordable place to get lunch. The art deco style building used to be the main post office. Overall a good experience.

The Frits Art Museum is a wonderful place to explore art and creativity. The collection is diverse and well-curated, featuring both modern and classic pieces that inspire reflection. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the space itself is beautifully designed. It’s a peaceful and inspiring spot for anyone who appreciates art and culture. Highly recommended!

We visited the Frist Art Museum on a weekend and had a fantastic time. It wasn’t too crowded, so we were able to enjoy the exhibits at our own pace—which made the experience even better. Right now, they’re showing a stunning exhibit on Venice and the Ottoman Empire, and it’s truly worth seeing. From intricate tapestries and historical artwork to traditional foods and even recovered items from a shipwreck, it was immersive and thoughtfully curated. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. As we walked up the outdoor stairs, a kind woman greeted us and gave clear directions. After purchasing tickets, another staff member shared a fascinating bit of history about the building’s past and its unique architectural features—but I won’t spoil it, because it’s better to hear in person. At $20 per person, it’s a great value for the quality of the exhibits and the overall atmosphere. If I lived in Nashville, I’d absolutely get an annual pass. I’d even revisit the same exhibit—it was that good. Highly recommended for art lovers, history buffs, or anyone looking for a peaceful and enriching day in the city. PS Be sure to get your parking validated.

Nice gallery. Kind staff. The cafe and court yard in the back is cozy. I wish the gallery collection was a little bigger. At only two floors, it’s smaller than many big USA city art galleries.

City House is a popular Italian restaurant in Nashville that has gained recognition for its Southern-inspired dishes. Known for its simple yet delicious menu featuring house-made pastas and pizzas, the restaurant offers a variety of options such as belly ham with oregano, parm, and chilies. It also boasts an extensive selection of wines and whiskeys. City House's weekly Sunday Supper is highly recommended for a memorable dining experience.
Excellent food, great service in a relaxed ambiance. The gnocchi was excellent, peach pizza very tasty, and the Tennessee waltz cake got me waltzing😃. Overall a fun experience.

Overall a pretty solid staple in Nashville, I do recommend. Overall the food is pretty good, decent choices on the menu and good customer service. A very busy place though, so do expect a wait if you don't make reservations and it may take a little while for your server to make it around. Overall worth checking out if you haven't been here before.

City House is a must-visit if you’re in Nashville! It’s a hidden gem with a menu that changes every Sunday, offering unique and exciting flavors. The service is top-notch and the food is even better. The vibe is super cozy and relaxed; from the outside, it might look like an old house, but inside, it’s beautifully decorated with a clean, simple style. Be sure to make a reservation—it's a small spot but always busy!

This place has a good-looking, ever-changing menu of Italian dishes; pizzas and pastas are the majority (extensive drink menu, too). I sat at the pizza counter overlooking the kitchen, which was cool. Overall, the place has a classy vibe, fit for any occasion, but you can still get away with casual looks. Service was great, and explanations/input from my server were rock solid. For food: the octopus had a nice, crunchy exterior and flavors/textures were on point for that dish. The trout entree was sweet, rich, earthy/herby, and had an explosion of flavor. The fish was cooked perfectly..10/10 dish! They have an enticing dessert menu; I barely had room, but the sorbet sundae (DF coconut base) had great textures and some delicious bourbon-soaked cherries -- you have room for it, even if you think you don't! Overall, the value here is sky-high, and I'd be excited to come back any day!

If you're looking for a different dining experience, this is it. GM Sal Avila offers a short menu of salads, pizzas and entrees, most of which we never heard of, but the Zephyr Squash was excellent, light, flavorful, with just the right amount of textures and base. The James Beard award winning Belly ham, Mozzarella pizza is also excellent! Try it with the farm egg on top! The service at the bar, even at peak hours was good to excellent, for both food and wine suggestions. The wine list is long and from the continent. The ambiance is casual; this is not fine dining, it’s great food!

I enjoy the food, but it’s not a 5 ⭐️ home run for me. The pork belly pizza was the best entree for our group and I enjoyed the desserts much more than the savory options. Good cocktail offerings and extensive wine menu.

Mexican restaurant
Mas Tacos Por Favor is a beloved Mexican eatery in East Nashville that started as a food truck and has now become a local favorite. The no-frills, cash-only restaurant offers an array of delicious tacos, including options like cast iron chicken, braised pork, Baja fish, fried avocado, and quinoa with sweet potato. In addition to tacos, they also serve hand-rolled tamales on Wednesdays and refreshing drinks like horchata and agua fresca.
This is a fabulous local spot if you want cool and trendy tacos at an affordable price. Tacos are all corn tortilla based, so more authentic in their creation, but the flavor profiles and pairings were amazing. Nothing fried here, so no tortilla chips. Everybody at the table got something different and we enjoyed it all! Walk up window service and you can see yourself outside or inside. Big cooler full of water with cups next to it if you need it. Kitchie aesthetic atmosphere inside. Two single stalled bathrooms inside for customers.

9/19/2025 Stopped here for lunch and while in line a guy who use to work there said the food was phenomenal. I ordered the fried avocado taco, chicken taco, elite, and a margarita. The food was delicious! You order at the window and then find a seat and they call you up to get your tray of food. The only thing I would say is it is hot inside and the constant opening of closing the door flies came in. I would highly recommend this place!! I would love to try all of their menu items. Also they need desserts!!!!

My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Nashville!! They earn all the hype that they receive!! I have been coming to the same location for over six years and it is consistently my favorite food and atmosphere and service!! The Tacos are very good!! Elote “Street corn” is the best!! be sure to ask for the toppings. These are roasted carrots and onions, etc., to put on your taco along with the green sauce. The bar has one of the best Mezcal selections I have seen or tasted. Very friendly atmosphere you feel like you are with family.

Low key great place to eat. Order at the window outside, find a table and they call your name and you pick it up at the window. Cuban beans, Elite (corn) was amazing. Tacos were great also. Good selection of drinks also.

Love the old school feel of a Cantina with a bar outside eating. Walk up order bring it to your table. You have a bar where you can order drinks. Eat tacos in the sunshine or eat them inside. They also play great eclectic tunes. I had great service when I was there.

Visited Nashville for the first time and this place was recommended by a couple uber drivers. It definitely lived up to the hype. The elote was so sweet and it balanced so well with the tajin. And the tacos were amazing. All of this, while listening to great music, I mean you are in Nashville, right? If you’re in town, definitely stop in for great food.

The corn was good.It was sweet and delicious. There wasn’t a wide range of options available for us to choose from. We got the pulled pork tacos, it wasn’t seasoned enough but it was very salty. We bought 3 each and i ate only one :(

New American restaurant
Rolf and Daughters is a trendy, industrial-chic restaurant located in Nashville's Germantown neighborhood. The establishment offers a dynamic dining experience with its clever New American dishes, communal tables, and inventive cocktails. Housed in a historic building with rustic decor featuring wood paneling and bare lightbulbs, the restaurant exudes a contemporary vibe. The menu showcases an array of shareable small plates, comforting pasta dishes, and rustic main courses.
Great place, definitely a Nashville staple now. Really good food, good customer service and great cocktails. The espresso Martini is actually pretty tasty. Highly recommend reservations if you're going to go here, especially on a weekend. Some of the tables are shared seating, so just be aware of that in advance. Definitely recommend!

Great atmosphere in this trendy modern Italian spot. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. The dishes were unique and beautiful. Some of them had a tendency to lose the main ingredient a little bit (the tuna and the beef tartare.) But the overall experience was good. A great drink selection, and unique specialty cocktails. Definitely a place I would suggest to others.

Delicious pasta, amazing wine, and knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. I would say we left here full and happy. We ordered almost everything on the menu and love every item. I love a good bread and their sourdough is just as good as Brooklyn top spots. The pasta is fresh. Everything off the menu won’t disappoint. The ambience is casual. If you are on a date, you can get a private corner. We were here for birthday and it was fun. The service is top.

Lighting and music, chefs kiss. 11/10 would recommend.

Great spot!! Our bartender/ waiter was fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. He made us feel right at home. Bartending here for 3 years, he knew the menu well, and we had his recommendations. After walking 11 miles in downtown Nashville, I had a beer, while my wife had an Amalfi Coast mocktail. Both were tasty and refreshing. We started with the tomato appetizer with prosciutto, which was full of flavor. We then had the Rigatoni and Agnolotti meals, both tasty. The Rigatoni was a better portion, and the Agnolotti had a more decent flavor, even though the portion size, we believe, was small. To finish up, we had that raspberry sorbet with honey, tart but great! It was a great atmosphere, and even though it was backed up at 5 p.m. (it's best to get a reservation for a table), we were seated promptly. The restaurant was full by 5:45 p.m.! We walked, and street parking is available, but it could be a problem if it's busy. If you're in Germantown, don't miss this treat. I'm glad my wife found it.

Unique food that will expand your tastes and open your mind to new experiences. The best mixed drinks around, too! We enjoyed eating and drinking at the bar, and the atmosphere felt so relaxing.

Everything was very fresh and delicious. I really recommend the steak tartar, it's like a fresh salad with a unique taste, just perfect. Also the waitress recommended the crepe together with the mascarpone ice cream for dessert and that was a really good combination

Went here with two friends as a last-minute decision and was so glad we did! We had the melon, tomatoes, and bean appetizers — beans were my favorite with their salty anchovies. We spilt the bolognese pasta and the seasonal corn pasta (I forget the name), both were delicious. For dessert, we got the mascarpone ice cream and walnut Panna cotta. The Panna cotta was our favorite, like a creamy and nutty flan. Shout out to Crema coffee for their little suggestion cards, which led us to this place on our vacation.

The Catbird Seat is an upscale dining destination in Nashville, offering a unique and interactive experience for diners. The restaurant features a U-shaped open kitchen where 22 bar seats allow guests to observe the culinary team at work. The ever-changing tasting menu showcases intricate small plates crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients, ensuring a dynamic and surprising dining experience.
Not enough stars, the chefs are artists with food. It's a work of art, don't want to eat it. Farm to table, with the freshest ingredients. I recommend this place and make reservations. Also pair it with the wine menu or not they have cocktails. The wine steward was so sweet, showed each bottle and region it is from. Each dish is explained by the chef. This is the top three of my tasting menu experiences. I can't say enough about the people or the experience you just have to take my word.

With almost $600 for 2 people, i expect way more for tonight! My husband has shellfish allergy but all his substitutes were “vegetables” 🥲. I personally don’t feel like chef was trying to put much effort to accommodate shellfish allergy customers at all. We feel like they don’t respect our money. Even after my husband tried to ask if they could substitute with other types of meat. The answer was “that’s how we do it” With almost a month we made a reservation and chose our special day to celebrate. (Before valentine) We’re really disappointed ☹️ Not to mention that after the whole experience we only have 1 tiny main course (pork was very chewy) that left us still hungry. The Indian chef was (perhaps) care enough to ask me how was it. After i gave him my honest answer that it’s too tough for me. Then they just did nothing and ignored all of our opinions. I have no idea what’s wrong with everything tonight but it was definitely not worth our money. We’ll never go back and would never recommend this place for our friends.

If you are searching for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary in Nashville, this restaurant should be at the very top of your list. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with an elegant yet understated atmosphere—modern design softened with warm lighting and impeccable attention to detail. The service is nothing short of world-class: attentive without being intrusive, with staff who are not only knowledgeable about the menu but also passionate about food and wine pairings. Every course feels like a carefully composed piece of art. The flavors are layered, balanced, and surprising—each dish tells a story. Ingredients are clearly sourced with the highest standards, and the chef’s creativity shines through in every bite. From delicate starters to beautifully plated mains and desserts that rival fine patisserie, the consistency of excellence is remarkable. Yes, the price is high, but it reflects the caliber of the experience. This isn’t just a dinner—it’s an immersion into culinary craftsmanship that could easily stand alongside Michelin-starred establishments in larger cities. Nashville has many great restaurants, but this one feels like it is on the verge of setting a new standard for fine dining in the city.

My husband and I dined at The Catbird Seat in early November 2025 - just a short week after they were awarded a Michelin star! We had been planning on coming here to celebrate a special occasion so we were delighted by the news of the star. Our experience was really exceptional. The service was outstanding and the staff takes special care to interact with you at different moments and coursings throughout the evening. This gave us a chance to get to know everyone a bit and ask questions - all of this gave us unique perspectives on the food and beverages we were trying. The food was of course very lovely. I believe we had 13 courses start to finish. Although the dishes are petite, I did find it a bit difficult to get through them all. Just keep this in mind if you are dining and have any consumption restrictions! The whole experience of the staff cooking and prepping directly in front of us felt very intimate and interesting. The vibes were great with old school hip hop playing in the background while we watched the meticulous preparation of bites in front of us. We spent about $600 total including beverages (not the recommended pairings - just à la carte).

Was expecting a lot given all the glowing reviews, but was a tiny bit disappointed in the food. Great service and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Dishes were very creative and original with a lot of thought put into the creation however I found that the flavors for a couple of the dishes were unbalanced, either way too salty or too acidic. One other thing I didn't like about the menu was they had a pork dish which was served much less cooked than I'm used to. I appreciate that it is their menu but when it comes to health they should of asked a preference of doneness. I asked them to make it more cooked and they did but it was still too raw for me and my fellow diners. All in all, it fell slightly short of my expectations especially given price point they are trying to justify.

My best friend, my sister from another mother, and I had the pleasure of dining in a beautiful establishment to celebrate a birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! It felt like everything you would expect from a Michelin-star restaurant. The food was prepared to absolute perfection in my humble opinion, and the wine pairing complemented it beautifully—it was just as exquisite. The evening was elegant, the atmosphere enchanting, and every bite was delicious. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience that left us both grateful and excited to return.

A full service, prix fixe at the bar dining experience nearly worthy of Michelin mention. Every course was innovative, full of flavors and textures. There is a full bar and extensive wine list. The only negative was a positive; keeping the food prep area clean is essential, but spraying the counter near open ingredient containers leads to contamination.

This was an experience like no other. I could write a 5 page paper about every nice detail added to each dish or the service that takes away your dish right when you finish and even folds your dining napkin while you use the restroom. Every dish was something I had never had before. Flavors I never knew existed and food brand new to me. My experience was magical, no other words can be used. Please try for yourself and see.

Nestled in Nashville, Butcher & Bee is a trendy spot known for its ever-changing menu featuring innovative and seasonal dishes crafted from local ingredients. Chef Bryan Lee Weaver's fusion of Israeli cuisine with Southern flavors has garnered attention, especially the must-try Whipped Feta dish - a delectable blend of feta and cream cheese drizzled with fermented honey. The restaurant offers small mezze plates and dips as starters, along with family-style large-format dishes.
Wow! All I can say is wow! This restaurant is charming, but the food is excellent. We ordered the Japanese Latkes and those came out with such a bold flavor. This was the star of the meal. Next came okra with sun dried tomatoes. This was excellent! The tomatoes were caramelized somehow but so delicious! Lastly came the Avocado Crispy Rice with chicken dish. This was the star of the meal! They all were the star of the meal! I would easily go back to this restaurant again and would recommend this to anyone!

We had a fantastic time here. The avocado brown rice crisp was amazing, it’s refreshing, creamy and crunchy. The perfect combination of texture and flavor taste! Service was excellent! We will be going back to try some other dishes for sure!

I had Butcher & Bee saved for a while and finally got to give it a try. Nothing less than awesome! Paul was our bartender and he killed it! The menu had a lot of interesting and delicious looking options that Paul helped us navigate, as well as the beverages which were amazing too 👏 👏 👏 I definitely recommend sitting at the bar when you go and if Paul is there, sit with him!

Okay, this spot is it. Butcher & Bee in Nashville absolutely nailed that moody, vibey restaurant feel — the kind where the lighting is just right, the music hits, and you instantly know you’re in for a good time. It’s definitely a hot spot (there’s always a wait), but trust me, it’s worth every minute. The food? Wow. I’m still thinking about those charred lion’s mane mushrooms — total flavor bomb. The squash dip with pumpkin and pomegranate seeds was next-level, especially with their unreal bread. Everything comes out course by course in small, shareable plates, which I love — perfect for tasting everything without feeling like you overdid it. The Mediterranean-Indian fusion here just works. Every bite had layers of spice, texture, and flavor that kept me reaching for more. My falafels were crispy perfection, and I have to shout out their mocktail game — so good! I really appreciate when a restaurant puts effort into their non-alcoholic options, and this one did not disappoint. Your bill comes tucked into a Nancy Drew book ! Loved that unexpected touch . Between the friendly staff, the beautiful decor, and the overall vibe, Butcher & Bee is officially on my must-visit-again list. If you’re into moody aesthetics, shareable plates, and plant-based dishes that slap, this place is your jam.

Had our anniversary dinner here. Had multiple drinks and dishes: the lamb, the feta, the chicken, the falafel and the banana espresso crunch cake. The feta is on point, actually it was all on point. Our server Hunter was great. Would recommend this place anytime

We came here for brunch and arrived at 11am. We ordered the chicken pita , hummus, and shashuka. All of the food was delicious. The fries were a bit salty but that happens. I will say we waited almost an hour for our 3 items. Items were also decently priced so that was a nice surprise. Again, only downside was the slow service. Our server was friendly and very polite and it’s not a reflection on him at all, more so the kitchen speed.

Butcher & Bee is an East Nashville staple that delivers a standout dining experience with a Mediterranean-inspired menu that changes seasonally. The whipped feta and hummus dips were incredible and i would guess best sellers, the tartar they had on the menu was super creative with the crunch dusting they added, and the crispy rice dish was spicy, Thai-influenced, and packed with flavor this is my must have everytime I visit you have to give it a try. The atmosphere is inviting with little details everywhere providing some visual interests. I esoecially like dining on the mezzanine level for the rest of the food I appreciate that so many dishes have such a great texture, with nuts adding crunch and depth to each bite. The bar is just as impressive, serving up inventive cocktails and seasonal shrubs that really hit the mark. While I have visited many times I need to call out to our server Jabari for this most recent visit he really went out of the way to make the night feel extra special with great recommendations and warm service. We wouldn't have gotten the potato latkes without his input and they turned out to be a favorite for everyone! Overall highly recommend B&B for anyone who loves bold flavors and a well crafted vibe. Ohh and don't skimp dessert!

Had a lovely meal here with friends on a pretty chill Sunday night. SERVICE was amazing — we had a fantastic waiter who assisted with the menu and drinks and knew what they were talking about. Felt like I could trust them and follow their lead. I wish I knew their name to shout out but they had some very dope tattoos. Thank you, whoever you are 🥹 FOOD was phenomenal. You can see everything we ordered here except the skirt steak, which was notable and SO tender. Since their menu is seasonal I’m not sure if they’ll have these dishes when you get here but … - get the whipped feta! - all their fresh dishes were so so tasty. You could literally taste the freshness. - avocado crispy rice was SOOO good - how do they make it so dang crispy??? - meat dishes were great - got the kibbeh and skirt steak Overall amazing experience. Was so blessed to come here with close close friends which made it that much more memorable.
