The Shriver House Museum is a historic site located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was the 19th-century home of a Civil War soldier's family and offers an immersive experience into the civilian life during and after the battle. The house, originally built with an adjacent building for a saloon and bowling alley, has been restored to its period accuracy. Visitors can take a guided tour to learn about the Shriver family's experiences during those fateful days in July.
We went for the Confederate takeover and it was so much fun! The house is beautiful inside and out! They showed us a garden out back that they grow period crops in. It was a cool experience!

This was one of the best things we did on our visit to Gettysburg. Lisa was our guide and she was fantastic--so knowledgeable and explained told the story of the Shriver family so well. She encouraged questions and really took time with everyone. It was obvious that her tours are a true labor of love for her. It was fascinating to learn about this family and what happened in their home.
Sarah L — Google review
The tour was very entertaining & informative. The tour guide was the sweetest little thing. The tour really gave you a good insight into how the civilian population dealt with the battle and its aftermath.

I stopped in without a (recommended ) reservation at this historic witness home, a home that had a first row viewing to the Gettysburg fighting. I was greeted warmly by staff and giving an intimate tour by Debbi. Great storytelling style the vivid imagery made me feel as if I were shivering in the Attic during those three terrible days. Three sets of stairs, easy for most, watch your head and watch the skirt as you follow the tour guide. This was more than a tour, it was a step back to 1863 and intimate details of how the Shriver family lived. I enjoyed every minute of the tour, thank you Debbi. 5* recommend and if you enjoyed your tour, tips are gratefully accepted.

This place is small. You get a guided tour from the attic to the cellar. Our tour guide Patti was wearing clothes from that era. She was very informative. There's more to the Battle of Gettysburg then just the fighting in the fields. The residents, their daily lives, their homes, and animals were all affected. There are bullet holes on the outside of the brick building. This lasted for years later.
Robie T — Google review
Loved this tour and bought the book At Gettysburg after the tour. Out Gus’s was extremely knowledgeable and very informative. We lived back in 1863 with her stories.

We stumbled upon the Shriver’s House, and this was our favorite tour we took while in Gettysburg! Miss Marcia was very detailed, enthusiastic and engaging while telling us the story about the Shriver family. The home itself is set up perfectly to reflect the time periods before, during and after the war. Highly recommend this tour!

Patti did a excellent job as tour guide of the house, dressed in period garb.

The Jennie Wade House in Gettysburg is a museum dedicated to the memory of Jennie Wade, a civilian casualty during the Civil War. The house offers exhibits on domestic wartime life and tells the poignant story of Jennie's untimely death. Preserved just as it looked in 1863, each room reflects the sudden shift from normal life during those three days.
Visited this past weekend with my gf and did the Ghost tour. Rachel was our guide and was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot from her. It was pretty cool to actually be there knowing what happened here. We will be back with our kids for sure.

Gift shop was okay. Expensive as to be expected. I've taken the house tour twice. It's no big deal... don't expect ghosts! Just a small historic house. That's it.
Mike H — Google review
To hear and/or read about what happened to this young woman and her family and what they did during the battle is one thing, but to go and see the house, to learn about it fully, to see the bullet holes and everything else, you get a sense of wonder of it all. The tour was very well done and I do recommend it and while it is said of 'no ghost hunting', don't be surprised if something 'strange' happens.
Roisin D — Google review
Our tour guide was great. I have been on this tour multiple times. It was a first for my granddaughters and they really enjoyed it. I didn't take any pictures inside but visited her grave afterward

How much could there be to a tour of a tiny house. A whole lot. Great historical narrative with a compelling human story. Our guide was very knowledgeable and delivered a smooth presentation which we all enjoyed. Unique items in the gift shop. Well worth the time.

Really enjoyed our tour at the house. Our guide was very informative, knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. It was a interesting experience that I would reccomend people who are interested in history to check out.

The history concerning Jeannie in the house was very interesting. Our service dog got a little freaked out in the upstairs bedroom in the corner. Hmmmm Wonder what that could have meant. Recommend to anyone and everyone to tour this home.

Museums
The Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center is housed in Schmucker Hall, a historic building with a significant role in the Battle of Gettysburg. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits dedicated to the battle and its aftermath. One of the main attractions is the opportunity to climb to the open-air cupola, offering panoramic views similar to those seen by Union General John Buford on the eve of the battle.
The museum showcases a fascinating collection that is certainly worth exploring. Its exhibits are thoughtfully curated, providing a comprehensive look at its subject matter. You will find each display exceptionally well-explained, making it easy to understand. Furthermore, the museum's layout is very user-friendly, allowing for a smooth and enjoyable experience. The museum is an excellent resource for anyone looking to learn more.
Shawn K — Google review
What a great experience! Leo was our tour guide to the Cuppola and he was fantastic. I know the battlefield, I know the first day. Seeing it from up there and Leo pointing out things and explaining, just made it come to life even more! The museum alone is worth the price of admission. The 4 floors, each showcasing a different thing. Very interesting! Really should be included kn every visit to Gettysburg!
Macie R — Google review
This was my first trip back to the museum since it first opened in 2013. The museum was even better than I remembered it. The displays bring to life the time when the seminary building was treating both Union and Confederate wounded. This museum is an integral part of telling the story of both soldiers and civilians alike during the battle and its subsequent aftermath. I did not get a chance to go up in the cupola this time, but it will be on the bucket list when I go back.
Kelly J — Google review
We did the museum tour, which is self guided with dioramas. Easily spent 2 hours there. I would recommend going.
Denise B — Google review
Absolutely a must when visiting Gettysburg. The displays are top notch, and the information on religion and the slavery debate is awesome. Pay the extra and tour the cupola. An awesome view.
Steven H — Google review
This museum is very well done! You start on floor 4 and work your way down. There are elevators or stairs. The exhibits are well thought out and the artifacts are really interesting. Our family really enjoyed this place and the favorite part was going up into the cupola to take in the view similar to what Buford would have seen. You will get a nice overview of the battle here so this is a nice starting point if you don’t know much about the events that took place at Gettysburg.
Randy S — Google review
Take the cupola tour, if you are able. This museum offers a low key atmosphere. I liked how the museum used the different rooms and different floors to tell the story of the 1st day of The Battle and to highlight different aspects of it. The rooms on the "carving for the wounded" floor were incredible.
Raccoon S — Google review
Wow! We visited the museum and were so impressed. There are 4 floors and each floor offers tons of information and artifacts. I was really impressed with the medical displays. It really brings the human perspective and the brutal ravages of battle. The story of the Ziegler children and interactive displays were really interesting for kids (and adults!) Rob was amazing with his knowledge of the seminary and the battle of Gettysburg. He answered all our questions and explained the battle so we felt like we were almost there! We highly recommend visiting the museum and thank Rob for his time and bringing history to life!

Step into the 19th-century charm of Dobbin House Tavern, a historic bed and breakfast featuring cozy rooms and an American alehouse. Originally built for Reverend Alexander Dobbin, this establishment is now a premier Gettysburg attraction. The candlelit elegance of the restaurant offers superior food and gracious service that transports guests back in time. The Springhouse Tavern provides a more intimate dining experience, while the Abigail Adams Ballroom caters to larger gatherings.
Outstanding atmosphere! My husband and I ate twice downstairs in the Tavern and would highly recommend it! It is cozy, intimate, and feels like you are instantly transported back in time. It is an excellent place to feel fully immersed in the Gettysburg experience. The food is also excellent. We had the stuffed shrimp and the crab cakes and were very pleased with both dishes! Can’t wait to plan our next trip back and eat here!!

First time visit to Gettysburg. We heard about this place and had to try it. We ate in the basement tavern which was super cool. Just like stepping back in time. Great service, great food and for a headline eatery of the town, the prices were reasonable. We were there for 4 days and chose to make this a place we returned to for a second meal. Not just the food, but the atmosphere. It was a .6 mile walk for us from our hotel and it was well worth it. Went in during the week. We arrived around 5pm or so. No wait. Overall experience was fantastic. I had a burger that was great. We tried the onion soup which was a hit and also had the crab stuffed shrimp !!!!! I don't think there is a bad choice on the menu.

Had dinner here and absolutely loved it. My husband and I were lucky enough to sit in the museum room for our dinner. They had live music and the servers were extremely knowledgeable about the home and rooms. I had their soup of the day which was a crab soup - incredibly good with great pieces of real crab meat. The salad was also delicious, highly recommend getting it with their homemade house dressing. Then we each had a steak, which was cooked to perfection! And of course the seasonal cocktails were made extremely well. This spot is worth a visit! Since we were the last few dining for the night, we had an opportunity to enjoy each of the rooms and admire the artwork and history, staff was extremely friendly and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We’ll be back soon!

My wife and I dined at the Dobbin House Tavern today and we were very impressed with the food and service. Kelly was an amazing server. She was pleasant, quick and professional at every step. We enjoyed the perfect soups we ordered as well as the Reuben and crab cake sandwich. You just don't receive this overwhelming professional dining experience everywhere. We were super impressed and will be back to enjoy this perfect tavern in Gettysburg. Thank-you.

Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at Dobbin House Tavern to celebrate a milestone—our host’s 70th birthday. This historical gem, nestled near the spot where President Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address, offered a truly memorable experience rich in both history and modern culinary delights. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, embodying the charm of its storied past. For dinner, I chose the ribeye, and it was nothing short of spectacular—juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. My wife opted for the Seafood Isabelle, which she thoroughly enjoyed; the freshness and presentation were top-notch. As we celebrated this special occasion, I couldn't help but reflect on Lincoln’s words: “...the government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.” It felt fitting to share this during our meal, underscoring the importance of history in our lives. If you’re in Gettysburg, Dobbin House Tavern is a must-visit for delicious food and a touch of history!

Absolutely love this restaurant! Such a unique gem and full of history. The oldest standing building in Gettysburg our dessert and bread were amazing! My cheesecake recipe actually came from William Penn's (the founder of Pennsylvania )wife's recipe book! How cool is that?! Our waiter was wonderful! Just overall great customer service!

We opted for the fine dining rooms. Our dinners were very good. The lamb chops were the best I’ve had. The salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious. Ruth was gracious, helpful and understanding. I hope we have another occasion to sit at one of her tables. We also visited the Tavern which is also a great place for a meal and drinks.

Historic Sites
The David Wills House, situated on Lincoln Square in Gettysburg, is a museum that offers insights into the aftermath of the Battle of Gettysburg and President Lincoln's historic address. Managed by the National Park Service since 2009, this historical site showcases exhibits about the local community, the Gettysburg National Cemetery, and Lincoln's visit. Visitors can explore two rooms restored to their late 1863 appearance, including the bedroom where Lincoln stayed and finalized his speech.
Amazing visit. First floor is a living history museum of the Gettysburg Address. Second floor is an historic recreation of President Lincoln's bedroom, where he stayed to draft his now famed Gettysburg Address. Staff is incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable. Such a wonderful experience, and as a history buff, this easily ranks top on sites not to be missed for American History.

This house is located right in the town square. The park ranger has a lot of information about this house. This was a very interesting self guided tour. They have the room Lincoln slept in. That was very exciting to see. The tour is on the first and second floor. If you are unable to climb stairs, they have an elevator for your use. This is free to see, but you can make a donation. If you are visiting Gettysburg, you need to stop here. This is also part of the auto tour.

This is one of those buildings where you need to take your time, stop, read, look at everything you possibly can. At first glance, it does not seem like much... but if you go deeper and start reading a bit... The bed in the Lincoln Bedroom upstairs, actual bed Lincoln slept in, The wool saddle cover, actually used by Lincoln when he road to the cemetery for the dedication. It is believed that the final touches of the Gettysburg address was completed here as well. For those of you who dive into history as well, the story of David Wells, and how Lincoln actually came to Gettysburg is quite interesting as too. Great place, and managed by the park service. FREE admission when open. More information and video on our blog site. Search for OurHauntedTravels.

This is a National Parks Museum. Right in the town square of Gettysburg. There is a park ranger when you first go in to give you a general over view of the house. The tour is free and self guided. They do have pamphlets to follow. There is an upstairs and downstairs. They have the bedroom Lincoln slept in. Not a long tour we were there probably 15 or 20 minutes. But very informative. Don't pass up if your in the area.
Melissa K — Google review
Great historical location, however, the NPS person there sort of spoiled the moment by telling me that the interior infrastructure was constructed inside the shell of the building. The same thing was done in Williamsburg. A recreation of history. It is very well done, and still worth the visit. Lincoln's bed was the most interesting item.
Coming J — Google review
Interesting piece of history and one of the oldest homes in Gettysburg. More information about Lincoln’s visit and Will’s political influence than time pieces in the home. If you’re not interested in the history then this probably isn’t a must see for you as there isn’t much furniture or decorations in the home.
Todd W — Google review
The Gettysburg address was written here, which is really mind boggling to think about. There is a fee to go in, so we just walked around the outside. The historical district that this house is in is great to walk around and feel the history!
Rachael K — Google review
Amazing experience at the David Wills House today. David the docent, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many wonderful details about the history of this house and how the owner played a huge part in Lincoln coming to Gettysburg. Extremely education. The home itself is incredibly done with pictures, handwritten notes, and short movies that really take you back to the year 1863. The white bedspread on the bed in the pic is confirmed to be the one President Lincoln actually used. If you love history this is a must see while traveling thru Gettysburg.

Irish pub
Garryowen Irish Pub is a popular spot known for its authentic Irish atmosphere and cuisine. The pub offers a wide selection of over 100 Irish whiskies, along with draft beers and traditional Irish dishes. Guests can indulge in classics like Scotch eggs, shepherd's pie, and Ulster fry, as well as innovative creations such as grilled hot whiskey sausage sandwiches and Irish nachos loaded with crispy potatoes, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, jalapenos, and scallions.
It was a very nice experience. There was an indoor or outdoor option. We chose inside. The bar was at the front and then there were regular tables further back. We sat there. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Our food was delicious. I had the chicken dish (pictured) and my son had the Gaelic shrimp (pictured) he devoured it and some of my chicken, so it was definitely good. The Irish poutine (pictured)! was very good as well. He said is was alright, but he kept eating it lol. If we had more time here, we would definitely go back. We will come back on another trip though for sure.

We enjoyed our dinner at Garryowen Irish Pub tonight. Raz, our server, was personable and efficient. Our appetizers (crab & roasted red pepper soup and Ceasar salad) were delicious. Our meals (fish & chips and Shepard Pie) were served hot and tasty. The atmosphere is interesting and comfortable, and our beverages tasted good after a long date touring the battlefield.

We had an awesome meal at this pub, we were seated outside the main bar area and even while it was a moderately busy night(im assuming) our table was plenty quiet for a conversation. The beer we got was great! Obviously Guinness from the tap is always a hit when done right, and the food was also exceptional! We got the bangers and mash, and a lamb burger and both were fantastic, the lamb burger was juicy, tender, and a unique flavor from beef burger (its not grassy, just trust) and the bangers and mash was a perfect comfort food pick, the potatoes were creamy with chunks of potato in them, the gravy was expertly seasoned, as was the sausage. And do not pass up the scotch egg for an appetizer it was very very good! Rich, but not greasy! 9.7/10 would definetly reccomend to anyone visiting Gettysburg this spot will not disappoint!

The bar is very nostalgic. I ate in the restaurant section and it has a throwback vibe to it. The service was good and so was the food. My only complaint is the red skinned mashed potatoes seemed to be microwaved. I got the mushroom chicken with a cream sauce and it was excellent. Definitely a cool stop to grab a pint and a bite to eat.

Just visited Garryowen Irish Pub and had a fantastic experience! The fish and chips were excellent—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Irish fare and a great atmosphere!

We came here on a Saturday night in October for dinner and ended up seeing some live music that we didn’t realize was scheduled. The downstairs bar was full so we went up to the 3rd floor (or was it second floor - the top level whichever it is). The downstairs was pretty busy and we weren’t sure about getting a table. The upstairs wasn’t as busy but it is much smaller. It was nice with then musicians playing, it was a more intimate experience. We walked up stairs, if you can’t do stairs just stay on the lower level. I hear they do Irish music down there on some Sundays. We sat at the bar up there. The bartender was friendly and attentive. I don’t remember her name but she was very pleasant. We orders drinks and dinner. We had Gaelic shrimp and the scrumpy prig and mushroom chicken. Both were good. I would like to go back and try a dessert. The band was very good although I didn’t get any video - sorry! Prices were comparable with other places. We parked on the street and didn’t pay a meter but it was late. I don’t know what the times are for the meters - best to check the actual meter or the Gettysburg parking authority before you go. The town is walkable so even if you end up a couple of blocks over you’ll be fine. We had an enjoyable time.

American restaurant
This American restaurant in Gettysburg offers a relaxed atmosphere with specialties including eats and cocktails. The venue accepts American Express, accepts Mastercard, and accepts Visa. There is outdoor seating as well as parking available.
I had been wanting to come here for a while and finally made it out on a Saturday afternoon in June. I am local to the Gettysburg area and I don’t typically drink distilled spirits but I follow them on instagram and the food looked very good. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly by a bartender. He gave us menus and a little time to decide on drinks. We had a hard cider and an old fashioned. We also ordered some salads and I saved room for the butterscotch pudding dessert special I had seen on social media. Everything was very good although the whiskey in the old fashioned was a little over powered by the other ingredients. We ended up getting a 4-pack of their canned cocktails to-go as well. I had tried one of these at another local establishment and it was pretty good. The bar staff were all friendly and attentive. The bar seating was mostly full and there were a lot of groups at tables. Even with the business, the noise wasn’t bad. We found it easy to talk and hear each other. They do serve beer and hard cider for those who don’t drink cocktails or whiskey. But if you do like the spirits, they have plenty including whiskey, bourbon, vodka, brandy, rum, gin and more. There was plenty of parking. Prices were comparable to other similar establishments we have been to. We had an enjoyable time. If you’re in Gettysburg or just rant to take a drive, stop in and see them. Get the dessert and enjoy it.

We loved everything about our visit to Mason Dixon Distillery! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, offering us many tastings and recommendations. You could tell how much heart and soul Yianni, the owner, has put into it. Their cocktails and food were absolutely amazing! Best fried pickles I’ve ever had, tastiest drink with their Jack Sparrow, and their Brisket Benedict (brunch menu) was phenomenal! Loved doing the tour and hearing about his journey. Bought a few bottles/cans to take home and will definitely be back for more! Love seeing a fellow Greek living out his dream and wish him continued success!

Sam was great! In fact if you want a great server she's your girl. She knows the menu inside and out. Made awesome recommendations and helped our Gluten Free kiddo navigate the menu with ease. Yes they have Gluten free options that are clearly marked on the menu. Food was delicious and drinks were good too! They even have a gluten free rice Kristie treat for dessert. Took a few for the road.... from canned spirits. They even ship so if you love them you'll need more if you're not a local.

We were visiting Gettysburg and decided to check out Mason Dixon for brunch on Sunday. Our crew had the most amazing breakfast. We had beignets and then eggs Benedict with brisket. We sampled 2 different flights and everything was nothing short of spectacular! Emily was a fantastic waitress and took amazing care of us. Then meeting with the owner was an extra touch with great customer service. He was taking time to greet almost every group that came in to eat. Highly recommend coming to enjoy all that they have to offer with great food, drinks and beautiful atmosphere. Can’t recommend it enough!! We will be back again for sure.

We were fortunate enough to get a tour on the 4th of July. The tour had at least 30 people in it, but Yanni did an amazing job detailing the history of his business and the operations. There was a nice, blended bourbon tasting on the tour as well. He made us feel very welcome indeed. After, most of the members of the tour stayed to have a meal and drinks. My wife had the cocktail flight, and I had the aged spirits flight. Both were out of this world. For solids, we split the poutine and the goat cheese brulee. This was really one of my favorite meals this year. The beef in the poutine was very tender without overwhelming the balance of the dish. The brulee was perfectly balanced between decadence and intense creamy flavors. Yanni even came by to thank us for visiting. We will definitely be back!

Mason Dixon Distilling is absolutely awesome!! As someone who frequently visits the Kentucky bourbon trail, I’d easily pit Yanni’s (the owner and creator) bourbons with most I’ve tasted on “on the trail”! The food is outstanding, his servers and bartenders are fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable and groovy! Heart and soul are poured into each bottle as they make Ouzo, Tsipouro, bourbon, vodka, and gin. Their canned cocktails set a high tasting bar and pair great with most dishes. If you’re near by want to simply try something , there is a flight for you! If you’re within 300 miles of this place, take the detour and try it out! You won’t be disappointed!

Great spot! Food was really good. My husband and I shared the cheesesteak. The flavors were there - it was a little salty, but I would order it again. Staff were really nice. Well done. Before coming here, we went to the shop in town and tried some bourbons and mixed drinks. The staff were awesome there, too. We ended up purchasing a 4 pack of mixed cocktails and a bourbon. A staff member gave us a $10 off coupon for the restaurant. Thanks! Glad we stopped in.

American restaurant
One Lincoln is a trendy restaurant located in the historic Gettysburg Hotel, offering a blend of modern American comfort food and craft cocktails. The interior exudes a cosmopolitan vibe, with an upscale yet family-friendly ambiance. Executive chef Joseph Holmes leads the culinary team in preparing traditional American dishes and fresh seafood for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant's prime location on Lincoln Square provides both indoor and outdoor seating with picturesque views.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a good vegan option for our son, and great food for the rest of us too. Our server was fantastic and I can’t recommend the crab Mac and cheese enough…. So good!

The patio is lovely and shaded, perfect for brunch. We came with two kids, and the kids’ menu was simple and kid-friendly. Service was a bit slow at first, but our server was friendly and checked in often once drinks and food arrived. We originally planned to eat up the street but stumbled on this spot with no wait, so we stayed. The food was decent, nothing spectacular, but the patio ambiance really made the experience enjoyable. A solid choice for a relaxed, casual brunch.

Happy we chose this restaurant located in the main square. Our group of 8 popped in on Monday evening, the restaurant was not busy at all. After a little confusion with seating, here comes Savannah to take excellent care of us, which is the main reason for my 5-star review. Savannah WOWed us with her friendly personality, hospitable nature, attentive service & food suggestions were much appreciated. I ordered the summer vegetable farro & added grilled chicken which was delicious. Average pricing, nice menu variety although not an extensive menu, contemporary atmosphere. Would return when visiting the area & will certainly be requesting Savannah when I do!

This was our first visit to Gettysburg. We are in town for a work conference. Our first night we were looking for a restaurant with a variety of cuisines. One Lincoln fit the bill. Located in the center of downtown situated on the roundabout, it is close to other shops, bars/restaurants and even a movie theater. There is also a bar connected to the restaurant and hotel. Only street parking is available and the meter maid is checking between 8am -8pm. We visited on the last Monday night in July. The weather was fair so we dined outside and so glad we did. We were able to hear some history of the Gettysburg hotel from the guide leading a walking tour group. Food selection was great. I ordered the Fruit and nut salad and it was truly refreshing. I noticed it did not have the goat cheese added when I received my meal. I informed our waitress of this and she gladly returned with a side dish of goat cheese. My partner ordered a crab Mac and cheese which he enjoyed. Our waitress Betsy is a local and was very friendly and hospitable. We look forward to returning again this week for breakfast and lunch/dinner.

I come here for drinks with friends and colleagues pretty often, and was delighted when I recently visited to see the updated cocktail menu. I love the atmosphere and location of the bar, and always thought that the only thing missing was a focused drink menu. Having a compelling menu is only half the battle though, and Regina the new bartender executed the drinks (I had the classic Paper Plane) we ordered perfectly with panache. I’m excited for my next visit!

We ate at One Lincoln this evening and we definitely give it a 10+! We had a party of four and two had the flank steak which was perfectly prepared/cooked. The pork chop was delicious and tender and the salmon was excellent and flavorful. The drinks were exceptional but the winner of the evening was the staff. Our server Sierra was so personable and a total delight. The drinks John, the bartender, prepared were great and the manager Amy was very nice. This was our first time and it definitely will not be our last. Great meal, service and experience!

Pretty restaurant that's why we chose it. To my amazement had pretty good reviews. I don't know if this was an off night maybe it was. Took forever for the appetizers to come out. The charcuterie board was not good. The soup corn and chicken was ok. The main course was as steak and was inedible. Tough and zero flavor. Let the manager know. I figured she may take it off since we ate two bites. She didn't. I would've rather given 100 bucks to a homeless dude.

This reviews didn’t seem too great before walking in here but I think they get a bad wrap. I think they are mostly understaffed. The breakfast burrito was great. My orange juice was fine. Some people make accounts just to post bad reviews… suggestion. If you want to know if you can put faith in a review. Make sure their account has a good amount of reviews

Bar & grill
American restaurant
Blue & Gray Bar & Grill is a laid-back spot with a Civil War theme, offering specialty burgers and other classic pub dishes. The restaurant, owned by Holly Giles and chef Allison Giles, serves up modern American cuisine influenced by global flavors in a cozy Tudor-style historic building. It's a popular choice for locals seeking lunch, dinner, or late-night drinks with top-notch cocktails.
First time visitors in from Ohio. We had a party of 7 and were able to get a seat together outside. The weather was very nice out so that worked perfectly. Our server was very nice and all of our food was made accurately and delicious. My mom is still going on about her brisket burger.

We stopped by after a day of walking around the battlegrounds and boy was this food exactly what we needed! Kayla was amazing and recommended drinks and wing flavors for us to try. Service was quick and food was amazing!! The burger flavors were interesting, and worked in an unexpected way.

This place never disappoints! From the juicy, meaty wings that are perfectly coated with the most delectable sauces, to the HUGE burgers with the crazy delicious topping options. No matter what you choose you’ll be left full and happy! Make sure to see what weekday specials they have because they are quite the deal. We came on a Monday and got to enjoy their shrimp special! The vibes here are welcoming and fun with the bustling bar crowd. The service is always quick and attentive and seems to always be one step ahead from drink refill to extra napkins, they have you covered! BONUS: Always make sure to order a side of Garlic parm wing sauce as a dip for your fries or whatever you please! It’s only $1 to add and its garlicky cheesy goodness will have you questioning why you haven’t done it sooner!

The Blue & Gray continues to be my absolute favorite place to eat in Gettysburg. They opened while I was there for college, and their quality hasn't dropped a bit in over a decade. Every return visit to town requires at least one meal there, with no exceptions. The staff is unfailingly friendly and helpful. The dining room can get crowded (though there is now some outdoor patio space since the pandemic), and the place is super busy on Friday and Saturday evenings until late; hour long waits or more are common. This most recent visit was for an early lunch around 11:30 on a Saturday, though, and we had our pick of tables. The many different burgers are all named after officers from both sides that fought in the battle, and most have unique and elaborate toppings that match the spirit of that officer. The Longstreet is a particular favorite, almost a calling card of theirs. Ordered a Hays burger w/ fries and a meatball sub w/ sweet potato fries. Both were excellent, as we knew they would be.

We were there twice today, first for an appetizer lunch (no pictures) and then for supper. The food is fantastic! Our appetizer lunch consisted of grilled cheese, chicken fingers and cheese sticks. The cheese sticks were definitely the favourite! The chicken fingers have an great breading. For supper we had burgers and wraps. Again, the food was all excellent. Service isn't amazing. We needed to ask for refills both times. The food is enough to get us back there though!

This place is fantastic. I was there on a Friday for lunch with my daughter and we both had incredible food with great service. I ordered the General Heth and it is possibly the best burger I've had while traveling. My daughter got the 6th Louisiana wings and she raved about well prepared they were. We also split the grilled cheese bites which I was tempted to make a meal of on their own. Price was good and again the seven was great

Some of the more unusual and diverse hamburger styles you find. The General Hayes the I ordered was grilled right, juicy, and full of flavor unlike the awful smash burgers every one is doing. Sweet potato fries were nice and crisp, no complaints on anything. I would add a few more caramelized onions though.

Service was great on a Saturday night. Had the rib eye steak... not a lot of flavor but they were tender. It was more like s nybstrip then a marbled rib eye. Sweet potato fries were good but came out a little cold.
