Nature & Parks
Park
Presque Isle State Park, located just across the bay from Erie, Pennsylvania, is a popular destination offering 11 miles of beaches, concert spaces, a lighthouse, lagoons and an environmental center. The park occupies a seven-mile-long peninsula with opportunities for swimming, fishing, bird watching, biking and hiking. Visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions like Waldameer Park and Water World.
Not from this state so I am thrilled to say, this is a MUST when visiting PA. Parking-Free, Beach-Free, Park-Free, bathrooms by beach are decent. You have changing rooms and showers. It's clean and beautiful environment. Definitely a great place to visit with family and friends. If you want more private beach, go to Beach 8. 10 am until 2 It's just peaceful.
Tai V — Google review
We had a quick stop before heading home. Beautiful park! Definitely want to come back and explore when we have more time. There are 6 different beaches entrances, 3 different piers, ferry rides and even a park. Beautiful!
Samantha V — Google review
Presque Isle State Park is an absolute gem along Lake Erie! The park is beautifully maintained, with clean restrooms, plenty of walking and biking trails, and several gorgeous beaches to choose from. Beach 6 and Beach 8 are the most popular, offering calm lakeshore waters perfect for families and a relaxing swim. My favorite is Beach 10 — the water there is crystal clear with open waves, giving it a more adventurous and refreshing feel. It’s a fantastic spot to just sit back, enjoy the breeze, and watch the waves roll in. Best of all, entry to the park is completely free! I highly recommend bringing your own food and turning it into a picnic — it’s the perfect way to spend a day by the beach.
Priya — Google review
Presque Isle was magnificent! I’m sure it’s super packed on the summer, but ours was a fall visit and while it was busy, it was not too bad! Great foot and bike paths. Lots of beach area, the water was great and the lighthouse didn’t disappoint even though it was closed. This was recommended from a friend and I’m so glad we went! Definitely worth the trip if you are within an hour or two drive.
Wendy H — Google review
This is seriously one of those places you visit and cznt wait to come too. Super safe, there's always rangers/ law enforcement driving around. Clean, with lots of garbage cans and restroom areas. I grew up around Lake Erie and I still get pleasantly surprised at how clear the water is at these beaches. Great place to grab Primanti Brothers and spend the afternoon.
D K — Google review
I suggest everyone go! Beautiful views, nice beaches, clean, and a lot of areas for parking and easy access. Nice drive, beautiful fall colors, and lots of small things to do. Playgrounds, bathrooms, and parking all year. We were able to get out and in easily. Found lots of seashells and my littles had a blast. Take extra clothes, kids don't care if its cold!
Jamie B — Google review
It is absolutely beautiful here. I love view. It's nice sand to walk in, we had a great time! Free to go, and you can rent boats. I think they are pet friendly as well. I didn't go anywhere other than the beach area, so I'm not sure about restrooms, picnic areas, or playground.
Tonya B — Google review
The water was very shallow at beach 7, only up to hip height on an adult. We considered bringing floats but I was glad we didn't. I don't know for sure but we saw nobody using them &after being told we couldn't pass a pool football in the water I doubt floats would be allowed. Not the lake adventure we're used to &not what we were looking for. Beautiful area &you can see through the water all the way out to the buoy perimeter.

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Erie Zoo & Botanical Garden is a must-visit destination for animal lovers and families. The zoo houses over 400 animals from around the world, including kangaroos, giraffes, gorillas, warthogs, and cheetahs. Visitors can also enjoy a children's playground and an ice-skating rink for added fun. Adjacent to the zoo is the beautiful Botanical Garden featuring over 400 plants and stunning flowers from different regions.
Pretty small zoo compared to others, but i figured it would be. They had a lot of feline friends!! Which was my favorite; Lynx, Lions, Sandcats, Spotted Genet and Leopards. Lots of others! Only $12 admission. They also have train rides, a carousel and activity/play areas for the kids. Great place to take the family if you don't want to get overwhelmed with too much walking.
Danielle I — Google review
A fairly small zoo and not a lot of animals presented. But I can say that the natural aesthetic feel and the habitats were great, some small but the natural feel of their habitats were well thought out and as well as all the pathways. Probably the smallest gift shop I have seen in a zoo but still had decent items. Would recommend if you only wanted to spend about an hour at a zoo.
Captain J — Google review
Such a lovely little zoo! A nice variety of animals. The displays have been updated since our last visit a number of years ago. Knowing that they just received the support of Erie Events, we look forward to seeing more animals and improvements in the years to come!
Kim H — Google review
This was so fun. it was $12 to get in and if you want to ride the train or the merry go round you have to pay and extra $4 each but you don't have to do them. The whole zoo is just big enough to walk and explore in about 3 hours and there is a playground for kids too. Perfect size zoo!
Erica J — Google review
So most of you won't believe this but at the age of 58 this is my First time at a Zoo and We couldn't have picked a better one. My wife and I were in Erie for the day looking for something to do and she said, Let's check out the Zoo!! So glad we did! Admission was reasonable, it was easy walking and plenty of places to sit down! Seeing the animals was awesome! We loved it! So glad we visited!!
Lee C — Google review
The Erie Zoo is a charming destination with a diverse animal collection, thoughtfully laid out for easy navigation. The animals were lively and engaging, especially with our kids. The pricing is a great value, particularly with their Sunday afternoon free specials. However, we were disappointed to find the train ride wasn't operating during our visit. For a smaller zoo, having all attractions available can enhance the overall experience. Additionally, the concession options were limited on weekdays, so we relied on our packed lunch. Despite these drawbacks, the animal exhibits were well-designed, offering great viewpoints. We'd definitely visit regularly if we lived closer.
James S — Google review
If you are an adult, it will take about 2 hours to see all there is. If you have kids, about 4 hours, bring lunch and make it 5 hours. Totally worth the price of admission. Splurge and go on the train ride. On hot days, the animals are lounging as expected. Feeding time is where they are most lively. It's worth visiting the Kangaroos and Wallabies. Be careful to keep your kids from jumping on them. They are out in the open. Have extra funds for the concession stands if you or the littles want ice cream or other junk foods. There aren't a lot of animals but enough to enjoy the day.
Tai V — Google review
The Erie Zoo is such a fun place. We visited in May, while the Glow Wild Chinese Lantern Festival was happening. I'm not from Erie, but I have many childhood memories of visiting the Erie Zoo. In May, we decided to bring my 8 year old son to the zoo for an impromptu visit. We are so glad that we did! The Glow Wild Lanterns were beautiful and walking through the zoo at night was really fun. We actually saw more animals than we expected. The Erie Zoo is a great place for family fun. I was happy to see the zoo thriving. I hope it's here for years to come. I'd definitely love to visit with my family again.

Sights & Landmarks
The Bicentennial Tower, constructed in 1996 to commemorate Erie's bicentennial year, stands at a height of 187 feet and features two observation decks that provide breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Erie, Presque Isle, and downtown Erie. This iconic waterfront landmark offers visitors the perfect vantage point to capture stunning photos of the city's famous sunset. Surrounded by lively restaurants and bars, the tower also boasts a vibrant abstract mural on its first observation deck floor.
Very nice. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the view was. You could see everything from up there. They have a viewing machine, which was super good. The employees were super nice and generous. I would have missed out if I skipped this wonderful viewing tower.
Shad L — Google review
A beautiful tower on the end of a pier with a small restaurant and gift shop at the bottom. It is in a nice location with many things to do nearby and multiple boat tours are available on the pier as well. The views are the main reason to go up to the tower and they were great, could see over as far as you could see on lake Erie and the entire bayfront. They do have an elevator so you don't have to walk up all those stairs lol. I would recommend stopping by here if you are in the Erie area.
Captain J — Google review
Beautiful views!!! Definitely worth the small fee. We noticed it when we were at the maritime museum but had run out of time so we went the next day. Good for all ages. Loved the elevator after the stairs at the land lighthouse!
Sabrina D — Google review
We came here on a Sunday afternoon in September. We bought tickets onsite and there was no wait. The cost was $6/person. A staff member took us to the observation deck in an elevator. Not sure if there are steps to walk up if you choose to or not - it didn’t seem like that was an option. The view from the observation deck was great. Looking at the website and seeing some other reviews, it’s unclear to me if there is a second observation area. If there is, no one told us about it so we missed it. I don’t remember seeing any elevator options to go up any higher. Parking was easy. There was a shared lot and there were plenty of spaces. It was a very nice day, I was surprised there weren’t more people here. We enjoyed this visit.
Miss V — Google review
This was a fantastic stop on a motorcycle trip back to Ohio from Watkins Glen, New York. For a $6 fee, you can take the elevator up to the viewing deck at 136'. On a clear day, (which we had) and the use of their articulating binoculars, you can see 70 miles due north to Port Dover, Ontario.
Jeremy S — Google review
I mean it's a tower with an elevator (thank goodness) but it did have excellent views of Lake Erie. And the staff was really nice and seemed excited for us to be there.

The Bicentennial Tower in Erie is a great place to visit. From the top, you get a beautiful view of the lake and the city. It’s definitely one of the must-see spots in Erie, PA

Ticket price was $6 per adult. The views were nice. Elevator was fast and there is an indoor section at the top of the tower for bad weather.

Specialty Museums
The Erie Maritime Museum, homeport of the U.S. Brig Niagara, offers interactive exhibits and displays, including a full-scale reproduction of the historic ship. Visitors can explore the museum's collection dating back to 1812 and learn about the 1813 Battle of Lake Erie from enthusiastic volunteers. Families can board the 1800s sailing vessel and discover artifacts from its original construction while hearing stories about its history.
"Two Larry's and a Bob" - these guys made for a great experience, not only for my husband the museum enthusiast but for me who is the complete opposite. We were able to see all the exhibits, watch the corresponding videos, and listen to the group teachings in about 1.5 - 2 hours. I actually learned a fair amount of history during this tour and enjoyed the time there. The overall atomsphere was welcoming, educational, and a little funny- can't go wrong with the occasional dad joke lol. Going to a museum is usually the last thing I'll do for fun, but I'm glad I did this time! Go support the cause and learn some history before the ship sails, you won't regret it!
Eleni D — Google review
This museum is 1 of the coolest museums I have ever been to. If you are ever in Erie and want to learn about naval ships, Lake Erie, and the War of 1812? You can go no further. There is so much information about it and how the city of Erie came to be. It amazed me in the view at the back of the museum of the USS Niagara. The back of the museum has a dissection of the frigates during the time of 1812 inside and out. I haven't gone to the 2nd floor, but I have yet to go back and finish. It's worth going back.
Nick M — Google review
A lot of great information on the history of the battles on the great lakes. It was pretty cool that this building used to be a power station and they left one of the main generators in there for you to view as well. Decent size for a museum but it's just what you would think of any museum, great knowledge of history. I can definitely say I did not know hardly anything about the naval battles until I visited here, but now I do.
Captain J — Google review
This museum is absolutely wonderful. The exhibits are interactive and well created with plenty of artifacts. There is a life size replica of the Lawrence with real cannon and bullet holes! The museum also offers tours of the Flagship Niagara, but that was not available when we visited. The museum gift shop is also closed as of writing this review so plan on going to another store for local merchandise.
MattiasFen — Google review
Excellent history for America’s Navy in the Great Lakes from the War of 1812 to the transition to the Coast Guard working with Canada to control our border. Do not miss the outstanding art work and photos showing the US Coast Guard on the mezzanine. In addition to the historic displays, also excellent exhibits on how sailing ships determined depth and speed.
Victor C — Google review
Awesome experience! I did not expect a guided tour, but Ron, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the maritime Erie. Fascinating and educational. Today was the first day they started doing the tours, so I was fortunate to be in the group. Would have loved to sail on the ship, but it's under repairs and will be operational next year. I'm happy to have picked a quiet Sunday, so it was not busy, and there were NO NOISY KIDS, so that was a plus! Definitely recommend if you around Erie. 🫡
Jasmine — Google review
Pretty cool place. I enjoyed it. Interesting videos to watch at various stops, tons of amazing history!
Doug C — Google review
Awesome maritime displays and great information. Really loves how the tour was laid out in the time line and gives you a great idea of what happened to the ships stationed in erie. Staff and volunteers were friendly and very knowledgeable. If you like military history this is definitely a great place to check out. Don't forget your AAA Card, we saved $6.

Nature & Parks
The Tom Ridge Environmental Center at Presque Isle State Park is a comprehensive complex that offers insights into the park's history and the Great Lakes region. It serves as a museum, welcome center, and gift shop, providing visitors with an introduction to the unique history of Presque Isle and educating them about its diverse ecosystems and wildlife. The 65,000 square-foot facility features historical exhibits, educational displays, and a 75-foot observation tower offering panoramic views of Lake Erie and the surrounding countryside.
We were greeted at the entrance by towers of Automatons, learned about issues Lake Erie faces like plastics and invasive species, climbed the observation tower, and watched an amazing film about Space! Except for the film the Enviromental Center is free! The staff there was friendly and very patient with my active children.

Discover the rich history and diverse species of the Presque Isle area at this engaging stop. Be sure to visit the gift shop and enjoy the stunning lookout from the tower.

Our toddler loved it the little children discovery center. Free to enter would be perfect for rainy days. Was nice to play on little playground outside. Also we got our PA stake park book stamped at the information booth for erie bluff and presque isle .

We stopped here on a Sunday morning in September on our way to Presque Isle state park. We only came here because we saw that they had an observation deck. You take an elevator up (or you can take the stairs if you choose) and it’s a nice view - we saw some turkeys. The rest of the center has several interactive exhibits and learning opportunities. This would be good for kids. We looked around a little bit but didn’t stay very long. We got a map of the park from the front desk. The people there were friendly and helpful. There was no cost to enter and no fee for the observation deck. There was plenty of parking and no line to get in.
Miss V — Google review
Outstanding display and educational activities related to Presque Isle and Lake Erie. Observation tower with extensive views, massive 6,500 foot screen theatre with quality shows and interactive activities for children and adults. This is an Erie gem
Nancy E — Google review
On this trip to Erie, we made it to the center before closing hours. The tower view of the lake was lovely on today's crisp blue-sky day. On the second floor, there was a very nice display of mixed medium artwork by a fairly local artist to view and/or purchase. The display of "lake memories" from my generation and older reminded me of Sundays spent on lake Erie (by Buffalo) with extended family. Loved it! Very helpful, friendly volunteers and staff. I just wish they ran the last showing of the film closer to closing time. We missed the last showing by minutes but still had 90 minutes to tour the center.
Susan F — Google review
Tower was cool and it was awesome for them allowing this to be free. Museum was neat. They only compliant would be the crazy faucets in the restroom. Not sure how someone can wash their hands properly with having to hold onto the metal device for water to come out. No way you are able to clean your hands, more like spreading germs to everyone.
H — Google review
Amazing and educational FREE center! So many displays full of history and information that is so valuable. Whether you are a visitor to Erie or a local, this place is like a museum that anyone can enjoy. I loved going up the tower to see the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding areas. The employees/volunteers here were so nice, helpful and gave us tons of useful information. Can’t wait to come back on my next trip to the area.

The Cork 1794, located in Erie, PA, is a perfect spot for an intimate dining experience or a meaningful gathering. The restaurant offers a limited food menu featuring delectable dishes such as sweet crab corn cake appetizer and blackberry mustard pork shank entree. Guests can also indulge in eclipse-themed drinks like the Blackout Martini and Midnight Mojito. The venue provides cozy indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio with fireplaces and televisions.
We had an excellent meal by any and all standards. Solid 5 stars for food and service. The atmosphere decor is modern and upscale. But as many other reviewers noted, the noise level is high. I measured 100 Db, same as a motorcycle. But it was clear the Management had taken steps to deadening noise. Carpets, sound baffles on the ceiling, fabric wall covering. But it was still so loud that conversation was difficult and I couldn't make out what the server said. We had reservations and were immediately seated. It took a moment for the server to come but when she did she was friendly and professional. The menu was relatively small but contained a lot of detail. Prices were high, $35-45 for most entrees. We selected a variety of items, jambalaya, scallops, burgers. Having a Kids Menu was a nice touch. We had two young people 10 & 6with us and they were comfortable and welcomed. The touch screen devices to keep kids occupied were a great idea. The food came in short order and at first glance the portion seemed small. But the dishes were deep and the portion was very good. My jambalaya was excellent. Flavorful with lots of chicken, sausage and shrimp. The scallops got rave reviews. We didn't see much of the servers. No refills, bread or dinner rolls offered. One detail that I really liked was the heavy, substantial flatware. No hollow pressed junk. This was substantial which added gravitas to the meal. We really enjoyed the meal. And given the tab, that is a good thing. I would jump at the opportunity to go back to The Cork as long as I can convince someone else to pickup the tab.
Gary C — Google review
The food was amazing! We were a little bummed at first cause they told us lunch serving will start at 3 PM, and I was really set on trying their lunch menu instead of the breakfast/brunch options. But honestly, the brunch quantity and quality totally surprised me – in a good way! I lovvved the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. Didn’t like the taste of rib of The Short Rib Grilled Cheese. I also think the interior’s design was cook; it definitely seems like a nice spot for lunch!
Fatemeh R — Google review
Highly recommend coming to The Cork. They made our family celebration so special. With sparkler candles in the dessert to the knowledgeable staff. The only reason why I put 4 star for service is because our plates weren't cleared quickly and drinks weren't filled swiftly; otherwise 5 stars all the way. My compliments to the chef. You won't regret coming here

We love love love the Cork and all of the amazing staff that work there, especially the bartenders. Great food and nice atmosphere. Many good memories here. I have attached a number of photos from lunches, dinners and brunch from over the years.
Austin H — Google review
My go-to place, maybe the BEST steakhouse in Erie. And they are no longer SLOW and truly impress me. Though I still miss the American steak house who just filled bankruptcy in March. They are better in dry aged flavor, less juicy, just dry and decent like my favorite restaurant in Philly Barclay prime. But since it is no more. Cork is my favorite now. Lol I don't think I would visit here very often though. They have a bigger portion than Americans. It can more than 1000 calories, a truly luxury to me. I need to diet first and come to enjoy. They forget to bring a pen for tips. But I will comeback I would tip for sure. But please remember it, cuz some folks may just skip it. 😂 Last thing, I think $100 is a little expensive for a lunch. Hopefully they would also offer lunch steak like American do. I am good with $50-60 a lunch meal. If they do, I would come like 2-3 times a week. 😂 But they are good. Thanks. Now I need to do some exercises trying to lose this extra calories.

We make sure to stop here when visiting from Ohio. Amazing firecracker shrimp that’s the best we’ve ever had. The pear and goat cheese chicken salad was a new item that was also phenomenal. Great patio, too.

Great atmosphere and service. Bartenders and managers make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. Their menu adds new options and drinks every season so you’re not just looking at the same options every-time you go.

We love the food and the atmosphere here! Especially love the shrimp appetizer. So good. We also like to just come and have a few drinks at the bar. They make great drinks and give friendly service.

Brewery
The Brewerie at Union Station is a lively bar and eatery in Erie, known for its handcrafted ales and classic bar snacks. Situated in the historic mid-19th century Union Station, this unique restaurant offers various dining experiences across its Tap Room, Rotunda, private balcony, and Trackside Beer Garden. The menu features hearty pub-style food like pierogies and beer battered fish & chips, alongside distinctive beers such as the Apparition Amber Ale.
The atmosphere is uniquely cool. It's worth checking out if you're in town. The booths are great if you can get one. Cool Koehler advert section towards the entrance. Beer is good. Food is fine, but go mostly for the beer and atmosphere and you'll have a good time. Even the bathrooms are cool. Parking is metered parking through quarters or an app (check to see what time you're parking, as it's free at certain times in the evening / Sunday I think). Use the entrance on the right for the entrance and follow the signs. They have lots of events. It's a big place, so sometimes certain sections are fully blocked off, but usually one is available.
John H — Google review
The previous Union Train Station in Erie, PA has been tastefully converted to a brewery and restaurant. They kept the charm of the building which can be verified by old pictures scattered around the walls. The Braised Pulled Pork Sandwich is moist and delicious. They serve an “Apparition Ale” - very good BTW. Story goes a dad swung his luggage around to check on his daughter behind him and the little girl was knocked down stairs and died. She supposedly shows up occasionally. There are numerous tunnels under the station that were used to move luggage and such I was told. You can pay to tour them infrequently in haunted tour.
Paul Z — Google review
The overall space is amazing. It is an old train station that has been converted into a brewery. They are keeping the history of the building alive, which is super cool and increasingly rare. They had a nice selection of beers on tap. We really enjoyed the Silk Bomb, which is their flagship stout. We didn't get to try the food, but it looked tasty. Very friendly staff welcomed us. They had 4 packs to go and some merchandise available. Overall if you're in the area it is worth it to check it out.
Dave P — Google review
I usually don’t take the time to review restaurants, but had to say something about this place. We found it on a whim from a google search when on a family vacation in Erie. First off, the ambiance is amazing. It was so cool seeing the history of this building. I think I was constantly looking around the whole time we were there. Not only did my husband and I both absolutely love the beers that we tried, but we were blown away by the food as well. I got one of the Mac and cheese dishes and he had the honey salmon special. It’s very rare to have a cool atmosphere, great service, amazing drinks, and delicious food- but this place offered it all.
Sarah D — Google review
Such a unique and beautiful place! A converted train station with many of the original design features intact. One can almost see and hear the hustle and bustle of years gone by. The food was fantastic! My husband and one friend ordered the pork chop special and raved about it. I had the pulled pork Mac & Cheese. It was delicious and plentiful. Sadly, our server couldn’t have cared less about our table. She seemed bored. It was not crowded yet we waited ages for her to simply take our drink order. Then we waited again…I finished my iced tea(delicious) and water and finally had to ask another server for more water. Once dinner was brought to the table, she disappeared again. We had all planned to order dessert, as the offerings sounded great. Server brings the bill never having checked on us or offering desserts. She seemed put out when we said we’d like dessert. Server totally killed what would have been a fabulous dinner experience.
Allison — Google review
This place is so interesting inside, and they have kept some of the nostalgia from the train station days. Really high ceilings, and open area make it feel less crowded than it is at times. They kind of messed up our reservation, and we had quite a delay, but they were very busy that night, and were able to get things situated for us. Food was good, and menu has something for almost everyone. Beer tastes good, I liked the Silk Bomb and the Gould King (pumpkin beer).
I M — Google review
Our food and service was fantastic! Highly recommend the Mac and cheese, both the buffalo chicken and pulled pork. We also tried the deep fried raspberry cheesecake and it was sooooo good! We did the 6:30 tour and going down into the tunnels was quite an experience. I would like to suggest that the tour guide set some rules or expectations prior to starting the tour. Someone in front of me was vaping while we were inside the building. And we had some rude, inconsiderate people on our tour that really put a damper on our experience. Overall the tour was a good experience but it could have been better!

Cloud 9 Wine Bar & Restaurant is a delightful blend of casual charm and sophisticated dining, making it a must-visit spot in Erie, PA. This inviting eatery offers an array of globally inspired dishes alongside an impressive selection of wines, craft beers, and cocktails. Whether you're looking to unwind with friends over a refreshing beer or enjoy a romantic dinner date, Cloud 9 promises an unforgettable culinary experience that will leave your taste buds dancing.
The experience I had today at Cloud 9 was phenomenal, service was quick our waiter Harrison was very friendly, well attentive to asking if we needed anything. He had taken very good care of us. Ordering was smooth and quick. We waited about 15 minutes max for the food. When it arrived, it had looked very delightful. I had ordered the Angus Burger. The first few bites into the burger were very extraordinary with a satisfying sensation of flavors. With the fries as well being fresh and savory. One of the best burgers with the side of fries I have ever had.
Shuyler M — Google review
Was visiting Erie for the eclipse and decided to try Cloud 9 for dinner. For starters, I had the French Onion soup and my friend had the lamb meatballs. She said the meatballs were delicious and well seasoned. The soup had good flavor, but the slice of cheese they laid on top wasn’t broiled to crispy but tasted a little burnt. For dinner, she had the shrimp scampi risotto and I had the flat iron steak salad special. The shrimp were well cooked but the risotto was very acidic. The steak salad was good, but the steak was overcooked. Homemade blue cheese dressing was delicious though. Overall a decent meal, but overpriced for what we received.
Alexandra K — Google review
The duck was really good, but my date got the tacos and it didn't say they were spicy anywhere in the menu and she couldn't eat them. Besides that it was a great experience.

We are unsure why this restaurant only has a 4.5 rating on Google. In our estimation it should be at least a 4.7 or 4.8. The drinks were amazing and the food was out of this world. From the croque madame flatbread, duck wings and peach salad to the chimichurri salmon and seared duck breast, the food was well seasoned and excellently prepared. The lemon blueberry tart and creme brulee were an amazing end to a stellar meal. We highly recommend and will return.

I couldn't get over just how much space is behind the bar! If the bar didn't have such ballroom dancing space behind it, I'm sure there would be room for at least 6 more 4-tops. Just the same, it is nice for the bartender to be able to have that much room, I suppose and when it is busy, maybe the two bartenders could dance! The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The recipes were standard Americana, although many were clearly French-inspired. I had so much fun visiting this restaurant, which, based on the website as well as the interior design, leads as much more of a wine bar than a restaurant. They have a full menu and a full bar, so don't be fooled - and the selections are all quite impressive, foods and drinks. I asked the bartender to pair my wine for me - she did a perfect job. I loved the escargot and the salmon so very much. Those around me were friendly. It feels like a welcoming neighborhood bar, right in the heart of the city. I had a lovely experience.

Our time at cloud 9 was great! The wine was good, the food was delicious (got the mahi sushi special), and Heather our bartender gave us wonderful service and was overall just fun to chitchat with. She helped us make some flights and gave suggestions and really knew her stuff. I really enjoyed eating and drinking there, and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Erie.

I have visited this restaurant several times because my friends were inviting me there. Personally it would not be my choice because I am observing how the service is declining there. Last time I was there celebrating a birthday and learned that you have to pay $80 to make a reservation… which already seem high. It also doesn’t make sense to charge it if everyone came in. Typically it is just a hold that gets released when party shows up. Apparently not here. You will get it charged and they also tried to prove that it was credited towards the bill, when clearly it was not. It took a long time to get that $80 back. There are positive things I could say, but this charge instead of just hold and them trying to prove that it was credited to the bill when it was not on any receipt just made me very upset. Not how you run a business.

This was a very nice place! It is right next to a parking garage, which makes it convenient IF you are ok spending $5 on parking. There is even a backdoor entrance from parking garage. The atmosphere is very nice, and the service is top notch. 👌 The drink selection was huge (and delicious), and the menu was a nice size with both reasonable and pricey meals, depending on your budget.

Oliver's Rooftop is a trendy restaurant with amazing views, perfect for celebrating special occasions. The food is delicious and affordable, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The beer garden is also kid-friendly, with great views of the city skyline.
Thank you Oliver’s for the most incredible dinner for my mother’s birthday. The food and service were fantastic! The drinks were delicious! The view was beautiful! Our waiter knew the menu inside and out and was able to answer every question. We loved the birthday dessert so much - I need that waffle on the brunch menu! I can’t wait to come back!

My experience at Oliver’s rooftop was very memorable. My waiter John was really awesome and fun, He remembered every detail of my order and really went above and beyond. I loved the Lobster & Shrimp Bisque soup, it was probably the best one I have ever tasted. The Salmon was good and served with very tasty rice. I would recommend the PARMESAN HERB-CRUSTED WALLEYE as it is a rare and delicious fish dish. The view of Lake Erie was Breathtakingly beautiful and I will definitely be back again soon!

Booked a table 7pm indoor seating for a birthday celebration via Google. Arrived with no wait escorted to table. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. Specials shown from an IPad at our table displaying each dish. Drinks shown are "War of 1812" on left, and espresso martini on the right of photo. Appetizer special was Lobster stuffed mushrooms, as shown, and Lobster Bisque shown as starter from the menu. Delectable. Entree breaded chicken with a caper sauce, which I had never tried before. Delicious sauce and chicken was moist. Side salad as shown with requested dressing. Second dish was a special as well, NY Strip and Hotseradish Steak Fries, cooked to perfection as asked Medium-Rare. Full bar and specialty drinks per menu. If I could rate higher I would! And not to mention, THE VIEWS!!

FANTASTIC! Not only was the food absolutely outstanding, but the service was truly next-level—impeccable from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, Julian, the host, welcomed us with warmth and genuine friendliness, making us feel right at home. Manager Zach personally stopped by to check in and made sure everything was perfect, which was such a thoughtful touch. But the real standout was our server, Kenyon—hands down one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had! Attentive, personable, and incredibly professional, Kenyon went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

We went last night for our anniversary. We had requested a window seat, but when we arrived, they were all full, so we were seated in the general area. Shortly after we were seated though, a table opened up at the window, and they moved us over to it. We really appreciated their willingness to accommodate our request. Our waitress was great, the food was great, the views were great (the outdoor glass could maybe use a cleanup though). Great experience, wouldn't hesitate to go back for another special occasion!

Our 2nd time eating here! Absolutely outstanding service. Wait staff is superior to any other place we've eaten! Food is so well prepared and poised on the plate your liable to take photos before you eat, I did. We drove 80 minutes up to Eerie just to eat here again. We'll be back in 2 years when our event returns in 2027. If you go ask for John or Zach they are wonderfully caring people, who listen. We requested a window seat and John as our waiter. We got a wonderful seat at the window with our beloved waiter John.

Wonderful food, service and views. Ordered the surf and turf special along with a NY strip and both steaks were cooked to perfection, the side dishes were great and the portion size hearty. Our server Laurie was amazing and finding out we were there for a special occasion brought out a celebratory dessert. Highly recommend for a nice night out and a special treat.

Spectacular Restaurant! While Traveling across America, I stopped to visit my friends Rick and Janet York who surprised me with an invitation to enjoy lunch at Oliver's! I must say it it was the perfect pairing of food, atmosphere, service, and views! I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity to experience the best of Erie!

Italian restaurant
Mi Scuzi is a charming trattoria in Erie, Pennsylvania, known for its authentic Italian cuisine and warm ambiance. This family-owned restaurant takes pride in offering a taste of the Mediterranean with a menu inspired by traditional dishes from southern Italy. The rustic decor and cozy atmosphere create an inviting setting for enjoying homemade pastas, fresh salads, mussels, sausage, prosciutto, and more.
Such a nice place!! I have the ravioli w 2 meatballs added. My boyfriend had the stuffed shells w chicken and alfredo. For an appetizer we shared ricotta stuffed zucchini blossoms that had a bacon jam with them and green goddess. The portions were huge! Our waitress was very nice and professional and able to answer all my questions about the menu items. The food came out quickly and hot. Highly recommend for a fancy date night out

First time at this restaurant. It was good, but not great. The bread with dips was our table choice for appetizer but I missed the photo. Fig jam and artichoke dip were the best out of all of the options. Chicken piccata is my standard go to order when on the menu for a first time visit. This sauce was thicker and somewhat gelatinous, with a hint of gravy flavor instead of the buttery lemon I expect in a good piccata. Capers were mushy and lost their flavor impact in the thick sauce. Really wanted it to be better. Overall those at the table were happy with their meals. It was lasagna night so there were a variety of lasagnas that came with a half salad so if you’re into lasagna covered in melty cheese then Wednesday nights are the night to go! Pictured the piccata, lasagna Alfredo primavera, and Godiva chocolate cake

First time dining experience, immediately after walking in our waiter Tray warmly invited us in and made us feel like we were with a friend, such a warm friendly atmosphere. Food arrived just ten minutes after ordering while we enjoyed a drink from the bar and the most amazing garlic knots with fresh Parmesan. Chicken Alfredo was incredible and the HUGE portion of prime rib on a fresh bread open faced sandwich was heavenly! Such generous portions and very fair prices! Such a wonderful experience can’t wait to go back and spreading the positive word! Definitely a great place to eat for delicious authentic Italian food!

The food was okay. I really enjoyed the wedding Italian soup, but I didn't like the sausage on the saltimbocca, and I didn't know the pasta came separate from the sauce. We had a wonderful waitress, though – she was amazing. I really liked the service. The vibe was also cozy and interesting. Ooh and try Tiramisu!

Wow it’s pricey! $36 for the trio and $31 for chicken Alfredo. Among the trio, the manicotti was good. Super cheesy. The mushroom was good, the chicken florentine seemed a bit tough and the chicken Alfredo was a bit watery. Full blooded Italian- worked previously at Romas. Personally think Romas has better portions and you get a salad and I like the red aioli at Romas with the bread. Although as we all know, working for Scott’s and everything about Scott’s isn’t usually kind or polite. However I digress, love the ambiance here, beautiful, exquisite vibe. The lighting is perfect. Just very pricey without a side salad included. Marinara sauce is nice and sweet, light, flavorful but could maybe use some more oregano. Overall, I’d give it five stars but they could bring the price of each down to about $25 Alfredo and $25 for the trio and they would do more business- well, place seems to be doing well for itself, very lively for a Wednesday evening. Thank goodness for the fine dining card. It came to $93 without tip! No disrespect but you can go to valerios for 1/3rd the price and get a salad lol. The head chef or manager greeted us at the door, said it’s the best food around. Seemed nice, but was hoping he would’ve came to our table.

Had early dinner reservations on New Year's Eve. It was a Prix Fixe menu with plenty of selections. Everything was delicious. My fillet mignon was cooked perfectly as were the other entrees for everyone in our party of 6. I would recommend Mi Scuzi for special occasions because the total for dinner will likely be over $200 for 2 entrees along with a few drinks or bottle of wine. Their lunch menu may be a little less expensive so that could be an option to visit this restaurant for great Italian food on a tighter budget.

This was a fabulous meal! I read a lot of the reviews and was a bit concerned but everything was wonderful. Starting with our Server, Olivia. She was so friendly, quick and checked back. She brought fresh hot garlic knots out and they have fresh parm grated in the butter sauce. I asked for some red sauce to dip and just wow! I had to move them away because I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat my dinner. They were delectable! My Son had the chicken Alfredo and it was very good. I did find the sauce to be a bit too garlicky for my taste, but he enjoyed it. The pasta seemed like it was house made. Very fresh! The sauce is not runny as others describe. It is really the perfect consistency and thickens a bit as it cools. I had the ravioli grande. I highly recommend! The pasta seems homemade as well. The pasta itself is tender and filled to perfection with a truly pillowy , cheesy filling that pairs so well with the savory red sauce. A wee bit on the salty side. Truly delicious though! I was as suspected totally full after eating half of the meal. I’m looking forward to a wonderful lunch tomorrow. He had the chocolate cake for dessert which was also super large and have some to take home and I had the spumoni. All fabulous. I recommend this restaurant. Love that you can reserve on open table. They close at 6 on Sunday, so grab a reservation. Tons of easy parking!

The restaurant looks great and we love the owner. However, at this new location with higher pricing the servers should be knowledgeable. Our server answered "I don't know" to every question. She did not know about the wines offered, she seemed unclear about the offerings. She almost sat us at a booth that was on top of the pasta bar. Seriously, the place was empty with better seating available. I had the clams with pasta and I have never seen clams that small. The vodka sauce with breaded chicken was very good. I did think the portions were small for men anyway. We enjoyed our evening with friends but when we were leaving I noticed my wife had sauce on the lower back of her skirt in several places. New outfit, she wasn't happy. Someone before us had obviously spilled it and the booth was never cleaned properly for the next party. Just a suggestion.
