Music school
Live music venue
Brevard Music Center is a renowned summer training program for orchestral studies, piano, and opera. It hosts around 500 talented students who have the opportunity to learn and perform alongside faculty members from prestigious orchestras and universities. The center also holds a popular annual festival called Mountain Song, featuring over 100 performances by students, faculty, and visiting artists in various music genres including symphony, opera, pops, chamber music, cabaret, Americana, and jazz.
Really enjoyed my time here at Blue Ridge Guitar Camp 2023. The staff is amazing and the facilities and grounds are beyond beautiful. There couldn’t be a more perfect place for a music camp!

I just want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for the Brevard Music Center Summer Institute and all it has done for my daughter Madison. The preparation she received there has been invaluable. Madison is now a freshman Viola Performance Major at Lawrence University, where she was awarded a $152,000 scholarship. Everything Madison is doing now—musically, academically, personally—she’s already had practice with through her time at Brevard. Nothing has felt foreign or overwhelming to her. She walked onto campus confident, capable, and completely at ease, even though she’s in a new state, far from home, starting this new chapter on her own. I've always known she was gifted, but I have to give credit where it’s due—the Brevard Music Center Institute poured so much into her. The guidance, training, and encouragement she received there didn’t just strengthen her as a musician, it gave her the confidence to step into this next chapter without fear. As her parent, I will always be grateful for the role Brevard played in her journey.

A wonderful place to catch a musical performance! The students, staff, and guests are all pleasures, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Open air - with a ceiling and a nice breeze was fantastic for a summer evening.
Tate D — Google review
Both the outdoor and indoor venues here are great. The parking can be time consuming for large events so arrive early but the sound is good, and I can't imagine a bad seat.

We're grateful that we attended the Mountain Song Festival Friday afternoon. Honoring Covid requirements, we wore masks, checking in to be cleared, then waited in line to enter. Thank you Sun and clouds with a breeze. How about that? We found ourselves in second row seats that were great. What awesome music! Such talent! We loved each moment of The Steep Canyons Rangers, Oliver Wood and Mavis Staples. Thank you Brevard Music Center.

Enjoyed Wynton Marsalis concert. However, parking situation was horrible. Very unorganized and very young looking kids showing directions. Parked some vehicles 3 deep. Very congested trying to leave, and dangerous walking to vehicle in the dark. BMC should have hired law enforcement to manage parking.
Nancy L — Google review
Big big big huge parking non organized problem , plenty of parking however bumper to bumper single slow moving takes 45 min to go one mile to center , ridiculous and missing concert with reserved tickets because can’t go one mile to parking area ! So will miss first 30-45 min of beginning of concert , big not fare problem , entered to the one mile away drive to parking area 20 min in advance and sitting in a barely moving line to Winton M concert on June 25 2024 BMC needs Nees to let concert audience know they need to enter one Mile road 60 min in advance in order to park car !! The Transylvania Heritage Museum, housed in a 1890s building, offers a captivating journey through the rich history and cultural heritage of the region. Through artifacts, photographs, and genealogical exhibits, visitors can explore the area's past dating back to around 1540. The museum also hosts events and programs celebrating local traditions and history. With friendly volunteers and a gift shop offering local art and history items for sale, it provides an educational experience for all ages.
Open Thursday Friday Saturday. We were greeted with a warm welcome and we were given a wonderful tour and history lesson about aluminum Christmas Trees and many historical Christmas trees. A wonderful trip down memory lane and learned historical information about many Christmas decorations of the past! Free, but donations welcomed and appreciated!

I had an enchanting visit to the Aluminum Christmas tree exhibit. The history is 😊 delightful, well worth a visit.

Free little 3 room museum. It’s pretty small, but a great place to stroll into and enjoy if you’re in downtown Brevard.
Thirteendays — Google review
Visited the museum, for the first time, to see the aluminum tree exhibit. Parking is conveniently located next to the museum and there is a ramp at the front entrance. Volunteers were friendly and greeted guests upon entering. There is a gift shop with some small local art and history items for sale. Visitors were smiling as they walked through the 3-4 rooms filled with trees, vintage ornaments, info about the owner of the collection, and more. Job well done to all involved!

This is a very small museum, I think four rooms total. There is a lot of reading available and it seriously whetted my appetite to learn more about the history of Transylvania County. The gift shop is perfect for a person who enjoys local history. I'll be going back!

Bar
Brevard Brewing Company is a laid-back and artistic microbrewery located in downtown Brevard, NC. It offers a tasting room where you can enjoy their housemade craft beers while listening to live music. This family-owned brewery specializes in lagers and has been serving its great beer since 2012. The brewery is proud of its friendly atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot for beer lovers exploring the historic and walkable downtown area of Brevard.
Great place to have a pint. We’ve been in several times in the past few months and really enjoy the beer and laid back atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly and helpful and make sure you’re never waiting for another beer or for your check. Can’t wait for our next visit.
Ashley Y — Google review
We came in Sunday (during White Squirrel Weekend ) to try a different beer than we drank at the festival....what a mistake. The beertender wasn't friendly or warm, didn't look up to make eye contact, was quasi rude, actually, and HE made a mistake about not hearing correctly about a cider & gave me an IPA. I hate IPA more than any other beer, that's what my hubby was drinking. He didn't say sorry, didn't acknowledge he didn't hear correctly, infact he tried to do the blame game and say that's what you ordered, uh, no honey, I would never order an IPA, I know my taste buds. He had an attitude and took it away, replaced it, no eye contact, no sorry, just his pompous attitude. Needless to say, we'll never go back there or buy the brewery brand in any bottle shop if we see it around town. Beer was decent, but your front person put a bad taste in everyone's mouth. (Let me also say there were maybe 10 ppl at the bar/in brewery and half had been served so I don't want anyone thinking it was 25 deep & he was actually weeded - he was not at all, just clearly didn't want to be there). Sidenote, he didn't ask if we wanted plastic cups to walk around the district (or go to festival) and turned so fast when we ordered that you couldn't say anything else (clearly he left too fast to even hear my actual order) so when we asked for plastic cups after the fact he was even more perturbed. SMH

What a great friendly brewery! We have been several times and have really enjoyed not only the beer but other patrons at the bar. The "Local Corner" folks are great for recommendations of places to eat or nearby places to go. The bartenders always greet us with a smile and a delicious cold brew! Everyone is always welcome!
Lisa S — Google review
Very cool spot!!! We had the pleasure of passing through Brevard and it is such a cute little spot. We had picked out the brewery on the map as a reward for hiking lol. It was great. The bartender, Chris, was wonderful. He gave us a ton of recommendations on stuff to do in the area and it was a delight talking to him about his favorite beers and things. The brewery doesn’t serve food but has snacks like chips and pretzels, plus they allow outside food. Chris recommended the Mexican restaurant next door, a cafe, and even had menus ready for us. We wended up grabbing food from Big Mikes across the way. We came back for another beer and had a great time at the brewery. I loved the red ale and the Pilsner.
Valarie W — Google review
Good beer. Not much atmosphere. Bartender was a total jerk. Unfriendly and marginally rude. I will never spend my money there again.
Tim R — Google review
Best IPA I've had in a long time. Maybe ever. Highly recommend stopping in for a swig!
Owen W — Google review
**Update -decided to make sure to get pics at the brewery and venture out for a short day trip** So we’ve ventured out more than once from Asheville to this gem on-site at the brewery however when your busy even getting their basic brews at the store is still worth it. Cheers !!!
Justin C — Google review
Clean, nicely priced beers. I have to admit that I got used to a selection of different IPAs and funky styles and I am on the fence whether I should applaud this brewery for the purity of their line up and the generic names, or if it is a retro nove that will backfire. I was not too impressed with their American Lager and I couldn't shake the feeling of a skewed Feng shui.

Military Museums
The Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas in Brevard is a hidden gem for military history enthusiasts. The museum's collection, gathered over many years, includes private collections and donations from local veterans and their families. Visitors can explore exhibits covering various wars, from WWII to the War on Terror, and learn about the experiences of area veterans through Living Histories. The passionate volunteers offer personal insights during tours, adding to the experience of viewing the diverse collection of well-curated artifacts and historic items.
This is a very good museum focused on the Veterans and War of the US. It is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Admission is free but donations are welcome. The Museum provides terrific insight in the wars, the equipment, the challenge, and features Veterans from North Carolina. It is organized to walk from room to room. Rooms are dedicated to each war, various branches of service, and more. There are historic items from each war including World War I, World Work II, the Cold War, the Korean War, and War on Terror. It has a lot of equipment including guns, jeeps, and motorcycles from each war. As you tour, you see the tragedies, unique conditions and issues of conditions under which the warrior has to fight from the trenches of WWI to the chemical warfare of the War on Terror. It is very well done and a LOT to see. The pictures give a good idea of all that the Museum offers. Veterans are volunteers at the Museum and gladly share information and their story.

Very well done. The displays and videos were interesting and relevant. Great interviews. Very helpful staff. We will go back next time we are in Brevard.

This free museum is a hidden gem. The passionate volunteers gave us a personal tour and personal insights from their own lives which just added to the great experience. They have an amazingly diverse collection of unique and well curated artifacts, mementos and historic items. Individual rooms commemorate the history of wars from WWI to present day conflicts. The videos that play in each room are professional and help bring to life the history. Some items are rare and one of a kind like a swatch of fabric and brick from Hitler's Eagle Nest Hideout. Don't miss the full size 1943 Jeep. Wall of remembrance is moving and provides a way to help fund museum operations. Make it a part of your day in downtown Brevard.
Chad S — Google review
I went once with my father and will be going back soon with my boyfriend. Extensive collection as well as posters explaining who owned/ used each item. The staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and overall amazing to talk to. I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to visit, and would urge anyone and everyone to come visit as well :)
Kyona A — Google review
My 15 year old grandson is interested in World War 1. I was excited to see that this museum was just 15 minutes from our home. Each branch of service has their own room as well as each war or conflict. The volunteers are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. If you love history and would like to pay your respects to service members past and present. Stop by this little museum.
Regina O — Google review
This is a fantastic veteran volunteer operated museum in Brevard, NC worth a visit if you are in the area and interested in military history. It is a repository of military history from WWI through the modern day. Each room features unique artifacts (uniforms, weapons, photos) which are only supported by the volunteers own stories about the items and their own military experience. While the museum has artifacts that may surprise some visitors like bring back flags, these also tell a valuable story and are not presented in any manner that glorifies America’s former enemies. Take your time, ask questions, and really look through each gallery as there are some real gems that have been donated and that are on display. Look forward to seeing how this museum continues to grow.

Silvermont Mansion and Park is an 8-acre estate in Brevard's downtown district, featuring a Colonial Revival mansion and well-maintained gardens. The mansion, with 33 rooms including a museum, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can explore the wheelchair-accessible path through the gardens, as well as enjoy basketball courts, tennis courts, a children's playground, and picnic areas.
Love walking my small pup Jack here. There’s a paved path that meanders around the perimeter of the property, through a variety of mature trees, providing shade and interesting specimens to view. Each season offers pretty foliage or blooms to enjoy. There’s a lovely garden with benches and a pollinator garden along the path. You can spot white squirrels and a variety of birds at Silvermont. There is plenty of parking and public rest rooms on-site.

I really enjoyed the tour and the pumpkin festival this past weekend on October 11, 2025. I know a lot of love and hard work was put into making the experience what it was. I really appreciate all of their hard work. I wish they had different vendors and more activities. It seemed very family, friendly, and children’s centered. The live band/duet sounded great.
Rachel M — Google review
So pretty. White squirrels all over the property. The mansion was beautiful and I'm sure in spring and summer all the green spaces with the gardens are just perfect. I will come back for sure. Updated 1 year later for Halloween: the park and trail is amazing for visitors. Well worth the price for adults. The work these volunteers have done is just wonderful and cool and exciting and I am so pleased we took the chance to go down and enjoy it. The music was lovely. The pumpkins are beautifully placed and carved...just so darn creative. It was just perfect for my 2 year old T-Rex cub.

We toured the 1917 Silvermont Mansion on Thursday morning, the only time the second floor is open to visitors. The tour guide was welcoming and very knowledgeable and about the mansion and family history of the owners. The community rooms on the first floor were bustling with group activities, mostly for Seniors. We joined our daughter, two grand daughters, and yellow lab for a walk on the nature trail and the play ground.

It was a lovely home. Very interesting! Great tour guide. I highly recommend going for the second floor tour. Learned a lot about the history of the area and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This has been a place I have grown up using. They have tennis courts, basketball court, playgrounds and more. You can rent the mansion for events. My wife and I got married at Silvermont in 2007. They are always doing events on the property. It’s a great venue for almost any event.
Allan P — Google review
I grew up right across the street from Silvermont, on East Main St, and spent much of my childhood exploring and playing there on the playgrounds, tennis court, and in the house. Recently I was able to do a family photography session at the mansion and in the surrounding gardens and gazebo. It was pouring rain but we didn't mind a bit - the wide porch gave us all the shelter we needed. It was so nice to go back there and visit a place that holds such precious memories of my childhood. I am so thankful that it is still standing and well taken care of.

The Square Root is a renowned restaurant in Brevard, NC, housed in a beautifully restored building with rustic details like exposed brick and colorful paintings. The establishment boasts an art deco bar and has been consistently voted as the best lunch and dinner spot for over a decade.
Found this after striking out at another place for a Friday night dinner without reservations. Seated immediately and began a good fest! The pretzel charcuterie board was amazing and huge. Paired nicely with a French onion soup and the trout entree. Very comforting inside vibe. Tables outside were a bit too warm on this July night.

My husband and I had a rare day off together and decided to check out Brevard. We stopped in for lunch and even though it was pretty busy, we were sat right away. The food was excellent. Very fresh with generous portions. We had the fried green tomato BLT and the London broil sandwich. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back again.
Alanna T — Google review
Excellent meal, everything was tasty and presented well. Connor did a great job taking care of our table. We got there at 5:30 on a Friday and got one of the last outdoor tables before the wait started. Popular place, will be back.
Robert C — Google review
I loved this place, a fun restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, the staff were amazing and so informative. I loved that they had a little from different cuisines. We had the chicken curry, Brinjal pakoras, Fried green tomatoes and the Cedar salmon and for drinks we had the Basil blast. Everything was so delicious. The taste of the Indian food was so good, given it was majorly an American restaurant. We loved that our pet was accommodated.
Preethi K — Google review
Had a wonderful luncheon with the wife at The Square Root in downtown Brevard. My wife had the crawfish stuffed trout with lobster morney sauce which she enjoyed thoroughly. I had the duck l'orang special which was also amazing. Both came with house salads. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. The place was packed so we were fortunate to get a table without waiting. The noise level made conversation a little difficult. Weather permitting I would choose the outside patio over inside dining. Overall a great experience... 5 Stars!
Mark S — Google review
Quaint restaurant. A Brevard staple. Many restaurants here change over quickly and don’t survive the off season, but this one does. The food is 90% great. The Cobb salad is delicious. Yummy soup and entree specials change regularly. My husband got the peach pork dish and it was 100% raw in the middle, but other than that- great. The pretzel charcuterie is fantastic. Admiral cocktail was pretty good - a little pricey for lack of kick to it. Also beware of pricing. They don’t mark everything and dishes that sound simple are randomly $50+. Wine too!
Hillary H — Google review
Such a cute place with some local history. We enjoyed dinner tonight and dessert. The drinks were amazing! Brenton was our server and was very attentive and knowledgeable. Ask for him when you come in but I heard the other servers and they were very hospitable too! We tried the fall seasoned beets for appetizer and dessert was the peanut butter pie. Their decorator made the pretty flowers! They made our night perfect under the sting lights at the patio! Bravo!

Quixote Fine Cuisine is a contemporary Mexican restaurant in Brevard that offers a unique twist on traditional Mexican dishes. The menu features familiar favorites with innovative twists, such as shrimp in chipotle-orange reduction and chicken in pecan and apple sauce. The restaurant's trendy layout includes a star-lit dining area and an outdoor patio for a laid-back dining experience. With authentic recipes from Guadalajara, the family-owned eatery provides an opportunity to savor genuine Mexican flavors.
Quixote is my go-to when entertaining out-of-town guests. The menu blends traditional Mexican flavors with a fine-dining twist. The Momias—bacon-wrapped shrimp with mango sauce and poblano pepper pasta is a personal favorite. The Salsa de Champiñones - pork, chicken or shrimp in creamy mushroom sauce, with vegetables is a close second. The carrot soup is creamy and addictive, and the portion is substantial. On this visit we opted for steak and salmon dishes. Quixote also boasts the best margaritas in town, with an extensive list of fresh, hand-crafted options (no premixes!). Beer enthusiasts will appreciate the extensive beer menu, offering everything from lights to darks to IPAs, plus flights so you can sample several. The dining room has a cozy and casual ambiance, and the noise level is low, so you can enjoy dinner conversations. During the warmer months I opt for the covered patio seating to enjoy the outdoors and live music. They can accommodate groups but be sure to call to book a table. Quixote is popular with locals and tourists and reservations are strongly encouraged during peak season. Visit their web to see all of their offerings.

We randomly stopped for lunch and we were nothing but impressed by the service, the quality and the atmosphere on top of the food being outstanding! One of our party had a gluten allergy and they did absolutely wonderful in accommodating it! Our server was spot on and the chef came out to make sure everything was OK!

Happened upon this nicer than casual restaurant while exploring Brevard. After a quick check of the menu online, you decided to try it. We had the Papas Lokas as an appetizer. Crispy crinkle cut fries covered with a tangy cheese sauce and drizzled with a flavorful chimichurri sauce. It was delicious. I had the Momias, a half dozen bacon wrapped shrimp hot a bed of poblano cream spaghetti. My wife had the pork Osso Bucco. It was a pork hock marinated with tequila and, what I would describe as l, cochinita pibil sauce. Slow cooked until it was fork tender. It was also served with a side of poblano spaghetti. Everything was delicious. We wanted dessert, but we had other stops to make for treats later. It cost about $75 dollars and was well worth the price. A very unique Mexican style menu. We will come again when we return to Brevard.

It’s rare to find a top notch higher-end Mexican restaurant outside of major U.S. cities (and México, obviously). This place was a delight from the care of the servers to the attention to creating quality food, some of which doubles as art. I will definitely be back!

Came to lunch on a Friday. Not many customers at 12:15. We were greeted quickly and very friendly. We started with the guacamole appetizer. Lots of nice fresh chips on the thicker side. The guacamole was little sour for my taste but fresh and plenty. We had the chicken enchilada lunch menu item. Nice rice and surprisingly good white bean side dish. The enchilada was loaded with fresh white meat. Nothing else inside so dry. Great cheese on top and a little bit of sauce. A nice lunch portion and price. Will come back and try dinner.
Tomas W — Google review
Dislaimer as most people know. Everyone has different tastes so keep that in mind. Stopped in for a late lunch and started with guacamole and chips and a strawberry cider which was a great cider. We expected more from the guacamole, which was made with tomatoes, onions, cilantro and lime. It was made of mostly chunks of tomatoes, onions and some chunks of guacamole. Would have liked more of a guacamole with some tomatoes and onion, not mostly tomatoes and onion. Also shared the Pollo Con Manzana Y Nuez, chicken breast in a creamy pecan sauce, with crunchy apples and rice. It was not quite what we expected, as it was more of a soup consistency, and not creamy like you would think of a chicken cream sauce. Not a lottery of flavor. The male server was very friendly and pleasant although we waited around bit to get our order taken.
Steve N — Google review
Great servers. Shrimp tacos with flour tortillas and trio dip were bomb. My ma gets the bacon wrapped shrimp and pasta. Hubs got fish tacos. Papa got barbacoa dish. I had the elderflower mezcal margarita which was bomb.

Here visiting in town for a short day trip. There was booth and table seating options inside and a nice covered patio. The bartender and the staff were friendly and attentive with good brew and drink specials. We were able to order and get our food quickly. The issue we ran into was disappointment regarding the food and some portion sizes. The $$7.99 guac and chips mainly was just chips. The sauce in the mole had a super sweet bbq syrupy sauce taste and didn’t feel authentic. The rice was unfortunately unseasoned and plain. We did catch them before lunch and dinner reset but was hoping for a better visit. Can’t really recommend this place to others the way it is currently.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in the mountains, The Falls Landing Restaurant has been a staple in downtown Brevard since 1993. It's a popular spot for both locals and visitors, so reservations are recommended. The seasonal menu offers a variety of options, from salads and sandwiches at lunch to seafood specialties like crab cakes and blackened shrimp skewers at dinner. With its romantic ambiance, this seafood eatery is a delightful destination for anyone visiting Brevard, North Carolina.
Falls Landing is a wonderful restaurant. I sat the bar and met some lovely local ladies. The owner, Mike, suggested the trout which was delicious accompanied by a potato cake which I loved. A really nice atmosphere and even a wall with camp memorabilia from the area.

We visited Brevard for the White Squirrel Festival and came across this small, charming restaurant. The menu looked good, so gave it a try later that evening. We had made reservations for two ahead of time and were seated promptly. We both started with a bowl of New England clam chowder. It was good , but barely warm. I had the Fresh North Carolina Trout, sautéed and served with lemon herb butter, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I really enjoyed it. My husband chose the Filet Mignon with borderlaise sauce for his entree which was cooked to perfection. Carrot cake and chocolate lava cake with ice cream completed our meal. Our waitress, Shannon was very sweet and a great server.

Easily made reservations by calling the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and server Mandy was terrific. I’m vegetarian and enjoyed the pasta in a creamy white sauce with veggies and a very crisp side salad with delicious blue cheese dressing.

We have eaten at The Falls Landing on prior visits. Always great food and service. On this visit for lunch the Rainbow Trout Lunch Special was terrfic. The trout was very good with rice and fresh green beans. Our waitress was very good, too. Note when checking hours of operation, they are closed mid-afternoon and reopen for dinner. We thought it was closed one afternoon and it was because Googlemaps showed closed yet it re-opened at 5:00PM. They have a small bar inside and nice booth and table seating.
Charlene M — Google review
What a wonderful dining experience! Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. My salmon was cooked tender and moist. The pork chop was tender and moist, served with mushrooms and onions. I would highly recommend The Falls Landing.

Food not hot, and not good. Service was not bad, but the both room was in bad shape and unacceptably dirty. My sandwich was really just not tasty at all. Not sure what the attraction is here, other than being downtown in a tourist area.

Wife and I had dinner here last night. Initial impression the dining area was small but "intimate". Christine was wonderful. Hot Wingz were PERFECT and DELICIOUS. My main course was the linguini with blackened chicken. PERFECT and DELICIOUS. My Wife tried the Fish n Chips. She wasn't overly impressed. Mentioned not much flavor and the "McDonald's" fries were barely room temp, but tasted fine. An honest review. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK When in Brevard. Prices $$$

Amazing meal. Good quality over the top. Small menu but they were willing to make some adjustments for me so I could eat what I was craving. The pasta and veggies (I substituted linguine for the GF) was amazing. The beet salad, just order it. Very small place. We arrived before 6 but without a reservation we had to eat at the bar but Christina was delightful and cared for us well. Amazing bourbon selection.

We love this beautiful intimate spot. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service is always timely and personable. The servers and bartenders know what they're doing and do it well. The food is always amazing, fresh, and hot. We love it and recommend this restaurant to all our family and friends.

From our arrival, Tiana and Caitlyn made us feel welcome. The food was PHENOMENAL. Trey, the owner/chef, sent out scallops with fried spinach (so light and airy!), and excellent mashed potatoes. Son had sea bass with Tahoe sauce - so good. We also had a bonus pasta dish that was incredible, and some of the best calamari I’ve ever had. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars - the whole crew deserve it!

Holy amazing! This hidden gem was fantastic. We were only going for appetizers, but after the appetizer we realized we wanted the whole experience. This was so worth it. The menu is smaller, but it’s nice that they had specials. The gnocchi were incredible...”like clouds in your mouth”. The scallops melted in my mouth and the sauce got wiped up with the fantastic bread and oil. This one is not to be missed. The drink menu was also great. Cheers 🍻

Food is pricey but very delicious. On street parking. We went right when they opened on a Saturday with reservation. Three out of four of us had wonderful fish. Beet salad delicious. Wonderful spinach

Wonderful evening with family and friends. Small but delicious menu. We sampled as many dishes as possible. Filet meatballs in vodka sauce, Gnocchi with gorganzola cream, fried artichokes and we all split the ribeye for appetizers. Beet salad, Sacchettoni, blackened scallops, double cut pork chop and the chicken and artichoke picatta. All were amazing and even though we had no room for dessert we all sampled the trio, not a bite left. Charming atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and fantastic food. I will come from Nashville again just to eat here!

Vescovo came highly recommended by a neighbor so I visited their website to view a menu then called to book a reservation for the following Tuesday. The service was friendly and prompt. We were seated with a view of the kitchen which was extremely clean and efficient. Started with Calamari which was tender and lightly sautéed. Shared two entrees, the scallops and spinach and the shrimp scampi. The scallops were sweet, perfectly prepared and seasoned, and the flash fried spinach was a surprising and tasty side. The U10 shrimp scampi was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The pasta and cream sauce was perfection. The portions were substantial and could easily be shared if you like to order several dishes to try. I’d highly recommend Vescovo if you enjoy a fine dining experience. You’ll find fresh high quality ingredients, nice ambience, nice wine selections and professional servers. I’ll definitely return.

What an amazing GREAT, LITTLE restaurant. If you are hungry this is the place for a great meal, If you are ready for a culinary adventure... these guys will blow you away! Our first time in... Just a little off the beaten path, in what we were told was called the Lumber district we walked into the Bishop's domain. The first thing we noticed was the warm, playful atmosphere... this is obviously a restaurant where the locals feel at home. Busy night, but the bar was right there, and the staff and patrons made us feel right at home. Waiting for our table was fun, as we discovered the cocktail menu... loaded with great, unique concoctions, all with their own stories, as we were introduced to the neighborhood. The menu is creative and the dishes finished to perfection. Here are people at work who UNDERSTAND and LOVE their CRAFT! Gorgonzola Cream Gnocchi, Filet Meatballs, Artichokes, Smoked Kurobuta Pork Belly & Scallops... YES PLEASE! You can taste the playfulness and pride; local ingredients, unique combination, perfect execution and you can expect a big grin and smile when you tell chef Trey you appreciate his work. If you can get to Brevard, visit this gem, and enjoy the creativity, the people and don't miss the impressive wine list.

American restaurant
Jordan Street Cafe, located at 36 E Main St, Brevard, NC, offers a laid-back dining experience with American cuisine. The restaurant features seasonal patio seating and serves a variety of dishes including steak, seafood, pasta, and burgers. Their menu includes appetizers like Buffalo Chicken Dip and Fried Pickle Spears as well as main courses such as Chicken Parmesan and Mahi Mahi Sandwich. Guests can also enjoy a Maple Walnut Salad or Homemade Bread with Pesto to start their meal.
Jordan Street Cafe is a hidden gem offering a great variety of American fare in a low-key, casual dining spot. Upon entering, you’ll stand in line to order at the counter, then grab a seat on either side of the restaurant. The staff will run your food to you and take care of clearing your table. Their burger and fries are a crowd favorite—always delicious, and I consistently get mine a perfectly cooked medium-rare. The Shrimp and Grits is another standout dish, with just the right amount of heat and a generous portion that’s great for sharing. I also recommend the maple pecan salad, which is fresh with mixed greens, and a flavorful dressing, and comes with the option to add chicken or fish. They offer desserts, and a full bar with signature cocktails, making it a well-rounded foodie experience. The focus is definitely on food quality rather than ambiance and decor, and that’s part of what makes this place popular with locals. I’ve brought small groups here, and each time, everyone has found something they enjoy and left with great things to say. Free public parking is available on W. Jordan Street, through the intersection on the left, just past the bank.

Great menu at Jordan Street Cafe! Bacon wrapped Trout on bed grits was delicious and highly recommended. Beer selection was good but wish it was more local craft beer than national brands

After reading reviews I decided to check out Jordan Street Cafe to see if their Jordan burger was indeed one of the best. I'm happy to report it was delicious. It came with crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese, and dijonnaise (Dijon mayo). Their fries (which look like "swirls") are a delightful mix of crispy and soft & fluffy. Ask for their parmesan peppercorn dressing which is their version of ranch. Nice little twist to dip them in and a nice switch up from ketchup. The bartender said their sweet potato fries are the best so I'll try them next time. The best way to enjoy your dining experience is to first read the home page of their website. They don't have traditional table service, so you'll place your order at one of the bars, they'll give you an order # which you'll take to the table of your choice along with your drink. I chose to sit outside on the patio as it was a beautiful, cool evening. Someone will bring your food and some rolled silverware when it's ready. Meanwhile if you need more condiments, napkins, to go boxes etc it's all off to the side neatly stacked at the bar. If you want drink refills just go to the bar as well. So next time you're in Brevard, check out this little side street haunt. You'll be glad you did.

I love this restaurant and bar. We are patrons and every time we come in it’s a great experience. We love to talk to Brandon. The place is super cool and has two huge fig trees inside making it so special. The food is amazing I ordered the Hawaiian salmon wrap and my husband ordered the Jordan burger which were both delicious.

My husband and I went with friends and we were so happy we chose this restaurant. They must have an amazing chef because the food was wonderful. Although they have kind of self-serve when out of season the service was up and above! The atmosphere was wonderful with the plants and the quaintness of both the bar area and dining room. We had a really nice time because this all made it possible!

What an awesome restaurant! I’m visiting NC with family from south florida and we had a 10/10 dinner. Food quality, quantity, service, and atmosphere exceeded expectation. They are all very nice and attentive. I highly recommend you visit here.

Incredible chicken Parmesan! Maybe the best I ever had at a restaurant. The seafood pasta special was good, but a little too much of fried seafood for a pasta dish. Beautiful views at sunset outside on the patio.
