Biltmore, an iconic French Renaissance château built by George W. Vanderbilt, boasts 250 rooms and lavish gardens that replicate a working French estate. The estate is a popular attraction, drawing in around 3.8 million visitors annually including well-known figures like Edith Wharton and several U.S. presidents.
Amazing! I went here as a teen, but as an adult, no words… The house is of course rich in history and architecture and is definitely something to behold. Being decorated for Christmas enhances the appearance and makes you wonder how long does it take to do all this?!?! The audio tour takes roughly 2 hours depending on your pace and is so informative and recommended. The rooms are all decorated and look great, each with a different theme. The park and ride in my opinion is the way to go, however, if you park yourself, it’s roughly an 8-10 minute walk. The staff are great and will answer any questions you may have and give you a history lesson in the process. HIGHLY recommended!!!

I am glad I visited as I’ve heard so much about it. Overall, I thought it was nice, but overpriced. There is a moment in the audio tour where the current head of the Biltmore foundation is quoted as saying the Biltmore is about preserving the past and definitely not about making money. I have my doubts. Tickets are pricey and so is everything else. It is very well kept, so I do think they are providing some value, but I doubt it’s a sacrifice. However, the grounds and gardens are lovely and seem to be free to enter and that is a public service, so maybe I’m wrong. It’s a lovely house and the audio tour is pretty good. They devoted a lot of time to the builders and staff. I do find that interesting but could have done with less. What were those Vanderbilts doing in there? I’d like to know. If I were in the area again I’d revisit the gardens, but probably wouldn’t take the house tour again anytime soon though I am glad I went once.

I absolutely advise you to go see this stunning home and property! It is a visual wonderland! I loved everything about it! Take the tour....it's self guided and very well scripted. The architecture, the furniture, the fabrics, the tapestries, the fireplaces! All spectacular! They were setting up for Christmas while we were there so we got an idea how beautiful it will be for Christmas! It is alot of walking and alot of stairs though, so be prepared for that. Every employee we encountered was so nice and friendly. The Gardens were just so beautiful and well thought out! Stunning really. I can imagine that every season here must be so beautiful! It was the number one reason I wanted to come to Asheville and I am so pleased that we went! You will be too! Go see what the Guilded age was all about.

First time going to Biltmore. Wanted to go there for my birthday on November 15th. Had a great time. Me, my mom, sister, and niece all enjoyed the house and the tours. We're all first timers. Looking forward to visiting in other seasons. There wasn't really any waiting. Aside from the main gate where they scan your passes and whatnot. We only had to wait for king tut exhibition cuz we arrived a little early on November 16th. Would love to visit the real thing in Egypt someday. Good history to learn for those interested. Highly recommend visiting biltmore. The architecture and designing are wild.
Michael M — Google review
I recently visited the Biltmore Estate and was struck by the beauty of the property — the architecture, gardens, and mountain views are absolutely breathtaking. It’s easy to see why this place is called America’s largest home. However, the overall experience didn’t live up to the price tag. The King Tut exhibit was especially disappointing. Most of what’s displayed are replicas, not original artifacts — something not made clear until you’re already inside. For anyone genuinely interested in Egyptian history, you’re far better off visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, which houses the real treasures of King Tut. As for staying overnight on the estate, I wouldn’t recommend it. Everything closes early, there’s very little to do in the evenings, and the restaurants are wildly overpriced for what they offer. The prices are luxury, but the feeling is commercial and subpar to what you’re paying for. It’s clear they’re capitalizing on the Biltmore name more than prioritizing guest experience. If you’re visiting, I’d highly recommend staying in downtown Asheville instead — there’s much more to do, great local restaurants, live music, and shops that stay open late. You’ll have a far richer experience for a fraction of the cost. The staff were friendly and the scenery is stunning, but overall, the visit felt like an expensive tourist trap rather than a true luxury experience. Visit once for the architecture and gardens — but stay elsewhere and manage your expectations.

Such an amazing self guided tour experience. Beautiful Estate and Grounds. *Bathrooms, café, gifts shops ( Toy, Confectionery, Christmas, General Gifts, etc, located outside of the Mansion. Such a neat experience seeing and hearing about the history of such a breathtaking place, craftsmanship and prestigious family. A must visit for all ages. Thank you Biltmore, for a wonderful visit.
Noni — Google review
Biltmore is more than just a tourist attraction, its a whole experience! The house & gardens are immaculate & beautiful, decorated for Christmas, the staff & the food are top notch, the winery @ Antler Village was amazing. I had the absolute best time visiting here & I will definitely be coming back.
Sherri K — Google review
A visit to the Biltmore Estate is unlike any other experience in the Asheville area, and once you’ve visited it’s clear why they are synonymous with one another, as they reflect each other in many positive ways. The primary attraction and draw is of course the main house, with it’s spectacle, grandeur, and reputation. In terms of awe, it does not disappoint, and regardless of your architectural or stylistic tastes, there must be an appreciation of the scope and detail for what is truly America’s Largest Home. The history is fascinating, and the walking audio tour is a must. Outside of the house however, is where the true gems of a visit to the Biltmore Estate lie. There is immense natural beauty stretching over the endless acreage and vistas at your disposal, and walk through the gardens and conservatory or a must for any green thumb. Also, the Antler Hill Village shops and winery evoke the sense of a quaint main street hub which would have supplied and supported the massive estate. A drawback is the winery tour and tasting however. It’s expected that certain times of day, certain days of the week, and certain times of the year are likely to have heavier foot traffic and more visitors than others, but if the Biltmore Estate would like us to explore their winery, a first come first serve line for tours has to be wiped out. Visitors should be given the opportunity to schedule tours, and held to those reservation times, much in the same way that visitors are expected and obligated to select and reserve a visit time for the main house. Any visit to the Estate must include the drive through the rolling hills and expansive land which houses the crops and wildlife residing on the grounds. This stands out as the true beauty of the Estate, above the house itself.

Arboretum
Nature & Parks
The North Carolina Arboretum is a public garden located in the Blue Ridge Mountains near the Western North Carolina town of Asheville. The arboretum contains more than 60 acres of carefully cultivated gardens, including one of the most extensive bonsai collections in the United States. The gardens also showcase a variety of flora, including one of the most extensive ericaceous (acid soil-loving) plant collections in the United States.
This was the best part of our mini vacation. All employees are sweet and very nice. They truly appreciate our business and our visit. It truly shows. The gardens and views are also great. Recommend to all young, old and small. Lots of benches for resting if you need it.
Raiders G — Google review
My visit to the Arboretum was absolutely lovely! 🌻The stroll through the gorgeous gardens was so relaxing and refreshing. I love how they’ve managed to find the perfect balance between manicured and wild. There are plenty of spots to relax and well placed restrooms throughout the path. 🌳 To our surprise and delight my friends and I had a close encounter with a precious deer along one of the trails. 🥹Everyone should come and enjoy this little paradise. 🥰 I will definitely return!

If you love nature, Christmas lights, nice people, and plants, this is a must see!! If you are a solo traveler who loves to be outdoors but is concerned about lost or hurt on a trail, this is the best place ever! Well marked trails, emergency call boxes, beautiful gardens and bonsai, Christmas train display, lunch cafe, dulcimer music. educational placards on the trails…plenty of miles of trails with enough safety items that a solo traveler can comfortably enjoy the day and not worry about anything. As a solo traveler, I want to be hiking on the trails in the state parks but realize I could get injured and it would be awhile til I was found, this place had good trails and people and call boxes so I felt like I could hike all day there!! Can’t wait to go back!
CN A — Google review
A lovely park and public gardens! Definitely smaller than we expected but still enjoyable. All the water features were off for the season and a few of the outdoor interactive elements were broken which was disappointing. The signs around the park were very informative and interesting! Our favourite part was definitely the bonsai exhibit. So cool!
Shayanne B — Google review
What a lovely place. Trails throughout the park. We went on the 1st day of the Trolls exhibit, the traffic to get in was way out onto the highway. However, the staff was very organized and it went very smoothly, it took about 15 minutes to get on the property and parked. The Trolls exhibit was outstanding, as is the arboretum property itself. The weather was beautiful, we enjoyed a wonderful day walking the property.

Absolutely loved this place!!!! Visiting from Orlando and was submerged in gods beauty. The bonsai garden was unique and cool to catch. We fortunate enough to experience the gardens in the day and winter lights at night which are mesmerizing. Loved this place

Went here on a whim and it was such a great decision! Absolutely beautiful! Not only did we enjoy strolling the gardens (do NOT miss the bonsai!), we also did a fun, easy hike on the Carolina Mountain Trail. Very convenient to get to right off the Blue Ridge Pkwy. outside downtown Asheville.
Suzanne J — Google review
The North Carolina Arboretum is an absolute gem tucked into the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The grounds are incredibly well-maintained, with a peaceful blend of gardens, wooded trails, and creative exhibits. Whether you are into plants, art, hiking, or just want a relaxing stroll through nature, this place has something for everyone. We loved the variety of themed gardens, especially the bonsai collection—it was stunning and so carefully curated. The trails are well-marked and perfect for all ages and activity levels, whether you are looking for a light walk or a longer hike. The facilities were clean, the staff was friendly, and everything felt thoughtfully put together. It is a great spot to slow down, breathe in the mountain air, and enjoy the peaceful side of western North Carolina. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the Asheville area!

The Southern Highland Craft Guild, Folk Art Center is a must-visit destination for those interested in traditional and modern Southern Appalachian crafts. Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, it serves as part museum, organizational headquarters, and living art workshop. Visitors can explore museum-style exhibitions showcasing various artworks and crafted items while also enjoying live art demonstrations by members of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. Additionally, there's a library and gift shop offering unique handmade items for sale.
I am truly in love with this place. I love all the art and unique items. If you have an appreciation for art, whimsy things, craft, or just history. Definitely come. The upstairs was so lovely. I LOVE the wood carved birds. I recommend getting one, the gentlemen is also so kind and hardworking. I would definitely say, everything is so expensive, but everything’s so nice to look at. The blue Shaw, I will come back for it ONE DAY, I’ve never been so in love. The place was great, the staff was so sweet and friendly. The information was great. The lady at the information desk also, wonderful I adore her. I just so recommend this place.

Lovely time to come visit the Folk Art Center. We visited last winter when NC had been severely damaged from the Hurricane Helene and it is wonderful seeing all of the beautiful crafts on display in the center and seeing the artists who made them. So happy to be able to support local artists and to support the reconstruction of the Blueridge parkway. Thank you for all you do!
Juliet C — Google review
This might be an interesting stop at the start of Blue Ridge Parkway. The exhibits at this center change, and we found some lovely wool works. They were very cute and made us smile. There's a wonderful gift shop, which already had a lot of interesting and truly beautiful Christmas tree decorations in October. I can only imagine what luxurious Christmas tree decorations will appear here in November and early December! We didn't buy anything because the prices were too high for us. But if the prices had been a little lower, I would have left with three or four purchases for sure!

The Folk Art Center in Asheville is a wonderful place to visit, especially if you’re driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We headed north toward the top of the mountain, and the colors were absolutely beautiful. It’s a great time to visit — this weekend was amazing, and the coming weekend should be just as lovely with the fall colors. The place is clean, well-maintained, and offers plenty of free parking. There’s no entry fee, and they even have restrooms available. Inside, you’ll find beautiful handmade crafts and artwork, as well as a few art galleries where you can purchase unique pieces. The lady at the help desk was very kind and helpful — she patiently answered all our questions and explained everything clearly. Overall, it’s a lovely stop with a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of local charm. Definitely worth visiting if you’re exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Anurag K — Google review
I always stop here whenever I’m in the area to see what I can find. Wide variety of gifts for yourself or others with a range of prices. If you have young children, you may want to have one parent walk around with them outside since there are lots of breakable things. There is also a small gift shop for the Blue Ridge Parkway that has some cute things for kids! There are also usually crafters demonstrating their techniques. Lots of parking as well
Heather P — Google review
Outstanding collects of local arts and crafts. Here you will find a bit of everything and many offerings are reasonably priced or unique in style. This place is worth a look and your time. Great for gifts or for your personal collection of goods s.

If you're in the area and you need something to do this would be a great place to stop and explore lots of different exhibits on the folk art of the Blue Ridge Parkway lots of things to look and the way it was set up was planned out well they have a visitor center gift shop and a Folk Art Center gift shop you'll definitely find something interesting here
Lewis K — Google review
The Folk Art Center is one of the stops on the Blue Ridge Parkway. A lot of the Parkway is still closed and this is the last stop at the moment as there are barriers preventing you from going north. The Folk Art Center is free to visit. Sometimes when I visit, you can see people working on their crafts. They were during my most recent visit. The building is accessible for everyone. The first floor has restrooms, the Southern Highlands Craft Guild shop and a Blue Ridge Parkway shop and an information desk. The second floor showcases the art. I love seeing all the different types of art from the quilts to woodworking to basket weaving. I enjoyed the stained glass and a canvas that was woven. It was quite unique. I enjoy the rotating exhibits as it is different each visit. Outside there are some trails if you want to explore nature.

Grove Arcade, a historic building in downtown Asheville, is a must-visit destination for shopping, dining, and exploring. Built almost 100 years ago as the country's first indoor shopping mall, it has been restored to its original grandeur. The first floor houses galleries, restaurants, and shops while the upper floors are home to offices and residences. Throughout its history, Grove Arcade has served various purposes including as a military center during World War II and the National Weather Records Center.
The interior of the building is breathtaking. Definitely worth walking around inside. There are several cute boutiques and unique stores. The upper floor is full of offices. This is a great place for good photos, getting a unique gift, or just to get in the AC while exploring downtown Asheville.
Avery W — Google review
Once called "the most elegant building in America", this is a visually stunning shopping arcade. It's worth wandering around just to enjoy the architecture, and you can take the elevator up a floor to where it's really quiet to enjoy the view from above as well. It's an incredibly impressive and well preserved building, and there was a nice range of shops and boutiques, including some great cake and coffee shops that were worth a stop.
Paul — Google review
It’s a beautiful building, but you can’t access any of the upper floors. And the bottom floor doesn’t have much of anything at all. A few boutiques but that’s it. Don’t let your kids be fooled, the building may be called “arcade” but there is nothing similar to an arcade for kids to play games. The only part interesting about this building is the architecture, not worth stopping off of the Trolley Tour either so don’t waste your time unless you just want to look at the architecture for 2 minutes and walk up and down the street at all of the shops.
Britt L — Google review
If you love architecture and historic buildings, Arcade Grove is a must-see. It is one of the most beautiful structures, complete with spiral staircases, sculptures, and intricate embellishments throughout. Walking through felt like being taken back in time, surrounded by the charm of a true masterpiece. Beyond its beauty, the building also hosts many local small businesses and restaurants, making it both breathtaking and full of life.

Historic architecture and interesting shops make this a priority visit in Asheville! This indoor mall had elegant Christmas decor when I visited mid November. So inviting to walk in and see the sun streaming through the glass roof throughout the building. 🔆 Among the many fine shops, be sure to visit Enter The Earth 📿 💎 for precious rocks and gem jewelry, art pieces and gifts, and Asheville Hat Store 🎩 🧣for hats, homemade knitted & crocheted items, yarn & patterns!
DD S — Google review
Beautiful shopping mall with beautiful architecture. The shopping mall is very small with few shops, but the place looks beautiful. Not much to do in the mall, there are no major flagship stores, but the mall looks wonderful. There are cafes and some specialty stores around the mall, but that’s it. The area around the mall is enjoyable for walking. Parking around the mall isn’t free, and the space is quite difficult to find, even in weekdays.

So beautiful to look at, you have to make time to shop too! The outside wasnt a thrill, but imagine my surprise at the inside. Just wow! The dont make shopping like this anymore

Spanish restaurant
Cocktail bar
Cúrate is a high-end Spanish restaurant and cocktail bar located in Asheville, North Carolina. It has been recognized as one of the top dining establishments in the area, contributing to Asheville's vibrant food scene since its opening in 2011. The restaurant offers a menu featuring a variety of Spanish tapas and European dishes, along with an extensive selection of cocktails. Cúrate is owned by Katie Button, a renowned chef who has received accolades such as the James Beard Award.
I am probably just echoing the masses here, but wow! Every dish was exceptional! Portion sizes are very large. The two of us split 5 and couldn’t finish it all. The bread with tomato and add on manchego was the peak of simple perfection. The eggplant with honey was a delightful surprise of sweet and crispy that could almost pass for dessert. But make no mistake, the cheesecake will be the most amazing discovery. Insanely creamy with a hint of caramel from the edges and tang from the goat cheese, it is hands down the best you will ever have. It is perfect for people who don’t like overly sweet or cloying things at the end of a meal. Our server was knowledgeable and excited to share info about each course. It is a true education in tapas. You will leave very full and so happy. It is worth it!
Emily D — Google review
Stopped in Cúrate for some tapas. I tried a couple small plates (circled on my menu in the pic) they were both amazing and paired well together as suggested by my server who also suggested a great wine pairing. I even got a little desert for my birthday. The place was packed so must mean it’s good!! If you like a tapas experience, you should stop in.
Katiya P — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised with the cuisine. Being a native, one is challenged by a discerning palate and it is tough on the restaurateurs. We had croquetas de jamón, rabas or calamares a la romana, gambas al ajillo, tortilla española, chistorras, fideuá negra, pimientos de piquillo rellenos and more. We went twice as both my friend and I were impressed with the chef's talent. Definitely would return, Not too sure about the Gambas as they were more in a lemon sauce rather than olive oil. BTW the oil there is a connoisseur's delight. Enjoy.
S. D — Google review
It's as good as all the reviews say. A great anniversary dinner with some amazing food - with many local ingredients. All of the tapas were good with some being memorable. The octopus was the best I've ever had. I had a farmers cheese, candied walnut and dill dessert that was simply amazing. I still think about it. Our server was Caroll (spelled that way on the ticket) was incredible. She gave us great recommendations, she knew how everything was prepared and complemented each other, and had stories of how most of the food was sourced. They are the sole importers of a lite buttery Spanish olive oil by a cooperative that is trying to save 100 year old abandoned olive groves in Spain. The table next to us told us they have never seen such an amazing server. The entire staff was excellent, but she was the model of a great server!
Mike F — Google review
The service was above and beyond—everyone was attentive and friendly. The food itself was a bit of a hit or miss depending on what you order. The paella, while flavorful, felt overpriced at $26 considering the portion size. On the other hand, the ham bocadillo at $12 was a much better choice. We shared several dishes to try more of the menu: lomo de bellota, papas bravas, pulpo a la gallega, lamb skewers, and croquetas de jamón. Unfortunately, all of our food arrived at room temperature, which was disappointing since the dishes would’ve tasted much better served hot. Overall, great service and a nice experience, but some dishes stood out more than others.

Kelsey - our server at the bar was amazing! She was so kind, made sure we had the best experience- even brought out some extra sauces- was attentive and took an honest interest in us and provided truly helpful recommendations. Get the tangy sauce!! FOOD- so fresh and beautifully presented! Absolutely delicious and we will be back. It’s season- so highly recommend reservations as they are always packed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cúrate – Asheville, NC We had an incredible dining experience at Cúrate. From the moment we sat down, the energy of the place and the aroma from the open kitchen set the tone for something special. We ordered a variety of tapas to share, and every single one was excellent—beautifully prepared, bursting with flavor, and perfectly portioned for sharing. The mix of traditional Spanish favorites and creative new dishes made it a fun and memorable meal. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us navigate the menu and pair everything just right. With great food, a lively atmosphere, and top-notch hospitality, Cúrate easily ranks as one of Asheville’s must-visit restaurants.

This restaurant was on my bucket list for a long time, based on reviews, so I finally decided to try it this week. Service was great, but the actual food was underwhelming and bland. We tried about 8 different dishes. Even the plating was unimaginative and messy-these pictures are before we even touched the food. At this price point, the food should be a fantastic & memorable experience. This definitely wasn’t it, unfortunately.

Indian restaurant
Chai Pani Asheville is a funky and laid-back restaurant that has gained recognition for its incredible Indian street food. The menu features a variety of chaat, which are Indian street snacks, as well as homestyle platters known as thalis. Many of the dishes are made with chickpea flour, making them lower in gluten than traditional options. However, it's important to note that there is no dedicated fryer, so those with celiac disease should exercise caution.
We had a wonderful dining experience here! The food and ambience were top-notch, making it worth the visit. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait. The Vada Pav and Sabudana Vada Tots were absolutely mouthwatering, and the Bhel Puri was equally delicious. You can get the paid parking just in front of the restaurant.

I visited this restaurant mainly because of all the hype heard about it and was bit surprised to see a long queue forming outside even 10 minutes before the restaurant opened..For drinks we tried the Pineapple Turmeric Soda, Lime Ricky and Tamarind Margarita which were refreshing..For appetizers we ordered Sev puri dahi puri, Aloo tikki chat which were fantastic. Hara Masala Prawns were perfectly grilled and on the spot..In the main course, we had the Butter chicken Thali and Saag paneer thali. Butter chicken and Saag paneer curries were absolutely delicious..Raita and Gulab Jamun were decent but the daal and chole were a little under-seasoned. Overall the food and ambiance were enjoyable!!!

We may have waited 90 mins, but the food was well worth the wait. We headed upstairs to their bar and ordered a couple drinks, as well as Pani Puri from the little station they had. Then once our table was ready, we were able to quickly order. We ordered one appetizer and shared the butter chicken with naan. It was so good, but so much food. The atmosphere and service are top tier, and there was a line of people waiting to be served even at 9 pm. I can't wait to visit Asheville again just to come here.

This place was AMAZING! The ambiance and atmosphere was really festive and fit the overall vibe of the food. We got cardamom old fashions to start, which were unique and delicious. Definitely more depth of flavor than a regular old fashioned. We started with Bhel Puri and okra fries. The Bhel Puri was truly unique, unlike other street foods I've tried. The okra fries, though, were incredible. Crisp, flavorful, and really unique. After that, we shared the butter chicken thali and beef bihari kebab. Both were excellent, but the kebab stole the show. Great charred flavor, savory spices, and just the right portion. All the while the waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Wouldn't change a thing! We waited about an hour and a half on a Saturday night. We didn’t mind and grabbed a beer at Funkatorium which was close by. They send a link for you to follow to see the parties ahead of you, which is helpful. Food was delicious! I included pics of the Sag Paneer and Bhel Puri. The Bhel Puri was especially my favorite. I highly recommend, especially if you love cilantro.

Foodie Post Dinner at Chai Pani in Asheville was an explosion of flavor and color from start to finish 🌶️✨ We started with the famous okra fries — perfectly crisp and seasoned with that addictive masala magic. Then came the bhel puri, bright and tangy with every bite. For mains, the butter chicken and lamb keema pav absolutely stole the show — rich, aromatic, and layered with spice and texture. Every dish felt like a trip through India’s street food stalls, reimagined with Asheville soul. 🌿❤️ If you’re anywhere near downtown, this spot is a must-try for anyone who loves bold, thoughtful food that tells a story. #ChaiPani #AshevilleEats #FoodieAdventures #IndianStreetFood #FoodieFinds #EatLocal #AshevilleRestaurants

Amazing experience! Food is perfectly spiced and flavorful. One of the best authentic Indian flavors we had. Service was beyond great. Ambience was very good with best of Bollywood songs. We ordered jaljeera soda, aloo tikki chaat, chai, dahipuri, and vada pav. Jaljeera soda was too good and electrifying! Dahipuri was great and authentic. Aloo tikki chaat too was very flavorful. Wonderful part, chai came with two Parle-G biscuits!! Vadapav had great taste and more importantly, it had great seasoning on it. I would like to see more vegetarian dishes on the menu. We don't live in Asheville unfortunately, but can't wait to visit again! Highly recommended!! Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 5/5

Located in Biltmore Village, the Corner Kitchen is housed in a charming 118-year-old Victorian cottage with an outdoor patio. This upscale restaurant offers New American cuisine and craft cocktails, emphasizing farm-to-table dining with fresh ingredients from local North Carolina farmers. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week, it serves modern twists on southern comfort food in an intimate setting. Due to its proximity to Biltmore Estate, reservations are recommended as it tends to be busy.
Corner Kitchen is truly one of Asheville’s gems. Housed in a beautiful 120-year-old home in historic Biltmore Village, this restaurant has been a staple since 2004 — and with good reason. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the Southern-inspired menu never disappoints. Favorites like the Chicken & Waffles (with egg and gravy), Corned Beef Hash, and French Toast are the kind of dishes that keep you coming back. Don’t miss the Bacon Cheddar Tots — crispy, indulgent, and packed with flavor. From breakfast to brunch, lunch to dinner, everything here is crafted with care. After their temporary closure, it’s wonderful to see Corner Kitchen open again and thriving. They’re not just serving food — they’re helping bring energy and spirit back to Biltmore Village. Highly recommend making a reservation and enjoying one of Asheville’s most iconic dining experiences.

This was our first visit to Corner Kitchen, but the manager and hostess made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, giving a great table in a small area in front of the kitchen where we could watch plates being prepped. I started with the Chengazi oysters (think Chinese orange chicken but with fried oysters!), which were absolutely wonderful, while my wife had a great mushroom Wellington. For our main course, we had the halibut special, with me choosing the normal preparation with a panko crab crust, and my wife opting for a simpler sear with herbs. Both were excellent and paired with with our bottle of Gavi di Gavi. We ended our meal with creme brûlée of the day, in this case Grand Marnier. Overall service was excellent and the food was wonderful. We'll definitely return on our next visit to Asheville.

What a cute, warm little restaurant! This area was hit really hard a year ago by the hurricane and they are all struggling to rebuild. Many places in this village area have not reopened. We stopped in here for breakfast before our Biltmore Estate tour. So happy we did! Our server was great, our food was good and we felt warm and cozy and seen. I hope these businesses are able to bounce back eventually because this was a nice place and a nice area. Go to the Corner Kitchen and give them some business! The coffee was good and the Bloody Mary was great. My biscuits and gravy were just what I wanted on a cold, rainy day! Corner Kitchen. Go. Eat. Enjoy! Oh!! And look for the picture with the little placard on the wall that says This High. That's how high the waters rose during the hurricane in 2024.

Great, in every way. Greeted plesantly. Seated Quickly. Attended to quickly. The Server knew every detail on the menu and was eager to recommend tastefully. Quality, superior. After a few days of wonderful dinning in the foodie capital of North Carolina, Ashville, we had saved the best for last. Five people and four different selections we all agreed each dish was the best we had ever been served. If Brunch can be this good, imagine what a fine dinner will be. We all plan to eagerly return to the "Corner Kitchen" for dinner.

We’ve been twice and both times left feeling like our experience doesn’t match the high star rating that this has in reviews. The staff is friendly but not overly attentive - I’d say did the bare minimum to consider the service good. Generally the food was okay, but nothing stand out both times. The best dish we had was the deviled eggs, which I actually would recommend if you’re going.

Make sure you get the pimento cheese tater tots, corn and crab soup very good. Eggs Benedict was amazing but don’t leave without getting The Vanderbilt martini!! Oh the white chocolate bread pudding, yes, yes, yes!!

So adorable! This old house turned restaurant was charming and the food was delicious. We sat out on the patio. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich and it perfect. The fries were also especially good! It's nice to see places start to open back up here in the village at the entrance to the Biltmore.

From the other side of Mt Pisgah we came back for our 1st time since Helene's devastation. Josh... our server greeted us with all smiles and shared the specials. It's the second time here and another phenomenal experience. The food... absolute perfection. Some type of amazing donuts... oysters over a bed of arugula and an entree of shrimp and grits. Josh brings the best service and the chef and staff made what I'd imagine is what perfection tastes like. Food and an atmosphere... that surely will be a favorite to you as well.

First full day of exploring Asheville and we stopped here for lunch. Placed was packed and we didn’t have reservations, but thankfully there was a cancellation and we got right in! James our server was so nice and friendly! We’ve seen good things on YouTube about this place and it did not disappoint. We ate the biscuits before I could get a photo, but they were a great starter along with the fried green tomatoes! Our meals were all delicious and my wife loved her specialty moonshine martini! Thanks!

Fun place to have cocktails and food. Met clients here for dinner and we sat on the patio. Watching the people walk around the square was as much fun as the meal. My clients choose chicken tenders and the sweet & spicy chicken and waffles, I chose the whiskey and onion smash burger. Also had an order of the fried pickles Portions are good, the food was all delicious. The sweet & spicy chicken had a nice kick with flavor not just heat. The pickles were super crispy and the burger juicy with a bit of a smoky flavor from the whisky. Service was quick, friendly and fun.

This place.was busy and noisy. The atmosphere was fun. I liked the look inside and outside patio dining area. We ordered the fried chicken which was ok. The Brussels sprouts were ok. The fried okra was ok. The service was good.

We arrived for a late Saturday evening dinner. The atmosphere is phenomenally inviting and indicative of a country kitchen. The service was well above part despite it being a busier than expected late night for the waitstaff. The hostess stand and line to be seated however leaves something to be desired, and that process should be improved. We arrived with a reservation and several other diners that arrived after us without reservations were sat before us. That was the only blip on an otherwise very enjoyable dinner. The menu was varied and provided good portions and value. We sampled over a half dozen different main and side dishes. Standouts included the sweet potato pancake, the crispy brussels and the smothered chicken. Also, the biscuits with a variety of butters and jams were an amazing introduction, and also benefit the Hurricane Helene relief effort. The standout of the show however was the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Far and away the best tomato soup we’ve ever had, even if you’re not a fan of the dish, it’s worth a try. We would revisit again.

The staff at Tupelo were amazing on what seemed like a very busy Sunday evening. Everyone was pitching in to clear tables, get guests seated, and treated everyone with a welcoming disposition. Food was amazing too! Great service, great food, and great atmosphere!

I came here on my birthday looking at the many reviews but was utterly disappointed! I am not sure if this was lack of service or skills or plain racism because tables beside us were being served pretty well and respectfully. We didn’t feel welcomed from the get go. At the end of the day, they aren’t offering a free meal. Absolutely sad and disgraceful to see such racist behavior in 2025! Do better! First impression - restaurant looks a bit dated, however that can be overlooked. The smell of fried food is everywhere and is stuck to the clothes and came out smelling like a fried chicken. Please get a better exhaust! Was sat at a table but we were ignored for more than 25 minutes with no service. No water for the table. Appetizer arrived 15 minutes later - fried tomatoes - it was good. Still No water offered despite reminder. Mains arrived - Asheville hot chicken and chicken tenders - again it was good. No water offered again. The waiter for our table only stopped by once to get the food in. The tables around us were well tended to, because they were white ? Never again! I am going give my money to a racist business!

We had a really great meal at Tupelo Honey! We had a group of 9 so I made reservations. We were immediately seated when we arrived. We had a great server. He told us the best items on the menu. Several of us shared a few dishes. The dusted honey chicken was outstanding. So juicy, but then the flavor from the outside was fantastic. Fried green tomatoes, shrimp & grits, and the biscuits were some of our other favorites. It's loud and energetic in the restaurant, but there are spaces you could be seated if you want it a little quieter.

The wait staff was exceptional. The food was fantastic & would have received 5 stars except that the soup for both of us was less than optimal temperature & had to be reheated. I wish I had ordered the bowl instead of the cup!

We absolutely cannot get over how INCREDIBLE our experience here was. We were hungry and thirsty and have talked about how this was one of the best meals ever. Our server Jeremiah was the BEST, he had amazing service, kindness, and was truly the reason we had such an awesome time. He understood us and made sure we were having a great time. The food was great, so many vegan options, and our drinks were perfect. I had an awesome tofu scramble and vegan sausage. Best time at the Early Girl Eatery!!

Great brunch spot in Asheville! Visited on the 4th of July around 11:30 AM, surprisingly calm and no long wait. Service was friendly and efficient. The spinach potato pancakes with tomato sauce were incredible, truly unique! Potatoes were tasty but slightly cold. Coffee was decent, a bit acidic but still enjoyable. The only downside was the ambience in the back felt a bit empty and cold. The brick walls are nice, but the space could shine with local art instead of generic decor. Still, the food makes it worth the visit!

Early Bird was amazing! Their menu choices made it very hard to make a decision so we got several dishes and shared them. The goat cheese omelet was amazing and the hot honey chicken sandwich was to die for. We met the manager Randy and he shared the history and how dietary friendly the restaurant is to so many special dietary needs. He brought us their delicious biscuit French toast which I did not think we could taste anything better than what we just had until we put that in our mouth. It was truly like tasting heaven. I highly recommend not missing the Early Girl Eatery

We visited Early Girl Eatery for brunch while visiting from Chicago and the absolute highlight of our experience was Randy. I can 100% see why he’s the manager, you all made an amazing choice putting him in that role. Our original waitress, the one with the purple and black hair, was fine, but Randy completely elevated our visit. He personally checked in on us, made sure we were fully accommodated and carried himself with the kind of professionalism and warmth that truly stands out. To be honest, Randy is the entire reason I’m giving this place five stars. His attention and care made us feel genuinely welcomed and he turned a simple brunch into a memorable experience. Every restaurant needs a Randy.

I really wanted to like it and was really looking forward to eating there but french toast biscuits were served at room temperature. The plate looked gorgeous and I think if it had been warm I would have enjoyed it more. My date said his omelet was pretty good but his home fries were also cold. There were so many things on the menu that looked delicious and I wanted to try but I would hate to be disappointed again.

My Yam Scram was amazing! Well seasoned and balanced with fresh scallions. The yams were also cooked to the perfect tenderness. Props to our attentive and friendly server, Athena!

Hidden gem alert — Asheville, you sly fox. On our 20th anniversary trip to Asheville—revisiting the haunts of our early years—we set out for brunch at a “popular” spot down the road. Forty-minute wait, zero greeting, and full-blown chaos. Hard pass. We weren’t about to spend our milestone morning standing shoulder-to-shoulder with hangry strangers. So we wandered a block or two away…and walked straight into brunch heaven. We were immediately greeted by a true Southern gentleman. The manager was charming, calm, and unbothered by the Saturday brunch madness. We even scored a six-top on the patio (yes, a six-top). I know—bold request. He didn’t flinch. The wait was only 10 minutes. The patio was peak Asheville: fresh air, a local busker providing the soundtrack, and the smell of actual happiness drifting from the kitchen. And the food? Let me say this clearly: I had the best gravy of my life. I had plenty on my Charleston biscuit… and still ordered a side of “extra gravy for personal reasons.” The breakfast potatoes didn’t stand a chance. The coffee was strong and righteous, and the creamsicle mimosa? A tiny celebration in a glass. If you can, get a seat on the patio. It’s worth the tiny wait. This place made me feel like a local who had just found the spot. Skip the trendy tourist traps with their hour-long lines and existential dread. Follow the music, follow the delicious smells, and head down the adorable little side street. Your stomach will send you a thank-you note later.
