Nature & Parks
Riverfront Park, the site of the 1974 World's Fair, is a 100-acre oasis in Spokane that offers a blend of natural beauty and urban attractions. The park features iconic landmarks such as the clock tower, giant wagon, building blocks, and the world fair tent. Families can enjoy picnics by the river and entertainment for kids while taking leisurely walks. A recent addition to the park is the ice ribbon that provides a unique experience around Downtown Spokane.
Iconic, Scenic, and Full of Photo-Worthy Moments – A Must-Visit in Spokane Riverfront Park is a spacious and beautifully designed urban park that offers a wide variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. From unique playgrounds and sculptures to multiple waterfalls, bridges, and scenic photo backdrops, there’s something to explore around every corner. One of our favorite features was the upper waterfall, which offers a dramatic view, especially from the large bridge that makes for the perfect photo opportunity. There are several bridges throughout the park, each offering different angles and perspectives of the falls and river. While some areas have limited shade, the park is ideal for a leisurely stroll, and the natural beauty combined with art installations makes it a must-see for anyone visiting Spokane. The lower waterfalls are smaller but still charming, and the park’s iconic views help capture the essence of the city. Another perk? The shopping mall right next to the park. On a hot day, it was a great place to cool off with full AC, grab a drink, and enjoy its modern, clean design. We especially appreciated the thoughtful lighting fixtures, photo spots, and how open and stylish it felt—definitely not your typical mall layout. Even better, My Fresh Basket—a health-focused grocery store—is conveniently located nearby. It’s a fantastic option if you want to grab fresh, organic food or snacks without eating out, especially for those on the go or watching their diet. With plenty of street parking and mall parking available, Riverfront Park is incredibly accessible and well worth the visit. Whether you’re there for the waterfalls, the photo ops, or just a peaceful walk, this park truly captures the heart of Spokane.

Riverfront Park is absolutely beautiful — the waterfalls are stunning, and the gondola ride gives you amazing views of the river and city. It’s a perfect spot for walking, relaxing, and taking pictures. The only downside is that there are too many homeless people around, which can make certain areas feel uncomfortable. Other than that, it’s a must-visit for the scenery and attractions.
Ifrat H — Google review
We hung out at Riverfront Park on a Thursday evening and had an awesome time! Rented some Lime scooters and cruised around as the sun was setting — such a pretty time to be there. The park has great views and a really nice atmosphere. I only had a short time to explore, but it seems like there’s a lot more to do, so I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend stopping by or spending an evening here if you’re in Spokane!

Riverside Park has been great to visit every time we’ve gone. Even though there are people living on the streets downtown, the city has done a really good job keeping the park itself feeling safe and welcoming for visitors and kids — which is so appreciated these days. The park is always clean, beautifully maintained, and full of fun things to do: walking paths, open green spaces, water views, playgrounds, and plenty of spots to explore. It’s lively without feeling crowded, and we’ve consistently had positive experiences here. A wonderful place to spend an afternoon as a family.
Savanah E — Google review
The park is a lively and picturesque destination, brimming with a variety of activities, captivating artwork, and meticulously maintained gardens and pathways that showcase breathtaking views of the landscapes and waterfalls. Security is readily available for your peace of mind. However, be aware that parking near the park is limited, with fees starting at $5.

This is a great spot to check out in the middle of the city. Nice easy walking. Lots of stuff to see for everyone of all ages. History about the city. Play ground for kids. Water fountain to cool off by. Large out door cable structure, music venue Old vintage bridges over the amazing, multiple level falls on the river. A must see

Beautiful Park! Thoroughly enjoyed walking through and taking in all the beautiful scenery. Very clean and well maintained. So much to see and do. Fun for kids! Our kids loved the unique playground and red wagon slide. Keep your eye out for yellow bellied marmots on the rocky areas near the river. They are so cute!
Stacie P — Google review
Riverfront Park is very cute! Has decent pathways and views! There's access to the river where a few locals fish. A few grass patches where you can set a blanket down and have a picnic or just chill! A couple of landmarks and where the Garbage Goat is also located!

Manito Park, a 78-acre park opened in 1904, is a stunning outdoor recreation and leisure area in Spokane. The park features various gardens such as rose, lilac, formal, and native plant gardens along with a picturesque pond. With its immaculately tended terrain spanning 90 acres, including an arboretum, conservatory, and botanical gardens named after the Algonquin word "manitou," meaning fundamental life force animating all things.
Have always loved this park. Ample areas to walk throughout. They really did a good job with cleaning up the pond too. You can see the beneficial plants on the bottom. They do wonders to keep the water clear. Great place to take a walk, run, a bike ride, and enjoy the great scenery.
Jakob Z — Google review
“Absolutely Stunning Park – A Must Visit in Spokane!” I can’t say enough good things about Manito Park! The gardens are breathtaking—each one feels like stepping into a different world. The Rose Garden is so vibrant and colorful, the Japanese Garden is incredibly peaceful, and the Duncan Garden looks straight out of Europe with its perfectly designed symmetry. I loved wandering around the walking paths and taking in the beautiful landscaping—everything is so well cared for. The Gaiser Conservatory was also a treat, with unique plants and flowers you don’t see every day. What makes this park extra special is that it’s completely free, making it such a gem for locals and visitors alike. Whether you want to take photos, enjoy a picnic, or just relax and breathe in nature, this is the perfect spot. I’d highly recommend visiting in spring or summer when everything is in full bloom, but honestly, it’s gorgeous year-round. Definitely a 5-star experience! 🌿🌸🌹

Manito Park is pure magic! 😍 Absolutely loved everything — it’s so beautiful, you can’t stop staring at the flowers, trees, and ponds. Total fairytale vibes! The atmosphere is so cozy, like a hug for your soul. The park is perfectly maintained, with spots to chill, snap pics, or just soak in the nature. Amazing for family walks or solo escapes. I’ll be back a million times and recommend it to everyone! Spokane, you nailed it!

An absolutely gorgeous park, lovely enough for a movie set. There is an annual garden, a perennial garden, a conservatory of inside plants that you can look at early in the day when it's open, an Oriental garden that also has limited hours, and a beautiful pond with a nice walking path around it. There are also sports courts, walking trails, and at least one really nice playground.
Ballaurena13 — Google review
My first visit to Manito Park was in the Fall of 2004 when my husband and I were newlyweds. After many moves to different states and several years later, life brought us back to where our lives began together in Spokane. We love visiting the many gardens as a family with our sons. My husband and I visited the Rose Garden together a couple years ago in October. The rose blooms were plentiful and spectacular in the middle of October! It was such a peaceful experience. We visited Duncan Gardens on my Birthday in July this year and just recently this past weekend we visited the Japanese Gardens. I find so much joy simply being in nature and there is so much beauty to appreciate in Manito Park. It’s so peaceful and beautiful. I always enjoy seeing people enjoying the park and gardens as well. It’s a great place to be and visit anytime of year! Walking down Manito Boulevard and around the park on the pathways during the Fall with the golden leaves everywhere is amazing! I love it so much and the best part is it’s always free to visit!! Manito Park has always been a beautiful blessing full of joyful memories for my family.

Fantastic park - Spokane is truly lucky to have this place. Multiple gardens to walk through and the care and upkeep effort really shows. Duncan gardens is a grand landscape of flowers, with a conservatory attached. Incredible amount of species inside this building. Rose garden was our favorite- incredible how many different roses can be found here. The Japanese garden was beautiful as well. Hard to believe this is all free- I have paid to enter botanical gardens that don’t come close to this. So many enjoyable walking paths, benches and shade can found throughout the park. There was a cafe as well! Parking could be a problem where you want it- but numerous small lots exist around the park.
Paul P — Google review
Stunning! It feels like what I imagine stepping into a European garden would be like. Perfect place for a photo shoot! It's so grand and colorful and made me feel instantly happy and lighter. I wish I'd gotten an overview pic but I mostly took close ups!
Bex G — Google review
Wow! What an awesome park! There are some great playground areas, a small lake and a very beautiful flower garden. There is also a solarium with tropical and dessert plants. There are walking paths and several parking spaces throughout the park to provide ease of use. There are probably several restroom areas but the one we found was attached to the solarium. I would love to revisit in various seasons.

Museums
The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture, affectionately known as the MAC, is a vibrant hub that beautifully intertwines regional history with art and culture. This eclectic museum offers visitors an immersive experience through its diverse permanent collection, which features textiles, paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures. The MAC not only highlights the rich heritage of American Indians but also embraces contemporary creativity with rotating exhibitions and traveling displays across its five galleries.
The staff here are always very friendly and helpful. The samurai exhibit was amazing and the Campbell house was set up beautifully. I can’t wait to go back! Also tickets were very affordable and I believe kids get in for free.
Sarah S — Google review
The museum is much more expansive than it seems from the outside, featuring three levels in the main building, a charming art gallery, and the historic Campbell house along with its carriage house. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged and brilliantly lit, weaving together captivating narratives of history, culture, and change. If you find yourself in Spokane, this is an absolute must-visit! You certainly won’t be disappointed, and the admission fee is quite reasonable at just $15 for adults.
Justin B — Google review
For years "The MAC" has been a place my family and I have enjoyed visiting periodically and they never cease to disappoint. With the newest addition to our family, my wife and I took advantage of the Bank of America Museum days offer and ventured to the latest showcase. It was just so beautifully done and incredibly unique learning about the indigenous origin stories of a First Nations group in British Columbia. The art was superb and story telling very involved and thoughtfully showcased. It's a peaceful museum that regularly has exhibits suitable for the family. We toured the Campbell House while we were at it and love how well they have restored and preserved the history of Spokane and it's architecture. It's certainly worth a visit any day any time of the year and we'll continue to come for years.
David ( — Google review
Definitely do some research about what’s on display before you go and check for any other closures. We visited earlier in 2025 and the basement of the Campbell House was closed for repair and they were in the middle of redoing one of the main exhibits in the museum. We were offered a rain check to come back for the Campbell House but not the main museum. Word of warning-the rain checks are printed on receipt paper and are heat sensitive. I kept it in the car so we would have it when we returned but after hot Spokane summers, the paper had just turned black. Also, the Campbell House doesn’t open at the same time as the museum so if you want to see both, check the hours ahead of time. We did go back this past weekend and were able to see everything we missed the first time around. They do a great job of showcasing everything.
Tricia M — Google review
I really enjoyed discovering this gem of a museum while exploring Spokane. There are some nice permanent exhibits they chronicle the local indigenous peoples. In addition, the museum produces high-quality traveling exhibits like the Samurai and photography exhibits on display when I visited.

Had a wonderful time visiting NMAC and artfest today. The Campbell house was amazing too! Lots to see and learn. The $5 entrance fee was definitely worth it. A must visit!

Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of downtown Spokane, Spokane Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its stunning beauty. This iconic landmark is surrounded by a sprawling 100-acre park, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and exploration. The falls consist of two distinct tiers—the Upper Falls and Lower Falls—each offering unique perspectives of the rushing water as it cascades through the city.
This is a great place for a rest stop when traveling. The Spokane Falls are right next to a city park. It is clean and safe to walk around.

Beautiful riverfront area around falls. Lots of parking options. We road our bikes around all the trails that meandered back and forth across the falls. Very nice area to spend a day. Many food options nearby as well

The waterfalls and immediate surrounding area are nice and the view is lovely but just tons of druggies everywhere.... It gets really bad about 2 blocks away where every street corner has people drugged up and some walking around on fentinol bent over like zombies... Totally creeped out not safe. We went at about 730-9am...

This was truly a memorable place to visit! Riverfront park is an amazing place to plan a family outing. The perfect mix of nature and city. There's a variety of dining options in the area. The many easily accessible paths allow visitors different angles of the falls. If you're looking for an up close view, consider taking the Numerica SkyRide! It's a budget friendly purchase and offer military and senior discounts, as well as group discounts. The line wasn't long and they were really efficient getting riders on and off. On the ride, there's audio of history with lots of great information to learn about. The only downside is inconsiderate guests who litter and parking is something that you'll definitely have to plan ahead of time. Overall a great experience! Please remember to keep our beautiful public areas clean and enjoy the beautiful views!

State park
Nature & Parks
Riverside State Park spans 14,000 acres of woodlands along the Spokane River, offering a variety of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and off-roading. It is easily accessible from Spokane and requires a Washington state park discover pass for parking. The park features numerous hiking trails with scenic views of the river and lake areas. Visitors can enjoy walking, mountain biking, and camping in well-kept grounds with options for full hook-ups.
Great easy loop trail plenty of parking and amazing views. You need the Discover pass to park. The trail is very easy to walk, the views are spectacular and is a very quiet place to gather your thoughts. We got there about 8 15 am and it was deserted but by 1000 am it got crowded. Porto John's and regular bathroom facilities are available at the parking lot. I highly recommend this location.

Have food for eating, and hot tea than take ride of hiking and than have 30 minutes sleep while hearing the river sound what relaxing experiences.

We attended an AERC endurance ride and camped with horses at the airstrip. The trail system here is quite remarkable. Many multi use trails with a variety of views and technicalities. We really enjoyed our ride (30 miles) and are already considering visiting again on our own. There was a new shelter with picnic tables. Bring your own shade and water in the summer. The weekend we were there, the water was turned off.

We stayed downtown at Ruby River Hotel. It's right on the Centennial Trail, & they allow ebikes in your room. The first day we went East, it was interesting, but no great. The second day we traveled west, a very interesting ride. We stopped for lunch part way, then rode to the military cemetery and back to the hotel. The trail was great, riding thru beautiful residential areas, thru some lightly forested areas above the river. About 20 miles? The 3rd day we drive to the military cemetery then ride to 9 Mile Falls, we enjoyed lunch at the riverside park, and then back. About 24 miles? The 3rd day was one of the best days I've had in quite a while. Staying downtown allowed us to walk to shopping and dinners, overall our trip was amazing!
Chuck M — Google review
Lots of hiking trails even a wooden bridge to cross the Spokane river as it rushes below you. Picuresk vistas and equestrian opportunities. If your passing through don't even think about missing this amazing park.
Daniel H — Google review
Wonderful fall color. Gun range destroyed the quiet.
Wendell C — Google review
So close to the city and easy to access. So many miles of hiking trails makes for a new hike every time you visit. Bring your Washington state park discover pass though. 33 dollars a year is a bargain to access this park and every other state park. You can also purchase a pass for the day at the park for 10 dollars. Kiosks are available for that purpose. I go year round, highly recommend taking the kids out or bring the dog.
Daniel P — Google review
I live in Walla Walla and this place is always worth the drive to Spokane. Hardly anyone there. You need a discover pass to park at the trail head campground but there's a turnout a half mile before where the view is gorgeous and it connects to the main trail so I never pay. Also worth noting. Don't get confused by the fact that there are two parks, one on each side. I always put in the one that has the suspension bridge and do my exploring on that side. The other side of the river I believe there's a park of some sort bit these are all from the campground side. There's lots of trails if you cross the bridge and explore and the trail on the same side of the campground goes downriver and is really pretty

Pizza restaurant
The Flying Goat is a popular pizza place in Spokane known for its Neapolitan pies and wide selection of beers and wines. The industrial-cool setting features a patio with a fire pit, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delicious food and drinks. The menu offers unique options like the Meenach meatball sandwich and Roskelley dumplings, in addition to their renowned regional pizzas.
My go to when I'm craving a certain pizza, "The Kiernan" One of my favorite places to hit up in my neighborhood. Low key, friendly atmosphere, delicious artisan crafted pizza. Most menu items are named after the local neighborhood streets. Friendly service, great rotating craft beers! 🍕🍺
Angie E — Google review
Visit: Lunch Special and Wings | Ordered: La Crosse Pizza (olive oil base, chicken sub), small Caesar salad, 6pc Buffalo wings with hot sauce We visited Flying Goat after a glowing recommendation from a friend who described it as the place for pizza and wings in Spokane. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite match the hype. ⸻ 🍕 Pizza – Great Crust, Disappointing Toppings I ordered the La Crosse pizza with an olive oil base and substituted chicken for the Italian sausage. I typically avoid tomato sauce, so I appreciated the menu flexibility. However, the chicken tasted processed, like deli meat, and the sweet peppers overpowered the dish. I ended up scraping most of the toppings off and enjoying the pizza for its olive oil, melted cheese, and surprisingly excellent crust—chewy, flavorful, and easily the highlight. I even dipped the crust in ranch and sprinkled red pepper flakes to give it more punch. ⸻ 🍗 Wings – Dry & Lacking Flavor We also got the 6-piece Buffalo wings, which were lukewarm and noticeably dry. The sauce leaned too heavily on vinegar and lacked depth or richness. The temperature issues didn’t help—they felt like they had been sitting for a while before being served. ⸻ 🥗 Salad – Simple but Serviceable The small salad was fresh and basic. I ended up using the ranch dressing from the salad as a dip for the pizza crust. ⸻ 🌡️ Food Temperature – The Dealbreaker The biggest disappointment was that both the pizza and wings arrived barely warm. For oven-baked pizza, I really value that steamy, fresh-from-the-oven contrast—crusty on the outside, soft and hot inside. That magic was completely missing. ⸻ 🌤️ Service & Ambience – A Silver Lining The service was warm and polite, and we appreciated being able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sunshine and breeze. It made the meal more enjoyable, even if the food didn’t live up to expectations. ⸻ 💰 Value – Reasonable, But Not Compelling The lunch special (~$13.50) is fair for the portion size. But if you care about ingredient quality and food freshness, this may not hit the mark. ⸻ 🚫 Bottom Line: We wouldn’t return, but if you’re looking for a casual, quick lunch and don’t mind lukewarm food, this might still work for you. Just temper expectations, especially if you’re a foodie or sensitive to ingredient quality like I am.
April L — Google review
Very tasty food, chill vibes and decor , fast service. They are super accommodating with customizing their preset menu choices. Focaccia was good and tasty, d street and Cora varieties of pizza both tasted great. Good quantity, good flavors, recommended for some yummy thin crust pizza if you are in the area. They need ids to sit in the bar seating area and soft copies not working is a bummer though.
Anushka B — Google review
Our little league baseball team decided to choose the flying goat for lunch in between games. The moment we arrived, we were met with rude, argumentative servers, and management who did not like our group being patrons. We simply wanted to sit together and happened to be on the patio. They chastised us for attempting to combine tables, they refused to allow the last family that arrived to join us and kept them inside. Then when a table opened up, they refused to seat them outside because they had been forced to order food inside. After we got all our orders in, the manager came out and said our food had been taken care of but we all were being kicked out. Our entire baseball team. With 2 hours before our next game. We were respectful, and courteous, and they couldn’t handle a large crowd. They were visibly flustered, and wanted to keep tables open “in case” they had customers come in. Didn’t even get to try the food. Horrible service. Horrible for large groups. Rigid and not flexible. Rude, with an air of entitlement. Avoid this establishment until they learn that service is the most important part of owning a restaurant.

Went out to eat here after seeing how many great reviews this place had and it definitely lived up to the hype. We were in town only for a couple of days and since it was so delicious and a GREAT price we went there for the second night! We shared a pizza, half Waikiki, half Cora. Absolutely AMAZING!! We did like that we could order half pizzas. We also ordered level 3 wings; they weren’t spicy for us but had great flavor. The second night we upped it to level 5. The waitress was kind and told us the kitchen was missing one ingredient for it but they could do level 4 and try to make it as spicy as possible. They came out delicious and it was nice to know they make the sauce from scratch for each order. My husband also enjoyed the Cider. Great flavor, atmosphere, and service.

Clinkerdagger is a classic steakhouse that has been a Spokane landmark since 1974. It offers traditional American cuisine, including quality steaks and innovative seafood dishes. The restaurant's location provides stunning views of the Spokane River and the city skyline, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date or special occasion. With over 40 years of history, Clinkerdagger has become a beloved favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Our first time at Clinkerdaggers was exceptional. We started with the artichoke and crab dip and the French onion soup. Topped it off with the 16oz prime rib and shrimp and crab fettuccine. On a side note after the appetizers we were full. Next time we will skip one or the other. Greg our waiter did a wonderful job and added to our positively experience.

This place is exactly what you want.. and expect.. for a amazing night out!! From the Food to the atmosphere the buzz of the restaurant spinning around you amazing 👏 Bravo to the team. I'm always impressed when a wait staff gets put under pressure and you see thier responds. The wait staff we got the pleasure of having you could tell had a very very busy night and was a master in what she does!! I highly recommend this amazing restaurant!! But first make a reservation, check and know parking before you get there and the location of the main entrance to the restaurant. You will have an amazing night!!

Without reservations it was easy to get a table for one, with a good view of the Spokane river. I ordered coconut shrimp and it was not good. The battar had no flavor and the sauce it came with didn't help with how bland the dish was. I had to ask for salt because of it. Then I ordered prime rib at the same time but it took almost an hour for it to get to the table, and when it arrived everything on the plate was room temperature. I've been to this restaurant a few times before but it was always in groups and never had a problem, so maybe a lone diner is a bother? The server was nice but he was quick and attentive the most when I was cashing out. I would return for the beautiful views and historical environment but will make sure I'm not dining alone. Prime rib was cooked rare as I ordered and it was enjoyable.

King Salmon (blackened) with couscous & green beans was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🧯👨‍🚒🚒🎆🎇 so good! I also had the Key Lime pie which was amazing. I was a solo and sat in the bar area after waiting less than 10min. It was very busy and I overheard people looking for a table outside the bar area having a 2hr wait. Definitely seems like a place where you should make a reservation! It was after dark but I noticed they also have nice water views from the dining room. Service was good. And food came out in a reasonable time. (Pics a red tinted from the lighting in the bar area)

Fam and I have been going here for years. Never disappoints our pallets! This time around I did do the lunch special with chowder for an appetizer, their new dish salmon stuffed with crab and artichoke is definitely a repeat order for me! If you like their crab and artichoke dip appetizer you will enjoy this dish! Kinda felt like I cheated. lol received two dishes in one. Plus their raspberry molten chocolate cake. It was good but not so molten goodness. I like a good oowy gooey middle. This one missed it though. Nevertheless this won’t prevent us from coming again. lol we actually ate there with whole fam after the Lindsey Stirling concert on Saturday too. Between our wonderful service from Tina on Monday and Taylor last Saturday not to mention good ol Mr. Vincent himself. Thank you for serving delicious meals and the ambiance we will be repeat customers for life.

Steak house
Churchill's Steakhouse, located on South Post Street, is an elegant restaurant and lounge that specializes in dry-aged steaks, as well as offering a variety of seafood options and fine wines. The establishment provides a world-class steakhouse experience with refined table linens and live piano music in the basement bar every night. The restaurant has received numerous industry awards and has been recognized for its exceptional dining experience.
My husband and I had a wonderful celebratory dinner at Churchill’s. The professional hospitality we received was truly exceptional. Our server, Shawn, went above and beyond by explaining each cut of beef to us physically. We learned so much about the different cuts and their unique characteristics. I opted for the Fillet Mignon, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. My husband chose the pan-seared Sea Bass, which was the best fish I’ve ever had. Everything on the menu was simply delicious and exceeded our expectations. The rest of the staff, particularly the manager, was attentive and respectful, ensuring that our experience was truly memorable without being intrusive. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience.

Great service, good vibes—but the food didn’t quite leave a lasting impression. Churchill’s is definitely a solid staple to have in the city. The ambiance is classy, and the service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. The food? It was good, but not exactly memorable. The filet was fine, but didn’t wow me. On the other hand, the lamb chops were the standout—flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. The crab cakes were the standout of the meal! Fresh and deliciously crafted. If you’re looking for a reliable spot with great service and a classic steakhouse feel, Churchill’s fits the bill. It may not be a culinary revelation, but it’s a safe bet for a polished night out.

I am not stranger to fine dining, and simply put, this was one of the better dining experiences ive had in a pretty long time. I had been recommended Churchill's by a group of friends who had been there last year. They said it was very exclusive, so I made a reservation. The process of getting a table was very easy. They were moderately busy, but it was a non-issue. I enjoyed the decor very much. It had a very rustic, "old-country" feel to it. Everything was varnished wood, and made me feel very welcome. The obvious best part was the food. I began with a salad which was very good. I could tell they used fresh ingredients. But the reason I came was the steak, and I was very impressed. Simply put, it melted in my mouth. I asked for it rare, and it came out nearly blue-rare, but the taste was so rich, I overlooked it. Id also like to mention their extensive wine list and their very helpful waitstaff who was able to recommend a wine and scotch combination for my food that didn't break the bank. Overall, I had a very positive experience here. It was a little expensive, but you get extremely good value for your money. Id give Churchill's 5 stars and recommend it to anybody in the Spokane area looking for an elegant meal.

The steak was perfectly charred and delicious, the snails were fun to try, and the espresso martini was great. It’s a little pricey, but the dessert for his birthday was such a nice touch. The staff was friendly and made the night feel special.

Our server was fun and professional. He was very knowledgeable about the steaks and made the experience that much even more memorable for our family. And of course, the food is insanely delicious! Highly recommend any of the steaks and the cougar, gold, macaroni and cheese!

Churchill’s Steakhouse unquestionably serves some of the finest food in Spokane. The quality of the cuisine is outstanding, and it is clear the chef is both talented and passionate about his craft. The steaks in particular were exceptional, and on that basis alone, Churchill’s easily stands apart as the premier steakhouse in the city. The risotto was cooked to perfection, the Cougar Gold mac and cheese is a must-have and a perfect complement to the entrées, and the crème brûlée proved to be an excellent choice to conclude the meal. While one of the steaks at our table was not initially cooked to order, management was attentive and addressed the matter promptly and with professionalism, ensuring the correction was made without delay. Their responsiveness in that instance was greatly appreciated. Regrettably, the same level of attentiveness was not reflected in the service we received from our server. His demeanor toward my party was dismissive and discourteous, which was particularly disappointing given the significance of the occasion. When he neglected to bring my water, his subsequent apology was delivered in a tone that came across as insincere and unnecessarily rude. This lack of professionalism cast a shadow over an otherwise remarkable dining experience. In summary, Churchill’s delivers an extraordinary culinary experience and demonstrates excellent management oversight. I would still recommend Churchill’s for its exceptional food and attentive management, but sincerely hope the quality of service will be elevated to match the high standard set by the kitchen.

Upscale, classy & premium describe Churchill's Steakhouse in downtown Spokane for any special occasion or fine dining anytime. Old school flare, double white tablecloths, excellent service, warm & elegant interior, quality ingredients. The glass of L'ecole no. 41 Churchill's private reserve cab was superb & complimented the filet. The steak was properly prepared at medium rare but a bit more medium on the ends due to the charred edges. Not a fan of crispy onions that came on top of the steak. I didn't see any indication in the menu, but was glad the meat wasn't drowning in butter to hide its quality like many chop houses (ie. Ruth's Chris). Personally, I want to enjoy the meat w/o any sauce or toppings. However, a variety of topping add-ons are available to please any pallet. The crab cakes were some of the best, not ground or greasy! Crème Brûlée was complementary for our wedding anniversary dinner. Thank you! Low noise level dining, paid parallel street parking, reservations & business casual attire recommended. Best fine dining in Spokane.

Before dining at Churchill’s, we browsed the menu and wondered if the experience would truly match the price. From the moment we walked through the doors, we quickly realized it was worth every dollar. We arrived without a reservation and were still warmly accommodated, seated at a corner bar-top for our group of four. Initially, we questioned whether bar seating might mean slower or lesser service, but that concern disappeared immediately. Our bartender, William, greeted us promptly with menus, drink suggestions, and a level of professionalism that set the tone for the evening. We later learned that he was the only bartender for the entire two-floor establishment—yet his attentiveness never wavered. Appetizers arrived quickly, tasted fantastic, and from that point on, the timing of each course was flawless. We were able to enjoy our meals without ever feeling rushed. When it came time to order entrées, I asked William for his recommendation on the best steak. Instead of upselling, he confidently suggested the New York Strip—and it did not disappoint. Two others in our party also ordered steak, while my fiancée had the salmon, and every dish was exceptional in quality, flavor, and presentation. We ended the evening with dessert, which was every bit as impressive as the rest of the meal. Between the outstanding food, perfect pacing, and William’s exceptional service—supported by a friendly, efficient staff—Churchill’s delivered a dining experience that exceeded our expectations. Not only is the food worth every penny, but the service made the evening memorable. Thank you to William and the entire Churchill’s team. You are all truly amazing, and we look forward to returning.

Ruins Restaurant is a cozy and laid-back spot that offers an ever-changing menu of innovative bar food and artisanal cocktails. The owner and chef, Tony Brown, is known for his inventive dishes like the Dirty Fries, featuring crispy shoestring potatoes with house-made aioli, salsa verde, and roasted pork shoulder. Another must-try is the Parisian-styled gnocchi made with pate a choux dough, gruyere, and tarragon.
Always good here. Menu changes a lot so that’s why you can’t really find one online but they always have some of the same staples. Always have a few vegetarian options which is great. Cocktails are good too. Use whatever local ingredients they have. Make a reservation online! I hear lunch is good too but haven’t been.

Years ago, a partner made me promise to let them be the first to take me to Ruins. I found this request hilarious, but indeed merited, as I certainly have earned a reputation for "getting around..." the local food scene, that is! I happily made that promise. Shit got weird. There was even a whole pandemic wreaking havoc on the food scene! We never made it to Ruins before our relationship ended. I broke my promise yesterday! Ruins is now open in a beautiful location in Kendall Yards. I had no problems with parking. It felt safe and beautiful and clean... all those positive aspects of gentrification! Are we even in Spokane? Pinkies out, people. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to dinner service... first ones there! It didn't take long for the patio outside the entrance to fill up with folks ready to order from their renowned rotating menu. I didn't have a reservation! Would I get in? Was that old promise a curse? Haha! I got in. No reservation. I'm here to break promises. The waitstaff were all adorable... Tattooed and super cool vibes all around. Service was personable and attentive and laid back. Relax those pinkies, friends! I loved the atmosphere. Throughout dinner, you could hear the bartender preparing drinks with rhythm and style... the sounds of that shaker was quite honestly dope as hell. Maybe he's a musician? Rock on man. Well done. I'm amongst my people. The music overhead was amazing, throwback to 80s and 90s. NuShooz. Chaka Khan. Michael Jackson. Last night's menu. Perfection. There were gluten-free and vegetarian options. I remember this was my old partner's favorite thing about Ruins. The menu rotates, so the adventure is always there, as were vegetarian options. We shared the Whipped Feta and Flatbread as a starter. The plating was fun with the flatbread standing high in a cone on the plate. This was clearly made in-house, fresh, doused in some kind of lightly seasoned crack... perhaps ghee? The feta was beaten into submission, fully aware of its fate to be devoured. Cool, refreshing cucumber and tangy, zippy marinated red onions were the perfect accompaniment to the crackbread and feta. This shit could be habit-forming! I ordered the duck. Because I don't want to have to cook duck for myself. If it's on the menu somewhere reputable, I want my fork in it. It. Was. Divine. Those cherries will punch you right in the palate. Are they pickled? They were a respectful send-off for that duck's final destination into my belly, along with perfectly creamy polenta, green beans, and arugula dressed in something royal. Fresno relish... total zinger with a ping of mild sweet heat and a tinge of smokiness. This plate was a 10/10. Didn't even need a speck of extra salt! My friend ordered the pappardelle... cooked to perfection, wide-cut, thin ribbons. Sauced up in a roasted tomato and fennel ragu, basil and parm... crowned with a burrata blob and pork meatballs that tasted like homemade sausage. Delectable dish, all the way around. Listen. Some promises merit breaking... "Ruin~ing," if you will. This was one of them! I fully intend to break this promise on rotation with their next menu creation. Honestly, I'm stopping myself from heading up there for brunch right now! They serve brunch, people! Pro-tip: Go to Instagram to see their current menu if you're the kind of person that needs to know their offerings ahead of time. My advice though, JUST GO! There's something for everyone on that menu. Visit their website to read about how awesome they are for our community, too. Did you really read all that? 🦋🖤🦋

let's start with the good things. AMAZING food. my party and i all enjoyed our food, one can tell it was created with care and attention. they had perfect accomodations for an allergy in my group, and they had a wide selection of food and drinks. the music played in the establishment was also very good. unfortunately, the service is horrible. my grandmother's food was taken to a different table by an incompetent waiter, and it took another twenty minutes to get another over to her. our server was quiet and slightly dismissive. there were only 3 other groups in this restaurant, and yet it still took what seemed like forever for our server to come and take our orders, then later to take plates. he never once came back to check in with us to see how things were going. on top of everything, it took a total of ONE HOUR to get our food out of the kitchen. anyways, come to this spot if you want good food, but not for anything else.

I want to start by saying I love and support Ruins! My husband and I, along with another couple, recently visited Ruins’ new location. We were very excited as every experience in their other location had been great. The food was still excellent! We were greeted with a friendly host but that was where the good service stopped. We were seated on the patio, which has a lovely view - their new location is perfect. Really set the stage for what should have been (and we expected) an incredible experience. Our service was terrible. The restaurant was not full, actually about 1/2 capacity, and there seemed to be plenty of staff. We waited at least 20- 30 minutes between our servers stops at our table - to order, to get drinks, to get water, to get our check, etc. Meanwhile, we can see him along with other staff hanging out and visiting with each other inside. After waiting for over 30 minutes, we finally had to get up, go inside and interrupt their discussion to request our check. He still didn’t come out to give us our check for another 10 minutes. I’m not saying any of this to discourage others from visiting. I’m really hoping the owners will see this and make changes. I want Ruins to succeed but service needs to be a priority

Absolutely love the food here. Ordering is a challenge because everything looks delicious and in fact, it is! Unfortunately, there is a major disconnect between the exceptional quality and creativity of the food and the overall dining experience. We loved the space as Park Lodge. But as Ruins, the lighting is too bright and the staff couldn't be less interested in creating an experience for the customer. Sadly, our server was not only inattentive; he knew next to nothing about the food. We asked a couple of questions about ingredients and preparation and he tried to make up an answer which was sad because he should know and furthermore, want to know about the dishes he is serving. We had heard that the service is disappointing and our experience validated that. We will continue to come back which probably doesn't provide any incentive for management to deal with this issue but I really hope they will. The service is a disservice to this local landmark.

Five star food but... Not long after they opened we tried to eat here. Then stood at the hostess stand so long, without a single glance from an employee, never mind a "be with you in a moment", that we walked away. There were two tables seated, a bartender who looked like he was doing inventory and a server talking to him. Directly in front of us. The bartender had to purposely keep from making eye contact. This time I went with a small group. Prior to sitting at a table we were in the bar and the bartender again, didn't even acknowledge us. The place was nearly empty...again. So the vibe, the atmosphere is just off. However, after we sat ourselves, we had an awesome server. and the food, was fabulous. I had the pork shoulder and WOW. it came on a bed of white beans. The pork was fall off the bone perfection and the flavors amazing. For cocktails and snacks, the dirty fries are a must. I have never had fries that good. I hope they get it together here. No restaurant can afford to have people walk in and walk out. Or have more than a couple of bad experiences. And it's got so much potential to be an amazing neighborhood spot.

Food is great. Service was not great. We sat at the bar. The people sitting next to us were actually wait staff eating and still waiting on tables. There were 2 tables that had customers and 2 other couples at the bar including ourselves, so not busy. It took so long, even though it was very slow. We finally got our food and as we were eatting, 2 servers starting assembling silverware into napkins right next to us. It seemed odd not to do it at the many open tables, but decided next to us was the best place. I've been here maybe 6 times since they moved into the neighborhood. Only 2 out of the 6 were good experiences. I haven't written a bad review prior because I wanted to give them time to sort things out. After talking to a number of neighbors who live next to Ruins, we decided the best course of action was to write a review so hopefully they can resolve the service issues.

I visited Ruins with friends for dinner last week. This is my second time at Ruins and my first in this new location. The food was wonderful - we all really enjoyed all dishes ordered. The person who greeted us and another who brought out our food were very friendly. Unfortunately, the primary service was terrible, just as it was the last time I visited. It was very slow, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Our server never checked on us after we had our food. We asked for the bill, never received it so went inside to retrieve it. We sat on the patio and there was no effort as far as ambience - there are lovely lamps out there which were never turned on, even as the night got darker. There was smashed food all under our table. Empty tables were left with plates and glasses all over, again despite things being very quiet and there being ample staff. With both of my visits to Ruins, it has felt like thoughtful attention was paid to the food but not anything else. I do not intend to return, which is unfortunate, given the really good food. But the poor service just detracts from what could otherwise be quite a lovely experience.

Cochinito is a casual Mexican eatery adorned with colorful murals, serving up classic dishes like tacos and tequila-based drinks. The downtown hotspot, owned by chef Travis Dickinson and manager Justin Curtis, offers an array of chef-crafted Latin and Mexican-inspired eats. Their mix-and-match taco menu features inventive options such as fried maitake mushroom, 20-hour carne asada, octopus, and beef short rib birria.
I asked ChatGPT for the best Mexican restaurant in Spokane and it directed me to this place. My daughter and I shared the queso fundido, pork cheek carnitas, rice and pinto beans, and shrimp tacos. Everything was unbelievably delicious. The shrimp tacos had a strawberry vinegar compote of some sort and slivered almonds. The pork carnitas was succulent - perfect blend of salt, fat, acid, and sweet. The rice and beans were authentic and even the chips and queso (with rough cut tomato salsa) was best I’ve ever had. I don’t know where the chef was trained but BRAVO! I told everyone at the front desk at the hotel where we are staying how fabulous this place is! Wish we were staying another night just so we can go back and try the birria torte and tacos!

Millennial taco place. They have sharables, chalkboard signs, metal trays, and a cool hipster behind the bar. The employees here were awesome and fun to talk to. The food was decent for mexican themed food but the furthest thing from authentic. It was also extremely overpriced. The salsas (and 5 dollar guacamole) were served in very tiny containers (id say about 1.5-2 ounces of sauce at best) that were difficult to scoop from. They do have free water here which i really enjoyed. I highly recommend if your a hip mellenial

I had high hopes for this place, but was left meh. The tacos are pricey and lacking a lot of flavor. The Cochinita was a big disappointment, not done right at all, but I can't fault them since we live in the Yucatán and are spoiled. The tacos were OK, just not great or that full for the price. The chips and salsa wasn't bad, just a bit too chunky. Overall the value for quality isn't up to par.

Cochinito is a great spot for fast, flavorful eats. I had the birria tacos and the lamb—both tender, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. You order at the counter, and service was fast and efficient. Water is self-serve, and the space has a modern, laid-back vibe with cool decor. Great for a quick but satisfying meal. Construction in the area made it a bit of an adventure to find, but the signage is clear which helps.

This is one of my favorite taco places ever! I love the unique flavors they come up with!! Whenever I come to Spokane, I try to come here. I wish they were open on Sundays, but I get it. I also wish they offered flour tortillas because I’m form sensitive. But I don’t care about having a reaction because it’s THAT good 😂
