Sights & Landmarks
Old Mission Santa Ines, founded in 1804, is a historic Spanish mission located in Solvang, California. It has withstood natural disasters and periods of neglect but continues to operate as an active parish church and museum. Named after Saint Agnes of Rome, the mission offers guided tours through its museum, church rooms, and garden via an audio tour.
We walked here right at opening time on a Sunday. Unfortunately, the church was closed due to renovations, but the person in the gift shop said that we were allowed to wander around the premises. The backdrop of this mission is gorgeous with green Hills and a stations of the cross area that people can walk around. We had a really nice time walking around and enjoying the surroundings.

This is my 2nd time to visit Solvang and the Mission. This time we had more time to explore it and walk through the stations of the cross. We also found out that there is a rose garden here. I think most of the Missions have rose gardens so you better check it out. They have really interesting rose varieties. The Mission sells souvenir items, rosary beads, postcards and pendants too. We found a quiet place and sat in one of the benches facing the fields. It was a nice place to visit.

First time visiting Santa Ines Mission. The chapel was under construction and closed. The entire property is beautiful. The views are stunning and breathtaking. Everything is well maintained and clean.

I have seen this in the day. But the night is a different story. speechless to walk it in silence at night is breathtaking.
The W — Google review
Like most of the mission on the Camino Real (Royal Road) in California this one centers on a sizable Adobe Church and a small religious community with old shady trees and grapevines. Unfortunately, it has been under major renovation for quite some time and it is impossible to look inside of the structure except a peak from the door if you buy a ticket. Seems hardly worthwhile to buy a ticket just to peek in the door. It would be far more productive if they could offer a nice explanatory pamphlet or signage along with a brief entrance to the area that is not being heavily worked on just so visitors could get a real feel for the place.

They have catholic mass here in the morning and it was a nice experience. The view and ambiance of the area is perfect. The place is quiet and has a lot of parking spot. A must visit here in solvang. Gift shop is a bit pricey but its fine donation for the church.

Cozy, lovely church. They have a tour from what I hear.

It's very beautiful. Didn't see a graveyard. Or maybe the natives didn't get one

Museums
Nestled in the charming city of Solvang, the Elverhøj Museum of History & Art stands as a tribute to Danish culture and heritage. This unique museum, which opened its doors in 1988, is located in the former residence of celebrated artist Viggo Brandt-Erichsen and his wife Martha Mott. It showcases an impressive collection that spans various forms of art, including photographs and traditional crafts like wooden clog making and lace-making.
This a such a wonderful free museum filled with the history of the town. I absolutely love it and hate that I didn’t have more time to take it all in… You can make a donation! The hours are Thurs-Mon 11am-5pm. They have gifts, souvenirs, books and jewelry. The large gallery is filled with modern art. There is a room with video where people discuss the history of town. I didn’t have time to watch but recommend because the history is very interesting. We learned that only 10% of town are Dutch descendants and the store front Dutch theme started in 1940’s. The garden is simply beautiful and has outdoor seating. I highly recommend visiting this museum!!!

It's a small and beautiful museum. I have enjoyed their art collection. There is an entry fee of $5 for adults.
Pavan K — Google review
The best museum in solvang! All the other museums around the city are just okay. And some, in my opinion, are overpriced. You get a lot for 5 dollars. This is shared with a lot of danish history and how the town became the way it was. Their wonderful facility and well kept back area of the building where you can see a miniaturized version of the city that it once was a number of years ago. Even the employee that was over there was from denmark and was gonna go on a trip. We're a month back home. She gave us a lot of history lessons the building.

It's a small museum but it gives you a tour of the past on the foundation of Solvang. Very interesting. It costs $7dlls the entrance. It has a restroom. You can play an activity of looking for hidden things on the paintings in the gallery. We spent about 30 mins total. Must see!
Rosalba T — Google review
Elverhøj Museum and Art is a small hidden museum gem in the heart of Solvang. In Danish it means Elve’s Hill. With community support, the Museum documents the history of Solvang. Visitors can spend ~30 mins to see the entire museum. Admission is very affordable. Exhibits were decent enough to learn the town’s history. Staff was affable. Gift shop is tiny. Backyard is lovely and well maintained. Street Parking only. Overall, I recommend this museum. It’s a piece of history.
Carlo N — Google review
This is a lovely little museum and I learned so much about the history of Solvang, Danish life and migration, and how the power of the press can change the fortune of an entire community. The contemporary quilt exhibition "Cloth as Canvas" that drew me there, as recommended by friends, was delightfully well-curated, showcasing many techniques and styles of different artists that still flowed in a cohesive gallery experience.
Claire W — Google review
This museum is a must see when you are exploring solvang.Might be a little small museum but the content was worth it. Detailed history and some antiques to see here. They even have a miniature of the town and viking chainmail with a lot of must see stuffs.
Tap N — Google review
What a lovely and interesting place! It's a house in a residential neighborhood, former owner donated it to be a museum. Built in the old style with no nails. Excellent and detailed history on Danish immigration to the U.S., as well as the specifics of Danes establishing Solvang. Interesting artifacts, photos, furniture, movies, beautiful gardens. Small place but we were there for more than an hour and neither of us are Danish, it was just interesting and well presented history.

The Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum is a storefront museum that showcases an impressive collection of vintage racing motorcycles from the United States, Japan, and Europe. Established in 2000 by local motorcycle enthusiast Virgil Elings, the museum features around 95 unique motorcycles for visitors to admire up close. Among its notable exhibits are rare racing machines like the Vincent Grey Flash, Britton V1000, and a supercharged version of the iconic British-built Vincent Black Lightning.
Hidden gem! The Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum is an absolute must for any motorcycle enthusiast or history buff. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a stunning collection of bikes, each one showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of a bygone era. The range of motorcycles on display is impressive—everything from rare vintage models to iconic classics. It’s clear that a lot of passion and care goes into preserving these machines. The detailed descriptions accompanying each bike provide fascinating insights into their history and significance. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, eager to share stories about the motorcycles and their origins. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, which adds so much to the experience. The museum itself is clean, well-organized, and beautifully laid out. You could easily spend hours here admiring the bikes, soaking in the nostalgia, and learning about the evolution of motorcycling over the decades. Highly recommend this place to anyone with a love for motorcycles or a curiosity about automotive history. A must-visit if you’re in the area!
Robert E — Google review
Add this to your itinerary and you will not regret it!! The guy there was soo knowledgeable, he was very refreshing to learn from and you could tell he’s passionate about what he does. Even you’ve visited before, it is worth going again because they rotate the bikes on display. Almost every bike is accompanied with a short paragraph, and the accompanying artwork and decoration all around the store is fun to look at. He’s very clear and encouraging about taking as many pictures as we want, but no touching (obviously). It’s very nice to be able to walk around, appreciate every detail and not feel rushed. Take note that it is CASH ONLY as of 04/13/25. We went in the morning near opening, and it got busier closer to noon. Although we didn’t experience a wait to go in and didn’t run into too many people, once it picks up it might feel a bit crowded because they walkways aren’t wide. They kinda just go in a square, so there’s not much space to maneuver around groups or other people. I would recommend going early to avoid crowds, or find a time where you can have the place almost all to yourself.
Jimeah C — Google review
Unique collection of rare and fascinating motorcycles. The docent gave me a 1 on 1 tour and running commentary on the collection. Well worth the time to visit.

We had a real blast here. The motorcycles are beautiful. In the ride out here from Los Angeles with Pure Bliss.

$10 to endter bot bad for such a great collection. My personal favorite was the Britten V1000.

Excellent, intimate, casual display of motorcycle history. I like very much how easy it is to get up close and personal, examining these beautiful specimens of motorcycle history. The Crocker on display was gorgeous. Wish they made modern bikes that look like that today. Being an Indian fan. I have photos of that brand to share. Many brands I was unaware existed. Excellent collection. My new place to go to while wife spends money downtown.
John F — Google review
Nice, clean and intimate. The curator was extremely knowledgeable about the motorcycles and has a close relationship with the owner which adds to the experience!
Lex — Google review
The location is great even though there is limited parking. They are open only during weekends but, open during the weekdays by appointment. There is a $10 fee for entry. The amount of bikes makes it well worth the admission price. If you happen to get Daniel he is a wealth of information and all-around great guy to talk with.

The Hans Christian Andersen Museum is a small, charming museum located in Solvang, dedicated to the life and works of the legendary Danish author. Despite never visiting Solvang himself, his cultural impact is celebrated here through exhibits featuring original letters, photographs, and artwork by Andersen. The museum offers insights into his childhood home and famous stories like 'The Little Mermaid' and 'The Princess and the Pea.'
Womderful and quaint annexed section within a European village styled bookstore. You can check out the beautiful displays as well as talk to the attentive curates about the items exhibited. The space is very limited but is a worthwhile visit to feel and experience the Solvang charm.

If you are a fan it’s a great little museum to visit. I enjoy it and like that since he was Dutch they created this museum. Learned that he was bisexual, had no clue. That’s the thing about traveling and visiting sites; learn things you never knew and see things you heeds of but never saw!!! This is a great town and great place to visit. We enjoyed all it had to offer!!

Nice little museum about Andersen's life. You can also find books of his stories there.
Airben — Google review
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at the bookstore today. Apparently, during our visit, my son had thrown a book, but the people working there didn’t mention this to myself or my husband. When we were checking out, the individual asked why we weren’t purchasing that book. The remark was made in a very rude way, and again, this was not addressed real time. When I tried to speak with the individual about children with special needs and how we are trying to implement a love of reading for our son, she was very dismissive. We go to used bookstores around the country and have never been treated this way. Buyer beware if you have children with special needs or are different than what they may want in their store. Of note - any book that my son touched was not in any way damaged and all were returned to their proper shelf.
Theresa F — Google review
Just a book store with a couple of historical placards on the life & times of HCA. Was amazed to see the number of popular books he has written. Some of the titles have become commonly used phrases, like "Ugly Duckling*. His struggles culminating in grand success is an inspiring tale.

I love bringing friends through here to check it out. It's small but has its own character. I recommend coming here. Some good photo opportunities

If you like these fairy tales from Andersen, you will not want to miss this small museum and bookstore. It’s free to public. The museum is on second floor when the bookstore is on the street level. There’s no restroom for public usage. But you can find it in nearby park which is only a few steps away.

This is one of my favorite places I visited on my trip to Solvang! It is a small museum that is free but you can donate money for its cause.I might be a bit biased as I loved this author since I was a kid and I learned lots of new information about him. There was a very cute house replica and it was quite unique, I do not remember seeing anything like that in any other museum. There were shelves filled with Han's books translated into different languages, which was quite cool: not only you can see what books in other languages look like but also see the differences in art styles.

Cute park in Solvang. It's walkable from the main part of town, but once you get inside there's a few hills you'll need to tackle. Good playground for the little ones with plenty of shaded areas to have a picnic. There is also a skate park inside. You can definitely drive in, there plenty of parking and it's free to enter
Michelle — Google review
Its an okay park in that the portion of the trails that are maintained are pretty nice. Much of the trails however are very poorly maintained, highly uneven for being able to walk or jog and there are dumpsters along part of the trail. A lot of potential to be a great park but not there yet.

It has been recognized as one of the best bakeries on the West Coast by Sunset Magazine.

Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery is a must stop if you’re visiting the area. The selection of baked goods is impressive fresh pastries, cookies, and traditional Danish treats that are beautifully displayed and taste even better than they look. The shop is clean and well organized, and the atmosphere has a charming, old world vibe. Service was friendly and efficient, and there’s a nice variety of drinks to go with your pastry picks. Whether you’re just passing through or spending time in Solvang, this bakery is definitely worth a visit.

Nice great workers. Cute little bakery. I forgot the name of the item I got but it was Apple something. It was crispy and great not too sweet. My husband got eh chocolate chip cookie was great but forgot to take pic. The white chocolate macaron was too sweet for my taste but my toddler got it and didn’t finish it unfortunately.

Beautiful little bakery that has the most baked goods offerings in Solvang.. they also have a wonderful coffee menu too enjoy with your pastries... They have "dine in" or "to go".. if you choose to dine in..you order at the counter.. get seated..then they will bring your order to your table... WONDERFUL service.. this bakery encourages conversation.. they have indoor and outdoor seating.. I ordered their strawberry Danish to dine in.. and took another for later . This is a place to bring loved ones..
Campos V — Google review
The taste is not good enough to make me want to stand in line to eat it. Besides, their butter cookies have neither a barrel cap seal nor any food-grade seal. On top of that, the container is 1 lb. 4 oz. — too much to finish in a day or even in several days. Moreover, there’s no expiration date printed. These are serious issues, and they make me feel pressured to eat them quickly.
Simon K — Google review
As expected, many bakery products. All of them are delicious. We stayed at Solvang inn from where we got the free breakfast coupons but were so impressed by the food we added extra. Cookies buckets are available for take home.
Rajeev M — Google review
I wish we left with more! The traditional Danish kringle is a crowd favorite, and it's easy to understand why. The dough is light and flaky with pops of raisins and a perfect balance of sweet. Don't be intimidated by its size – it's so good, you'll wish you had more! Our favorite, though, was the cinnamon roll with pistachio! There was a custard filling, and goodness, it was delicious. On the first bite, my partner declared it the best cinnamon roll he's ever had! You'll be happy with anything from the bakery, though. The high-quality ingredients come through in every bite; nothing came across as too sweet or artificial. Olsen's Bakery has been a staple of Solvang for 56 years, and the long-running, family-operated charm is felt the moment you enter. They certainly bake with their heart and enjoy what they do. And a special thank you to Michele for all the help and suggestions. We went home with treats we wouldn't have tried normally and only wish we had more!

Danish restaurant
Restaurant
Solvang Restaurant is a charming and family-friendly spot in the Danish village of Solvang, California. It offers traditional Danish eats, including aebleskiver, which are fried pancake balls with strawberry jam, and other classic Danish pastries. While relatively few Danes live in the area today, the cultural impact they left behind is evident in this kitschy town.
Stopped in to try their famous Aebleskiver’s and they did not disappoint. They came out fast and fresh. Like little pancake balls with powdered sugar and raspberry jam. Nice to have dessert first sometimes. Shared a plate of meatballs with potatoes and gravy, veggies, and soup or salad. The menu has quite a variety. The service was friendly. Like a local family vibe. Plenty of parking nearby. The location was very clean.

"*Delayed post from Dec '24. Visited here during Lillejuleaften (Little Christmas Eve on 12/23) to enjoy the holiday atmosphere. This restaurant had great décor to keep your eyes constantly entertained, from wood carvings on the booths to miniature homes of all styles along the ceiling's border and Danish sayings painted on the wood beams. They even have a miniature store at the front where you can buy jams and flour to make your own Aebelskiver at home. It was extremely crowded when we arrived, as expected given the holiday, but thankfully we were seated immediately because we opted for the bar instead of a table. While our servers were doing their best, it was obvious they were running very behind. They didn't have any utensils for us to use and it took a very long time to get our food. We watched as plates were assembled behind the counter in front of us, then popped into the microwave to be reheated. Not the most appetizing site, but to be honest, our orders were still delicious. We ordered the Danish meatball and Danish sausage plates, both of which came with red cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy. The meatballs also came with steamed vegetables, which were the only things I didn't quite care for as they were mushy and lacked proper seasoning. The other items were great in flavor and texture, except the chicken sausage was drier than the others, most likely because the fat content was lower than say the pork link. The mustard dipping sauce was tasty and helped moisten the chicken sausage. The famous Aebelskiver was definitely worth stopping in, but with 3 large dough balls, it's just too much for 2 people to eat comfortably after a full meal. I'd recommend skipping the ice cream if you find yourself in this situation. Otherwise, you can line up at the outdoor pick up window to just order Aebelskiver and skip waiting for a table altogether. It reminded my of a funnel cake ball stuffed with raspberry jam. Delicious!"

Spacious, cozy restaurant with laidback diner vibes. The food was very good and for the most part service was great. The food is affordable and quick to come out, and the coffee was pretty fresh.
Ashley L — Google review
Like the Red Viking nearby, Solvang Restaurant serves a hodge-podge of American diner fare and Scandinavian specialties, the latter of which I enjoy far more than the former. Thus, even though it was mid-morning, I waited out the clock until 11am, so I could order off the lunch/dinner menu, and score myself the combo plate of meatballs, sausage, mashed taters, and assorted veggies. My wife went with the open-faced sandwich plate, which was more of a DIY affair than a true sandwich. Our entire order came out far faster than expected, hot and fresh (or cold and fresh, in my wife's case). Simple. Modest. Delicious. Put a sausage, meatball, mashed potatoes, or all three in front of me, and you know I am going to be a happy camper! Regretfully, I forget to order a small batch of Aebelskivers to go, as I had intended; I can't even remember the last time I had one, and now I am kicking myself for forgetting them! I guess now I have another reason to return to Solvang! Like its name, the food here at Solvang Restaurant isn't particularly creative or fancy: it's just simple, ol' fashioned home cookin', made with love, like it came out of your grandma's kitchen, and that all by itself makes it something special. A meal here feels a little bit like coming home for the holidays. If nostalgia has a flavor, then they are serving it up here in spades. Don't miss out!

Waiting time was acceptable during peak-hour lunch (15mins). Nice decor, it brings "Danish" ambience. Food was great, the mustard sauce goes well with sausage. The Eberskiver is a must-try!

We tried the famous EBLESKIVER with Powder Sugar and Raspberry Jam topping. It is basically a fried fluffy pancake ball with powder sugar and raspberry jam poured on top of it. It’s good to try it once if you’re in the area and to get a taste of favorite Dani’s pastry.

Solvang Restaurant is breakfast spot that makes the popular Æbleskiver, a danish spherical fluffy ball pancakes. It is traditionally served around Christmas with powdered sugar and jam or fruit. While the name translates to "apple slices," modern æbleskiver don't contain apples but are made in a special pan with hemispherical wells. SR has a diner atmosphere and somewhat spacious. Comfortable seats. Staff were nice. It was my first time trying this popular Æbleskiver. It was made really fresh with golden brown look outside with soft texture in the inside. Flavor was good just like pancakes. Lol. The jam made it really nice. Make sure you got water or drink once you order. Price was inexpensive. Service was phenomenal. Danish Culture is amazing. Overall, I enjoyed my Æbleskiver. Say it one more time. Æbleskiver! Æbleskiver! :D

While some visitors have experienced issues with their orders being served cold or having long wait times, others have enjoyed the delicious food and quick seating.

Wow! Food doesn't get any more delicious and attractive than this. My blueberry crepes must have had a pint of blueberries in them. My partner had a banana split waffle. Bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, and ice cream. The service was as outstanding as the food. If I go back to Solvang, this is the first place I'm going.

Excellent Breakfast/Brunch place in Solvang if you like Crepes (particularly savory). Most other breakfast places in town have sweet Crepes. Service was excellent and so was the food that we ordered— fresh squeezed OJ, Ratatouille Crepes, European style Waffles with green apples, and Crepes Benedict. Plenary of free parking in the town. Lots of boutique shops nearby if you want to get a pleasant walk after the meal.

Must go when you're in Solvang. We went on Thursday for brunch and the food is very appetizing. The Belgian waffle was soft, fluffy and went really well with the maple syrups. The fruits were so fresh. The Danish sausage was so goof that we went home with extra fresh sausages to cook at home. The crepe was nice with the ice cream substitute. I preferred dipping my crepe in the maple syrup which was sweet enough for me.

Loved the outfits of our servers. The Belgian waffles and homemade whipped cream were good. However. with all of the ice cream, fruit, and whipped cream on the waffles, the began to get soggy pretty quickly. I cannot offer any solutions to this but I think that did slightly take away from the experience a little bit.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making sure every guest feels welcome. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place offers an unforgettable culinary experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Danish flavors in a beautiful, rustic setting!

A Must-Visit Spot in Solvang for Sausage Lovers! We stopped by in the late afternoon during a family trip to Solvang, and as sausage lovers, we were thrilled to find this place. We waited about 10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. At first, we ordered a set of three sausages with bread. But we quickly realized we wanted more—so we went back for an extra sausage and a pretzel. No regrets! What impressed us even more was the staff’s thoughtful service. When we placed our initial order, they noticed we were close to the price of the 4-sausage set and adjusted it for us—so helpful and considerate! The drinks came with free refills (up to three times), which was a nice bonus. One person in our group ordered the mildest beer, and the staff kindly gave us a heads-up that it was very smooth in flavor—perfect advice. We also ordered salads, and they brought out two separate bowls, each fresh, nutty, and full of flavor. Our whole family loved it. The service here was truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and full of little thoughtful touches. If you're visiting Solvang, this is definitely a place worth stopping by. Highly recommended!

Stopped by Copenhagen Sausage Garden while visiting Solvang. The atmosphere was fun and lively with plenty of outdoor seating and a great selection of sausages and beers. I tried a couple of different sausages — they were flavorful but a bit too salty for my taste. The sides and condiments were good, and it’s definitely a nice place to hang out with friends. Worth a try if you’re in Solvang, especially if you enjoy craft beer and a casual beer-garden vibe.

*Delayed post from Dec '24. Visited here during Lillejuleaften (Little Christmas Eve on 12/23) to enjoy the holiday atmosphere. This place had great outdoor seating with affordable beer and bar food. It was extremely crowded when we arrived, as expected given the holiday, but thankfully the line moved quickly with multiple kiosks. It's a self-seat, order at the front kind of place, so don't expect a server to wait on you. We ordered beer and pretzels and found a table to share with another couple easily. The pretzels took longer than expected to come out, but we nursed beers in the meantime. I appreciated the variety of dips available on their condiments cart as well.

Very cute little beer garden with hot dogs, danish style of course. We came back here after 8 years and it’s barely changed! Lovely atmosphere, especially on a sunny but not too warm California day or in the evening all lit up with string lights. If I were a Solvang local, I’d be a regular here.

During a June visit to Solvang, many of the restaurants were closed early. So we were happy to find this place open later and a little less expensive than other restaurants in Solvang. It was also very busy. We tried the Sausage Sampler which showcases different sausages from around the world. We chose these 3 sausages: Rod Polse, Bratwurst, & Kielbasa. We also tried the Apple & Arugula Salad and All American Burger. We enjoyed our food and the atmosphere of just being in Solvang. Seating here is all outdoors, so bring a jacket. It was chilly the night we came.

A good place to go for beer and Pretzels those were the stars of the show. Nothing too fancy, Sausages weren’t cooked to my liking (they seemed like they were thrown in the fryer.) But dip it in their array of mustards and take a big gulp of beer and it’s ok.

Sausages are good! They said the popularities are listed in order. So we picked the top three. The first one we choose the traditional style which comes with bun, some onions, and pickles. That is the best one (the denish one) !!! I would say the other two (listed second and third on the sausage lists) are a little bit salty, but still reallllly good. Well what impressed me most is the beet salad haha. Sooo fresh and so nicely chopped. That is my favorite!!!!

Irish restaurant
Fitzpatrick's Tavern is an old-fashioned Celtic pub located in downtown Solvang, offering a taste of Ireland with its upscale Irish classics and a wide selection of New American and Irish dishes. The lively atmosphere makes it a great spot for families, with options like burgers, salads, and fries for the little ones. The tavern's well-maintained decor adds to its charm, while the friendly service enhances the overall experience.
Nice Pub located in town. The food was good the service could’ve been better. I felt like the staff served us and just forgot we were sitting here. The Reuben sandwich is amazing ! The fish and chips were good/average. Fries were tasty it was in a wedge form. If I come back I’ll get the Reuben sandwich but I’ll have to be craving this to come back .

You can't go wrong if you are looking for a taste of Irish with a spin. We sat outside since the weather was gorgeous and wanted to continue watching the view. First, I should mention there is no bathroom in restaurant, it is outside in the building next door (it was clean). We ordered the Irish nachos, Shepard pie and macaroni and four cheese with chicken. Everything was really good and hot. The corned beef on salty nachos was a fun twist to nachos. The Shepard pie was a classic and very good. Adding chicken to the macaroni and cheese brought it up a couple notches. A good place to stop and eat after walking around.

Came here excited because it was suggested on a travel blog. Worst decision, this is a questionable establishment. The food is not worth the money, we ordered all different meals as a large party of 6 and were only impressed with the simple meals burgers and Philly cheese steak. There “specialty” meals on the other hand need serious work, the taste is lacking and the food was cold. When we addressed the issue of one of the meals not being warm at all the “one in charge” (female) said there’s nothing I can do about that besides heat it up. When you bite into cold ground beef and cold hard vegetables, it doesn’t entice you to want to continue eating. Especially when the meat had multiple chunks of beef fat and was seasoned like taco meat. The shepherds pie made no sense at all and was by far the worst thing to order. The chicken pot pie was slimy and just tasted like someone dumped a can of soup in a bowl, the crust was doughy and a health hazard. We never received refills on our drinks, and in addition to it we also had the worst and most inconsiderate service from the woman working. We were polite when first mentioning the dissatisfaction with our meal and she immediately became argumentative and had a tantrum like a child with her body language , saying “well this will come out of my paycheck, if you don’t eat it I’ll have to pay for it how does that make you feel?” It makes me feel like we’re also people who have to work for our money and wasting it on a $20 meal for an establishment we gave the benefit of the doubt to just to be disrespected and attacked is not okay. There was no professionalism when she also argued with giving herself a $25 tip. Even the other employee voiced that it could be altered, when she was adamant on saying that amount had to be her tip. So either way we still over paid for the lack of food/ service we had. She shouldn’t have a nasty attitude towards customers when they’re honest about their experience when she ask “ how’s everything tasting” attacking the customer and making them uncomfortable is not how to get further business. The younger male was very attentive and tried to advocate with the woman to help us remove the meal we barely touched. Unbelievable that this is even considered a respectable eating establishment, when poor food and rude “management.” Would not recommend this restaurant at all.

The worst hamburgers we ever had. I had a jalepeno based burger served on sloppy toasted rye bread that tasted like wet cardboard. My wife had the American burger that was supposed to be well done - the patty was so raw it could have been resuscitated. After complaining, we just got fobbed off. We sent our plates back hardly touched, paid in full, and left. Not recommended.

First time at this restaurant, which did not disappoint. The Calamari appetizer was perfect. Husband ordered the Shepherd's Pie and he loved it. I ordered the Short Ribs plate, which came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. It was delicious! Dessert was Bread pudding which was different than what I'm used to, however it did not disappoint. Fitzpatrick's is also a dog friendly restaurant which is a plus for us as we travel with our fur baby.

Fantastic food and awesome service in a casual setting. What a great find this Irish pub is in a plethora of Danish restaurants and bakeries. The Cobb salad, cider, and Dubliner burger were amazing. We had dinner at Fitzpatrick's Tavern last night when they were short staffed, but the service was still exceptional due to the hard work of its staff. We came here again for a late lunch the next day. We got the fish and chips, sliders, and more cider. The food and service was again exceptional.

We had no issues during our visit. This was one of the few places open late compared to all of the other restaurants. Their service was good and pretty fast in my opinion, along with great prices for their food and drinks. They charge a fee to pay with a card and luckily we had cash, we didn't see a sign or anything, we noticed on the receipt it said total with cash and total with no cash and it was about 4 to 7 dollars more with no cash, this is the only reason for taking off a star from my review. If it wasn't for this, I would have no problem giving this place a 5 star rating.

The pub was only average. The service was rushed but this I contribute to the high volume of tourists. The beer was great, while the food was just average.
